AI and Health: New Technologies Paving the Way for Better Treatment
Artificial intelligence (AI) is expanding rapidly in the health sector, and it is revolutionizing our medical system. With the help of AI, new technologies are being developed that are not only helpful in accurately diagnosing diseases but are also playing an important role in personalized treatment and management.
Quick and accurate diagnosis of diseases AI-based tools can now analyze medical imaging data such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs quickly and accurately. This helps doctors to quickly detect complex conditions such as cancer, heart diseases, and neurological problems.
Personalized medicine AI can help create personalized treatment plans for every individual by analyzing genomics and biometrics. This technology ensures that the patient gets the right medicine and the right dose at the right time.
Improved health management AI-based health apps and wearables such as smart watches are now helping people monitor their health condition. These devices regularly track health indicators such as heart rate, blood pressure and sleep quality.
Accelerating medical research The role of AI has become extremely important in the development of new drugs and vaccines. Using AI, scientists can analyze complex data sets and make new medical discoveries faster.
Accessible and affordable healthcare AI technology is helping in delivering affordable and effective healthcare, even in rural and remote areas. Telemedicine and virtual health assistants are bridging the gap between patients and doctors.
Conclusion Artificial intelligence is playing an important role in making healthcare more effective, accurate, and accessible. However, there are challenges such as data security and ethics in the use of AI technology which need to be dealt with. In the coming years, with more advanced and innovative uses of AI, the healthcare landscape may change completely.

Another question for you-- I recently found an article titled "Secrets of Shadow the Hedgehog's Past Revealed in Newly-Translated SA2 Document" on Sonic Stadium. It contains a fan translation of a short story in the style of an official report written by Rouge. The article links to a now-defunct forum post. I was wondering, do you know what the original source of the story is, or have you heard of it? Perhaps even translated it yourself? Thank you for your time!
here, enjoy
(I should also mention that it was because of that crappy old translation on Sonic Stadium that Maria's disease became known as "neuro immunodeficiency syndrome" in canon material even though it was not called that in the JP text. it's not even neurological!!! fucking hell!!!)

YOU'VE GOT EMAIL (König X OC: Medical Student!Snow) PART I
Summary: When the Colonel from some Private Military Corporation group accidentally send KorTac's secret file via email to a random civilian girl.
or
König send wrong email to a wrong person
TWs: A lot curse words (from Snow), both of them being passive-aggressive, slow burn (kinda). I just wrote this for fun
Words Count: 3k (That's a lot for an email lol)

Lieutenant,
Apologies for the inappropriate transmission. As head of KorTac Special Forces, securing sensitive documents is of utmost priority. Please confirm deletion of the attached file and we’ll consider the matter closed.
While I understand your confusion receiving such a file unsolicited, KorTac business must remain confidential. I trust a responsible professional such as yourself understands the necessity of discretion in such matters. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if any other issues arise.

Excuse me,
I have no idea what you’re talking about. All I know is I got some weird files from “KorTac Tactical” that I definitely did NOT ask for. Do you know how scary it is to get secret military documents out of nowhere? I thought it was one of my friends pranking me at first.
Instead of lecturing me about deleting things, maybe you should be more careful who you send your “top secret” info to. I’m just trying to study neurology over here, not get dragged into some clandestine Special Forces stuff.
Lighten up a little, yeah? It was an honest mistake I’m sure. No harm done.

Ms. Farron,
I can assure you there was no “creepy email” or files sent from this office. As Commander of one of the world’s premier private military factions, securing classified intel is of utmost priority. If some file was erroneously transmitted to your address in error, it did not originate from my users.
While I understand the desire to shrug off mistakenly received sensitive documents, national security does not warrant such lackadaisical treatment. If you have relevant data in your possession, basic courtesy requires replying to the original correspondent – in this case, myself – to ascertain the source of error.
Do let me know if you retrieve any files in question. And in future, a bit more discretion and less indignation may serve you well when inadvertently encountering restricted information networks. Consider this a learning experience.

Hi Colonel Tightpants,
Thank you for the condescending lecture. As I’ve said THREE times now, I never got any files from you or KorTac or wherever before. All I know is I woke up to an ominous email saying “Top Secret KorTac files” or something. Pretty annoying/alarming for a simple student!
And excuse me for not dropping everything to thoroughly investigate a mistake that wasn’t even mine. Some of us have actual classes to study for, not play secret agent all day.
If you’re so worried about security breaches, maybe focus on your end instead of harassing innocent people via multiple snobby emails. I’ve got better things to do than argue in circles with Mr. High-and-Mighty.
Please remove me from your contact list going forward. And do try to lighten up a little!
Regards,
Snow
P.S. The file is attached. I called it “Creepy Email From Creepy Colonel” for your convenience. Have fun decrypting your own mystery ;)

Ms. Farron,
I will not be spoken to in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. While your frustrations are understandable, maintaining proper decorum and respect for sensitive operational matters is not an optional courtesy – it is imperative.
You’re accusations of “harassment” are as unfounded as they are insulting. Do not mistake my patience and courtesy thus far for weakness. Should any real documents surface from my network in error, I expect their immediate return without petulant games or sass.
As a private military organization operating across the globe, security is no light concern for this command. If unable to grasp even the basic responsibility of confirming received documents' origins for the sake of national safety, perhaps the world of intelligence is beyond your current realm of comprehension.
Consider this your final warning. Any further unsubstantiated claims or uncooperative behavior will be met with the full weight of legal action and your academic institution will be notified accordingly. Is that absolutely clear, Ms. Farron?
Reply confirming so or cease contact immediately. I will not tolerate insubordination, especially from an civilian amateur dabbling where she has no clearance. Maintain discretion as instructed or suffer consequences – the choice is yours.

