also maybe im wrong and way off abt this but in my experience a very clear example on western chauvinism is evident in fantasy series depicting "other" cultures. its always inspired by that culture, and rarely actually takes place in it. notice how its always fantasy in an "asian inspired" or rarely "african inspired" fantasy, and barely is a fantasy setting in asia or africa. and its done to "white" cultures too, esp eastern europeans, and i actually think eastern europeans r a really good example of that. medieval western europe used to be the go-to setting for fantasy stories, right, but now the "foreign" fantasy is on the rise, esp slavic fantasy. and its different when andrzej sapokowski wrote the witcher or when naomi novik wrote uprooted, bc theyre themselves polish/of polish descent (and esp naomi novik who is jewish and imo a fantasy setting is a v freeing way for jews to explore history thru literature, but thats my onion and also another post). i think its different bc i dont think naomi novik wrote uprooted in a fantasy setting inspired by poland bc it didnt interest her to write/read a story set in poland. but i think a lot of these books/shows/etc. r only able to gain popularity bc western audiences want to explore/read about a "different" culture without directly engaging with that culture and its history, but rather with bits and pieces that are comfortable to them that were chosen from those cultures, mostly created by white westerners that aren't from those cultures. and im not saying this as inherently against fantasy settings inspired by nonwestern cultures (im writing one too) but like, how many of these stories actually showcase ideas that are uncomfortable to the western audience (notice how many things the witcher show changed to appeal to mainstream western audiences)? how many of those stories show morality and ways of thinking that are unfamiliar to a mainstream western audience? how many fans would atla have if instead of saying 'what if these magical people were inspired by asian people' they grounded it in asia and asian people and cultures, and said 'what if asian people were magic'? how many western writers dying to write the next witcher actually want to read a story based in medieval poland? idk. maybe im way off, but thats just my take.

CoPilot in MS Word
I opened Word yesterday to discover that it now contains CoPilot. It follows you as you type and if you have a personal Microsoft 365 account, you can't turn it off. You will be given 60 AI credits per month and you can't opt out of it.
The only way to banish it is to revert to an earlier version of Office. There is lot of conflicting information and overly complex guides out there, so I thought I'd share the simplest way I found.
How to revert back to an old version of Office that does not have CoPilot
This is fairly simple, thankfully, presuming everything is in the default locations. If not you'll need to adjust the below for where you have things saved.
Click the Windows Button and S to bring up the search box, then type cmd. It will bring up the command prompt as an option. Run it as an administrator.
Paste this into the box at the cursor: cd "\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun"
Hit Enter
Then paste this into the box at the cursor: officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17726.20160
Hit enter and wait while it downloads and installs.
VERY IMPORTANT. Once it's done, open Word, go to File, Account (bottom left), and you'll see a box on the right that says Microsoft 365 updates. Click the box and change the drop down to Disable Updates.
This will roll you back to build 17726.20160, from July 2024, which does not have CoPilot, and prevent it from being installed.
If you want a different build, you can see them all listed here. You will need to change the 17726.20160 at step 4 to whatever build number you want.
This is not a perfect fix, because while it removes CoPilot, it also stops you receiving security updates and bug fixes.
Switching from Office to LibreOffice
At this point, I'm giving up on Microsoft Office/Word. After trying a few different options, I've switched to LibreOffice.
You can download it here for free: https://www.libreoffice.org/
If you like the look of Word, these tutorials show you how to get that look:
www.howtogeek.com/788591/how-to-make-libreoffice-look-like-microsoft-office/
www.debugpoint.com/libreoffice-like-microsoft-office/
If you've been using Word for awhile, chances are you have a significant custom dictionary. You can add it to LibreOffice following these steps.
First, get your dictionary from Microsoft
Go to Manage your Microsoft 365 account: account.microsoft.com.
One you're logged in, scroll down to Privacy, click it and go to the Privacy dashboard.
Scroll down to Spelling and Text. Click into it and scroll past all the words to download your custom dictionary. It will save it as a CSV file.
Open the file you just downloaded and copy the words.
Open Notepad and paste in the words. Save it as a text file and give it a meaningful name (I went with FromWord).
Next, add it to LibreOffice
Open LibreOffice.
Go to Tools in the menu bar, then Options. It will open a new window.
Find Languages and Locales in the left menu, click it, then click on Writing aids.
You'll see User-defined dictionaries. Click New to the right of the box and give it a meaningful name (mine is FromWord).
Hit Apply, then Okay, then exit LibreOffice.
Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\wordbook and you will see the new dictionary you created. (If you can't see the AppData folder, you will need to show hidden files by ticking the box in the View menu.)
Open it in Notepad by right clicking and choosing 'open with', then pick Notepad from the options.
Open the text file you created at step 5 in 'get your dictionary from Microsoft', copy the words and paste them into your new custom dictionary UNDER the dotted line.
Save and close.
Reopen LibreOffice. Go to Tools, Options, Languages and Locales, Writing aids and make sure the box next to the new dictionary is ticked.
If you use LIbreOffice on multiple machines, you'll need to do this for each machine.
Please note: this worked for me. If it doesn't work for you, check you've followed each step correctly, and try restarting your computer. If it still doesn't work, I can't provide tech support (sorry).

Microsoft made Recall—the feature that automatically tracks everything you do in an attempt at helping you except, you know, that's a massive security risk and data mining source—a dependency for the windows file explorer, meaning even if you forcibly strip Recall out you end up losing basic tools.
This is very much a "learn how to install Linux Mint on your laptop" moment. Richard Stallman et al were entirely correct, your computer will soon have spyware integrated deep into the system internals with no ability to cleanly remove it even for experienced, tech savvy users.
Yes, it sucks, there is no Linux distribution that has to even close to the level of support for software and peripherals that windows has, and even the easier distros like Mint still expect a level of tech savvy that Mac and Windows just don't require. Anyone telling you that Linux is just as easy and just as good is lying to you.
But Linux has never been easier, has never been as well supported as today, and simply doesn't contain egregious spyware (well, besides Ubuntu that one time I guess).

Public Risk
Synopsis. When you are almost caught in public.
Franco Colapinto —
The garage was dim, humming with distant voices and clanking tools as you pressed your back against the cool metal wall. Franco's lips found your neck, hungry, his hand sliding possessively over your waist, drawing you closer.
"Just a minute," he whispered in Spanish against your skin, breath hot. "I missed you all day..."
