You mentioned Vaggie trying to dress up Alastor in feminine style a couple of times, would you like to show us an example of such occurence?

(in other words, can we see Alastor in a dress, Vaggie can't be the only one who gets to see him like that)

The sort of outfits and ways she'll get him in said outfits will vary. Vaggie for the most part does genuinely try to find and put him in feminine clothes of his time (so she more than likely has gone to cannibal town for dresses). But she's definitely not opposed to putting him in more, shall we say... skimpy attire. Or things that perhaps don't fit quite right on him.

Other residents have 100% seen him outside his normal attire because of Vaggie. And have perhaps gotten a bit more of a show than Alastor would ever intend for anyone to see (though that's never Vaggie's intention).

🎀 Hobbies 🎀

I feel as tho I don't have much time to do things besides school, work, some chores, and survive right now, but I've been thinking about some hobbies I enjoy and would like to incorporate into my life when I decide to make the time without burning out!

Reading - I used to be big on reading just about any books I could get my hands on. Then I was really focused on reading self help, and now that I haven't been reading at all, I've been thinking about getting back into reading. Always looking for book recommendations, and I do have my eye on some books I'd like to purchase.

Gardening - if I had the time and space, I'd love to have a flower garden or a vegetable garden. It always makes me happy when the fruits of my efforts come to life, so tending to plants and gardening sounds super fun and relaxing.

Video Games - I used to play video games on and off, but I wouldn't mind owning a PS4 or a Switch and spending some time playing video games whenever I'd want time to wind down.

Cooking/Baking - I love learning things, and the sense of pride I've gotten in the past when receiving praise for things I've cooked or baked has really driven me to want to increase my skill. I've only baked something from scratch once in my life, but I'd really like to expand my skills in making desserts.

Exercise - I'm talking all forms of it! Dancing, martial arts/kickboxing type activities, yoga, pilates, running, swimming, spin/cycling, weight lifting (again), calisthenics, all of it! I don't currently look like the exercise type but I find various forms of movement to be so fun! If I had more time, I'd be trying new things all the time!

Volunteer work - This is something I used to do all the time, and it's a hobby that I enjoyed that kept me humble. Not only that, but I thoroughly enjoy showing kindness and compassion to others. Making a difference in anuwau brings me so much joy, and I love meeting new people and learning their stories. I also would love to volunteer with animals, because they deserve so much love and affection too!

Drawing/Art - I used to draw for fun but when I started college, I didn't have the time to devote to continuously increasing my art skills. I still own a sketch kit, coloring materials, and several sketchbooks so it really is a matter of having time.

Crochet - The thought of making things that I can gift to others seriously makes me so excited!! Crochet seems like such a fun, crafty, relaxing activity and the added fun of gifting those crafts to others would make it so fun!!

Scrapbooking - I don't know if I'd ever do this one, but I do Ike the idea of keeping my memories in a physical space, and not just in like pictures on my phone.

Learning - if school wasn't crazy busy, I'd spend all my time learning languages (ASL, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Italian, etc), computer coding skills, how to make and do certain things, just anything I can do to keep my mind enriched.

Upcycling/Altering Clothes - I would love to upcycle or alter articles of clothes into more personalized pieces for myself. The thought of having a personalized, hand made closet full of clothes makes me really want to buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it to my advantage!

That's all I can think of for now that I'd like to someday incorporate into my life. Having hobbies is always so fun, but I've been so busy and tired that I don't mess with any of the hobbies I'd want to do. If anyone has any tips for time management, or resources for beginning new hobbies, please let me know!!

Daniel can't also help but to stare at your focused yet cute face when you try to draw on your sketchbook/paper (he'll stop if you find it creepy but he can't help it sometimes). He's really astonished by how you illustrate something with passion and take it to the next level even if it's just a doodle. Danny also finds it really smart and creative if you put meaning behind your drawings, whether it's sad or happy! He really likes to see the way you view things in life and express your thoughts on a piece of paper/canvas and he also can't help but to shower you with lots of compliments "Y/N It looks so cool! Keep up the good work!"

Daniel will also appreciate it if you use him as your reference! His heart will melt if you initiate to sketch him especially his original body. He felt so loved and cared about when you, his special someone sees the beauty in him no matter what shape, form or size he's in. He'll look at you like 🥺👉👈"Wa-Wait really? Are you sure?" HAHAHHAHAHAHA XD. Don't mind him but when he'll have an angst episode especially when his insecurities are getting in the way again, your comfort plus your artwork of him can really lift up his spirits. "You really find me cute in my other body?" he'll ask you in his taller form as you cup his cheeks and give him a peck as a sign of affection not wanting him to feel sadness and self-loathing himself. "Yep, that's why I always ask you to be my super model for my drawings! You're more than just your looks, so chin up Danny!" he can't help but smile thinking about it especially when he's feeling sad again, him feeling loved by you especially when it's not just his looks that you really adore and love about him (he feels the same for you). It really boosts his confidence more and in return, he'll not only compliment your works but also everything about you that's just so amazing to him.

