take a chance with me? ❆park sunghoon❆
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings : park sunghoon x reader
genre : fluff, romance, sunghoon asking you out on a date :)
synopsis : your crush asks you out on a date at the wrong time.
warnings : profanity but just a little bit.
wc : 538
notes : inspired by niki's song "take a chance with me". actually took me like almost an hour to find good pictures on pinterest and thank god i did. i was also thinking on what fic i should be writing next so if you have any suggestions, feel free to message me! anyways, that's all hope you enjoy!
---
you've been crushing on this guy for god knows how long. you could even swear that his laugh is the kind that colors the sky. heck, you'd even die for it. you've seen him countless times around campus and even in a few classes but yet he doesn't lay an eye on you. not even once. you two have been in hangouts together because of a friend of a friend and he still doesn't make a single conversation with you. i mean what can you expect from THE park sunghoon? he's got everything every girl wants in a man, and that includes you. his eyes, his smile, his hair, his body, and even that goddamn mole on his nose. god, you're clearly a sucker for that man but no matter how obsessed you are, you'll still straight up deny them. you wished you could be the one that could love sunghoon more than a friend. you wished that you could be the one to comfort him when he's not in the mood. you'd even wished that you could be the person that he'd call you "his". but all came to a stop when he asked you on a date.
"wanna go out with me?" he said just outside of the front door of your apartment.
"i'm sorry, what?" you replied all confused. i mean in your defense you just  got up from your cute little afternoon nap and now here you are. all confused and sleepy to even comprehend a word he's saying, let alone a sentence like that.
"look, if you don't feel like it it's totally fine-"
"oh no no no, you don't understand, i would love to go out with you but like why?" you asked. god, you look so stupid right now. like would a pajama party be an ideal set up for you to ask somebody on a date? no.
"well-" poor boy got cut off again.
"you know what? i'll go. when and where do you wanna take me?" at this point you can't take it anymore. him looking at you in this state especially when you just woke up from that two hour nap is a definite no no.
"well, a picnic at the park on friday next week maybe? i'll pick you up here at around 2pm. that is if you're free."
good lord that smirk. made you fold easily but of course you didn't. now you're blushing like bitch.
"oh yeah, sure i'm definitely free," god, you hoped that he wouldn't notice.
"so it's date then, yeah? alright i'll see you on friday, sweetheart," he winked.
'uhm squeeze me?! where in the fucking world did that "sweetheart" come from???' you thought. standing there like an idiot.
"sure sure, see you then, sunghoon," you really tried your best to keep your stance, you really did but as soon as that door was closed, you couldn't help but squeal, screech, scream, and cry at the same time. all you hoped was that sunghoon had a good distance far from the door.
but he didn't. he quietly walked to your door shortly after you closed it and listened while smiling at himself. you could tell he was really proud. damn that little bitch.

*slides in from the left, overshoots, scrambles back into view after an extended period of crashing sounds with that one cat yowl* howdy I heard you write headcanons :D
Do you have any particular thoughts on how cuddly some of the guys would be? Like who's happy to cuddle, who would doze off, who would be all awkward about it lol - I just like to cuddle my besties haha
Hope you have a great day - and make sure you stay hydrated!
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
Ok so this technically falls under the category of x reader but I'll try! I'm not writing these as romantic though! Bestie cuddles.(Most of these depends on your like prior friendship status to them so I'm going to assume that you're like friends. like close ish idk)
Also I don't really know how cuddles work. It's just hugging right? Like sleepy hugs?? Never experienced it before. I'm trying.
Part one: they hug you.
Riddle: 7/10 he'd be like... Okay?? The most awkward thing ever he's trying not to be weird about but then he'll get comfortable and relax. Touch starved.
Ace: 8/10 Prefers second long hugs and stuff but he's down for it. He'd fall asleep instantly.
Deuce: 9/10 AWKWARD. And then he'll get comfortable and it's the best thing ever. -1 point for snoring.
Cater: 10/10 the best. He's touch starved and just waiting. Waiting for a hug.
Trey: 5/10 he just kinda... Wraps his arms around you. He's trying. And failing.
Leona: 2/10 he doesn't hug you. Just sleeps. It's peaceful though and he does wrap his tail around you so???
Ruggie: 10/10 he will randomly run up to you and jump in for a hug. Cuddles all the time. It's the best.
Jack: 10/10 big teddie bear. It's great. He's somehow soft?? Like? Where did your muscles go?
Azul: 8/10 he's... Slightly uncomfortable. He doesn't hug often. But when he does it's really nice. Like. He's squishy.
Jade: 7/10 he's... Decent at cuddling. Again he just kinda. Wraps his arms around you. Extra points for like. Fitting well? Against you??
Floyd: 10/10 again like Ruggie he just runs up and hugs you. He's just more... Feral. It's terrifying. You think he's going to bite you and then you get a hug.
Kalim: 11/10 the sweetest. "Im so happy I could hug you!" And then he does. The cardigan is soft. Cuddles are the best.
Jamil: 7/10 most of the comfort would come from the really fluffy blanket that Kalim gifted to him. It's good. But he's like. Burning hot.
Vil: 5/10 doesn't 'do' hugs. But he will. He. Will. It's awkward. Would be better if he was relaxed. If he's relaxed it's a 10
Rook: 9/10 so comfortable. He's somehow soft? Like? Where did your bones go? -1 point for the hat staying on.
Epel: 10/10 *cries* again. The sweetest. He's soft like rook but firm. Like vil. It's a combination.
Idia: 7/10 he's gaming. Like literally gaming as your cuddling. Hello? Respect?
Ortho: 9/10 Hard. That is made of metal. But he's super sweet about it!
Malleus: 8/10 Squishy. You'd never expect it.
Lilia: 7/10 just kinda shows up behind you and. Oh you're being cuddled. That's nice.
Silver: 8/10 takes after his father. He's less... frightening about it though.
Sebek: 6/10 he's stiff. He's just like... There? Idk +2 points for trying.
Crowley: 6/10 he's hugging you and then. Where did he go? He's gone? The opposite of Lilia
Crewel: 6/10 the coat is fuzzy and soft! He's not.
Trein: 8/10 this man canonically has daughters. He's good at hugging. he'll hug you like you're his child.
Lucius the cat: 100/10 it's. a. cat.
Vargas: 6/10 muscle. That's all you're feeling.
Sam: 7/10 boney. I mean. Look at him. He gives good hugs though
Neige: 10/10 I totally forgot him last time but. Anyways he's the sweetest. He's soft. The best hugs.
Chenya: 9/10 like Floyd. Thankfully he won't Bite.
Grim: 11/10 more feral cat.
Part two: You hug them.
Riddle: 8/10 he's so happy. He might cry.
Ace: 9/10 will just lay on your chest and it's the most comfortable thing ever. -1 point for falling asleep and not moving for hours... You missed classes.
Deuce: 8/10 less awkward! More snoring.
Cater: 10/10 Leans into it. Falls asleep so fast.
Trey: 9/10 stiff but will relax over time. Back hugs. He loves them.
Leona: 10/10 not big on hugs but being hugged? Yes. He purrs.
Ruggie: 10/10 sleeps. his tail wags. It's adorable
Jack: 10/10 big softie. His tail wags and it's probably the best thing ever.
Azul: 9/10 Squishy. Again. Im not sure how to describe it but like human octopus? Idk he's literally and octopus so??
Jade: 7/10 you have to grab this mf. He's too tall. Good hug though.
Floyd: 9/10 Again. Grab him. Better hug than Jade
Kalim: 11/10 does this need an explanation? Big on being cuddled.
Jamil: 8/10 confused. He'll figure it out. Awkwardly hugs back
Vil: 7/10 0-0 <- his face. Hes just. There?
Rook: 8/10 hugs back. Pretty much the same as when he hugs you. -2 points for still keeping the hat.
Epel: 11/10 somehow better? He's lovin' it.
Idia: 8/10 Drops his console. Tries to grab it. Fails
Ortho: 10/10 lifts you. Like. He floats. As a happy response. It's shocking but like. So cute.
Malleus: 8/10 froze. Like Vil. He's just. There.
Lilia: 9/10 "oh. Okay!" Comfortable silence.
Silver: 10/10 asleep. +2 points for the birds.
Sebek: 8/10 Shocked. (Get it? Zigvolt) silently leans into it. Touch starved.
Crowley: 7/10 THE FEATHERS ARE SPIKY?! HOW?! Overall good.
Crewel: 8/10 same as p.1 just. Shocked. He's soft now?
Trein: 10/10 honestly. I don't know how'd he react. Would deffo hug back. It's a bonding moment. He cradles you in his arms.
Lucius the cat: 0/10 scratches you. Unless you've earned his love. 1000/10
Vargas: 8/10 hugs back too tight. You can't breathe.
Sam: 9/10 boney. But good? Somehow??
Neige: 11/10 melts into it. he literally cannot stop smiling.
Chenya: 11/10 Cat. Purrs. +1 for being purple. I love purple.
Grim: 11/10 another cat. Another. Cat.
Authors Note: spot the Voltron reference. Also holy moly I had no clue how to write this.

❄️Rise of the Guardians: Closer to You [Jack Frost X Reader]❄️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground illuminating the snow below. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky as you gazed out the grand window for a short while.
You heard a slight tapping against the hard wood floor of his bare feet. You found Jack wandering down the hall and met up with him. "I'm starting to feel sleepy." You told the winter spirit. "My schedule has been off since I abruptly stop my medication. My doctor cancelled our phone appointment since he had an emergency leave, so I'm stuck without them for a while." You stifled a yawn, turned to Jack, smiled, and took his hand. "But I could sure use a cuddle buddy tonight."
The pale crescent moon began to shine like a silvery claw in the falling night sky. The occasional clanking of toys being made in the nearby workshop broke the silence.
"I'll be your cuddle buddy. You can even fall asleep while we cuddle. I'll be here with you, don't worry about it." He let go of your hand and put his arms around you. "Do you want me to sing you a lullaby? I can if you'd like?"
"Okay." You smile sheepishly. "We can stay in my room. I have a Borealis light. I hope you don't mind. Oh, I didn't know you can sing. That'd be nice actually."
Oh, of course I wouldn't mind staying in your room! It would be a pleasure. I'll make you feel comfortable as I can. And my singing isn't really good, but I hope you'll like it anyway." He smiles back at you. "And is the Borealis light those kinds of star lights that shine on the ceiling? Because I love those!"
"Yes, it is! You said excitedly. "It glows different colors too. Would you like to crawl into the covers with me? I'm weird about blankets. I need them even when it's hot. It's a comfort thing."
"I don't mind at all. I like to feel comfortable, so I understand. So I'll go with you." He holds you gently and leads you to your room. "What color do you want for the star light tonight, my dear?"
"Ummm." You hesitated. Blue! It's my favorite color. "Oh, I've got to change into my PJs. I don't have any that'll fit you. I'm sorry." You reached your door and opened it for him. "Well, here's my room."
As he follows you to your room and see the room for the first time, I can't help but smile and admire all the beauty and the coziness. "It's a wonderful room. North did an amazing job!" He playfully nips at your nose. "Don't worry about the PJs, I'll be fine."
He moves in closer and corners you. You're now trapped between him and the wall. "I've never had a guy in my room before so this is my first time." You stuttered, your face growing immensely hot.
He laughs. "You're very cute when you blush, you know? It's okay. I don't mind being the first. Actually, it's a huge honor for me." He looks deep into your eyes, a huge grin playing across his face. "You're not going to be needing these." He chuckled, tugging on your shirt.
Jack was drop dead gorgeous and that was the truth. He was a total sweetheart that much you could tell, soft spoken, helpful, smart, handsy, every quality that made his personality attractive. Though, you weren’t sure if that’s what this could turn into.
You escaped his grasp and quickly dive into the blankets, hiding inside. "Come find me!"
"Sounds fun! Wait for me!" He immediately removes his hoodie and belt, leaving his pants unzipped.
He starts trying to search with his hands. When he finds you, he smiles and gives you a small peck on the lips. "Found you!"
You giggled and placed your hands around his neck.
"You're adorable when you hide like this. You look so cute. You make me so happy. Truly and completely. You're just perfect. I love you."
Before you can say anything, he’s kissing you softly, hoping to convey his feelings more through touch. You hum softly, relaxing against him as he rolls over, resting on top of you. You trail your hands from his hips to his chest, raking your nails gently down his skin. You suck in a sharp breath as he kisses down your neck, his hands sliding up the shirt, sending goosebumps along your skin. As he pushes up the shirt, exposing your skin, wanting to see you with fresh eyes. He pulls the shirt over your head, sitting up and taking the time to really look at you. As he stares at you, you almost feel self-conscious, making you want to cover yourself, but he’s lowering himself back down, placing kisses on your skin. You relax the further he goes, his hands reaching underneath you to unclasp your bra.
He slowly moves it out from underneath you, setting it somewhere to the side, his hands caressing each breast in hand. The sensation of pleasure rolls through you, and your back arches as you close your eyes. You didn’t know what to do with your hands, but the moment his tongue laps at one of your nipples, your fingers are tangling in his hair, a breathy moan escaping your lips. His other hand teases your other nipple gently, rolling it in between his fingers, loving the way you squirmed. His ocean eyes are on your face, taking in your features. Before long, he's switching to the other nipple, palming your other breast. He groans against your skin, trailing kisses down the valley of your breasts. The lower he gets, the faster your heart beats. He nudges your thighs apart, his fingers curling around the waistband of your underwear. His cease in movement causes you to open your eyes. He’s waiting for you to give the okay. With a small nod, he’s swiftly removing your underwear in a matter of seconds.
Nudging your legs further apart, you hold your breath as he kisses your inner thighs, squeezing lightly. His eyes almost roll into the back of his head as he tastes you for the first time. A squeak leaves your mouth as his tongue dips between your folds. Your fingers curl into the sheets, eyes closing as you rock into his face. “Oh…” You moan, sucking in a sharp breath. Jack takes both of your legs, lifting them over his shoulders, angling your lower body upward. His tongue laps against your clit, and he slides a finger into your depths, your answering whimper leading him to continue. He keeps his free hand against your hips, keeping you still as you started to squirm. “Oh fuck…” You rasp, your hands now moving towards his head, either in an effort to keep him there or push him away, you weren’t sure. His humming against your skin makes you shudder, and he slips another finger inside, gently pumping them forward. Your legs are shaking now, toes curling, and your fingers tighten in his hair.
He then starts this sucking motion with his mouth, and you can’t help the quiet wail that leaves your lips. Some part of you prays to God no one could hear you. Your sexual experience wasn’t anything to brag about. With Jack still holding your hip, the friction you wanted so badly was being withheld, and it was frustratingly pleasurable. Your head swims as you lock your legs behind his head. His fingers dig into your flesh in response. “Please…” You breathe out, not sure what you were asking for, but you were asking for something nonetheless. You could feel the pressure building in your body, and your soft moans and curses were uncontainable the closer he brought you to ecstasy. Most men at this point would change the rhythm to a faster pace, but Jack? He continued with this languid motion of flicking his tongue and pumping his fingers like time didn’t exist. Your thighs were practically vibrating over his shoulders, you’re breaths wispy and ragged.
He loved it.
“Jack…” You pant, your eyes screwing shut, white flashes dancing across your dark vision. You were this close. The more he licks and sucks on your flesh, the more of you he tastes, the closer you were to losing your mind. He then replaces his tongue with his thumb, rubbing your clit in small circles, his tongue plundering back into your slick, wet, folds, intent to get all he could. That was your undoing. He finally lets up on your hip, and you rock into his face as your orgasm takes over every part of your body. With your legs clenched around his neck, it kept him there, licking everything you had to offer and more. He didn’t care that you practically soaked his face and the sheets, he was on a high just knowing he got you there. He takes one final lick from the very crevice of your pussy to the top, before easing up, gently unclasping your shaking legs. He kisses each thigh in passing as he lowers your legs down. Your fingers had finally released his hair and if he were human, you’d probably have ripped a few chunks out. You still shudder as he kisses back up your now tired body, before taking your lips, and you moan softly, though you had no energy to do anything more. You can taste yourself, and it was mix between a salty and somewhat of a tart taste if you could describe it. It wasn’t a gross thing you’d think it would be.
He releases your lips to breathe, and your eyes are barely open at this point, but you’re able to see the satisfied look on his face before you close your eyes completely. His frigid body leaves the bed, leaving you even more cold for a moment and you hear water running before he’s back in a minute if not less, wiping between your legs gently. Not wanting to disturb you further, Jack sets the warm towelette on the back of his chair, pulling the covers from under you on top, nestling beside you as you curl into his side once he settles. He kisses your forehead as you drift off into sleep, his arm settling around you.
It was nearly midnight, and the night sky was picturesque. A black to navy gradient was the backdrop for a full moon; the night sky so clear you could almost see every crater. The moon, a glowing yellowy white, loomed large, surrounded by an ethereal glow.
"I'm ready for bed." You snuggled him close.
"Good night, love. Sleep tight. I'll be right here if you need me. I'll be your protector. I'll be your shoulder to cry on. No matter the problem, I'll be right here for you. You're my rock. My world. My everything. I'll always love you. So, sleep tight and dream of me."
"How can I not dream of you? You're already in my every thought." You laughed. "Goodnight Jack."
"Sweet dreams. I'll always dream of you, too. I'll always love you, forever."

