THERE ARE SPOILERS UP AHEAD FOR NINJAGO DR S3!!!!

This post will be tagged properly, but I placed that warning just to be safe. You have been warned~

Now get ready for my dr s3 notes, in no particular order of importance

- Right off the bat, I love love love Frak. We didn’t get to see his personality on full display in s2, and now that I know what he’s like I freaking love this guy. He’s kind of a dick, but not on purpose, more like in a teenager way. He really reminds me of the early season ninja, when they just said whatever tf they wanted, whenever. With Arin and Sora being pretty sweet most of the time, and Wyldfyre being a little pest but not actually saying anything controversial, I like that an overly opinionated guy got added into the mix.

- with that being said, I really didn’t expect Sora to be given a real love interest, but I don’t hate her and Frak as a possible pairing. Ik people interpreted her as a lesbian but idk pan Sora also works for me. Their dynamic is pretty fun. I like that Lloyd can’t pick up on the fact that they’re bonding and not actually full on arguing.

- PIXAL MY BELOVED IS BACK AND HER EYES ARE OOPY GOOPY AND HUGE!!!!!! WHY ARE THEY SO BIG, IS IT TO SEE HER DARLING HUSBAND WITH?

- Zane being goofy w/Pixal as soon as they reunited was what got me to tear up. That might sound weird but I love love, and their love means so much to me :[

- I didn’t know I needed and Lloyd and Pixal hug until they did it and now I need more Pixal hugs with her friends

- “Wow it’s awesome that Morro got his moment. He’s so epic and noble now, what a guy. I hope we see him again.”

- The second and only other time I cried was because of Arin and Sora’s friendship backstory, and when they hugged again for the first time in ages. God damn the writers didn’t have to make their dynamic and friendship that amazing but they did. They are the definition of platonic love, together until the end. While it’s sad that Sora left with Arin and Ras, it actually makes me so happy that she chose friendship.

- ^^ And now to add on. It was obvious from the start that Ras was lying about Arin’s parents. His non specificity about their deaths cemented it for me, and what shocked me the most wasn’t Jay’s reveal. What shocked me was that Jay instantly knew exactly who the ninja were talking about when they mentioned Arin’s parents. Is his memory really good? (It would be ironic, I know) but if Jay was really managing that many people, for like 7 ish years, the idea that he remembered these people who mean nothing to him right away is so Jay of him.

- NOW FOR JAY. He was really awesome as Rogue. Bro was kind of a beast. He took so many damn hits, yet he was suddenly “really hurt” the minute he was offered a warm and safe place to rest (🥲). I doubt his reluctance to go with the ninja was real and not an act. I think he’s genuinely sad and lost, and then these kind people showed up and he doesn’t know how to react without claiming it’s weird. I’m excited for him to learn to be vulnerable again. That was kind of his whole thing before, wasn’t it?

- I need to know what happened to Zane’s actual body. Is it in the suit? Is it under maintenance somewhere else? Like hello?!?! Imagine transferring bodies and being that chill w/it. It will for sure be addressed (I think)

- I really like that Kai and Nya got so many moments together. They deserve to be with each other, and annoy each other to death after being separated for so long.

- For the people who got sidelined a lot- Wyldfyre and Cole - here is why I don’t mind it too much:

- Wyldfyre was given a boyfriend, and while they like each other a lot, I did think they needed more development. And development is what they’re getting. I also liked seeing Wyldfyre apply her lessons with Kai about remaining calm(ish) when things are looking bad.

- Cole, on the other hand, was nowhere to be seen for most of the first half of s3. Why do I not care too much? Because they’re really trying to hammer in the fact that Cole is a family man now, with a responsibility to his husband (yes husband) and his kids. That’s my interpretation, and now I need the writers to commit to a lostshipping kiss :]

He seems like the type to not respond to ANY TikToks he’s sent. Like Sakuragi would SPAM videos and Ryota isnt even opening any of them

I don’t think Rukawa would be very into social media, but if there’s one social that he has, it’d be TikTok

He’d probably have a completely empty acc with like no pfp, 6 followers, and no posts. He would NOT care about being famous on there, although if he even jus posted a video of himself, he’d instantly go viral.