If you're the shy type who won't show off your artworks to him, he'll definitely respect your privacy and space though he can't help but to be curious sometimes. And if you're the messy and inorganized type, expect him to just randomly check out your sketchbook especially when you both clean your shared apartment (don't scold him though he just picked it up on either the floor or the dining table which where it shouldn't be lmao). "So-Sorry Y/N I didn't know what I was doing sorry!" Though he will feel relieved when you just simply brushed it off saying it's fine but he won't stop apologizing when he can feel that you're upset about it. But this rarely happens since he will think about his actions first before doing it and he'll feel so much relieved when you started showing him his drawings and him seeing you breaking into your comfort zone.

Overall Danny's supportive about your hobby as long as you don't illustrate something too weird. He wouldn't mind if you teach him the basics or if you also you use one of his friends as your model/reference (especially Duke or his mom). He just loves you so much as much as you love him too (I need a Danny in my life right now).

Zack Lee (Lee Jin Sung)

This man will talk about you to literally everybody 24/7 (in good and really romantic way of course).

Zack's so amazed by everything you do even if it's the simplest things, so what more if you make a masterpiece everybody should be proud of ;)?

He'll also ask if he can take a look of your sketches and he'll be SUPERRR HAPPY when you showed him your sketchbooks and random doodles. Zack's so fascinated by how you illustrate things in your art style, making him showering you with lots of compliments. "You're so good at this! You really are a perfect person!". Trust me when I say that just like Daniel if you asked him to draw him as a reference, his heart will not only beat a hundred times faster but he's also going to explode from your request. His someone asking him to sketch him? His day couldn't get so much better. Just like Danny, Zack will also look at you with that puppy eyes when you ask him to draw him "Really?🥺👉👈" AHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA xD. He will also tease you about it. Him posing with funny poses while you force yourself to not laugh (he's also doing it to make you smile trust me). "Y/N you think I'm attractive?" If you're the shy type, he'll be okay if you don't want to show your drawings to him. But he'll be definitely be sad and crying inside since he feel like you don't trust him enough lmao (though he'll still respect your wishes). And he will also sneak up to see your works when it's just chilling on your desk or table, but he'll be so sorry and crying when you caught him touching your things without your permission. "SORRY Y/N I WON'T DO IT AGAINNNN!!! PLEASE FORGIVE MEEEE!!!. However, he'll be also relieved when you're okay with him checking out your sketchbook, though next time he'll ask for your permission though! (Always asking you with those puppy eyes. Vasco (Lee Eun Tae)

Vasco really loves your drawings so much! He's always curious on how you managed to sketch pretty illustrations especially cute animals like kittens and puppies! He has that same puppy expression while his eyes sparkle as he views your artworks in awe. He's so confused when he tries to draw the same as you but it always end up looking a bit weird lmao (But we still love him).

He'll talk about you to Burn Knuckles especially Jace. Their reactions will be so priceless. No one had made Vasco smile and made his day better other than them! "VASCO, YOU TALKED TO A GIRL/BOY???!" "YEAH! SHE'S/HE'S SO PRETTY/HANDSOME, KIND AND SHE'S/HE'S A DRAWER!" "You mean artist right?" Jace asked as Vasco nodded with a cute smile. "Yeah! her/his drawings are so amazing!" As you became friends, Vasco will ask for you to draw him a puppy if you don't mind! And he'll be sooo happy if you did so especially on his birthday (he cherishes the others gifts that the others had given him but he just really loves your art so much!). "JACE! Y/N DREW A PUPPY FOR ME IT'S SO CUTE SHE/HE EVEN PUT IT INSIDE A PICTURE FRAME!"

If you're the shy type, he'll wonder why you're a bit hesitant of showing your works to him, though he will respect it and not force you to but he still can't help but to be curious about what it looks like. But after getting to know each other and getting closer, he will ask again if he can take a look of your sketches and if you agreed so, he'll appreciate you for trusting him and he'll give you lots of compliments so that you can show him your other drawings and he'll have that huge and cute eyes 🥺👉👈 while his mouth his gaped open in shock about how your drawings are so pretty. "Y/N you did all of this? It looks SOOO PRETTY!". And if you're the messy type or you constantly misplace your things, he'll always find your sketchbook where you left it and he'll shout at you with that childish yet deep voice as it echoes in the school hallways holding it up while waving his hand to catch your attention. "Y/NNNNN! I FOUND YOUR SKETCHBOOK IT'S ON THE CAFETERIA TABLE!!!" If he's a dog right now, his tail will waggle if you pat his head and thanked him for helping it find it. "Thanks Euntae, I appreciate your help". Your kindness along with your warm smiles, talent, and hard work never fails to amaze him and fall in love for you more!

And if you and Vasco became official after some time, expect the Burn Knuckles to cry while cheering for the both of you. You'll also find it entertaining to teach the them how to draw silly stuff that they like (It can be a pain in the ass but if that's what makes Vasco happy and you to get each other know better you're probably going to do it lmao, protect Vasco at all cost).

