nobody asked but since 26 is harley’s canon age at origin in some universes (like the dceu), i've come up with a timeline that works to get her her necessary degrees by 26

•basically i say she's really bright but has behavioral issues when bored so she skips a grade in elementary school

•then she does one of those programs where high school students can take (usually community) college classes for both hs + college credit, allowing her to get an associates degree by like 17 (plus offering a more flexible schedule for her gymnastics stuff)

•she spends another 2 years getting a bachelors degree and doing collegiate gymnastics (graduating college at 19)

•then, finishes her phd program in 3 years (22 at this point) be she wasn't doing gymnastics anymore and needed to fill the hole in her life

•finally she spends 4 years at med school getting her md which allows her to be a 26 year-old medical intern working the joker's case bc arkham was desperately understaffed and she showed promise

but that is like literally the quickest way to those degrees. absolute bare minimum time spent. even then, she doesn't run away with him immediately and doesn't break free immediately either. it's basically impossible to get a current stage harley thats younger than like 29, so it throws me when people treat her like she’s 23. she’s an adult. i promise. treat her as such.

This always cracks me up a bit and I smile but Harley should have an M.D not a PhD or have both, but a lot of media have her character say she has a PhD. Her origin story says she is a psychiatrist which means she must be a DO/MD.

Since they keep screwing this up, just change it to her being a psychologist already

You guys don't understand how pumped I am to see the joker 2 musical with Lady Gaga. I will be seated on the cinema. I will be watching. I can't wait to know what their dark twisted society take on harley quinn as a kinda grown up woman that's actually lady gaga is. I can't wait.

I should probably mention this but Artemis Butcher has a bunch of eyes and tiny mouths on their back, that sort of spread down to her arms (they’re cut off above her elbows). I’d say there would be about a total of eight or so eyes, maybe four smaller mouths with sharp teeth on her body all together. Also said eyes can be plucked out (gross I know) and they can be planted in an organic surface (like dirt/soil etc) and it essentially becomes a secret surveillance system of sorts. Creepy and gross I know, but hey you need to get your reconnaissance done somehow!

Also speaking of sharp teeth Artemis has like. Sharp teeth. Like enough that she can pierce flesh and has the jaw muscle power of a crocodile and rip peoples limbs off with just her teeth. I know that’s Very violent but that’s the point of the boys. because of this violence Artemis is capable of, Frenchie made a joke (back when Mallory was leading the Boys) that Artemis is a cannibal due to her feral nature.

The joke is funny at first but it backfires when Artemis starts to slowly play into the joke, and makes very disturbing remarks like “how nice it would be to make Homelander her chew toy like a dog with his bone,” which is immediately a partykiller, but Billy does get a genuine kick out this joke (for obvious reasons). Mother’s Milk is more so just done with everyone’s shit, and while he is also somewhat scared of Artemis, his ‘I’m not taking Billy Butcher’s bullshit anymore’ outweighs his fear of her. (It should be noted that later on in season one they do start to get along with each other a lot more especially with the saving ‘Kimiko’ thing but that’s a whole other story. That said if you had to make him choose which Butcher Sibling to hang out with, he’d choose Artemis over Billy).

So when the show starts and Billy, Frenchie, Hughie and Artemis have Translucent held hostage, Artemis makes a joke of ‘how interesting carbon would taste like’ and Hughie is so fucking terrified because it implies that she eats people and he’s even more terrified that Billy plays it off as a joke - and so he asks Frenchie if Artemis being a cannibal is true and Frenchie’s like:

“It started as a joke but now I don’t even know anymore man.”

Which in Hughie’s mind - implies that Artemis could be a cannibal and so he's trying his best to NOT PANIC in a situation where already they are walking on eggshells since locking up Transparent. Hughie REALLY DOESN'T want to be a supes meal so he does everything he can to make himself not seem like a good meal. but all of this panic and anxiety turns out to be a load of nothing and Kameron tells Hughie to his face that "No I'm not a cannibal, I just like messing with people" and then proceeds to give Hughie an elbow nudge - and Hughie?

Hughie is nervously laughing, still unsure whether Artemis is playing a whole fucked up prank on him as part of him still believes that fae COULD be a cannibal. But also he thinks to himself 'oh god there's something VERY WRONG with Billy Butcher's sister and I terrified of what it could be and I don't want to fuck around and find out'.