You gasped softly when his hand slipped under your shirt, fingertips teasing, mouth trailing toward your collarbone. His race suit was half open, messy and undone, the scent of champagne and sweat thick in the air.
Footsteps echoed.
Franco froze.
"Shh... someone's coming," you whispered, pulse racing.
He grinned against your throat, wicked. "Let them." But he pulled back reluctantly, adjusting his suit just as a mechanic passed by, completely unaware of what he'd almost seen.
When the coast cleared, Franco leaned in close, brushing his mouth over your ear.
"Next time... somewhere they will see. I want everyone to know you're mine."
Max Verstappen —
In the Red Bull motorhome suite, Max pins you against the glass wall with the paddock below — and the terrifying thrill that anyone could look up.
His hand slid up your thigh as you backed against the tall glass window of the Red Bull suite, the murmurs and camera clicks from the paddock below just faint noise.
"Max—" you gasped, breath catching as he pressed his body against yours, his hand curling possessively around your hip.
"No one's looking," he murmured against your lips, the smirk unmistakable in his voice. "But they could be. Right now."
His fingers trailed under your skirt, dangerously high, his knee parting your legs as you whimpered softly. You could see them down there — journalists, fans, staff.
Max smirked. "You like this, don't you? The risk." His mouth brushed your ear. "I could make you fall apart right here..."
A knock snapped you both to reality. "Max? Christian's asking for you."
He pulled away smoothly, biting back a grin. "Later," he whispered, eyes blazing. "Finish what I started."
Lewis Hamilton —
In the back of his private car, Lewis loses control — but the driver’s voice through the intercom makes things far riskier.
The tinted windows of Lewis’s car gave you both false confidence as his hand slid under the fabric of your dress, tracing your inner thigh with maddening patience. His teeth grazed your shoulder, breath hot against your skin.
"You know what you do to me when you wear this," he murmured, voice low and rough.
You gasped, gripping his wrist as his fingers slid higher — only to freeze when the driver’s voice crackled through the intercom.
"Sir? Just ten minutes to the hotel."
Lewis stilled for a heartbeat. Then his grin widened, dangerous and slow.
"Plenty of time."
His hand resumed its slow exploration, his knee parting your legs wider, thrill and fear mixing deliciously in your chest. If the driver looked in the mirror—if he heard—
Lewis kissed the corner of your mouth, wicked. "Quiet now, baby. Unless you want him to know what I’m doing to you."
Lando Norris —
Lando pulls you behind the McLaren hospitality desk for a stolen moment — but the staff is far too close for comfort.
“Lando—someone could see—” you gasped as he pressed you back against the storage shelf behind the hospitality desk.
"That’s what makes it fun," he whispered with a grin, his lips brushing your jaw, hand sneaking under your shirt. The buzz of voices and clinking glasses was dangerously close — staff just meters away.
"You’ll be quiet, right?" he teased, mouth hot against your ear. "Or I’ll have to make you."
His fingers hooked in your waistband, tugging slightly as you squirmed, heartbeat thundering. Anyone could come back here. The thought made your breath hitch, made Lando smirk wickedly.
"Lando? You in here?" a voice called nearby.
He pulled back at the last second, fixing your hair with playful fingers, winking as someone peeked around the corner — none the wiser.
As the staff left, Lando leaned close, smirk growing.
"Later, babe. When no one's stopping us."

COD Minecraft headcanon fhsdjhsjd
I think Soap would be a total red stone expert, bro would make absolutely anything automatic. But he doesn't care about the aesthetic, that mob farm is an eyesore to Gaz and the latter immediately planned a whole architecture to make it look prettier
Gaz is in charge for decoration, making sure they're stocked on food, tools, etc, and organizing things in chests (no need to do much, since Soap also made automatic sorting system)
I think Ghost would enjoy coming up with multiple ways to torture the villagers. Either that, or he would explore the world and collect every type of axolotl
Price would be the only one (trying) to play the game properly (he keeps mining diamond with stone pickaxe, but he's trying his best and that's what counts)

Throwback to my first time cheating at multiplayer minecraft. Put your torches down, let me explain. And no, I haven’t done it since.
I don’t remember what version it was, only that it was a very long time ago. Food healed hearts directly, and- this is the important part- mossy cobblestone could not be crafted or mined anywhere in the overworld save the floors of dungeons.
It also was a brilliant, vibrant green, so much more aggressive than its current gentle texture, but that’s neither here nor there.
I was playing on a survival server I’ve long since forgotten the name of, and I was putting the finishing touches on my lovely brick house. But the floor, no no. I was a picky child; only the finest of flooring would do.
I wanted mossy cobblestone.
Immediately I was at an impasse. I could strip mine and explore caves in the hope of finding one dungeon; but I needed two whole stacks of it for my floor. There was no /locate command at the time, and I knew nobody else well enough to ask for it. And at the time, chunkbase and other seed scanning tools didn’t exist; not that it would have helped, since I didn’t have the world seed.
Perplexed, I logged off and consulted with friends at school the next day.
There, I was advised to try an x-ray texture pack.
So I did.
And it worked a treat! The dungeons were rendered perfectly visible to me, and I easily dug straight down (smart and subtle!) and raked in the precious mossy cobblestone I needed.
At one point, one of the mods asked me in chat if I was x-raying. Having just turned off the pack minutes before the message came through, I cheerfully said no and skipped off to finish my floor.
At no point during this entire exercise did it occur to child me to use the x-ray pack to mine for the diamonds I could clearly see.

I'm not a linguist and I find the whole excercise of conlanging, while I love it and respect it, beyond my abilities, but I do have one thing or two to say about linguistic diversity and how boring is to have a "common" or "basic" language in fantasy or science fiction without exploring the implications.
Being a bilingual speaker of Spanish and English, and someone that because of work reasons and entertaiment tastes interacts a lot with English, I tend to see English as the equivalent of those "common" or "basic" languages of speculative fantasy. As a useful tool for communication, science technology and commerce. In real life, however, as you are aware, the expansion of English tends to undermine local languages, it's considered more valuable to know English that to know the language of your grandparents, or learn any other language you just feel curious about.
