+ the very pale skin – i believe he is UNLESS he's something else entirely (in which case he might be diaval/diablo; maleficent's bird) but i really believe he's a fae considering he's been headmage of nrc for how long (he's been hinting on it a lot). i'm starting to think he really is a mix of both diaval/diablo and fae since, when maleficent turned him into human, he has the same wavy hair and attire as him and the bird features (obviously). and with yana referencing maleficent (the movie) so much for diasomnia (even for mere clothing look at the glorious masquerade attires of silver and sebek – they're diaval's clothes in the movie) ayaaaa well....

now what if he was turned fae/immortal by malleus? i don't know man after chapter 7 malleus and crowley's connection are relatively going to be a big plot importance. this bird man still gives me the biggest trust issues what if he's looking after us like diaval did to little aurora or smth but i also want to skin him alive do you get me

Sleeping Beauty Spring: "Maleficent" (2014 film)

This reimagining of Disney's Sleeping Beauty was conceived in 2003, as Disney's answer to the recent success of the musical Wicked. Due to various delays, it didn't premiere until 2014, but it's clearly a spiritual sister to Wicked all the same, with a famous villainess re-conceived a sympathetic protagonist. It features a screenplay by Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland), and stars Angelina Jolie as the "evil" fairy of the title.

The opening scene introduces two neighboring enemy lands: a mundane human kingdom, and the beautiful Moors, where magical creatures dwell. We meet Maleficent as a happy, innocent fairy child, who flies through the Moors on her majestic wings. When a poor orphan boy named Stefan ventures in from the human realm, Maleficent befriends him, and as they grow up, they become lovers. But then the humans' ruthless King Henry wages new war against the fair folk. His soldiers are no match for Maleficent's magic, and in battle she mortally wounds the king. So on his deathbed, he decrees that whoever kills Maleficent will be his heir. Tragically, Stefan (Sharlto Copley) gives in to ambition – though he can't bring himself to kill Maleficent, he burns off her wings as she sleeps, then presents them as proof of her "death." Maleficent's despair at this brutal betrayal gradually becomes hard, cold bitterness, and she crowns herself the queen of the Moors, an enemy to all humans. Meanwhile, she gains a servant and spy named Diaval (Sam Riley) – a raven whom she can change to a man, or any other animal, at her will.

When Diaval informs her that King Stefan has fathered a child, Princess Aurora, Maleficent seizes her chance for revenge. Unlike the original Maleficent, however, she doesn't curse Aurora to die when she pricks her finger, but to fall into an endless sleep from which only true love's kiss can wake her; the last part is meant as mockery, because neither Maleficent nor Stefan believe in true love anymore. Accordingly, Stefan hides his baby daughter in the care of the only three fairies he trusts: Knotgrass (Imelda Staunton), Flittle (Leslie Manville), and Thistlewit (Juno Temple), this film's equivalents of Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. And from here on, he devotes his life to waging war against Maleficent, who surrounds the Moors with a forest of gigantic, impenetrable briars.

Unlike in Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent easily finds the cottage where the fairies raise Aurora. But Knotgrass, Flittle, and Thistlewit are much stupider than Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, and inept as foster mothers. Despite Maleficent's insistence that she hates the little "beastie," she and Diaval secretly watch over Aurora, ensuring that she lives to the age of sixteen, and over the years, Maleficent finds herself warming toward the innocent, brave young princess. Eventually, she spirits Aurora (now played by Elle Fanning) into the Moors for regular visits, and they form a close bond, with Aurora thinking Maleficent is her fairy godmother.

On her sixteenth birthday, Aurora resolves to leave her three silly "aunties" and live in the Moors. The same day, she also meets the handsome Prince Phillip (Brenton Thwaites). But when she announces her choice to leave, the fairies reveal her true identity and tell her about the curse. Now believing Maleficent to be evil, the distraught Aurora goes to her father's castle. There, the curse's hypnotic power takes effect and leads Aurora to the fateful spindle.

In desperation, Maleficent spirits Phillip to the castle, where the silly fairies urge him to kiss the sleeping Aurora. But his kiss doesn't wake her: his crush on her isn't "true love" because they only just met. After the others leave, however, the grieving Maleficent approaches Aurora's bedside and kisses her forehead. This kiss of true motherly love breaks the spell. (A twist that might have been even more effective if Disney hadn't already used a similar twist in its latest animated success, Frozen.)

