Marinette receiving the Ladybug mantle was an absolute mistake. I watched the special, and honestly, gurl is doing the most—and for what? A guy? One dude, and she’s ready to throw her common sense out the window. Like, how has Hawkmoth/Gabriel not used his own son more often as leverage against her by now? That’s villainy 101, and he’s just sitting on it. Like for the amount of times I've seen this show rag on ChatNoir because of his weakness in romance when that Ladybug biggest weakness not CN lol.

At this point, I don’t even care about what Marinette’s going through. Whatever emotional investment I had in her? Long gone. She’s out here spinning lies on top of lies, desperately trying to hold together her crumbling Adrien-obsessed empire, and for what? She lost. Game over.

Now, if this were a story about a girl slowly getting corrupted, spiraling into villainy, and intentionally written as a downfall arc? No problem. That would’ve been a compelling narrative with a real lesson for kids about the consequences of obsession and dishonesty. But nope, instead we’re stuck with this mess where her choices make it harder and harder to root for her.

Marinette's speech at the press conference—“Ladybug holds the truth, she holds the truth” —had me scratching my head cause it sound more like a villain then a hero. Like, did the writers forget she’s supposed to have hero-like qualities? She’s meant to be the messenger, the symbol of hope, the hero. But how often does she actually display that in her own show?

Lately, it feels like being Ladybug is more of an obligatory chore for her than something that brings her real joy or fulfillment. Isn’t the whole point of magical girls to inspire, to help others, and to grow through their journey? Where’s the sense of accomplishment, the spark, the joy of making a difference? It’s like they’ve stripped her of everything that should make her role uplifting and meaningful.

I've seen here and there about how MC was never meant to come off that way or the writers are trying to make her more complex or how dare you do you dislike complex female characters or the most used it was never her intention to come off that way it was a mistake.

I want you to picture this without the music just dialogue cause i'm going to be clearcut about this.

Ladybug went to an orphaned, grieving child—one who had been locked away in solitary confinement, surrounded by nothing but white walls and being sensory deprived—and lied to him about his father being a hero. Let that sink in. Gabriel, who systematically abused his own son, was painted as a noble martyr by Ladybug.

Adrien, a kid who was finally starting to question his father’s authority, even beginning to tear down the oppressive image of the man who controlled and hurt him, is now trapped in an even tighter mental cage. After all, if Paris sees his father as a hero, a savior, how could he possibly feel justified in blaming or resenting the man? Gabriel is now a martyr in the eyes of the world, and Adrien is left to wrestle with guilt and shame for ever having cruel thoughts about someone everyone else idolizes.

Ladybug’s decision to perpetuate this lie doesn’t just protect Gabriel’s image—it messes with Adrien’s already fragile mind. Instead of helping him heal or giving him the freedom to process the truth, she’s reinforced the very chains Gabriel used to control him. It’s not heroic; it’s delusional and harmful, all in the name of preserving some twisted version of peace in her head.

You want me to feel pity for a girl who I'm sorry if I sound harsh to yall at the end of the day just want to keep the peace to fill her delusions that everything is going to work out in her part at the end when really she's just the worst type of coward there is when it comes to confrontations lmao. Accountability? She avoids them like they’re some kind of plague. It’s almost impressive how someone can masquerade as a hero while being utterly incapable of facing the hard truths. Lmao, sure, let’s all pity her.

Honestly, in the earlier seasons, at least Marinette seemed to feel bad about her mistakes. Now? She’s only gotten worse. I headcanon that receiving the Ladybug mantle or becoming the Guardian inflated her ego, giving her a power trip. With no proper mentor to hold her accountable and everyone automatically deferring to her leadership, who’s left to challenge her? Well maybe CN if he has the guts to do so but he'd rather cower into his shell lol.

In hindsight, I don’t think Marinette should’ve become Ladybug—not because she lacks the capability, but because the role itself seems to have worsened her as a person. Instead of growing into the hero I though she was meant to be, she’s devolved, losing some of the humility and self-awareness she had at the start of the series.

Let’s be real—we’re in Season 6 now, and we all know the writers aren’t going to make Marinette face any real consequences. The whole universe bends over backward to accommodate her. If you’ve seen Season 5, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

That said, I’ll give credit where it’s due: the special was fun. Yes, despite all my ranting, I actually enjoyed it because it was funny in its own way.

At this point, though, I’m only sticking around for Adrien and Lila. Honestly? I’m rooting for Lila to be the one to drop the truth bomb and expose everything. It would be chef’s kiss poetic if she ended up being the one to set things straight. Lmao.

P.s For anyone who thinks there is a dilemma to be had about the whole thing its really not lol rip the bandaid off.

It reeks of a megalomaniac in the making, making her come off like a gaslighting psychopath. Ironically, it reminds me of Gabriel—especially with the way he used similar wording. Honestly, are we sure Marinette isn’t Gabriel’s true daughter? Because the parallels are man.

I’m genuinely angry that she is the one everyone feels sorry for, and it’s only because the show is stuck in her perspective. If we spent even a fraction of the screen time on Adrien’s pain, it would make for a far more compelling story. It’s infuriating. Marinette isn’t some helpless sheep/damsel victim here—no one forced her into this role at gunpoint. She made her choices, knowingly and willingly. How dare she act like the weight of the world was thrust upon her without her consent? When she very much messed with a grieving kid here?

And yet, Adrien’s pain—real, tangible, and far more tragic—is constantly sidelined. He’s an orphan, being lied to by nearly everyone around him, adults and teens alike, and his suffering is treated as a subplot to Marinette’s endless drama. Why should the audience feel more for her than for the boy who’s lost everything? Why is his pain has to be centered to her??

This isn't a small mistake this has far reaching consequences if the show had the balls to do it to lie to the entire world over a man who terrorized on people fear.

If Adrien ever became a villain, I wouldn’t blame him. In fact, I’d understand and give him the free ticket to go ahead and cataclysm and burned the world .

Recently i picked up a book i hadn't read in a long time for the past week i hadn't been able to work properly my tasks were going unfinished so i opened my cupboard and saw that book right in front of me. Then i read the whole book in just a one night and it sparked inspiration in me ..So i thought why not share everything i learned with all of you?

"Why is my desire not here yet?"

This is one of the most common questions I see when it comes to manifesting. I see it often in asks on Tumblr, comments on TikTok and YouTube, and I used to ask myself the same thing. The thing is, there is one factor in why you find yourself asking this question. The factor is you are not living as if you have your desire.

You are the only thing keeping yourself from your desire. You are the only one making yourself wait. You are experiencing what you are thinking.

I understand this can come off as harsh, but it's really just the truth. Manifesting is easy, manifesting is something everyone can do even instantly because it's that easy. If you are not manifesting something, it's because of you. Now, how can you fix this problem within manifesting?

First, let's take a deep breath and collect ourselves, especially our thoughts. Because we can unintentionally self-sabotage. Don't feel pushed back or ashamed; there is no judgment here. This is to HELP you, NOT to shame you.

You are wavering/spiraling. This is the catalyst of not getting your desire. This can cause a WHOLE butterfly effect that'll effect your manifesting. There are so many ways how someone can waver and not realize they ever did. This is what causes you to not get your desire. I genuinely believe this is the only reason why people don't manifest at all or 'fast enough'.

·͙̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥̩̩̥͙ ✩ ̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥̩̩͙‧͙ What does wavering mean?

You are reacting to the undesirable. When you react to something that goes against your desire, it has the ability push out into your reality because you are so focused on it.

An example: You're manifesting for your SP, and you're doing a wonderful job so far. But one day, they speak to a 3rd party, and you just think about it. You're probably complaining to your best friend, maybe you're asking yourself "Why are they doing this? It shouldn't be like this–" "I thought I did this right–" and so forth.

·͙̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥̩̩̥͙ ✩ ̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥̩̩͙‧͙ What should you do when this happens?

First and foremost, collect yourself. If you see something undesirable, you may spiral like the manifestor in the example. If you do spiral, you let go of your control. Remember, you are in control of your reality. Why are you throwing it out of your hands? Why are you letting your control walk away from you? Take a deep breath, don't overthink it, it'll help you. It's best to avoid the spiral and wavering as a whole because LOA is thought based. We know this. No matter how much you have affirmed for the desire, you can affirm even more against your desire if you waver/spiral. You should not acknowledge the undesirable, if you want to, you can revise. You can do this by affirming "ABC didn't happen, XYZ actually happened–". Whenever I dealt with this I would revise once, as to avoid a potential spiral, and then continue to say I'm in the end. "Wow I'm so happy I have my desire–", "Isn't wonderful I have XYZ", etc. And sometimes, I would even visualize for good measure. Something to avoid completely– do not complain to other parties about the undesirable, do not complain in your head about the undesirable. You already have it, why are you complaining? Also, especially do not feel discouraged because you did an oopsie. People, especially beginners, make mistakes it's okay.