His fyp would be cats, music recommendations, english lessons, and basketball. That boy has NO interest in anything else on there. And he thinks that the other guys’ videos are corny, especially if he saw Ryota’s thirst traps 💀.

Okay so, ima type in what I typed to my friend here.

Yeah, they should have just kept [Viktor] being Ryze. That made more sense to me than whatever this is. And I am all for mlm rep, but yeah, this felt WAY too, Jayvikky. I liked it better that they were brothers to parallel Vander and Silco, who also found each other and became bros, but it seemed like they went with how popular JayVik was and stuck with it. And Jayce being strung with Viktor for wherever they went felt...kinda nonsensical. I'd rather that Viktor was thwarted and too far gone to then just suddenly have a change of heart and go with Jayce. I imagined that he would have a contingency where he, incase his body was destroyed, would then later rise again to try and enact "Glorious Evolution". It would go well with the themes of his beliefs anyway because every time he dies, he comes back stronger in a new body. I feel like that would better set the ongoing conflict and fit well with the game and why he looks the way he does currently.

I also don't like how quick he and Mel's reunion was considering how much he favored her along with his odd and sudden dislike for her decisions-- Seriously, where did that even come from!?"

[Thought it over further. Him calling her out on her actions isn't the issue. It's the timing and how this transpires that confuses me. He just came from a post-apocalyptic world where Mel, Viktor, and everything else came to mind. The lack of time for them to truly talk made the scene felt out of nowhere and not at all fleshed out. He goes on to place part of the blame on her when literally it wasn't. She DID manipulate but only politically. Everything else was on he and Viktor. Then, when he DOES confront Viktor, the vibes are different. Viktor hurt and caused a chain of events that led to several lives being taken to ensure survival and his "Glorious Evolution", why is this essentially overlooked? Maybe when I review this again, it will make more sense, but as of now, the way Jayce treats both Mel and Viktor is VERY questionable.]

"I would have been pretty happy if He at least gave her a hug, a kiss, something to make their relationship seem consistent with what we were shown. I know that he's been gone for a while and a lot more cold, but this was a very odd direction to go with. I am super happy about Cait and Mel fighting side by side and that Mel may be the main character for a new Noxus related show! [Which I knew they'd set up!] but this series, after seeing it in its entirety, DID suffer too much from the pacing issues. I assumed at the First Act that it was quick paced to go with how they've all been shifted into places they didn't see coming, but the pacing issues continued to bring down the quality. 3 seasons would have made way more sense and would go well with the 3 ACT formula they had used. I hope they learn from this and refrain from making similar mistakes.

[I responded to my friend who posted these images above] I knew they'd make a callback to this line eventually, and I am genuinely surprised people are not catching this obvious set up to Jinx living. Also, I am betting that Heimer did "die" but only that alternate version of himself. [Though obviously I could be wrong, though a life of various lifetimes where he helps each version of the main cast sounds very Heimerdinger of him, especially since he didn't wanna leave.]

The biggest letdown for me has to be Jayce and Viktor's story. It just...doesn't make sense with what we have been shown. Also, if Viktor KNOWS bad shit would happen when bringing Hextech to life and all, why TF would he give it to Jayce then???? Or if he STILL wanted magic to be tampered with shy doesn't he comvince himself in a way HE KNOWS would prevent what happens next, surely NOT EVERY timeline has it where you continue on the path of destruction! You see what I mean!?!? Leave the time crap to Ekko, man. This new inclusion makes no sense! And he does this in VARIOUS timeliness for some reason. Man, I wish it was just a random ass mage or Ryze, this added stuff kinda kills the finale for me🫠

I feel that making Viktor time travel ruins a huge aspect of the story, ngl, especially when Jayce argues that people can "craft their own path." The story also shouldn't have ended with what I could only assume both of them "dying" or traversing time instead. Also, the way Sky was treated and essentially replaced with Jayce feels....very very weeeeird."