Jay Hong (Hong Jae Yol)

This man would be so protective and proud of you.

Jay finds it really interesting when you illustrate something beautiful while being effortless. If you're seatmates with him, he would slightly look at you sketching random things while the teacher discusses another boring lesson. Him multi-tasking with him just listening to the teacher's ramble while his eyes are focused on you drawing on your scratch paper instead of taking notes. Both of you may get into trouble for not listening but since Jay's a top student he can help you catch up with the topics (Istg I saw him on the anime and webtoon not taking notes down while there's a lesson yet he's manages to be in the top how does he do that?)

Headcannon: You and Jay would communicate with cute and silly drawings. For example you and Jay would exchange notes with you asking him how he's feeling or if he's been doing well with a cute cat doodle with a confused/concerned expression plastered on its face with a question mark. And he would respond back with a much simpler drawing of a dog smiling (considering how much he's scared of dogs, well he used to be), a sign/message that he's okay as the conversation will go on :) He also respects it if you're a bit shy of showing your drawings to him not wanting you to feel uncomfortable but he would also appreciates it when you initiate to show it to him. If you're the messy type he'll also check your sketchbook before giving it back to you. Though he will often ask permission if he can check your artworks out.

He also really likes your artstyle! No matter what style or genre of drawing you have you'll never fail to amaze him. He would also appreciate it when you draw him! I promise you he will put all of your illustrations that you gave him on expensive frames and he'll take care and preserve it like it's a delicate piece of masterpiece that needs to be put and hang on a museum (I love him so much).

Overall, Jay and you will have a special bond especially with anything related to art. Jay's perspective on it is so unique. Since he's having a really hard time in expressing his emotions and thoughts through words, he finds it as an escape and comfort on his problems (for an example is him with good fashion style). So having a partner who's an artist can be relatable for him, you and him will be a good power couple! (he also loves your good attitude and values so please be nice to him :).

oooh you said Superpower Story has 30k words? wanna tell us a bit about that?

Ok I know my tags were kind of a leading remark soooo yes absolutely :D

Honestly the premise is just your run-of-the-mill superhero high school setting. A bunch of teens taking classes, learning how to control their powers, working toward becoming government agents or something (that part isn't super fleshed out yet, don't worry about it).

Where the fun comes in is the powers. I tried to make them unique, which is a really tough task given how saturated this genre is so idk if I succeeded, but I'm happy with them. In this universe, powers tend to have sizeable drawbacks, or a catch or trick to them that makes them inconvenient or even debilitating. Sometimes the drawbacks outweigh the power itself, especially if the power isn't that strong, so those kids have to work with specialized teachers to train up the power and minimize the drawback as best they can.

Enter our main cast! From left to right: Slips, Snappy, Chroma, and Lucky.

At this school, everyone gets a nickname. This is so I can avoid giving the characters actual names. The drawings were done by @insomnimelodies who brought all these characters to life so beautifully when I didn't know the first thing about what any of them looked like cause I literally never describe appearances in the story and now I have sketches and I love these goobers so much and I love my talented friends!!!!!!! Ahem. Anyways.

Lucky can control their luck. They can't control the outcome – the luck does what's best for them, not what they want. They also aren't that much luckier than the average person. They can only control when they spend their luck and how much. This allows them to be very successful at small things such as exams or board/video games or instruments without much effort. However, used this way, the power is almost laughably weak compared to their peers. If they want to do anything noteworthy, they have to save up their luck for weeks at a time... which makes them really unlucky in the meantime.

Snappy can enter a person's head at the snap of a finger. Once he's there, he sees an immersive, deeply convoluted mindscape that he can manipulate as he pleases. Time also doesn't pass while he does this – viewed from the outside, the result is instant. In theory, he can completely change a person's knowledge, beliefs, personality, or sense of self in an instant. However, he can only do this once per person. As a result, there is zero room for error. The mindscape is also difficult to interpret, and it takes a lot of data (aka going into many different minds) to figure out patterns and learn to interpret things properly. Going into a person's head unprepared and changing things without knowing what he's doing can have disastrous consequences... Tragic backstory ensues. :(

Chroma sees emotions as colors. Theirs is one of the more potent empath powers around, sometimes to their own detriment. Strong emotions linger in the air around them for years, meaning that in emotionally fraught locations they can't see anything at all. They also don't automatically know what the colors mean, and have spent years deducing the meanings through experience. There's a lot of colors and emotions to keep track of, so some the more complex associations still elude them. Overall, their power is more manageable than many others, so they don't have to take the same remedial classes as the rest of the main cast.

Slips is a clairvoyant. She holds the only known future-seeing power with 100% accuracy, which wins her the (very much unwanted) attention of the school's Evaluators, a group of mysterious and sometimes ruthless overseers who evaluate each student's progress... and their future usefulness to the government. The catch: Slips's predictions are very difficult to control, and to achieve them, she has to surrender her own memories and knowledge. The relevance of the memory or knowledge to the desired prediction, the work put into gaining the knowledge/memory, and its personal importance all play a role in what the prediction is going to be. Getting it right is extremely difficult and might take many tries... if it works at all. As a result, Slips's memory is basically Swiss cheese, and she very much lives in the moment, as much by necessity as by choice.