You are a powerful manifestor, you are able to manifest anything you want because you are that powerful.

It's okay if you don't realize you have done this or are even doing it right now. You just need to be more aware of your thoughts, you just need to combat the undesirable thoughts, and you have to learn to have good self discipline.

Once you take accountability and learn from the oopsies. You can manifest as much as you want, as fast you want, and whatever you want. It is not hard, I promise you. It's not hard. You have to remember YOU ARE IN CONTROL. YOU ARE POWERFUL. THIS IS YOUR REALITY. YOU CAN MANIFEST BECAUSE YOU ARE EVEN READING THIS.

You know about LOA, there are people that will never know about it. Be proud you even know it. Don't be insecure, don't be second guessing, you can do it. Take pride in manifesting, take pride you are taking accountability and bettering yourself. Remember, you are in control. THIS IS ALL YOU.

And for those who are religious but believe in LOA, see it as God or your higher power blessing you with this knowledge. Have pride they handed you this. Have pride they are gifting you this control and this gift. You have this gift of having more control in your life. This can help potential guilt you feel, maybe you're wavering because of that.

You are powerful, you are in control. Realize that and own it.

YOU ARE POWERFUL. I cannot stress that enough. Do not let wavering or spiraling EVER discourage you. Now that you know, deep breathes, try again. You got this.

Day 2: Stuck in Love Triangle (Werewolf!Katsuki Bakugou X Human!Reader X Vampire!Izuku Midoriya)

University AU mixed with supernatural au

"I didn't know!" 

You groaned into your pillow surrounded by friends that you have made during your time in university, despite being transfer students from different institutions. 

Despite being the other human aside of Ochako in the friend group, you felt more belonged here than other friend groups that you had before. It could be that you did not have to lie about what your parents really do for a living. You were more neutral when it comes to supernatural creatures unlike your family who hates any of them. 

You knew this university was filled with monsters but acted like you do not know anything and put on realistic reactions when it comes to those things. You always wanted to attend this university for their amazing programs but were not able to due to being a human along with having blood ties to hunters in the area. You jumped on the opportunity after hearing it through the grapevine of the hunters’ communities that they are going to start accepting humans to avoid the suspicion of the government. 

You were expecting to be pulled into the supernatural realm, but not this deep. Everyone knows you are connected to hunters deep within the government. The turning point was when you were making a scene at a nightclub giving the time for your friends and other monsters to become organized to show no signs of being a monster. You did not say anything with the expectation of throwing a makeup bag that was filled with jewelry that looked like silver, but it was not, before walking away and picking up a fight with a group of hunters. 

You know that group of hunters which is why you were using your prestigious status and making a scene. You are blaming the alcoholic because you are bold in what you are doing in front of them. 

Silver jewelry was more of a physical indicator for hunters that you are not a monster due to numerous creatures who are deathly allergic to that element. 

Ever since, sticking your neck out for them and almost getting into a fight with them since you are making them angry. Overnight, your public social media account gained thousands of followers. You do not know who it was spreading your social media handlers around, declaring that you were a safe individual to be around. Ever since you would get occasional messages about how to get out of traps in exchange for money. You responded to the best of your ability. 

As time went by and gained more friends mainly because of Mina who was a social butterfly. You were not expecting to get a phone call from a panicked Kirishima claiming that Bakugou was struck on high advanced bear traps that could not be pulled with brutal strength. It was one of those that needed a key to open. The traps are becoming more advanced with time, thankfully for their luck. You do have a universal key to it if it does not work. You will have the right tools to get him out of there.

You were not blind towards the behavior change of Bakugou. He had become more trusting after you got him out of the wolf trap and gave him a handmade ointment to reactivate his healing abilities due to the poison that was laced on the tap. You safely took the trap and put it in a bag for them to turn into the dean of the university since it was on the university soil rather than public. 

Fate worked in an interesting way, because you and Bakugou had more interactions throughout campus aside from friends afterwards. The forced group projects from the same shared classes and sports to get funding for our respected fraternities and sororities. It was inevitable for the two of you to become friends, aside from having common friends. It was more of a respectful and sometimes competitive friendship between the two of you. 

As for Izuku, you recognized that boy immediately with his green hair and freckles, but it was clear that he was not the same person that you have gotten to know throughout your life and spent time together during high school. 

The two of you met through your mother who knew his mother. They went to the same college together and now work at the same hospital. Izuku would come over to your house to play once and while when Inko could not find someone to babysit him during her night shifts. Your mother did not mind since you were homeschooled primarily through elementary up to middle school. You needed socialization. 

You know that he used to be human, because your house was covered with silver including doorknobs and such. It was the way he avoided your silver jewelry that was a key sign of something happening to him. The food that your mother cooks have things to build your immune system, something when it comes to monster saliva or poison. He never had a deathly allergic reaction to them.

There was a different vibe around him that was dangerous if your instincts were right. He often tried to make himself smaller at times when you gave him a weird look more often. You know why because he knows your instincts and senses are sharp due to your training with your parents. He was trying to make his presence less threatening. 

After the nightclub and being pulled away by Izuku from the situation. The hunters recognized Izuku since he spent time together in your house. Izuku was too smooth at lying in comparison to the Izuku you used to know who struggled to keep up a lie. 

But at the same time, a lot can change within 2 years since the two of you have been apart. Did it make you lose trust in Izuku? A little bit, he somehow gained the ability to lie through his teeth and be a smooth talker to get out of trouble. It makes you realize that you really do not know the current Izuku which results in you talking to him during the ride back home. The fake silver cuffs in his ears were the confirmation that you needed that something did happen to him. 

He needed to be honest with him if he were to keep his friendship with you. You wanted to get to know his current self-more than the person you used to know.

Izuku changed his behavior. He was still Izuku but came to find out that he was a little shit who loves to talk back and mischievous. He is more confident in himself and bolder at times. He was quite charming and often used it to his advantage. He stopped being scared, being around and standing tall. He started carrying a metal bottle that matched Shoto's. It did not take long for you to realize that he had become a vampire. 

You did not treat him any differently, but there were times that you were reduced to speechless to the things that he has said. He fried your brain for a second, before you could produce a good comeback. 

But the realization finally fell on you after Mina pointed out that those two were sending signs that they liked you in their own way. They were competing for your affection. You have been oblivious to this entire time. 

"You think Bakugou cooks for his friends often. Hell no. He even let you drive his precious Porsche! He never let anyone else drive it. Standing behind you like a loyal guard dog when you are negotiating or anything." Mina looks at you increasingly dumbfounded as you refuse to look from your pillow. 

"And Izuku is the most possessive person when it comes to his special edition things. He willingly gives up his clothes for you to wear his clothes. Izuku is the most outright of his attraction towards you, but it is the most expected since you did grow up together-"

"He threatened that bar guy at the Halloween party with the fakest sweet smile on his face who tried to inappropriately touch you on the dance floor when you were with us. He held that man's wrist in death grip and left a bruise on him" Momo says, making you look up from your pillow. 

"But he would do that for any of us. He is a gentleman." 

Mina rolls her eyes at you. "Tell that to the vampire who was watching all night long to get his jaw broken when he came to you when you were clearly drunk. You were the stereotype of the perfect victim. Izuku was more aggressive than he needed to be, but he was sending a clear sign that you are off limit to the rest of the vampires."

You do remember hearing groaning behind you to see a man holding his face to only get pulled away with Izuku. He did not give you enough time to realize what happened. He did stand by your side for the rest of the night. He kept stealing the alcoholic drinks that you were given and drinking them as if it was nobody’s business. He was tipsy but not full out black out drunk. You accidentally gave heavy alcoholic drinks that are made for monsters, but it was surprising that you did not get sick after the first cup. 

"The important question is do you have any feelings or even attraction to either of them?" 

You return to burying your face into your pillow in defeat. They are both attractive in their own ways, but you never really thought about it. You also do not mind their monstrous appearance after seeing them out in the open during this year's Halloween party. You will never forget their faces after compliments of their appearance. 

