Red angel

Pixel art for today. Based on videogame Baryon for system MS DOS. This is shooter top down.

So I suggest you to look at my picture. That I make based on some screenshot. It is also arcade, shooter. In grey colors. So, like space base, moon, at earth some bases. Everything is in grey colors. And your character – red plane – red angel. It is burning everything like hurricane. I get understanding, that in shooter there is required dynamic. So as for me I am with a slow mind. And when I do programming, than I also like slow. In order to see everything ok, that is going on a screen.

But for good real action there is required speed and dynamic. That’s why you control red angel, and it can shoot with rockets with both side, and each side with two rockets. So pretty deadly mechanism. So, let it be a secret who is red angel. Some mystery and atmosphere. So it is, of course, about science and technology, there is no place for mystics here. Red Angel – it is you, by the way. Secret mission let it be.

All of these, with music like good synthpop. Dynamic and atmosphere. Synthesizers. But, also, that pulse mode is like rock music. For example, like Toxxify – Cyborg Chase. So, synthpop is also point of motivation for all of these shooters. So, also take a point, that you have megabombs in the left down corner. So it will be super strike. In order to have half of screen in burning flames. So, yes, lots of flames and burns. It is very required part. Grey background and light colors of red angel and lots of bright burnings.

I think, that with such fire power as Red Angel, you have nothing to fear. This is like tv-series from 80s – air wolf. But another way. Or like Knight Rider with its super advanced car. By the way, megabombs, I get from videogame Raptor Call of Shadows! Raptor is a cool game for MS DOS! I and my bro likes to play Raptor in MS DOS system. It is pity, that there is no next games in Raptor. For example 10-20 videogames the same style of actions. Theme is flying out!

Grey pseudo realism everything is under. Like base or surface like moon. Let it be everything in a near future. So it is first. And Soviet Union will exist. This is second. So, I also remember a videogame for NES – Mig 29 Soviet Fighter. I was also very excited, because of mainly it were games about different – F16,F18,F22,F117. But I am far from this theme. But about videogames, I was impressed about how many they are!

And story will be like action future format. So I liked a lot to fly in F22 – Lighting 2. Firm MicroProse from 90s by the way makes lots of them – simulations F16-F18. And later it become a NovaLogic to makes same style of games. So I am having installed for old PC – F22 Lighting 3. But I have never played it yet. So I support idea of this kind of games. In format of shooter or simulation.

So I get in memories. About action and shooters, simulations. And I wanted to tell about my picture, and what the way I try to see my game!

Things I've seen tumblr memeing about James Somerton doing à la "How did no one see how bigoted he was!" as if those things haven't been a significant part of tumblr culture for over a decade :

Presenting untrue and bordering on conspiratorial versions of (queer or otherwise marginalised) history without any sources

Completely disregarding and disrespecting any expertise on socio-cultural topics/humanities and distrusting academics and historians (incl. acting as if no academics or historians could be queer or marginalised)

Downplaying the role misogyny played in the historical oppression of queer women and concluding that queer men must have been more oppressed than queer women

Bi women are, at best, not as queer as "real" queer ppl, and at worst, simply equivalent to straight women

Despite nominal trans inclusivity, transmasculine ppl are functionally women when convenient (combined with the above, bi transmascs are functionally straight women)

Despite nominal trans inclusivity (bis), shamelessly attacking, threatening and actively endangering any trans woman who questions them or smth they find important (often by unfairly presenting her as violent or as a threat)

Having absolutely fucking wild and reductive takes about ace ppl, the oppression they face and their place in the queer community

Stating that marriage equality is an assimilationist fight while completely ignoring its direct roots in the horrifying consequences of the AIDS crisis for partners of ppl who died of AIDS

Praising western media creators from the past for queer coding even under censure and in the same breath condemning current non western media creators for being homophobic bc their representation isn't explicit enough

Blaming China for all existing homophobic censoring in western media

Assuming all queer media would be better told by western creators and by western standards

