Three days into using the new diabetes treatment system. Blood sugars still running high for the vast majority of the time.
So I was interested to see what would happen on one of our forest trail hours without any adjustments allowing for activity.
It lowered a little bit, but not by much at all.
And now back at home, it's on it's way all the way back up.
Have to try not get too frustrated (way too late for that, but I'll keep trying) and just grizz through it.
And hold on to what the diabetic nurse told me - Be brave! See it through.
Trying. Reaaaally trying.
It's actually even higher now. 11.1. Only took that pic ten minutes ago!
Quite a gentle day, but still a healthy one, including a 17.5htlr fast time.
Giving myself that "free" day, but keeping things ticking along, which I feel is necessary. Two walks and a yoga routine. I haven't allowed for ANY of that activity on the settings. That's honestly pretty crazy.
But anyway, onwards......

This book right here is not only life changing for the better… it is life extending and even life saving in some cases. I’m so grateful my integrative MD recommended it to me. (I’m more than half way through in 3 days.) She runs a cancer center in a major hospital in the Bay Area helping people address the causes of their diseases with science-based natural medicine.
I consider this book a preventative for most people, but for some it may lead to that “miracle” they’ve been praying for. It not only helps understand the causes of many “incurable” diseases and chronic undesirable conditions increasing in recent years, but also how to eliminate them in as little as 2 weeks. The full protocol spelled out in the book is 9 weeks. If you don’t care for all the science you can skip those parts and simply implement what is suggested. It’s especially helpful for overcoming diabetes, obesity, asthma, allergies, and autoimmunity.
This book has helped me understand why eating healthy and exercising may not be enough for at least 50% of the population. It’s got me considering getting a Master of Science in Integrative Nutrition. This information has been a missing link in my understanding of creating and maintaining health, especially when concerning organic causes. I hope that one day soon the AMA will be more supportive of the findings presented in this book.

Insulin Resistance: What it is and How to Reverse it
Insulin is a hormone produced by your pancreas that plays a crucial role in regulating your blood sugar levels. When you eat carbohydrates, your body breaks them down into glucose, which is then absorbed into your bloodstream. Insulin helps your cells take up glucose and use it for energy. However, if you eat too many carbohydrates or have a diet high in processed foods and sugars, your body may…

Understanding the Link Between Diabetes and Heart Failure: Your Link to Life
In recent years, we’ve learned more about the link between diabetes and heart failure. The American Diabetes Association highlighted this issue in June 2022. They called heart failure an “underappreciated complication of diabetes.” People with diabetes are at a higher risk of getting heart failure. Studies show that up to 22% of those with diabetes might face this condition. With 37 million…

Oh, the ongoing saga of my bad tempered blood sugars, lol.
So the last few days, they've been inexplicably high almost all the time.
Then last night....bang. Low all night. What the actual?? Anyway, mostly because of that, I've had a very bad night. Awake multiple times after taking much longer than usual to get to sleep. Then fully awake at 3.30am. Yay.....😳😩.
So I did what any normal person does in such a situation. I got up and did a glute/hamstring strength workout.
Then I had a decaff.
Soon after, back to the highs. Yeah....whatevs, lol.
And it's been high all morning once again.
So I did some cardio before my wonderful breakfast at 15hrs.
No discernable sunrise again, sadly, but still time in as much natural light as I can get.
Today I shall be surviving mostly on caffeine and cortisol....
It's a xmas eve tradition to open one present. And this is a perfect gift for me from my fabulous man. Decent coffee and walnuts! He knows me pretty well.
We're heading off in the morning to spend Xmas and Boxing day with family. Staying overnight in the motorhome. So I've prepared lunch and fruit for whilst we're there.
This is how I roll. I'll definitely eat more than usual, but I won't eat any less healthily!