You are just rethinking back of every interaction that you had to only feel stupid, because the signs were always there. You have seen both being protective of you in different scenarios. You will never see those two separate incidents being in the wrong place without realizing that you had placed yourself in a dangerous situation. You got lectured about it and being told what things to watch out for, so you do not yourself in those situations. 

Ever since, you sent them locations of places to make sure they are safe to walk in since you do live in a town that is filled with monsters and are not friendly with outsiders.

Is it bad that you like both? They are completely different from each other, but you have become comfortable with them and trust their judgement. As they have been comfortable with you and trusting their lives with you. 

You just groan in defeat.

a girl asked me to talk about my erasmus experience in the questions box and she inspired me to make this post. if you have posts to request don't be shy! unfortunately i don't have all the time i would like to uptade but i will try to keep up.

erasmus is a student mobility program of the european union that allows a european student to attend a school in another EU country for a period of time legally recognized by their home institution.

it is a temporary experience with many benefits, enabling students to engage with different cultures and customs. due to its non-permanent nature, i believe it is one of the most beautiful opportunities for a student to feel completely free to explore and understand themselves, to figure out what they want and do not want from their life and educational path.

but let’s start by discussing its downsides. unfortunately, not everything is perfect.

hey, i know, guys, i'm not the first or the only one to say this, but the paperwork for erasmus is a pain in the ass. it's not only extremely complicated, but universities (mine for sure, but i know it's a common experience) provide zero help in filling out the documentation. especially if you're not familiar with bureaucracy (and at 20 it’s normal not to be familiar with these things), it can seem like an insurmountable mountain. but if i, someone who doesn’t understand anything about this stuff, managed to get through it, you can do it too. typically, the documentation includes:

various information like ID, health card, and the IBAN of an account in your name (or joint name) where they will deposit the scholarship.

learning agreement, another plague sent from hell because you usually have to deal with two professors, one from your university and one from the host university, who clearly would prefer to mop the sea than help you fill out your learning agreement.

financial agreement for the scholarship, which has specific deadlines by which you need to submit documents (usually IBAN, learning agreement, and acceptance letter from the host university). fun fact: i almost missed this and didn’t receive the scholarship because these deadlines were buried deep in my university’s website (don’t be like me, make sure to be informed well about the financial agreement or you risk being left without money).

the best advice i can give you is to find someone from your university who has already done the erasmus where you’re supposed to go and ask them for some information. they, having gone through it, know what mistakes to avoid and what’s best to do. the offices often assume too many things and give you insufficient and hasty information.

𝟮. finding an accomodation ( 🏡 )

this too, another pain in the ass. it depends on the city, but here in madrid, finding a place to live has been a nightmare (and indeed, i've significantly overshot the budget i had set for rent). you have various options for accommodation:

student dormitories these solutions may seem the best at first glance, but they aren’t always. here in madrid, the fees for the dormitories at my campus cost more than my current rent, plus having only one kitchen for an entire floor is not exactly optimal comfort, especially if, like me, you cook a lot.

apartment studio/flat this is definitely the most comfortable option, but also the most expensive. a studio outside the center in big cities can cost up to €1000 a month. however, if you can afford it and prefer privacy, then go for it. at first, living alone might not be easy, especially if it’s your first time away from family, but you’ll get through it quickly.

room in an apartment this can be the best or the worst option depending on your luck because having flatmates means cohabitation, which is not always pleasant. if you're going in erasmus with someone you know, it might be optimal to share an apartment or take two rooms in a larger flat. personally, i rented a room in an apartment with three other people (two bathrooms and a kitchen), and i couldn’t be happier; i love my flatmates, and we quickly became friends. we cook together, go out together, spend entire evenings chatting and joking and they helped me a lot overcoming the first crisis. i realize, though, that i am an exception, so choose your accommodation carefully.

in short, consider your choice based on 3 factors:

proximity to the university/public transport links i study outside of madrid, almost an hour by bus from my place, but i live practically across from the bus stop, so it’s not a problem at all.

centrality/connection to the city center you're in erasmus to experience the city!

comfort of the place such as private bathroom (very hard to find but not impossible), utensils, AC, appliances (we have a dishwasher at home, and i assure you it saves our lives everytime).

𝟯. homesickness ( 🤧 )

yes, everyone feels homesick, even the most stoic. but guarantee you, you'll get through it. first of all erasmus, fortunately or unfortunately, isn’t forever. it’s a 6 month/1 year experience that is incredibly valuable for your personal growth, at the end of this period of time, you'll be back home. secondly, you can always stay in touch with friends and family in the age of technology. those who truly love you will support you in this project and do everything they can to make you feel less lonely. lastly, during erasmus, you’ll make many amazing friendships and connections that you otherwise would never have the chance to make.

𝟰. language barrier ( 🦜 )

i can’t say much about this, i've never studied spanish in my life, but, since i'm italian, i have no trouble following the lessons and understanding people when they speak, even though i'm still not able to express myself well in this new language. however, by living in another country, you’ll learn the language much faster and more effectively than with any academic course. in just a month, i already feel much more comfortable with spanish, and everyday i learn new things.

and of course, i could talk for hours about the benefits of erasmus, but i might save my praises for a post i'll write later, towards the end of this experience.

i can tell you that in just a month here, a whole new world has opened up for me. not only is the thrill of being in another city, in another country, an electrifying flow of continuous energy, but i’ve also realized things about myself that i might have ignored before.

i have much more confidence in myself; i feel freer, less afraid of making mistakes. it’s true, i’m far from my family and friends, but this also means i’m far from all those eyes under which i always try to appear perfect.

i crave to see and learn, i'm eager to discover new things, and this drives me to do things i probably wouldn’t do in my home country, to appreciate their flavor and indulge in the uncertainty of "maybe i’ll like this".

for the first time, i’m experiencing a new country without the rose-tinted filter of a short vacation. i’ve never felt as rich and full of gratitude as i do now, and i hope this is a feeling every student can experience.

so, erasmus, yes or no? absolutely yes.

But you barely had money to survive, the duke had told you how much you needed to be able to leave and the price was something that you wouldn't be able to save not matter how much you try.  So you went about your day, waiting for a stroke of luck or a Lycan that will end your life.

"Repair my fence, I don't want the animals to ruining my crops" John, an old farmer had asked you, the wood was rotten and you had to redo a large part of the fence, however you knew well that he was not going to pay you more than what he already gave you. That's why they gave you a job in the first place, they knew that no one else would agree to work so hard for so little.

When you finished, the sun had already set and the temperature had dropped considerably.  Starting your way home with your ax held tightly in your hand, although dying sounded easier you weren't ready to accept it without fighting first.

"Shit!"  The scream coming from the trees caught your attention immediately.  You debated whether to approach to help or follow the path, after all it was not your problem, the strong smell of anxiety, anger and pain reached your nose, an omega, a woman because of her screams.  Your instincts took control and when you recovered you were already in front of the woman.

"Fu-ck Co-ld" Her clothing was that of a hunter, perhaps one's daughter wanted to rebel and it ended badly.  She was hugging herself with a cloak covering her and a hood covering her face. You could notice with surprise that she was taller than you. You approached carefully, taking into account the tension in her body.

"I'm going to take you to my house, tomorrow you can go back to yours but you can't stay here if the cold doesn't kill you the Lycans will-" A roar interrupted your conversation, a varcolac emerged from the trees, almost as if your comment had summoned it, the beast was covered in wounds but still had enough strength to stand and attack.

You let the savagery inside you come out growling at the beast in front of you challenging it, when it jumped you moved out of its way and put all your strength into your arm driving your ax into its neck to such a point that you couldn't pull it out again.

You ran towards the woman and without waiting for permission you picked her up in your arms, fleeing from the beast that was writhing in pain.  You didn't stop even after leaving the forest, your mind had only one thought: return to your territory where you would be safe.  Avoiding the traps you placed around as security, you hurriedly opened the door.

Trying to control your breathing you looked at the girl who was looking at you cautiously or so you thought, the darkness did not let you see her clearly.  You gently placed it on top of what you called a bed, a small mattress that you had bought from the duke, covered with the skin of the largest bear you had managed to hunt along with the stitching of other smaller animal skins as a blanket, you took off the jacket that were wearing and gave it to her so that she could cover herself more.

"Pathetic Alpha" is how they referred to you, with good reason, your home was a cabin with only one room that served as a living room, bedroom and kitchen with a warehouse that you built for wood and food. Who would want to be your partner if this was all you could offer?

You started looking for the materials to light the fireplace, trying to ignore the shame that was growing in your chest.  With the fire lit you turned to see your guest.

