Hear Me Out (Sprout x HOH! Reader)

AN: So, fun fact, I am ALSO Hard of Hearing (HOH), however it's not to the point it's been impacting my life to the point of intervention. That being said, I don't know sign, but I'm trying to learn! So I'm sorry if this isn't very accurate, I promise I'm trying to be as respectful as possible!

☁ Anyway, EX-distractor Reader! Maybe they USED to be a distractor, but it got to the point where it just wasn't feasible anymore, so the reader instead took up a survivalist role/back-up distractor.

☁ It would be really cool to think that their ability is kind of like SONAR or like...echolocation lol, where they can use an ability to work around their hearing loss. Like they can locate the twisteds using the vibration of their steps and uses as a guide.

☁ If that makes sense? So they can't see through walls, per say, but they can tell because an Exclamation point pops up because a twisted is walking right there, but you can't hear it. Just sense it.

☁ like okay spidey sense, pop off queen.

☁ Anyway, now that the intro is there. SPROUT. Sprout my boy. How I wish to put you in a blender and drink you. /pos

☁ So my partial headcanon is that after being returned, he's partially blind on his left side, hence why he becomes right dominant. So he understands having something effect your day to day life.

☁ As a main, I imagine he had to know sign, so he's already fluent in it! When you sign to him the first time, a simple wave and spelling of your name, you're startled when he returns the action.

☁ Even if you don't know sign, he's patient and willing to teach you! in the meantime, he writes with his fingers on the palm of your hand. Letter by letter, he writes silly little secret messages that make you flush.

☁ Y'all cute as hell.

☁ On runs, he keeps his eyes peeled for you at all times. Since leaving the distractor way of life, he sticks so close to you. Like he's probably saved your ass more times than you can count and you don't even know because you aren't thinking of it at the time and can't hear him!

☁ But it all plays out because you know how many times you save him because they sneak up on his right side?

☁ You guys also sign to each other all the time after he discovers your fluent/ teaches you. Across rooms, you both notice like Shrimpo doing something and he's like "D-I-D U S-E-E T-H-A-T" and you're tying not to giggle as you respond "U S-H-O-U-L-D F-I-L-M" for preparation on what is bound to be peak comedy.

☁ Additionally, it's a very effective method of communicating which twisteds are on the floor. A simple " P-O-P" or "B-O-X" goes a long way, especially if you're playing backup until the main distractor can collect the other twisted.

☁ As someone who's a bit HOH, idk about y'all, but I get so frustrated with myself sometimes, because people need to repeat themselves like six times and I still don't understand. So I imagine Sprout is very aware of that too. He takes time to speak slowly if you can handle it, or he'll sign, it makes no real difference to me.

☁ When others are being assholes about it, he'll step in and diffuse the situation, especially if he sees you becoming increasingly frustrated. He understands the some of the other toons have...less patience than others when it comes to things like communicating in a way that helps you or others.

☁ Sometimes you probably feel like you're being left out just a bit as well. For instance, when others are complaining about Fin's puns, you probably feel left out since there's no direct translation to some of them so the joke is lost by the time it's explained.

☁ Sprout does not care. He will go through it, letter by letter if needed, just to see you smile, even if it's smile. He loathes the puns, don't get him wrong, but he knows you like being included with the rest of them.

☁ If you all are watching something, he is adamant that subtitles are an absolute must. He will not take no for an answer.

☁ I've established fairly well that Sprout is a protective guy. This does not end after the runs. Not at all. It's the little things that he takes especially good eyes on, like subtitles and keeping notebooks in every room for those not fluent in sign to communicate with you, just to ensure your comfort above all else.

☁ On runs, he's never more than a room away from you. He's got the stamina to play distractor for a while, so if it means keeping you safe, he'll do it.

☁ When off runs, Sprout kinda reminds me of a tired dad especially with like Yatta and Toodles. They run around and have fun, but it's hard when they're running around you and you can't hear them and they nearly smoke ya.

☁ He's always reminding people to keep a berth until you notice them. If they don't head his warning, he's not above scruffing them and dragging them in the opposite direction. Like if Finn and Shrimpo are going at it, he'll literally drag them away and drop them to continue their fighting before walking away.

☁ If he's not around, you better believe Cosmo is his second in command. You all thought this would be a Roo post without mentions of cosmo? HA.

☁ Cosmo is always there if Sprout is not. If you get hit, Cosmo is handing you a cookie, even if Sprout is literally heading your way. Like Cosmo knows how much you mean to Sprout, so you mean a lot to him. I don't think his hearing is all to good either (Especially since it takes Cosmos 20 fucking minutes to come grab a fucking med-), so he's a good confidant if you think Sprout needs a break. He's also fluent so he's a great translator!

☁ Especially if Sprout is scolding someone for being a dumbass and isn't thinking about signing. Cosmo's right there with a cheeky little grin, interpreting for you.

☁ That being said, Sprout does the same thing. If someone's arguing in the elevator, he's right beside you, keeping up with their yells so you can follow along. It's honestly hilarious is they say something below the belt and Sprout pauses and is just :O before recovering and signing it to you and you're just :OOO thirty seconds later.

☁ All in all, Sprout is a lovely gentleman all around. None of this is extra to him, it's all just part of loving you. And if it's about you, he'll do it every time, no questions asked.

You had isolated yourself in this mansion just outside of the city where you lived alone, most rooms empty and collecting dust as you had no real reason to use them.

Then suddenly, one day these 9 people in weird clothing appeared at your doorstep in the pouring rain, asking you if you had any room for them to spare as they had no idea where they were.

You were suspicious as Hell… But these 7 men and 2 women appeared genuine and you couldn't sense any hostility coming from them.

So you took them in and once they were warm you started to talk and… Their story was a crazy one. They said they came from Japan and that they were actually Demon Slayers.

Okay, you were suspicious as Hell, thinking that maybe they were just cosplaying scammers… But you chose to believe them because your modern mansion and electronics and such drew them breathless in a way that couldn't be faked.

So you asked if they would like to live with you and they were against it, saying that they can't use your hospitality against you. That was another sign that they were genuine and not after your money.

"I'd like to offer my home to you," You smiled for the first time in ages, "Taken, that you will spend some time with me?"

"Your hospitality knows no boundaries," The Slayers said as they bowed their heads to you, "We are eternally grateful."

And so began your new interesting and exciting life with the 9 Hashiras.

Initially, they were all at a loss when they ended up in your world which was way more modern and… Safer than their own world. With no Demons to hunt, they felt lost, but with your help, they are learning to adapt to this new strange world.