Together, these four form a tight friend group, and they will eventually become a team of government agents (who are always in teams of 4, shout-out RWBY). Their skills make them poorly suited for combat but very well suited for avoiding combat – covert missions, spying, negotiating, etc. This is when they will start to discover (surprise surprise!) that the government is more nefarious than it seems.

I've rambled enough but if anyone wants to hear more, there's a solid supporting cast with equally complicated powers, plus some fun intrigue both written and unwritten. :)

hii!! and thank you so much. I’m so sorry it took a long time for me to answer, I was making a video to answer this but life happened and sadly I am nowhere near finishing it :’3 but, I’ll try to explain now!

For the references:

I use this and my 2nd tumblr the most when drawing. On my account I have multiple public boards.

> The drawing board has a TON of (organized!) pins. It’s particularly useful to locate anatomy references, portraits of people to study off of, and tutorials for specific lighting or material.

> The Animal Inspo board I use a lot both for animal drawings and stylization practice for anthros! If I’m creating a monster or hybrid creature, I also use the board to collect inspiration for the design.

> The figure poses board is full of both solo and interaction poses. I keep it mostly to photos that don’t have perspective or any unconventional lenses + angles. This makes it good to practice human proportion, weight, and basic character interaction.

> If you’re looking for photos to study value, color, and composition then the art study board is super helpful! There’s both landscapes and still lifes. I’m going to use this board a lot while building my portfolio for college :’)

Aside from my public boards, I also have many private ones. For character design, I often make a pinterest board dedicated to the character that acts as a mood board.

For example, all three of these boards were for the same project: “create a fighter for a street fighter inspired video game.” Only one of these boards became a character in the world. In character design it’s essential to accept failure, try a variety of designs, and make a character with their role, backstory, and purpose in mind.

How I Use Them + Process !!

I don’t use references every single time I draw, but I’ll describe the instances of when and how I do use them. For a character illustration like this . . .

I referenced (1) my prior sketches of her and her design, (2) a pinterest board I created for her aesthetic, (3) and https://posemy.art for the pose.

I was also trying to replicate the 'splash art' style of popular videogames used to highlight and showcase characters. An important note: While references helped me get closer to my envisioned piece and goal, it didn't secure my success. This piece came out differently than I had in my head, but even then I'm happy with it since I adapted my ideas to better fit my skill level. ------------------------- For character design, I go through multiple renditions before I settle on a design. The references I used to build this character sheet I all gathered from pinterest.

Here's examples:

I also used references of tigers and other artist's animal drawings for the animal body. When drawing, I just either screenshot multiple or copy paste individual photos and paste them to my canvas. I keep them at the sides of my canvas while I draw. ------------------------- I hope this helps!! My dear Éloise Baer, my twst self insert for Divus :) She teaches some kind of animal care related class, in my mind! Only girl at a school where otherwise it's all dudes but. Nobody acknowledges this. 🤷 The version of her on the left is her current self, the one on the right is her as a teen/young adult :3 She has a bear curse but nowadays she knows how to control it better so no ears as a teacher unless she's angry or somethin'

On the left we have Dorenia, or just "Ren", an adventurer in love with Baizhu who often runs errands for the pharmacy. Andd on the right, there's Jarek who I thiiink I posted about but better safe than sorry, he's an Alien Stage contestant who's hopelessly in love with Ivan, despite his all-too obvious feelings for Till! We love tragedy in this house 🥳 And AUs where they're actually happy and together.

And finally, last but certainly not least, here's Emil Sinclair! He's an artist who was kinda shunned by his rich family in Piltover because of his disabilities and him not really being some super smart inventor.. But now he owns a shop where he sells sculptures, paintings, clothes he designed and made himself, etc. for rich people to go "ooh how unique and special" at and buy. A guy's gotta make a living somehow right. The cloak thingy in the top corner is my idea for his main outfit, but because I didn't manage to fully draw it before leaving for my vacation I sadly don't have a reference for it aside from that teensy sketch. It should be noted that he has acne scars and such on his shoulders, chest, and upper arms. I'm rambling but ah well. He was neighbors with Jayce and is his friend, but ultimately he caught feelings for Viktor so. 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨.

Ok, ok, it's been so long and I have many things to say.