The experiences of every multilingual person are different, but in mine I know English, I write and read and listen to English a lot. But I don't consider myself an English *speaker*, I speak Spanish and more to the point Argentine Spanish, that's the culture I identify with, and it's the language I use to express my feelings and inner thoughts. I can't imagine saying "I love you" to anyone in English, to me it's just a tool I use to access to knowledge or communicate through language barriers ("basic", "common"). But interestingly, by both writing and participating in the wider English-speaker internet culture, isn't it part of my own culture, as an individual, too?
The fact is that English also has a culture(s) and a history and a corpus of literature. So when we write about "Common" or "Basic" languages in fiction we need to ask ourselves: where did they come from? How did they become the standard? Is there a literature, a canon, a culture of "Common" in your fantasy world? What about other languages, other cultures that aren't raised learning it and see it just as a tool? Because no matter the strenght of Anglophone cultural imperialism and the social value of learning English, I don't see Argentines, or for that matter Chinese, Italians or Russians abandoning their first language. And yet even in English and in all other languages (ESPECIALLY other languages, English is remarkably uniform) there is a variety of dialects. And we need to remember, once Latin was spoken only in a village in central Italy, and English in a rather remote rainy island. They weren't destined to have their future roles, history drives language.
So, when an author goes for the "universal language" explanation to avoid linguistic misunderstandings, for me, it raises more questions that I believe are worth exploring.

Husband!Zayne × Reader
Tumblr media
~ ♡ ~
“Ow no, Mr. Snowie gets cardiac arrest!” Aria squeaks, clutching her stethoscope tight in one hand, snowman plushie in another while bouncing on your lap. “Mommy, what’s cardiac arrest? Officers arresting hearts?” She looks up at you blinking, her grin baring her baby teeth.
You try your hardest not to chuckle with the way letter ‘r’ rolls off her clumsy tongue every time. But then again, you barely could remember any four-year-olds around who knew the phrase ‘cardiac arrest’ in first place.
You gently take her stethoscope from her, fingers tracing cold metal absentmindedly. Having a doctor husband came in handy since you didn’t have to buy any overpriced toy tool kits—Zayne kept bringing different out of commission medical supplies from Akso for her to play with. So your daughter owned pair of latex gloves, variety of masks, a sphygmomanometer, a thermometer and whole ton of other whatevermeters. Most of them didn’t even work, but Aria couldn’t care less—she is just like her daddy, and that is all that matters.
Aria dreams of being a ‘doctow’ from the moment you two visited Zayne in the hospital once—you often did ever since she was an infant, but her long-term memory started developing just recently. You just decided to go visit him and surprise with a homemade meal since it was your day off, and accidentally made your daughter find her life purpose.
Of course you two didn’t take it quite seriously since this age is all about exploring and being ambitious. But just in case—just in case—Zayne paid a visit to his university and had a small talk with his rector. You got surprised when he returned home, because you honestly thought your genius of a husband would get taken hostage in the basement of his old medschool. He is the bestest cardiac surgeon in the whole damn Linkon City, after all. As well as the most perfect husband and father you could ever get.
A tug on your sleeve from Aria brings you back in reality, and you honestly try to find a kid-friendly explanation to the question. Normally you’d send her off to Zayne, but Zayne’s busy and that’s why you’re hanging out with Aria in the first place—just fifteen more minutes before her bedtime.
“Nah, honey, cardiac arrests have nothing to do with police.” You chuckle, poking her tummy. “It’s more like when… Your heart goes still. No boom-boom at all.”
Aria gasps, even though she barely grasps the concept, and presses a palm to her chest, “Mine is boom-booming, mommy!”
”Of course it is, sunshine,” You smile gently. “It’ll be boom-booming for a very long time. You got a strong and healthy heart.”
Aria puffs out her chest proudly, “Yeah, I know! Daddy told me so. And then… then… He gave me some mints, but he told me not to tell you! He said that it’s okay to eat yummies sometimes! Because… because doctors… extr… ex… exga…” She then looks up at you with hesitant eyes, confused at the word, but you don’t need her saying a syllable more.
You know it all to well.
“Because doctors exaggerate all the time.” You utter softly, lips twitching in a warm smile.
”Mhm! That word! Mommy, what does eggag… that word mean?” Aria giggles, jumping on the couch so intensively her little pigtails start practically flying around.
You scoop her up, preventing activities before bed—because it’ll be impossible to put her to sleep if she’ll keep bouncing around, “That word means that you indeed can eat sweet treats sometimes, but only if you brush your teeth twice a day and won’t make a fuss when mommy takes you to dentist next week.”
Little carbon copy of Zayne wrinkles her nose at the mention like a decent little carbon copy of Zayne she is. Both hate dentists, both love candies, both keep you on your toes.
“It’s important, baby. Oh, it’s time to take daddy to dentist’s too, by the way. So you’ll get checked together.” You hum, holding your kid close to your chest.
“Daddy don’t need dentist! He a doctor, remember? He can to save anyone and everyone!” Aria declares, fidgeting with the wedding band on your finger, the white gold ring seemed to always fascinate her.
“Yeah. But even daddy needs to go to dentist sometimes. Daddy takes care of hearts, dentist takes care of teeth.” You explain, smoothing out her hair.
”Daddy is the coolest! He’s… like a superman, yeah? Yeah! Daddy hero!” Aria exclaims, clapping her small hands. Mind you she wasn’t even exactly daddy’s girl, she adored you both since you both saved people in your own ways.
“Daddy’s great, baby. But sometimes even daddy can’t do something. And that’s okay.” You ground her softly, feeling sudden urge to cut off her unhealthy determination to idolize her father.
Because thinking that someone is in charge of everything is something that could—that will—end up badly. You got a living example upstairs.
Aria’s tiny brows furrow, the oh-too-familiar crease in between them. Stubborn just like her father. Determined. Way too much. She always draws her little doodles until they turn out to be the way she wants them to be, until her pencils are broken, wanting everything to be perfect and growing frustrated when she can’t control the way things go.
That always got you worrying sick.
“But… Daddy is… Daddy… He perfect!” She states stubbornly. “Daddy do everything!”
You inhale, exhale and feel a tug in your heart. Pathological perfectionism. Passes down through generations. You just wish you could do something about it.
So you try to. You scoop Aria up once more, cupping her face tenderly and stroking her cheeks while looking her deep in the eyes. ”Baby. What’s with the word ‘perfect’? You don’t have to be perfect for your loved ones to love you. Perfect is a bad word. If you can’t do something, that doesn’t mean you’re bad. None is perfect. Even daddy. And that’s okay. Because daddy can’t do something doesn’t mean he’s not good enough.”