All 9 of them are taken aback by the modern technology and new cultures around the world.

Kyojuro and Mitsuri are amazed by anything food-related really.

They can't almost believe how easy cooking can be in this era of yours. Air fryers, microwaves, blenders, they are all new and exciting, even small robots that bring food to your doorstep!

What really amazes them both are the different countries and their food cultures. Both of them are super eager to try anything new and most likely love everything offered to them.

Kyojuro can't understand how many countries there really are, and how much food there just is. Spanish paella, Italian pasta, American fried chicken, so many possibilities and foods to try out!

"Did you know about this wonderful food called pizza? Apparently, you can put anything you really want on it and top it off with some cheese! There is also some amazing crispy fried chicken!"

Mitsuri has a huge sweet tooth and will eat anything put before her. New chocolate flavors she never heard of, fluffy cakes, savory pastries, and sweet candy, she will eat it all, and when she really likes something she starts running around, offering the treats to other Hashiras to try also.

"Hey hey, Obanai, have you tried this chocolate? It has nuts in it, and this one has some kind of mint goo inside, but my favorite has to be this one with strawberries in it!"

Tengen and Muichiro are taken aback by the shower and different products designed for hair, face, and body.

While the shower is handy, Tengen enjoys long baths. He loves to try out all the different scented bath bombs and bath salts there are and therefore he always smells amazing. He is also the type to take care of his skin, applying different face masks, oils, and creams in order to take care of himself. He is also the one who puts cucumber slices over his eyes.

"Oh, are you perhaps looking at my fantastic skin? It's all thanks to these modern lotions! Maybe if you try some also then you would look better also!"

Muichiro comes out of the shower looking like a wet dog since he has the longest hair out of all Hashiras but he also takes care of it accordingly. While in the shower, he will apply proper shampoo, conditioner, and a hair mask also, guaranteeing that his hair looks marvelous. His hair can be a pain to dry but with the blowdryer, he isn't only done quickly but his hair looks shinier and smoother also.

"What? My hair? Hmm, I guess it looks better now that I'm taking more care of it..."

Sanemi and Obanai might have the hardest time getting used to the modern era. They are both a little reluctant to open up to you and your time. Don't get me wrong, they are thankful that you took them in, but they feel a little out of place.

Your toilets are different. You actually sit on them and not squat over them. It's a good change, but Sanemi cursed so hard that the whole mansion heard him when your smart toilet first time squirted water at his ass. After that incident, he demanded that you teach him how to use the toilets and how to prevent getting squirted at.

"Fucking piece of shit! Leave my ass alone! Next fucking time I'll destroy you!"

What Obanai likes though is how easy and normal face masks are. He doesn't have to bind his lower face every morning, he just pulls a mask over his face and is ready. Eating and drinking are easier also and while he knows he is in a safe environment with you and other Hashiras, he prefers to hide his expressions and feelings.

"The masks are an everyday thing now... I don't feel so out of place..."

Shinobu and Gyomei are both taking the changes calmly and are both collected as they absorb information like sponges. They are very open and willing to learn and to give everything a chance.

Shinobu is impressed by the vast literature and is eager to read as many books as humanely possible. There is a book for everything, cooking, gardening, cultures, novels, and so much more.

"Ara, the modern-day literature is so rich and vast! It might take me a moment to read everything I want, but I'm eager to try."

Gyomei who couldn't really read properly due to his blindness, is so happy when you show him eBooks and how virtual personal assistants like Siri or Alexa can search for information for him by simply asking so he doesn't need to use the computer by hand. When he asks if he can change his virtual assistant's voice, he asks if he could change it to your voice.

"Namu Amida Butsu... Thank you for teaching me how to cope with this day and time. I'm eternally grateful."

Giyu loves how peaceful your world is. With no Demons to hunt, he can take time for himself and embrace this modern world as a new and fresh beginning. He takes things slowly, one day at a time, and savors moments with you because you opened your heart and home for him and his companions.

"Thank you... I don't know what would have happened to us if it wasn't for your hospitality and kindness."

Ice cream actually existed during the Taisho period, but there weren't nearly as many different flavors as the modern world has.

Kyojuro will eat a whole tub of cookie dough ice cream in one go if you let him. There is no stopping him when he finds something he likes!

Mitsuri adores strawberry cheesecake-flavored ice cream. It has the taste of strawberry with something extra delicious!

Tengen loves Tutti Frutti ice cream because it has tons of sweet flavor in it. It can be pretty colorful also if prepared the way he likes it.

Muichiro enjoys mochi ice cream the most. They come in different colors and flavors and are easy to eat.

Sanemi likes Macha-flavored ice cream most since they don't make Ohagi-flavored ice cream... Yet, anyway.

Obanai enjoys mostly mint chocolate. Some say it tastes like toothpaste, but he can't taste it himself. He finds it very delicious.

Shinobu likes mild but tasteful French vanilla. It can be eaten as it is or add something to it to bring in different flavors.

Gyomei prefers chocolate ice cream because of how sweet and rich it is. It makes him smile.

Giyu really likes the mild but sweet taste of the whipped cream flavor. It's sweet and much like vanilla, it can be combined with other things.

What are some themes you wish are explored in fics more? Mine is the rather tenuous position of halfbloods in Wizarding World.

While halfblood are undoubtedly treated better than Muggleborns, they are not exempt from discrimination from blood puristsm given how Harry had to face taunts on his mother from Draco, and was called filthy halfblood by Bellatrix.

Also, how one's treated as a halfblood is dependent on their lat name and perceived wealth.

While Harry, Tom and Severus all ostensibly fall in "half blood, powerful wizard" category, their Hogwarts Years would have been very different.

Harry, due to his Pureblood last name and generational wealth is someone on the top on Wixen World totem pole while Tom and Severus with a Muggle surname and lack of wealth must have faced a lot of discrimination at least in the early half of their Hogwarts careers.

Definitely agree! Besides the power of a "known surname" in the magical world, I also think there's an element of misogyny at play too. I touch on it super briefly in my fic walpurgisnacht.

Judging by Evans’s surname, his muggle blood more than likely comes from his father. This is generally considered more shameful. Pureblood men can be excused for succumbing to the wiles of a woman with unclean blood. Natural urges, they say. However, most believe only the most depraved and wanton of pureblood women would ever lower herself to lie with muggle filth.

