You and Aj have been dating for 5 months. It's been amazing. You are a racer and this year you got signed with the leading team in F1, Redbull. You were overjoyed and had your first race in a week. You invited Aj and told him to get his friends along as well. 

A week later

The first GP was in Baku, and you had just reached. You went to your hotel and were planning to have lunch with Aj and his friends. You had never met them but you had watched a few of their videos when Aj showed you their channel, and you thought they were hilarious. Aj texts you to come downstairs. You go to the reception and you see Aj standing. “AJ!!” You shout and run over to hug him. You hadn't met in a week since you were so busy with practice. “Y/N, I missed you soo muchh” He says hugging you back. “Are we ready to go?” You ask about the lunch. “I just need to go to my room and wait for the guys to get ready too” He replies “Okayy, im just gonna go get ready as well” You both go into the elevator, Aj gets off on the 3rd floor, where u see his friends, wave slightly before the elevator goes to your floor.

Aj goes to his friends. “Your telling me you pulled her??” Kenny asks. “NO CHANCE MAN BROS LYING” Chunkz shouts louder than expected. “Yeah??” Aj replies confused to all the commotion. “Aj, you know your my friend right? Like we live together and im so close to you, but i call bullshit” niko says. “Aint no way shes your girlfriend, shes too pretty” sharky added on. “I cant believe this man. HOW DO YOU LOT NOT BELIEVE ME?” Aj gets upset. “Nice one bro, its gonna be a great video for you” Chunkz laughs and the rest join in. “I dont even care, just go get ready in 10 minutes for lunch” Aj says as he shakes his head and goes to his room.

10 mins later

All the guys meet up downstairs and are waiting for y/n. “Sooooo your “girlfriend” isn't here yet huh aj?” Niko says, air-quoting girlfriend. “She's coming omg guys believe me she's my girlfriend,” Aj says getting sick of his friends. “Right right we totally believe you bro,” Sharky says sarcastically. Then y/n comes out of the elevator “AJ!! Here!” you shout at him. “Y/N!!” He says back as you walk towards him and his friends. “Guys this is y/n my girlfriend, and y/n this is Niko, Chunkz, Sharky, and Kenny,” He said pointing at each one. “Hey guys, im glad I can finally meet you all!” you say while smiling. All the guys stand with their jaws dropped. “SEE I TOLD YOU!” Aj shouted at them. “What?” you say confused. One of them, you remember as Chunkz says “We saw you in the elevator before, and since youre soo pretty, we just assumed Aj was making this whole thing up as a prank, and we didn't believe him at all… Clearly we were wrong”. You laugh while Aj stands there pouting. “But why?” Kenny asks. “Cause y/n is beautiful, kind and ambitious af?” Aj says like it's the most obvious thing. “No I get that, i was wondering why she would choose you, she's literally a goddess-looking F1 driver, and you're a rat,” He says and all the boys laugh. “Awww, he may be a triangle, but he's a cute triangle” You reply which gets then laughing even more. Aj smacks your arm as you giggle. “She's funny too?? Damn Aj you got nothing over her” Niko says as all of you walk out to go to lunch.

the gentle patter of rain against the café windows made the world outside seem distant and blurry, while the warmth inside wrapped around you like a cozy blanket. you sat nestled into his side, his arm draped protectively over your shoulders, holding you close as you leaned against him, soft scent of coffee hung in the air, and the café buzzed quietly with the sound of conversations and the occasional clink of mugs.

you sighed softly, the rain’s rhythm combined with his warmth making you feel completely at ease. he looked down at you, a smile tugging at his lips. “you feeling alrighr, baby?” he asked, his voice a low murmur.

“mhm,” you nodded, your head resting against his chest. “i could fall asleep right here.”

his hand gently rubbed your arm, slow and steady, sending waves of comfort through you. “then go ahead,” he whispered, his fingers brushing lightly over your skin. “i’ve got you.”

you closed your eyes, feeling the soft rise and fall of his chest beneath you. there was something so safe about being wrapped up in his arms, especially with the rain falling outside, making the world feel smaller. his heart beat steadily under your ear, gently bringing you closer to sleep.

it didn’t take long for the gentle rhythm of the rain and his heartbeat to pull you under, and soon, you were dozing off, completely relaxed in his embrace.

sometime later, you stirred awake, blinking sleepily as you realized you had dozed off against him. his hand was still resting on your arm, his thumb brushing back and forth in lazy circles, as if he hadn’t moved the entire time. you lifted your head slightly, drowning in his soft doe puppy looking eyes.

