Pop Up Rainstorm

Raindrops fall, fat and urgent pulling apart as they find terminal velocity Tiny bombs go off all over the pavement that seems to cook the constant barrage The smell in the air wants so badly to believe it

Silver gray clouds lazily cross the sky birds sing in the tiny summer shower it's almost misty enough to create rainbows all over prisms in a thousand gifts from the sky But the rain comes harder

Falling and slapping against plant and flesh alike and neither is hurt, but it's known to be heard from a few taps here and there to the sound of a bucket being dumped out of the clouds and just like that it's over

Finding peace in a pop up rainstorm