The Bad Guys season 1: Our Own Story (chapter 27) - The Story Of The 6th Bad Guys part 2
First Previous Next
Hey Guys, I am very sorry I haven't updated for almost 2 weeks because of being busy in school, and an upcoming poster of my new The Bad Guys story. I hope you'll like this new chapter. This chapter is part 2 of Hornet's story of joining the Bad Guys, and how he became to be at this time. Good luck!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Intro
Mr. Wolf: Yeah! I'm bad!
Mr. Snake: You're bad!
Ms. Tarantula: He's bad!
Mr. Hornet: She's bad!
Mr. Piranha: We're bad!
Mr. Shark: Who's bad?
The Bad Guys: Yeah! We're the Bad Guys!
The next day, in the afternoon, as Hornet just sat down in the vent while hugging his favorite stuffed swan, all alone, he could hear the Bad Guys' conversation at their dining table.
"I'm sorry, Wolf, but I don't think Hornet is good enough to be part of the team," Snake said.
Hornet crawled towards the opening really slowly, and listened to them.
"Come on, Snake, he's still a rookie. He's new to this," Wolf told him.
"So, he did a foolish thing in our last heist, but nobody's perfect. Not even me," Shark admitted.
"He's trying, and that's what matters. Some people got bored in their old job, and wanted to do something new, like what Hornet did. He's still one of us," Tarantula added as Hornet smiled after hearing two of his friends standing up for him, despite the results of his recent actions at their last heist. Tarantula then turned to Piranha, who was slouching on his seat with his arms crossed, "Right, Piranha?"
"Right?" Shark inquired.
"Well…" Piranha sounded like he had other opinions.
This made Hornet, who was still listening from the air vent, Shark, and Tarantula gasp in shock when they noticed that Piranha had different thoughts about his new friend.
"Hey look, don't get me wrong! Of course I understand Hornet was trying…" Piranha explained where he stopped in mid-sentence.
"But?" Tarantula asked.
Piranha then admitted, "But, I don't know. We never failed a heist before. I don't want to be mad at Hornet for not being the best at being a Bad Guy like us. I mean, I got used to us succeeding before we had him, I…"
"That's because he's not a Bad Guy!" Wolf shouted while slamming his paws on the table.
Having heard this painful statement from Wolf, Hornet became even more shocked, heartbroken, and depressed. He hasn't felt this feeling before since the other hornets of his hive abandoned him to die. He quietly flew deeper into the vent system, and put his left arm against his tearful eyes.
Wolf then added, right after Hornet left the opening, preventing him to hear more about the conversation, "Not yet, anyway. He's brand new to this. You've got to give him time to figure out who he wants to be, and how he fits into this crew."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later at night, when all the Bad Guys fell asleep, Hornet quietly flew out of the vent, and watched his friends sleeping soundly. Hornet was devastated. It was confirmed by them that he's not a Bad Guy at all like them. He made himself different from them, like how different he was in his colony; being the nicest and friendliest murder hornet there is, and with the Bad Guys, he wasn't a criminal like them. He didn't know where he belonged anymore. He tried his best to fit in with the Bad Guys, but he wasn't sure if he could fit into the whole world.
"I'm not sure if I'll ever fit in," Hornet sniffed while hugging himself, "If I don't fit in and let them down, they'll kick me out in the streets. I'll be alone again."
Hornet flew to the window to look at the starry sky. It was cold and dark outside. If the Bad Guys hadn't taken him in, he would be out there. He looked back to his sleepy friends. Seeing them made him realize as long as he was around, they would be in big trouble.
"No…" Hornet snapped out of his thoughts, "I can't let that happen again. I have to make it up to them. I have to make things right for them."
Hornet quickly wore his helmet, and quietly opened the window that gives a small gap for Hornet to squeeze out. He looked back to his friends, and said quietly, "Sorry about this, guys. But I'm only doing this to earn back your trust," Hornet then squeezed himself through the gap, and successfully flew out of the window before flying away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hornet flew all over the city to look for perfect banks to steal. He looked around for half an hour, and he found one. Hornet used the ventilation system to get into the bank instead of taking the front door. He was known as the newest member of the Bad Guys now, so he has to be careful. Using the ventilation shaft was easy for Hornet to get inside the bank. Using his helmet, he got a chance to snap the photos of the blueprints that the Bad Guys kept for planning for the next heists. He found a match after sliding the other ones, and followed the blueprint of the vents like a map. He could locate the safe of the bank, so he followed his map.
When he arrived, Hornet flew down from the opening of the vent, and he was now in front of a giant safe. Hornet congratulated himself by clapping his hands, and flew towards it. He tried to figure out how to get into this safe, until he found a tiny hole that might fit him. Hornet quickly squeezed himself to fit into the hole, and shook his body to slip in. When he popped in, there he could see the safe kept a whole pile of money and gold. It was like a treasure hunt for Horne,t and he got the jackpot. He'll finally repay the Bad Guys for taking him in. Hornet pulled out a small bag, and dove into the pile. Hornet started to pick up coins one by one, and put them into the bag.
"Oooh, the guys are gonna be so happy!" Hornet squealed as he kept digging," Unbeknownst to him, Hornet was watched by a security camera behind him, "Ooh, a quarter," Hornet found a quarter, and put it into the bag.
The security camera then zoomed in, and he was live at the monitors.
Minutes later, seeing how full his bag was, Hornet thought that would be enough to steal money for his friends, "Perfect!" Hornet closed the bag, and lifted it up with him. It was a little heavy though, but he couldn't let his size stop him now. But then, the room was flashing red, and the alarm was heard really loud, "Uh-oh!"
Then, he heard loud banging noises from the safe's door, until the door was kicked open by the chief of police with her fellow cops behind her.
"A-ha! There you are, you little bee!" Chief Luggins shouted.
"I'm a hornet!" Hornet yelled.
Chief Luggins didn't care as she commanded the other cops, "Get him!"
When two of the cops ran in, Hornet used his flight to avoid getting caught by the two cops. They tried to grab him, but he kept slipping away.
"Ha-ha! Miss me!" Hornet laughed.
He continued to keep the cops busy chasing him, until both cops accidentally bumped into each other. Hornet laughed loudly as he thought he could taste freedom, but was grabbed by the large gloved hand of the chief of police.
"Gotcha!" Chief Luggins grinned
Hornet tried to squirm as he struggled to break free, "Let me go! Let me go!" Even with or without the glove, Hornet has no guts to sting her. He wanted to prove he was not a murder hornet that everybody thought of him
"So, you're the new Bad Guy, huh? Well, too bad you got captured on your first crime alone. You know, I have a special jail for you," Chief Luggins chuckled as Hornet gulped nervously.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, Piranha was up early to cook breakfast for his friends, but he noticed someone was missing. When the rest of the Bad Guys finished their morning routines after waking up, he greeted them.
"Buenos Dias, chicos! Have you seen Hornet? I haven't seen him this morning. He didn't come for breakfast."
"No, I haven't seen him either," Wolf answered.
"Now that you think about it, I haven't seen him since last night," Tarantula said.
"Do you think he… left?" Shark asked worriedly.
While the Bad Guys looked worried, Snake wasn't, and he didn't care about the insect as he mumbled, "Good riddance."
But his friends heard him, and scolded loudly, "Snake!"
Snake turned around to face his friends, and declared, "What? That bug did nothing but trouble."
"Well, that bug might be a little misguided, but his heart's in the right place. He's trying, Snake. He wanted to be part of this team. You should give him a chance," Wolf said.
"Why should I give him a chance?" Snake asked.
"Because… it's the exact same thing you gave us when we joined the team," Shark recalled.
Snake remembered how he used to be strict with the other Bad Guys when he was just him and Wolf. He wasn't used to rookies and newcomers, but when he gave himself time to get used to the new guys and know them even better, he became nicer to them. And then, he treated Hornet unfairly.
"Boys, look!" Tarantula interrupted them as she watched the TV on the couch. The guys rushed to their couches to watch the news on TV.
Tiffany Fluffit was on-screen to report the latest news, "This Tiffany Fluffit reporting to you the exclusive news that the newest member of the Bad Guys, Mr. Hornet, had been captured last night while he was caught red-handed stealing coins from a bank. Right now, he was taken to Los Angeles County Jail for further investigation," the screen then showed Hornet taking mugshots, and the video footage of him in a jar locked into a prison cell.
"We need to save Hornet!" Piranha suggested.
"After he got himself captured that way? No way!" Snake scoffed, refusing to follow this idea.
"Come on, Snake, we have to take him out of jail," Shark insisted
"And this is another question: Why should have to break him out of jail when he foolishly robbed a bank on his own in the middle of the night without our permission?" Sanek asked while staring at Wolf, demanding an answer from him
Wolf took a deep breath, and answered, "Because, Snake, he's one of us. He's a member of this team. He's a Bad Guy."
Then Tarantula added, "And we Bad Guys have to stick together and look out for each other. Hornet had been doing this since he became part of the team and that's what we're doing."
Snake didn't like where this was going. He might be really bad, but he never left his teammates behind. And since Hornet was part of the team, then he was counted as one of the Bad Guys that Snake have to look out for
Snake slapped his face with his tail, feeling defeated, "Ugh! Fine! But don't give me too much credit for this," Shark, Piranha, and Tarantula cheered and laughed as the Bad Guys headed to the elevator before Snake muttered, "And after we save Hornet, I'm gonna kill him."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Wolf not-so-innocently whistled his way as he walked towards the receptionist's office at the police station. He was already decked in full white, but he placed on a fedora and sunglasses to hide at least half of his facial looks so that he wouldn't get arrested on the spot. Arriving at the desk, he rang the bell and the receptionist looked up.
She looked up. "Hi there. How can I help you?"
"Oh, why thank you, mate," said Wolf in an Australian accent, not bothering to make it charming. "I'm here to send a little pascal to my new friend Mr. Hornet."
He lifted down his sunglasses to reveal his golden eyes and opened his mouth to show some of his sharp teeth.
Though, the receptionist didn't seem fazed when she realized that she was talking to a Wolf.
"And what is this gift you want to send him?" she asked dumbly.
Wolf just grinned and placed a present down on the desk. Curiously, the receptionist lifted it up to inspect…and the lid popped upon to reveal Tarantula. She jumped right on top of the stunned receptionist.
"Give me a kiss," she hissed.
And the receptionist fainted just like this.
"Wow," said Wolf. "She's out cold. You really do freak everyone else, don't you?"
"Yep," said Tarantula, jumping back onto his shoulder. "Always have…"
"Is that our cue to come in?" called Snake's voice.
"Yep! Come in, boys!"
Shark, Snake, and Piranha entered, finding that the room was already clear. There weren't that many visitors around, so they wouldn't be called immediately.
"Man, I could have been the guy in disguise," complained Shark. "It would be less violent that way!"
"But we all agreed on my idea of breaking and entering!" pointed out Piranha. "I flipped the coin fair and square."
"Yep," said Snake, pulling something out from the back of his shirt. "Secondly, I was called by another criminal last week. She needed me to test this out…"
Two flash ball guns. Complete with straps covered in smoke and cheese projectiles. And the weapons were custom-made! Painted in black and orange. Fitting for them.
"Ohohohoho!" laughed Wolf as he picked up one of the guns like a little boy getting his Christmas present. "Okay, this looks much better than using a real handgun."
"Will these types of ammo be enough to help fight our way to Hornet?" asked Tarantula.
"Not sure," said Snake, swinging the second one around. "But that's why they need to be tested. Though, should have enough power to knock a person out with the right aim."
"Let's find out then," said Wolf.
"Hopefully we don't kill anyone," said Shark casually.
"Now let's save Hornet!" squealed Piranha.
The Bad Guys made their way through the detector, already beeping at the presence of unauthorized personnel, finding that none of the cops were alerted about the receptionist fainting. Two police cops were just standing there on their lunch break already. They could only look in surprise as Wolf pointed his gun at him.
"Hi there, boys," he said.
BOOM!
It was really effective. The cop found himself shot in hot, stinky cheese. It covered him from head to toe, causing him to slip onto the floor. Worse, it was hardening, so it became harder to move around. The cop quickly tried to attack, but Snake came in to swing his gun right underneath his chin, knocking him out.
As the two casually got rid of the empty projectile and added in new ones for their guns, Tarantula grabbed one of the projectiles and tore the lid off with her teeth like it was a grenade.
"Everybody panic!" she yelled, tossing it right in front of the Bad Guys.
Those who were in the meeting rooms were given the fright of their lives when an orange smoke exploded and filled the entire hallway. Laughing at this, Piranha grabbed two projectiles and ran right through the smoke. On the other end, he found many of the workers in suits quickly taking the emergency exits. His real targets were the police cops seeing through the chaos.
One police cop tried to grab him, but he quickly kicked him back. He took his police baton, whacking him several times in the leg. He then leaped upwards and swung the baton right across the cop's face. Another cop ran in, but Piranha whacked him in the groin. Twice. And then a high jump in the air before landing on the other and opening his teeth towards the cop's delicate booty.
Shark rushed through the smoke to find the cop screaming ladylike as he was bitten. He quickly ducked when one cop arrived and tried to fire on him. Shark quickly grabbed onto the cops' hands, pushing the gun's aim away as he fired two times. Cutting the knot, Shark just bit off the gun's barrel and grabbed the cop's arm to quickly swing behind him. He then kicked the cop right in the leg to distract him before throwing him upwards.
Meanwhile, Wolf, Snake, and Tarantula hanging onto Wolf's shoulder were having the time of their lives testing their video game shooting skills. As they came through the orange smoke, they found many more cops charging in from behind Shark and Piranha. Wolf fired one projectile that just hit the cop in the forehead with hardened play-doh Snake fired one projectile at a cop, emitting orange confetti to knock the guy out.
Though, the cop Wolf fired didn't back then. He tried rushing in to take a swing with his baton at Wolf. However, he ducked and, Tarantula finished the job by throwing another projectile right at the cop's face. The cop fell unconscious upon feeling the really heavy explosion of orange paint on his forehead.
One cop was running toward them and Wolf lifted his gun up to fire him at the chest. An explosion of orange confetti, thankfully it didn't break the clothes or skin, caused the cop to fly around in a circle before crashing onto his chest. Snake quickly tripped a cop that appeared out of nowhere before shooting him in the chest to send him flying right into a window.
A cop hiding in a room tried to grab Wolf by the ends of his gun. Wolf was briefly distracted, feeling the gun pressed against his throat. However, he quickly swung around and grabbed the cop's hand, giving him a kiss on the hand. That was when he swung the cop over his shoulder and let hitting the ground finish the job.
One cop pounced on Snake, though when on the ground, he quickly wrapped himself around the cop before resting on the back. Looking up, he pointed his gun to shoot at another charging cop, sending him swimming away by the slippery cheese. Snake quickly finished the job by spinning the cop around, leaving him dazed.
There was only one more cop in their sight.
And he was already cowering.
"So long, sucker!" barked Wolf.
The cop turned away, trying to run into the smoke. But not before Snake fired one last time at the cop's bottom and sent him landing on the floor in humiliating, covered in orange paint.
With the cops dealt with, the Bad Guys found another room packed with people. Might as well start asking questions. They got in with Wolf and Snake lifting up their guns as a warning.
"Where can we find Mr. Hornet?" asked Wolf.
No reply from any of the shocked people.
Snake snorted before firing, sending another worker to the ground in a humiliating heap of cheese.
Wolf clicked his gun, only to hear the empty clicking. He groaned. They all ran out of projectiles with only one Snake had.
"Cell twenty-one!" blurted out a cop, looking unfit to fight.
Snake kept his gun at the cop while Wolf made his way to the cop. He pulled the card from his shirt pocket and patted his hand.
"Thank you, sweetheart," he said. "Don't worry about us for now."
With the access card with them, the Bad Guys started to make their way out of the room. Though, Snake stopped at one point, finding a promotional poster of a young teen of Asian descent with turquoise-dyed hair and golden eyes. Snake's response was to shoot the poster, covering it in black sludge.
"Hey!" whined Tarantula, "That guy was one of the greatest authors to write a good story based on a Sonic game!"
Snake wrinkled his nose as he kept his gun. "TT's first 'Forces United' story published was cringe."
"And that was the last of the ammo," said Wolf mournfully, passing his gun to Snake.
"Hey, chill, man," said Shark. "We won't need it anyway."
"You're still not sure with all that fighting?" asked Piranha. "But it was really fun!"
"Yeah, but we have to be quick now," said Wolf. "Otherwise we wouldn't be armed against the rest of the police."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bad Guys finally made their way right to where the prison facilities should be. Closer to the criminals where they were locked up until they were sent to court. They were surprised that there weren't any security guards guarding the place, but this meant that they were lucky. Though, there was a door between them since they were already in the security room while the prison room was on the other side.
"Okay," said Wolf. "This should be the place. Webs, do your thing."
"Got it," said Tarantula.
She hopped right onto a table that seemed to control the technology and security around in this area. Her laptop was already set up, so she was able to get right into the security system of this police station entirely. However, once she tried to get into trying to unlock the prison cells, there was a loud beep nearby her.
A large 'ACCESS DENIED' symbol was on the monitor next to her.
"What's going on there?" asked Snake.
"It's not letting me in!" said Tarantula.
"I think you have to do this more manually," said Shark.
"Try turning this thing on and off again!" suggested Piranha.
Tarantula was already trying to press the right buttons on the panel. However, all she got was the same 'ACCESS DENIED' message on the screen. Continued to play out million times as she angrily flipped every switch, button, and code she could use. It eventually dissolved into her banging her small fists out of sheer frustration.
"Oh come on!" she yelled. "How come this place is already secured?!"
"Oh, just let me do this, chica!" Piranha gently shoved Tarantula aside, and tried to smash the panel with his bare fins. He then grabbed a bat, and smashed the panel with it.
It didn't work with more "ACCESS DENIED" messages appearing on the screen. Piranha swung more and hardly on the panel as sparks went flying and a loud siren rang, a symbol of approval. The door leading to the prison room opened.
"Huh," said Wolf, smiling. "Flawless!"
"Not really," pointed out Shark.
"Let's just quickly grab that bug before anything worse happens," snarled Snake.
As if on cue, the security monitor slowly broke down and it led to unleashing of the sprinklers. It went at the same time as haunting hard rock music played from the speakers when the Bad Guys were about to enter.
They exchanged looks of annoyance, bothered by the rain pouring in and the music playing. Piranha and Shark weren't complaining too much while Snake held onto his hat in hopes that it would protect him from catching a cold. Tarantula held onto Shark, hoping to not get swept away by the water. Wolf looked really upset, but he swallowed it up and adjusted his suit.
They entered the prison room and were greeted by a loud cry of screaming and yelling from the jail cells. Some of the inmates were surprised by the Bad Guys' presence, but most of them had a history with them in the past before.
"Wait, what the-?!"
"You!"
"He stole my car!"
"She crashed my computer!"
Wolf raised his hands up in defense, trying to calm down the rowdy inmates. "Don't mind us. Just robbing this place.
"Hey! Mr. Snake! I'm the reason I'm here!"
"You killed my sandwich!"
"Come over here right now, buddy!"
Ignoring the yelling from the inmates, the Bad Guys found Hornet resting in a jar in his own jail cell. Hornet lifted his head up and he gasped, surprised to see them here with him.
"W-What?!" he said. "How-?"
"We don't have much time," said Tarantula, taking one of Snake's custom keys he brought along. "We're getting you out of here."
"But…why?"
"We don't leave one of our own behind," said Wolf firmly, looking back in case any guards came in.
"Their choice, not mine," grumbled Snake.
And then, the locking system broke loose when the loud guitar riffs came in from the speakers.
A loud beep through the room and the jail cell doors immediately opened. Hornet's jail door opened as well. But unfortunately, so did the others. Once it came to the Bad Guys that the damage they did wreck a lot of things, they found themselves swarmed by the slowly advancing portion of inmates. All nursing grudges against them.
Wolf gulped, putting his hands up in the air 'innocently'. Snake was nearly frozen in spot, but he slowly turned to the inmates. Shark was nearly still and Piranha was about to unleash a frenzy. Though, Tarantula got to Hornet and grabbed his hand.
"Take him outside please, Webs," asked Wolf politely.
One of the inmates was already speaking. "Snake, you-"
Quickly, Snake curled himself around one of the cells' bars and slammed his tail right into the inmate's throat. Two times before tackling him to the ground. One inmate tried to rush in, but Snake quickly turned around and swung his body, enough to slam right into the inmate's face. And hard enough that it sent the inmate flying in the air.
The rest of the boys quickly got into business with fighting against the other incoming inmates.
Wolf tried to push aside one inmate, but he grabbed him by his jacket end. Taking this as an advantage, Wolf playfully wrapped the inmate with his jacket before spinning around and landing a jab right in the face to send the inmate falling back. One inmate tried to jump right on top of him, but he quickly grabbed them and swirled them around like they were his dancing partner before tossing him right towards another jail cell.
"Oooookay, we should go!" said Tarantula, grabbing Hornet by the hand.
Hornet wasn't moving since he was in awe of how the Bad Guys could fight. Tarantula couldn't blame him. This was probably one of the few times she saw her friends get into combat like this, so it was amazing seeing how they were capable of defending themselves. She was still learning how to fight during that time, but she could take a few lessons from what she saw.
The pouring rain around them and the slightly flooded floor could teach them a lesson as well on how to fight in any kind of environment.
Piranha was onto one inmate. One grabbed him, but he pulled back his arm so hard that he pulled him down to the floor. Piranha then swung the unconscious body around to trip over the charging inmates before tossing the body right at another charging inmate.
Nearby, Shark quickly slammed a jail door right into another inmate. Seeing this, Piranha hopped right onto the door to swing around before falling into an incoming inmate's hands. As if doing a dance, he threw him down to the ground, becoming victorious. Shark followed up by quickly grabbing another incoming inmate and throwing them to the side before they could harm Piranha.
The boys looked up to see Tarantula and Hornet getting through the emergency door.
There was only one more inmate.
Wolf and Snake exchanged nods and the former grabbed onto the latter, spinning him like a lasso. When close, Wolf whipped Snake right at the inmate, wrapping him around. He pulled the inmate close to him before playfully flicking his nose. At this, Snake unwrapped himself and the inmate went spinning before crashing into the wall.
The male members of the Bad Guys got back up and ran towards the emergency door, still hearing the rain pouring and hard rock music playing in the background. It was near the end of the song, so they could hear the singer screaming. But there was also another screaming and that wasn't coming from the speakers.
Looks like they have to get out of there before the cops could catch up.
"Nice one, Snake."
"It's a new trick I'm working on."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just then, when the four arrived outside, they noticed that Tarantula and Hornet didn't move for a bit when they were frozen in terror as they looked forward. The rest of the Bad Guys looked up to see Chief Luggins holding her gun that was pointing at them.
"You!" Chief Luggins snarled.
"You!" Wolf growled.
"Step away from the insect!" Chief Luggins demanded while Tarantula was still holding Hornet tightly.
While the other male Bad Guys had their hands, and tail in Snake's case, up, Wolf got a chance to glance down at a nearby brick next to his shoe. This gave the canine an idea. He slowly lowered down, and held the brick in one paw.
Chief Luggins noticed this, and yelled while still pointing her gun at the gang, "Drop it!"
"The brick?" Wolf glanced at the brick he was holding before smirking, "Sure." He threw the brick up in the air as Wolf made a cartwheel, having his one foot kick the brick he threw, and it hit the chief's face, knocking her unconscious.
The other Bad Guys gaped at Wolf's moves at the chief as Tarantula quickly crawled away while carrying Hornet as it was her chance to escape.
"Wow, hermano, I never knew you could do that!" Piranha exclaimed.
"There are things that you don't know about me yet, Piranha," Wolf fixed up his suit as the rest proceeded to run off.
The Bad Guys finally arrived at the car when Tarantula was already inside. The male Bad Guys quickly jumped into the car, and closed their doors.