“how long was I out?” you asked quietly, rubbing your eyes.

“not long,” he replied, smiling down at you. he gently brushed a strand of hair away from your face and kissed your forehead. “you looked so peaceful, baby. i didn’t want to wake you.”

and with the rain softly falling outside, the cozy café around you, and his steady heartbeat in your ear, you couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to be.

you cheeks warmed slightly, and you sat up a little, suddenly self-conscious. “i fell asleep on you in public,” you mumbled.

he let out a soft laugh, his eyes crinkling in that way that made your heart skip a beat. “awww why are you embarrassed ” he said, squeezing your hand. “I like it when you feel comfortable enough to rest on me. You looked adorable sleeping on my shoulder”

you tried to hide your smile, feeling your cheeks flush even more. “you didn’t mind?”

“why would i,” he replied softly. “i love it when you relax around me. it makes me happy, baby, knowing you trust me enough to lean on me like that.”

the way he said it, so earnestly and with that gentle smile, made your heart swell with affection. you squeezed his hand in return, leaning in a little closer. “you always know just what to say.”

he chuckled, lifting your hand to his lips and pressing a soft kiss to your knuckles. “i just want you to feel taken care of.”

you heart melted a little more at that, and you cuddled back into his side, letting the world outside the window fade away once more. his arm wrapped around you again, and you felt the warmth of his presence surrounding you, making you feel safe and loved.

“lets just stay here a little longer,” you murmured, resting your head back against his chest.

“as long as you want,” he whispered, his lips brushing against your temple. he tightened his hold on you just a little, making sure you knew he wasn’t going anywhere.

You were almost certain that you were invited just so it wouldn’t look bad on them by not inviting you, you had hoped it was an opportunity for them to get to know you and bring you closer to them. However, as always, you were the one just existing next to them.

Eventually, you moved away from the large group and sat on a chair away from them, sipping your drink and keeping to yourself, when all of a sudden you heard someone next to you.

“You know it’s rude to be on your phone at a party right?”

You jumped and quickly put your phone in your pocket as Florence smiled gently at you, letting you know she was playing around. She was of course invited to the party but you were convinced she wasn’t coming, but she was just late.

Florence was one of the few people you really got along with, more so than everyone else. Unfortunately, though, you didn’t see her that often and despite you putting your all into acting, you just felt miserable whenever you were on set without her.

“Flo!” You said excitedly, jumping up and hugging her. The blonde chuckled and hugged you tightly, even picking you up and swaying you gently. “I didn’t think you were coming!”

She smiled and put you down. “I got the time wrong.” She chuckled. “I’m glad yet surprised you’re here, I thought you didn’t like parties very much.”

You bit your lip, you hadn’t yet been open with how you actually felt on set with the others. You told her that you didn’t like large crowds, which was partially true, but you hated feeling left out more than anything.

“I don’t… I just hoped that people would like me more I guess.” You told her vaguely, stepping back with a sigh.

“Wait… what do you mean?” She asked, putting her hands on your shoulders to show you know you’ve got her full attention.

“I uh… I wish you were always on set, otherwise I don’t exist unless I’m filming.” You admitted quietly, briefly looking over at the group who were still chatting and laughing.

“Oh Y/N, why didn’t you tell me?” Florence asked gently and pulled you into another hug, swaying you gently as you melted into the feeling. Her fingers gently fluttered up and down your back in hopes of relaxing you.

“I didn’t want to be a bother, you’re busy anyway so you wouldn’t have wanted me to be miserable around you.” You replied, earning you a side squeeze which made you squeal in surprise.