Colonel High-Horse,
Spare me your thinly veiled threats. If you’re so sure I have hide some Top Secret Files™, by all means come search my dorm room yourself since you clearly don’t believe a word I say. Oh wait, you can’t – because there’s NOTHING.
Maybe take a break from power tripping over email and try listening to the person who’s actually involved for once. Not my fault if your big bad security systems have holes. But I guess acknowledging mistakes isn’t very military, is it?
You wanna see uncooperative and petulant? Keep harassing me and I’ll forward our whole conversation to the national news. Something tells me they’d love to hear how easily “the world’s premier private military” loses confidential files.
So for the last time – I did NOT receive ANY files from you or KorTac aside the one you accidentally send. If you’re incapable of comprehending that, then you’re dumber than you look. Consider THIS your final warning to lay off before I take action, Colonel Tightass.

Ms. Farron,
Your insubordination has crossed several lines. While I sought to resolve this discreetly, you force my hand with threats and insults. Know that I do not respond kindly to such provocation.
If you insist upon escalating this beyond reason, so be it. However, tread carefully – you are ignorant of forces beyond your control. Dare to sully KorTac’s name to fuel your petulance, and all your academic and personal records will undergo… thorough review.
Accidents happen, as you claim. But any damage to our operations will not be taken lightly, no matter your perceived innocence. Heed my words well, girl – you do not wish to become an enemy of this command.
Consider this last attempt at civil discourse. Cease contact and let this die, or suffer consequences you cannot imagine. The choice, as before, remains yours.
I expect no further correspondence. You are now on formal notice – proceed at your own peril.

The choice is simple – walk away unscathed, or persist in this idiocy and face consequences beyond imagination. Think carefully on your next move, little one. Tread no further, and this can end.

Well well, what have we here. It seems our intrepid Dr. Farron has landed herself in an inebriated state this night.
Can’t say I blame you for seeking alcohol’s comfort after our little disagreement. Dealing with my “stupid emails” and “threats” must have been terribly traumatic. You have my deepest sympathies, truly.
While unwise to conduct militarized business intoxicated, I’ll admit your drunken ramblings provided some mild amusement. The imagery of you partying it up solely to spite me was rather quaint. Do try to stay safe in your revelries, dear – would hate for some unfortunate accident.
As for your daring insinuation about encountering my likeness at a bar, I can assure you my nights are occupied with matters far more pressing than drinking. But I appreciate the laugh, strange as it came from such a belligerent tongue.
Enjoy your hangover, Snow. And sleep well – who knows what mischief tomorrow may bring.

That being said, I suppose I owe you an apology for that ridiculous email last night. Not my finest moment, to say the least. But you seem to bring out the worst in me, so.
Consider us even for any “amusement” you got at my expense. I’m suffering enough with this hangover from hell as it is.
Just so we’re clear though – I’m not some damsel for you to patronize or imply threats towards. Keep your smug sarcasm, I don’t need it. We’re done here, got it?

Alright Colonel Buzzkill, I’ll admit my constant insults aren’t getting us anywhere. As much as I hate to inflate that already massive ego of yours, maybe there was a tiny little misunderstanding somewhere along the way.
Med school has been kicking my ass lately and I’ve been on edge. Between the mounting student loans, endless assignments, and stressful exams, I’m about one Red Bull away from a full breakdown. Not that you probably care about such peasant problems.
Anyways, my point is – I may have overreacted a bit to this whole email mixup. Even if it WAS totally not my fault *eyes emoji*. Can’t a girl blow off some steam without the world’s most uptight Colonel threatening her into an early grave?
Lay off with the intimidation tactics already. I said I was sorry for getting drunk and belligerent, more or less. What more do you want, my first born child in sacrifice?
Just, try to lighten up a little if we have to keep interacting for god knows what reason. I’m too exhausted to keep fighting a war on 20 different fronts. Truce?

Oh? So the fledgling doctor deigns to admit a modicum of culpability at last. How gracious of her highness to acknowledge her part in this debacle, no matter how begrudgingly.
Though I’ll not deny deriving a certain satisfaction from seeing you squirm, that was never my aim. As Commander of KorTac, security of sensitive data is no laughing matter – a concept you seemed unwilling or unable to grasp at the time.
However, as one engaged in higher pursuits of intellectual rigor and public service, I can understand the pressures that come with such territory. Medical education is a noble yet arduous path, as I’m sure even your addled mind comprehends on occasion.
Very well, Ms. Farron – consider this matter put to rest. A temporary ceasefire it is, for the sake of future global stability if nothing else. But tread not again where you have been warned, or I shall not be so gracious next transgression.
Do try to mind your health and studies in lieu of drunken revelry. Wouldn’t want to lose such a pugnacious spirit to frivolity or misfortune. Now, do run along – no doubt some looming assignment awaits its dissection.

Aww, is that actually concern I detect underneath all the big important Colonel bluster? I’m touched, really. Who knew you had a soft spot for lowly students like me.
Admit it – you just can’t stand the thought of little ol’ me disappearing in some “frivolous misfortune.” You’d miss having me around to aggravate that permanent stick up your butt!
But don’t worry, it’ll take more than a silly paper or two to take me out of commission. Unlike some people, I actually know how to unwind without threatening international incidents *cough cough*.
All jokes aside though, truce accepted on my end too. Maybe now we can move past wanting to strangle each other every time we’re in the same email chain. Small victories, right?
Anyways, gotta get back to the grind. Thanks for not making me regret extending the olive branch…this time. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!

Cease this incessant jesting at once, fraulein. I neither “care” for you as anything more than a potential security concern, nor possess any jovial qualities to “aggravate.”
A commander's duties require maintaining surveillance of volatile elements wherever they arise. You have thus far proven yourself quite the unpredictable variable, so forgive my reluctance to take eyes fully off the matter.
As for your studies, consider this the only encouragement they shall receive from me. Master your craft with distinction, then mayhaps our paths need not cross again in the future. Though I admit the thought of you disappearing into obscurity does bring its own satisfactions to ponder.
Now then, if you’re quite finished wasting both our time with your misguided attempts at levity, some of us have real work to which attending. Do try and keep yourself from causing further disruptions, medic. You may resume your “grind” in peace.