First, I already have a sketch of Miguel (kind of), and he looks so soft. I was going in with super low expectations because he is so hard to draw, but I love how it came out! School keeps me busy, and I suck at managing my time, but I'll draw Pavitr soon enough so I can get started with fanarts (If I hear another engineer say my career is easy I'm losing it)

Second, the nickname post was so cute!!! I always love Miguel fluff. We don't have enough of it. I remember one time you hinted Miguel might or might not get jealous in one part of Nonviolent Communication but if I'm being honest I can't see Miguel being a jealous type (Although I'd love to read your take on it) I think he is more of an insecure person. Sure, I see him getting angry and even uncomfortable if someone flirts or tries anything with his partner, but not because he is jealous but rather because he wants his partner to be safe. I picture him hugging them the moment he gets home and just melting with them in his arms, nuzzling his nose against their hair, drowning in them. I think he focuses more on their safety than in any other thing.

"Did he touch you? Offer you something? What else did he say? Are you sure you're ok?"

In his mind, he is just glad they're safe and comfortable. Anything else is secondary, but I can maybe see him getting jealous of the attention they give to others, but if that's the case, I think he would just start saying nonstop that they are his and they're in a relationship at every opportunity he gets. He would also stand closer, just as an extra precaution (because he is petty like that)

Ya, por último, do you think Miguel eats red meat during Easter? I'm sure he allows Gabri to do so, but I have this silly idea that Miguel just... doesn't. He isn't religious or anything, but whenever he serves something with red meat to his daughter, he hears his mom telling him that he shouldn't eat that because it's disrespectful. Again, he isn't religious, but I like to think that something deep inside him tells him he shouldn't. Like that feeling when you can finally do something your parents didn't allow (like pulling an all-nighter or trying a certain food or watching a show). It's not guilt. It just feels odd... So he instead cooks seafood unless Gabri specifically says she wants something else. It's a silly idea, but I feel it's something ATSV Miguel would do

He's def hard to draw (I'm still struggling and I've been bad about practicing, too, because of poor time management recently😭 so that doesn't help! AWWW your jealous Miguel idea just got me in my feelings for real!!!!! 🥹🥹 Him being focused on his partner's safety more than anything >>>>> why is he not real???? No, I totally agree that Miguel would be more insecure than anything!! In Nonviolent Communication, I've included that Miguel has felt/sometimes still feels insecure about his appearance and his family life (the parents situation), so if we do have jealous Miguel in the fic... 👀 This aspect will def play into it. Also, the bit about him being more jealous of the attention - I can see this as well!! But in the fluffy way that Miguel just loves receiving his partner's attention, you know?

I can see him def making it known that his partner is taken especially if he sees that his partner feels uncomfortable by someone trying to make a move on them despite already making it known they're taken, so Miguel then steps in and we have him pulling them into him, placing his hand on their waist, and "hola, mi amor" or whatever nickname he has for his partner, to emphasize to the person to stop bothering his partner.

But do trust that if we see jealous Miguel in Nonviolent Communication, it won't be him going crazy or acting aggressive/hostile. I don't want to say much but believe me, we'll continue to see soft Miguel no matter the situation, even when he gets all celoso and grumpy, which I can see him displaying - grumpiness, not aggression!!

I'm very quickly going to say that I didn't know you're a Spanish speaker, so I'm delightfully surprised to see your Spanish in this ask!!! :) But about Easter and whether Miguel follows lent - it's actually crazy that you bring this up because I was thinking about this, too, recently as I'm Catholic and was not eating red meat. And well, this man truly does live rent free in my head and being Mexican, I like to wonder about his experiences - both the serious and the funny ones - as a Latino.

I hope I'm not rambling from this point on but this is something very interesting to think about, so here we go!! I know in a comic run it's mentioned that he's not religious but that he still finds himself at times doing certain things out of habit because he grew up in a Catholic home. He doesn't identify as one though, but instead as an atheist. That's comic Miguel and that's what I've seen so far from doing research in the past for the fic. I haven't read the comics yet, so I may be missing some information but that seems to be it.

ATSV Miguel on the other hand... I have a feeling he's not super religious right now (maybe hasn't been for several years), but he's also not an atheist?? It's more like he's lost a lot of faith at one point with so many negative events and situations taking place in his life (and like, I wouldn't blame him because if the writers stick to comic events... I would, too, lowkey). I think he probably has an ongoing inner conflict with his religion. Despite that, I truly do think that he still respects not eating red meat during lent for the reason that it's so ingrained into his brain that doing that is bad.

I can see him letting Gaby eat whatever, especially her being a child and children being excused (at least that's my knowledge; children, the elderly, and those sick/injured are excused), if she wishes to eat red meat but like you said, I imagine he finds himself cooking meals without red meat because again, it's ingrained into his mind that eating red meat is disrespectful. Also, the fact that he lives in a New York that's heavily influenced by Latin culture - I feel like that also influences him and leads him to opt out from eating red meat.

But I don't know, that's my idea as of right now! It's certainly so so interesting to think about and I like how I have a favorite character that I can think about in these contexts that are familiar to me (and to so many other fans). I really hope that we get to see much more about Miguel's backstory in BTSV regarding these little things because I certainly find it intriguing. I think it'd add another layer to his character, too! I just really want more Miguel content, let's be real 😭 but yeah those are my thoughts on it! I'm sorry for how long this turned out!!