Aria sulks, blinking at you. “But I wanna be perfect!”
”To us, you are.” You reassure her, wishing you could ban the word from the household.
”Even if… when… if when I didn’t win the contest?” She mutters quietly, and your heart grows heavy again.
The stupid art contest her kindergarten organized. The very same one that made her little mind obsessed with the concept of perfection.
“Baby, we couldn’t care less. Mommy loves you. Daddy loves you. And mommy loves daddy, and daddy loves mommy. That’s all that matters. Loving each other is what makes us perfect to each other.” You then grab her snowman plushie—the one Zayne won in the claw machine for you when you weren’t even dating. “See this stitch over there? And that stain here. But you love your Mr. Snowman, right? Even if he has just one eye.”
Aria nods eagerly. “I love Mr. Snowie! Don’t care about eye!”
“That’s right.” You smile softly. “Exactly what I told you about.”
Your daughter nods once again before letting out a small yawn. You give her another smile, picking her up to bring upstairs. She doesn’t even squirm, holding her toy tight and tucking in to your chest.
You almost have to brush her teeth yourself with her being so sleepy. Quickly switching her to her pajamas, you get Aria settled in her bed.
“Mommy, what’s endocarditis?” She suddenly inquires softly, making you stop in your tracks.
You chuckle, ruffling her hair. “We’ll ask daddy tomorrow together. Because I barely have any idea, baby.”
You read Aria her favourite fairy-tale, and moments later she already almost dozes off, yet still tries to fight it stubbornly.
“Sweet dreams, baby. Daddy gonna come and kiss you goodnight when he’s done working. We love you.” You kiss her forehead softly, wrapping fluffy blanket tighter around her teeny frame.
Aria nods, yawning once again. “I gonna wait.”
”Sure you will.” You don’t even try to object, pretending to believe her. “I’ll turn the lights off anyway, alright?”
Another nod—and by the time you leave the bedroom, Aria’s asleep already, snoring softly. The familiar situation makes you chuckle under your nose while you make your way upstairs to check on your husband.
You see the dim light coming from under his study room’s door. When you knock, however, there’s no answer.
Predictable.
You quietly push the door open. The view meeting you is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.
Guess who’s working himself to the bone again.
Mop of dark hair is the first thing you see—Zayne’s head buried on top of the pile of files and documents scattered around the table. His glasses are still perched at the bridge of his nose; lenses pressed against the papers.
You take a few steps closer, your lips twitching in a subtle smile. That happened at least twice a week recently. And Zayne probably didn’t even know you always caught him red-handed.
Last month Zayne decided he really, really needs requalification. He probably wants to be the goddamn Hippocrates, you thought. He had enough on his plate already with constant surgeries and overall busy schedule. And now this.
You supported him, of course. Tried your best to make things easier for him—running hot baths, finding time to cook dinner before he gets home, being the one who spends most of the time with Aria. But that still didn’t erase the lines of exhaustion from his face, didn’t light his eyes up the way you wish you cold, his smiles remained wry.
Good thing this whole retraining thing is going to be over in just few weeks. The whole hospital tried to talk him out of it, yet here he is. Always trying to be not the best—the bestest.
Because when his daughter looks up at him with those wide adoring eyes like he’s a goddamn angel walking on Earth, he melts. When his daughter tells her kindergarten teacher that her favourite superhero is daddy, he bursts. When he hears you telling Aria how ‘daddy always makes sure mommy’s heart is okay’, he combusts and already opens his laptop to get back to research work. And when you whisper about how proud you are of him, he wants to achieve the impossible, to make you even prouder, to be on the top of the world and bring you there with him, to give you and your kid the moon and stars and the Sun even if that means getting his hands burned. He needs to save every patient, needs to justify the amount of trust others put in him, needs to grow and learn and improve and practice.
Needs you to consider him perfect.
And the sooth is, to you he is.
You stop near his table, being as quiet as possible. Zayne’s the lightest sleeper you’ve ever known, yet tonight he’s so overworked he doesn’t even stir as you take off his glasses, folding them and putting away in a case. You grab a pillow from armchair nearby, wishing you could just carry Zayne to bed instead so his neck won’t get numb in the morning—but being Hunter doesn’t make you Hercules.
Delicately lifting his head up a bit, you slide the pillow underneath so that his neck and head rest on something soft. Zayne remains motionless and unresponsive—just quiet puffs of breath spilling from his lips. You can’t resist running your fingers through his hair lovingly and then pressing a kiss to the crown of his head.
That’s when Zayne finally shudders, reacting to your presence.
”Shh. Get back to sleep.” You whisper, never stopping caressing his hair.
”I have to finish this.” He rasps, yet his eyes remain shut.
You reassure him right away. “It’s okay, dear. You got a day off tomorrow.”
“I promised Aria that I will take her to the rides.” Zayne croaks out, his voice soft and so tired.
Your heart squeezes once again. “I can take her instead. Or we all could just stay at home. Home is nice. We can sleep in—I’m off tomorrow as well.”
Zayne shakes his head, fighting sleep. “I got reports. And daughter. I must to prioritize it before myself.”
“You’re doing enough as it is.” You utter in a strangled tone, desperate to convince him just this once. “Please. Have some rest.”
Zayne looks up at you, his eyes hazy with drowsiness. “When Lord sends me blessings, I ought to make sure I deserve them. I was blessed thrice having a wife, a child and a job.”
Your words get stuck in your throat; you just squeeze his hand wordlessly. He squeezes yours back, his eyes drooping yet he stubbornly tries to keep them open. “You are getting more fabulous by every day I don’t mention it.”
Your lips curl up in an earnest smile. “There’s zero days you forget to mention it.”
He smiles back at you, all sleepiness and tenderness. “Then I’m doing everything right indeed.”
Zayne’s fingers trace your knuckles while you enjoy his blissed out expression that’s so rare to see these days.
“And you’re perfect.” You blurt out out of the blue. “Utterly, absolutely, undividedly perfect. Have you known that? And you still would be. Even if you didn’t work yourself to the state of passing out. Even if you wasn’t the best in your field. To me, you define perfection. Just because you’re imperfect. That’s exactly what makes you perfect.”
Zayne stills for a solid minute, before breathing out as if the weight is thrown off his shoulders. “That is what you think?”
You nod.