"Great job, you guys," Wolf told the whole team, but noticed Hornet wasn't in the car, "Where's Hornet?" He asked while looking at Tarantula.
"Relax. He's right here," Tarantula said as she showed Hornet, who got wrapped in her silky thread. He was squirming and muffled screaming inside for help.
"WEBS!" Wolf, Snake, Shark, and Piranha exclaimed in shock to see Hornet trapped in Tarantula's threads.
"Oh, come on. He's fine! You gotta admit this is funny!" Tarantula laughed, "I was just joking around! I was kidding!" But the four didn't find it amusing as they gave her the stare, demanding to free Hornet out of her trap, "Fine!" Tarantula rolled her eyes, and cracked her trap open like cracking an egg, and dropped Hornet out, who was traumatized, and shaking in fear.
Hornet then slowly looked at Tarantula with his fearful eyes, and stammered, "D-don't... Ever... do-do that... again!"
"Just saving your life!" Tarantula exclaimed.
With no time to lose, Wolf switched the car on, and drove off before more cops could catch up with them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later, after losing the cops off their tails, the Bad Guys made it back to their hideout as they got out of the elevator, heading to the couch.
"Thanks for breaking me out, guys. I don't know how long I would last there," Hornet said as he and his friends exited the elevator.
"No problem, little buddy," Shark gently ruffled Hornet's head.
"Now, Hornet, can you please tell us why you ended up in jail last night?" Snake demanded Hornet to answer with an icy glare.
"Alright," Hornet sighed as he confessed, "I kinda snuck out last night to rob a bank… just small coins since I'm too small."
"Why would you rob a bank without us?" Tarantula asked.
"And why didn't you tell us?" Piranha added.
"Because…, I want to make it up to you guys after I screwed up our last heist. I just want to prove that I'm worthy enough to be a Bad Guy, like you guys," Hornet said sadly.
"Wait, what idiot said you aren't worthy of being a Bad Guy?" Wolf questioned in surprise.
"You! Like 15 hours ago!" The insect snapped
Wolf blabbered a little as he clarified, "Hornet, I didn't mean anything like that. You can't force yourself to prove your worth to be part of this team by robbing a bank on your own."
"You're right. We should have another heist then," Hornet suggested excitingly.
"Hornet, chico, you proved enough," Piranha scowled, making Hornet stop being excited, "Look, you screwed up, yes, but it's just one thing. Maybe next time you won't screw things again."
"You think so?" Hornet asked doubtfully.
"Look, just stick with the plan, and do your job. Maybe the more you keep doing your job right, the sooner you prove yourself worthy to be a Bad Guy," Tarantula advised.
Though Hornet wasn't sure if that was good advice. Being the lookout of the team was kinda boring, and all he did was watch over, and he might have no control but to jump into action again. He was scared of screwing things up again.
"Look, maybe we shouldn't do a heist today. The cops were after us after we broke Hornet out of prison," Wolf said, "We'll plan another heist next week. We should save our energy by then."
When the other Bad Guys nodded in agreement as they moved out to their business, Hornet was left alone with Snake, who turned and glared at him
"Look, I don't want you to be here, but they do, and I don't have a choice for that. You want to prove you're a Bad Guy, then prove more," Snake said before slithering away.
Hornet knew Snake was right. He has to prove more, but in order to do that, he should just stick to his role, and not foolishly do things without a plan. Guess he should just stick to being a hideout.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A week later, it was the exact 7 days after the Bad Guys broke Hornet out of prison. Until now, he felt guilty for giving his new friends a hard time, making them fail in their heist, going out to steal alone, getting captured, and having them risk their time to rescue him. Hornet carried that shame and guilt for a week.
He had himself a bowl of veggie salad, and flew all the way to the couch while carrying a bowl. He sat on the couch, and pressed the on button on the remote that was beside him. He was watching a telenovela, showing a woman crying.
"No one would ever love me! People think I'm invisible!"
"So true, Maria! So true!" Hornet cried while eating a piece of lettuce with a fork.
Piranha then came in, and saw Hornet on the couch He even glanced at the TV, and groaned, "Ugh! I hate it when you watch Telenovelas," he sat on the couch, and noticed something on Hornet, "What are you doing?"
"I'm stress-eating," the hornet answered with a lettuce in his mouth.
"Drowning your rookie sorrows in veggie salad? Don't people usually do that with junk food?
"I know. I'm sad, but unhealthy choices won't give me what I want. And I didn't even use the dressing."
Piranha scoffed as he had enough seen Hornet so depressed like this, "That's it. Just give me that!" he snatched the bowl from Hornet's side, and put it aside. Piranha looked down at Hornet, and asked worryingly, "Are you okay?"
Hornet sighed in frustration, and confessed, "I just… I don't think I'll get up on my feet and join you guys on a heist again."
Piranha nodded as he understood how Hornet was feeling. The fish himself had been there before, and he advised his friend, "I know you a mistake… or just a few, but trust me, Hornet. Everything's going to be fine."
Hornet looked up at Piranha with teary eyes as the way the fish spoke to him, the insect almost had doubts about being fine, but Hornet nodded at Piranha, trusting him that everything would turn out just fine in the future.
Wolf then stood in front, standing in front of Piranha and Hornet, and called the rest of the Bad Guys, "Alright, guys, gather around," Snake, Shark, and Tarantula gathered together in the middle of the main room as all Bad Guys were ready to listen to their leader. When Wolf saw everyone was here, he cleared his throat, and declared, "It's been a week since we never got out of our hideout, so tonight will be the time we can do another heist," when this was brought up, Snake glared sharply at Hornet who couldn't even look at the reptile's eyes as he felt ashamed about what happened last time. Wolf then looked down at Hornet worryingly, and asked, "Hornet, are you sure you're up for it?"
Hornet snapped out of his thoughts, and looked up at Wolf, "Huh? I mean, yeah. Sure. I can handle it. Yeah"
Wolf wasn't sure if Hornet was okay, but this team needed a lookout for this heist, so he hoped the insect was in a mood for a heist tonight.
"Alright! Here's the plan…"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it's time for the Bad Guys to do another heist. This time, they were targeting a risky valuable item. This heist needed to be a success, and no mistakes this time.
The museum was as packed as the Bad Guys expected it to be. Everybody was already in position as they all spread out in different spots. Shark got enough disguises, but they still need to be able to collect certain disguises from the staff workers to make sure that this heist goes off without a hitch.
Hornet was currently flying through the ceiling, checking on the people below. He was surprised by how many tourists and students there were today. No wonder why Wolf reminded everyone that today was crowded, so they had to take extra careful measures for this. He arrived at the door where the main security office should be at.
A timer buzzed off and Hornet whispered something through his helmet. The door opened where a young man happily waddled out. A young lady, waiting nearby, was about to go in to start her shift in the security office when a disguised Shark placed a hand over her shoulder.
"Excuse me," said Shark, adopting a different accent. "Wait a sec, are you…in for this shift?"
"Oh, well, yeah," said the female security. "Shame that I have to do it now and I will be having late lunch. Work life, you know. Though, this should be where I should be working."
"Great news, I actually got word from the boss and he wanted me to fill in for your role today."
The female security was surprised. "Wait, what? Really? Can't we work together?"
"Alas, this is a Sunday, so we would need all guards around at every corner of this museum. You know that means there should be only one guard checking over the footage in the security office."
"Oh, I remember now. Though, would it be alright if I'm allowed to go now? Like…you're replacing me for today, but do I need to-?"
"No worries!" said Shark, pulling the girl in close. "Don't need to check in with your boss! He's more than happy to just give you your paycheck later. He wants to give you a good Sunday rest." He placed a card right into the girl's hands. "And I heard that the outside restaurant is having a HUGE discount for those who use this card! Only for a limited time."
The female security's eyes sparkled upon seeing what was written. "Oh my gosh! It's until 1 PM today! I haven't gotten to try those…" She turned to Shark with a grateful smile. "Thank you, sir! I appreciate it."
"Just enjoy it," said Shark cheerfully as the female security turned her back to check on her bag first. "Enjoy it. Ha ha ha ha ha…ha ha ha ha ha! Mwah ha ha ha ha ha!"
Hornet placed a hand over his forehead as Shark began to laugh. Like an evil laugh. It was a good thing that nobody paid attention to him and by the time the female security turned around, Shark quickly cut his laugh short.
"J-Just enjoy it," said Shark, quickly getting into the office and closing the door behind him.
The young girl stood there, dumbfounded. Eventually, she shrugged it off and skipped away.
"Okay," said Shark. "I'm in."
"Thank goodness!" said Tarantula, popping out from an opened window. "I was freezing inside there! Well, time to get popping here."
"Good luck!" said Shark, exiting the door and locking it behind him.
Tarantula was already at work as she plugged her computer right into the rest of the monitors. Meanwhile, Hornet already flew off to the inside cafe. There, he found a large group of security guards and their museum manager laughing at their own table, looking quite drunk despite not ordering any meals yet.
"Okay, Shark is coming over," said Hornet. "Piranha, are you close to the male bathroom yet?"
"I'm right there and I'm pulling rat tail crumbs out of my hair," said Piranha's voice through the comms.
Meanwhile, the cafe's kitchen wasn't exactly big, but big enough to make it look like a fast-food restaurant. While they mainly cooked sandwiches, cakes, and pies, today was a special occasion since the manager ordered the finest souffles with a caramel touch to them. A huge tray of those cups was already ready with just a few things left to do before serving them.
As the few chefs spread out to find the powdering mixture, a disguised Wolf came in. Making sure that nobody was looking around, he took out a sprinkle of food-poisoning sugar on top of the souffle. He then reached out his arm underneath the tray, allowing Snake to slither out and hide under the tray.
"Oi!" yelled the head chef. "They are waiting! Bring them out now!"
"Gotcha," said Wolf with a sly smirk.
When none of the chefs came back, Wolf pushed the tray out right to the dining area. He found the group of workers waiting, all cheering when they saw their treats. In a faux polite manner, Wolf gracefully gave each of them a souffle cup. He made sure that he could see the poisonous sugar on top of them.
Snake laughed silently as he leaned in close to slap a mini spray device filled with ammonia on one of the table's legs.
"Gracias, my dear friend," said the manager with a smile.
Wolf nodded. "Gracias, hermano."
"That guy actually looks kind of hot…" muttered one of the security guards.
Wolf paid no attention as he turned around to return the tray to the kitchen. He reached his arm underneath, allowing Snake to slither back inside his jacket without anybody noticing. They didn't need to look behind when a low hiss caught their ears. The ammonia spray device was already set off.
"Wait, what is that awful smell?" said one of the security guards.
"Nah, that's probably some fungus," said another.
"Fungus don't grow underneath tables."
"I think we should probably switch place…"
"No, no, no," said the manager, going through his first mouthful. "Stay! It won't be too long anyway."
From above, Hornet took one sniff and gagged.
"Pee-yew!" he said. "Okay, now I'm seeing why you had to include that."
"That's because the ammonia spray will help increase nausea," informed Tarantula in a chipper tone. "Combined with the food poisoning, this would convince them to head over to the nearest bathroom."
"I wish I had a taste of that ammonia," said Piranha. "It sounds exotic."
"Please don't," said Snake.
"What? I ate a whole box of gunpowder and I never suffered a single bowel!"
Hornet blinked. "Wait, really?"
"Alright, boys," said Tarantula as she checked through the other rooms Hornet wasn't checking at the moment. "This is it. I hacked right through their security system and alarms. I'm surprised that they have a lot of screens connected to each other. There are still multiple security guards out there, so you have to do everything you can to steer them away while finding that diamond."
"Then we are good to go," said Wolf as he exited the kitchen. "And in about 3, 2, 1." He snapped his fingers. "Lights out!"
"...hey, did anyone just have a bad hangover this morning?" asked one of the security guards.
The workers were starting to feel queasy. After eating their desserts, they felt their stomachs twisting. Not only that, it was causing all of their organs to pump up more quickly than usual. Their minds were screaming at them to vomit out what they just ate, but they didn't know why. Some of them held on a bit longer, but it was clear that they all felt sick.
"Don't…worry, guys!" said the manager with a sheepish smile. "I'm sure that it's…nothing!"
But the obnoxious smell wasn't helping either. It added to how sick they were feeling. As if being thrown in the garbage and waking up to smelling that trash juice leaking around. And whatever was eaten inside became distorted into something more horrific.
Immediately, all of them got up and ran like madmen to the nearest toilet. Shark was already there, leaning against the wall as he casually waved at them. Neither of them paid attention since they were all about to puke.
Once inside, Wolf, Snake, Shark, and Hornet guarded the bathroom door.
Inside, every worker present was vomiting. From into the toilet, the sinks, and even through whatever drain they could find. This was a private bathroom for employees only, so nobody else was there. Except for Piranha who was hiding high up in the ceiling corner.
"Okay…" said Piranha, cringing as he heard the collective noises of vomit and splattering. "I'm gonna need to endure this more than I thought…"
"Piranha, are we doing this or what?" hissed Tarantula.
"Okay, Okay, fine. I get messy all the time anyway."
Placing two fingers in his mouth, Piranha let out a loud whistle. This attracted the attention of a few security guards, weakly on the floor and groaning. Unable to quickly notice the threat.
"Surprise!" yelled Piranha happily.
Outside, the other guys heard the unmistakable sound of Piranha quickly going through all of the workers inside the bathroom. Wolf had his ear near the door, smiling as if fondly remembering past mischiefs. Snake and Shark were nonchalant, waiting for Piranha to finish. Meanwhile, Hornet was just staring at the door, wondering how much the brawler could take.
Not even a minute passed by and Piranha opened the door. Surrounded by unconscious workers and covered in some slop.
"Be careful right there," he said cheerfully. "Some of their uniforms have scuffles on them."
"Great," said Wolf, wrinkling his nose. "Okay, no time to be fussy."
It didn't take long for them to quickly get changed inside the bathroom. With Wolf, Snake, and Piranha placing on the security guard uniforms and Shark stealing the manager's clothes, they all got out, fully prepared. Wolf then placed a 'DO NOT ENTER' sign on the door, locking it and placing a 'SLIPPING HAZARD' sign to steer away anyone from entering that bathroom.
Shark quickly went the other way as he would be acting as the manager. He would have full access to the paperwork and orders of the entire museum while nobody would question him if he was in the office. He was still the main distraction, so he would have to quickly come back to the others soon after clearing up anything from the main office.
Wolf, Snake, and Piranha were off, making their way to the jewelry section.
"Alright, guys," said Hornet as he followed them from the ceiling. "Shark's in position. Men, I spot a few security guards nearby, so you might want to redirect them. There are a couple of tour groups, so steer them away."
"I found a few others nearby as well," said Tarantula. "They're in other rooms you can't see. Make sure that nobody takes a step closer to the jewelry section and then we get into action."
"Got it," said Wolf. "Time to let the charm play out."
The trio got into work with smooth-talking with the security guards. Either through using their radios to contact them or coming up to them, giving them information about their new positions. While some of them were confused and even tried calling their boss about it, Shark called back to them to confirm. This was enough to convince the security guards to move away from the jewelry section, convinced that things would be alright.
As for the tour groups, they advised them to visit other rooms or sections nearby. While the tour guides had a set list of places to go to, Wolf, Snake, and Piranha did their best to sway them to go off-course a little. Hornet and Tarantula watched closely to see that these people weren't in their way. However, there was one tour guide who was on strict orders.
"Sorry, man," said a female tour guide in front of a bunch of pre-teen students. "I like to change, but they're on a tight schedule and there are specific things they have to learn."
Wolf clicked his tongue. "Well, if that's the case, maybe check in with their teacher? I think the manager is having a discussion with her about this right now."
This was actually true since Shark called the teacher over for a change of plans. But she was far from her students, so she wouldn't get there in time to tell them the news.
"I haven't heard anything yet from her, so it appears that there is no change," said the tour guide.
Wolf took a look behind him to see the bumbling pre-teens. They all appeared excited and maybe a bit too interested in what they see around them. They didn't look too keen to know about the artifacts' histories, judging by how one rolled her eyes at a screen displaying paragraphs, but it seemed that a shiny object could steal their attention.
An idea bulb formed over Wolf's head as he spotted a sign nearby.
"How about a suggestion?" he asked, pointing to that sign. "Let them have fun and learn what they want to learn. That is how they know better. This room looks pretty cool!"
"Oooh!" said one of the students. "'Human Reproduction'! Cool!"
"Nudity!" said another. "Cool!"
"Human organs!" said a third student. "Cool!"
"Childbirth!" said a fourth student, rubbing his tummy. "Cool!"
The tour guide looked hesitant to enter THAT room, though when she looked back at Wolf, the latter gave him a twinkle in his eyes. It was a reassurance that it would be fine to let their curiosity grow further beyond what should be known at this age. Besides, it wasn't like they were going to talk about it to their teacher after this.
"Okay then," muttered the tour guide, turning to the students. "Now, I expect a level of maturity here."
The students barely listened as they already ran right inside the room. Wolf chuckled, leaving the tour guide to haplessly chase after them. The whole time, Snake used the distraction to climb up using a tall vase and enter the vents when nobody was looking.
Inside the room, from Snake's perspective up in the vents, the red shiny jewel was resting right on a steady little podium that held it tightly. It was set high, and below the little podium was a laser system that was designed to protect it, which could easily be picked into with a combination lock. And surrounding the podium was a bunch of different little shelves that held other priceless jewelry, but none as special as the ruby itself.
Snake grinned, "Perfect."
Meanwhile, the students checking out the human reproduction room didn't get through all of it in one sitting. By the time Shark came over to check on how things were going, he was greeted with a stampede of screaming children running out of the room.
"MY EYES!" shrieked one student, his eyes bloodshot. "MY EYES!"
"Too much information!" said another, tripping over.
"I saw a woman giving birth to a baby!" whined a third one.
As all the kids collapsed on the floor, the tour guide nonchalantly lifted up her clipboard to check the schedule.
"Okay, what's next?" he said. "Oh! I nearly forgot. Time to go to the jewelry room."
Shark gasped. "Oh, wait, wait! You can't go there now! I…erm…already chatted with their teacher, so maybe you should go to another room? Or wrap it up?"
"Please just take us to the jewelry room," begged one of the students.
"I want to see something more pretty and shiny," said another student.
"Sorry, sir," said the tour guide. "It looks like THEY want to go there. Can't do anything else about it."
Shark looked around, trying to find a way to stall them for much longer. Trying to convince them wasn't going to work anymore and blocking their way would just make them more suspicious. Seeing an alarm bell nearby, he quickly tried to do the most logical thing he could think of.
He started whamming fist on the alarm and it went off like crazy.
"Oh, do you know what that means?!" he shouted. "That means we have our 100th visitor to the Human Reproduction room! Congrats!"
The tour guide and the students stared at him in silence.
"But wouldn't it be already over 1000 people who visited the room?" questioned the tour guide.
Shark grinned nervously, still tapping the alarm. Unfortunately, due to Tarantula switching around the security system, the alarm bell wouldn't alert the other alarms around, so that was out of the park of alerting Wolf and Snake.
"Whoo! Whoo! Sound the alarm! It's a celebration! Who's with me?!"
The second Shark looked back, the tour guide and the students were nowhere to be found.
"Well, that's not good," said Shark, his eyes widening.
"What's going on? You sound panicked," Hornet asked Shark through the intercom quietly.
Shark stepped to the side and made sure no one was looking around before reporting back, "We got a problem; everyone's already heading over to the jewelry room!"
"What?! But Wolf isn't there yet," Hornet reported back.
"I'm there now, but what's the problem?" Wolf's voice soon chimed in on the comm.
Wolf had currently made his way into the room, with Piranha next to him, and the pair were now trying to scale the walls to make it to the podium, with Snake currently trying to pick the laser lock so Wolf could easily grab it, but was having trouble because it was a dual-turn combination.
Hornet replied while keeping track of the tour group that was making their way there, "The tour group Shark was distracting had left and are on their way to the jewelry room now!"
"Uh oh, that's not good," Tarantula's voice reported on the comms.
"This is bad, hermanos! We haven't even gotten the ruby yet," Piranha commented.
"Shark, can you try to round that group up and get them away from the jewelry room for at least 3 minutes," Wolf asked Shark on his communicator.
"I would, but I don't know which way they went; this place is like a maze," Shark commented while frantically looking around in each room.
"Hurry, you big tuna," Snake shouted into his comm while he fumbled with the turn dial, trying to pick it up as fast as he could.
Hornet secretly followed the tour group and saw how close they were to arrive to the room. Gasping, he suddenly panicked, worried that his friends were gonna get caught.
"Guys, guys! The group is almost there," Hornet reported in a frantic whisper.
"We're working as fast as we can!" Wolf said through the comm.
When he watched the tour heading to the jewelry room. Hornet knew Wolf, Snake, and Piranha didn't have time left, and they'll be captured. He bit his lip, trying to think of something that he could do, before he saw that by the hallway that the tour group was passing, near where the jewelry room was, there was a TV screen, and they were close to approaching it.
Seeing the screen, Hornet got a great idea, asking in his comm, "Webs, are you still with me?
"Yeah, why?," Tarantula asked curiously.
"I got an idea," Hornet answered back.
The tour guide was now in front of the doors of the jewelry room as she announced, "And over here, we got to take a look of the–"
Before the tour guide reached for the handles, Hornet quickly got the TV screen connected to his helmet, and Tarantula, who was still in the security room, pressed a button on her laptop, which suddenly showed a video of a kitten playing its owner's fingers, and made a cute "meow!".
The tour group saw the video playing, and they were immediately entranced by it.
"Awwww! A kitty," a female student declared.
"It's so cuuuute!," a male student shouted.
"Cuteness overload!" another male student yelled, with many of the other students, including the tour guide herself, cooing at the sight of the kitten.
Hornet smiled, nodding his head to the beat, saying to himself, "Cats, feisty critters, but great distractions."
Tarantula saw what Hornet did and grinned, saying to Wolf on the comm, "Wolfie, it's safe to grab and go! Hornet's got the group all distracted!"
"Way to go, Hornet," Wolf praised the hornet before he grabbed the ruby, and the team quickly escaped by tiptoeing out of the jewelry room. Luckily, the tour group was so distracted by the video, they didn't even see the Bad Guy sneaking out of the room.
Hornet saw his friends as he unplugged the helmet, and casually flew to them after making the video stop, and like lightning, the Bad Guys all regrouped and snuck their way back outside, hopped into the car, and made their getaway.
When the video disappeared from the screen, the students and the tour guide shook their heads, and snapped out to reality, not knowing what they were supposed to do.
The tour guide rubbed her eyes, and cleared her throat, "Okay, well, enough with the kitten video, let's head to the jewelry room, shall we?" The students turned to her, and she opened the doors, "And over here is where the–" When she looked in front, she saw the ruby is gone, and she and the students gasped loudly and horrified.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the road, the Bad Guys laughed and cheered loudly for their successful heist.
"That was great!" Piranha yelled.
"That's even better than a regular bank heist!" Shark exclaimed.
Snake, feeling regret for thinking about it, showed Hornet his appreciation by saying, "Hey, Hornet, thanks for… saving our butts out there."
"Yeah, awesome idea distracting that crowd," Tarantula commented with a blushing Hornet
"With cat videos?! How could you ever come up with that idea like that?" Wolf asked impressively.
"Well, I did a little research, and I discovered that a lot of people like cat videos," Hornet answered.
"Not too many, but you're right about that," Piranha complimented.
"Oh, so you're like a smart guy now," Tarantula teased, "Never thought you could be a nerd."
"Eh, sometimes, I need to change for the team," Hornet declared.
"And prove your worth," Snake stated. "You finally did it."
Hornet smiled as he realized he finally earned his friends' trust, and he wasn't worried about being alone anymore. He still has the chance to stay with his new frie… family a little longer, "Yeah. I guess I did."