[I believe that the ending just didn't land that well. I feel, now thinking over every character, Ekko, Mel, and Jinx carried this season HEAVY. These 3 were the most interesting parts of the season, honorable mention being Singed cause he be doing what he MUST. Also, what was the point of introducing Loris if all he was gonna end up being was a random guy who reminded Vi of Vander? I guess nothing is wrong with this, but when you're already stringing for time, these inclusions make no sense... I liked him, though, RIP Loris🤧. Oh, and Caut barely facing consequences is KINDA CRAZY but it goes with the themes of forgiveness/ acceptance. The Cycle would never end, after all, but yeah Vi and Cait made up WAY too fast and just shows that this needed another season. Let me know your thoughts!]

personally, I think the callum/dominic/Sonya love triangle has run its course and should've been done last volume when MC picked a guy to go to the sleepover villa with. So another option to dump a couple is to close up that storyline and get rid of the guy you didn't want between your OG LI and Dominic. If we really wanted the Sonya drama (bc tbf I did like some of the drama this volume but it feels like it should've happened way earlier like bro move on), then the guy could've made an announcement a la S6 Ryan and say he needs to leave bc he's not gonna find love and then at the final recoupling, Sonya gets dumped for being single.

Even Reid got a character arc? And like once again, I hate to defend Ren, but Ruby being so offput and/or oblivious to the romantic advances she receives so she dismisses any flirtation which hurts the guy she's with is such an interesting idea to me and I just know that they didn't do it on purpose. But then she thinks the letter is for Maisie and that that's sweet but it turns out it's for her so she's forced to realize Reid likes her is fun. And I wish during the game when she makes a joke that they start bantering bc she's funny like him too lol

An undertale Au that I'll never work on because I don't have time. But because its been living in my head for a while I'm just gonna lay some things out in hopes it leaves my mind.

For clarification I don't ship Frans (I don't really ship anything) but I made this and wanted to be part of the story for some reason. (Its also a better version of a terrible Frans au I made a while ago)

Well technically its more of a UTDR Au becuase plot: Frisk is the seventh soul (eighth if you count Chara) Frisk makes it through the ruins and ends up killing Toriel. Frisk tries to make it through snowdin and waterfall, dies a bunch of times, gives up, resets and stays in the ruins. (Yes Toriel is still dead)

Frisk stays in the ruins, then many years later another human falls (Kris? I'm not sure if I want it to be a UTDR AU honestly) and Frisk is like, "yeah I'll help you make your way through the underground"

Ignoreing that part though, from Frisks time in the ruins, they're the one who ends up talking to Sans threw the door. Frisk ends up confessing to Killing Toriel, and Sans is something like " bro why tf would you do that? She was my friend" and Frisk is like "She tried to kill me first" eventually Sans just kinda gives up on caring about it since there's nothing he can really do about it. They talk to each other through the door, up unit the last human falls.

Thats when they finally meet each other face to face. Sans wasn't the judge yet when Frisk first went through the underground. Sans, at this point, doesn't really consider Frisk a Friend or anything like that, just someone he can talk to when he needs to. He is annoyed an slightly concerned that since Frisk left the ruins they might end up hurting other people so he keeps an eye on both them and the human Child.

Frisk on the other hand is aware of Sans suspicions and purposefully makes him worried about what they might do (when in reality they have no actual desire to harm anyone else). The reason Frisk does this is because they like him and his reactions, but they're 100% aware that Sans doesn't like them, and probably won't like them. So they just annoy him for the fun of it.(Their logic doesn't make sense I know)

I know this may not sound like Frans, but it is. It involves one of my favorite ship dynamics: Annoying "psychopath" X Someone too apathetic/tired to care.