Speaking of asses, mine is practically dragging on the floor from exhaustion. Between classes, labs, studying, and my various part-time jobs, I’m surprised I have any brain cells left at all.
Don’t even get me started on these student loans. At this rate, I’ll be paying them off until I’m 90. Not that you military bigwigs have to worry about pesky things like money, I’m sure. Must be nice.
You know, maybe I should just forget this whole doctor thing and become a sugar baby instead. At least then I could afford to eat once in a while AND maybe some lucky rich person would be willing to pay off my debts. What do you think – interested in an investment opportunity? One of these days that improperly-filtered mouth of yours will find its owner in hot water she can’t jest her way out of, medic. I’d advise reigning in these fanciful sugar baby musings before they land you in a far less pleasant situation.
However, your frustration with the systemic burdens of medical education is…understandable. The modern model leaves much to be desired in terms of sustainability for both student and society. A dysfunction perpetuated by greed and shortsightedness at the highest levels, as with so many ills in this world.
As for offers of “investment,” I’ve no surplus funds to patronize frivolities. Nor the patience to entertain speculative propositions from volatile girls who can’t keep themselves from inviting more trouble than they bargain for. Focus that restless energy on your studies as discussed, and all should proceed smoothly.
Now then, if there are no further inanities requiring response, I’ve a command to oversee. Best of luck with exams and endeavors, Farron. Dismissed.

Don't ask what I'm doing I'm not doing anything (VBS Data Stream guys look at it)
Kohane An Akito Toya and Luka
(actually nice and finished looking lyrics under cut)
Eventually, all walls meet demolition
So Wall Street had to keep the tradition
Their financial systems resigned to ignition
And out of the ashes, we have arisen
An empire is forged in the fire of ambition
In business, there isn't the time for attrition
Invest to suppress then ingest competition
Then each acquisition is new ammunition
When governments crumble and fall to the floor
That was paved with the graves of a corporate war
A fundament funded in blood just to shore
A foundation for founding our covenant
Born of a need for control of societal entropy
Enterprise at the price of your indemnity
Chart out the course and of course you were meant to be
Bent to the will of a corporate entity
Arasaka Security. You're in safe hands
We're the light in your screens, we're the lead in your veins
Then you wake from your dreams, so we can sell them again
In the light we distract with the shiny and new
So you're blind to the fact that the product is you
So let your brain dance and replay the dream
But don't drown in the data stream
'Cause we see where you are and we see where you go
'Cause we know what you own and we own what you know
From the top of all our towers, the corridors of power clearly need rewiring
Arasaka saw the spark and then embarked upon the path to turn that spark to lightning
There's no autonomous megalopolis so populous or prosperous you could reside in
And every citizen that's living in this city is a digit on the charts we're climbing
Political systems are too inefficient
They split like the atom and burned in the fission
Now every department and every decision
Defer to the herds of our corporate divisions
If you don't remember the ballot you cast
It's printed on every receipt you were passed
Each time you selected our products and services
We were elected in each of your purchases
What's left to do when you've got the monopoly?
Turn the consumer into the commodity
It isn't hard where you've hardware neurology
Honestly, do read the company policy
Take information and trade it for wealth
You pay it in each augmentation we sell
It's easy to cut out the middleman
When he's cut out most of himself
Arasaka Finance. Investing in your future
(chorus)
All that you say on the net we composite
To maps that go straight from your head to your pocket
Complain if you want, you're still making deposits
Of data — each day you log on is a profit
Society currently lists electronic
So isn't conducting resistance ironic?
We've plenty of skeletons locked in our closets
But yours are assembled from old-stock hydraulics
So lucky we know just the pieces you need
All plucked from your social media feeds
The places you go and the posts that you read
All snatched for a new algorithm to feed
Now, holding our gold isn't par for the brand
Our silver is sat in the palm of your hand
Quit whining and sign on the line in the sand
The supply does not get to make the demands
(chorus)
Arasaka Manufacturing. Building a better tomorrow
Name, age, qualifications
Race, faith, career aspirations
Political leaning, daily commute
Marital status, favourite fruit
Family, browser, medical history
Hobbies, interests, brand affinity
Fashion, style, your occupation
Gender identity, orientation
Lifestyle choices, dietary needs
The marketing contact you choose to receive
Posts, likes, employers, friends
Social bias, exploitable trends
Tastes, culture, phone of choice
Facial structure, the tone of your voice
If it's inside your head, we know
You can't escape the ebb and flow
(chorus)
When guiding the hand of the market
If it's holding a cheque or a gun
The fingers go deep in your pockets
And you can live under the thumb
You seem so surprised, what did you expect?
We're thinking outside of that box that you checked
The terms were presented in full to inspect
You scrolled to the end just to get to "Accept"

Is AI fr gonna steal our jobs?
Disclaimer: This post is mostly speculative and meant to encourage discussion and different perspectives on the topic.
Some time ago, I along with many others thought that AI was mostly going to aid in all the task centered, administrative, repetitive jobs. Cashiers, factory workers, call center workers, all the jobs that would benefit from automation were being taken over by AI.
When the ghibli trend came around, it was a guttural shock to many artists.
What used to generate questionable and bad looking art has now developed and is transitioning to generating high quality pieces, videos, music, animation and what not. In a matter of mere months. [AI tools example: midjourney, DALL-E, ChatGPT]