I think it's interesting that the main examples we have of pureblood women marrying muggle men in canon usually involve an element of trickery. Merope used love potions on Tom Senior. We aren't sure what exactly went down with Eileen and Tobias Snape but I think it's inferred that Tobias hated magic. Even Seamus Finnegan says it was a "nasty shock" when his father found out his mother was a witch. I definitely think it would be a cool thing to explore further.

I guess since we're already talking about the more political aspects of the magical world: would be cool to see more muggleborn narratives. The main one we see in canon is Hermione (and somewhat Lily's). I think it's weird as hell that most of The Order are purebloods and halfbloods.

I would like to see a solution for "muggleborn assimilation" that actually makes sense for me that doesn't involve stealing babies. As an adoptee, that's just so squicky for me.

Umm, I guess to throw more personal politics into the blender: I would love to see a fic seriously tackle Azkaban reform (because seriously that place is a horrific human rights violation). Also, more truly genuine and nuanced takes on Death Eater reform, unlearning cult mentality, and just real redemption and healing.

exactly one person asked for a men's list when it came to my cooking headcanons list for the ladies so here ya go!

Chris Redfield- Actually a decent home cook because he was old enough to want to give Claire some of their mom's cooking when he could. Unfortunately, any time he tries a new recipe for the first time he burns it. The second or third time things come out fine, but the first time he does something new he's opening windows to let out the pan smoke or returning to coals in the oven.

Barry Burton- His wife does all the cooking as he's hopeless in the kitchen, but since they got married she's never had to wash a single dish. He always made sure there's a working dishwasher in their house for when he's away too long to do his usual chore.

Albert Wesker- Can make the fanciest looking food in the world. We're talking Michelin star $100 a plate in appearance only. His dishes have zero flavor. They taste. No one understands how this happens.

Leon Kennedy- Breakfast King. I know the line in damnation is too overused, but breakfast is actually the easiest way to start learning how to cook. Box mix pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs, all require him to put something in a pan on low to medium heat with some oil and poke it around until it's done. There's little effort exerted in monitoring since that's half his real job anyway. Of course it translates to cooking. He's perfected the timing. Everything else is take-out though.

Carlos Oliveira- He had no idea how to cook until he got out of Raccoon City and went home to his family. He tried learning from his mama, but she'd always take the knife or pan from him, so he learned from a sibling and is pretty good at it. He makes a lot of marinades, so the blender is his friend.

Luis Serra Navarro- Absolutely under no circumstances does this man belong in a kitchen. He will concoct the most wretched smelling health food that's full of vitamins, minerals, and "a healthy dash of vinegar for flavor". He's wonderful to have at the dinner table, but never at the stove. Makes a real tasty cup of coffee though.

Jack Krauser- For some ungodly reason, this man can take someone's most hated foods and make them taste good. No idea what the hell he does to it as he will kick everyone out of the kitchen until he's done, but he's just like that. Barely cooks not because he hates it, but because he has to be in the mood.

Piers Nivans- He's the king of the grill. Will lecture anyone in earshot about the important difference between gas, charcoal, or wood when it comes to maintaining the flavor of the meat. He also believes salt and pepper are all you need for a great burger which must be cooked to medium at the hottest lest it lose it's tenderness.

Jake Muller- Salads, smoothies, and overnight oats, he's the one making meals that are able to be eaten fast or on the go. Fruit counts as a dessert to him. He does enjoy experimenting by eating the "weird" or most unfriendly tourist foods while he travels so he has something to brag about, even though he could never figure out how to cook any of it himself.

Ethan Winters- He tries his best. He'll help Mia in the kitchen with food prep or clean up. He makes good dips for chips, has a delicious cookie recipe, and researched how to make baby food for when Rosemary stopped being breastfed. This somehow translated into him figuring out how to make very good custards and parfaits. Although, he got super frustrated trying to figure out how to make bread and has given up the fight.

i will happily do this again for any characters not on either of my lists since i love cooking and baking, and this is fun to think about

Your Cameron timeloop fic sounds so cool! I don’t write timeloop usually bc it stresses me out to write but I love it as a reader and a concept. What kind of gave you the itch to write it - like what are you finding super fun about it?

OKAY SO time loop stories are kind of my white whale; always wanted to write one, have about 6 different drafts for different fandoms dating back as far as 2017/18, and never really managed to pull it off (apart from a one-shot i wrote 3 years ago, and that was less ‘time loop’ and more ‘reincarnation’—the loop wasn’t an enclosed time period). time loops are so interesting to me because they’re a physical manifestation of what is (usually) an internal conflict of some kind; the loop is a metaphor and a way for characters to work their shit out, but it’s also real, and brings its own set of problems. in groundhog day, phil’s loop forces him to confront his own cynicism and become a better person; in russian doll, nadia and alan’s loop forces them to process their own trauma (with the addition of them dying at the end of every loop); in undertale (i would argue that its save/reload ‘memory’ and the fact that you have to play it at least twice for the true pacifist ending qualifies it partly as a time loop story), the loop forces the underground to reckon with its desire for freedom and what they’re actually willing to do to get it. it’s an external obstacle that forces internal processing, and that is FUN but also scary as hell to write. my gut instinct whenever i consume a new character-driven piece of media is always to daydream ‘well what if there was a time loop?’, because for me it is THE ultimate blender to stick people in and see what comes out.

why i chose cameron (and the events of hunting specifically) is a bit more complicated. first things first: i love cameron. i love WRITING cameron, because time and time again in the show there’s a clash between what she believes abstractly and what she actually finds herself capable of following through on, and that’s a fun internal/external conflict. can you see where i’m going with this. and cameron is having…a TIME in early s2. the premiere of s2 literally has her going through the stages of grief in order, and that foreshadows the next few episodes pretty well for her. she’s not happy, and stuck in a rut, and everyone can see it—the other fellows, house, wilson, even the TB doctor. and it’s not like she’s going to just pack up and leave—she’s worked hard to get where she is! she’s fought so hard to be taken seriously! it’s got to mean something! and i think she’s been feeling that way a while (for example, why does a person like cameron apply for a job under house in the first place? he’s the best there is, but they have very different beliefs and attitudes towards patients, and when she finally leaves the fellowship she turns around and ends up doing something completely unrelated—i think it’s because she’s looking for meaning even back then). hunting is such a great episode because it brings to a head what’s been bubbling under the surface for a while now: secretly, a part of cameron does want to change. she suddenly has the perfect excuse to throw caution to the wind and do something different. and it’s tragic because of course it turns out that the patient is lying to her, that he’s just as unhappy as she is even with all the partying and casual sex, and ultimately cameron comes away from that episode with a better understanding of herself but…she’s still unhappy, you know? she’s determined to act like it didn’t happen and move forward. and the great thing about a time loop is that it forces you to confront things. the only way out is through. that’s why the loop is set the day after she does the meth, and not the day before: if cameron were stuck in a loop of that day, the first thing she’d realistically do is. Not do the meth. and not call chase. and since the main point of this fic is to force her to confront the aftermath of that, it has to be the day after. she can’t change the past, but she can (and will!) change how she deals with it.

