Promo Art: An Important Point To Make (Patreon Link)

While creating my characters- it is so, so important to me to make them unique, relatable, and likable- but it is even more important to me to make them different. I'm creating a dating sim. One where my characters are meant to be romanced by the main character. That means that my romantic candidates are supposed to be attractive to the player of the game. But I thought- "Love isn't based around perfection." So keeping that in mind- I've continued to design my characters outside of the conventionally attractive binary. This has been a constant truth with Whittenney, having visible stretch marks, Louis, having a false eye with a working clock inside, Edith, having chipped and gapped teeth, and with another character who I won't name for spoiler's sake. (You'll have to play AAW when it's finished to find out! What a day that will be...)

Anyways, I had just watched "Bohemian Rhapsody" (this is relevant, don't worry!) the night I drew this picture with someone that I won't name. I remember watching Freddie Mercury sing his heart out, and hearing the person I was watching with say, "He would be so much more attractive if he would just get rid of those teeth!" I, of course, having rows of wonky teeth myself, said; "You wouldn't say that to me, to my face. Why would you say that about him?" Not a peep after that! After finishing the movie- I went upstairs to my computer and started sketching Edith with her beautiful teeth.

As I drew Edith, I had actually made a short TikTok video. After I posted it, I had received my first @ mention since I'd joined Tiktok to post my art. Looking into it, I noticed that I had really boosted the confidence of a young woman, who then publicly showed her teeth that didn't fit the norm, because of my post. I was elated. My Edith, with her gapped and chipped buck teeth- had the intended effect on someone. It filled them with self love, and appreciation- and confidence! This is my mission when it comes to the characters I create! I want you all to see them, know them, and hear what they have to say. I want you all to know that you are beautiful in your skin, you are lovable and you are truly one of a kind and an absolute treasure to behold!

Hiya! I’m Tenni. I’m currently making my first game- An Absolute Wonderland. My character designs are very, very important to me. And making characters that are unique, realistic, and relatable is what I strive to do best. Being a white and skinny little bigender person- I don’t know what it’s like to be plus sized, or a person of color. And because I want to make characters who are these things for these people, I need to reach out to these people in order to understand what they want to see in my characters. Looking for a unique new game? Fairytale themes, adventure? Help with real life struggles? Gay romance? Look no further. 

Though still in progress- the game is an Alice in Wonderland themed adventure story, dating sim, and is meant to help players going through difficult struggles in real life. I would love your support on my journey to making something that people of all walks of life can all thoroughly enjoy!

Included within the game is a protagonist whose gender you may choose, four love interests with varying genders, unique characteristics, life stories and body types, and a world filled with magic and whimsy, waiting to be explored.The game also touches upon personal issues that players may struggle with in real life- such as dealing with mental illness or neurodivergence, being non-binary, being LGBT+, having depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, and much much more. The game and it's characters will find ways to help the player deal with these struggles and healthily get through them. An Absolute Wonderland will have all of these wonderful things included. Plus full color illustrations, varying storylines, a full soundtrack, and so much more. An Absolute Wonderland is currently in it's beginning stage. Everything is still very much under the cut and is always subject to change! However, I am constantly working to create a beautiful game that I can share with the world.

I’m a one person team, creating everything by hand, while going through my own personal life struggles and jumping through hoops on the daily. My goal through creating this game is to not only prove to myself that I am capable of creating something beautiful- but to also prove to the world that someone who struggles immensely, and is the opposite of what society considers desirable in the workplace, is more than capable of achieving anything they set their mind to doing. I truly hope that all of you will appreciate the work that I’m putting into this game for everyone to enjoy.

Character Info - Charlie -

Charlie is known as the White Knight around Wonderland. Loved and admired by many people, Charlie enjoys being the one to protect the citizens of Wonderland, and enjoys his work immensely. He is one of the only people in Wonderland that can sway the opinions of the Queen of Hearts- though he can only do so much to keep her from sending her victims to the guillotine. (Its in the kitchen. They cut fruit with it. The Queen always takes fresh fruit with her meals.) Courageous, kind and selfless, Charlie is truly a knight in shining armor.

Charlie enjoys collecting enchanted jewelry and armor so that he can grow stronger and continue protecting the people that he cares about. You'll often find him training outside, guarding at one of his posts, or tending to work at his estate. He's quite the dedicated man.

Character Info - Louis -

Louis is simply known for his talents and handiwork around Wonderland. He is a generous and kind man- though sometimes he'll go a bit off the deep end when it comes to others. Endless favors, constant effort. It's off the wall. He enjoys bright colors, but limits himself with clothing use as he has sensory issues with certain types of fabric on his skin. Oh, and his eye- an accident caused him to lose it. He thought it would be appropriate for him to always be able to ''see what time it is.''  

You'll usually find Louis in his workshop or out in town buying supplies for his work that he's always immersing himself in. He's always busy- but never too busy to make time for you.

Character Info -Edith-

Edith is the Duchess of the Vale of Flowers, a province in Wonderland. She has a strong connection with nature, and enjoys tending to her pepper garden during her spare time. Edith is a sweet and timid girl, yet her feelings for Alice have started to blossom into something much more. You can usually find Edith in her Manor by the lake in the Vale of Flowers. Bring a handkerchief, as her dining hall  tends to smell strongly of fresh pepper.

Character Info -Alice-

Our ever-curious protagonist, Alice. Their age and gender are up to the player- as well as their romantic preferences.

Alice is eager to meet with friends in their newly discovered Wonderland. Alice treats everyone with kindness and an open mind, and it shows through numerous selfless favors and a genuinely gentle touch. This makes Alice the perfect match for almost anyone , and so- everyone hopes for a chance with them.

You can usually find Alice with any of their four friends- Edith, Whittenney, Charlie or Louis. When she's not with them in Wonderland, Alice loves to pass the time with art or embroidery.