"You can sleep if you want, I give you my word that nothing will happen to you" With the fire providing light you could see her better; the hair that was sticking out of her hood was a dark brown, you could only see her mouth and part of her nose, she was rolled up in her cloak with your jacket on her shoulders and the blanket on her lap;  she wasn't tense anymore but she stayed alert.

"Your word have no worth to me" her voice denoted her distrust and contempt despite having saved her.  However, you did not take it to heart after all, an omega alone with an alpha had to be careful because they were violent and did not accept no as an answer to something they wanted, her caution was understandable.

Nodding you stood up and went to where you left the knives, you took the longest one you had and returning you handed it to her, she grabbed the knife firmly and easily.

"If that makes you feel safer"

It took years for her to finally accept her dynamic, after thousands of talks with her mother, sisters, and her aunt.  So what if she didn't fit the typical image of omegas?  She was Cassandra Dimitrescu, proud daughter of Alcina Dimitrescu, of the three daughters the strongest, an excellent hunter, a fearsome warrior and a dangerous omega.

She didn't need a partner, being single was perfect for her.  And if she made sure to prolong the pain of the servants who mentioned how undesirable she was, well it was always good to inflict fear on the staff it keep them on line.

A storyboard artist for Spindle, R2, sexually harassed a minor on Twitter. The minor, now a year older but still a minor, then reached out to Viv over threads about getting an apology, and Viv victim blamed with with "I'm sorry if you were uncomfortable, but it was your fault for engaging and it was a joke so get over it" in so many words. I went and reached out to R2 about the incident, about getting an apology for the victim, because this has affected them for the last year and they're still living with the negative consequences of what R2 put them through. R2 doesn't deny the SH, claims he apologized only for "mistaking their age" before immediately deleting his account, and then followed up with a post captioned "Stay mad about it" when asked for an upfront apology. R2 never apologized for the SH, he claims to have apologized for the mistake about their age - but again, neither denies the SH nor apologizes for it, and when prompted to, posts a "Stay mad about it" post immediately. SH is wrong against anyone, especially minors but it's not limited to only being wrong when it's against them. Viv's "apology" is "Sorry you got uncomfortable BUT it's your fault and it was a joke and get over yourself", that's not an apology especially for something as serious as SH. "I don't know what else you want them to do," I just want a genuine apology, that's all the minor wants, what's so hard to wrap your minds around about a genuine apology??

I'm getting really tired of SpindleHorse employees not only avoiding culpability and common decency, but outright defending heinous things and trying to hide the evidence of it. I was specifically asked by this employee, "do you have proof of that??" and when I posted proof they panicked and tried to cover it up immediately by hiding my replies. You guys cannot claim to stand up for victims, against victimization, or even stand beside victims when you actively go out of your way to hide the evidence of the victims of your boss and peers.

Regarding the Brock thing, you can see here that Viv's stance on whether or not to bring him back depends entirely on how his response "plays out". This was after she already took his role away, so she had already decided that there was enough flak or evidence or warrant kicking him off in the first place, but she was still open to inviting him back despite what she calls "his misconduct".

I wasn't going to make a bigger post about this because I hate cluttering up my feed with it, but I'm getting really tired of these people excusing the worst sort of behaviour and having the audacity to sit on a high horse about it. All I've ever asked for his accountability, I want to see Viv apologize to her victims, but I don't know how feasible that is with the list of victims growing constantly. An apology is up to the victim themself to accept, and while I might be willing to accept one and the minor R2 victimized might be willing to accept one, I can't speak for every single person and I don't know how feasible that even is with the list constantly growing.

Buck understands Eddie’s motivation on leaving, that isn’t in question. What Buck doesn’t understand, and what is essentially the major difference between the two, is how Eddie can leave without it seeming to affect him at all on an emotional/personal level. Buck feels things and processes everything so externally, and when you live life, you tend to forget that despite humans having so much in common, we are unique. Then Buck, who’s whole being reflects how he feels, and is so used to carrying his heart on his sleeve, interacts with someone who isn’t that emotionally forthcoming he mistakes it as a lack of emotions, rather than what it is. Which is some ppl internalise and compartmentalise. (I don’t think either ends of this spectrum are inherently healthier, but i do relate more to Eddie in this regard)

And despite Eddie having ‘acknowledging’ that it’s hard for him too, Buck still feels that disconnect because Eddie doesn’t seem on edge like he does, he’s not behaving as Buck would. ‘An item truly exists only as long as it is observed’ - kinda stuff but apply it to emotions if u catch my drift.

‘It doesn’t affect anyone else [….]’

Again, Buck wouldn’t act like Eddie in this specific situation, and mixed with his abandonment issues, he perceives it as a lack of caring for other instead of a coping mechanism, which I’ll touch on.

‘It does.’

And there it is, the unspoken words, it affects me. Even in the conversation at Eddie’s (now Buck’s) place, he avoids placing any blame on Eddie because once again, Buck understands his motivation and is not angry at that. Instead, Buck highlighted his own struggle in coming to terms with the situation. When he’s expressing his frustration he’s not outright linking Eddie’s actions to his feelings. ‘I guess I’m just having more trouble dealing with the idea of you not being around then I’d like to admit’ - the accountability is placed on himself, and here he’s not out right saying he’ll be effected but it’s there hanging in the air.

‘It’s not nothing’

Eddie goes to reassure him. It’s not nothing leaving LA, leaving the 118. Just like he tried to reassure him the night before, ‘I don’t like it anymore than you do…’ but it got overshadowed by his following line about picking Chris over him.

But Eddie does want Buck to know he doesn’t take him for guaranteed. But Eddie is so used to skirting around the issue, because if you don’t acknowledge it directly it can’t hurt right? Eddie is so used to avoiding his feelings, especially if it will effect him and subsequently (read: getting back to Chris), but now somehow he also wants Buck to know how much he means to him, but to do that he has to admit it isn’t as easy of a choice as Eddie is presenting it to be. And there lies an internal conflict. And the best Eddie can summer up is a vague sentence, maintaining that emotional distance.

‘No, i know it’s not nothing. I didn’t mean that—’

And Buck miss interprets it, but why wouldn’t he, last night Eddie’s acknowledgement that it’s hard, is thrown into the conversation and is just as quickly covered up. And Buck didn’t mean to insinuate that he should be chosen over Chris. And they’ve been up all night looking for Buck’s sister. Some common questions and answers related to the blessed month Ramadhan as we are approaching this blessed month.

اللهم بلغنا رمضان

1) Can I brush my teeth while fasting?

You can but one should avoid it because there are possibilities that water or paste may enter your stomach. Recommended is using siwaak (miswak)

2) What are the things that break fast?

Eating, drinking, intentional vomitting, sexual relations, masturbation, pornography, menses.

And no saliva doesn't break you fast even if it's a saliva gathered in your mouth and you swallow it.

3) Does kissing or hugging your wife break your fast (you kissing and hugging your own wife)?

(You) Kissing or hugging your wife doesn't break your fast. There are two opinions if this (kissing, hugging your wife) causes the emission of semen then your fast is invalid and the other opinion says your fast is valid. Better is to avoid it, if you can't control yourself and it may lead you in problems with fast.

4) Do wet dreams break the fast?

No, it does not break the fast as long as it is not deliberate and one should perform the ghusl after this.

5) Does eating or drinking something, while forgetting you are fasting, breaks fast?

No, it doesn't unless it's deliberate

6) When to stop eating during suhoor?

There is a lot of time given by Allah The-Exalted to eat suhoor and one should eat it before the adhaan is given. However if your mouth is filled with food do not spit it and similarly if you are drinking, complete it as the Prophet ﷺ said " if one hears the adhaan while eating the suhoor and the vessel is in his hand let him not put the vessel down unless he fulfills his needs from it"

Note : The hadith says about the vessel being in one's hand and not on the ground, if it's on the ground then one should stop eating.

7) Ruling on intercourse with his wife while fasting?

Sexual Intercourse during the day of Ramadān is among the transgressions against the sanctity of Allâh ﷻ and it is Harām by the Qur'ān, Sunnâh and Ijmā'. And the person who had intercourse must pay a Kafārah [Expiation], which is to free a Slave, if he's not able to do so, then he must fast 2 months in a row, if he's not able to do so, then he must feed 60 poor people, and the proof for this is what Imām al-Bukhārī(1936) narrates. And this is the ruling regarding the person who knows and did so intentionally according to the correct view among the sayings of the Scholars. Because the one who is Forgetful and Ignorant of the ruling, and the coerced, do not have to make up a day nor pay the Kafārah [Expiation], since Allâh ﷻ has raised the blame off this Ummâh and has forgiven mistakes & forgetfulness, Allâh ﷻ says: {Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make mistakes} and in Sahīh Muslim(126) on the authority of 'Abdullâh ibn 'Abbās(عنهما هللا رضي) from the Prophet(وسلم عليه هللا صلى) that he said: Allâh(وتعالى سبحانه) said "I have already done so" [i.e. Forgiven the mistakes of this Ummah]

8) Who is exempted from fasting ?