i’m also interested in hunting because of cameron and chase’s conversation in lockdown, when she tells him that she slept with him on meth because she was starting to already have feelings for him and it scared her and she pushed it away. because like. this is entirely characteristic of cameron. i 100% believe this is what happened. there is also zero fucking evidence from the writing that this is what happened. there are occasional callbacks to cameron’s HIV scare later in s2, and the fact that she’s slept with chase before gets brought up in s3 during the fwb era, but between hunting and insensitive cameron and chase basically act like none of it ever happened and most of the s2 drama is between cameron and foreman instead. so this is kind of a fix-it, as well: i’m bringing those feelings to the surface and making chameron happen earlier because this time there is no running away. the fallout of this is gonna vary—@all-pacas wrote up a very good meta recently about how chase’s provoking of the patient’s brother into suing him in the mistake very likely happened a day or two after he slept with cameron, and therefore that might not happen if him and cameron actually TALK ABOUT THINGS and he doesn’t hoard up more guilt and frustration—but there will be a happy-ish ending. i say ish because ultimately this isn’t really a ‘shipfic’ and therefore things will be a bit messier than they are in, say, groundhog day, but the fic will end with them together and things will be better than they were at the beginning.

anyway this fic is so crazy fun to write for a lot of reasons, but what has really taken me by surprise is how much i’m enjoying writing FOREMAN into this fic. cameron is spiralling (time loop) and chase is concerned and house is intrigued and meanwhile foreman is just stood in the corner going ‘guys 🤨 anyone gonna fill me in 🤨’. one of my fave parts of the first chapter is the section where cameron starts drawing a clock to see if she has encephalitis and then is like ‘wait the clock will look normal to me anyway. What if i email it to foreman. Nevermind he’s going to think i’m insane’ lmaoo. foreman and cameron were actually decent friends in s1 (never forget him shovel talking house and saying he considers her a friend) until articlegate, and in s3 it’s revealed he knows she has a brother (and chase didn’t!), so i’m putting foreman/cameron friendship BACK ON THE MENU. he will probably still steal her article anyway but she wouldnt be as mad about it. not that this fic is going to cover articlegate but yknow

As I promised (I forgot exactly when I promised it lol), I will now explain (as much as I can), what is actually Dieselpunk (for the sake of my MurderDrones Au and the curious people who need some clarification), cuz Dieselpunk deserves more attention!!

Also, if I quote/state something wrong please tell me cuz I’m in no way any professional researcher I’m literally writing this instead of doin’ my homework (I'm literally an automatic-meat-robot-being who is fuelled by caffeine and stress), like geez, but anyway, let's dive into this wonderful distopy

What is it?

Some of you may already know the term Retrofuturism. Is a philosophy, an artistic movement, almost a religion. The future from a past time. It doesn’t need to be accurate with the historical context. (But it can be if you feel like it tho) You can do whatever the hell you want, of course. That’s the magic of the genre.  

You put old dreams and nostalgia with a big cup of epic technology in a blender and voilá. That’s retrofuturism. You don’t just make a new future, you take the past and convert it to something different and unique.

Of course there are like a lot of variations of the concept of retrofuturism, but for now we’re sticking with the Dieselpunk one.

Well, that’s what the Dieselpunk Encyclopedia says, but of course, that’s not everything about the genre. It's just the surface. The tip of the iceberg. The basics. The general overview.

Where it came from?

You may think ‘’Oh well, like the steampunk, came from an epic book or something-’’ Well, no. (At least that’s according to my sources* LoL)

Is pretty fucking funny cuz this genre at the very beginning it was more like a random tag for an rpg game (Children of the Sun, 2001) who has the peculiar concept of Magic and Sience as one, like something very unique, using the aesthetic of the 20’s and 30’s. It was more like a strat for marketing than a retrofuturistic project back then.

It was thanks to the fans that this genre emerged like a ucronic-post-war thing. The magic was cut out of the equation, giving us the dystopian warfare landscape that we know as Dieselpunk. 

The thing here Is that (as I said before) that u can actually be not historically accurate as long as your context is defined by a war, taking elements from the crazy 20’s, art deco, and, of course, gasoline (You can’t have a Dieselpunk without gasoline! It’s like a Stempunk without steam, everyone knows that ofc /j) 

The way that society behaves because of the war is one of the main things that are a “must be” in the genre. Post war, hope, guns, gasoline, mafias and drama are the spice of this soup. This is the real magic.

That's a great trio to follow up with though. Those four combined are barely similar /lh You've got the two pokemon AUs and the two ingos in the Oldest Guy Ever club. You love to see it.

But no seriously, this is a serious all star team of favorites. I haven't elaborated on a lot of them beyond the masterlist posts I made, which is super on me, but Steady Tracks, Combee AU and Spirit Keeper Ingo are three of my oldest AUs. By extensionm they're also the ones I am most emotionally attached to. I don't know what form/s it will come in, but spirit keeper and combees are DEFINITELY getting more stuff eventually. I just have to figure out. How. and what, and when.

Fossil AU is one of the ones I've had a while but only started developing more recently, so it's currently in my head all the time. I wish I could elaborate on it but unfortunately it is in the stage of mental illness where I have no idea how to talk about it or explain it to anyone outside of two (2) very close friends. that will absolutely fucking happen though i still stare at that drawing i made a few months ago with fossil ingo and little pearl. i'd fucking kill for little pearl so we're clear. I'm so unwell about fossil it's just in the intangible inexplicable kind of way currently

Downside of having all these AUs is that they all exist in different forms in my head. Spirit keeper is probably supposed to be a comic, but might also end up having longer fic-like sections. Combee AU i want to be a fic i think, but I haven't actually WRITTEN anything for it in SO long. it's gotten swept under the artistic rug in favor of silly doodles. Steady tracks is in eternal hell under the curse, as we all know (nodding sagely)((ITS GOING TO BE FUCKING FREE SOON SO HELP ME GOD)) and I'll be honest I haven't thought about fossil au long enough for it to have a solid medium, but i feel like looser doodle comics would be fun. Or maybe more Big Cool Artwork + smaller written thing. Unsure.