When Frisk first fell they were 12, by the time the next human fell they're around 22

Anyway so Nezha tuns down the offer for top surgery because she's got morals and standards, and is not about to let the Lady Bone Demon have the ink scroll for a pair of boobs, so the Lady Bone Demon doubles down and offers her top surgery, bottom surgery AND estrogen, and obviously Nezha can't resist that offer, so she hands over the memory scroll and gets her tits and stuff.

Meanwhile, everyone is really fucking tired of the snakes, because at this point there's a hundred or so of them, and Macaque is so tired he just starts stomping them out. And everyone else is horrified because bro wtf this is a kids show you're gonna up the rating, but it's okay because instead of regular blood we got the neon pink paint splatters. And Xiangliu is so horrified by this that he calls the snakes back to him because those are his BABIES YOU CAN'T KILL HIS BABIES.

Anyway the crew gets his ass and they go to lock him up in a dungeon, only to find out it's not a dungeon and is in fact Erlang Shens palace(Idk bro). And Erlang Shen is super confused because why tf are all these people here in his house. Also Xiaotian Quan mauls Xiangliu off his feet. So Wukong explains the situation to Erlang because they're on good terms and Erlang helps them put Xiangliu into an actual dungeon. While they're carting off genderbent race swapped Medusa, they run into Nezha post surgery, and they all think she's looking a little different but they can't really tell, so Mei tries to ask if she got her hair cut and Nezha stomps off because COME ON PEOPLE. It's not like she totally forgot to come out or anything.

So the crew is still confused by they put Xiangliu into a cell, and Erlang decides he'll just go check on Nezha because who knows, maybe she's just having a bad day, and he catches Nezha getting her estrogen pills from the Lady Bone Demon, but he doesn't know what estrogen is, so he assumes that the Lady Bone Demon tricked Nezha into taking drugs. So like a good general whose concerned for the wellbeing of his soldiers, he goes and snitches to the Monkie Kid crew, who are all varying degrees of the surprised pikachu meme.

Now, Sandy thinks they should stage an intervention as Nezhas friends, Macaque thinks they should mind their own business, Wukong is wondering why the Lady Bone Demon never gave the others free drugs, Redson thinks they should tell Nezhas dad(and is immediately booed off the stage) and MK and Mei conspire to catch Nezha in the act.

So MK and Mei learn to cook crack and follow Nezha around trying to get her to buy it from them(in disguises) and Nezha is just really confused because who thinks it's a good idea to sell crack in the Celestial Realm and she doesn't even want drugs??? Eventually she does find out that it's MK and Mei and she's just even more confused, so she just leaves them in the hallway as she has a crisis.

Eventually they do decide to stage and intervention, and after Erlang and Wukong wrangle Nezha onto Sandys boat, everything comes to a head. They're not very good at the whole intervention thing, and Sandy and Pigsy try to keep it friendly, telling Nezha that they're worried about how distant she's been, and Nezha starts yelling about how she's just tired of them constantly belittling her and disrespecting her wishes, and how she wishes they would just like her be a woman, and EVERYONE gets confused at that, because again, NEZHA FORGOT TO COME OUT. So she does come out and everyone is just glad that she's not taking harmful drugs and just getting HRT, but she's still in trouble from getting her stuff from the Lady Bone Demon, because girl wtf????? Coulda gotten free surgery and pills from Taishang Laojun but sis is out here putting the realms in danger for it smh.

Hazbin Top 5

I was going to make a top 10 character list, but realized after the first 5 I didn't know where to place anyone- But in case you're curious, some contenders for the remaining 6-10, in no specific order, were Angel Dust, Charlie, Emily, Niffty, and Sir Pentious. Now here's my top 5 with reasonings and appreciation for them all!