The sick, the young boy or girl who haven't reached the age of puberty, the women in her menses, postpartum women,the one who has lost his sanity.

The women in her menses and postpartum must make sure to make the fast after ramadhan

9) Ruling on the traveller about fasting?

It is not permissible to break fast if the traveller doesn't leave his inhabitant place. It is permissible to break fast if the travelling distance is 80 km or more.

10) Ruling on a sick person whose illness is terminal

However, if the sick person's illness is terminal, after confirmation from trustworthy doctors, then neither fasting is obligatory for him nor is it mandatory to make it up. Instead, it is upon him to feed a poor person for every day he breaks his fast. The amount due is two combined prophetic handfuls (approximately 1.087kg). This also applies to the elderly man and woman who are unable to fast. They have to feed a poor person two prophetic handfuls of their normal food for each day they do not fast. Fasting is not upon them nor is making it up after Ramaḍān. It is also permissible for them to pay the compensation in one go, for the whole month. This can be done at the beginning, the end, or during the month. It can be given to one person (every day of the month) or more. As for the pregnant and breastfeeding woman, if they find fasting difficult, they are allowed to break their fast and make it up just like the traveler and the sick.

11) Ruling on pregnat/breastfeeding women?

Abdullāh b. ‘Abbās said: "If a pregnant woman fears for herself and a breastfeeding woman fears for her baby in (the fasting days of) Ramaḍān, they both should break their fast and feed a poor person for each day they missed". Reported in at-Ṭabarānī (2758).

12) Does using eye drops, eardrops and nasal drops while fasting breaks the fast?

Using nasal drops nullifies one's fast as nose has a passage where food or water can be transported to the stomach as the Prophet ﷺ taught us as states in Abu dawud (142) and Tirmidhi (887) "Sniff water up into your nostrils thoroughly except while fasting".

Likewise, eye drops and ear drops do not break one's fast according to the most correct of the two opinions of the scholars. If anyone notices the taste of the drops in their throat, it is safer (but not obligatory) to make up that day. This is because they are not primary avenues for eating or drinking.

Likewise, smelling various types of perfumes, colognes, or incense does not break the fast as long as it has not been deliberately inhaled deeply through the nose.

If these drops are used and do not reach the stomach through the nose or throat, it is permissible to use them during the daytime in Ramaḍān. By the will of Allāh (ﷻ), this will not affect the fast.

13) Is it obligatory to break fast with an odd number of dates?

No its neither obligation nor Sunnah to break one's fast with odd number of dates except in Eid Al Fitr as the hadith states the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to eat odd number of dates before Eid Salah

14) Does Using oral or nasal inhalers out of necessity break one's fast? (Like asthma)

Your fast is valid if you use these out of necessity. Better (if you can) delay it until evening because it's safer.

[Bleeding doesn't break fast unless it's from cupping, menses as mentioned in hadith Abu Dawud 2367]

Similarly backbiting, gossiping, lying doesn't't break fast but Allah won't accept his fast as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari (6057) and the other evil deeds reduces the rewards of fasting that is because fasting is not leaving off food, water, intercource but evil deeds and to teach a man he can abandon sin.

15) When to break fast. Is delay in breaking fast better or hastening it?

Fast should be broken when sunset is established as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari (1954). One should hasten in breaking fast given that sunset has been established as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari 1099 and the Sunnah of Ibn Masud (رضى الله عنه) and as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari (1957) "The People will not Cease to be upon Goodness as long as they hasten to break their fast " it the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Sahaba (sunset should be established is the necessary condition).

The delay in breaking fast is evil and disliked by Allah and Allah has chosen relief and ease for His servant. So do not wait and break fast after praying maghrib as some people still do this out of ignorance rather one should break fast as soon as the sunset is established.

Benefit : Reading the Qur'an is better without reading its meaning in Ramadhan as explained by the scholars and completion of the Qur'an is a blessing from the blessings of Allah.

May Allah help us and guide us to make the most of this Ramadan and may Allah accepts our dua in this blessed month of Ramadan and accept our fast and help us reach this and the next Ramadhan. What Is and Isn't a Fish: an Essay and Guide by Fishyfishyfishtimes

Hello folks! I created this post to have a kind of definitive essay/explanation of what is and isn't a "fish", starting with defining the term and going over animals that fit and don't fit the bill. As other fishblr artists, writers and educators must know too well, some people are confused about where this term begins and ends, mistaking other aquatic animals for fish. I have my fair share of arthropods and cnidarians as fish fact requests in my own askbox, heck, some years back a friend of mine asked me if clams were fish. The event that finally made me decide to write this was someone requesting that a fish-only account draw a crustacean, pondering to themselves if they count as fish.

I don't want to hold it against these people. It's impossible to know something when you've never been taught! So that's what I'm here to do, hopefully achieving a pretty correct and universal view ^^' If I make any mistakes please correct me. I'm learning all the same as everyone else is.

Definition of fish

Immediately, we run into a bit of a problem with the definition of fish. See, what the term "fish" means has fluctuated for centuries! For a long time, pretty much any animal that lived in water was a "fish" — I say "pretty much any" instead of "every" animal because for a long time sessile animals like sponges or corals were thought to be plants. This is why we have such remnants in our language like shellFISH, starFISH and jellyFISH, they lived in water so they were called such!

Occasionally these definitions would be changed for cultural convenience too. Many Christian churches take part in Lent, and in the Catholic church red and white meat is forbidden on Fridays and Ash Wednesday. In the Middle Ages, in my own country, Finland, this abstinence of red and white meat could last up to 140 days! To make fasting easier, many animals were labelled fish for convenience so they could be eaten as well. These newfound "fish" included seals, beavers and swans, pretty much just anything that was aquatic or semiaquatic in nature.

Nowadays just going off of looks or behaviour won't do, though. There has been much more of an effort to define fishes coherently based on their anatomy and phylogeny, which is great! Problem is, that's easier said than done: fishes are an extremely diverse group, and uh.. not really a single group, either. I'll show you:

As you can see from this heavily simplified phylogenic tree, fishes are not a singular group like, say, mammals are! The animals that we group under "fish" are actually a part of several distinct lineages of animals, some more closely related to us than each other. Heck, tetrapods, which include amphibians, reptiles*, and mammals, are fish themselves! Phylogenetically speaking. Our ancestors were lobe-finned fish, and, well, you never stop being the previous taxon even when you evolve into something else. If you try to exclude tetrapods, no such unified group as "fish" exists. Still, when discussing fish, we tend to want to avoid talking about every vertebrate ever and instead focus on the very specific aquatic ones we mean when we say "fish". This is why many definitions of the term "fish" still exclude tetrapods, even if we share a common fishy ancestor. "Fish" describes more of a lifeform than it does a clade, much like the term "worm"!

(*birds are reptiles! This could be a whole post in and of itself, but I'm not here to write about that. Someone else has most likely taken up the task!)

Hooray, it's definition time! As stated previously, fishes are an extremely diverse group of thousands of species, and what terms might apply to the Atlantic cod may not apply to the yellowfin tuna or giant mudskipper, let alone a Pacific lamprey! Encyclopedia.com defines a fish as "an ectothermic chordate that lives primarily in water and possesses a cranium*, gills that are useful virtually throughout life, and appendages (if present) in the form of fins". Encyclopedia Britannica notes that "the term fish is applied to a variety of vertebrates of several evolutionary lines", instead highlighting five classes. These five classes are left partly unspecified, but ones that are mentioned are jawless fish, cartilaginous fish and bony fish (which still includes tetrapods, however), and the two classes left can be assumed to be two classes of extinct fish. Wikipedia defines a fish as "an aquatic, craniate**, gill-bearing animal that lacks limbs with digits". Tim M. Berra, an academy professor and ichtyologist, defines fish as "poikilothermic***, aquatic chordate with appendages (when present) developed as fins, whose chief respiratory organs are gills and whose body is usually covered with scales".