Only out queer ppl get to tell queer stories

Heavily criticising almost all queer media created by women or ppl they see as such (see above points about trans ppl) or involving/starring a significant amount of women for any perceived or real amount of "problematicness", but fawning over and praising and negating criticism of queer media created by and starring mostly or even functionally exclusively men (even when it could be argued that, you know, not involving/seriously sidelining women is a pretty clear example of misogyny which should probably be considered "problematic")

And I'm probably forgetting stuff or there's stuff I have internalised myself and don't recognise as an issue

Like idk but I feel like the takeaway from Hbomberguy and Toddintheshadow's videos should maybe be "be aware of such patterns in your communities bc they definitely exist" and not "this guy is uniquely awful" and I feel like a lot of the discussion I've seen surrounding this has been severely failing at that. Most ppl who've spent any significant amount of time on tumblr prob either have internalised at least one of those thought patterns, have had to de-internalise them, or have had to be extremely vigilant to not internalise them (which is done by, you know, seeking out other sources, which also seemed like an important takeaway from the videos)

Y'all know that whole trend that was going around social media with women calling their significant other by their full name? Yeah, that one. Yet another conversation was had, this time it was about the reactions your favorite babygurls would have if you called them by their full government name because of reasons. Maybe.

Capt. John Price - He's, uh, startled but not enough to drop his cigar this time. Does take a puff of it, though, before addressing you like it's the calm before the storm. Alex Keller - Actually did get into some shit. Does not answer the call of duty.

Soap - You hear 'ah, shit', heavy footsteps, probably a crash, and Soap's peeking his head out from the other room. Has a deer-in-headlights look about him. It was Gaz's fault, goddamnit. He's so adorable. It's enough to make you giggle.

Ghost - You get a grunt. And then it hits him. He stops doing whatever it is he's doing. Fuck, he knows that tone. Simon turns to look at you and he stares into your soul or something like that. What in the hell kind of made-up middle name is that? You spend the better part of a good minute staring each other down before you're all, "I love you ♥️," and Ghost groans and rolls his eyes and goes back to whatever it was he was doing. But not before he grunts out a "Love ya, too." in return.

Alejandro - This is one of the few things that'll actually faze the man. Will damn near break his neck turning to face you to see what's wrong and his eyes will be wide. Oh, the last time he heard his full name called like that was from his beloved grandmother and he'd gotten into some shit then, okay?

Rudy - Ducks his head. Doesn't show his face; he can't bear the sternness of your voice, your gaze. It wasn't him this time, he swears; it remains, though, the way you say his name, an echo in his mind: Ro-DOL-fo. Why'd you have the emphasize THAT part of his name, huh?

König - König.exe stops working. Actually does break something trying to get to you. His eyes are fucking saucers, okay? Oh shit, what did he do this time, Schatz? Are you getting him back after that one time he snuck up on you to surprise you and you dropped dinner? Did you find out about the time he accidentally messed up the laundry and the white clothes came out pink? WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO DO FIX THIS?! There was a teen in the cave.

A teen no one knows and looks like he could be a wayne, stands in the cave.

"Actually, I'm a wayne." He says with a shrug.

Bruce, Batman, carefully thinks of the implication.

"Not yet," The teen, Danny, doesn't say anything. Simple smiles. "You're not a wayne, yet. You will be. But not yet."

Then Bruce sighs, dropping the batman mask in order to take in the teen.

"Does future me know of the time travel?"

Dannys smile grows into a grin, deciding to take pity on the man. "You, grandbat, have..." He makes a vague gesture. "Theories, which none of your children ever confirmed."

"Who is it?" Jason demands, hand clenching his gun uselessly.

Danny continues to smile, a hint of mischief now peeking out.

And danny looks up at cass, adoration and pride laid out plain for her to see and accept.

And so they both watch the clan together, silent and comfortable.

(Cass doesn't question when she finds him, how and why. All she knows is that she's more attentive when out on patrol, looking and waiting.)