FINALLY! I finished part 2 of Hornet's flashback with the Bad Guys. Well, this is how it went! The setting of this story was 3 years prior to the movie.
The scene where the Bad Guys had a meeting about Hornet, and the latter eavesdropped from the vent was a reference from Ducktales (2017), Nothing Can Stop Della Duck.
The scene where the Bad Guys rescued Hornet was a reference from The Birds of Prey (2020) when Harley Quinn fought the cops and prisoners to bust out Cassandra
Special thanks to MasterClass60 and TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3 for making me the museum heist scene.
It was really fun making this chapter. Hope I'll get the other chapters ready soon. See you next time. Bye~

WARNINGS ☆ gn!reader but reki's baby sisters dress you up in a princess outfit.
PAIRING ☆ reki kyan x gn!reader
A/N ☆ I made this into a bullet fic/headcanon sort of thing. I hope that's okay, it's just easier for me to convey ideas! ;(
Tumblr media
I don't think it would be planned! It would just sort of happen.
The relationship was still new-ish, with it only being official for a month and a few days, but the two of you were inseparable.
One night after a skate date, you two decided to spend a little more time together back at his house. It was supposed to be an hour and thirty minutes max.
But there you two were cuddling and all pouty because you had to leave.
"It's late. I should go." Your voice is muffled from your face being buried into Reki's neck. His arm was loosely wrapped around your waist, rubbing on your back while. Your hand was on the other side of his neck, snuggling into him closer.
It was silent for a bit, the both of you unmoving because you didn't want to separate—puppy love.
A few more minutes passed, and you sighed. Now you had to get up. You sat on your knees, and you looked at Reki with a pout.
"C'mon, walk me out." You hit his chest gently. He groans and sits up, looking at you in your eyes.
"Do you really have to leave?" Reki asks.
You thought about it. You didn't necessarily have to leave, but you were supposed to, right?
"I mean, no but-" You stated but he cut you off.
"You can stay the night," He pauses, realizing what he just said. He was ready, but that's a significant milestone in any relationship, and maybe you weren't there yet. "Only if you want!" He gave you a nervous chuckle.
"Baby, are you sure?” Your hands found the sides of his face. “Will your mom mind?” Your thumbs rubbed his cheeks.
"I’m sure! She won't mind. I'll tell her it'll be a family-friendly sleepover."
“A family-friendly sleepover, babe?” You giggle and peck his lips.
"Yeah, it sounds PG, Ya know?”
Reki's mom and his sisters were so excited to have you over. His mother showed you some of his baby photos, and his sisters pulled you into one of their rooms. The oldest wanting boy advice, and the younger sisters just wanted to play dress up.
While you were occupied with his family, he took the time to get you everything you needed for the night. A toothbrush, a face towel, and pajamas (which consisted of one of his oversized shirts and baggy pajama pants)
Honestly, he was nervous the whole time he was preparing everything :(
He just wants everything to go well even though it was a last-minute thing, and there wasn't much he could do to plan.
Reki makes his bed and straightens up his room a bit even though it was already clean. Are there enough pillows??? Would you need more blankets??? Shit, he had to grab some extra drinks just in case you get thirsty!! He's a little ✨ frantic ✨
He folds your PJs in a neat square on his bed and even goes the extra mile to light a couple of sweetly scented candles and get more pillows
When he's satisfied, he'll go to his sister's room and knock on the door. He pokes his head in to see you wearing a tiara and an exceptionally poorly fitted princess dress. It was obviously made for a child the way it wouldn't close around your frame. Reki thought you looked adorable, but it was Reki-(Name) time now.
"Can I have my (Name) back?" He asks with a pout. His sisters shout a playful "no!"
"No? Let's fight then!" Reki comes into the room entirely fists raised.
Cue a fun sibling fight for your attention and love—spoiler alert. Reki wins, but only because they went easy on him. It was getting late anyway.
He takes you back to his room after you politely return your costume to his little twin sisters, and pinky promise you'll play again soon.
You smile when you see all the little things he's done and put out for you. You notice it all, from the candles to the couple bottles of water and snack sitting on his desk.
You guys brush your teeth and wash your face together. It's very much that scene from Bring It On. Lots of flirting through the mirror and hip bumps trying to fight for more mirror space.
He only gets "slightly" shy when he realizes you have to change.
"Uh, I'll let you change in here.." He says before he takes pajamas of his own out of his drawer. "I'll be right back!" He says and exits his room.
A few minutes will pass, and he's all dressed for bed. He knocks gently on his door, waiting on your response.
"Come in!"
He slides his door open to find you sitting crisscross applesauce on his bed. You look so sweet in PJs and a small smile on your face while you make grabby hands at him.
"Cuddle time, baby!" You say cutely.
Excited puppy Reki activated.
Reki takes so many candid pictures and videos of you. He makes one of the photographs his phone's lock screen. It's not a candid, but you're posing with two peace signs held up and a cute smile.
You guys are definitely making tiktoks too. (he's a surprisingly good dancer??????)
Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus? He has it all on his laptop.
You guys get in a comfy cuddle position and watch movies and cartoons for a while. The Scooby-Doo live-action movie? Watched. A few episodes of Regular Show and Adventure Time? Watched.
He notices when you're quieter than usual—your cute little giggles at funny scenes dying down to soft hums.
"Sleepy?" He asks with a soft smile, and you nod your head in response. Your eyes were getting heavier and heavier by the second.
Reki closes his laptop and starts to get up.
"Hnng- Where you are goin'?" You whine and ball his shirt in your fists.
"I gotta blow out the candles and put this up. I'll be back in no time, lovebug." He kisses your forehead, and you let him go.
You watch him get up and put his laptop on his desk, plugging it up to its charger. Before he blows out the candles, he turns to look at you.
"You don't need a nightlight, right? Because I have one if you need it, babe! I'm not judging!" Reki says
"Reki, I don't need a nightlight. Thank you, though, baby." You giggle softly, then pat the warm spot his body left next to you. "Hurry."
He blows out the candles quickly before sliding into bed with you. His body was resting on top of yours while your fingers massaged his hair.
"Goodnight, (Name). I..." He pauses. "I'm happy you stayed." Nice save.
"Night, baby. I'm happy too.."
Reki wants to save the L word for another time.

Part VI
________
You wanted to slap yourself. What the hell was wrong with you today? Why did you tell Peter that?!
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean...” Completely baffled with you behavior, you were deeply ashamed, unable to look the guy in the eyes and wanting nothing but fall into the earth.
“Ah, I got it. It’s Steve, isn’t it?” All of a sudden, Peter let out an irritated sigh, rolling his eyes skywards and rubbing his neck. “Of course, who else would say such nonsense. Blackmail, really? Funny he didn’t call me a stalker or anything.”
“Listen, I didn’t mean it, I’m really-”
“It’s ok.” He closed the locker, slamming its door loudly and making you jump. “It’s not your fault. If I heard that from somebody, I’d be scared too.”
He spent a couple of seconds staring into the wall until he rubbed his neck again tiredly and huffed. It took him less than a minute to regain his composure, and you heard him murmuring, “What a freak.”
He didn't return to the corridor, heading to the sports hall for his PE class, instead moving to the bench in the locker room and motioning you to sit. Feeling terribly awkward, you hoped he wasn't going to do anything out of anger, even though he had every right to be upset at your stupid behavior.
"About what he said," Peter took a deep breath, "it's nothing like that. I don't dig up some nasty stuff in the web to blackmail people. I've never done it. The reason why Mr. I-am-better-than-you said that is because I've made him take me into his little bodyguard group when I heard him talking to Loki. You're nice, and I wanted to help. Of course, Steve started acting like I was some creep, so he refused, and I had to remind him that, technically, he had to report your issue to the administration, not play a hero. I said that if I go and tell the whole story to the dean, Steve's gonna be in trouble because he knew who thieves were and didn't report them."
It was a loud off your mind. Goodness. Rogers called this a blackmail? Really? Just because Peter pushed Steve into taking him into their group?
You were less and less sure Rogers was sane. You definitely had to be careful around him.
"I can't believe he called it a blackmail." You admitted quietly, and the guy sent you a tired smile. "Peter, I'm so, so sorry. It was so stupid of me."
"Nah, don't worry. I'd freak out too if I didn't know the whole story."
You knew your apologies weren't enough, but you hoped Peter didn't take it to heart - if you can take such an accusation easily, that is. Shit, shit, shit, why did you believe everything these guys were saying? You didn't even know them in the first place! Why on Earth did you go asking them their opinions on others if all of them were biased, and every guy could twist the truth the way he liked? You shouldn't have let their words affect you that much.
"Whatever. At least now you know what Rogers is like." Peter sent you a grim smile and got up, picking his bright yellow sackpack from the floor. "Shit, I gotta go if I don't wanna be late. Let's meet in a library later, alright?"
"O-of course." You hurriedly stood up and left the lockers room after him, turning to the library: your Lit class was cancelled, so you decided to go study right away. At this time, the library was usually full, and you felt safe there.
Your thoughts were all about the guys again even when you were staring at your laptop, trying to focus on Excel numbers. Why did you feel like the atmosphere between them was so dense? If they were at such terms with each other, why did they group together to help you? What, because all of them loved you so much? It was ridiculous. There was something else to it, and you didn't know. You had a feeling no one was going to tell you the truth until you figured it all out by yourself.
Weird. It was all so weird. Steve's plan, their behavior, the relationships between them, and your nagging feeling they all were hiding something. Was it them who were actually following you?
The thought scared you to the point you started shivering. Oh shit.
"Hi there," the guy appeared behind your back so suddenly you almost jumped, looking at him wide-eyed, "sorry, did I startle you?"
"H-hi Jake! No, it's ok, I was just... studying." Both of you were talking in hushed voices, knowing the librarian would kick you out immediately if she heard some noise. "How are you?"
"I'm great, how're you?" You could hear concern in his voice: he was one of Thor's friends you met yesterday, and although you spoke briefly, Thor definitely told him more about you. "You look a bit worried."
"Oh, it's Math, I didn't really understand the topic, and we're having an exam on Monday... guess I'll be studying the whole weekend." You gave him your best smile to reassure you were totally ok, and the guy relaxed a little, smiling at you, too.
"I'm sure you'll pass. Thor said you're very smart."
What, he said that to all of them? Was he simply boasting about his girlfriend to his friends or was there something more to it?
"You're too kind. Thank you."
His smile grew wider, and he landed on the next seat to yours, resting his hands on the table. Apparently, there was something he wanted to talk to you about, and you grew uneasy.
"Listen, about these incidents... Thor told us all about it, so if you see any freaks following you around, you can message any of us, and we'll come right away." Looking at his serious expression, his bushy brows furrowed, you hoped he eas being sincere with you: you had enough with people you could no longer trust. "And also... that kid, if he's giving you troubles or anything, just let me know, and I'll tell him to keep his hands to himself"
Oh, he was talking about Peter, wasn't he? He had probably seen that silly photo. Wow, you though, Peter was totally right about Instagram: it was the best news source in the academy.
Thanking him for his concern, you laughed a little, convincing him there was nothing serious except for the theft and promising to tell him if anything weird would be going on. While it should have made you feel safer, in fact, you only grew more frustrated with this situation. You wanted to forget about these freaks and just spend you day like any normal student would, but everywhere you went people were staring at you as if you had a horn; one boyfriend or the other was always close to protect you from some unknown danger, and although you believed they tried to help, you hated the feeling they were hiding something from you. Why did you have to be going through all this? Wasn't it really better to drop off school, spend a year working and then apply to a better place?
Thinking of the faces your parents would make once you returned home, you realized it wasn't. This school with all those creeps wasn't worse than home that never felt like a safe place you wanted to come back to. Besides, all money you saved up until now were only good for buying food and things like that: you'd never afford to rent a decent place unless you found a well-paid job. It meant staying with your parents, and it wouldn't be much better than here, just different. If you wanted to drop off, you had to find a good place to stay.
Well, you could at least try, right?
When Peter met you in the library, the two of you no longer talked about anything important, simply studying together to prepare for the exams next week. It didn't feel off: from time to time you met his gaze, and the both of you smiled. You were thankful he didn’t talk about Steve or other guys or that weirdo in the lockers room.
Once you returned home, you went straight to bed, completely exhausted. Luckily, you did much more than yesterday, so you could rest now, but then you thought of Thor kissing you and bit down the pillow, angry at yourself. Why did you keep thinking of him right now?
______________
When you woke up the next morning, you felt like something was off: your body ached, your throat hurt, and your headache was only making it worse. Dammit, you caught a cold, probably. And that’s when it was finally the day to meet Steve, the guy you thought was a mastermind behind all these manipulations that were making you sick to the core.
Anyway, it’s not like a mere cold would prevent you from doing everything you had planned. You left your bed and went to the bathroom, moving the dresser before again.
Honestly, it felt terrible. It was definitely because of that flimsy dress you wore to school yesterday when the weather was becoming chilly. Argh. Watching your puffy eyes and swollen nose, you sneezed. Today you had to apply way more makeup to look decently.
Steve showed up earlier than either Thor or Peter: you had to skip your breakfast, hoping to buy something cheap in the cafeteria.
“Good morning.” He said with his everyday polite expression that soon shifted into a concerned one. “Are you alright?”
What, was it that bad? You did your absolute best to apply enough makeup and do your hair. Did you still look so sick?
“Good morning. Yes, I’m ok, just feeling a little sleepy.” You yawned on purpose, covering your mouth with your hand, and Steve’s face softened.
“Did you study all night?”
“Yep, exams are driving me a little crazy.”
“I understand. I also stayed late last night.”
Of course, the student council president studying all days long to be number one student in the academy. If you didn’t know of his twisted nature, you’d think he was the most typical nerd.
You spent most of the time either in silence or talking about studies, the academy, and everything related to it. Steve acted like a gentleman and a scholar, albeit a little too demonstratively. Walking with you as if he were a king of the place, he constantly replied to greetings of others, waved to his acquaintances and smiled. You felt so off you wanted to find Loki and walk with him: unlike Steve, he was considered unpleasant by the prevailing majority of students.
“Are you sure you’re going to be alright?” America golden boy asked you for the last time, and you forced yourself to smile.
“Of course. Thanks for coming, see you later, Steve.”
As he finally left you in peace, you almost fell down into your chair, your fever only getting worse despite the fact you took some painkillers. It was going to be a long day.