He keeps silence, and when he finally speaks, his lips twitch upwards. “None is perfect, doubtlessly. Even so, if my math is correct, imperfect and imperfect equals perfection. That means I am perfect. With you by my side. With Aria too, I’m twice as.”
Your smile mirrors his. “That equation is acceptable. Hope you’ll stand by it from now on.”
His answer to you is a kiss to your knuckles—reverent, chaste and grateful.
“I will.” Zayne nods lightly, head rubbing against flax of the pillow. “Starting right now.”
He then lifts his head, and moment later he’s on his legs already. You gaze confusedly at him, wondering what’s gotten into him.
“Moving to bed.” Zayne clarifies in a calm voice. “Then spending tomorrow learning how to be imperfect. Would waking up by the afternoon, with pleasure of not having to get my arms off you to leave earlier, be a good point of departure?”
Your heart flutters, and you wonder since when cardiac surgeons provoke cardiac arrests and not prevent them.
“Yeah. Sounds about right perfect to me.” You whisper as his hand finds yours, his wedding band brushing against yours.
Zayne lets a lazy grin stretch on his lips. “I reckon it would be nice if we banned this word in our household from now on.”
You chuckle, so happily and carelessly, not believing your ears.
As you lay in bed, Zayne’s arms holding you tight against his chest, your heart finally feels weightless in your ribcage.
Ironically enough, the day when a perfectionist accepts that it’s okay to be imperfect, turns out to be the perfect day.
And to you, Zayne’s ability to admit it makes him even more perfect. The most perfect. Perfectest, even.
Just like he always aimed to be.

marauders dr wand breakdown
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.
.
.
if you’re magic, you’re born into this world with a little bit of an itch, just a bothersome little crackle in your fingertips, a tingle in your brain, a need to do something, make something, break something — construction, destruction, transmutation — you were made to create .. but lacked the tool to channel that power
the wand is not only a piece of equipment. it’s a companion, a teacher, an extension of your mind — and the right wand finds you
mine found me after six different attempts, i was growing restless, my eleven year old attention span was wearing very thin and another false positive would have sent me into a spiral
but then i was handed this beauty :
Tumblr media
9.5” inches of dark red sandalwood, the kind that is found deep in the forests of karnataka. it encases a mere four strands of mermaid hair, braided together and kept in place by the sturdy celestite crystal near the base of the wood. embedded with both a source of magic (the mermaid hair) and a source of mediation (the crystal), this wand has a power that revels in the extremes, whatever the spectrum, it enjoys testing its limits. and to combat this detrimentally curious nature, the oxidised silver handle allows for a form of equilibrium, balancing the scales of both the wand and the witch that wields it —
red sandalwood :
from a tree that thrives in tropically dry and arid soil, red sandalwood (or sandalwood in general) is deeply paradoxical in its nature, it’s multifaceted, it’s twin layered — on the one hand, it enjoys an environment without much moisture, but on the other hand, sandalwood will always be associated with the moon and water — protective symbols of light and darkness, chaos and consolation — wielders with wands of this nature may find their magic is stronger at night, more acute during a full moon, a little temperamental at a new moon, and ever so inclined to natural, elemental magic … [excels in charms, alchemy and ancient runes]
mermaid hair :
an unusual wand core, mermaid hair reverberates at a level of serene melancholy, it engages well with those that thrive in solidarity. very loyal in nature — it will not be easily swayed to another wielder if stolen or even won in battle. it seeks freedom and exploration and is inclined to wielders that are curious and experimental in their magic. when mastered, this core has a proclivity to enhance the mental stimulation of its wielder and empower some forms of wandless magic, opting to be subconsciously linked rather than practically used. because of this deeply personal connection between the wand core and its wielder, mermaid hair wands tend to be a novelty and passed down between generations of the same family, much like mermaids and their tightly knit bonds, so, if a wielder is randomly chosen by a mermaid hair wand, they might want to look into their family history … [excels in potions, herbology and alchemy]
celestite crystal :
highly vibrational in nature, celestite is both fragile yet powerful. when tethered to something sturdy and dependable, celestite has the ability to transmute and enhance the energy of its host and one needs to only touch it to feel the charge of its power. it is used by many seers and mages, adorned on their person as a beacon of psychic activation, giving clarity to clairvoyant messages, and when used right, it can revolutionise dreams to be more vivid and memorable. on the more practical side, both wizards and muggles alike use this crystal for its flammability — in fireworks and potions, to destroy cursed objects and burn bloodied runes — this crystal can start a flame with just a sliver of a shard, if left uncontrolled … [excels in potions, ancient runes and defence against the dark arts]
oxidised silver :
renowned for its safety and protective properties, silver has been used for millennia to ward off vampires, werewolves and malevolent spirits (though the accuracy of this belief is debatable), it explains the age of the wand itself — a wand encased in silver has lived a long life and has probably been used for many centuries. the element of change and the cycles of life and death pass by, but the power of silver doesn’t diminish, it only evolves — the oxidised nature of silver responds to the temperament of the wielder, the way they hold the wand, the placement of their hand, and it blackens around the grasp — light surrounded by darkness, the shadow beneath the flame, death preceding rebirth … [excels in transfiguration, alchemy, and ancient runes]

Writing Post Masterlist
All my posts about writing - plus some I absolutely loved by other writers.
Masterlists by Other People (all good)
"Writing Tips Masterpost" by @deception-united - Deception-United has an incredibly wealth of resources available, far more comprehensive and detailed than mine. Go check it out!
"WQA Post Master Lists" by @writingquestionsanswered - Another fantastic and wonderfully comprehensive resource that covers damn near everything you need to know about writing. Genuinely one of the best free resources on writing that you could find on the internet.
General Advice for a Happy Writing Life
"The Myth of the Martyr Artist" - An incredibly important post, perhaps my most important one ever, that discusses why mental illness is a burden, not a benefit. I have no idea why this even needs to be said, but it does, apparently.
"Building Self-Esteem as a Writer" - Why you gotta be nice to yourself. You gotta.
"Identifying bad writing advice" - Warning signs that the post you are reading kinda sucks and you should click off.
"Advice to Beginner Writers: The Good, the Bad, and the Unpleasant" - How long it takes to become a good writer, what to focus on when learning, and why fanfic is such a useful tool.
"Mindset Shifts: Fanfiction -> Original Fiction" - What fanfic writers should know about deciding to take on original characters and stories.
"Defeating Protracted Writer's Block" - What to do when you find it impossible to write for days, weeks, or months at a time.