But like, god forbid we talk about Mecha AU or Coupled Uncoupled. The original timeline of the mecha au is an official pokemon animated feature-length movie in my head. I have since developed it in a different direction and I have no idea what the hell I'm gonna do with that. There may or may not be a fully 3D animated goodbye to a world animation for that in the next 3 years because i learned how to model and animate in blender and my power is now unlimited. Coupled (Uncoupled) is a series of Long Fics (like, steady tracks long) mixed with song animatics and animation memes. That thing is so not going to end up being told in the form it exists as in my brain. Many of the other aus are like this

It's currently being sidelined in favor of the chapter itself and a 2d artwork I'm doing, but some day he'll be Real. I've got everything modeled except for his legs (hell) and prat of his head (also hell but less) so that's at least something

Far From A Nightmare

"Hello Dean."

Dean turned around. "Hey Cas." He said. He was sitting at a dock, beer in hand. It was peacefull; so far, this had been a good dream. With Cas here, it would be a better one. He smiled. Wordlessly handed him a beer as Cas sat down next to him.

They sat there for a while in comfortable silence. Dean liked this kind of dream. The kind that didn't immediatly fade from memory once he woke up, the kind that felt linear and realistic rather than like if someone took all his different trauma's -childhood fears, his time in Hell, Purgatory, Sammy dying, Cas dying, Lucifer, Michael, everything- and put them through a blender, one bleeding into another untill he woke up covered in sweat and the dream was erased from his memory. Yeah, this was a good dream.

Dean watched the sunset. "Ahhhh..." he exhaled, scooting down lower in his chair, relaxing his muscles. He didn't have dreams like these often. Best to savour them. "I love you." He said, because he could. Because this was in his head and he wouldn't have to deal with the repercussions of it. Because dream-Cas would just smile and say he loved him too, and it would be fake but Dean would pretend for a minute.

Sometimes, he had dreams about Cas. The dirty kind of dreams. The kind where Cas pushed him against a wall and plunged his tongue into Dean's mouth and claimed him from the inside untill Dean's vocabulary came down to one word. 'Cas'. Sometimes he had sweet dreams about Cas. The kind where they were married,or making breakfast, or on vacation together. The kind where he was allowed to wrap his arms around Cas from behind and give him a kiss. The kind where Cas looked at him like he looked at Cas, minus the guilt. Sometimes he had peacefull dreams about Cas. Dreams where they just sat, side-by-side, comfortable and content, drinking beer or watching something or listening to Cas go on about something he wasn't paying attention to. Sometimes dreams about Cas turned into nightmares. Cas would die, or Cas would be Lucifer, or Cas would yell at him for ever thinking he deserved to be loved, or Cas would get harsh- hurt him. Wouldn't listen when he said no. Would do the things Alistair used to.

This time, dream-Cas just turned to look at him in shock, and Dean's stomach acid crawled up his throat because it felt like the dream was about to turn sour. Instead, Cas just whispered, "You love me?" in astonished awe. Dean smiled loosely again, still untrusting but comfortable again. "Of course I love you. You're my angel. Well, the dream-version, anyway." He sipped his beer again.

Understanding made it's way to the angel's face, along with.. adoration? Fondness? Love?. "Dean, I'm not a part of your dream. I'm.. me. I'm dreamwalking. Sorry if that was.. I didn't mean to intrude.."

Dean spit back his beer and stared at Cas. "You're Cas?"

"Yes."

"Real-life, actual Angel, not part of my dreams Cas?"

"..Yes."

"And.. I just actually told you that I love you?"

"Yes, Dean."

"And you're not freaking out? Not leaving? You don't hate me?"

"No Dean, of course not. I would never hate you. I- I'll leave if you want me to-"

"No! Don't- Don't leave. Just uh.. I don't know."

"Dean. You do know that I love you, too."

Ok so they're making "come to me" (Lestat's phrase for Louis) Armand's to Lestat now.

Nicolas- drinking, worried about being caught, but smiles at the idea. Ok. ok.

I'm into this vamp fight but Armand looks a little silly when he bares his fangs.

That's it? That's fucking it? That's the whole kidnapping? No stalking, no taunting? He just kind of...throws Lestat once and it's over?

I know the reason Lestat suddenly knows about their cross phobia is Armand is editing the tale and skipping over parts but it's still really abrupt. This is one of the most climactic scenes in the book. I don't really get the point of showing it in an abridged, watered-down way first just to have the "better" version in a later season presumably.

Also, sure Armand, they destroyed themselves. uh huh.

Love how Armand and Lestat talk abot Nicolas' fragility when the audience has seen literally 0 of his mental health struggles. Great storytelling, y'all. /sarcasm

And, there it is, Lestat coming up with the theater idea. Hate it hate it, hate it, stop giving him credit.

Also, the story Armand is going with is really "Lestat just left" with no mention of Marius or even Lestat's fight with Nicki? To say nothing of Gabrielle.

Why is Louis just...fine with Armand not letting Claudia look him in the eye? Armand outright calls it abuse.

I should be so excited to see Louis and Armand debating the nature of good and evil, that is so much their thing. But having not seen it from Louis much before this, it feels kind of out of place or tacked on.

'I've known the whole time and was just waiting for you to admit it' is a hell of a red flag that i'm sure Louis will ignore.

So is...Louis making out with a halluciation? Imagining gentle touches or hearing Lestat's voice is one thing but what is the point of this?

Why are they faking like Armand's going to kill Louis when w know he doesn't?

In the books, Armand kills Claudia because he's possessive of Lou's love, and uses the laws as an excuse. Here, they haven't real;y established that jealousy? Claudia gets on well with the coven and Louis and Armand get their romantic walks. Just having them kill Claudia for the laws will feel kind of like a waste. They need a lot more setup to justify this.

Eh. my overall opinion is very similar to m complaints of the first season. One, that they keep using easter eggs as adaptation bonus points. Two, that while a story can play with perspective and unreliable narrators and be good, it undercuts the effect if the narrative is 'here's a bad version of the story, aren't you excited for the better one later'.

Ohho, I think I answered a similar ask a while back, so maybe I'll answer with a different sort of flavor (hah. a wordly play)! Maia does definitely enjoy sweets, at least a normal amount as most anyone does! Some spice is all right, but she does wimp out a little quicker than she'd like. Her usual diet tends to skew towards reliable, easy foods... but on Treatful occasions, I think she'd try and splurge for a savory pie and a sweet dessert from the local Rosewood bakery. You know, actually eat there, all fancy-like and cozy.