Tumblr media
Ever since his fake death, Itadori has been training alone with the help of Gojo - and now, he works along a freshly new face, who belongs to a senior, founds out ex-salaryman named Nanami Kento. He's far a thousand times more strict than Gojo. Itadori doesn't really likes the change, because Nanami is a person he can't get along. This whole guy's appearance scream "work 4 life"; he has proved different, now he screams "work is shit - but I gotta do it because others won't".
They've just finished cleansing the outside of a movie theater off a few curses, when Itadori hears shouting from far behind them. Two figures approach, waving excessively. He quickly picks on Nanami's tired sigh beside him.
"Nanami! We figured out you'd be here! Our mission has been finished and we wanted to catch up to have lunch together!" A male clad in a full black outfit shouts, he has brown hair and a beanie on top of his head, looking quite content.
The other person simply trots next to him in silence, approaching with a friendly smile. They notice Itadori faster than the male, smile widening and quickly waving hello, suddenly eager to reach up to them. The gesture makes the pink haired boy perk up, curious to why the other person looked so joyful. His question is easily answered, when they tug on the man's sleeve and motion to him.
"Ino, we have a third buddy!" The dude looks at him with widened eyes. "So nice to meet you, I'm Y/N L/N! It's great to see new faces around!"
Itadori smiles at your energy, knowing already he would click with you very well.
"I'm Ino Takuma, sorry for not noticing you before! Your uniform looks cool." Itadori exchanges a few compliments with Ino, before the man turns to talk with Nanami, leaving him and you together.
"Yes! I'm Sukuna's vessel, Itadori Yuuji-desu! My type of woman is Jenn-"
You turn to him. "So, are you a first year?"
"Geh? Weren't you dead though?!"
"I was!- I am!- Please keep secret."
"Okay!"
"Ahem." Nanami coughs, drawing attention. "I requested you two to not come after me today. Itadori here is the reason why."
"That's no problem, we're very capable of keeping secrets." You threw your arm over Itadori's shoulder, him nodding along with you.
"Oh really, then remember to keep quiet about it. I'll let this slide." The group of students nervously at Nanami's intimidating tone. "But, I'll get to have my break alone."
"Gah!" Ino exclaimed, watching Nanami walk away; he also left the responsability of taking care of Itadori for you two, leaving without a word. "It really had to be today, when Nanami would take us to his favorite bakery..."
"Crybaby." You teased. "Itadori here can't go outside where anyone can see him, he's dead. So, we were to order food either way because he shouldn't be left out."
"Augh okay, it would be unfair."
"So, where are you staying Itadori?"
"At Gojo's state!"
"Whoa, I've never been there before." Ino commented, waiting as you sent a message to Ijichi to pick them up.
"He's my teacher, a very cool one!"
"I imagine! Ooookay, once we get there I'll get the food."
Itadori felt as his chest would burst of excitement, finally there was people around him again, he couldn't be less happy about it.
"Sharing is caring!"
Itadori laughed as you wrestled with Takuma for some fries, netflix long forgotten in the background, as watching the banter was way more entertaining. Most of the time, Ino rambled a lot about Nanami, while he rambled a lot about Gojo. The guy even showed him the cool scar under his beanie. He felt kinda upset after explaining the exchange was just temporary, his stay under Nanami's wing wasn't decisive, and therefore, he was more like a classmate than a partner.
Itadori also learned a lot about you. He was surprised to find out that you, although energetic, was the one to speak the lesser in conversations. His surprisement grew even bigger when you told him you're a exchange student from Kyoto, arriving Tokyo about the same month as him - thankfully, you were to say for good.
Conversations flowed easily in the air, until a voice from the doorway barged in.
"Yuuji-kun! Don't forget about your lessons! Hi kids! Bye kids!" Gojo said playfully, throwing the familiar punching bear to Itadori before leaving.
"What's this thing?" Ino asked.
"It's to help me control my cursed energy. So while I watch the movies, if I don't charge it with cursed energy it punches me square in the face. I thought I had mastered this thing already, but he insist I keep training with it." Itadori grumbles.
"At least it's cute." You commented, taking a sip of your drink.
"Until it punches you in your face without warning!" The pink haired boy barks.
The talks died down, the three of you eating quietly when another movie is played on the screen. Itadori didn't bother reading the title, it was a plain one about a zombie apocalypse that got him extremely bored, yet he kept watching still so the plushie didn't punch him in the face again; he's been keeping a record since all his last cursed energy training lessons were a sucess to this day. When his head started nodding and eyelids dropping Itadori can't remember well, about fourty five minutes of movie perhaps? Make it fifty, the second slumber took over his body completely.
When he awoke once again, it was near midnight, the clock on the wall told him so. He also noticed a soft and warm surface supporting his head, figures, it's your shoulder he's resting into, he feels an arm around his own shoulders and your cheek placed upon his hair.
"Hey, it's late." You immediately notices he's awake, calling out softly. "You should sleep on your room, or something, better to your spine."
He chuckles when you poke his side. "But I'm comfortable here."
"I'm surprised, you just met me today, and now is sleeping on my shoulder."
"I'm not, that happens often to me."
"Sleeping on people's shoulders?"
"No! Making friends quickly." Itadori likes your gentle warmth, your hug, everything makes him feel at home. "I met two more people before you for two weeks, but they can't see me, because I'm dead."
"So I'll keep you company, that's my new mission."
His eyes widen at that, a oh so little blush covering the tip of his ears.
"For how many time I slept anyway?" He asks.
"About two- no, three hours. You missed two movies, and this one is about to end."
"And you stayed here the whole time?" He motions to your shoulder.
"Yep. That reminds me I gotta pee."
Itadori grumbles, but quickly lifts himself off you, respecting your needs. That gives him some time to look around, he notices Ino is gone, and the plushie sits quietly at the other side of the couch, unmoving.
"Y/N! How did you manage to make it quiet down?" He's beyond bafflet.
"...que."
"What!"
"I said!" You arrive quickly at the doorframe, hands still wet from when you washed them. "I used my innate technique."
"Oh! How is it like?"
"It's kinda funny, gimme a moment." You left to wipe off your hands, coming back in a second. "So, just like Shoko, I produce reverse curse energy, but it's quite different than hers, I can't heal people. That's why we often call it positive energy instead. I can use it to soothe off negative energy, so the bear has no cursed energy right now."
"How does it works on people?" He felt very curious about everything, asking away like a kid.
"Since everyone has negative energy, it just makes you sleepy really. But when it comes to curses it's really practical, I can either weaken it or, if the curse is like grade three or four, I can slap them off existence completely by wiping all their energy." You were naturally proud of having a such versatile power, your own energy swirling with pride around you.
"That sounds amazing! Is it why I fell asleep though?"
"Nah, only if I did it on purpose. I guess you were just tired, hope you don't mind I decided to let you rest today."
"No way, it was a good nap."
You nodded. "By the way, Ino left to attend to a drinking party, he paid for our food."
"Drinking? Is he old?"
"Yeah, he's twenty." You chuckled, already expecting that kind of reaction.
"No way! He looks young just like us!"
"That's totally my reaction after I learned he's twenty!"
After that day, you started visiting Itadori weekly to daily, after exchanging numbers he made a little group with you and Ino, naming it the "Nanami trio". But really, he exchanges more texts with you in private, be them memes, cool images he wish to share, etcetera. Although, Ino wasn't left excluded, he ofter brough his xbox to connect to Itadori's tv room and you all would spend hours playing together; he just didn't spend much time with both of you as much. And that was okay.
For a few days, your connection with Itadori died down when he didn't reply to your texts. They would remain unread for some time, the longest being half a day, until he would spam apologies then move on with the topic. That became a routine until one day when you came over to check on Itadori unnanounced, needin to ease off your worries about the boy, only to find him sobbing in the middle of a hallway, staring ahead and beyond, his back to you.
"Ita-?"
"Egh!" Startled, he scrambled to wipe his eyes, turning to you. "H-hey, um, hi."
"What happened?"
"I- he-" His eyes didn't met yours, knuckles white in a death grip. You notice he has a few bandages thrown over his face and arms. The way his shoulders are drawn, as if he wants to shrink into himself is something you've experienced before.
"Something hard to talk about?"
He nods almost immediately, head still facing down.
"It's alright, come with me." You reach for his hands, grimacing slightly when his forceful grip is now on your hand, yet you don't comment on it. He follows you through the state wordlessly.
You two stop on the same tv room, sitting down on the couch. You then guide his head to your shoulder, gently massaging his scalp with the free hand.
"It's alright."
Those two words are chanted like a prayer for the next half hour, at some point, Itadori twisted his body towards yours and unknowingly caged you between him and the sofa arm. He embraced you with a force you didn't have in you, like he didn't want to lose one another. Painful or not, not a muscle moved on your body. He needed a shoulder to cry on.
Thirty minutes passed like seconds, you peered down only to find the boy confortably napping against your bosom; at some point you just became the cold side of the pillow to him. That's alright. It brings you joy to be the mom friend anyways. So you decided to join the sleepland aswell, arms still secured around his shoulders and the back of his head.
It feels like the nap hasn't been long, though, because you can feel Itadori's grip loosening and therefore, you're awake.
"Sorry if I broke any bones, in advance."
"Wow, and you only warn me now."
He laughs at your comeback, hands still secured around your waist.
"I'm surprised you let me uh, cuddle you for comfort - and sleep. I don't understand it? You just make me sleepy." He rambled, keeping eye contact with you while his head still rests on your chest.
"That's a piece of cake when you have younger siblings who seek for you every night they get a nightmare."
"Does that mean I can come to you again if I have a nightmare?" There it is, his togepi-kirby cutesy face.
"Are you four?"
"That's mean!" Itadori blushed, squeezing you on his arms. "I like the contact. It puts me at ease."
"Mm, do you want to talk about it?"
He gulped. "No, not really."
Your peach haired friend remained silent, and so did you. It seems he doesn't intend in letting you go soon, or he just really forgot to mention it. It gives them time to think, your younger sisted used to do that sometimes, back in Kyoto.
"Y/N, wanna watch anything?"
"Sure, have you watched Parasyte before?"
"No, let's give it a try then!" Itadori glances at the remote, then back at you - making you confused over his hesitation to move. He notices you noticed it, chuckling nervously. "To be honest, I don't wanna let go."
"It's hurting my back."
"SORRY I'M SORRY!" He jumped away from you like a cat would jolt away from a cucumber, making you snicker.
"It's okay, I just wanted to change positions."
And to tease you, but he didn't need to know that part.
He glared at you with a small pout, typing the initials of Parasyte on the search bar. Outside his line of vision, you were grinning like a idiot, his sweeteness took a tow on you. All the people of Tokyo you met really held a way different spirit from your classmates in Kyoto, Itadori being the nicest of all. It's surprising him being Sukuna's vessel to begin with; being honest, you felt drawn by it.
"Y/N, it's startiiiiing." He cut your daydreaming short, slumping on your side and propping his head on your shoulder.
"This again?" You throw an arm around his shoulders, very much like the first time he cuddled himself on you.
"Don't blame me, you're the one who wanted to change positions. Guess I'll just make some alterations since I'm awake this time!" One of his arms went behind your back and circled your waist, hand resting at your hip.
"It's definely different, since the other time you drooled on me."
"Hhgh, okay okay! Let me enjoy this." For perhaps the actual first time, you're able to watch without exchanging words with one another.
And this time, it's you who's head loll to the side, nose buried on his soft rose perfumed hair. Itadori doesn't comment on it yet, his free hand moves under your legs to lift your whole body up efortlessly when he senses you have fallen asleep.
"I remember you said it's bad for my spine, I wouldn't mind it... yours however."
The boy makes a beeline to the guest room, he sighs when there is no choice but open the door with his foot. Inside, he places you carefully in the soft bed.
Before he could leave, a hand reaches up for his sleeve.
"Itadori," He turned, looking at you. "Make me company?"
He giggles softly - you think it sounds like a highschool girl. "You should start calling me by my first name!" Itadori rambles as he climbs on the bed, arms wrapping around your waist in a motion you're familiar with.
"Yuuji, I'm tired, let me sleep."
"But I wanna talk more..." He pouts. "Also, are we, um, dating?"
You wriggle around, bringing his head down to peck on his forehead, teasing. "Correction, I want to date you."
"Uh, oh." A blush coats his face so quickly, you'd say someone dumped a bucket of red paint on his face.
"Is that a no?"
"No!"
"So it is a no."
"Christ, will you stop teasing for a second, I'm trying to talk here." He makes an angry version of his togepi-kirby face, you can't help but grin.
"You amuse me, but okay. I'll do it for you."
"Thanks." He blinks, the blush slowly fading away. "You know, I lied, not about the contact, I like the contact nonetheless-"
His hand moves to play with yours, such as tapping his tips against yours, or meassuring the palms.
"-it's you who brings me comfort."
It's also your turn to blush, that line was seriously charming.
"Yeah."
"Yeah?"
"Yes, we're dating now." You respond, a little eagerly. "Can I kiss you?"
"Please."
This is the best person I could ask for, Itadori thinks, keeping his eyes open as yours shut during the kiss, whom I won't change for anything else in this world.
When you both separate, Itadori feels drowsy and sleepy. His face fits perfectly on your shoulder as always.
"Goodnight, my favorite person."

An Open Letter to the Future Love of my Life <3
Summary: just an open letter to the future love of my life, whoever he is, whenever I find him. Just a bunch of mushy stuff and YEARNING. Loosely inspired by that Michael Buble song "Just haven't met you yet" Maybe this will turn into a series of letters over time? idk
To the Future Love of my Life:
I haven't met you yet. But I've been thinking about you. I've been imagining you here with me when I lie in bed at night: your body warm and heavy with sleep. I can listen to your soft breaths, and see your chest rise and fall slowly, peacefully, in the near darkness of our room. Our room. I've been thinking about how it will feel to snuggle up next to you, even though it's already warm beneath my covers. I put an extra blanket on when it starts to get cold because it's just me right now. But when you're with me I may not need one! You'll probably be so warm (like all guys are!) it will make me too hot!
Or maybe I'll put that extra blanket on anyways because, who knows... maybe you'll work sometimes at night and I'll be alone. And I can do that silly thing where I cuddle up with you but stick my one leg out from under the covers to regulate my temperature. Maybe you'll tease me about it if you're the teasing type. I imagine that you are. And it's ok. I can take it. Because I like to tease back, my love.
I wonder what little things you'll do that will earn my teasing. Maybe you'll snore at night? Probably. Most people do, even if just a little bit. Maybe you'll be the type that gets really cute when you get sleepy. Like, you start mumbling and saying adorable little things that you would never own up to the next morning. I could tell you that I will remember what you've said, and you'll protest that I won't until you're mumbling against my lips because I've decided to kiss you to shut you up. Lovingly, of course.
Maybe we'll lie in bed and fall asleep talking about things that don't matter like our favorite numbers, tree species, and how certain words sound funny when you say them enough times. Maybe we'll debate things like best sandwiches, best beaches, best shows and characters. Maybe we'll debate more serious things, too. It's a given that we won't always agree, and maybe some nights we won't have a single thing to say except "good night"... but it won't matter because you'll love me, and I'll love you, too.
I've been thinking about the little forehead kisses you'll give me when you get out of bed, or before you crawl into bed when I've gone upstairs before you (Because I was too tired to stay up). Or, the little kisses I plant on your shoulder when I roll over in the morning and you're still there. Gravelly "good mornings" and "I love you"s with mussed up hair and sleepy eyes. You'll tell me that I'm pretty. And I'll believe you. You'll kiss my hand and hold it. It's going to be so perfectly mundane but lovely, too. And I'll never take it for granted.
I really can't wait until we meet. Maybe we won't feel anything at first, but we'll stick it through until we realize our feelings for each other. Maybe it will come out in a dramatic fashion, or just quietly in the privacy of our own company. Or.. maybe we'll feel that 'spark' people talk about? Ha Ha, I no longer really believe in such a thing and tend to believe that's more of a danger sign these days. But, if it happens, I do promise to be cautious and take things slowly. No matter how intense the feeling. Either way, you're going to have to be patient with me. I know you will be, though, because you'll be a good guy. I just know it!
I hope that wherever you are, you are having a good day and know that I am excited about meeting you eventually, and living a life that we build together. Until then, be well and be your genuine self... and I will do the same. I know that you're out there somewhere. Maybe you're lying there, thinking of someone just like me. I promise I'm here for you and I'll love you for the rest of my life once we find each other.
I'm here for you. I’m ready to be yours. I just haven't met you yet.
Love,
Aya

Duskwood
Phil Hawkins x MC
Part 2 (1/2) : MC goes to work and a certain boy comes to meet her for lunch.
----------------------------------------------------------
Heyy guys! Here's a piece of part2. It was too long to put the whole thing on Tumblr at once (apparently) so I had to cut it in half 🙈 (2/2) is coming!!
Tumblr media
(I just made the collage. Credits go to the creators of Duskwood and the owners of the pics.)
----------------------------------------------------------
I slowly wake up, feeling and hearing something buzzing. With my eyes still closed, I slide my hand under the pillow next to mine to grab my phone. I hate waking up by alarms… It feels like I am being cut in my sleep. And I’m not going to lie… I love my sleep just as much as I love food. Who doesn’t? I open my eyes and turn the alarm off before quickly closing them again. I didn't sleep well last night… When I went to bed after texting Phil to tell him I got home fine, I couldn’t stop thinking about the discussion we had at his bar. Was I right to say “yes” for lunch tomorrow noon? Was he being serious? Is he playing a game? Am I falling in his net? I don’t know and I think that’s what terrifies me with him. I just don’t want to be his next hookup… If I start something, it’s for a serious relationship, not to play around. That’s not my thing. But that’s exactly what Phil does so… I guess I should just trust a little more myself. Anyway, that was just the first part of the night, because the next part, all I could do was think about my uncle. Every time I closed my eyes, I just recalled amazing moments with him. Moments that mom, he and I won’t ever have again… I laid on my back, on my sides, on the side… And I did this over and over until managing to fall asleep.
I turn on the lamp on my nightstand when I hear my phone suddenly buzzing again. But I turned it off… Oh! I grab my phone and answer the call after looking at the I.D. caller.
- Hey, mom, how are you? I just woke up… I tell my mother with a still sleepy voice as I sit on the side of my bed. The light is still too much so I close my eyes for a few seconds more. Suddenly, a noise coming from behind the phone call catches my attention. It’s not a noise I am used to hear her make... Mom? I call her with some concern.
- “He's gone…” I hear her simply whispering through the phone as another sound catches my attention again. Sobs… Mom is crying. I’ve heard my mother crying before. It’s so… Strange and heartbreaking. I mean, mom has always been that strong figure, fighting everyone coming in her way or in mine… But she never broke down before me.
- I know, mom. I'm so sorry. But… I begin to respond calmly, keeping the pain to myself. I’ve never heard nor seen my mom crying in my life. She’s all I have as a family and hearing her in such pain… It’s heartbreaking.
- "Can you come over today? I'll need you to finish the preparation of the funeral. I can't do this alone. And..." She interrupts me, sounding overwhelmed and submerged. I lower my head and keep a desperate sigh inside of me. I wish I could already be next to her and tell her to not worry. That she doesn’t have to do anything. That I will take care of this for her. But I can’t because of my dumbass boss… Unbelievable...
- I'd love to, mom, really. But I have to go to work, I begin to say, sounding sad and sorry for not being there for her. I hate it. I feel like I’m betraying my own mother. That I’m not giving her the support she needs right now. And maybe the one that I also need... But she knew uncle Alex for longer than I did so it’s fairer that I should be there for her... But once I'm out, I'll stop by your house to come help you, okay? So I can see you a little bit too, mom. I should finish at 3p.m. today, if my boss doesn't think otherwise, I tell her gently. Though, an unsure point is heard in my voice. We never know with my boss… If he had a bad day, he is capable of giving you two extra hours to do just because he wanted to.
- "You know, your uncle was always there for me. I remember when we were kids…" I frown with sadness to the sound of her voice. It’s broken… She sounds empty. Out of life. "There was this horrible kid terrorizing the youngsters. I was one of those kids being terrorized, but of course, as my big brother, he protected me. He always did. He was really protective, you know?" She recounts me in brief words with a trembling voice. I know the story by heart. Uncle Alex used to tell it to me as a bedtime story. He was the hero of course. I never doubt that… I hear mom sniffling and letting another sob out. "So was he with you, baby. He loved you as his own, you know?", oh… When she said "baby", her voice just completely broke. I could barely hear it. I continue to look down as I feel a lump forming in my throat. I miss Uncle Alex like crazy... "And he did the same when your father left..." She admits to me, going to the topic about how my uncle was protective. Which I already knew as well... It honestly hurts to hear all of this so soon after his tragic death. I still haven’t digested it. It’s still not real to me. I still think I will see him today or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow... But it seems to make mom feel better by saying those words to me, by recounting her memories. So, I'll listen carefully. Or I'll try, at least… If I don't break before too. Her pain is so profound… And shared.
- Mom, you don't have to tell me all of this now. Let some time pass. It's hurting you, I say with a slight pleading tone, hoping she will listen to me. I know it's hard to not think about it or to not want to talk about it. But I just think it's too soon for her. And for me... She can't turn the page in a finger snap. It’s impossible. Even if she feels like she did or she has to do it, it might not be the best way.
- "I love you, MC. You're my baby girl." She says over the phone, sniffling sadly again. I nod even though she doesn't see me. I am staring at the floor, my sight being blurry. Not again...
- I love you so much, mom, I reply to my mother, controlling my voice as much as possible despite the tight ball in my throat. She doesn’t need to know that I’m about to cry too. I hear her sniffling behind the phone call again followed by a new sob. I can't… Look, I have to go, mom, but I'll come see you later today, okay? I'll come with a little surprise, I tell her gently, wanting and feeling the need to cheer her up. I just want my mother to be happy again.
- "A surprise? You know I don't like surprises much, MC.", She replies with a mix between her crying and a faint chuckle before reminding me how she has always hated surprises. I know…
- That's why I'm bringing you one, I answer to my mom, cracking a smile to the sound of her faint chuckle.
- "You're a little Devil, just like your uncle... What's the surprise?" She begins to say before pausing. It's true, I got a little bit of him too. I guess it's because he sort of raised me and because I'm a (l/n) as well.
- Mom, if I tell you there would be no point for me to call it a surprise, wouldn't it? I answer with a gentle and playful tone before giggling. I hear her crying turning into giggles.
- "I tried. Okay, go to work, baby, and... I'll do a few things here... I'll try. Oh, and I ordered the flowers you asked me to pick for your uncle." She responds with another small chuckle before sniffling one more time. I smile a little more, glad to hear that I managed to make her smile a little bit despite the situation. She ordered the flowers… My smile grows a little more, glad about this news.
- Okay, call me if you need me for anything. Doesn't matter if I work or not, okay? I love you, mom, I reply sincerely to my mother, giving her a little cheerful tone.
- "I will. I love you too, baby. See you later.", She says back to me, sounding a little better then when I answered the phone. I smile and wait a few seconds before hanging up. Right… I feel like I have another long day coming… I let a long sigh out, as if I am trying to get rid of a weight on my shoulders, before wiping the tears in my eyes. Well, I've got to get ready...
Almost an hour later, I am on my way to work. Like every day, I see the same streets, the same cars, the same shops, the same streetlights… Of course, I am not going there with an ounce of motivation. I’d rather stay home or go anywhere else, but not there. I’m not saying being a waitress is the worst job, but my boss and some clients are actually really hard to deal with. Anyway…
I rapidly reach the back door of the restaurant I work at and enter the building which leads to the kitchen. The cooks and the waitresses are all here, ready to work. Oh, almost… I hold the door for Angie and she runs in, thanking me at the same time. We exchange a smile and get ready to start working. The clients should start coming soon… It's been three months since my boss decided to expand the restaurant to include a little coffee shop. I think it was a good idea, a good change in Duskwood. It was a test at first to see if people would like it. The clients seemed satisfied so that’s why I am here so early every morning now.
- MC! I look up immediately after hearing a gravelly voice yelling my name. My boss walks briskly towards me, a frown of madness plastered over his face. As usual... What time does my watch indicate? He asks me while showing me his watch on his right wrist. What…?
- 8:01am.? I answer, not sure where this is going.
- You were supposed to be here at 8:00a.m.. Not at 7:59a.m., not at 8:01a.m., but at 8:00a.m.! Is it so hard to understand in your dummy brain? He tells and asks me with madness, actually scolding me for arriving one minute late. As always, he raises his voice while talking, making sure everyone can hear who is commanding here. I guess you see what I meant when I said that I wasn’t very motivated to come to work...
- I'm sorry, boss, I simply say as I don’t want to argue nor lose my job. Well, it’s mainly that I’m not up to an argument right now… I have other things to think about. To worry about.
- Don't. Since you came late, you'll go home late. You're finishing at 6p.m. today, he tells me with a correcting tone, looking down on me. He’s joking, right? 6pm?
- What? You're making me do three extra hours for one minute late? I demand him with disbelief as I’m getting upset.
- And you're not paid for those, he points out seriously, still speaking as loud as before. Not paid?! Better and better...
- Sir, I can’t work extra hours today. I have to go see my mom this afternoon after work. My uncle passed away yesterday and I have to help for the funerals and… I explain to my boss with seriousness, going up against him. I mean, I can be shy and quiet and all, just don’t take me for an idiot or play with me.
- That's not a valuable excuse. Get to work before I change my mind and actually fire you for rebellion, he orders me seriously and sternly. Right… I look down, not responding to not receiving any consequences later. Everyone, back to work! he screams to all of his employees before walking away to do his life. Dick!
- Don't listen to this cold hearted dick, MC, I hear Angie telling me as she comes to stand in front of me. She’s a little taller than me. If you need to leave, then do. I'll cover for you. I knew something wasn't right yesterday but we barely crossed paths so I couldn't ask you what was wrong. I'm really sorry about your uncle, MC, she apologizes sincerely to me as she puts her hand on my shoulder. Angie is one of the only workers I get well along with here. Yeah, nothing goes well in this restaurant… It’s sad because it could have its potential. I smile at my friend while weakly nodding.
- Thanks, Angie, I thank her sincerely as I place my hand on top of hers. She smiles and nods back before the two of us take separated ways to go do our work.
The morning passed pretty quickly to be fair. I prefer when it’s like this. Working and watching the time pass is one of the worst feelings. There were so many clients this morning that I didn’t have time to get bored. It’s actually pretty rare that there are so many people coming in the morning. I mean, it’s still a little buzzy usually but not this much. I hope that will put my boss in a good mood and he’ll kind of forget the late minute thing this morning… Right, even I don’t believe this… I take the plates and cutleries that customers have left to clear the table. I clean it well and let other customers settle in. The noon hour and 1pm are the worst. There is often a line of customers waiting for a table but it goes on pretty well usually. Anyway… It’s time for my break. I put the dirty dish and cutleries in the bassin which is on a cart to later go to the kitchen.
- Hi, I turn around to look at the person who is not so unfamiliar to me, I'm looking for a pretty (h/c) with crazy (e/c) in which you would easily get lost in. Have you seen her around? says and asks me, a man, using a flirtatious and slight playful tone at the same time. I smile and softly laugh while nodding.
- Yeah, I think she went back to the kitchen a little while ago. But I don’t know where she went after, I reply playfully to my friend as I point towards the kitchen. The man softly laughs back before passing his hand in his long hair which isn't in a ponytail or a bun for once. How dare he look so good?
- How are you, Gorgeous? Asks me gently, Phil, as we are facing one another.
- I’m good. I have the same problem as last night, but I’m good. You? I answer with a very faint sigh as I keep a small smile before asking him.
- I'm good, thanks, he responds, having that damn smirk in the corner of his lips. The two of us stare at each other for a little moment, a smile on our face. I can’t really explain why or how, but seeing him here, now, like we said last night, makes me happy. So, is it still on for having lunch together or...? He asks me, a point of nervousness heard in his voice. He isn’t sure of himself which is so rare to see.
- Yes… I begin to tell him before hearing a gravelly voice calling for me.
- MC! I turn around and see my boss approaching us. Oh… No time for talking! Get back to work! He tells me harshly in front of Phil. Oh God… So awkward! I know I have said stories to my friends about my boss, but none of them actually saw the man talking to me that way. And I wish it wouldn’t have been Phil seeing and hearing him talking to me this way. What is he going to think?
- You're seriously letting that dumbass talking to you this way? I hear Phil whispering lowly in my ear. His deep voice echoing in my ear… He sounded like he couldn’t just believe what he just heard. Oh but it’s real, Phil… I live it every day like all the employees here.
- It's almost 1p.m., sir. I'm on my break… I begin to respond to my boss, not forgetting that I actually want to get out of work at 3p.m and not 6p.m. I still have hope… A faint one but, it’s still there.
- Break? He repeats my word with disbelief as he is standing right before my face now. No break for you today. Come on, move! He exclaims, speaking with a mad tone as usual. If I didn’t know him, I would think he actually hate me. Which might be the case… It’s not possible to scream so much on someone without reasons, right? Ugh, is that guy ever happy? Or just calm?
- Hey! I hear Phil’s loud voice coming from behind me before I could say anything to my boss. I slightly widened my eyes in surprise as I didn’t think Phil would say something. She's your employee, not your stooge! You should watch it! He tells him with a warning tone which I’ve never really heard before. The only time I heard him using this tone was when one of his regulars overstepped the line. I look on my left as I see Jessy’s brother standing next to me, slightly getting before me. Oh… He looks so mad.
- And who might you be to talk back to me? Questions, my boss to Phil. Oh no… I glance around us and notice that customers are staring at us, watching the scene. So awkward… Before Phil could do something or say a word, and mostly before it goes too far, I grab discreetly Phil’s wrist. He doesn’t move nor look at me. My boss is still staring at Jessy’s brother. He is not pleased at all...
- Look, sir. She's been working since 8:00a.m., and it's 1p.m. in less than five minutes. You can't take off her lunch break just because you're her boss, it's against the law. But if you think you are above them, maybe we could stop by the police station to see who's right? Responds calmly and politely, Phil, all while still having this warning and serious tone. I’ve always been amazed by how polite he can stay despite the circumstances or the situation. I mean, it’s easy to lose control due to anger, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he fights.
- 30minutes. No more, tells me, my boss, reluctantly giving me a break. Thanks to Phil… I nod positively before he turns around and leaves us at a quick pace. Phil turns around before looking down at me.
- Thanks, but you didn't have to do that, Phil, I thank him with a small shy tone, yet, thankful he actually stepped in for me.
- I did and I wanted to. But honestly, that guy deserved more than just a "talk", he replies with sincerity and seriousness. While talking about my boss, I could hear the madness in his voice. I nod understandingly as I give him a small smile, appreciating it for standing up for me. It’s not every day it happens. Come on, he suddenly tells me with his infectious smile. I don't answer. Instead, my smile grows wider while the two of us walk through the restaurant to reach the outside. Oh, he has a bag! How did I not see it?