But there's still a villain to defeat, as Stefan's army attacks Maleficent. Though she briefly fights them off by turning Diaval into a dragon, the soldiers soon overpower them. That is, until Aurora finds Maleficent's severed wings and frees them to fly back to her. With her power of flight restored, Maleficent triumphs, and the battle ends with Stefan falling to his death from a tower. Maleficent then removes her briars from the Moors and gives up her throne to Aurora, who unites the human and fairy realms in joy and peace.

While I understand why this film had mixed reviews, I understand its popularity too. It's a visually stunning production, with an atmosphere that perfectly balances darkness with enchantment. And while the screenplay has some uneven characterization, in general it's an engaging new spin on an old story. As for Angelina Jolie she embodies this version of Maleficent in all her dignity, ferocity, wry wit, and complexity. That said, she never captures the sheer gravitas and charisma that Eleanor Audley's voice and Marc Davis's animation gave the original Maleficent. No matter what its fans might claim, this film can't replace the artistry of the animated Sleeping Beauty. I especially dislike the reduction of the three good fairies, the original film's true heroines, into obnoxious idiots.

Still, for an epic, creative reimagining of an iconic Disney villainess's story, Maleficent is very much worth seeing.

Heyy, thanks so much for answering and the ask!

I don't know if you've read any of my fics so I will answer about them in general and not just about a specific one, hope that's okay.

1- Have any media sources acted as inspiration for your fics and which ones?

Well, I kinda want to say it depends. There have been influences, but not directly, more like in the worldbuilding process or in the background.

For example, in Collision of Parallel Lines (which started as a Maleficent/Diaval fic with two storylines and now has a life of it's own) I went for the modern fairytales/darker fairytales trope. At the time I had recently watched this show called Tell Me a Story, which is an anthology series featuring fairy tales such as The Red Riding Hood and Sleeping Beauty in a grimmer setting. Characters whose backgrounds are similar to Red Riding Hood and other fairytale people are a huge part of COPL (my OC Lyarra the main one).

I also use a lot of references to everyday culture in my fics (the lyrics to "My Jolly Sailor Bold" in COPL, String Theory was inspired by Taylor Swift's "I Can Do it with a Broken Heart" etc)

6- What is your favorite type of feedback and why?

It's kind of funny because I just yesterday made this post about the importance of validating an author's work and leaving comments. I am personally happy with any kind of acknowledgement. But if I had to choose, it would be a comment or a DM. I love people telling me what their favorite part of a fic/chapter was. A line, a scene, something that made an impression. I put a lot of detail into my fics, so it thrills me to know someone paid attention and little things stood out to them as they did to me. It's the best feeling in the world to know your writing has touched people.

20- Is there anything about my fics I want to discuss but haven't gotten the chance?

Only a million different things. As I've said in question 6, I am always eager to discuss things with my readers, headcanons, ideas, anything.

In When Violence Causes Silence I created a whole new branch of magic called Mind Magic that delves into people's memories and perceptions, complete with its side effects and what it does to a person who uses it.

In The Lucky One I introduced a whole bunch of OCs with their own personalities and storylines. I loved one of them, Veranika Bates (the ice queen with the sharp tongue that doesn't believe in love) so much that she is getting her own origin story and fic soon (which I am actually posting tomorrow hehe).

I am literally happy to talk about anything.

Veranika in String Theory is revealed to love almond croissants, I'd be thrilled if someone commented something like "oh, i love almond croissants too, that was a nice touch".

Ashara in There's a story left untold struggles with her identity and acceptance from others. I'd love to hear someone relating to her and feeling less alone.

My OC Viola from You're on your own kid faces difficult decisions in the entertainment industry. (she is also a badass that takes no bullshit from anyone and I love her to death)

Maleficent hurt Diaval badly in COPL, do people think it's alright to make choices on behalf of someone you love, even if it is to protect them?

I think interaction between authors is extremely important and having a supportive community at your back can do wonders. I love talking to my readers and other authors and it's amazing the things you can learn.

Chapter 9

Gerda tried her best to remain undetected by every creature they greeted. She silently stood behind Celtra avoiding any eye contact. So far it had appeared to work as they held simple conversations with only Celtra. Not once did any creature glance her way. Gerda felt her palms grow sweaty as they gradually neared the two creatures she was desperate to avoid.