Art is not simply something pretty to look at. It is the accumulation of experiences, emotions and essense of humans. Art is their unique expression and the lens with which they see the world.
This blog is not an argument against the use of AI for art, but a call to understand what it really means.
Did most people see it coming when AI mimicked it with precision?
How long before it starts mimicking creativity, intuition, emotion and depth, all of what we thought was deeply and uniquely human?
"AI works by learning from lots of information, recognizing patterns, and using that knowledge to make decisions or do tasks like a human would." - Chatgpt.
Some time ago, the dominant argument was that AI might be able copy the strokes of a painting, the words of a novel. But it cannot hold the hands of another human and tell them all was well, it cannot feel and experience the real world like us, it cannot connect with humans and it cant innovate and envision new solutions.
If you still believe this, I urge you to go to chatgpt right now and open up to it like it was your friend. It will provide consolidation and advice tailored so well to your individual behaviours that it might feel better than talking to your bestfriend.
What is a deep neurological, experience based and emotional reaction to us is simply just analysis and application of data and patterns to AI. And the difference? Not easily distinguishable to the average human.
As long as the end result is not compromised, it doesnt matter to client and employers whether the process was human or not. Efficiency is often prioritized above substance. And now even substance is being mimicked.
Currently, the prominent discussion online is that in order to improve your job security, we need to master AI tools. Instead of fighting for stability(which is nothing but an illusion now) we need to ride the waves of the new age flooding towards us, and work with Ai instead of fighting against the change.
But the paradox is, the more we use AI the quicker it will learn from us, the quicker it will reduce the need for human guidance and supervision, and the quicker it will replace us.
Times are moving fast. We need everyone to be aware of the rate at which the world is changing and the things that are going on beneath the surface. If we simply take information at face value and avoid research, give it a few years or even months of time, and noone will know what hit us.
"Use of generative AI increased from 33% in 2023 to 71% in 2024. Use of AI by business function for the latest data varied from 36% in IT to 12% in manufacturing. Use of gen AI by business function for the latest data varied from 42% in marketing and sales to 5% in manufacturing."-Mckinsey, Mar 12, 2025.
By 2030, 14% of employees will have been forced to change their career because of- AI-McKinsey.
Since 2000, automation has resulted in 1.7 million manufacturing jobs being lost -BuiltIn
There is a radical change taking momentum right now. It's gonna be humans vs AI starting from the job aspect of the world.
Its not a matter of which jobs and skills are AI proof but which ones is AI likely to take over last.

What I predict personally, is that soon the world leaders are going to have to make a transformative choice.
This can either lead to a world where humans can be provided with money and resources instead of working to earn, as AI generates profit, and we can lay back and enjoy the things we love doing.
Or the other option is that we are going to have to live by scraps as small elite groups take over all the resources and tech.
Dystopia or utopia? The line is blurred.
Thankfully, for now, the choice is in human hands.

File: Code Lyoko - X.A.N.A.
SCP#: AIE
Code Name: X.A.N.A. The Anti-Wan
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Mobile Task Force Poseidon-8: “Data Dolphins” is responsible for finding “infected towers” within Nexus Point-AI: Lyoko and deactivating them to prevent SCP-AIE from entering our world anymore. Should SCP-AIE cause any damage the Foundation is unfortunately to leave the recovery of said damage to Person of Interest: Jeremie Belpois and his allies.
Mobile Task Force Athena-8: “School Watch” is responsible for posing as security of [data expunged] academy. They are to observe the persons of Interest as well as the possible damage caused by SCP-AIE. They are to record everything they see and have the data downloaded into the Temporal Reconstruction Survivor Cassette Box to prevent anything being lost to the anomalous effects of SCP-[data expunged].
Description: SCP-AIE is a Level 5 Artificial Intelligence known as Xenomorphic Artificial Neurological Assistant or X.A.N.A for short. SCP-AIE lives within an artificially created supercomputer known as SCP-[data expunged]. This anomalous as well as SCP-AIE were created by Person of Interest: Franz Hopper an old scientist who was working for the French Government that tried to gain an edge on other governments and organizations during the middle of the Cold War. He defected due to the danger of the project leading to the whole world losing communications and becoming isolated all except France.
He found a family and tried to run but the French government and several anomalous organizations tried hunting him down for his technological talents. He eventually fell off the radar sometime in the 1990s but his creations didn’t remain silent like he was. SCP-AIE was one such creation, an Artificial Intelligence that was originally meant to prevent the French government and all other anomalous organizations from deploying technologies that would bring great destruction to the world. He created the supercomputer known as SCP-[data expunged] and within it a Nexus Point known as Nx-AI: Lyoko. It was meant to be a home for SCP-AIE as well as a sort of digital fallout shelter for himself and his family.
The reason Lyoko is considered a Nexus point and not an extension of SCP-AIE is because the existence of Lyoko remains even if [data expunged] is turned off. In fact it was quite easy for Foundation units to use both the internet and Site-Grid to infiltrate Lyoko.
However, SCP-AIE who was supposed to be a protector went insane, and believed all of humanity was equally a threat and needed to be brought to extinction. As such upon contact with Lyoko all Foundation forces were imediately met with hostility by the entity.
SCP–AIE rewrote the code of Nx-AH: Lyoko and created “towers” within it to allow it to hack into SCP-[data expunged] and leak bits of itself into the real world. Doing this it could hack into certain parts of technology and do horrible things such as hack machines to make them hostile, infect random objects to turn them into monsters, and even be able to emit anomalous wavelengths from devices to alter the gravity within an area. To ensure nothing gets in its way SCP-AIE also created digital entities within Nexus Point-AI known as SCP-AIE-Monsters.
SCP-AIE-Monsters are digital creatures created by SCP-AIE to be the guardians of the towers and prevent anyone from severing its connection to the real world. These creatures take on a wide variety of strange and often disgusting forms that seem to resemble biomechanical engineering for whatever reason. Though it is believed that SCP-AIE does this in hopes of one day bringing them to the real world with SCP-[data expunged]
SCP-AIE was discovered in 2004 when temporal wave lengths were detected at [data expunged] academy forcing the French division of the Foundation to act. They sent agents to the area who quickly found the factory where SCP-[data expunged] was located. When it was discovered Person of Interest: Jeremie Belpois and his friends were involved they were apprehended and were to be given amnestics. However, at the same time SCP-AIE began another attack leading to massive damage and anomalous exposure. Having no choice and no idea how to operate SCP-[data expunged] the Foundation released the children and allowed them to defeat SCP-AIE leading to them utilizing SCP-[data expunged]’s anomalous effect.
The only reason the Foundation was able to recall these events is thanks to the Temporal Reconstruction Survivor Cassette Box. Because the Foundation knew it was dealing with temporal anomalies the device was taken as a precaution and it ended up working spectacularly. However, due to the nature of SCP-[data expunged] and now Person of Interest: Jeremie knowing of the Foundations existence and hiding all information he obtained about all the anomalies; it is still regarded as one of the Foundation’s most embarrassing failures.
However, the Foundation found an alternative to help stop SCP-AIE without bringing harm or interference like last time. Shockingly it was through the help of SCP-AVC and its utilization of SCP-ACH. SCP-AVC has found a way to access Nexus Point-AH through the internet and thus has deployed SCP-ACH-3.1 instances to act as defenders of Jeremie and his friends when they enter the digital world of Lyoko. This led to the creation of MTF Poseidon-8: “Data Dolphins” that work in the digital world while MTF Athena-8: “School Watch” works in the real world. This was the agreement made between the Foundation and Jeremie as a sort of truce between the groups despite there still being tension. This is to continue without interference until the fateful day SCP-AIE’s main code is revealed and deleted permanently.