⭐️3. Show us your oldest piece of art you have on hand

→ It was a real trip down memory lane to look back on some of these, but here's a sample of some old things from 2021-early 2022! (Prior to posting on social media in Aug 2022) Back then, I didn't have any real incentive to improve my art outside of drawing quick sketches like the pictures above. I had issues being cleanly (due to lack of motivation), committing to learning character details, and more LOL. →Fun fact, I drew on a very tiny 11 inch screen 4GB RAM laptop with horrible color calibration for about 3 years until finally getting something better in early 2022 too LOL. It might be noticeable in some of the above pictures with the color choices being a little too light or too saturated, LOL.

→As also seen at the bottom of this post, It might come as a surprise that I also draw fanart for my favorite assorted fandoms outside of megaten too, LOL. I just never post it in public since they're meant as warm-up doodles!

To be honest, 2020 thru late 2022 was a very low point in my life. I had given up on all creative endeavors at the time due to: My career, being diagnosed with a bodily issue of which the effects I still deal with even today, and other personal issues.

It truly wasn't until late 2022 (when I started posting online) that I truly felt confident picking up my tablet pen again and view art in a more positive light…!

NGL I had written out my entire life story here but ended up deleting it--it would have made this post terribly long regardless LOL💦 Perhaps it'll be a story for another time, though!!🙏 And it absolutely has to do with why the Samurai husbands mean lot to me!

⭐️18. What is your purpose for drawing?

→ That's a good question! For me, (especially due to my visual agnosia) it'd have to be the ability to draw whatever comes to mind with skill and precision. To not hold back and draw whatever comes into your mind's eye without fear or hesitation from others (or your own critical inner voice)… And to be able to properly convey the meaningful themes of your work as clearly as they come into your mind... That, to me, is true freedom.

➡️As for BL content: Despite not posting much of it in public (yet), my purpose in drawing BL (or OTP content in general) is to transmit feelings of love + warmth in my art! To depict tenderness, warmth, and love with affectionate, natural-looking body language to make it as believable + realistic as possible...That's always been my goal! →The world is a scary place out there. Though, if my OTP content can make someone feel a slight glimmer of peace, tranquility, or even hope to keep moving forward...then I'll be incredibly happy!🙏💕 It's always my intention to convey nothing but sweet wholesome vibes and warmth with my pictures, and I truly hope that feeling comes across too. ➡️I'll be super candid and say I actually really enjoy angst and raunchy content as much as everyone else! But drawing wholesome + sweet characters in love just comes much sooo much easier and naturally as breathing to me, LOL. Just because I don't post angst or raunchy things, doesn't mean I dislike it! ☝️

→ I tend to gravitate towards professional artists with thick painting (厚塗り) coloring styles, dynamic illustrations, and artists that have a strong grasp of anatomy, character design and storytelling! Hi Hina! How are you? I just want to start off by saying I love your art 💞 it reminds me of cookies... or bread (does that make sense??) and i just wanna eat it up (please take it as a compliment 🙈)

I have a question... it might be a bit silly but I hope you don't mind. I've been trying to get back into art myself, used to love it as a kid but somewhere along the way I just stopped... I'm not sure what happened but it's something I still love doing and want to do. One problem I had tho (and still have) is that I don't have my own style? When I was little I would usually browse through art and if I see something I like I tried to recreat it, but in the end it looks exactly like the original art (the amount of times i had to convince ppl that I didn't trace it.... I really didn't)

I think it might be that I don't have an initial start process 🤔 when I start drawing I'd look at my reference and just put those shapes right in as I see it... there is no sketch or lineart just a final product. And now I don't even know where to start? Am i over thinking it and should I just go for it... or do you have any tips for a beginner?

no need to apologize!! i’ve talked a lot about my thoughts on the art style fixation that a lot of people get trapped in, but the tl;dr of it is draw first and style will come naturally later so don't paralyze yourself into a slump by believing that you Can't draw without solidifying your art style

also smth i feel like i've mentioned before sdfsgfj but i was very much in the same boat of just copying art i liked 1:1 when I was younger so i definitely empathize with your struggle of not knowing how to start branching out into your own stuff . copying was good practice but i was definitely treating it like a crutch . but u know that’s where doing fanart really helped for me because since the characters Exist already i can treat them like little dolls fr me to dress move around, n it overall feel less like i’m stuck floundering completely trying to conjure up a 100% original piece. 

that being said, if fanart is something you’re into, maybe u can use that as a way 2 push yourself also! u can still look at references (in fact you Should look at references) but rather than copying what you see exactly, maybe u can try drawing character in a different pose, or from a different angle ! it doesn’t have to be anything super complex or elaborate, just get into the habit of not drawing exactly what you see so u slowly build confidence in your ability to compose your own piece. eliminates the “did you trace that” aspect also!

as for u saying u have a lack of start process, i rly do recommend sketching .  not only is it practice and a good warmup, it’s a visual brainstorm !! sketching is how u get ur ideas down on paper its like working with yourself to chip away the scraps n hone in on the idea u want to convey. plus with sketching there’s no pressure to make smth that looks “good”, the whole point is that it’s unpolished ! n i find what happens a lot of the time is i dont realize i even Have an idea until ive been sketching fr a bit and i realize Oh i can make smth out of this :)

Butterflies (ft. Blythe and Roger)

A bright, sunny afternoon in the Suburbia neighborhood. It was a lovely day to tend to gardens.