“Hey, you would never be a bother to me, I want to make sure you feel wanted and welcomed where you work.” She told you, shuffling to the seat you were sat on earlier and casually sitting down with you on her lap. “I think I need to show the others how cute you are.” She whispered in your ear before shaking her fingers into your ribs as she had her arms wrapped around you.

You yelped in surprise, squealing with giggles as you pulled at her arms. You knew Florence was the type to instigate something like this but you never thought you’d be her victim.

“HEHEHEHEY!” You giggled out, squirming as you tried to free your trapped self, you fell back further into her arms, making her fingers flutter towards your belly now.

“Awww you’re sensitive!” The actress teased, her fingers spidering and skittering all over your belly now. “This would be one way to get everyone to love you!” She teased.

“Nohohoho please…” you replied between giggles, you honestly wouldn’t know how to feel if everyone else knew you were sensitive since you were convinced they didn’t like you anyway. Plus Florence was the only one you trusted enough to do something like this to you.

Florence heard the hesitancy in your voice and nodded. “Alright, I’ll just cheer you up from here then, as you’re still not escaping me.” She smirked and now moved down to squeeze up and down your thighs towards the spot above your knees, causing you to squeal and kick out.

“Not thehehehere!” You whined, trying to pull your arms free to push her hands away, but you were still trapped, your anxiety slowly being freed the more you were giggling.

“But this is such a giggly spot!” She teased, focusing on the dreaded spot above your knees, grinning as you broke into giggly laughter, shaking your head helplessly.

“I don’t cahahahare just mohohohove!” You shrieked out, accidentally kicking her shin as you thrashed.

“Hey, rude!” She gasped and blew a raspberry on your neck before moving her hands so you were technically free but she dug her fingers under your arms instead, making you squeal and slam your arms against your sides.

“You’re silly, you’ve just trapped me now!” She grinned and kept digging in, smiling as you kept cackling with laughter before managing to roll off her lap.

“Oops, are you ok?” She asked and offered you a hand up, which you took and stood up, nodding.

“That was… freeing, thank you.” You smiled and hugged her tightly, which she quickly returned fondly.

“How are you feeling? Would you be willing to come with me towards the group?” She asked you gently and offered you her hand.

You bit your lip, nodding hesitantly and taking her hand so you could go towards the group.

You were surprised when they welcomed you with open arms, they felt awful that they had pushed you out, but it turned out that you fitted right in, you just needed some gentle encouragement from the co-star you looked up to.

Summary - You and Rhysand unwind the best way you know how: making each other laugh.

Warnings - Mostly fluff :D

The House of Wind was filled with laughter, from both you and Rhysand at the same time.

You both were wrapped in each other’s arms on the floor of the living room, empty glasses of wine next to you on the coffee table as the fire in the fireplace was roaring with life and warmth.  Yet you two were not even worried about the fire or the small licks of cold air coming in from the mountains, or the small stack of papers that Rhsyand had to look over and sign.  

Rhysand did start this whole debacle: a tickle fight in the middle of you two talking about your days.

It’s been some time since you two were alone together, both of your schedules were busy for the last two weeks and you barely saw one another.  Even waking up in the morning and going to bed at night, only a small murmur or a gentle, “Love you” was heard on both sides.  Of course, it would happen every once in a while since he had a Court to run and you were helping train some of the Illyrian soldiers with Cassian up at the camp.  You missed the company of your mate, holding him close to you when you two would be in bed, hearing his voice against your ear as you cuddled on your favorite loveseat couch in the private library, or even holding his hand in your won as you two read your separate books side by side out on the balcony.  Neither one of your were thinking about your duties or jobs for Night Court, you two were simply mates you loved each other and adored one another.  

Perhaps you both needed to make up for lost time and once your nights lined up when you both were free to have a private dinner together at the House of Wind, the pair of you took it instantly.  However, neither you nor Rhysand thought you would end up on the floor together laughing so hard your sides were hurting and your faces were red. 