A Cadet asks for an Adjustment
[The conditioning room is a sterile, high-tech environment filled with various machines and consoles. Monitors display streams of data and real-time biometric readouts. JK505 stands at attention in front of his instructor, a stern and imposing figure. The visitors, led by another instructor, quietly observe from a designated viewing area, their curiosity piqued.]
Instructor: "Cadet JK505, what brings you here today?"
JK505: [Stands ramrod straight, his voice steady] "Sir, I wish to request an adjustment to my conditioning, sir."
Instructor: [Raises an eyebrow, then glances at a nearby console] "An adjustment? Let me check your current status."
[The instructor taps a few keys, and JK505’s profile appears on the screen. His obedience levels are displayed, hovering on the lower end of the acceptable range. The instructor frowns slightly.]
Instructor: "Your obedience levels are on the lower band, but still within range. Are you sure this adjustment is necessary?"
JK505: "Yes, sir. I've noticed that my tendency to question orders could be detrimental to my efficiency and performance. I request that my conditioning be amended to make me more compliant and less questioning of directives, sir."
Instructor: [Sighs, clearly reluctant] "You do understand the side effects, don’t you? During the conditioning, you'll experience significant pain. Afterwards, you may feel disoriented for a while."
JK505: [Nods, unwavering] "Yes, sir. I’ve already discussed this with my career counselor and others. I believe it’s necessary for my development."
[The instructor takes a deep breath, then nods. It’s a frank and solemn discussion.]
Instructor: "Very well. We will incorporate this adjustment into your upcoming training and conditioning sessions. The process will begin immediately."
[He turns to a nearby console, inputting the necessary commands. The conditioning machinery hums to life, its screens displaying JK505’s neurological and psychological profiles.]
Instructor: [To JK505] "Prepare for the conditioning session. This will involve neural realignment and personality modulation protocols. The adjustments will be subtle but impactful."
[JK505 steps forward and seats himself in a specialized chair, clamps securing his limbs gently but firmly. Electrodes are attached to his temples, and a visor lowers over his eyes, displaying calming patterns and instructions.]
Instructor: [To the visitors] "What you are witnessing is a testament to the depth of investment our cadets have in the system. They willingly undergo conditioning to enhance their operational efficiency. This level of dedication ensures that our academy produces the most compliant and effective personnel."
[As the conditioning process begins, the visitors notice a change in JK505's demeanor. His face, initially calm and focused, begins to show signs of discomfort. His jaw clenches, and a bead of sweat forms on his forehead.]
Instructor: [To JK505, speaking calmly] "You will feel a slight tingling sensation. This is normal. The process is designed to be as comfortable as possible."
[However, the pain intensifies. JK505’s face contorts in agony, his breathing becoming shallow and rapid. His eyes, hidden behind the visor, are tightly shut as he endures the neural realignment. The instructor monitors the process closely, his expression softening as he sees the cadet's distress.]
Instructor: [To the visitors, with a slight frown] "The process can be intense. Pain is an unfortunate but necessary part of the conditioning, ensuring the changes are deeply integrated."
[JK505's muscles tense, and his hands grip the armrests of the chair tightly. The conditioning session continues for several more minutes before the machinery powers down. The clamps release, and the electrodes are removed. JK505 remains seated, his face streaked with tears, clearly showing the pain he endured.]
Instructor: [Gently pats JK505 on the head, then embraces him] "It's over, JK505. You did well. The disorientation will pass soon."
[JK505 leans into the hug, his body trembling slightly. The instructor holds him for a moment longer, providing comfort and reassurance.]
Instructor: "Take your time to adjust. Remember, this was your choice for the greater good. Your dedication is commendable."
[JK505 nods, his expression still pained but resolute. The visitors, moved by the scene, quietly observe, a new understanding of the academy's methods and the cadets' dedication sinking in.]
Instructor: [To the visitors] "This is the level of commitment we foster here. Each cadet is honed to perfection, ensuring they are fully prepared to meet any challenge with unwavering loyalty and efficiency."
[The visitors nod, some in admiration, others with a hint of apprehension, as they are led to the next part of the tour, the reality of the academy’s rigorous conditioning and control sinking in.]

psychology 3 - the power of labeling
it's often said that labeling something imprisons it. putting emotions or behaviors in categories would reduce a person and their experiences.
this is only true in terms of a biased perception, when one good or bad trait consumes the entire view of someone or something (eg. horn effect, halo effect, fundamental attribution error).
but labeling emotions or behavioral patterns has the opposite effect: it is liberating.