5. Lucifer

Obviously bro is relatable, not only for his awkwardness and hyperfixations, but he also happens to be the same height as I am at about 5'2" (according to the sources I've seen). Being the same height as Lucifer is my biggest flex lmao- I still have no idea why his hatred of Alastor seemed so instant. Like yeah, Alastor was trying to annoy him by being a better dad to Charlie, but the whole 'fuck you' moment happened before any of that started. Did he just sense the bad vibes off of him or what? Anyway, his awkwardness and desperation to connect with his daughter make for probably my favorite lines of the episode, such as the "Hey bitch!" and the whole "You like girls? So do I!" situation followed by him being so distracted he called Vaggie by the wrong name. Perfect comedy

4. Lute

I love her an insane amount for someone who shows up so relatively little with so few lines, but here we are. I've already made an entire post about her, here it is if you want it, so I'll keep this short (Spoiler alert: I failed). I actually don't think I mentioned just how attractive this woman is, so let's get that out there right now. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this, about half the people I've seen react to Episode 6 have seen Lute without her mask, took a pause of recognition, and we all knew what they were thinking before the pressed play. Istg my taste in women (and sometimes even men, thanks Vox) is just "Can they murder me without a second thought? Yes? That's hot". My favorite line of hers is when she's hyping up the army with Adam and says "Rip Vaggie's cunt mouth out her ass!" and even Adam has to be like "damn girl chill what the hell-" She's so feral I love her so much

3. Rosie

Everyone needs a Rosie in their lives. I don't just mean a regular therapist, I mean a person in your life, friend or family member, who will talk you out of your downward spiral and gently call you out on why those paranoid thoughts are actually pretty unrealistic (the other side of the same coin would be Husk, he's just more blunt about it). I'm also still completely convinced she has some interesting and sad backstory based on how she was talking to Charlie and I need to know about it so bad. "It can be difficult to admit to things you're not proud of, especially if those things hurt the ones you love" Ma'am what did you do? I find it hard to believe it's just about the cannibalism. I don't know if in this instance, she's the one who hurt someone or someone else hurt her and she was the one who failed to forgive them, but either way I need answers.

2. Vox

Y'all know I love this man in more ways than one, he one the hottest Hazbin character poll for a reason. But I swear everything about this man makes me love him as a character more. First, I always love a technology based character, his electricity powers and literal screen head are the coolest thing in the world to me. He's voiced by Christian Borle, which was a fantastic choice, along with the glitched effect his voice gets when he's mad, I love to see it. Apparently it's also canon he can fly (with rocket shoes)?? He just keeps getting the best character design choices possible, this can't possibly be fair- The fact his first introduction was being done with Val, telling him to call tf down, and treating him like a child ("Now that's why they pay you the big bucks!") was a pretty good first impression for me lol, made even funnier when it was followed by him losing all sense of rationalism when Alastor entered his line of sight.

1. Alastor

The character my blog is named after, this should not be a surprise. Shockingly enough, despite my obsession for him and acknowledgement of his charming nature and generally attractive design, I' do not simp for him in the slightest'm not personally attracted to him in the slightest. I simp for a TV and yet apparently deer man with permanent smile is where I draw the line idk- The most I want from him is to be as good of a friend to him as Rosie is (well that and to touch his ears but that's a given). But this is another character I love literally everything about. Who would've thought the concepts of 'radio host', 'serial killer', and 'literal deer' would work so well together to create this dapper yet terrifying fucking cryptid. Not only can he be either incredibly scary or a silly guy, he can and has done both at once. Example: Episode 3 when he's just casually eating a deer carcass in his room (in which he summoned a whole ass bayou). I was genuinely so glad when the 'this face was made for radio' thing happened in episode 1, confirming that they were still gonna lean into his creepy-as-fuck distortion and general vibe he had in the pilot. He's horrifying and evil and I love that about him. Meanwhile he also says shit like "Now he's pissy, that's the tea" (definitely taught to him by Rosie) and kicks his legs on the bed like a schoolgirl as if he hasn't committed countless atrocities. My favorite character, everyone-