Chapter 14 to '100 Promises'
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
Warnings: Swearing, nightmares, mentions of rape, death threats, panic attacks and I think that's about it
You hoped you didn't have nightmares.
But hoping for such a thing was wishful thinking.
"No... nonononono, silly girl! He's not here. You should check down there, I heard his father called for him," the voice taunted. You hated that voice. "Oh! Or maybe he's up there! Where you found his note! Maybe he really did it this time!"  You stood in a dark room. The walls, floor, ceiling were pitch black. There was only light was a dim light where you stood.
You didn't know where the voice was coming from. All you knew was that it was taunting you.
"He's fine," you said, your hands shaking even though your voice sounded brave. "Is he?" The voice laughed. "Nonononononono! I think you're mistaken! He's over here!" The voice said, getting distorted with every 'no' it said. In the room, a screen in front of you lit up. It showed a video of you two being on the roof, and suddenly him falling off. You gasped. Another screen lit up. Another, another, another. And which each one, a new way of him dying.
You covered your ear. You couldn't stand it. All around you was noise. He was crying. He was screaming. He was begging you to help. You couldn't. You screamed, "Stop it! Make it stop!"  repeatedly as if it would. All the screens shut off. You were panting, and shaking, tears you didn't know had formed fell from your eyes. You dropped to the floor. "You're a liar! He's fine!" You screamed out into the darkness. You heard slow dragging footsteps getting close to you. "Is he? Or are you lying again?" The voice said. As it got closer, you started to recognize it. "You're a liar liar pants on fire!" The voice sounded younger this time. Even still, you knew who it was. "Liar! Why are you such a liar!" It shouted, going back to sounding like him. Just distorted. The footsteps got even closer, and you could finally see the body of the person. The face was covered by the shadows. "I'm not a liar! Not! I'm not I'm not I'm not!" You shouted. "You are! Liar!" It hissed. Why was it saying it in his voice? It hurt so much more coming from him. "I-i didn't lie to you, I promise!" You whimpered. "You promised you wouldn't lie... why would you lie to me? I trusted you," he asked. It sounded like he was crying. "I-i didn't! You can still trust me!" You cried. "Why did you lie to me?"
You woke up with a start, sitting up. You gasped, holding a hand to your chest. You looked besides you. Niragi was still there. You started crying quietly, curling up next to him. "Hngh... eh? What's wrong sweetheart?" You heard Niragi groan sleepily. "I-it was so scary!" You whimpered, hiding your face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around you, holding you tightly. "Are you mad at me? I'm sorry I lied to you, I was scared I'm sorry please don't hate me," you rambled, tears soaking through his shirt. " 'M not mad... we talked about this already. I'm just happy you're ok... did you have a nightmare?" He asked. You nodded.
You had been having a lot of nightmares recently. Most having to do with Niragi. This was one of the worst ones.
You had had nightmares since you were a kid. You had them when you met Niragi. You've kept having them into your adult life.
You woke up with a start. Without thinking, you wiped the tears from your eyes, and got up from bed. You went over to the balcony, and started to climb down the stairs you had made.
You were soon on the ground, and ran over to Niragis house. His light wasn't on like it usually was. Was he a sleep? Then you saw a sticky note on his window. ''I'm in the tree house working on something. If you need anything don't be afraid to go back there. There's a flashlight in the bush by my window since I know you're scared of being alone in the dark. Be safe (Y/N)," you read the note. You sniffled, and found the flashlight.
Walking through the path at night was terrifying. Anything or anyone could jump out at any moment.
But the safety of the lights on in the tree house, made you run to it. You found the ladder, held the flashlight in your mouth, and began climbing. Once you got up there, you saw Niragi working on something on the desk. Just like his note had said.  "Gi-gi..." you whispered. He turned around with a smile. Whatever he was working on on his desk, he hid from your view. "(Y/N), what's up?" He asked. You walked over, but he stopped you. "Here, let's go over there," he said, grabbing your hand. He lead you over to the beanbag chairs you had.
"So, what's up?" He asked once more. "Had a nightmare," you whispered. It must have been bad if you came out to look for him. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. "It was really scary this time! I-i didn't know if it was a dream, or if... if it had really happened, so I came to look for you. You always make me feel better," you whimpered, hugging him. He hugged you back, knowing you were probably not feeling the best right now. If you were crying it must be bad. "It's ok... tell me if you want," he whispered. You nodded, and he got up, leading you with him. First, he grabbed some blankets, and then he turned off the light. You followed him around, till he pulled you down on the beanbags again. "And you made me get up why?" You asked with a small laugh. "Because. Anyways... you still want to talk about it?"
"Are you ok? Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, yawning after he finished. You looked over seeing it was 2 am. You had woken him up. It seemed like you couldn't do anything right this night. You felt so utterly guilty, helpless, and tired that you just started sobbing. "I- I'm sorry imsorryimsorryimsorry," you apologized through hiccuping sobs. He looked down through sleepy eyes, and gently rubbed your back. "It's alright... you didn't do anything wrong sweetheart," he whispered. That nickname... Why was it making you feel weird?
"Sweetheart-"
"My sweetheart-"
"- sweetheart"
That's why. It's the nickname he had had for his ex girlfriends. He was tired, he probably wasn't thinking straight. No way would he call you that nickname if he weren't so tired.
It was reserved for his lovers. You knew you weren't his lover. It made you feel ...
Sad?
Why would you be sad, you liked him as a friend, didn't you?
"C-can... can I tell you... why I hadn't told you about what happened?" You whispered. "Of course. Go ahead," he said softly.
"If you tell that fucking loser what happened here today, you're dead. And so is he. Got it?" They threatened, gripping onto your hair tightly, pulling you up by it. You tried nodding, tears falling from your eyes. "I can't fucking hear you, slut," one spat, pulling a knife from his pocket. You flinched. "Y-yes! I got it!" You shouted through sobs. He let you go, your body falling to the ground. "Good. Let's go."
You lay there, unable to move. Not because of them, but because you couldn't. Getting up meant having to face the reality of what happened. Getting up would mean going home, cleaning up, and pretending this hadn't happened. Getting up would mean not telling Niragi. Getting up to you, meant letting them win.
But you had to get up.
So you did. Picking yourself off from the floor, you leaned on the tree behind you for support. You found your backpack, and grabbed it quickly, not wanting to stay here for a minute longer. Then you remembered that your clothes must be stained. You looked down to see blood running down your leg. "This really fucking happened...." you whimpered as tears filled your eyes. You fell to your knees, clutching your chest. You let out a loud scream as sobs racked through your whole body. You were scared, dirty, and guilty. All you could think about was having to face Niragi. Having to look at him, reminding him of the promises you'd made, but breaking one of them without him knowing. For the rest of your life. You felt horrible. You wanted to go home, and fall asleep forever.
"(Y-y/N)... I'm so sorry... I'm sorry I blew up at you about it sweetheart. I was being really fucking selfish darling. You... you've been through much more than I have. Yet you're still a better fucking person than I'll ever be. I... I had no right to be angry, upset, or disappointed in you. I didn't. It wasn't fair to you," he apologized, holding onto your tightly. You sniffled, snuggling into him further. '' S'ok... you didn't know," you whispered. "No. It's not. It's not ok at all. This is what I mean! You've only known people being cruel to you! Your father, the guys at school, people at work, goddammit people on the streets! And you've only ever been kind! Even when people don't deserve your forgiveness you give it to them! You might be cruel sometimes, but you've only been cruel to those who deserve it! My mother was kind! I had you! My grandmother! Your grandmother! I had a girlfriend in high school for a while! People have been kind to me, but I'm the worst fucking person! I don't... I don't deserve... your forgiveness," he yelled, sitting up, getting quieter at the end. He hated how he made this about himself. He didn't mean to, he really didn't. It just came out. "That's not true Suguru. You do deserve it. I've had people that were kind to me. I had you. I didn't need anything else. That was enough for me," you said, sitting up next to him. You put a hand on his shoulder, and smiled. "It's (Y/N) and Suguru against the world, forever and always right?" You giggled. "Yeah... (Y/N) and Suguru against the world... forever and always," he answered.
His thoughts were getting clouded over. You were there. You were so sweet. So nice. Adventurous, crazy, synical, caring, apathetic, confident, clever, funny. Everything at once. A contradiction of a woman. Perfect. That was another way to describe you. Everything he's ever wanted. He turned to face you, noticing how your eyes kept glancing at him.
You were also trapped in your thoughts. He had called you sweetheart and darling. While he was no longer tired. Two names reserved for lovers. What did that mean? Was he just overcome with emotion in that moment? He was your best friend. You did notice the butterflies in your stomach when he had said it. Each time seeming stronger than the last. A feeling of that's the way it was supposed to be. Like he was meant to call you those things. Like those words were made specifically for him to call you by them. You saw him staring at your face, trying to study you as well.
"Do you need something?" You asked with a smile. "Yeah, actually. You."
That was all he said, before pulling you into him. Your lips met with his own, and it felt like a puzzle was finally solved. A story getting it's happy ending. Magic. You kissed him back with just as much passion. It felt right. For his hands to be on you. For his lips to be on your own. For his skin to be on yours. It had felt right back then, and it still felt right now.
All the years that you had wondered why your relationships didn't work out were answered with this one kiss. Niragi. It was because you never loved them. You loved Niragi.
Niragi felt the same. Questions that were finally answered to him as well. He now knew his mother was right. He really did love you. That's why he never had interest in anyone. The girls he dated or slept with had never really been interesting to him. He only dated them to not make them feel bad. But really, it was you. You were the right choice...
And then he pulled away. Just as suddenly as the kiss had happened. "I... I need to go," he stated, getting off of your bed, out towards the door. "W-wait I-"
Before you could finish your sentence, he was gone. Out of the door, leaving you alone, confused, and sad. "Of course he regretted it... he doesn't like me that way. He was just in an emotional state that clouded his judgement... I... I am but a fool if I thought anything besides that," you whispered as tears filled your eyes.
As soon as he closed the door to your room, he ran into his.
"Fuck! Why did I do that? 15 years of friendship ruined. Gods I'm so dumb!" He yelled into his pillow. He didn't notice the tears that stained his pillow. He didn't care. 'Now you're truly alone. Great job. You're so good at ruining things Niragi. It should be your professional job! Niragi Suguru, professional opportunity ruiner! Niragi Suguru professional loner! You're so good at being alone, count that as the only thing you're good at!' The voice in his head taunted him. It taunted him for being so stupid to think a woman like you would ever love someone like him. For being alone. It brought up the fact he was alone so much, he felt his room grow smaller, and the breath in his lungs grow shorter. He couldn't see straight. His chest felt tight. The darkness in his room grew darker. Until he passed out.