"Gerda is it? I have to admit I hardly recognized you for a second. " A curious voice asked.

She glanced up at the familiar man who had night black hair and pale skin with black clothing on. She remembered his name as being Diaval. It had been months since she last seen him so it's reasonable that he would not recognize her. Had he been human, she would acknowledge that he was quite attractive as she took notice of his handsome features.

It was unlike her to pay attention to the appearance of men since she was usually kept busy with work the Queen trusted her with. She reminded herself that he was not human but simply another reckless creature.

"Y-Yes it is." Gerda stuttered as she quickly glanced around to see if anyone heard him.

"I assume your conditions have improved since we last spoke?" Diaval politely asked, making Gerda wonder why he was being so cordial towards her.

"They have been somewhat manageable." Gerda responded, trying to keep her voice low so that Borra wouldn't hear her if he was nearby.

"Very well then. Now I wouldn't want to keep your companion waiting." Diaval said with a smile as he glanced over towards Celtra who was patiently waiting for Gerda while studying their brief interaction.

"Until next time." Gerda replied with a short nod before following Celtra.

After a few minutes of Celtra greeting the sitting fey, they finally neared Borra and Maleficent who were sitting just three chairs down at the beginning of the table. Gerda tightened her clasped hands together feeling waves of panic wash over her. Every part in her body begged her to walk away and hide in the crowd but she knew it wouldn't be smart.

The best she could do was remain invisible. Deep down she knew it was impossible since her human scent would be easily recognized. They soon were only one person away and Gerda could easily hear the voice of Borra speaking as he conversed with both Maleficent and the person in front of them.

Gerda tried refocusing on her breathing while attempting to hold a stoic expression when near them. She was once a master at it so it shouldn't have been hard to accomplish. However, over her months of isolation she knew something within her had changed. She can't remember what it was like to be the emotionless woman she once was. She felt distorted as if cracks had taken form inside her once icy interior.

Her body trembled once Celtra moved up and now stood in front of Borra and Maleficent. Gerda instantly shifted beside Celtra trying to be as subtle as possible. She said nothing and kept her eyes downcast as Celtra acknowledged them. Her breathing quivered when she realized that only the table stood between them.

"I would like to congratulate you on such wonderful news. You must be very excited about becoming a grandmother to your first grandchild." Celtra said to Maleficent with a soft smile.

"I appreciate your kind words, I understand you are now recognized as being Borra's top healer. Such a remarkable gift you are blessed to have." Maleficent's sultry voice said.

"Thank you, it means a lot knowing my gifts could be of use to our people." Celtra answered in a appreciative voice.

Celtra had continued on with her conversation between Maleficent but Gerda drowned it out. She averted to controlling her breathing and heartbeat. She was panicking and could only hope she left unharmed. Both Maleficent and Borra were intimidating to be around given how powerful they were. The sound of Celtra laughing caused Gerda to glance up. Her body froze when she noticed Borra staring directly at her with penetrating amber eyes.

She felt her cheeks grow warm as he continued observing her in a way that made her feel unsteady. Gerda was unaware of how long he had noticed her but she desperately wanted to run out to the crowd. Her hands tightly gripped each other as she struggled to remain calm. She was unsure what was going through his head but she was somewhat relieved when his eyes weren't filled with the usual hate or anger. Perhaps Maleficent's presence kept him content at the moment.

She continued staring back at him with guarded eyes searching for any trace of aggression. Despite her wariness of him, he appeared to be observing every detail on her. She held back a brittle shiver when his eyes traveled to the long red curls of hair that hung at her waist. She mentally braced herself for any potential outburst from him. Gerda was unable to make out his expression which troubled her. It was impossible to unravel what kind of storm was brewing behind his dark amber eyes.

"It was so lovely meeting you and I'm glad all is well with you and your family. Please excuse us, we wouldn't want to take up anymore of your time." Celtra finished causing Gerda to remove her eyes from Borra.

"Would you mind staying for a moment? I almost forgot we had a second 'guest' with us." Maleficent interjected causing Gerda to glance at Celtra with wide eyes before refocusing back to the floor.

"My apologies, I should have properly introduced her to you." Celtra said with hesitance as she lightly pulled Gerda forward.

Gerda stiffened with downcast eyes not wanting to look up with the fear of being set ablaze. She felt far too close to them. Her jaw clenched with disappointment in herself for allowing these two creatures to intimidate her. Her pride was taking a hit but she would be a fool to anger them.