As Roger watered the flower bushes, his 7-year-old daughter Blythe sat quietly in the shade, drawing. Roger was so proud that Blythe had found herself a hobby. And she was good at it too, especially for her age.

As he tipped over the watering can to water the next bush, something caught his eye. Something small and light, flapping in the air…

"Blythe, come here!" Roger called his daughter over. "A butterfly!"

"A butterfly?!" Blythe looked up from her sketching in excitement. She left her sketchbook on the table and ran over to her father's side. She jumped in joy when she noticed the little insect.

"A butterfly! Woah, it's so pretty!" Blythe said.

"Absolutely," Roger nodded.

Finally, the butterfly flapped away in another direction, leaving the Baxter's garden.

"Aww, bye bye little butterfly!" Blythe waved the creature goodbye.

"You know Blythe… your mother really liked butterflies. She found them fascinating."

"Really?"

"Yeah. When were in highschool, she'd constantly mention bugs whenever we talked. She even took entomology in college."

"En…toe…wha?"

Roger chuckled, "Entomology. The study of insects. And butterflies are insects."

"Ohhh… Okay, okay! Wow, I wanna draw butterflies now!"

"Well, go right ahead!"

Blythe walked back to the shaded part of the garden, where the table with her sketchbook lay. Once there, she got back to drawing.

Roger smiled. He was so, so lucky to have this little girl.

15-year-old Blythe was seated on the couch, sketching. She had her music playing through her headphones.

"Hey, Blythe?"

"Yeah, dad?"

"Can I see your sketchbook?"

The question made Blythe shiver.

"Uh… why? You don't think I'm up to anything, do you…?"

"No! No. I trust you, Blythe. I know you wouldn't. I just wanna see your pages about butterflies again."

"Oh. Sure thing, Dad!" Blythe flipped the sketchbook over to the right page, then handed it to her father.

"Ah, I see…" Roger hummed as he examined every little sketch, "Wow. Wow! You're doing butterfly-inspired jewelry?"

"Yeah!"

"That's great! Totally great. Super great. Lovely."

"…Is there any particular reason you wanted to look into my sketchbook?"

"Uhm…" Roger hummed as he sneakily took out his phone and took a picture of the page, "No reason at all."

"You just took a picture of it."

"No I didn't," Roger immediately shoved the phone back into his pocket, and the sketchbook back into Blythe's hands.

"Lovely sketches, Blythe! You're really good at this."

He was clearly dodging her questions, but today she was going to not mind it. So instead, she said;

"Thanks, Dad!"

"You know, if you're up for it, would you like to go to art school? I think you'd be fit for that."

"Oh, I was actually thinking of something more like… fashion design. Like, fashion university."

"Ooh, fashion! Very ambitious. What are your goals for that one?"

"I'm… not really sure yet! Work at a fashion magazine? Start my own fashion business? I dunno."

"I see. Well, who knows? You've got plenty of time to think about that! What are you in again? 7th grade?"

"Mhm."

"Yep. Plenty of time!"

A few weeks later, Roger was on some sort of overnight trip. He was heading to Britain this time? Yeah…

So when Blythe heard the doorbell ring, she bolted over to the door to check who it was.

"Who is it?"

"Blythe, it's me! I'm home!"

When Blythe opened the door, she found her father standing there, dressed in his pilot's uniform.

"Dad! Welcome home!" She didn't hesitate to give him a big hug, which Roger gladly returned. "How was the trip?"

"Lovely! In fact, I've even got a few things for you!"

"F-for me? Really?"

"Hmmm… I'll show you after dinner! Come on. I got some food on the way back here." Roger said in a sing-songy voice, whistling on his way to the kitchen to prepare the food.

"Bah, cliffhanger…"

"Mmm, that was some really good food!" Blythe sighed, satisfied and happy with the night's meal, "Which restaurant did you get this from?"

"Oh, not exactly a restaurant. You know Ms. Lora's place?"

"Lora Hall? The lady who lives… 7 houses down from here?"

"Yeah, her. Her daughter recently started up a cooking business, so I checked it out."

"That's amazing! Do they have anywhere I can leave a 5 star review?"

Roger chuckled, "No, I don't think so. It's just a neighborhood thing, y'know? But I'll be sure to tell them that the next time I pass by their place!"

Father and daughter laughed together, enjoying each other's company.

But then, Blythe remembered.

"Hey, Dad. I remember you mentioning you had something… for me?"

"Oh! I do, yes I do! Here, let me just…" Roger reached into his bag, digging around in it, looking for something. Finally, he brought out a tiny little box.