On the flip of that, Audric likes most foods, very much enjoys spice, and spends a good amount of his time trying to get the (heathens around him to eat something that can actually be qualified as Nutrition. Food. You can't just live off of Taffy, and you can't just live off of Canned Cheezy Squirmios. How did you get it on the ceiling? What do you mean you lost the lid to the blender? What the hell were you blending it WITH?) ... Anyway, he'll get back to you when food sounds appetizing again. Elias has a nasty sweet tooth, though he can be overly picky with most everything else. He never said anyone could live off of just taffy. The accusation is absurd. Taffy is only a decent enough snack if it's available, the real deal would be one of those decadent ever-flowing fondue falls, a world's pastry tour awaiting the fondue falls of enchanted chocolate mélange. But that's not going to happen, and those sort of events tend to be crowded, and full of Things Best Avoided, so, for now, a sundae will do.

Visual Intrigue: Adding and Animating Basalt Pillars

As much as I liked how the exterior of the court was coming along, I could not shake the feeling that something was missing. Visually, it looked polished and atmospheric, but emotionally, it felt too calm. Too serene. And that directly conflicted with the kind of dread and unease I want the film to carry from its very first shots.

Since the court is the deciding space between heaven and hell, I started thinking more about its actual placement in this surreal world. Heaven, in my film, is distant and unreachable. It is far beyond even the court's domain. But hell? Hell is close. Almost too close. So it made sense that the court should feel like it is perched on top of something dangerous — something restless.

That is where the idea came in to place the court directly above the entrance to hell. I wanted the audience to feel that presence, not through direct visuals of fire or lava, but through geological formations that hint at something bubbling underneath the surface.

I began researching basalt pillars — also known as columnar basalt. These are real geological formations that occur when lava cools and fractures, forming tall, vertical columns that are often hexagonal or polygonal in shape. They look like they are growing from the ground itself, unnatural but organic at the same time.

I thought this would be a perfect way to show that hell is not just below — it is rising. These basalt pillars would be growing out from the ocean floor beneath the court, as if the underworld is growing impatient. As if it is eager to claim more souls. That creeping, upward motion adds to the sense that time is running out, and judgment is closing in.

I began designing the pillars in Blender and to do so I used curves as the foundation, animating them with the start and end mapping settings in the curve properties to simulate the pillars growing from the ocean floor. By lowering the curve’s resolution, I was able to achieve the angular, hexagonal shapes that give real basalt columns their signature look.

Texture played a huge role in making these pillars feel alive and distinct. I built a custom shader node setup to procedurally control where the pillars burn with fire and where they cool down as they rise. As they reach the ocean’s surface and breach into open air, they shift in appearance.

What is interesting here is that the burning and cooling logic is intentionally reversed, normally, lava would cool in water and burn in air. But here, it is the opposite. That subtle surrealism reinforces that this is not a normal ocean. The rules here are different. They bend in ways that hint at something more sinister under the surface.

The texture itself is also a direct reference to the statue of disloyalty, which erupts during the climax of the film. The bright red glow seen in the cracks of the pillars, mirror the red that flashes in the eyes of all eight statues during judgment. These are intentional links, visual cues that tie the world together and trace everything back to hell, disloyalty, and consequence.

Once I was happy with the animation and look of the pillars, I added the sound design to finish the shot. With the audio and visuals working together, the entire moment feels more grounded in the world I am building. The pillars are no longer just environmental decoration, they are foreshadowing. They are a warning.

Random Thoughts on OCD.

OCD forces me to make connections.

Most people experience intrusive thoughts in some way, some times. The best way to deal with it is to think about something else, disconnected from the original train of thought.

It becomes OCD when it's a helicopter of thought. You have no fucking clue where it's gonna go, and it can go ANYWHERE.

My brain forces the connection whether or not I want to. It has this primal need to make everything connect logically in my mind. But not, like, real world logic. Very messy, furled up, even downright deceitful logic.

This can lead to very violent, terrifying, taboo thoughts that I DO NOT LIKE.

It's an important distinction, because in an OCD adults mind, they *know* the brains logic doesn't make any sense.

So when I pick up a knife to cut some cheese, and my brain goes "you could walk into the other room and stab someone.", it's not some secret desire I'm trying to convince myself to not do. Before I was diagnosed, it was terrifying, made me scared of the world.

And myself.

But 10 years down the line, after therapy and medication, now I understand why. Hopefully if someone reads this and really resonates with them, they'll seek out help. Don't ask me though, I'm just a rando with no actual qualifications.

So here's what I've learned about my OCD®.

OCD Has 2 components - The Obsession™, and the Compulsion℠.

The obsession is usually some great consequence you'd like to avoid. For me, it's accidents. Any kind, car, falling down some stairs, tripping with- or accidentally turning into someone with- a knife, just something I have no idea about blindsiding me. Or really anyone.

The Compulsion is your brains way to avoid the consequence. My compulsions come down to avoidance (scared of risk) and always trying to predict what accidents could happen. Now, what my brain perceives as "could happen" is not always consistent or "real-world logical".

The risk assessment part of my brain is way too sensitive! Even something I KNOW has a VERY, VERY small percent chance of going wrong I get anxious.

It'll make up some horrific way to accidentally trip so I lose my hand in the blender, then have the AUDACITY to tell me "Hey better not risk it. Don't use the blender."

Like what a cunt. GOD.

The Obsession *drives* the compulsion. There's a song by Trevor Moore I absolutely adore that helps illustrate how disconnected from reality the connections *are*. Triggers for harmful sounding... thoughts? Oh and the R-slur.

It really can be just whatever the hell your brain feels like.

But it's not all bad.

Like most other things in life, a negative can be channeled into a positive.

I'm pretty well known as being "the funny one" of the group, with a fondness of puns and word association based humor.

A lot of jokes I make boil down to:

Connecting/referencing to a wildly different piece of media. Connecting a word to something else - usually in a stupid way. I've had it called my "bimbo routine", and hereafter will refer to it as such.

Puns are literally part of how I cope.

I also think I'm alright at writing, English was my strong suit in school after all - though I haven't written like this in a long time.