However, underneath her cowardice was a rising fire that begin to take form. She grew disgusted by her fear towards them. Maleficent's demanding voice spoke up causing her to flinch in response. It only added fuel to the flames within her.

"Look up at me girl when in my presence. Has anyone told you how rude it is to not acknowledge those above you?" Maleficent sharply hissed.

"My apologies." Gerda quickly uttered as she stared up at Maleficent's emerald eyes that now studied her from head to toe.

"Step closer, I would like to get a clear view of you." Maleficent demanded with taunting eyes.

Celtra gently pushed Gerda closer till her waist was nearly pressed against the table. Gerda felt a rush of dread sweep down as she attempted to sustain her composure. She continued blankly staring at Maleficent while fighting back her inner emotions.

"You clean up nice for being Borra's little pet slave. Such a shame to see beauty go to waste on someone who will spend their life locked away from the world." Maleficent taunted as her fingers reached out and twirled around one of the red curls that hung on Gerda's hip.

Her fingers twisted around the curl in a threatening manner. Gerda could almost feel the hate Maleficent felt towards her. The witch certainly had the power to kill her on the spot if she wanted to.

Gerda nervously glanced at Borra who was now watching Maleficent with fervent eyes as her clawed finger toyed with Gerda's curl. His expression held a hint of caution which then grew vigilant when the witch tightened her grip. She then released the curl and smiled at her like a cat playing with its prey.

"If I recall I believe you were the one who failed at killing me when you worked for the human Queen. I pictured you to be a bit more...hmm...I don't know perhaps fiercer in person. It's quite a disappointment to see what stands before me." Maleficent continued in a sharp voice that sparked a twinge of anger in Gerda.

Her eyes hardened after hearing Maleficent's form of mockery. She was past her breaking point and the witch's comments set her off.

"I suppose months of isolation with no contact from the outside world will do that to one. However, as they say looks can be quite deceiving." Gerda replied in a calm voice with a stern expression as she tried to mask her true emotions.

"Really? Borra mentioned how you were such an annoying pest to him, I assume he was finally able to tame you. It only took a few snapped bones to truly break you in like a dog." Maleficent retorted as she smirked at Gerda who was now glaring at her with narrowed eyes.

"Yet here I am standing before you alive and in one piece...oh and my apologies for forgetting to ask. How's your wound? I recall how you easily plummeted from the sky after one simple shot from my crossbow." Gerda sarcastically responded with false concern causing Maleficent's eyes to glow green in anger.

"If I were you I would watch that tone of yours 'girl'. Let's see how resilient you truly are after I'm done with you." Maleficent hissed, her hand now starting to glow.

"I will deal with her later. Don't waste your time on this infuriating, miserable human." Borra quickly intervened as he laid his large hand on top of Maleficents.

Gerda immediately redirected her glare to Borra who was still focused on Maleficent. The sadistic witch appeared to calm down though malice lingered in her eyes. A cold, taunting smile then formed on her red plump lips as she leered at Gerda.

"I believe she simply needs to remember her place. With wild animals you need to break them until they know who their master is." Maleficent said in a low, wicked voice.

Borra’s hard eyes studied Gerda for a few seconds before glancing at Celtra who nervously stood beside her. The tension was thick enough to make anyone nearby uneasy.

"Leave us." Borra ordered Celtra causing Gerda to look at her with pleading eyes.

"As you wish." Celtra replied in a small voice as she glanced at Gerda with wary before walking away.

Borra then stood and yanked Gerda forward by her wrist causing a few glasses of wine to rattle on the table. Gerda hissed in pain when she felt his nails dig into her skin earning a entertained smirk from Maleficent. His large frame towered over her in a intimidating manner.

"It appears you have forgotten your manners around those above you. You will spend the rest of your time here standing right behind me like a child. If you disobey me I will snap your wrists. Do I make myself clear?" Borra smoothly hissed in a menacing low voice that caused Gerda to tremble.

"Y-Yes." Gerda whispered as she stared back at him with wide eyes.

She quickly walked around the table and quietly stood behind him with a hollow feeling inside her chest. Her eyes blinked away tears of shame as she noticed several passing fairies and pixies giggling at her. Some of the sitting dark fey stared at her as they whispered to each other.