"Five Common Anxieties of Newbie Writers, Demystified" - Explorations of five mindsets that can set younger writers back as they learn their craft, including overcompetitiveness, overdescribing, and fearing they're "too old."
"Good Motivations for Continuing to Write" - Why it is crucial to have a passion for writing beyond fame and fortune.
"Extremely controversial writing opinions that will make you mad (but I'm going to say them anyway)" - Things you really don't want to hear, but need to be said. A bit of tough love, including the insignificance of ideas, the cold hard truth about how non-writers react to your writing, and the essentiality of having a well-rounded life.
"Why Mindfulness Is a Key Practice for Writers" - On the need to slow down and let our brain rest - plus some options that are categorically not sitting there in dead silence (boring).
"Writing When Happy" - Wherein I hijack someone's question to discuss the Myth of the Martyr Artist, why we might self-limit because of it, and how to do the impossible: write when we're happy.
"The Neurodivergent Writer’s Guide to Fun and Productivity" by @bookishdiplodocus - Excellent advice on how enjoying the process and reminding yourself that writing is supposed to be fun can help you stay motivated and productive, even when your brain is not cooperating.
"The Glorification of Self-Deprecation in Art/Writing Spaces" by @nicolkoutoulakiauthor - I've discussed before how crucial it is to have a healthy self-esteem when writing, but Nicol does it even better here. Nicol also includes some excellent reframing tactics so you can stay motivated.
Generalish Writing Advice (multifactorial)
"Signs That You Will Probably Finish Your Writing Project" - An analysis of the mindset that leads to results, and encouragement on how to develop them.
"'How Do I Start Writing?'" (Or; A Psychoanalysis of Newbie Writer Fears) - Inspired by the dozens of Reddit posts that ask this exact same thing, often with useless responses. So why do people ask this? I offer my theory.
"I Can Think of Ideas But Can't Write Them!" - A consideration of the many reasons you might find it difficult to get started on your precious idea-baby.
"How to elevate your writing style with 6 simple hacks" - Information about how to develop a prettier prose style, catch errors, develop good dialogue, and focus on brevity.
"How to improve your writing style : a 5-steps guide" by @writer-logbook - Especially great information on why reading widely is so helpful for your craft!
"Some Writing Advice" by @whispers-whump - Especially great discussion of why you shouldn't write what you mean.
"Practical Writing Advice Part 2" by @so-many-ocs - Does what it says on the tin. Simple, easy-to-follow advice that can break you out of writer's block.
"25 Prose Tips for Writers" by @thewriteadviceforwriters - I absolutely love the emphasis on sound and harmony here. As someone whose entire book series revolves around the magic of poetry, of course I think this is incredibly important advice!
"Pacing and Show Don't Tell" by @mylordshesacactus - Two for one deal! First, learn more about why pacing is important; then, look at some examples of the classic advice "show, don't tell." The post does a great job on breaking down what show don't tell actually means and what is not a violation of this guideline so that newer writers aren't confused.
Writing tools
"How to Build a Sustainable Writing Habit Through SCIENCE (Fuck Off, NaNoWriMo)" - Why NaNoWriMo doesn't actually motivate young writers and how to do better through a spreadsheet (yes, really, a spreadsheet). It also explains the importance of intrinsic motivation!
"'I've Outlined Too Much and Now I Can't Write!' (Or: the Double Outline Method for Overanxious Plotters)" - Some of us tend to go absolutely ham on our outlines, to the point where they're practically their own books. But then we also tend to not actually do the writing attached to said outline. Does this mean outlining is useless? Of course not. My method lets you have your outline and eat it too. (.... Wait.)
"'How Do I Make Myself Start Writing?' (Tips to Get the Damn Thing Done) - In this post, I provide a step-by-step guide to start writing, including a few tools to help improve motivation and concentration.
"How to Write Faster (And, Hopefully, Better Too)" - Eliminating distractions and forcing your brain to write is key to getting more done. Here, I explain how you might be limiting yourself by too much thinking and not enough doing.
Worldbuilding
"Stop Making Everything So Damn Complicated!" - Why fantasy (and scifi) does not need to be dizzyingly intricate to be enjoyable.
"How to Kick Ass at Worldbuilding" - I offer some suggestions on how to create a grounded and interesting world that will not bore your readers, based on real life examples.
"Grounded vs. Airy Fantasy" by @aethersea - Excellent breakdown of different levels of groundedness in fantasy and why it's important to understand your own approach.
"Fantasy Guide to Building a Culture" by @inky-duchess - Thorough and methodical analysis of what can create a compelling fantasy culture, including those things that many fail to think about when writing.
"Writing tip - Research" by @pygmi-cygni - Fantastic assessment of the importance of research, including for fantasy stories. As Pygmi-Cygni said, a lot of people claim that they don't need to do any research for fantasy novels, which isn't true! Any parallels to IRL need to be realistic, or you will lose credibility.
Plotting
"How to Use Chomolungma for Writing Adventure Stories; Or, the Plot Mountain Method" - If you're sick of saving felines who should really figure their own shit out, it's time to head to Plot Mountain. In this post, I offer you an alternative to the formulaic "Save the Cat" and "Hero's Journey" which also incorporates tension, characterization, and forward momentum.
"Avoiding Melodrama In Your Writing" - The most annoying all things: melodrama. My least favorite thing. Do not do it. I will show you how.
"How to Find a Plot When All You Have is Characters and Setting" by @rheas-chaos-motivation - This is a common problem for many writers, when you have cool characters or an intriguing setting. This short post can help you kickstart your ideas for how to create an intriguing plot that has built-in tension.
Description
"Remembering Perspective When Writing Descriptions" - Key factors to think about when describing other characters or settings from your POV.
"Description, Momentum, and Tension; Or, How Not to Bore a Reader" - Why, when, and where to put description so that people don't skip over it. Hopefully.
"Writing Notes: Seasons" - Each season has both benefits and downsides. In this post, we look at the negatives and positive aspects of each so you can decide how a particular season may strengthen your themes - plus some descriptions to help inspire you.
"Writing Advice: Spicy Mundanity" - Wherein I explain how to stop having boring descriptions by packing in characterization.
"How to Write Smut?" by @unfriendlywriter - Wonderful examples of how to write heartstopping smut.