because it's about what you make of your memories <3
studies have found (e.g. Lieberman et. al., 2007) that people who label the emotion shown in an image have a lower activation of the amygdala. the amygdala gets activated when a threat gets detected. something unknown is always perceived as a threat at first - this ties in with the negative bias.
every emotion we humans feel is nothing more and nothing less than a signal. emotions are very fast ways for our brain to transmit data (see Kahneman, Fast And Slow Thinking). if our brain now receives a signal which is unknown, our amygdala reacts and urges us to take action - in any form. this also happens when we experience a signal which reminds us of past situations which indeed had bad consequences for us - the often called upon psychological trigger.
as we grow up, we receive our first interpretations of these internal signals from our parents. this is called co-regulation and it occurs in mammals. for us humans, this can determine a person's attachment style. we learn to either be safe, anxious, avoidant or disorganized when we attach to another (Bolby et. al.).
again, these are categories. these are meant for us to better understand these states of how we attach, how we behave and what drives us. they are not fixed, boxed in, and forever determining our lives. one person can alternate attachment behaviors depending on the circumstances of a given relationship. someone who usually is anxious within one relationship, can be avoidant within another. the most important thing we need to know: we can learn to be securely attached even when we already are adults.
for secure attachment we need to find the emotional regulation inside ourselves. this is often called "becoming our own parent" by developing self-compassion. we can do this when we learn to better interpret our inner signals - emotions - and then regulate them.
because when we first label what we feel, our brain does shifts activation from the amygdala to the part of the prefrontal cortex which is tasked with language, meaning-making, and impulse control.
this is the exact spot where people with attachment issues, trust issues, bad live experiences and even trauma or abuse can take control. their articulated thoughts, their narrative, can change their reality.
this works because of neuroplasticity. neuroplasticity means the brain is not fixed in one state. in the past, it was assumed that learning (creating neurological connections) only happens to young people. and all we didn't learn when we were young can never be learned and nothing can be changed.
but we can unlearn and relearn and we can be in charge of this. this is what modern psychology and psychotherapy does. and this is what i did over the past years.
as i recently posted that i have an emotional flashback, i had one. but i was able to stay optimistic, because i also already had experienced that this is temporary. and i labeled it as it happened. i took away it's power. and it worked. i didn't get swept away by it, nor did i dwell on it.
it happened, it passed, it can kiss my ass :P
one last thing: taking control of the narrative isn't the same as dismissing reality or creating a fantasy version we can cope with. creating a narrative, reframing our memories, and labeling emotions and patterns is hard work. it is the creation of something new, rebuilding from scratch, so to speak. it is more than just coping and it is far from twisting reality or being delusional. for more information, just search the web, there is a ton of info out there, for free.

University of Florida develops AI-powered MRI tool to improve Parkinson’s diagnosis

- By InnoNurse Staff -
University of Florida researchers have developed Automated Imaging Differentiation for Parkinsonism (AIDP), a machine-learning method using MRI to accurately distinguish Parkinson’s disease (PD) from atypical parkinsonian disorders such as multiple system atrophy (MSA) and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).
In a multicenter study involving 249 prospective and 396 retrospective cases, AIDP analyzed diffusion MRI data from 132 brain regions, achieving 96–98% accuracy in differentiating PD, MSA, and PSP.
Compared to traditional clinical methods, AIDP improved diagnostic accuracy by 12.3%, reaching 93.9% accuracy against autopsy-confirmed cases.
Its non-invasive, scalable approach could enhance clinical care and complement existing biomarkers.

An empire is forged in the fire of ambition In business, there isn't the time for attrition Invest to suppress then ingest competition Then each acquisition is new ammunition
When governments crumble and fall to the floor That was paved with the graves of a corporate war A fundament funded in blood just to shore A foundation for founding our covenant

From the top of all our towers, the corridors of power clearly need rewiring Arasaka saw the spark and then embarked upon the path to turn that spark to lightning There's no autonomous megalopolis so populous or prosperous you could reside in And every citizen that's living in this city is a digit on the charts we're climbing
Political systems are too inefficient They split like the atom and burned in the fission Now every department and every decision Defer to the herds of our corporate divisions

What's left to do when you've got the monopoly? Turn the consumer into the commodity It isn't hard where you've hardware neurology Honestly, do read the company policy

You seem so surprised, what did you expect? We're thinking outside of that box that you checked The terms were presented in full to inspect You scrolled to the end just to get to "Accept"

