Herczeg Ferenc, Nagy Lajos és Robert Capa könyvei a Magyar Elektronikus Könyvtárban

2025. január 1-jétől ingyenesen, szabadon hozzáférhető és letölthető 250 közkinccsé váló mű a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum Közgyűjteményi Központ Országos Széchényi Könyvtár (MNMKK OSZK) Magyar Elektronikus Könyvtárában (MEK).

A 2025. január 1-jétől hozzáférhető gyűjteményrész a kultúra és a tudomány terén tevékenykedett, 1954-ben elhunyt szerzők életművéből merít. Herczeg Ferenc (1863–1954) a két világháború közötti időszak egyik legnépszerűbb magyar írója, akinek Az élet kapuja című regényét háromszor is jelölték irodalmi Nobel-díjra. Drámái és regényei a magyar és nemzetközi színpadokon is maradandók. Nagy Lajos (1883–1954) a szatirikus próza mestere, a Nyugat főmunkatársa és többszörös Baumgarten-díjas író, aki novelláival vált igazán ismertté. Robert Capa (1913–1954), a világhírű magyar–amerikai fotográfus és haditudósító, a 20. század egyik legjelentősebb dokumentaristája. F��nyképei máig a háborús fotográfia ikonikus alkotásai. Gerevich Tibor (1882–1954) a művészettörténet és kultúrpolitika kiemelkedő alakja, akadémikus, akinek munkássága a magyar és nemzetközi műemlékvédelem területén is meghatározó. Huszti József (1887–1954) a klasszika-filológia és a magyar humanizmus jeles kutatója, aki többek között Janus Pannonius munkásságának tanulmányozásával ért el kiemelkedő eredményeket. Papp Viktor (1881–1954) zenekritikus, zenetörténész és irodalmár aktívan részt vett a zenei kultúra népszerűsítésében. Rapaics Raymund (1885–1954) a magyar növényföldrajz és történeti botanika úttörője, akadémikus, akinek művei a magyar Alföld ősi növényvilágát mutatják be részletesen.

A szerzői jogi védelem Magyarországon a szerző halálát követő hetven évig érvényes. Ezen időszak lejártát követően a művek közkinccsé válnak, azaz szabadon másolhatók, terjeszthetők és feldolgozhatók.
