Unfortunately for the pan, ply, omni, and abro lesbians, I don't have the energy to create flags and write IDs for all mspec lesbian flags so I've just made the ones that I will use. I'll probably get around to the others eventually... Heh... Oh god my backlog is so full...

I'm only putting lesbidentity on this post because unfortunately Tumblr decided I can't do more than 10 images if I'm on the mobile app. Lame. But I think the others deserve separate posts anyway so... Lesbidentity!!

A xenoid or xeniden where your lesbian identity is a very important part of your being, and a core part of who you are.

The dawn lesbian flag xenoid flag is inherently pro-xenogender. The aurora, horizon, and sunset lesbian xenoid flags are pro-xenogender if the symbol colors are unchanged. If you see a version with different colored symbols, they may be made by exclusionists. The xeniden flags are all pro-xenogender.

so one of the things I was vaguely aware of before reproducing was that people hold a lot of anxiety around the gender of babies and 'wrongly' gendering babies (i.e. failing to guess correctly based on their clothes and appearance what their genital configuration is) and having now had a baby: wow, yes, they really do.

I take an extremely laissez-faire approach to baby clothes because like, they are constantly being thrown up on and grown out of and so on, what matters is that they are clean and easy to put on and I am not spending $$$$$ on them. as long as the colour/design is not directly offensive, it's fine. what this means is that people are quite frequently 'misgendering' the baby and then falling over themselves to apologise about it.

and, like, I haven't even had a chance to dress him in anything pink yet; this is based on rules I didn't expect like 'anything with flowers or sparkly bits on it is for girls only'. equally, I do not care when this happens because it's an irrelevancy, but THEY care to make sure I am not offended. so I have started telling them "look, he's only [x] months old; his gender is baby."

and you know what? you'd be surprised how many otherwise average heterosexual people process this and go "huh, yeah, I guess it is." there is a tiny amount of hope for the future after all.

noticed a dip in posts about palestine on my dash, so i think it deserves to be said again: palestine is not a trend. caring about genocide is not a trend. there are still reports about humanitarian aid trucks intentionally blocked off from gaza, meaning so many fucking gazans, a big portion of them children, are just bleeding out with no help. it just came out recently that israelis disguised as women and medics infiltrated a west bank hospital, at which point they killed 3 palestinians (whom they claim were militants. right). these people are living day to day without even the most basic utilities. anyone who claims to have “activism fatigue” needs to question why they’re so severely lacking in the most basic forms of compassion. you don’t get to just grow bored of talking about palestine. please never stop calling attention to the genocide happening full force in front of us.