She desperately needed a distraction from the burning stares of humiliation. Her eyes focused on the back of Borra whose long wings almost towered over her even though he was sitting. This was the first time she actually stood in such close proximity to him for an extended time. Even from behind he was truly unnerving to be around.

She observed his never ending pointy black horns and how they connected to a head of dark blonde hair. Her timid gaze trailed down the blended patterns of brown colors on his wings that flickered and moved every so often. Up close they appeared awfully sharp and rough to the touch but yet smooth as light danced on them from the ceiling.

She wondered if they felt as resilient as they looked. He would surely break her fingers if she ever were to feel for herself. Overall, she had to admit that she was memorized by them. She found the blend of colors rather beautiful despite him being a cruel creature to her.

Gerda was certain he thought the opposite of her. He probably was repulsed by her red hair and basic pale human features. She knew he despised every bit of her. He most certainly was memorizing every flaw on her face and body which would explain why he gazed at her for so long.

Gerda continued waiting behind him until the music changed its tune. A large fire appeared inside a hearth that was set in the middle of the hall. Everyone then grew excited and some gathered around it to dance with each other. The lit orbs on the ceiling dimmed making shadows appear on the walls as everyone celebrated.

Shortly after, many of the sitting fey stood up and headed towards the hearth. She nearly flinched when Borra stood and lightly grabbed Maleficent's hand. She sighed in relief as they headed towards the dancing crowd not bothering to acknowledge her presence.

She observed all the dancing fey who looked so carefree and happy. She grimaced at the sight of them. Gerda felt a pit of envy towards the creatures. She would forever be Borra's slave even after he finds a mate and has a family of his own. What would she become then? A slave to his family?

She wanted to scream at such a thought. This couldn’t be it for her. Not when freedom was just outside the doors. There had to be a way out of Borra’s grasp but deep down she knew he would always find her. She struggled to accept that this was her fate.

Gerda was confused when she felt her cheeks soaked with a watery substance. She grimaced when she realized it was tears. She quickly wiped her cheeks feeling foolish for crying over her circumstances. If anything Borra might end up killing her sooner than she thought which was somewhat refreshing to know.

"Why the somber face?" A voice belonging to Diaval asked, catching Gerda off guard.

She then turned to him noticing he was smiling as he stood beside her with his arms folded behind him. Gerda gritted her teeth and glared at the crowd with her lips pressed together.

"I'm not sad. What a foolish question to ask." She said as she tried to appear uncaring.

"The salty scent on your face tells a different story." Diaval responded with a playful smirk that made Gerda roll her eyes.

"Must all of your kind have such a keen sense of smell? I find it rather invasive.  Anyways, what do you want? Surely you didn't come here out of concern." Gerda hissed as she glared at Diaval.

"Actually I came here to simply have a civil conversation with you. I was quite bored watching everyone prance around some fire. I don't get what's so exciting about it all." Diaval said surprising Gerda with his words.

"You came over here to spark conversation with ‘me’? Why on earth would you want to speak to me? I'm sure you must hate me like the rest of your kind do." Gerda said feeling baffled by Diaval's friendliness.

"I hold some dislike towards you but that doesnt mean I hate you. I actually don't think it's in my nature to hate. Probably the bird in me." Diaval said in almost deep thought, causing Gerda to smirk.

"So you're saying you aren't capable of hating me because you're a bird? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds." Gerda said as she chuckled, wondering why Maleficent keeps such an odd, silly creature around her.

"Well if you put it in those terms then yes it sounds ridiculous. You know I never took you as one to tease, you were so serious the last time I saw you." Diaval replied with a grin.

"If you had to constantly be around that ‘creature’ you would be the same." Gerda muttered, feeling herself grow sour at the thought of Borra's violent mood swings.

"He's not always like that, well at least when he's in the presence of others. I've seen the soft side he holds towards Maleficent. I actually believe he is in love with her though she's too stubborn to care." Diaval said shaking his head in disappointment towards Maleficent.

"I suppose I would never know since I only do see one side of him and it's always hate or anger. Perhaps they truly do deserve each other." Gerda said as she absent mindedly stared off into the crowd.

"I honestly doubt they would end up together, I do deeply care for Maleficent as a friend but she is such a pain at times. A very stubborn, impatient woman." Diaval said earning a quick smirk from Gerda.

"Sounds like you're describing every woman." Gerda replied as she observed Diaval.