Tumblr media
Jisung knew sneaking around behind his friends' backs was risky. He knew he'd get his neck snapped in half if he was found out to be dating someone without even his best friend knowing.
Oh, how he hoped to the heavens they didn't find out he was doing exactly that. And with his best friend's little sister out of all people.
"Meet me in my room after they fall asleep," you had whispered in his ear hours ago as you hid from your friends who searched around frantically for the two of you. "And make sure nobody sees you."
Jisung slowly and carefully pushed his best friend's head off his shoulder, watching in panic as the other boy's eyes groggily fluttered open.
"Hey, Jisung," Chenle slurred, still half-asleep. "Where are you going?"
"I– me?" Jisung stuttered, pointing to himself.
Chenle rolled his eyes. "Yes, you. Where are you going?"
"To the– uh," Jisung cleared his throat. "To the bathroom. I– uh, dinner didn't really settle well with me..."
Chenle nodded, waving Jisung off. "You know where the bathroom is, right?"
Jisung nodded, getting up fully and quietly opening the door. "Yeah. I do."
He waited until his best friend's eyes fluttered shut before heading out, closing the door and dashing into the hallway that definitely didn't lead to the bathroom.
Jisung's heart beat a mile a minute as he looked over his shoulder every few steps. If he got caught here, he was gonna be deader than the chicken they ate for dinner. And he was pretty sure that thing wasn't even remotely alive.
"Y/n," Jisung whispered as he knocked frantically on your door. "Y/n! It's me! I'm here! Open up already!"
He heard shuffling inside, and he cautiously looked behind him as if something or someone would just pop up out of absolutely nowhere and tell on him to your brother.
"Hm, I'm surprised you didn't chicken out on me," you hummed, opening the door, only for the boy to rush inside, making you chuckle. "That scared of getting caught, huh?"
"If Chenle catches me sneaking in here, you know he's gonna kill me," Jisung groaned, plopping onto your quite familiar bed.
"Why don't we just tell him then?" you inquired, sitting down beside him. "It's not like it's that big of a deal, you know?"
"Not that big of a deal?" Jisung said, giving you a funny look. "There's something called the Bro Code, Y/n. I'm not supposed to be dating anyone without the guys knowing, and sisters are supposed to be off-limits!"
You chuckled, when his eyes meet yours, pressing a small kiss to his forehead. "Oh, who cares about that silly little code of yours. Come on, Jisung. Lele won't mind. I'm sure of it."
"Chenle out of all people would definitely mind," Jisung said, raising a finger up with each statement. "One, you're pretty much a whole year younger than me. Two, I'm dating you without any of the guys knowing. And three, you're Chenle's sister. You're Chenle's sister, Y/n! Of course he'll mind!"
You rolled your eyes at the boy and pulled him up to sit next to you. "Jisung~ I'm telling you! Chenle won't mind~! Besides, the idiot had a crush on Renjun's younger cousin for like a year. He can't say anything."
"That was different," Jisung huffed, crossing his arms stubbornly. "Those were Renjun's cousins, not his sisters, and it's not like they were secretly dating now too. Chenle is so gonna kill me."
"Not if I can help it~" you chimed sweetly, crawling over to press a soft kiss on his lips and leaving him blushing furiously. "I love you~ my brother just has to come accept that. When we end up telling them, that is."
"You really think we should tell them?" Jisung asked you nervously as you climbed onto his lap. "Y- Y/n?"
"I think we should," you whispered, cupping his face with your hands. "If you want to. But I love you, and I don't think I'll be able to hide it from them any longer. You, Jisungie?"
Jisung felt his heart melt at the amount of love dripping from your lips as you uttered his name, the nickname he refused to let anyone else use. His eyes turning into beating hearts when they meet your similar ones.
Your lips curled upwards into a sweet, sweet smile, Jisung subconsciously mirroring it with his own. Jisung shook his head and you giggled, the sound echoing in his ears wonderfully.
Unable to bear the straining fondness for you in his chest any longer, Jisung leans in to press his lips against yours, hearing himself hum when you respond immediately to his kiss.
Your legs wrapped around his torso and you fell onto your bed with a soft thud, breaking the kiss to let out a few giggles.
"Shh!" Jisung tsked as you bit your lip to contain your laughs. "We're gonna get caught if we're this noisy!"
"Okay, okay," you grinned, copying his radiant smile. "Now, shut up and kiss me then."
"Good idea," Jisung chuckled, diving back in to press a deeper kiss to your waiting lips.
You wouldn't say you were the best at kissing, with the slight risk of getting caught always bugging you in the back of your head. But this time, along with a few nervous giggles, you seemed not to care for once, feeling the boy hover over you to press feather-light kisses all over your face and down to your jaw.
"So we're telling them tomorrow, right?" Jisung whispered, eyes locked nervously with yours. "Y/n?"
You nodded and gave him a reassuring smile, pecking his cheek while doing so and making the flush on his cheeks deepen. You chuckled. "You mean later today, Jisungie."
"That means it'll be alright if I do this then," Jisung hummed, trailing kisses back down to your neck.
"If you do what?" you asked curiously, before letting out a gasp when you feel him suck harshly on your neck. "Park Jisung! What was that?!"
"Just... something," Jisung grinned at you mischieviously, kissing the bruising mark lightly before moving to place another one.
"Jisung, if those things leave marks..." you tried to threaten, failing in your act when a little whimper escapes your lips at his actions. "We- we're gonna be in big, big trouble."
"We're already planning on telling them later," Jisung said with sparkling eyes. He leaned down to whisper in your ear, teeth gently grazing your earlobe. "We can have some fun tonight."
"Hey, Y/n?" the door burst open. "Have you seen Ji– oh, there you are."
"Chenle!" the two of you gasped, Jisung immediately climbing off you with burning cheeks.
"Wha- what are you doing here?" you asked, looking at your brother who had a sleepy smirk on his face. "H- hey! Answer my question!"
"I was looking for Jisung," Chenle yawned. "But he wasn't in the bathroom, nor in the gaming room. Decided to check on you if you saw him."
Chenle eyed you up and down and hummed. "Looks like you two've been busy. I knew you just called him oppa for show."
"I– what?!" you shrieked, throwing one of your pillows at your laughing brother. "Shut up!"
"And... you aren't at all mad?" Jisung asked confusedly, looking to Chenle who made kissy faces at you, much to your annoyance.
"Mad?" Chenle repeated, looking to Jisung this time. "For what?"
"For... uh... finding me in here?" Jisung coughed, blush rising back to his cheeks. "You know, with your sister? You don't have the urge to snap my neck in half?"
"What?" Chenle snorted. "Snap your neck in half for making Y/n happy? Look, I'm just a bit disappointed you didn't tell me about it, but I can never get upset at you two idiots for long."
"So..." Jisung bit his lip, looking to you before looking back at Chenle. "It's alright if we're, uh, let's say–"
"Dating?" Chenle finished with an amused grin, seeing his best friend's face flush red. "Yeah, pretty much figured that out. Also, Renjun and Jeno owe me, Hyuck, and Jaemin hotpot now, so–"
"Wait, you bet on us?!" you asked in disbelief, throwing another pillow at your brother. "You bastards!"
"Oops," Chenle snickered, tossing the pillows back onto your bed. "Anyways, I'm gonna go get some sleep, so you two better not do anything more than kissing. I might just take Jisung's PS4 privileges away next time the guys come over."
"My PS4 privileges?!" Jisung gasped. "Why mine?!"
"What, are you planning on getting them taken?" Chenle teased, making Jisung shut his mouth. "And it's yours because you're the older idiot here, and because Y/nnie gets sister privileges."
Jisung lifted his arms up in exasperation before letting them fall to his sides. "I mean, I don't plan on getting them taken now, but I–"
"Jisung, you idiot," Chenle cut the boy off, throwing a pillow to the younger boy's head. "That's my sister you're talking about, watch it."
"Alright, fine," Jisung said with a snicker, seeing Chenle give him a pointed look. "Nothing will happen. I am the responsible one in the relationship here."
"That is very debatable," Chenle said, making a face. "But I'm serious about it, Park Jisung. Try anything on Y/n and I'm kicking you out."
"Gotcha," Jisung grinned, saluting to his best friend who went out the door.
"Also," Chenle smirked, looking at the marks on your neck. "I think you should cover those up before Dad comes home for dinner later. I don't think he'll be as chill as I am about leaving you and Jisung alone in a room together."
"Y- your Dad's coming over for dinner?!" Jisung said, his jaw dropping as he stared at both you and Chenle in disbelief. "Oh my God..."
"Oops," you grinned sheepishly at him. "Forgot to tell you. He wanted to meet up with you all later today..."
"Ah, shit," Jisung groaned, plopping down onto your bed as Chenle laughed out loud. "Chenle, you are given full permission to snap my neck in half now. Please hurry on with it."
"No can do, bro," Chenle snickered, seeing the look of dismay on Jisung's face as he went out, closing the door behind him. "Y/nnie would kill me if I did. Gotta blast~"
"Y/n, will you–"
"No, Jisung," you sighed, shaking your head as you laid down next to him. "I am not snapping your neck in half for you."
"Well, fuck me then."
"Maybe when we're older."
"Y/n, no–"

Don't tell me not to worry
Word count: 1722 words
Requested by @sunwardsss : Can you do comfort 38 and 43 for Chase please? 38: “I’m in the hospital.”43: “You don’t have to sleep here just because I got admitted.”
Pairings: Chase Stokes x Reader; Chase Stokes x Rudy Pankow; Rudy Pankow x platonic!reader
Warnings: Hospitals,seizures,Fluff,bad spelling and grammar
Note from author: so this is actually based on a seizure episode I had. It only happend one time and was caused by strep throat which triggered a reaction in the auto immune disorder (the disorder basically is that instead of my immune system attacking the virus or illness, my immune system attacks my brain causing all sorts of weird things to happen. When I was younger only strep throat triggered a "flare" of increased symptoms ie ocd, anxiety, age regression, mood swings, foggy brain and other things. Sadly the disorder has developed so that I flare with any illness, not just strep) ANYWAYS 😂 I hope you enjoy this Fluff with a tiny pinch of angst. Just a tiny bit if you squint. Ace is my nickname for Chase and I've used it in other blurbs. I just think it's cute. Kinda like how I call Rudy Panky🙃
Chase was wrapping up a day on set, shoving all his belongings into a backpack. He slung the backpack over his shoulder and grabbed his keys ,leaving his casting trailer when his phone started ringing. He just realized he hadn’t heard from you all day. Seeing your name flash across the screen, he stopped in his tracks and answered. “Hey baby girl! I haven’t heard from you all day!” Chase exclaimed as he started to kick a rock around with his foot. “Sorry Ace. Please don’t freak out.I’m totally fine now but I'm in the hospital.” you explained slowly. Chase’s eyes grew large as he starred jogging to his car. "Don't tell me not to worry baby! Where are you? What happened?" Chase asked as he reached his car and fumbled with the keys, trying to move quickly in his panicked state. He swore under his breath as he dropped his keys and put you on speaker phone while he picked up his keys. You heard the rustling on the other end of the phone and grew nervous. "Chase! Babe are you OK? Calm down I promise I'm OK!" Rudy just so happened to be walking to his car when he heard your voice and saw Chase cursing at his car keys. "Hey dude! What's going on? You OK?" Rudy asked as he walked over to Chase. "Rudy! Y/n's in the hospital and I need to...I just can't.." Chase stuttered. Rudy grabbed the keys out of his hands. "I'll drive. You just talk to her." Rudy threw his stuff in the back of Chase's car as he hopped into the drivers seat and Chase ran around to the passenger seat. "OK sorry babe. Rudy is driving cause you're freaking me out. What happened?" Chase asked, running his hand through his wavy hair as Rudy pulled out of the set parking lot. "Thanks for taking care of him Rudy! I swear I'm fine! I'm at St. Marcus hospital. I think it's pretty close to town." Rudy picked up his phone and pulled up directions on his GPS before placing his phone in the cup holder so he could see the map. "No problem hun! Now tell us what happened before Chase pulls his hair out." Rudy answered ."Yeah you're scaring the shit out of me,Baby girl." Chase let out a breathy giggle.
"OK. Well I had my mom over and we were just hanging out watching TV and everything went black. Everything sounded echoey and I tried to open my eyes but it was like i had no control. I started convulsing and got sick. Mom called an ambulance and they brought me to the ER. The Er sent me here so I've been in the ambulance twice today!" You sighs. Chase nervously picked at his lips. "So what does that mean? Like did they run any tests yet?" Chase asked as Rudy broke a few traffic laws to get him to you quicker. "They have me hooked up to all these monitors and I'm going for an MRI tomorrow. The doctor said I most likely had a seizure." You explained as you looked at all the wires and iv lines covering your body. Chase let out a breathe that he didn't know he was holding. "OK baby. We will figure this out! Rudy, how far away are we?" Chase looked over at the blonde with red eyes, on the verge of tears. "It's right up here on the left." Rudy mumbled as he leaned over the steering wheel to make sure it was clear to turn. "OK babe. We just pulled into the parking lot. Where do I go?" Chase asked as he unbuckled his seat belt. "I'm on the 7th floor room 54." You said yawning. Rudy pulled up to the main entrance and stopped the car. "Go ahead man. I'll park the car and meet you up there." Rudy explained as Chase gave him a quick hug and jumped out of the car and jogged to the entrance. "OK I'm getting in the elevator now. Ill see you in 2 seconds OK? I'll be right there!" Chase babbled on as he put the phone up to his ear, taking it off speaker. "So how was work?" You asked trying to distract him a little. "Y/n as much as I wanna tell you about my day, I can't remember shit right now." Chase smirked as you hummed in response.
The elevator dinged and Chase got off the elevator and walked up to the nurses station. He put his phone on his shoulder so he wouldn't look rude for not giving the nurse his full attention. "Hello miss! My girlfriend is here somewhere. Room 54. Her name is y/f/n y/l/n. I can give you her birthday if you want to verify I'm not some weirdo." Chase said talking a mile a minute. The nurse just smiled and got up from her desk. "You must be Chase! She told us you were coming! Said you'd be the tall surfer guy with the chocolate brown eyes. Follow me." The nurse smiled before walking down the hall with Chase on her heels. She got to a door and knocked lightly before opening it. "Hey y/n! Surfer boy is here!" The nurse giggled as Chase walked through the door and the nurse closed it behind him. You were laying in the hospital bed with leads attached to your chest and stomach. You also had an iv in her arm and a couple stickers with wires on her head. Upon seeing Chase, you total lost all your composure and started sobbing. Chase rushed over to your side and gently hugged you close. "It's OK baby. I'm here. I've got you." Chase cooed as tears started to run down his face. You scooted over on the bed making room for Chase to lay down. He carefully made sure all the leads were out of the way and nothing was being pulled before tucking you into his chest. " It was so scary! I didn't know what was happening or why." You sniffed as you snuggled into his chest. "Shhhh. It's OK now. It's over. You're here now ad we will figure out what happened and why. Just relax baby." Chase cooed as he rubbed your back. A soft knock made you jump in your sleepy state. Chase said come in before kissing the top of your head, noticing the jolt of your body at the sudden noise. Rudy entered the room with Chase's backpack on his shoulder. "Hey y/n. How you feeling, sweetheart?" Rudy asked in a soft voice as he crouches down next to the bed. "I'm exhausted and confused as to what happened but I feel ok. Thank you for making sure Ace got here OK. I really appreciate it." You said while reaching out to grab Rudy's hand. "No problem at all! JD is coming to pick me up so Chase's car is here." Rudy explained before putting Chase's backpack down. "I thought you might want your bag." Rudy nods to Chase as he stands up. "Thanks man. I owe you one." Chase bumped his fist to Rudy's. "No you don't! You would have done the same for me. You rest up OK y/n? Don't let this guys puppy energy keep you up." Rudy said pointing between the two of you, which made you let out a small chuckle. "He smells like the ocean and is warm. I think I'll have no trouble falling asleep." You mumbles as you snuggles into Chase's chest again. Chase smirks ,holding you close. Rudy's phone dings and he waves good bye so he doesn't disturb the half asleep girl on Chase's chest.
You awoke from your nap to Chase still at your side. You smile up at him. "Sorry I fell asleep on you. You didn't have to stay." Chase opened his eyes lazily, drawing shapes on your arm with his finger. "No way am I leaving you baby. But since you're awake now. I really need to pee." Chase chuckled as he slowly scooted off the bed and walked to the bathroom on the other side of the room. You turned on the TV and sat up a little, looking at the screens and wires all around you. Chase came out of the bathroom, tossing a paper towel into the trash bin, before grabbing his bag from next to the bed. He pulled out his charger and plugged your phone in before putting it down on the table next to you.As he placed the bag down and sat next to you on the bed, a nurse knocked and entered the room. "Hey you two! I have extra sheets and blankets for you! This chair fold out into a lounger so you both don't have to smush together all night." The nurse explained as she sat the extra blankets and linen on the chair. "Thank you so much!" Chase beamed as the nurse came over to your bed side to check all your vitals. "Is there anything I should look for overnight?" Chase asked the nurse."Well if she has any convulsions or gets sick, press this call button." The nurse said pointing to the red button on the wall. "Other than that, if anything has you worried press the button and we will come make sure everything is OK." The nurse smiled as she finished getting your blood pressure and typed the vitals into her laptop before leaving the room. Chase got up from his seat on the bed and opened up the lounger chair, putting on the different sheets ad blankets. "You know, you don't have to sleep here just because I was admitted." You smile watching his basically throw blankets round until he was satisfied. He came and laid down next to you again before pecking your lips. "I told you ,baby. I'm here with you for everything. We'll figure this out together." Chase cooed as he pulled you closer and watched SpongeBob with you on his chest, running his ringers through your hair. "I love you, Ace." You said before kissing his hand. "I love you more,Baby girl."

Tumblr media
You know those days where you think they are going so well, and suddenly, the worst possible outcome of the day happens?
That was today for me.
After such a great date night, I didn't quite imagine myself walking down my boyfriends street crying.
Or should I say ex-boyfriend.
I trudged down the road, my fists clenched at my sides and head held as low as it could physically go without detaching from my body. I knew that moving in with him was a risky move, but I didn't have much choice. I had been kind of couch surfing for a while and he offered to let me stay at his house. A stable roof over my head.
Or so I thought.
Now here I was, heading in no particular direction with only a small suitcase dragging behind me, a wallet in my hand and a phone in my pocket. I had been walking for about 20 minutes. Turning down random streets, not really paying attention to what was happening. Here's another question for ya.
Have you ever heard of the saying, 'When it rains it pours.'?
Well I have. And I am currently experiencing it. Just as I turned onto what seemed to be the first familiar street I had seen in the past 20 minutes, it started *raining*. But not just sprinkling, no, I wasn't that lucky. It was a total downpour.
I looked up at the green sign above me.
*Oakland Street*
That was Matthew's street!
See, Matthew and I had been friends for a long time. I considered him family. His mom and my mom were great friends, and still are. She visits Marilyn still. But I rarely see him anymore, he's always busy filming which is completely understandable. And now your probably thinking.
*If he was such a good friend, why didn't you ask him for help when you were couch surfing?*
Well the short answer is that I was embarrassed of being basically homeless. I look up to him and I didn't want him thinking I was a lost cause or helpless little girl.
But I had no choice now.
I trudged up to his door in my now soaked clothes. I was still crying, despite me *really* trying to hold it together.
It was 9:38 and I was hoping he was still up. Chances are he was, judging by the many sleepovers we had in the past where he would stay up until 4 am. I knocked softly on the door, backing up a few steps from it. I wiped my face a little, trying to dry it from tears and raindrops, but miserably failing.
The door opened slowly to reveal Matthew in plaid pajama pants and a white tee. As expected, he was holding a cup of coffee, which he quickly set down on a table near the door.
"Y/n?" He tilted his head, not coming out of the doorway. I was sure I looked like quite the mess right now. Soaked clothes, flushed face, messy hair, exactly what I *didn't* want him to see.
"I need a place to stay." I was now looking down, tears welling up in my eyes again from sheer embarrassment. I could feel my fists clenching together, nails sure to leave bruises in my hand.
"Come in, come in." He waved me in. I kept my head down as I walked through his door. "Are you alright? What happened?" I had a problem with Matthew where I just couldn't lie to him, it had been like that all our lives. He was so hard to keep things from, whether it was because he was my best friend or because it was so hard to look into those soft brown eyes and tell a lie.
"I've been living with Ben for a while, because I haven't exactly had enough money to keep up with rent payments... But he just broke up with me." I looked up to see pity written across his face. "Please don't look at me like that. I know it's pitiful." I leaned my head all the way back on his couch, staring at the ceiling.
"I'm not trying to show pity y/n, I'm just worried about you. Why didn't you tell me you were having troubles?" He put his hand on my knee, shaking it for an answer.
"Because I knew you would look at me like that!" I waved my hands around his face.
"Whatever you say. Just tell me what happened." As soon as I got a few words out, I was tearing up again.
*"I just don't understand Ben! I want to understand! You never talk to me anymore." I was gesturing wildly with my hands, something I had picked up from Matthew at a young age. I was trying to get my point across.*
*"I feel like I'm taking care of you y/n! I don't need a child I need a girlfriend!" His eyes held so much hate, much different from the soft green ones I had fallen for a few months ago.*
*"What are you even talking about? I just got a job Ben. I clean the house every week. I cook dinner for you, and I'm paying part of the rent! What more do you want from me?" I felt so confused and defeated, the longer I talked the quieter my words became. "If you want me to leave I will. Is this some sick, twisted way to say you don't love me anymore?" He went silent for a moment.*
*"I don't love you anymore." His arms hung heavy at his side. Are you kidding me?*
*"Did I do something wrong?"*
*"You're just, you're hard to love y/n." What the fuck is that suppose to mean?*
*"Fuck you Ben! I did nothing to you." I ran to our shared room, packing my suitcase and grabbing my charger and wallett from the side table. "You are a real piece of work." I could feel my body aching from mental exhaustion. "I'll be back to get the rest of my stuff another day." I stood by the door, grabbing the handle. "Hopefully if I'm so hard to love, I won't be so hard to get over."*
"And that was the last thing I said to him." Matthews thumb wiped a tear from my cheek. "I'm sorry, I'm such a mess."
"You don't have to apoligize for having emotions y/n. I'm here for you, always." He had first said this to me when we were in middle school, I thought that was the sweetest thing a teenage boy could say. "You can stay here as long as you want, I miss seeing you around anyway." He smiled, pushing some hair behind my ear. I set my head on his shoulder. It was really hard talking to him about this stuff. I think the real reason it was so hard to lie to him, was because it's hard to lie to someone you are *so* in love with.
Matthew seemed to be out of reach my whole life. It wasn't that he was massively popular, or that we were part of different cliques. It was really just because I thought he could never see me as anything more than a friend.
When I was 13, that's when I fell in love with him. I just didn't know it at the time.
*"Y/n this is so great! I can't believe I got the lead!" Spencer was spinning in my swivel chair that sat at my desk.*
* "I've always told you that you we're good at acting. Maybe you'll be an actor?"*
*No way! I'm gonna be a lawyer or something." He nearly fell from the chair laughing, as if the proposition of being an actor was so out of this world. There was a sparkle in his eye that I had never seen before. It was so refreshingly different from the days he had come to me after school, telling me that some assholes were pushing him around.*
*"I'm so happy for you, you're gonna do amazing! You better not leave me when you're famous." I shoved his shoulder playfully. That was truly a joke, but I could feel, deep in my subconscious, I was afraid that maybe he would.*
*"I would never!" And he didn't.*
But I couldn't do anything about how I felt.
"I don't wanna be a burden on you." I had stopped crying, but I was still slumped on the couch like a wet rag, *literally*.
"You could never be a burden on me. Here." He handed me a picture frame from his side table. It was of me and him when were were 22, it was a surprise party I threw for him. "Do you remember this?"
"How could I forget the first time I got you drunk?" And the night I realized I was in love with you *for sure*.
*Matthew had refused to get drunk on his 21st birthday. He was so responsible that it was nearly infuriating. So when he texted me telling me that someone came up to him on the street and offered him a modelling job, I knew I had to throw a party. Just me him and some of our friends.*
*I led him into my house with 4 of our other friends there. There was a seemingly illegal amount of liquor on my dining room table.*
*"Oh no! Y/n no, you're not gonna get me drunk!" He looked down at me disapprovingly. I stuck my bottom lip out, and gave him puppy dog eyes.*
*"Please Matthew? Just one time? I wanna know what kind of drunk you are." My puppy face turned into a slightly mischievous one.*
*"What kind of drunk I am?"*
*"Yeah! Like sad drunk, funny drunk, angry drunk, sleepy, reckless, philosophical. I wanna know!" I giggled, dragging him over to the table and already pouring him a shot.*
*"Fine, just one time."*
*And I did find out what kind of drunk he was.*
*A lovey drunk.*
*"Brian. You are the coolest person I know!" Matthew slurred, leaning over to our mutual friend. "And Katie is the funniest." He pointed to Katie. "And you! You are my favorite person in the whole world, you know that?" He was now laying in my lap, his head looking up at me.*
*"You are a mess." I laughed, patting his cheek.*
*"I am not a mess! I'm totally coherent! I love you so much! Look at you!" He sat up, kissing my cheek. I'm glad he was drunk because I didn't want him to remember the dark shade of red my cheeks turned afterward.*
*I loved this man, and it was kicking me in the ass.*
"A lovey drunk you called me." He chuckled as I gripped the frame.
"Do you remember all the things you said that night?" I half smiled, remembering the kiss om my cheek.
"Not really, to this day I live in blissful ignorance."
"Well today is the day you know." I giggled, crossing my legs on the couch and facing him.
"Wait! Before you tell me of all the dumb things I did that night, let me get you some dry clothes." He stood from the couch, heading to his room.
"Thank you!"
He came back holding and NYU hoodie and some sweatpants. I snatched them from his arms with a big smile and headed to the bathroom to change.
The only time before that I had worn his clothes was freshman year after an asshole from school pushed me in the mud while we were on our way to study at Matthew's.
*Matthew and I were walking side by side on the walkway, talking about random things.*
*"If you do get a cat, what are you gonna name it?" Matthew asked, keeping his eyes forward.*
*"I think I would name it Leo. After Leonardo DiCaprio, he's a dreamboat." He looked at me with an eyebrow raised.*
*"Really? That dork?"*
*"Says you! You're a huge dork!" I nudged him into the road with a laugh.*
*Just then I heard loud and fast footsteps coming from behind us. Suddenly large hands were shoving me into the nearest mud puddle. I gasped at the cold liquid that was soaking through my jeans and yellow shirt.*
*"Nice outfit y/n!" The asshole laughed, running down the sidewalk.*
*"Fuck you Ricky!" Matthew threw up his middle finger and helped me out of the mud. "Come on, I'll give you some clothes at my house."*
*When we arrived he handed me sweatpants and a Nirvana shirt. I changed into it and Matthew probably laughed for 10 minutes straight. I was pretty short around that time, and Matthew had just had his growth spurt. To make a long story short, I was swimming in those clothes.*
I was now staring at myself in the mirror, wishing I had the chance to get use to the feeling of wearing his clothes.
"Okay! Time to remember an embarrassing night Gube!" I shouted, feeling far better now that I was in warm clothes. I plopped onto the seat, scooting next to Matthew. "Alright. Now what do you wanna know first?" I set my chin in the palm of my hand.
"So, what exactly is your definition of a lovey drunk?" He mimicked my position.
"A drunk who is very kind. They are constantly complimenting everyone around them and expressing their love and fondness. Can even turn a sad or angry drunk to a happy one." I shrugged.
"Okay, fair enough. What did I say that night?" I smiled evily.
"Ok, well, you told Brian that he was the coolest person ever. And Katie was labelled the funniest ever. You gave Mallory ten bucks for all the advice she had given you in the past. And you hugged Alex for around 5 minutes straight." The image of Matthew swaying with Alex was clear in my memory like it happened yesterday. He threw his head back him laughter, his face reddening with slight embarrassment.
"Did I say anything to you?" He stared into my eyes like he was going to find the words there before they came from my mouth. I rubbed my hands together.
"Uh, yeah. You told me that I was your favorite person in the whole world." He smiled at that. "And then I told you that you were a mess. But you informed me, so graciously, that you were *not a mess* and *totally coherent*. Then proceeded to say 'I love you so much! Look at you!' And you kissed my cheek." I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks, I was now looking down at my hands.
"Well you are my favorite person in the world," He tilted my chin up with his hand. "still. Maybe I'm an honest drunk."
"What's that suppose to mean?" I cocked my head to the side.
"Maybe I'm an honest drunk who was just sober enough to be too nervous to kiss you on the lips?" It came out as a question, I wasn't sure if he was genuinly asking a question or he was saying that that is *exactly* what happened. I'm hoping for the latter.
"What do you-" I was interrupted by his hand grabbing my chin.
"Just shut up and kiss me." He brought my lips to his, and of course I didn't hesitate at all to kiss back.
I ran my hands through those curls that I loved so much. His hands gripped my hips as I leaned into him more, I was so afraid that this was going to be a dream.
Like it was so many other times.
As he pulled away I kept my eyes closed, still hoping that it actually happened.
"Hey, are you okay?" He patted the side of my face lightly.
"Yeah, more than okay. How long?"
"Since we were 20. You?"
"Sometime in middle school." I snickered.
"Well either way, far too long." He put his finger under my chin again, bringing me into another kiss.
*Thanks Ben*

