Surprisingly, Theo wasn't dead.
The sound of the gun hitting the roof wasn't exactly the 'bang' he was expecting. He knew he went too far, but he needed results and nothing was working!
Still, watching Red Hood pace back and forth, Theo couldn't help but think of a caged animal, a dangerous one. With out thinking, his tone of voice and mannerisms changed to match.
Look... you and I both have people we want to protect. The difference is you know how, all I want is to learn.
Hood had stopped pacing but still wasn't looking at him.
Jason stood on a roof top, watching the building across from him. It had never been a problem before, just some relatively uneventful homeless kids, he tried to check in on them from time to time. Tonight, though, he had gotten a tip from Oracle. Not a lot of details, just a scared kid who said something dangerous was about to happen. Whatever, he didn’t have a set plan for tonight anyways.
Then he noticed something on the roof top behind him, someone.
He took out a gun, spinning to point it at whoever had thought they could sneak up on him to find… a kid, standing by the door to the roof. He sighed, lowering his arm, he really didn’t wanna be dealing with this right now.
God, what are you doing up here, kid?
-@the-red-hides-the-blood
When Theo opened the door to the roof, he was shocked that the Red Hood actually bothered to show up.
Dam, you... you really came. I didn't actually expect this to work.
Theo was nervous, but he showed up, maybe he’ll actually listen!

Killing me for trying to protect someone important to me? Yea… I wasn’t talking about the bat.
This… was a low blow, there was no getting around it.
Obviously, Theo wasn’t in the same situation that had tragically lead to the death of the second robin.
Still, Theo was desperate. There were people he needed to protect and he didn’t know how. All he could hope for was that he could get Red Hood to understand, even just a little.
This probably wasn’t the way to go about it, but he wasn’t trying to trigger him exactly… then, when he saw the gun in Red Hood’s hand start to shake…
Theo had thought he was done learning about fear.

YEA NO THAT WAS FAIR.
Dam it, Theo! Fuck fuck fuck, man! Obviously, he had no intentions of hurting Lían, or anyone Hood knew for that matter, but Theo just HAD to run their big fucking mouth and go be an absolute idiot!
How was he going to fix this?
What? You gonna kill me?
Right, by being even more of an idiot… smart.
And here I thought you didn’t want to be like him… that he isn’t the one that made you.

This might be a bit too far…
No kids, huh? Well, I know a little girl who’s gonna be very disappointed to hear that…
Yup, that was too far, and Theo got the proof before he even finished speaking.

Holy fuck holy fuck holy fuck this was working maybe?!?
Not the time to get shy now, Theo! Deep breath, what was the big deal? The brick of a man in front of you had only been threatening your life… not a big deal… Whatever, fake it til you make it.
Yea. Yea, I know the “demon spawn”.
Air quotes do wonders for a person’s snarkiness levels.
I also know how you know him, so unless you want me to start spewing about the whole colony, I suggest you start taking me much more seriously, much faster.

That’s what he thought the problem was? Please. Theo’s circumstances were a bit odd, thought this was Gotham so thats basically the norm.
Still, Red Hood hasn’t left yet, so there’s still a chance.
Okay, ridiculous assumption that keeping my distance would keep me safe.
One, I live in Gotham, everything is dangerous, plus, I’m currently homeless, so bit of a double whammy there.
Two, staying away from vigilantes has been proven to not work, based on last time, and, with the way y'all multiply, there’s bound to be one on each corner by next week, anyways.
Whoops, Theo could see that their rambling was losing Hood, okay, okay, hail mary time.
and THREE, before I can even try to be a good friend to Damian again, I need to be able to protect him.
Even though the mask Theo could tell that at least peaked Red Hood’s interest.