Diaval then suddenly grew serious with his eyes fixated on someone in the distance. Gerda's brows furrowed in confusion at his sudden change of behavior. She followed his gaze and felt all mood for conversation and playfulness disappear when she noticed Borra approaching them.

His face held an inhospitable expression as he approached them. Gerda knew he was upset judging by the frigid look in his eyes. She felt her heart speed up against her chest in fear as he neared them. She mentally prepared herself to endure his presence.

"Well, well—" Her tone mirrored that of her Godmother, as she had noticed over the years this was often how Maleficent would begin when met with something curious. Not many were allowed to tease the winged guardian of The Moors - not even Diaval, who had loyally flown beside her before Aurora was even born - but it seemed like the young Queen was a rare exception in her book. Obviously, Aurora would use this to her advantage, jumping on her feet ever so childishly with a wide smile upon her features.

"Where have you been all morning?" The blonde asked, tilting her head to the side. "Staying out of trouble, I hope."

it seemed almost ironic. somehow rapunzel had found herself finally free from the confines of the tower and now she was trapped indoors due to a snow storm. it only made her yearn to explore this strange place even more, something she reminded herself that she would have time to do once the storm subsided. a small sigh fell from the blonde’s lips as she plopped down on the couch in the living room, eyeing the man that she had caught out in the storm and offered to follow her home. she was still quite distrusting when it came to others due to all the things that mother gothel had ingrained into her, but she knew that she couldn’t let anyone get stuck out in a blizzard with nowhere to turn to for shelter. she readjusted her position, sitting criss-cross style as she scrutinized the other. almost as if she was trying to access whether or not it was a good decision to invite the other over. “do you want to do something to pass the time? we don’t really know how long we’re going to be stuck indoors.” she suggested, feeling an overwhelming need to break the silence between them. “i have tons of board games and possible crafts!”

Everyone's little sister, Eve is also responsible for letting Thomas interact with the Sides and for the mind palace - which can sometimes lead to her getting possessed by one of them if they need more control.

Finally watched Maleficent 2. Didn't expect to love it as much as I did. Here's some things I think I loved the most:

- all the pretty pretty wings (I wasn't sure about the other Dark Fey at first, but they kinda grew on me)

- The costuming and hair!!! Dunno how historically accurate they were, but I was pretty much drooling at all the pearls and jewelry and lovely fabrics.

- The magnificent goth himbo himself, Diaval my beloved. Love how he's literally a bird and still knows more about human interaction than Maleficent.

- Diaval as a bear-ish creature. The beak was a nice touch, especially since he has bird-like features as a human, too.

- big black dragon phoenix monster

- Angelina Jolie. How does she do it. Just *chef's kiss* amazing.

- Live action Aurora, my favorite Disney princess queen. I'd love to go on a picnic with her and make some flower crowns together. She's great. (and Elle Fanning is very talented and beautiful)

- Okay this is more sad than anything else, but the fact that Lickspittle wasn't an evil guy after all, but forced into the position he was in.

- Prince Philip. He has the personality of a bag of flour, but he knows what is right.

- Pinto and lil mushroom creature's romance at the end

- I'm just saying, more villains should be turned into goats with fancy necklaces.

- Imelda Staunton playing a character dressed entirely in pink

- Jenn Murray's character (apparently her name was Gerda) and her porcelain doll-like looks

- no romance between Maleficent and Conall (I feel like it would've been too sudden and forced. Though I would've liked for Conall to live and see the peace he wanted so much)

He’d let her stroke his feathers and would engage her in games, and he always, always came back to see her again, along with her Fairy Godmother in the shadows.

Me Rambling About Future Twisted Wonderland Events and Other Stuff Nobody Ask

Okay. A few days ago I found  a theory that Grim was based on Jabberwocky written by @spindlebeforesunset . It was a convincing theory and I really like that. But this it got me thinking, if this is the same Jabberwocky from the Alice in Wonderland live-action movie, then we have an actual representation of Disney Live Action Movie.

Seriously. When the world is talking about POC and LGBTQ+ representation, I’m here talking about Disney Movie representation.

This also got me thinking about the Events we got (Happy Beans Day, Fairy Gala, and Ghost Marriage). Most of them are inspired by Disney Movies, but I’m still not sure about Ghost Marriage. I’m guessing that we will be definitely getting more Events between Pomefiore-Ignihyde and Ignihyde-Diasomnia, maybe even Diasomnia-Finale. So, I went through the Disney Wiki and looked at the list of animated canon to see what event we can get.