"No. I'm not going to take it. It's going to make me sleepy. Plus it tastes like soap."
The muffled voice of Yukino came from beneath the covers. The IV drip tube poked out from the ball of sheets in the hospital bed.
Shuusuke sighed at his little brother's stubborn actions. Good thing he came prepared for this. "Yukino. Kisshouin-san wrote you a letter."
The ball of sheets shifted, and Yukino's head popped out from beneath the covers, his doe peering up at Enjou in surprise. "...Reika-oneesama?"
Shuusuke held up a small pink envelope with "Yukino-kun" written in neat handwriting in the center. Yukino reached for it when Shuusuke swept it back out of reach with a gentle smile.
"..." Sullenly, Yukino obediently drank the medicine. Watching as he finished it, Shuusuke patted his head and handed him a glass of water with a piece of candy to take care of the medicine's bitter aftertaste. Yukino popped the candy in his mouth with one hand and eagerly held out the other, looking up at Shuusuke expectantly. Shuusuke handed him the letter and watched as his little brother opened it earnestly.
In the beginning, Shuusuke was pretty surprised to see him get along so well with an older girl. Usually, Yukino was not so nice. He was a really smart kid for his young age, and many older girls had been trapped by his soft, harmless facade only to be humiliated and insulted beyond repair. But recently, Shuusuke found that with Kisshouin, Yukino seemed to genuinely act like his appearance.
Shuusuke could see why. Kisshouin clearly didn't have any ulterior motives when speaking to Yukino. Older girls usually saw Yukino as a means to an end. If they weren't patronizing then they were obsequious, obviously trying to use the younger brother to get to the older one. But when it came to Kisshouin… if anything, it was as if her treatment of the two brothers was reversed. In the ten years of knowing her, the very first time that Kisshouin started a one-on-one conversation with Shuusuke that lasted longer than one minute happened to be because Yukino. It was a dreadfully humbling experience. Yukino has sure put up with a lot these past few years.
In any case, no matter how devilish he was to other people, in the end, Yukino really was still a little boy, and Shuusuke was simply grateful that he was able to be just a normal, cute kid with someone, even if it was a girl who clearly didn't put Shuusuke in her eyes.
He watched peacefully as his little brother's eyes happily flew across the letter.
"Kisshouin-san really cares about Yukino."
Yukino shot a glance over at him, "What? Is oniisama jealous?" And then he continued reading his letter.
"And don't think that I don't realize you told her to write this to make me obediently stay in the hospital."
Shuusuke smiled wryly. When he could tell Yukino was finished reading, he continued, "Well, Yukino seems to really like Kisshouin-san. I thought maybe you would listen if she asked you personally."
Yukino smiled, happy from finishing Kisshouin's letter. "Yeah, I do like her. Reika-oneesama is really nice and she's not just pretending. Do you want to read it, oniisama? I'll let you read it, since you asked her to write this for me. I'm going to the bathroom."
Yukino handed the letter to Shuusuke as he climbed out of bed and grabbed at his drip stand to roll it into the bathroom in the room.
Shuusuke blinked at the letter in his hands. Although he didn't ask to read it, he was honestly pretty curious. What did she say to Yukino to cheer him up, anyways?
The letter was not very long, and it fit neatly on the cute stationary decorated with little birds and vines.
Yukino-kun,
Enjou-sama told me that you are admitted to the hospital. I am worried for your health. Your family must be even more worried than me. I hope you take care of your body because many people care about you very much, and we want for you to quickly become well again. With that said, I hope you listen to the doctor so that you can leave the hospital soon. I know that sometimes it is really hard to do something you don't like. But experts have their reasons for their advice.
Recently I have been learning to make desserts from a friend. To be honest, my dessert-making skill is much farther behind my cooking. I think I know what to do when I try to be creative and individual with my own ideas, but actually, my friend tells me that the greatest mistake in baking is not following from the recipe. This is completely different from cooking, where not following the recipe is not that big of a deal. When I listened to my friend, I made a dessert more delicious than anything I'd ever made in my life! I realized at that moment, ah, so that is the difference between a normal person and an expert. With that said, I hope you understand the importance of listening to experts such as your doctor.
When you come back, you'll be able to see your other friends and me in the Petite Pivoine salon again.
Wishing you a quick recovery,
Kisshouin Reika
By the time Yukino returned from the bathroom, Shuusuke had already finished reading the letter and had set it on the tray over the foot of Yukino's bed.
"So, what did you think of Kisshouin-san's letter? Are you going to listen to her when she asks to you listen to to doctor's advice?"
"I guess." Yukino sat at the foot of the bed and picked up the letter again, folding it and carefully putting it back in its envelope before he flopped back into bed, pulling the covers over himself. "The way she asks me to listen to the doctor is just less irritating than when you ask me to listen to the doctor."
Shuusuke helped put the covers over Yukino.
"I wonder why Reika-oneesama is learning to make desserts." Yukino looked at Shuusuke, his eyes widening. "Valentine's Day is coming up, isn't it? I wonder what Reika-oneesama is making…"
"Hmm. Who knows."
"I wonder if she's learning to bake something for the person she likes..."
"Hmm. Who knows."
Yukino's eyes widened like big dark marbles as he looked at Shuusuke.
"You're curious, too, aren't you oniisama? Ne, ne, what kinds of sweets has oniisama received from Reika-oneesama on Valentine's day?"
"Actually, I've never received anything from Kisshouin-san on Valentine's Day."
"Ehhhhh!"
Shuusuke thought about how in the ten years since he's known Kisshouin Reika, she has never given anyone Valentine's chocolates. Year after year, the whole school secretly held its breath in wonder at who the Goddess Kali of Suiran would afflict with her attentions. And year after year the answer was an anti-climatic… nobody.
Kisshouin Reika never gave anybody at Suiran chocolates for Valentine's day. Him and Masaya were not excluded.
Ah, wait, that's not right. Last year she gave courtesy chocolates to the student council president. In fact, Shuusuke was the one who pointed this out to Masaya... Even though she had done it in secret, for Kisshouin Reika to give chocolates to a guy at Suiran was no small matter and in the end the word leaked anyways. Because she had done it pretty secretively, there were no massive rumours, but the thing about secrets was that they always spread. Shuusuke heard about it from the more low-key sources.
Back then, he had remembered how she seemed to have had a crush on the same student council president back in middle school, but nothing had happened even after all these years. For nothing to have happened all this time, what other conclusion was it other than unrequited love? He hinted at this story of camaraderie to Masaya in hopes of inspiring him to move on with his life. Unrequited love was not the end of the world. Just look at Kisshouin-san.
Who knew that the whole thing would have worked out so beautifully at graduation. Tomoe Senju actually had a girlfriend! And he called Kisshouin Reika a sister in front of everybody. Masaya was so moved by Kisshouin's composure and courage. Shuusuke felt like he was watching Masaya watch a romance movie. Out of all the times that he's taken advantage of Kisshouin, Shuusuke felt most proud about the way that one turned out. Witnessing the way Kisshouin "handled" the student council president's "public rejection" totally inspired Masaya and brought him back from depression. He completely recovered from Yurie's rejection after that.
Yukino's marble eyes seemed to glitter in wonder as he looked up at the handsome young man sitting beside the bed.
"Wow, even though every year it seems like you get chocolates from every single girl we know, there is actually one girl who has never given you any chocolates… not even once! Hehhh..."
Yukino did not look or sound sympathetic at all with the the corner of his lips twitching upwards.
"That reminds me... when we first met and I introduced myself, Reika-oneesama made a 'geh!' face when she heard my name, like she was really saddened to hear that Oniisama was my oniisama... I thought that maybe she hated you!"
"Hmm. I sure hope Kisshouin-san doesn't hate me. But if she does hate me, then that's unfortunate."
"No, no. I don't think Reika-oneesama hates you, Oniisama! She probably doesn't even think about you at all."
"..." Shuusuke's expression remained serene as he stayed silent.
Yukino looked at his face and suddenly giggled. Shuusuke joined in with a few chuckles. For a short moment, they laughed together.
"Ahahaha…"
"Hahaha…"
"..."
"..."
Yukino turned over in bed. "Don't worry, oniisama. Maybe one day Reika-oneesama will also remember to give you chocolates, too."
"..."
"Oh yeah, oniisama, could you find me something to write with? I want to write Reika-oneesama a reply."
"...Alright. I'll go find you some paper."
The next morning, Shuusuke thanked Kisshouin for her letter to Yukino. She looked really happy that it helped. Yeah, it was really useful. She was pretty humble.
"Yukino said that it was fun to read about making sweets."
"I could only think of unimportant things to say… well..."
Hm, there it was. Shuusuke could always hear the instant whenever it sounded like Kisshouin was trying to wrap up a conversation and escape. Usually, he'd just let her go. But for some reason, he didn't feel like it this time. The words Yukino said yesterday skipped around his mind, reviving an old and annoying itch.
"So Kisshouin-san is making sweets. Could it be that on Valentine's day..."
"Umm…" He watched as Kisshouin's eyes lowered, her cheeks blushing very lightly. He could imagine her cheeks must have been warm to the touch now. "Yes..."
"Hn."
It'd be a lie to say that he never expected any chocolates from Kisshouin Reika. It wasn't to say that he wanted her chocolates or anything like that. In fact, the idea of actually eating Kisshouin Reika's handmade sweets seemed like something that belonged to the realms of extreme adventures and chemically dangerous thrill-seeking. Although, whether or not Reika's chocolates are edible, Shuusuke wouldn't want to eat them anyways, as he didn't have a sweet tooth, but...
...He still expected to get them.
It was about logic. If a girl knew Enjou Shuusuke, then she would give him chocolates on Valentine's day. (The same applied to Kaburagi Masaya.) Three of five of chocolates would be honmei. That was the rule. He knew it was a very unique and extraordinary rule. Certainly not every boy in the world had the ridiculous privilege of receiving a mountain of chocolates and sweets from all the girls he knew. But, that was his experience.
In accordance with his life experience, it was natural to expect chocolates from a girl he knew when he's always received chocolates from every girl he knew. With no exceptions.
Except this one.

being a babie with mazzello | hc
a/n : HIIII welcome back to my writing! I miss all of ya so much :-] the other day i was hit with this thought of just being ababie arpund joe so here's a hc about that. Also, i wanna thank y'all for sticking with me when i was unactive several days ago...it means a lot to me!
also, i'm Chloe! Figured i will reveal my name after a while. People call me coco or cookie sometimes, so...let's be friend, i guess?
anyway, enjoy this hc!! ♡
•••
so we all know about the virus, honestly i think i'm the latest person to write about this
but joe freaking mazzello 'course cannot stay sane that long without you, his 24/7 childhood best friend
so he asked you to move in with him when the whole quarantine thingy started
"Come on!!! You will have the world-famous, fanfastic dino-shaped pancakes by Chef La Mazzello every morning, (Y/N)."
that was his effort to persuade you
of course you said yes
"Fine, but it's only because of the pancakes."
no (Y/N) we ALL know it's because you're head over heels for him!!!
moving-in day
it's not the first time you've stayed at his house
but you were pretty nervous with the idea of living with him, everyday, him seeing you without any makeup, or anything
ESPECIALLY your habits of cleaning products...you tend to use baby shampoo and soaps
when you put your johnson baby wash in his bathroom, Joe frowned
"Whose baby is staying here?."
you stuttered, "uhh...it's weird, but, it's mine...dONT LAUGH OKAY JOE-"
too late
joe's dying on the floor
(((((bathroom floor))))
"(Y/N) yOU'RE AN ADULT."
you tickled him as an escape of your embarassment, feeling shy
"OKAY STOP STOP I'M SORRY!," he laughed
then ruffled your hair
"Even if you use dog shampoo, i'd still.."
you freezed
what's he going to say?!
joe took a moment before finishing his sentence
"....m-make yOU DINO-SHAPED PANCAKES! come on, (Y/L/N)! let's unpack your clothes after this."
then he went out of the bathroom
leaving you
red
and possibly close to having a sheer heart attack
grocery shopping with joe
on some days, joe (and you) is waAY to lazy to make efforts to eat
but at the same time you guys are hella hungry
so you guys order the classic chinese take-outs, or pizza maybe
but also in some days, you will go out grocery shopping with him and buy ingredients for dinner (with masks of course, wear your masks everyone!!!)
joe will grab cooking ingredients and other products
like milk
dairy-free milk because we all don't want joe screaming
anyways
Joe also grabs some chips
and snacks
then there's you grabbing baby snacks
gerber
happy baby
teethers cookies
all the good stuff
"Why..are you???????"
"Stop shaming my snacking behaviour!!! It's good okay,,," you said then running into another aisle
leaving mazzello
grinning
like that joe smile we all love
"Gosh, such a cutie..." he mumbled, then pushing the cart, following you
also he paid for the groceries even though you insisted to pay
ugh i love him
dinner time with joe
joe's not actually the worst italian chef
but he does need constant guiding and sometimes can be sloppy
you guys were cooking baked spaghetti that night, and thankfully it went okay
joe almost spilled the whole sauce from the pan but luckily you were there to stop him
so while waiting for the food to cook
joe decided to play some music off of his phone
and guess what he played
nope
not queen songs
BABY SHARK
the first verse came and you were laughing out loud
"Joe what the fuck???? What is thiiiis?."
joe is already bopping his head and throwing some dance moves
drop it like it's hoooooot-
"Aw come on baby (Y/L/N), bABY SHARK DOO DOO DO DO-"
so you joined him
AND YOU KNOW THE DANCE MOVES
yeah the clapping hands thingy
you guys were dancing so hard you both were sweating
Joe picked you up with his arms
you were a laughing mess and tried to get out of his grip when you both fell into his couch
you on top of him
and him under you
"....joe?"
for a moment you thought joe is going to kiss you
and he reached you cheek
DING!
the oven dings
joe shuffled and you quickly stood up
"I'll check it!," you said while running to the kitchen
SIS your heart was POUNDING because was he going to kiss you????
joe was also a blushing mess
"mazzello you dumb...," he whispered while rubbing his face
then chased you into the kitchen
dinner went a bit awkward
because you both are dumb dorks
but it went over and you guys washes dishes together then got ready for bed
bedtime!!!!
Joe does have a guest room in his house
but he said that the room is currently unavailable
under the following reasons of
"it's messy," and "it has a lot of stuff in it!." "my room's more spacious."
he really just want to have you with him in his bed (Y/N) come on!!!!
so you agreed to sleep with him
because of course you also can't wait to cuddle with him
ehm okay moving on so
you changed into your pajama
and it has gudetama patterns
joe chuckled when he saw you after changing your clothes
"I swear (Y/N), you're a baby trapped in an adult's body."
you pull out your tongue playfully then joined him
joe was scrolling his instagram, and you were checking out your emails
joe then pulled you closer to him
"You're cold, you need more warmth from me," he said, as an excuse
you smiled and rested your head on his shoulder
you did not realize it, but you were feeling sleepy and slowly you lulled off on his chest
joe waS SO hAPPY AND IS A BLUSHING MESS I TELL YOU
because this is exactly the thing he loved the most about you
the domestic side of you, your bare face and your sleepy figure
he turned off the lights as careful as possible
he don't want his baby to wake up
he cuddled you closer and realized
this is what he wanted to see before he's off to the clouds
so let's all hope the man will gain the courage to ask you out
because he can't wait to give you
his baby
more warmth every night :-)