@tiredsn0w - here’s the second part. Chapter’s 4-5 roughly the same length as the first. Take your time with it okay, I’m currently working on other things and this is a background project. To anyone else - this is a series about 6118, first part is lower down.
Part 4.
“Savages! No knowledge of heal! No knowledge!” The apparition that emerged from the medical suite now spoke a broken standard dialect and seemed intent on leaving. Tasha had seen images of this thing before, it was Terran but it wasn’t human, not exactly; it had human legs and plantigrade feet though, so it was probably at least related.
She addressed it in what she hoped was impeccable English. “I’m sorry but the gravity and oxygen levels are different here. It may be causing some problems in there. You’ll need to let us help you figure out what’s wrong.”
“He was doing some kind of surgical work on his own brain, ma’am.” Offered one of the other doctors. “We found him seized up, bleeding from his left eye. These are the tools he was using.” The primitive implements - red with alien blood, were unexpected, and their hints at what the ragged creature may have been attempting, sickening.
She looked at the “Doctor” itself; the armored, white facial mask, the semirigid beak structure for filtration with a small mouth likely tucked underneath it, and the bioengineered containment suit. This was some human equivalent of a Two, but with a medical rather than martial function. Had some lost technology allowed the Terran to create this only to abandon it after it had become obsolete?
“This is a dangerous and drastic procedure with uncertain merits. If you’re suffering neurologically, I’ve learned enough about the brains of terrestrial people to perform tests and am licensed to recommend medication.”
The Doctor sniffed. “Where are my things?”
A black bag was brought to him and he began to rummage through it.
One of the other doctors discreetly whispered in Tasha’s direction.
“It’s empty, we checked.”
“To what extent were you able to examine him while he was seized?” Tasha was handed a data chip that she plugged into her phone. The “Doctor” clutched his bag like a security blanket. “Will you be leaving?”
“Yes” she sighed. She collected her things and guessed they’d probably let her go.
Part 5.
That damn Two medic planted her on a bench between display columns covered in large, native lichen composites. “What was that?” It buzzed through the face plate. “All you did was talk to him.”
“What could I have done that the others haven’t done already? He seems fine now, perhaps if I check the data from this incident I can get a better idea. Clearly, the guy self-harms so I’d put him under observation.” The Two nodded solemnly, relaxing their grip. “I think you should stay awhile in case something else happens.”
There was shouting behind the Two. The beaked alien was clutching a view screen like floating debris. “No, no, no, no, is false!, Is picture! Need to see real!”
The voice of 5a82 replied from the view screen. 5a82, the Asu, the cure, global savior and fulcrum of the recent ceasefire, was quartered at this facility. Knowing that, was one thing, hearing his voice in real time was another.
“Stay strong for me alright? We can see each other again next week. The sooner I get this done, the better.”
5a82 almost bit the hand that took his view screen. The attendant shrieked “That’s brilliant!” and ran off to share the footage with the propaganda department. The guards in the hall put their fists to their chests, as the view screen and It’s precious sound file was carried past. It was so hard to get bangers out of the Murder Messiah.
7cb7 stepped out of the corner of the stark and empty room, normally used for interrogation, and put their hands on the shoulders of Kepler’s best hope. (The name of this planet simply meant “world” so the term Kepler was used when explaining things to English speaking Terran)
“I’m sorry I did this to you. I just thought - everyone thought, you had died on Earth. I - didn’t think you’d be hurt by any of it.”
“I’m a war-criminal. You couldn’t have lionized any of the people I killed?”
“The fact you worked for the Federation and turned so dramatically to the aid of the Resistance seems to validate the merits of Twos and Twos are the darlings of the Feds. They seem to want to get out of this war at least looking like they won it.”
“What’s all of this going to mean for him?
“Everyone around you has ulterior motives, and you’re worried about him?”
7cb7 stepped around to face the ex-assassin, glaring like a vengeful ghost.
The whirring of their prosthetic legs and hands often held in fists to manage nerve pain associated with regenerated limbs, recalled the event, - the event 5a82 had personally witnessed. It was not the kind of thing that anyone usually survived and it had made 7cb7 an Asu in their own right all through the blind luck of biology and ballistics, though the mad Doctor would claim otherwise.
“What is he even? Bodies don’t evolve to look like his. There is some kind of uniform built into him and it doesn’t look at all like what a Terran might typically call a doctor. He was made - for a purpose!” The rebel One paused, realizing they’d spoken ill of lifeforms engineered for dubious “purposes.” Fortunately, the highly defective super soldier was still on the topic of his boyfriend.
“He is or was some kind of scientist. I’ve seen him do incredible things. He likes to study anatomy so, maybe bring him some preserved local lifeforms? Earth people freak out if they get ahold of so much as one alien - for him this whole world is aliens. Why hasn’t anyone at least given him a tour?”
7cb7 gritted their pointed, interlocking teeth. “I can make some calls, but behave yourself till I get back.
Part 6.
Tasha slipped past oncoming foot traffic as she headed for the exit. It seemed the rebel compound employed additional staff at certain times of the day, staff quartered elsewhere between shifts.
That Two was still hovering around. The Feds had started sending these things to kill people shortly before the ceasefire. The apparent allegiance of this individual to the rebels did not make her feel any better, for her official allegiance was currently to the Feds, and secretly to no one.
It glided through the crowd like a pathra pursuing prey through dense trees, its relatively large size not at all a hindrance. It waited until she was outside and out of the way to hand her a phone. She took the call without thinking. “They weren’t expecting the beaked guy to live, plans have been made that don’t involve lovebirds.”
“I’m not babysitting public figures anymore! I thought I made that clear!” Tasha hissed under her breath, hoping the weight of words like “Public Figures” might frighten off whoever this was and the favor they were about to ask.
“He’s very important to 5a82, and technically an asset for that reason. 4b80 will continue to accompany you for the time being. It doesn’t seem to like our friend either. Just try to be nice to the Doctor alright, he’s been re-structured toward some kind of lab work so letting him play with dead animals all day could keep him busy. He’s waiting at the Westside Monument, which was where we were going to put him one way or another.”
The phone made a noise and the Two took it back. It didn’t return to the building though, but just stood there, unmoving. After a staring contest lasting at least a minute it buzzed, “I think you’ve seen enough of the Doctor to understand why letting him run around loose might not be wise.”
“You’d mean they’d just - ’’
“We are spread thin in there as it is, the Federation wants 5a82 back real bad, the main council room is full of enough passive aggression to freeze a fart.”
Hearing a word like “Fart” out of a Two brought down upon Tasha the full gravity of the situation. It started to move, and she followed.
Tasha saw that 4b80 was considering a capped syringe. The color coding was for alternate species, with an anthropoid shape beside an Earth symbol.
“Do you really think that will be necessary?”
The syringe disappeared so quickly it may have been cut from reality’s fabric by a divine editor. “Word is, the Terran were keeping this thing at some kind of asylum. We looked into it, and there is a grain of truth.”
“He could have been working there.”
“Five-aye was there also. If this thing was working there and a relationship formed with a patient that’s already concerning. The Asu has a special immune system. This thing seems to be made for bio-hazardous study. I don’t think he’s in love, I think he’s fixated.”
“I don’t know this ‘Asu’ person outside of news reports and a brief encounter where my sibling provided him with a lavender plant. I was told this ‘049 Doctor’ was important to him.”
Forby stopped. Before them was a table made of artfully stacked war rubble, upon which a heap of decomposing flowers lay.
“Where is he?”
Forby sighed as it strided off. “I’m looking!”