As we all know, Walt Disney Animated Canon has eight eras of animation (according to the wiki, usually we mash the Bronze Age and Dark Age together):

Disney Golden Age: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) - Bambi (1942)

Disney Package Film Era: Saludos Amigos (1942) - The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949)

Disney Silver Age: Cinderella (1950) - The Jungle Book (1967)

Disney Bronze Age: The Aristocats (1970) - The Rescuers (1977)

Disney Dark Age: The Fox and the Hound (1981) - Oliver & Company (1988)

Disney Renaissance: The Little Mermaid (1989) - Tarzan (1999)

Disney Post-Renaissance: Fantasia 2000 (1999) - Meet the Robinsons (2007)

Disney Revival: Bolt (2008) - Frozen II (2019)

Now, as you can see, between these eras, we have characters, dorms, and event represented in Twisted Wonderland.

Now, there are others I haven’t include: Grim, Dire Crowley, Ramshackle Ghosts, Fairy Gala event, and Ghost Marriage.

But before we discuss, I want to say that I will be only including the Disney Animated Canon, so I won’t be including the actual Live-Action Remakes or Disneytoon Movies, but I will connect it to the movies in the WDAC.

Fairy Gala Event. This is easy because we all know this is inspired by the Tinker Bell franchise [DisneyToon Studio]. Tinker Bell herself is featured in Peter Pan (1953).

Dire Crowley. We all know that our ‘kind’ headmaster is supposed to be the Twisted form of Maleficent’s raven. He could be the actual raven in Sleeping Beauty (1959) or maybe he’s actually Diaval from Maleficent (2014) and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), which means we have another Live Action Movie representative.

Grim. Now according to the mentioned theory, Grim can be the Twisted form of Jabberwocky, which means he has a connection to Alice in Wonderland, both (1951) and (2010). Though I did make a meme that Grim is inspired by Stitch, I don’t have much proof.

Ghost Marriage Event. This event is interesting because most of us, including me, think that it was inspired by Corpse Bride (2005). Here’s the thing. Corpse Bride wasn’t made or distributed by Disney. It was produced by Tim Burton Production and distributed by Warner Bros. Picture. So, Disney has no involvement in this. However, I start to think about another possibility.  Have you ever heard a short Silly Symphony called The Goddess of Spring (1934)? This animated short is very important because, from this, Disney could develop their skill in human character, which eventually lead to the birth of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). I’ll be sticking to this, which means Ghost Marriage represents the Era Before Canon or even Disney Golden Age.

Ramshackle Ghost. Honorable mention, they are probably inspired by the ghost in Lonesome Ghost (1937), while the Ramshackle Dorm itself is inspired by Thru the Mirror (1936) and has inspiration from Alice in Wonderland (1951) and Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) . The Ramshackle Dorm can represent Era Before Canon or even Disney Silver Age, while the Ramshackle Ghosts represent Disney Golden Age (it was released three days after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

Halloween Gacha can be based this around The Headless Horseman from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949) [Disney Package Film Era], The Black Cauldron (1985) [Disney Dark Age] maybe even Pooh's Heffalump Halloween: The Movie (2005) [DisneyToon Studios, but connected to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977)  [Disney Bronze Age] and Winnie the Pooh (2011) [Disney Revival] ]

Gotta-Catch-‘Em-All Event, but instead of Pokemon you catch Winnie the Pooh inspired creatures [The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) [Disney Bronze Age] and Winnie the Pooh (2011) [Disney Revival]] or even aliens like Stitch’s cousins [Lilo & Stitch (2002) [Disney Post-Renaissance] ]

A Bird-Theme Music Festival for Saludos Amigos (1942) and The Three Caballeros (1944) [Disney Package Film Era]

Adventure/Explorer Gacha based around Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) or Treasure Planet (2002)  [Disney Post-Renaissance] 

Sherlock Holmes-like/Victorian Era Event based around The Great Mouse Detective (1986) [Disney Dark Age]

A School Festival Stage Play based on The Sword in the Stone (1963) [Disney Silver Age] or Robin Hood (1973) [Disney Bronze Age]

I just want something from Disney Bronze Age, Disney Dark Age, and Disney Post-Renaissance because we haven't got anything from there!
