No, it doesn't make sense, and it's extremely unlikely. It's popular because people ship them, and think a political marriage is a way out of the cousins-who-were-raised-as-and-believe-they're-siblings problem, and also think the show north storyline is how the books will go. for some reason i’m getting a ton of those “ao3 should/should not be an app” posts in my feed and i just need to say, you guys are fighting the wrong battle

what we need is the ability to assign or +1 certain tags to emphasize when a fic is giving us what we want. like some of you have never spent three fucking weeks searching for the perfect soulmate au on a search of the general “soulmates” tag, only to find it in the shape of some three chapter, 50k fanfic with 100 kudos and only three tags to its name but none of them even vaguely related to the word “soulmates” and it shows

Okay can someone explain to me because I have seen it a few ways. Is 1644 chewis or chewie? Which one is the main duo/ship name?

I am not familiar with the fandom history behind how chewie came about (I know it has to do with not wanting to confuse Checo/Lewis) etc but I don't know the timeline or how certain names came about. Because I suppose before this year Charles and Lewis would be considered a rare pair no?

Since when we use these kind of tags on tumblr? 🤔🤔🤔 like do they even work on this platform? I mean tumblr doesn’t have an algorithm that shows you posts of your niche interests based on the posts you engage with. Trust me, I made this account in 2011 and Tumblr is still largely the same, and everyone kinda loathe changes around here, just ask about the icon/pfp size/placement change.

Personally I NEVER go to the “for you” or the “explore” tabs, I loath those things, sometimes tumblr shows you the most random selection of posts you’ve ever seen bc a moot likes them rather than showing stuff that actually intersect with your interests (or shows you a post that you like, and its from your fandom, and you get excited because maybe you found someone new to follow, just to realize someone reposted your stuff lol).

It is much easier to understand that the stuff you post will only be seen by you and whoever follows you, so you need to learn to properly tag your posts so others can see your stuff, never ever crosstag or abuse trending tags for reach (that will only get you block - a lot), and learn which tracking tags align best with your interests/fandoms so you can use them. Also choose tags that interest you an follow them, have a curated list of blog subs and filtered tags (Okay, thats not easy at all but thats how things work here)

In short: tagging your posts "fypツ" does absolutely nothing, tumblr allows you up to 30 tags per post, use them wisely or get blocked, your choice.