From these more or less detailed definitions we can gather many defining features for fish: a cranium-having chordate, primarily aquatic, gill-bearing and uses gills as their main respiratory organ, lacking any limbs with digits, instead having their limbs be in paired and unpaired fins when present. Most fish are also ectothermic, meaning their body temperature is determined by their environment, but some can heat up parts of their body or their entire body in the case of the opah. Most fish also have scales, but not all, just like how most fish are fully aquatic, but some like lungfish or mudskippers can spend considerable time out of the water. Such is the way of these magnificent and diverse animals!

Finally, with all this out of the way, we can get into...

What is a fish!

Here, I will be detailing animals that are fish! Well, at least the broadest strokes; there are more than 30 000 fish species and if I listed them all we'd be here all life. I shall instead go over the major classes and list, in short, some groups that belong in them.

Jawless fish (Superclass Cyclostomi)

Jawless fish are often a topic of debate, especially in matters of their relation to each other and to jawed vertebrates. Evidence seems to point to hagfish and lampreys being closest related to one another and to lampreys being more closely related to jawed vertebrates than to hagfish (which would make hagfish craniates but not vertebrates). In the phylogeny tree above I decided to portray hagfish and lampreys as a monophyletic group, as molecular studies and microRNA analysis seems to point to a monophylegic superclass. Please note that this could go either way, though.

Jawless fish is a group containing two extant fishes, hagfish (class Myxini) and lampreys (order Petromyzontiformes)! Jawless fish are more "primitive" than other groups, for example both lack true vertebrae and scales. Still, they both have craniums and gills and they are aquatic, and so they have earned their place among fish!

Cartilaginous fish (class Chondrichthyes)

Surprisingly, I've found that this group has a lot of confusion surrounding it. I have received many a request confirming if sharks are fish, or asking if I'd cover a shark "even if it's not a fish". So I'll say it now: good news, sharks are indeed fish! So are their cousins, rays, skates and chimaeras, also known as ghost sharks! All of these fish have a primarily cartilaginous skeleton, tooth-like dermal denticles and lack gill covers and a swim bladder. Out of all the sharks, I also want to highlight that the whale shark, despite its confusing name, is a shark and not a whale. So, it is a fish!

Ray-finned fish (class Actinopterygii)

Name any fish, and there's a 96% chance the species name you said belongs to a ray-finned fish. Unless, like, you really like sharks. But this isn't about them.

Ray-finned fish are the biggest group of fish and incredibly diverse! It has your seahorse, your pufferfish, your bass, your tuna, your anglerfish, your clownfish, your salmon, your sturgeon, your lanternfish, your perch, your oarfish, your gar, your sardine, your moray eel... and this is only a tiny, tiny fraction of the groups that belong to this class! Defining features of ray-finned fish are that they tend to have a swim bladder and a bony skeleton (some exceptions though. Sturgeons, for one, have evolved a cartilaginous skeleton but they're still ray-finned fish). The largest group of ray-fins, the teleosts, also have leptoid scales, which are thinner and more flexible and grow with growth rings.

I want to bring special attention to some members of the ray-finned fish which tend to have a lot of confusion surrounding them and their heritage: eels and seahorses. Many people think these two are not fish due to their strange anatomy, like lack of scales or (many) fins and their elongated bodies, and I wouldn't blame them! Seahorses belong to family Syngnathidae, which also includes seadragons and pipefish. Eels, meanwhile, make up the order Anguilliformes. All of these long friends of ours are fish!

Lobe-finned fish (clade Sarcopterygii)

I shall merely focus on the fishy fishy fish individuals of this class, which excludes tetrapods. Lobe-finned fish house the two extant species of coelacanths, and six extant species of lungfish! These fish are bony and their fins are placed at the tips of fleshy, lobelike stalks, resembling the limbs of tetrapods. It is thought that the common ancestor of coelacanths and lungfish and tetrapods had similar structures that then became the four limbs the members of our clade typically have. Coelacanths and lungfish are wonderful fishes and deserve a lot of love and respect, not only because they're our closest cousins but because they're unique and we have so much to learn about them!

So, these are the fishes! There are also extinct groups of fish, namely class Placodermi (armoured fish) and class Acanthodii (spiny "sharks"). I'm moreso an extant fish account however, and so I shall move onto...

What isn't a fish?

Now we get into the real meat of this post. Without further ado, here are some aquatic friends of ours that can be mixed up with fish very often!

Crustaceans (subphylum Crustacea)

Many of our hard-shelled many-legged friends belong here! Crabs, lobsters, crayfish, shrimp, krill, isopods, triops, barnacles, copepods, you name it! Even though many crustaceans are aquatic or semiaquatic and have gills, you'll find that they're invertebrates that lack an internal skeleton (so no cranium, not even vertebrae)! We still love them though!

Mollusks (phylum Mollusca)

Creatures both soft and hard-shelled! Cephalopods like octopuses, squid, nautilus and cuttlefish, bivalves like clams, mussels, oysters or scallops, gastropods like sea slugs and snails and chitons go here! These friends of ours are also aquatic and have gills, some even have the suffix -fish (cephalopods used to be called inkfish, even!), but their lack of an endoskeleton is even more obvious than the crustaceans'. They're invertebrates, and therefore not fish!

Chelicerates (subphylum Chelicerata)

This group has many animals that are very hard to mistake for fish, namely spiders and scorpions, but horseshoe crabs and sea spiders are two groups of extant marine chelicerates! Both groups are aquatic, and horseshoe crabs have gills. However, they're both invertebrates, lacking a cranium or vertebrae. Other aquatic chelicerates exist, but they're usually very small, like water mites.

Cnidarians (phylum Cnidaria)

This phylum has the sessile corals and sea anemones and the usually more mobile jellyfish and siphonophores (includes the infamous Portugese man o' war!). I imagine corals and sea anemones are mistaken for fish less due to their sessile nature, but they're good to bring up nevertheless. None of these animals have a backbone, or, any bones really. They lack gills, they lack fins, they even lack the bilateral shape of fish. Jellyfish, despite the name, are indeed not fish! Some people suggest the name sea jellies be used for them instead, and I think it's much cuter.

Echinoderms (phylum Echinodermata)

Animals like starfish, sea urchins, brittle stars, sand dollars, sea cucumbers and feather stars go here. It seems that this pesky "-fish" -suffix is hard to shake off, as now we have the starfish. Once again, all of these slow-moving bottom-dwelling friends of ours are invertebrates, as they lack vertebrae or a cranium. Interestingly though, they are among our closest invertebrate relatives! So we ought to give them some props for that. I also want to mention that starfish can also be called sea stars, which ought to lessen confusion about their being too.

Comb jellies (phylum Ctenophora)

Comb jellies look a lot like jellyfish, but they belong in their own unique phylum! They have the same deal going on; they are invertebrates, they lack gills, they lack a cranium, they are simply aquatic.

Lancelets (subphylum Cephalocordata) and tunicates (subphylum Tunicata)

A double feature, because I wanted to save space didn't want these guys to be all alone! Lancelets and Tunicates, like sea squirts and salps, are chordates, which you can find in the phylogenic tree I drew all the way in the definitions section. They share many a feature with vertebrates, like a bilateral bodyplan, a notochord at some stage of life and a post-anal tail, but I'm afraid they're still not fish. They lack a cranium and their notochord does not develop into a vertebral column! Sorry friends, you tried. We can still hang out at the chordate convention.

Annelids (phylum Annelida)

The infamous bobbit worm, bone-eating worms, sea mice, giant tube worms, feather duster worms, spoon worms, bristleworms in general, leeches... many, many worms go here! Pretty self-explanatory: they are invertebrates, even when they live in water. They're extremely cool invertebrates too! I suggest taking a look at some of them, there's many interesting species.

Flatworms (phylum Platyhelminthes)

Flatworms are another very diverse group of worms, having many species both terrestrial and aquatic, however mostly I want to put attention into the free-swimming marine flatworms. They may swim beautifully (and fence with grace), but they are nevertheless invertebrates! Flatworms can live a variety of different lifestyles, from predators to parasites.

Amphibians (class Amphibia)

We've made it into vertebrates now! Amphibians include frogs, salamanders, and caecilians. While they have limbs with digits in their adulthood*, they can be easily confused for fish in their larval stages! This is no surprise, as they use gills to breathe underwater and tadpoles lack any limbs at all for a while. Many amphibians later transition into a terrestrial or semiaquatic way of life and lose their gills, not to mention gain their digit-having limbs.