"How to pull off descriptions" by @fictionstudent - Fictionstudent has a ton of great posts, both about film analysis and about the art of writing. I especially liked this one because it discusses how important perspective is for descriptions and the importance of filling in the details as a character would rather than just throwing it all at the reader at one time.
"How to avoid White Room Syndrome" by @writerthreads - Fantastic and focused advice on how to ensure you're offering readers just enough setting to help them envision the world.
Characterization
"Writing Relatable Characters; Or, Using Human Failures to Your Advantage" - Explaining how you can use character flaws and human needs to create a relatable character. Also explains the basic development of a plot, which is about equilibrium.
"How NOT to Write a Character" - Wherein I give you some examples of annoying characters we want to punt off a cliff so you can watch yourself.
"Writing Strong Female Characters" - Why you should give your female characters a secret goal, as well as how to avoid common 'strong female' stereotypes.
"Writing Compelling Trauma in Fiction: Dos and Don'ts" - How to avoid melodrama and create intriguing emotional wounds for characters.
"Quality Assurance Checks for Character Development" - Thought exercises that can help you differentiate characters, prune down unnecessary characters, develop true chemistry between LI and MC, and avoid having too many POVs.
"Developing Character Agency (Or; Cutting the Plot Strings)" - A discussion of character agency and how to ensure your characters are not bound by the narrative.
"Writing Notes: Thought Distortions" by @literaryvein-reblogs - Some psychological concepts you can use in your writing to add depth to characters.
"Questions about your character’s perspective on love and relationships" by @luna-azzurra - Excellent questions that can help you delve into your character's attachment style, what baggage they may bring to a current relationship, and how to create conflict through mentality.
"How to Write a Confession of Love," also by luna-azzurra - Perfect discussion of how to create tension, the utility of setting, not making it perfect, and including the other character's response.
Revisions
"Common Writing Issues that Reduce Readability" - Examples of fixes for four common issues: double describing, long sentences, overexplaining, and head hopping.
"How to Avoid Purple Prose" - A critical part of the revision process is making sure your writing is clear and balanced. In this post, I show a blatant example of purple prose and provide suggestions on how to make a more elegant passage.
"Differential Diagnosis When Your Writing Is Getting Worse" by @ariaste - Fantastic explanation by a professional writer about why you might feel like your writing is getting worse and what to do about it.
"How to Make Your Writing Less Stiff Part 3" by @physalian - Physalian's whole blog has some excellent advice, so definitely give it a look!
"How to Improve Your Writing" - Also by literaryvein-reblogs, this offers some excellent exercises to help with sentence-level issues, such as modifiers, parallelism, and details.
Publishing
"How to promote your book online : a discussion about social media (and few tips)" by writer-logbook - Great tips about how to get more interest in your book. I especially enjoyed the emphasis on patience and consistency. Writer-logbook has some excellent info overall about the nitty-gritty of writing, so I definitely recommend poring through their blog in general. (That's why they're included here twice!)
"A masterclass in how not to market your books, in one singular tweet" - Wherein I help you derive lessons from an abysmal tweet by an author.
"Mistakes I Made When Self-Pubbing My First Book (Part 1: Mindset Edition)" - I talk about how being delulu is not the solulu, that yes marketing is important (even if it is horrible), and how a bit of self-confidence can go a long way.
"Mistakes I Made When Self-Pubbing My First Book (Part 2: Presentation Edition)" - Graphics and covers and blurbs! Learn about them. Do not do what I did.
"Mistakes I Made When Self-Pubbing My First Book (Part 3: Ads and Reviews Edition)" - Why you have to get reviews. You gotta. And you gotta demand them. Shake those reviews out of your readers. You'll thank me later.
Specific Research Advice
"Assassination Methods Through the Decades: A Writer’s Handbook" by @hayatheauthor - A thorough review of different assassination methods, including a section discussing common assassination methods by region!
"How to Write Someone in a Wheelchair" - A group effort! This is a reblog chain discussing body language in manual wheelchairs, the mechanics of power wheelchairs, wheelchair propulsion methods, and a reminder that just because someone is in a wheelchair doesn't mean they can't walk short distances.
"Writing Research Notes: Caves" - Oh caves how I love them. Caves. Let me tell you about them if you want to write about caves. Blessed.
"Writing Research Notes: Horses" - A beginner's guide to horse mindsets, whether horses like working, approaching horses, how to ride, and tips on training.

"Writing Research Notes: Politics" - I provide a quick overview about governments and international relations, based off my suffering while getting an MA in International Relations.
"Stop Doing This in Injury Fics!" by @pygmi-says-hi - Discusses some common errors when writing whump/angst. The fever part was especially helpful for me!
"Writing US Military Characters" by @lookbluesoup - An explanation of the habits and mentality of US military characters. Many of these were quite helpful for my fantasy military characters, so you can get a lot of mileage out of these for soldiers in other militaries too!
Little Funsies
"What Painting Style Is Your Writing?" - A short exploration of different writing styles to help you better understand your own approach.
I'll be adding onto this as I continue to scroll through my old likes and, of course, as I find more resources.

During A Lunar Eclipse
Tumblr media
The total lunar eclipse on the night of March 13-14, 2025, will be visible across the Midwest. During totality (1:26 AM - 2:31 AM), the Moon will take on a reddish hue due to Earth's atmosphere filtering sunlight.
Lunar eclipses are powerful celestial events that carry deep spiritual and magickal significance. They represent a time of transformation, endings, revelations, and deep shadow work. This guide explores the mystical potential of lunar eclipse magick, including its meanings, best practices, spells, and rituals.
Understanding the Magick of a Lunar Eclipse
Astrological and Energetic Influence
• A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow over the Moon. This symbolizes the veiling of emotions (the Moon) by external forces (the Earth) and the light of consciousness (the Sun).
• Eclipses are seen as moments of fate, bringing hidden truths to the surface.
• They mark a time of release, transformation, and karmic cycles closing.
• The astrological sign in which the eclipse occurs influences the type of energy being released.
Why is Lunar Eclipse Magick Different?
• Unlike regular full moons, lunar eclipses are highly unstable energetically, making them unsuitable for typical full moon rituals (such as manifestation and charging tools).
• Instead, they are ideal for banishing, shadow work, endings, spiritual transformation, and ancestral work.
• Eclipses accelerate spiritual evolution, so spells and intentions cast during this time may have rapid and intense results.