My sketching style is very recognizable so it's 100% my art style but I think it's interesting how things like the shape of the eyelashes, thickness of the eyelashes, underlashes, and how the eyes and rings in the eyes are drawn make my drawings give off a different vibe

Cuz I'm using the same art style for all of these doodles. I tend to draw the eyes of sharper tsurime-eyed meow meow mf charas the same way. I just do the details differently depending on the character

VRoid Rambles

I watched a bunch of FGO MMD videos (of Douman, Oberon, and Morgan), and now I feel tempted to try my hand at making MMD models for my faves (Selena, Tatsumiya, Idate) in VRoid Studio…

I wanna make 3D models so I can make my faves dance in MMD Selena and IdaTatsu MMDs you will be real someday…

I'd use VRoid Studio because it provides bases for hair and clothing, and I don't feel like using Blender tbh

Also I watched a bunch of VRoid Studio model making tutorial videos, it's way easier than I thought. Most of it is honestly just drawing normally and using preset assets as a guide

Thank god FGO being so big and Douman and Oberon's huge popularity means that people will definitely make MMD models for them

JP fans have already made models of many FGO charas, so I can play around with them. I can make LimGuda and ObeGuda MMDs… It's common practice in the MMD community to credit all the assets you use: Models, Camera, Dance Motions, Stages, Lighting Effects, etc.

I saw JP users say they made 3D models of FGO charas (such as Douman and Oberon) with programs like VRoid Studio or Blender. So it's totally doable

It'd be kinda fun to try making MMD models for my FGO faves in the future too, but not now

Especially with how detailed their designs are (especially Douman's)

Imo Douman is way harder than Idate because of their hair and outfit

I personally prefer Cantarella fan covers (VOCALOID/UTAU and human fan-covers) over the original due to stronger tuning/mixing

But Cantarella's instrumentals are excellent

The original Cantarella MMD has a dance section. I love the little spin and jump in the air and landing on the ground, I think that fits my faves more

The remastered Cantarella ~grace edition~ has a violin playing part which is aesthetically nice

ok I finished my rewatch here is the S1 recap brought to you by my brain juices having been put in a blender after that. I will tell you guys, rewatching S1 after watching S2 is so incredibly rewarding this show is just. really good!! it is!! now here are my various disorganized thoughts:

shannon's death scene is so much more hard-hitting on a rewatch. the way when she's being carried she asks for mary then reaches for her is so incredibly intimate she's surrounded by her sisters but she wants mary at her side and the ensuing goodbyes are very much heart-wrenching and there is NO way to read shannon/mary as not romantic especially since we later get hints from everyone that it was pretty much an open secret? everyone knew their relationship was special. props to the cast for delivering such an emotional scene that comes this early in the show (the tear falling from beatrice's face to land on shannon's as she kisses her forehead and says "I'll miss you, sister" is just. Cinéma. Filmé)

the way it is stressed time and again that resurrection is something the halo provides specifically for ava. there's also the way there's a direct parallel with areala bc they're both the only warrior nuns to have received the halo AGAINST their wills and I think you could say resurrection happened for areala too which is very interesting and very neat (the way these two bookend the cycle of warrior nun being fed into the church killing machine)

the way it is basically textual that vincent was the drunk driver that caused ava's accident and that is INSANE. they're both at the center of how the trajectory of their lives was fundamentally rewritten and they're both the cause that sets them on their path. vincent becomes her father figure and develops genuine affection for her and he fills a place in her life that has always been empty before and this really sets the scene for their S2 interactions.

on the topic of vincent there are so many scenes where he stands around in apparent deep meditation and comes afterwards with answers or a set course and those are literally the moments he gets his visions/messages from adriel and it happens right under our noses and we're none the wiser!! you only catch it on rewatch

ava's bisexuality is hinted at so early like literally the first person to hit on her and offer her a drink is a girl!! and then when she escapes the cat's cradle she says "I'm gonna make love to" pointed look at a girl "someone" like it was there right at the beginning

JC is the best person to have a first lay with! I am a person who subscribes to ship having to be each other's true loves not necessarily their first loves and JC was safe and harmless enough for ava to explore things that were denied her in her past life (sexuality, desire, infatuation) bc in the grand scheme of things JC does not matter. and ava subconsciously KNOWS this. ava is never 100% vulnerable or open with JC and not just bc of, you know, the supernatural things happening around and to her constantly but even the most basic information abt herself she withholds for a LONG time. JC is very interesting thematically bc he's what ava thinks freedom looks like and what she thinks she wants but absolutely not what she needs (which is basically what she explores all throughout S1). He's an uprooted vagrant person not beholden to anyone but his own whims but that means he never develops any significant bonds there's no purpose and no real belonging with him. Hell, he leaves his partners of 18 months for ava who he met a week ago. His entire character is based on leaving whereas ava wants, deep down, someone who will stay for and with her. all throughout.

the vincent monologue at the end of episode 1 hits different on a rewatch "prophets are hard to come by in these times" and he went and fashioned himself into one!! this whole things has been him trying to find a type of salvation that the church does not offer him!! especially since he's haunted by who he was in the past and when he joined the OCS he thought maybe this darkness is a demon that can be exorcised and confronted that it was in fact all him he wanted a miracle powerful enough to banish that very darkness. adriel probably sensed that vulnerability in him and came to him in visions using that to get him onboard

mary's whole s1 arc is basically that tough action guy whose wife gets killed and he goes on a rampage to find out who did it and why. she's a female john wick. which. again. I am puzzled by the fact that shannon and mary was apparently not written to read as romantic?? my dearest people you WROTE it that way. you tapped into the romance tropes.

lilith is somehow both an eldest daughter (derogatory) and a middle child (derogatory). and also a bitch and a delight and I love her so much

JC. repeatedly. and I say. REPEATEDLY. offers ava moments of vulnerability where he opens up abt himself and his life and ava offers NOTHING in return. ava is extremely guarded even as she wants him and only offers up her story when she has to and even then it's mostly to distract him from asking questions abt who the people after her are. and that's juxtaposed with how ava, after that very painful moment with mother superion and being offered comfort from beatrice, legitimately opens up to beatrice almost instantly there. Beatrice hugs her once and ava is like I spent 12 years not feeling anything below my chest I didn't kill myself I have a very complicated relationship with nuns and thus catholicism bc I wasn't treated well like the contrast there is mindblowing.

