my parents are on holiday in their mobile home

they're expected back this upcoming weekend

I just spent ten days in my childhood home to keep an eye on things

I have hidden 100 small yellow ducks all over the house

I am very excited for my parents to be back

"Hey mister, are you dead?" was the first thing Danny heard as he found his way back to consciousness. His body vehemently protested the move by alighting every single one of his nerve ending on fire and Danny groaned.

"Mister?"

Danny's ribs were killing him, or at least they felt like they were, and he would know. He cracked his eyes open to find a small boy crouching over him with his hands on his knees and his blue eyes wide in curiosity.

"Who-" Danny croaked.

"My name's Johnatan like grandpa, but everyone calls me Jon," the kid started babbling. "I live in Metropolis, do you know Metropolis? It's the biggest city in the world. My parents work there, they're reporters but now it's summer break so I'm with Grandma and Grandpa. You fell through the old barn from the sky. Are you an alien, like Superman?"

"Ugh," Danny said as he closed his eyes again.

"Mr. Alien, are you dead again now?"

"Yes," Danny said as he put his arm over his face, wishing he could just Not Exist.

"You're lying," the kid stated confidently. "Dead people don't talk."

"They do too," Danny mumbled as he raised his head off the floor to look at the kid properly.

"Do not!"

"Do too."

"I'm telling Grandma you're a liar," the kid sing-longed before bolting out of Danny's field of vision.

With a thud, Danny let his head fall back down. Welp, it wasn't like he was going anywhere, why not invite more people over to witness this absolute embarrassment.

Reading 'Making Money' at the moment and I love how in this one Adora Belle is so CLEARLY the A-plot character. She's off commanding armies of golems and uncovering secrets from lost civilizations and marches back to town like "Hey Moist, come help me find a wizard to translate this ancient scroll" and he's just standing there giving Spencer from iCarly like "Ummmmm. Does it have to be like, right now...? Only, you see, my dog's just been made chairman of the bank—"

Alright to expand on my little Jason todd and crime alley kids au

Anytime one of the bat kids mentions Jason's kids Jason just kinda goes guys they're not my kids they're just under my protection and I make sure they're clothes and dry and not sick

And I just imagine dick go and what do we call that when someone houses a child feeds them and clothes them

And Jason just goes still not my kids he then before he can even finish speaking one of the crime alley kids goes running up to red all smiles going dad dad look look it worked I got an A on my spelling test because you helped aren't you proud

And dick with a smug look on his face goes and you were saying and Jason just tells him to fuck off and that he and the batfam are banned from crime alley indefinitely

Dick is just cackling while Jason ruffles the young kids hair and kinda goes hey let's go get ya some ice cream go round up some of the other kids