...Well, many amphibians do this, but not all. It's important to mention there are also species of aquatic salamanders which can bear great resemblance to fish with their elongated bodies! Amphiumas, which are sometimes mistakenly called "conger eels" (which is an actual species of fish), are aquatic salamanders with small residual limbs and both working gills and lungs. Giant salamanders and mudpuppies/waterdogs have lungs and gills as well, and lead an aquatic lifestyle — olms are close relatives of mudpuppies. Sirens, meanwhile, lack hind limbs and only have small front limbs, along with retaining their gills in adulthood. Among aquatic salamanders I also want to bring up one most often talked about species: the axolotl! They remain in their larval form, have external gills and lead an aquatic lifestyle. It can be hard to tell with aquatic salamanders sometimes, but these friends of ours are amphibians and not fish, even if they've rejected the land life.

Caecilians are a bit less known overall, but they can also cause a lot of confusion due to their long, limbless body. While most caecilians live underground, some are aquatic in nature, and can therefore be mistaken for fish! However, caecilians breathe via the use of their lungs and through the skin and don't have any gills at all.

Reptiles (class Reptilia)

Most commonly mistaken for fish in this group are sea snakes, sea kraits and water snakes, sea turtles, turtles, penguins, and other (semi)aquatic birds. Sea snakes and water snakes bear a very strong resemblance to eels, but they are indeed just snakes adapted to an aquatic or a semiaquatic lifestyle! The same goes for sea turtles, turtles overall, and penguins. They all need to breathe air and they lack fins, even if their flippers, webbed feet and built-in paddles may look like fins! They also have wholly different types of scales (or feathers!!) than what fish have, even if they share the feature. I assume that other aquatic reptiles, like the marine iguana and crocodilians are better read as reptiles thanks to their limbs with digits, but I want to give them a reptile shoutout anyway. They’re aquatic or semiaquatic, but they are air-breathers and fin-lackers all the same!

I also want to mention one specific extinct group of reptiles, ichtyosaurs! These marine reptiles were rather shark- or dolphin-like in appearance, which is actually a really good example of convergent evolution! Like all other reptiles, they also needed to breathe air and they had... erm... well, I'm not sure if I can call the bones in their flippers digits, but, that's what they used to be, so...? They were cool reptiles and among my favourites! There were many other aquatic reptiles too, but I will only mention just the ones now. A paleontology account would be better-suited to list you allll the marine reptiles.

Mammals (class Mammalia)

Our home class! Some of the aquatic friends we have in this class include whales like baleen and beaked whales, dolphins (orcas go here), porpoises, belugas, narwhals and sperm whales, pinnipeds like seals, sea lions, walruses, and sirenians like manatees, (occasionally known as sea cows) and dugongs! We also have some semiaquatic buddies like hippopotamids, otters, beavers and platypuses! Whales and pinnipeds especially often cause a lot of confusion due to their very streamlined, fishy appearance. They are, however, air breathers that feed their young with milk (some dolphin calves are even born with some hair), and their ancestors were land mammals! The same goes for pinnipeds and sirenians too. True seals, fur seals and sea lions still have fur even! Hippos, otters, beavers and platypuses are a bit more obvious as mammals with their fur and.. distinct air-breathing.. but I wanted to mention them anyway. Their adaptations to aquatic life are just one example of how fascinating evolution can be!

A hopefully comprehensive list of fishes and non-fishes, beginning with the ever-shifting story of the term "fish", phylogeny, and why some animals are called fish when they really aren't. I feel like this is the right place to say that I don't find his "ditzy slut" moments funny in isolation,without taking his cunning,calculating traits into account. If Chase is just a "himbo",it takes away the shock value(not to mention I've seen way funnier "simple dumbasses" than "isolated Chase moments"). On the other hand,a guy who can clearly think on his feet making terrible mistakes that could be avoided by a bit of common sense is a recipe for hilarious "wtf?" moments. Like,I've seen you deduce stuff with striking accuracy with minimal information,how did you come with such an inane conclusion? It's what they call "high intelligence,low wisdom".

Also,I saw a post of you saying Foreman is "book-smarter" than Chase,while the latter is more observant and a "people-person",besides having more "improvising" skills. This is certainly interesting,considering their backgrounds(Foreman was raised in the hood,had some involvement with gangs;whereas Chase was a rich brat with many opportunities. One would think their skillsets would be inverted,lol)

Even before I finished reading this comment, I was planning on making a "he's a high in/low wisdom," so thanks for making that joke for me, lol.

The thing is, Chase is legitimately very lazy. Or like. He works hard and he's very good at his job, but I think it's interesting that both his specialties are… obviously to be a doctor you have to be smart, but he has very hands on specialties. His job isn't to memorize and know everything about auto-immune diseases, his job is to be great at cutting people open and fixing them. Again, I am well aware surgeons and intensive care takes a lot of knowledge! But it's interesting to me, you know? He definitely comes off as less cerebral.

And he's deeply unambitious. He spends half the show in a fellowship, a training program, because he's more comfortable there. Cameron and Foreman have a subplot about writing articles; we never hear anything about Chase doing the same. House literally has to fire Chase to get him off the team. Where Foreman is always desperately trying to prove himself and be the best doctor in the room, and where Cameron is honestly also deeply competitive and demands respect, Chase… we joke about him being spineless, he is spineless, but also he never really seems to mind it. He doesn't care. He does not seem offended Foreman keeps getting put in charge, nor does he really want it for himself. He has the most seniority of the fellows, but never plays it up; he's fine where he is. And I think that's where his 'laziness' comes in. He just… doesn't try very hard. Very rich kid of him, tbh. He coasts whenever possible.

Meanwhile Foreman is a huge perfectionist, and has a huge inferiority complex. He is the first to tell everyone he had perfect grades (he tells Chase a time or two), went to top schools, has a perfect resume, because Foreman derives a lot of his self worth from being able to say that: if he's the best, no one can say he doesn't belong. I think it's because of his background that he's like this: he's a Black man from a Bad Neighborhood and has a Record and he's absolutely aware what that makes him in the eyes of others. He can't afford to be like Chase — Chase can get away with being lazy and unambitious because he's a rich, good looking, white guy (and foreign, at that — but the good kind of foreign, who speaks English as a first language and comes from a rich and successful family). If Foreman acted like Chase — like he didn't give a shit about his career, like he was just working for House for the hell of it — it would look different. It would feel different. Foreman is a perfectionist and has an inferiority complex because his whole life the world has told him he's not as good, he's doomed to "turn out" bad, he won't and can't amount to anything because of who he is. Cameron is assertive and ambitious and gets really touchy when people underestimate or overlook her, because she's sensitive and kind and weak (Foreman himself tells Cameron he thinks she needs to "toughen up"), and so she also constantly has to prove herself, and that she can be a Good Doctor And Leader while still being compassionate and soft. Again, Chase doesn't have to worry about any of this. He can be unambitious and easy-going about his career, because it doesn't really matter to him in the same way. He doesn't have to be the best student or get the best marks and have the best record. He has very little to prove.

And in a way, Chase is in the same kind of perception trap as the others. Not to suggest he has it soooo much worse than Foreman, but because he's a Rich Good Looking Dude, you kind of expect him to be a nepobaby. You kind of expect him to be useless and underqualified and shallow. To coast on his looks and to not have brains and have no idea how to manage in the Real World. It's definitely how Foreman sees Chase — he says as much, and lowkey hates him for it, and fair enough — but again what's interesting to me is where it isn't quite true. Chase is brilliant, when he cares enough to try. His apathy is learned, not born from an easy life; he comes off as cool and easy-going but holds grudges and resentments and trauma about two inches down. He's afraid of rejection and trying and failing, and so stays in his comfort zones. But where Foreman spends all his time and energy trying to prove the entire world wrong, to fight every automatic perception of who he is as a person, Chase leans in to his own facade. I actually think that S8 Foreman is a pretty happy person. I think S8 Chase, Chase MD in House's office, is at least 70% miserable.

Yandere Alicent With A Shy S/o

As a Yandere, Alicent is obsessive and possessive of you. She seeks to isolate you from any other people and control every aspect of your life. If you were to show interest in other people or behave in a way that Alicent deems inappropriate, it would lead to intense jealousy and rage. Alicent would use tactics like blackmail or threats to ensure your submission. She would also express her love for you through acts of servitude or other romantic gestures. However, your happiness would always be secondary to Alicent's own desires.