Preparing for Lunar Eclipse Magick
Set Your Intentions Wisely
Since the energies of a lunar eclipse can be unpredictable, take time to reflect on what you truly need to release or transform. Ask yourself:
• What patterns or emotional wounds am I ready to face?
• What cycles in my life are ending?
• What do I need to purge to make space for new growth?
Create a Sacred Space
• Cleanse your space with smoke (sage, palo santo, mugwort) or sound (bells, singing bowls).
• Dim the lights or use candles to reflect the shadowy energy of the eclipse.
• Set up an altar with items related to the Moon (silver objects, lunar crystals like moonstone and selenite, bowls of water).
• If working with deities, ancestors, or spirits, invite them with offerings (wine, honey, incense, or symbolic items).
Ground and Protect Yourself
• Meditate for a few minutes to center yourself.
• Visualize a protective shield of light surrounding you.
• Carry or place grounding crystals like black tourmaline, obsidian, or hematite nearby.
Lunar Eclipse Rituals and Spells
Shadow Work Ritual (Best for Inner Healing & Self-Discovery)
Needed:
• A journal or piece of paper
• A black candle
• A mirror
Instructions:
Light the black candle and sit in front of the mirror. Gaze into your own eyes, asking: What truths do I need to face? What parts of myself have I been avoiding? Write down the thoughts and emotions that arise. After journaling, say,
"Under the shadowed Moon, I embrace my hidden self. May I heal, grow, and transform."
Blow out the candle, thanking the eclipse energy for its lessons.
Tumblr media
Banishing and Cord-Cutting Spell (Best for Letting Go & Breaking Attachments)
Needed:
• A piece of paper
• A black string or cord
• A candle (black or white)
• A bowl of saltwater
Instructions:
Write down what you want to release (a habit, fear, toxic relationship). Tie the black string around the paper, symbolizing your attachment. Light the candle and say,
"By the power of this eclipse, I release what no longer serves me. The past is gone, the future is mine."
Cut the string with scissors or burn the paper, then drop it into the bowl of saltwater. Dispose of the remnants outside to finalize the release.
Ancestral Connection & Divination (Best for Seeking Guidance & Wisdom)
Needed:
• A photo or object of an ancestor/spirit guide
• A candle (blue or white)
• Tarot or oracle cards
• Mugwort or rosemary incense
Instructions:
Light the candle and incense, inviting your ancestors to join. Meditate, focusing on their presence, and ask for guidance. Shuffle and draw tarot/oracle cards with the question: 'What message do my ancestors have for me?' Record any insights, dreams, or emotions that come through. Thank your ancestors, leaving an offering if desired.
Moon Water for Releasing (Best for Cleansing & Emotional Healing)
Unlike regular full moon water, eclipse-charged water is best used for cleansing rather than charging magical tools.
Instructions:
Place a bowl or jar of water outside during the lunar eclipse. Whisper into the water,
"Absorb the power of transformation, cleanse all that is old."
Use this water later for ritual baths, washing hands after shadow work, or sprinkling around your space for energetic cleansing.
What NOT to Do During a Lunar Eclipse
• Avoid manifestation or charging crystals. The chaotic energy can create unintended effects.
• Do not perform love spells or attraction rituals. Eclipse energy is about endings, not beginnings.
• Refrain from making drastic life decisions. Emotions run high, and things might appear differently after the eclipse.
• Don’t ignore your emotions. If deep feelings arise, acknowledge and process them rather than suppressing them.
Post-Eclipse Integration & Grounding
After the eclipse, you may feel drained or overwhelmed. Here’s how to rebalance:
• Take a Ritual Bath: Use Epsom salts, lavender, or rosemary to cleanse residual energies.
• Journal Your Experience: Write down any emotions, visions, or messages you received.
• Eat Grounding Foods: Root vegetables, herbal teas, and nuts help stabilize your energy.
• Spend Time in Nature: Walking barefoot on grass or meditating outside aids in grounding.
• Rest and Reflect: Eclipse energy lingers for a few days, so give yourself time to process.
Lunar eclipses are portals of deep transformation, offering opportunities for profound inner work. By approaching them with respect, intention, and awareness, you can harness their power for spiritual evolution, healing, and release.

Request: can u pls do au claggor x fem reader where the reader gets hurt and he takes care of her
Hope you like it anon! :)
-
Claggor knew this was a bad idea.
But alas, you’re always so stubborn, and there was no way of convincing you not to come with him (although he did try).
You wanted to come with him down to the fissures, insisting that you could help him in some way. He’s been doing tests for months now, working with different plants and methods of cleaning the air. He at the very least got you to put a mask on while you’re down there, even though you both have been used to breathing that toxic air your whole lives.
The mines are full of sharp objects and plenty of things to trip over, causing Claggor to keep you close to him at all times. He’s holding your hand, pulling you in at your waist, and occasionally just carrying you in his arms or on his back. He refuses to let you get hurt.
Despite all his efforts, though, the inevitable still happens.
You had wandered off while he was focused on experimenting with the soil, exploring the abandoned parts of the mines with curiosity. You bumped into something a little too clumsily, and before you processed what you hit, an old tool comes falling down.
You scream, nothing in your mind registering but excruciating pain.
Claggor calls your name and sprints towards your shrill voice, finding you on the ground, your leg bloody and likely broken.
He rips off a piece of his shirt and wraps it tightly around the gash, hoping the pressure will be enough to slow the bleeding until he can get you home.
“I-I’m sorry, Clag-” you say between sobs. “I know you didn’t want me down here…”
“Stop it,” he refutes you, scooping you up with ease. “I need to get you back. You’re going to be okay.”
He tends to you fervently, making sure your leg isn’t infected and wrapping it up in a somewhat sloppy cast. He gives you some pain potion from the bathroom cabinet and surrounds you with pillows on your bed so you’re as comfortable as possible. He doesn’t say much—too focused on your wounds to form words.
“Are you mad at me?” you ask, eyes still watery.
“Why would I be mad at you?” he finishes tucking you in with blankets and brushes a hair out of your face.
“I didn’t listen to you, and now you have to deal with taking care of me.”
“When have I ever complained about taking care of you?” he slides in beside you on the bed and wraps his arm around you gently.
“But you had so much you wanted to get done today,”
“So? I’ll do it another day,” he kisses the top of your head. “There is nothing I’d rather be doing right now.”
You smile. The pain is still far from subsiding, but the safety of Claggor’s arms make it much more bearable.