bringing me to my next point: ava instinctively: 1/knows beatrice is safe, 2/knows she is safe with beatrice, 3/ wants to trust beatrice SO BAD. and she wants intensely, for beatrice to believe her and (then in the back end of season once they're paired up) to believe in her

ava fleeing the OCS is done so well bc in 24hrs she gets put through mother superion's psychological warfare, then she hears abt the previous halobearer who I'm sure she was picturing as someone of a certain age then sees the picture and realizes shannon died young, then she goes visiting the murals of the cat's cradle and all the warrior nuns are pictured young and fighting demons, constantly, AND THEN she reads that part abt how areala died her second death YOUNG too. she gets hit with the reality of this fate, the danger of it, the certainty of a death that'll come sooner rather than later as she's appointed humanity's champion while having to fight horrors beyond a normal human's comprehension constantly. ofc my girl bailed. it's all done so very well everything that has to do with ava's arc is insanely well written

jillian calls beatrice "a petite member of the clergy" when she sees the footage of beatrice taking out an entire security team and that is SO FUCKING FUNNY. imagine calling beatrice petite to her face

on that topic beatrice's hallway fight gets projected to a room full of journalists and I am obsessed with that. did she go viral on the internet were there memes abt ninja nuns going feral

all throughout when something happens that pushes against the Norms and Rules beatrice will question it and it can come off as cold but really it's bc Beatrice strives on structure!! if she has to step outside the bounds of it, it better be righteous and worth it. like when she asks if vincent is intent on not giving the halo to lilith and keeping it within ava and he says yes her first reflex is but lilith is next in line. but the politics. this isn't to say beatrice was FOR killing ava like the moment she hears it could kill her she's NOT down to take it away from her but everytime the Order of Things is challenged Beatrice has to be walked through as to why. and if it's WORTH it. which oh boy the way this ties to her S2 arc makes me slightly insane bc ava comes barreling through that structure and beatrice says yes. she is worth upending my whole world for anyway-

Which is NOT to say that beatrice will take well to any kind of authority you actually have to earn her respect otherwise beatrice has. absolutely. zero chill. the tone she takes with duretti who's the fucking CARDINAL. from VATICAN. a pope HOPEFUL?? she is polite yes but curt and cold and very much flirting with impertinence like duretti tries to seduce her into his clique the way he did lilith and it fails astronomically and she basically tells him to go fuck himself?? to A CARDINAL?? DIRECT OVERSIGHT OVER THE OCS?? FROM THE VATICAN??? "you may always count on me to remain faithful. to God." and did you call him a power hungry whore too did you give him the finger beatrice???????

Saturn’s Free CSP Brush Recommendations, Across the Web Edition

I may sell (sorry, obliged to shill) brushes now, but I still love me some free brushes & love to share them with people.  These are a bunch of cool brushes made by other people that you can use to build up a nice library of tools without having to spend any cash on, perfect if you’re new to CSP or are on a budget.  If you do download these, be sure to like them & give some love to the artist if you enjoy them. :D

All of these are on different sites, like Gumroad, Deviantart, Artstation, etc..  They’ll be organized by source on this post since most brushes posted are general packs with multiple different types of brushes (very nice). Tamberella’s Brushes - Fur, Foliage, Bookshelves, & northern lights, all nicely formated and easy to use for CSP.  Good variety.

Ronchan’s Brushes - he makes a lot of neat little brushes, great for illustrations, sketching, & art in general.  High recommend!

Scott’s Clip Studio Brushes - I mostly use the grease pencil from the big pack, but all of them are pretty good if you’re looking for a more traditional inking experience.

Cae’s Brushes - they’ve released a variety of cute painterly brushes that are fun to use.  You can either download the ones you want or all of them at once. :)

@pharanbrush‘s BorupenP - a really nice set for doodling.  If you enjoy the free set, check out their pencils & other sets if you have the spare cash. :D

Cheapcookiez Brushes Sets - I really like the blender in this set.  Comes with Sai brushes as well.

Trisketched Ink Brushes - 3 fun rough inkers for inky pieces.

CSP Painting Set - I like the gentle use of texture on the painting & sketching tools.  A real nice rounded out basic set.

Jason Piperberg’s Free Samples - It’s a nice sample pack of his bigger pack.  He likes using a lot of halftones in his art and it gives a fun bold look to his illustrations.  If you like drawing comics, I do suggest checking out his paid sets too.

Vierdz’s Brushes - I like the Halftone, clouds, & fish brushes the best, but all their brushes are nice.

Sebijy’s Clip Studio Paint Brush pack 2019 - It’s been a bit since I downloaded this pack but I remember I really enjoyed using the airbrushes.  Has some good painters & textures.  Also has a nice paid set if you enjoy the sample.

DAUB Pencils - A decent set of pencils.

Scrapefiend’s Free Brushes - There’s some real cool inkers Scrape released for free, I used them a bunch even before I purchased his bigger pack (also recommend).  Great ink looks that are fun to use & whip around!

“...Of the Wild” - A brushset based of the Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom Legend of Zelda games.  Great for copying the style or just painting in general (then again I might be biased because they used my public domain textures, bless).

PaPauloV’s Brushes - he was nice enough to optimize his brushes for both Photoshop & Clip Studio, as CSP sometimes has a weird time importing PS settings.  Another nice basic set!

LPZ Hell’s Stylistic Brushes - Fun for messy looks!  IIRC you can also find it in the Asset store.

Maria Pechenkina/ Mothka's Brushes: Artstation | DA - I love the pastels in this set. Lovely little dry set.

Mar’s Halftones ( & other brushes!) - Halftones with fun textures, now avaliable away from the CSP Asset store too!

Expressure Free Sample Sets: ArtStation | Gumroad | Ko-Fi - ZH has put a ton of effort into his sets, both the first & second.  Worth a try & even the free brushes are full of effort!

Roastedstix's Painting Sets - Really enjoy the green Goauche Brush Set.  Great addition to the already lovely CSP default Gouache.

Yettyen’s Sets - All her free Enviormental & decoration sets are great.  I also like her painters & scale Sets.  She has a Gumroad she releases brush sets for a dollar for, they’re also worth checking out along with her Ko-Fi!

Clip Studio Copic Brushes: Deviantart | Google Drive - These are some of my favorite marker painters out there.  Nice and easy to use with wonderful results, good blending.

Freckle Brushes - A nice varied set for freckle lovers.

The Inky Way’s Sets - TIW has been making brushes for clip for years & they’re all nice, honed sets that are fun to use.  Very high recommendation!

SerketXXI’s big set & their Danganronpa/Hetalia Brushes - A nice basic set with some nice decorators, as well as two good sets for making Danganronpa & Hetalia styled illustrations (obviously).  The brushes are also good for general useage.
