Israelis and Jewish people are often said to wear their hearts on their sleeves, a testament to the warmth and compassion that define the spirit of this nation.

You rarely, if ever, hear someone say, "I was in Israel or met Israelis, and they were so cold and heartless." This simply isn't the essence of the Israeli people.

Since October 7, our hearts have been shattering on a daily basis, yet, in the midst of this turmoil, the true essence of our national character shines even brighter.

And no matter how much money and effort is invested in slandering Israelis and Jewish people, you cannot convince anyone who has been to Israel or met Israelis or Jewish people that they are anything we are accused by haters of being.

Israelis and Jewish people are a people of passion and compassion, instinctively reaching out to help each other and strangers without a second thought.

In times of danger, our unity becomes our strength, and crisis seems only to fuel our creativity and drive to work harder.

Despite my critiques of my country, my pride in our collective heart remains unwavering.

Our ability to unite in adversity, to extend a helping hand without hesitation, and to continue striving for a better future even when faced with unimaginable challenges speaks volumes of who we are.

The Israeli and Jewish heart is not just about surviving; it's about thriving with empathy, unity, and an unbreakable resolve.

This is the story of Israel and the Jewish people, a nation that, despite its small size, has an immense heart that beats with hope, resilience, and an enduring love for life.

I can tell you with undeniable certainty, that even the dimmest of light will illuminate in the darkest of dark. That small ray of light, although be it meek in its glow, is more than you need to navigate through the darkness, to find your way out of the gloom. Let me tell you friends, we are that light! We are the luminescent hope that traverses the opaqueness of ambiguity in search for the truth. That truth being that, although all around us is deception and fear, manipulation and anger, division and distrust, these forces do not hold water against that in which we have in droves. The sword and the shield that we carry in the fight against these forces of old and evil is our self determination that this nation is one of good peoples. A nation of diverse peoples, that even in their differences, know the difference between right and wrong, who know the difference between good and bad, who know the difference between freedom and oppression. We will not be led astray by would be leaders who seek to divide us, who seek unchecked power, who seek unwavering blind loyalty. There is no need for absolute immunity in the pro-democracy movement because we do not need protection from that in which we would not engage in. Our moral fortitude overcomes the seductions of power, wealth and fame. Because our driving force is freedom, equality and justice. We will not be intimidated by those who would threaten violence against us, who would threaten incarceration towards us, who would threaten our very lives. For we know that it is in the moral high ground we embrace, that our tenants thrive. An American built upon equality, built on hope, built upon the very foundation that through our unity lies our strength. That through our togetherness is where the true power lies. A lie may travel ten times faster than the truth, but the truth hits a dozen times harder than a lie. Our honest approach to the potential that lies within America will not be outshined by those who decry that it is garbage, who claim the notion of its failure. The only failure in America is the failure to snuff out the racist, the failure to hold criminals accountable, the failure to articulate that we will NOT tolerate hate, that criminality is NOT acceptable, in our leadership or society. We do not succumb to the notion that one person is better or deserving of a different set of rules than anyone else. The gate keys of tyranny were long ago tossed in the sea to ensure no tyrant would ever rule with impunity. When I say the forces of old and evil I am implying to this notion of superiority held by anyone over any other. The founders of this nation, flawed as they may be, attempted to set in place a series of guardrails to protect against these forces. Checks and balances meant to keep a consolidation of power out of the hands of anyone one man, and to keep the power where it so rightfully belongs, with the people. These forces of old and evil have conducted a silent affront upon these ideals. Chipping away at the foundations of our democracy, creating loopholes, enacting unjust laws. In their fear of losing power, in their fear of losing relevancy, in their fear, skewed and misguided, thinking that only the wealthy, only one race, only one religion, would fall out of grace and be replaced by a multitude of cultural, political and religious ideology that would replace theirs and become the path in which our nation followed. What they do not comprehend, what they do not understand, is that the success of this nation is based solely on the very diversity in which they fear. That this plethora of ideas, and opinions, of approaches and problem solving, of compromise and communication, has been the fodder that feeds the ingenuity that spawned the inventions that built this nation. Friends. Let us take our small ray of hope, combine them together to illuminate a spotlight and overcome the darkness. We are that ray of hope. We are the guiding light. Together We are the peoples who represent, the United States of America. 🇺🇸