Theo really didn’t know what he was expecting.
This was The Red Hood, the biggest crime lord in Gotham.
But he had training and experience and felt no need to debrief Batman on his activities, he was the best option Theo could hope for. He needed this to work and he would do what it took, even if it was objectively stupid to keep pestering this man who literally just threatened to kill him if Theo kept pestering him.
It’ll be fiiiinnnnneeeee… right?
Wait! Please, all I want is to protect the people I care about, or at least make it so they don’t have to worry about protecting me… again.
Theo’s voice had trailed off into only a bit above a whisper by the time he finished his sentence. He couldn’t let himself be vulnerable like that again… he’d never forgive himself if history repeated itself.

Right, the tip… He might not be super happy about what Theo was about to tell him…
Ha, you’re gonna laugh when I tell you this… I kinda… sent that tip in… The kids in that building are actually doing pretty well, all things considered, Jamie wasn’t feeling great last week but they’re actually doing a lot better! And Kyle’s rib is almost- I mean… the point is there’s nothing happening tonight. I gave a fake tip to Ba- err, Oracle so that I would know where to find you.
Can you imagine trying to get a fake tip to basically the information superpower of… everything without raising any suspicion? This needed to pay off.

(ooc: Theo isn't the antagonist.. let me have fun, also, this isn't cannon lol)
AITA for running away from my only friend after he looked for me for 6 months cause my family faked my death?
I (13M) met my friend (13M) about 2 years ago. We were in the same class, and neither of us really talked to anyone. One day, he asked about what I was drawing, and we ended up becoming pretty good friends.
We were really close, he was my only friend and the only person I've been close to at all since my sister "went missing" over 8 years ago.
Anyways, I thought he knew about my family's curse, basically the while city does, but I guess he didn't and he got kinda upset last year when I told him my birthday was coming up and I was feeling down cause I was gonna die. 🤷 He didn't talk to me for like a week. He told me he had just been busy, though.
Long story short, I didn't die, my family jusy sold me to some crazy supervillian (just Gotham things, lmao) and he rescued me after about 6 months (I think, time was weird).
The thing is, he hurt his arm REALLY bad when he saved me. I had low key been absolutely fucked up on these drugs the crazy dude gave me and had seen him die like a shit ton, and these vissions always started with him coming to save me. I got scared that he would end up dead again cause of me, so I ran from him.
I've been avoiding him for some time now, but I've started training with his brother(?) to get stronger, so I'll be able to protect him or at least not be the reason he gets hurt.
I'm avoiding him cause I don't want him to get hurt, but I've been feeling pretty shifty cause I feel like he deserves an explanation? I mean, I know he had other friends, but I was his only one at school, and he saved me and everything... idk. AITA?
TL;DR: Only friend got hurt saving me, so I've been avoiding him for months with no explanation until I'm strong enough to protect him.
if you're trying to get into the head of your story's antagonist, try writing an "Am I the Asshole" reddit post from their perspective, explaining their problems and their plans for solving them. Let the voice and logic come through.

Right, um, sorry. I just I didn’t really expect you to show up, I-
God, Theo, ramble much?
Theo was clenching and unclenching his hands, his mind racing with a hundred different thoughts. He shook his head a took a quick breath to focus himself.
Whatever, just, please, I need you to train me!

My drafts are a mess cause, like, it's writing that I've put a lot of thought and effort into, but also totally only stuff I've already retconed in my own mind
Which I could take back cause it's all in my own mind
But I fully can't the little fuckers in my head have free will for some reason, and it's fucking with my plans

Edit: ooc post
Wanted to add my oc to this so
Theo - cryptids/conspiracies
the amount of PowerPoints he's made, and the corkboards with red strings that are in his closet are concerning
Several videos (independently) start circulating on the internet of the Waynes info dumping.
Bruce - the role of railways in westward expansion in the 1890s
Dick - clown eggs
Jason - tb and the New England vampires of the late 19th century, with reference to vampire literature
Cass - Paris sewer system
Tim - comparison of different camera lenses from different manufacturers, with model numbers
Duke - anti homeless architecture and how to remove it
Damian - cat declawing
After all this, a new meme forms.
'You must be this autistic to get adopted by Bruce Wayne.'