“Cauldron, I haven’t laughed that hard in some time,” Rhsyand said with a sigh as he was finally calming down after several long moments of pure laughter from his lips.  You were giggling, hiding your face in your hands as he went on, “I needed a good laugh after dealing with Tamlin in Spring Court,”

“You started it, you know,” You countered at him, your giggles were dying down as well as Rhysand’s while you two were sprawled out side by side.  His wings were even realized along his backside, touching your arm and hip as he was shifting over to lay on his side and peer over at you.  You saw the warmth in his violet eyes, the glow of the fire along his tan skin, and the smirk he had on his face that would make you melt every time.

“You looked tense, dear,” he reminded you as his fingers were tracing the bare shoulder that was exposed since you shrugged off your jacket as soon as you came into the House of Wind, “I felt it on our bond, you needed to simply laugh and feel at ease.  Surely those brutes from the camp went easy on you,”

“Absolutely not,” You answered as you rolled your shoulders, Rhsyand slipping an arm around your waist to make you roll on top of him in a squeal. You went willingly, landing on top of him and seeing him smile wide at you as kept talking, “They don’t go easy on me, even if my mate is the High Lord of Night Court.”

“We can still have an official mating ceremony, you know,” he said to him sweetly, reaching up to touch your face with his spare finger and trace your nose delicately, “Make you the official High Lady,”

That made you roll your eyes as you clicked your tongue, “We’ve talked about this: I don’t want the title of High Lady.  At least not for now,”

“Ah, so maybe later on?” Rhysand asked playfully as you chuckled, “Honestly, it doesn’t bother me that you don’t wish to be considered High Lady, though I know you have earned that title.  You and I are mates, that's all that matters to me,”

“Me too,” You hummed in return, peering deep into his eyes as his fingers were now tracing your jawline delicately and with precision, “I don’t consider myself as High Lady material anywho,”

That alone made Rhysand’s eyebrow rise up, “Says who?”

“Says a lot of people, that’s who,” You answered.

“They mean nothing,” he reminded you carefully as you two were still smiling at one another, Rhysand holding you close while the fire was still roaring on in the fireplace, “All I matter about is you and your well-being, my love.  The rest can be cursed off to The Cauldron for all I care,”

“Don’t speak like that,” You lightly scolded him as you placed a hand over his mouth.  You felt him smile against your hand, his lips along your palm made you shiver as you stared at him deeply in his eyes,” You should care a little bit about the opinions of others, especially when they care about you being their leader,”

Rhysand studied your eyes and knew you were speaking the truth.  As carefree as he was time, you knew deep down he cared for his people and Night Court.  It held a special place in his heart and in his mind when he would talk negotiations and treaty lines, he would never dare turn over his Court, let alone Velaris, for anything or anyone.  

Carefully, he pulled your hand away from his lip, gently pressing a soothing kiss along the palm and making your heart skip a beat.

“Thank you for saying that, my love,” he praised you, leaning up to kiss the corner of your mouth as you grinned, “I will never again doubt my own worth, all thanks to you,” 

“That’s what I’m here for,” You reassured him as he kissed your lips lightly.  As he was kissing you, you moved your hands down to his side without him realizing what you were doing, distracting him as you felt his ribs along your finger through the material of his dress shirt.

“And just for doubting yourself…” You hummed against his lips, you then pulled away quickly and tickled him before he could stop you.  He laughed, the sound alone made you beyond happy and he tickled you back in retaliation.  Once again, the House of Wind was filled with the sounds of laughter and joy.

Which was all you and Rhysand would ever need in your life together.

Awww, this is such a cute ask, anon! S: After a few of these interruptions, they'd give up, staring into your eyes... right before launching themselves at you, striking back, making sure there is no space left on your skin deprived of a gentle kiss. R: They'd attempt to finish saying what they wished to say, very patient with you; however, they'd slowly quiet down as they realise that you're not going to stop. "You want something else?" they'd ask, making sure to understand what you really want. A: You would likely manage to playfully annoy them, get them a little grumpy, hearing them groan about your lack of attention and the uselessness of their explanations. However, the tantrum wouldn't last long - a few more kisses, and they'd get distracted from the entire world, their mind now fully occupied by you. V: Oh, they'd find it so amusing. Likely, they'd try and make their answers vaguer and vaguer, switching languages mid-sentence, making their speech as confusing as possible to balance out your mischief.