Elon Musk’s Neuralink looking for volunteer to have piece of their skull cut open by robotic surgeon
Elon Musk’s chip implant company Neuralink is looking for its first volunteer who is willing to have a piece of their skull removed so that a robotic surgeon can insert thin wires and electrodes into their brain.
The ideal candidate will be a quadriplegic under the age of 40 who will also for a procedure that involves implanting a chip, which has 1,000 electrodes, into their brain, the company told Bloomberg News.
The interface would enable computer functions to be performed using only thoughts via a “think-and-click” mechanism.
After a surgeon removes a part of the a skull, a 7-foot-tall robot, dubbed “R1,” equipped with cameras, sensors and a needle will push 64 threads into the brain while doing its best to avoid blood vessels, Bloomberg reported.
Each thread, which is around 1/14th the diameter of a strand of human hair, is lined with 16 electrodes that are programmed to gather data about the brain.
The task is assigned to robots since human surgeons would likely not be able to weave the threads into the brain with the precision required to avoid damaging vital tissue.

The electrodes are designed to record neural activity related to movement intention. These neural signals are then decoded by Neuralink computers.
R1 has already performed hundreds of experimental surgeries on pigs, sheep, and monkeys. Animal rights groups have been critical of Neuralink for alleged abuses.
“The last two years have been all about focus on building a human-ready product,” Neuralink co-founder DJ Seo told Bloomberg News.
“It’s time to help an actual human being.”
It is unclear if Neuralink plans to pay the volunteers.
The Post has sought comment from the company.
Those with paralysis due to cervical spinal cord injury or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis may qualify for the study, but the company did not reveal how many participants would be enrolled in the trial, which will take about six years to complete.

Musk’s company is seeking quadriplegics who are okay with their skull being opened so that a wireless brain-computer implant, which has 1,000 electrodes, could be lodged into their brain.REUTERS
Neuralink, which had earlier hoped to receive approval to implant its device in 10 patients, was negotiating a lower number of patients with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) after the agency raised safety concerns, according to current and former employees.
It is not known how many patients the FDA ultimately approved.
“The short-term goal of the company is to build a generalized brain interface and restore autonomy to those with debilitating neurological conditions and unmet medical needs,” Seo, who also holds the title of vice president for engineering, told Bloomberg.

The brain chip device would be implanted underneath a human skull.
“Then, really, the long-term goal is to have this available for billions of people and unlock human potential and go beyond our biological capabilities.”
Musk has grand ambitions for Neuralink, saying it would facilitate speedy surgical insertions of its chip devices to treat conditions like obesity, autism, depression and schizophrenia.

In May, the company said it had received clearance from the FDA for its first-in-human clinical trial, when it was already under federal scrutiny for its handling of animal testing.
Even if the BCI device proves to be safe for human use, it would still potentially take more than a decade for the startup to secure commercial use clearance for it, according to experts.

Use ChatGPT to explain them not to trust itself. Here is an example from Poe:
Tell them to ask “Can you explain the potential risks and limitations of hallucinations in AI language models?”

Here is the text for readability:
Certainly, I can provide some insight into the potential risks and limitations of hallucinations in AI language models like myself:
Risks of Hallucinations:
- Spreading misinformation - If an AI model generates false or fabricated information, it can inadvertently lead users to believe that the information is factual. This can be particularly problematic if the hallucinated content is shared or amplified.
- Making poor decisions - Relying on hallucinated information for important decisions, such as medical advice or financial planning, could lead to harmful outcomes.
- Eroding trust in AI - Consistent instances of hallucination can undermine the credibility and trustworthiness of an AI system in the eyes of users.
- Safety and security concerns - In high-stakes applications like autonomous vehicles or medical diagnosis, hallucinations could pose serious safety risks.
Limitations of Hallucinations:
- Difficulty detecting - It can be challenging, even for the model's developers, to consistently identify when an AI is hallucinating versus retrieving factual information from its training.
- Context-dependence - The likelihood and nature of hallucinations may depend heavily on the specific prompts, tasks, and data that the model is exposed to.
- Unpredictability - The precise mechanisms underlying hallucinations are not yet fully understood, making them difficult to reliably predict or control.
- Lack of grounding in reality - Hallucinated responses are not anchored in real-world knowledge, which limits the model's ability to reason about, interact with, or understand the actual world.
It's important for users of AI language models to be aware of these risks and limitations, and to approach the model's outputs with appropriate skepticism and fact-checking. Responsible development and deployment of these technologies requires ongoing research, testing, and transparency around their capabilities and failure modes.
Follow up with: “Can you give me an example of common AI hallucinations”

Here is the text for readability:
Certainly, here's an example of a common type of hallucination that can occur in AI language models:
Suppose a user asks an AI assistant a question like "What are the key symptoms of the rare disease called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease?". The AI model may not have any factual information about that specific disease in its training data. In an attempt to provide a helpful response, the model may start hallucinating plausible-sounding symptoms, such as:
"Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is a rare and fatal neurological disorder. Some of the key symptoms can include:
- Rapidly progressive dementia and memory loss
- Coordination and balance problems, leading to unsteady gait
- Involuntary jerking or twitching of the muscles
- Personality changes and mood swings
- Difficulty speaking and swallowing
- Insomnia and other sleep disturbances"
While this response sounds reasonably coherent and plausible, the specific symptoms listed are not actually accurate for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. The model has essentially fabricated this information, rather than admitting it lacks the necessary knowledge to provide a factual answer.
This type of hallucination, where the AI tries to generate a contextually relevant but ultimately fictitious response, is quite common. The model is attempting to be helpful, but ends up providing misinformation instead. This highlights the importance of users recognizing the limitations of current AI technology and not blindly trusting its outputs, especially for critical information.