As a yandere with a shy s/o, she is possessive, obsessive, and jealous. She would do anything to protect you, even if it means harming others or herself. She would be constantly tracking your whereabouts and trying to gain your affection by any means necessary. She would also be unwilling to let anyone else get close to you and would likely resort to violence or other drastic measures to ensure that she remains the only one in your life. She would be deeply attached to you, and your rejection would be the worst thing in the world for her.

If Alicent were to have a shy s/o, she would be drawn to your innocent and humble nature. However, she would quickly become frustrated with your lack of assertiveness and desire to avoid conflict. She would want to bring out your confidence, but in doing so, she would likely become too controlling and push you away. The more she tries to push you, the more you would retreat, creating a vicious cycle. Unless Alicent is able to learn to respect your boundaries and autonomy, the relationship is likely doomed.

Despite your shyness, Alicent's s/o would have to make certain compromises to keep her happy. Alicent would want to spend as much time with you as possible and would want to know every aspect of your life. Alicent would be constantly seeking validation from you and would be wary of any signs of secrecy or distance. If you were to try to assert your independence or put other people first, she would feel threatened and it would likely lead to conflict. However, Alicent would also dote on her s/o and shower you with gifts and compliments.

If Alicent were to have a shy s/o, her behavior towards you would be very different. She would be more patient and understanding of your need for privacy and independence. Alicent would work to build trust and allow you to open up at your own pace. She would be supportive and encouraging, but still make sure to establish clear boundaries in the relationship. Alicent would still be possessive and protective, but not to the same extreme as with an obsessive s/o.

Alicent would be careful not to overwhelm you with excessive affection or romantic gestures. She would be mindful of your need for alone time and would try to create opportunities for you to express yourself without the pressure of her constant attention. Alicent would value communication above all else and would be open to hearing your feelings and concerns. If her s/o were to show signs of doubt, insecurity, or fear, Alicent would do everything in her power to reassure you and make you feel safe and loved in the relationship.

If Alicent had a shy s/o, she would also be more forgiving of any perceived slights or mistakes. She would be more willing to listen to your feelings and take them into account when making decisions. She would also be more likely to compromise in order to achieve common goals. Alicent's main priority would be to foster a strong, trusting relationship with her s/o rather than control every aspect of their life at least at first. Despite her tendency towards possessiveness, Alicent's behavior would be more subtle and gentle with a shy s/o.

Alicent's behavior towards a shy s/o would also be more affectionate and romantic. She would be more likely to express her feelings through physical touch, gifts, or words of affirmation. Alicent would find ways to show you how much you mean to her and make you feel appreciated and loved. She would be more attentive to your needs and feelings and do what she can to make you happy. Alicent would want to create a strong, supportive connection with you and allow you to feel comfortable and safe in the relationship.

In addition, Alicent's actions towards her shy s/o would also be guided by her intuition and understanding of your needs. She would be more perceptive of your feelings and able to anticipate your responses to certain situations. This would allow Alicent to manage her own emotions better and communicate more effectively with you. She would also be more comfortable expressing herself and asking for reassurance in return. Overall, Alicent's relationship with a shy s/o would be founded on mutual respect and understanding, creating a deeper and more satisfying connection.

If Alicent had a shy s/o, she would be more mindful of your sensitivity and social anxiety. She would make an effort to create an emotionally safe and comfortable environment for you. Alicent would be understanding if you struggled to express yourself or show affection openly. She would also try to provide opportunities for you to build your confidence and social skills even if she's breathing down your neck. Alicent would also be mindful of any triggers or traumas that you might have and work to help you overcome them. Overall, Alicent would be more attentive to the needs and feelings of her shy s/o.

At first, he was caught by surprise. He would never expect fans to realize what he had staged in front of cameras for all those years nor that the PR chosen was a trap that would cause so much trouble, demanding him to coach her. Then, came the shame followed by the humiliation.

But, the narcissistic team didn't let him grieve, making him feed his stubbornness, while cleaning the woman's profile and putting him in a position of antagonizing his fandom by minimizing their power and strength. Starting with the FO post.

The damage control attempt had the goal to make fun of fans' reaction by pretending the woman's rep wasn't a problem and that he wasn't fooled by who chose her to go on a PR with him. So, they used this circus to disguise the situation to avoid having him sign the receipt of the dude.

The goal was to pretend they were always in control, that her rep wasn't a problem and that he was giving a f**k to fans' opinions by antagonizing them. They had realized the flaw in the plot a little too late and the FO post was a huge mistake.

For fans, her rep discredited his image making him look like a hypocrite and the damage control was obviously another huge mistake that would jeopardize the image he took years to build. So, the solution was to try and change this image.

That's why the change of looks and outfits and the pathetic things he was obligated to do. To cope with that, his God complex- common among many actors - and pride didn't allow him to accept criticism nor be humbled to see the huge mistake that antagonizing his fans in that situation would cause him.

Damage control was sloppy, unprofessional, immoral and abusive to fans and to him, who thought he had to sacrifice the bond with fans and his image for her. Natalie's rep wasn't the cause of his misery nor the reaction of his fandom. What gave him the worst headache of his life were the immoral strategies used and lack of respect he and his team had for his fandom.

There were always options, but he chose the worst. That's what this shenanigan is all about:

a) Deciding to antagonize his fandom for vanity and pride,

b) Choosing to minimize the effect Natalie's rep could have on his image with a circus,

c) Making fun of that to disguise their own perplexity, pretending to ignore the obstacles,

d) Staging a FO attitude he never had before, only to avoid exposing the truth,

e) Showing an arrogant and narcissistic attitude of who can't stand criticism nor be contradicted.

But, this was never about Natalie Viscuso. This was about his ego. He never cared about the next PR rep. All he cared for was to have a female company to escort. Women are accessories used to boost his fake image. He, actually, doesn't care for them. As long as they are useful. Even if he has to throw them under the bus and expose them to public execration. There's no consideration for women on his attitudes.

The staged belly, the fake paternity plots are responses to fans' reaction, the same way all the other staged appearances and scripted speeches in interviews during this shenanigan. For damage control, they decided to stage the circus created with their mistake, while ignoring the problem, to avoid recognizing accountability and to protect him.

Some are asking if they are still going to continue with this shenanigan by showing a baby. With the latest scandals in Hollywood leading to celebs' boycott and the P. Diddy's case involving names like J-Z and Beyoncé - the celeb couple present at the dinner night Henry had with his Godsent at a club in London -, I suppose he will prefer to be low profile, avoiding the attention.

But, considering his latest decisions and what he has been capable of doing for fame and spotlight to avoid shame and accountability, destroying the bond with his fandom and exposing a woman to public execration, it's difficult to predict what will happen. Maybe, they are still trying to decide based on fans' reaction. If fans ask for a baby, they will show one.

What they are saying is that you are the writer of this story and you decide if there's a baby or not. But, having them going that far by staging the belly and the paternity, after being present at a dinner night with J-Z and Beyoncé, both accused of having their hands dirty with P. Diddy, we can expect anything.

If he chooses to continue that baby plot, promoting this shenanigan by exposing a child, he will only prove he's a stubborn dude bothered with his lack of credibility, who desperately needs to try to prove a farce to avoid shame, using fans' theories and gossips to create the plots of their circus.

A Line About A Building (Festival of Shadows)

The church itself was an impressive structure with a high gabled roof of the main chapel with frosted windows high up on each side. It allowed natural light to flood the room, bathing the handcrafted pews and deep red carpets that ran throughout it in a warm glow. She heard that the building’s face was positioned to catch the light of the halo moon at the its apex with that white ring encircling the pulpit before widening out to the whole room. Midnight services for their acolytes were a common practice during the Festival for this reason.

A Line About the Weather (Festival of Shadows)

She avoided looking up. Even with her back turned, she could still sense its soft light baring down on her. The halo moon was more unnerving than she anticipated. The lights were bright on the ground but the darkness of the night was absolute. No stars. No satellites. Just the halo moon. It was the full moon, but something blasted a perfect hole in its center. The darkness within was absolute and the thin rim that was left was the most brilliant of whites. It was always dead center in the sky, no matter where she was looking.

And how would September even know any of that? But it did make an odd sort of sense. This department’s only goal was to keep them there. Emery didn’t budge. “Then it would make sense to hide then. Not pen ourselves in with no where else to go.” September set his jaw. He was done arguing.

It was an accident. She laughed at the lie. What happened to Dale was as much of an accident as his fling with Sue, Kitty, Christine, and every other woman that caught him unawares with his pants down. By his accounting, it was all a mistake. A stumble in the dark. A slip into disrepute.