"Wait… jewelry?" Blythe asked in disbelief.

"Yes! Or no. Maybe. Open it and find out."

Blythe followed the instructions. Her fingers took careful hold of the lid of the box, gently lifting up to reveal…

"A… candy necklace." Blythe held up the confection jewelry, looking at it with a raised brow and a look of confusion.

"Yes! A great addition to your closet, right? At least until you eat it. Or the ants do…"

Blythe simply rolled her eyes, chuckling, "Dad…"

Roger couldn't help but chuckle as well, "Okay, no, but seriously. Here's your actual gift." He presented another little box to Blythe, taking back the candy necklace (which he promptly ate).

When Blythe opened the new box, she was surprised to find…

"Oh. Em. GEE!" She gasped, "Is this one of my designs?"

"Ding ding ding! You got that right." Roger nodded. "I took it to a jeweler, and now I got you this!"

Blythe held up the necklace, watching its gold shimmer in the light. She recognized the design on the charm as one of her own- an outline of a butterfly's wings, with several bright, shining, magenta gems sealed in.

"Dad, it's beautiful! Thank you so much… would mind helping me put it on?"

"Of course, anything for you, Blythie."

Work

Volunteering - Last week was tiring, but fun! The event that I was volunteering at focused on people with intellectual disabilities, and I was part of the health screening section (though I was merely recording data, not conducting the screening). This event had people from all over Canada too. Because of that I had to brush up my french skills, which I haven't used in nearly 8+ years, so that was a struggle. What was less of a struggle was communicating with ASL!! I had one person who was deaf and when I realized it I was able to sign to him! Mind you, when he signed back I didn't 100% understand him because I was too focused on what I was signing, and I definitely made a few mistakes, but I'm still really happy!

5in5weeks - Ok, @izicodes made a challenge 2 years ago to spend 5 weeks learning 5 programming languages, and I thought that was a super good idea and that it would help with my burnout. (link to the project can be found here). Now, I'm gonna be taking weekends off (and I'm out of town for the next few days later this week), so I won't be doing this daily, but I'm gonna try my best not to take random days off. That being said, I'm starting this off with PHP! I covered some basics today by watching a youtube playlist, and I probably won't get through all 100+ videos in a week, but my aim with this challenge is to get the basics done and create something simple. After this challenge, I'll delve deeper into the languages that I like.

💌 Day 1: What are you most looking forward in learning PHP?

I had to use PHP for a class about 2 years ago and I asked my friend to help me (because I had no idea what was going on and it wasn't taught in class), and he basically did the work. Now, I keep on seeing PHP as a requirement for job applications, so I decided to finally get started on learning it. I actually applied for a job half a year ago and they emailed me asking if I knew PHP, and having to say no made me feel like garbage. So...time to change that.

Art - I've been wanting to delve into 3D art for a while now. 3 years ago I looked up the classic donut tutorial for Blender, but that's it. Now I'm gonna do the same thing, but this time progress past the tutorial and actually make things on the regular with it. Hopefully I will be as obsessed with it as I was when I was first learning how to draw, and just pump out as much as I can (quality doesn't matter at the starting point). There's just so much to the interface for Blender that you need to learn...it's overwhelming and intimidating.

The Lionheart Brothers Bookcover (part - 2) from Shri - 01/03/24

That sounds like exciting stuff! Absolutely loved seeing the Riso come together colour by colour!

Also, I'm super happy that you're letting your (comfort?) characters marine in your head for a while! There is nothing more fun and relaxing than just imagining your comfort characters interact/go through their story with no pressure of making it a 'good' story.

I constantly have my comfort characters go through self-indulgent story structures e.g. sickfic vibes or hurt/comfort storylines (have I imagined many of those sorts of scenes before? yes. Will I image it again? yes.

Anyway, getting into part 2 now.

When sketching these first few ideas, I was completely free and open, not limiting myself to any boundaries yet.

The only thing I was roughly keeping in mind was the visual cues and elements of the book. These included elements such as the Dove, Cutler (the bag guy), the brothers and the house. I was also really loosely thinking about composition, and how the dynamics of the story/character will affect the composition.

You can see me thinking about the relationship of the characters further here, playing around with this big dark shadowy figure taking up most of the page, Showing how this ominous creature is in control/power.

Elements I considered 

Brothers' closeness (showing that in their physical closeness to each other on the page and their body language)

peaceful with overshadowing danger (either with a shadow figure or maybe the dove being shot?)

Rusky (younger brother) follows/wants to be more like his older brother Jonathan

This is why in a lot of the images I drew I purposely put Rusky below Jonathan/or following him somewhere, this is to show how Rusky isn't where his brother is but is striving to get there. This was quite difficult to get as making them close yet having this relationship dynamic was had to capture.

This is where I had to now put on my critical hat and really ask what sketch serves the book better. Although I absolutely adore the cover with them on the horses and the one what them climbing the mountain together. They didn't quite convey the message/story the book had, so I went with the last one.

I love this cover but it really doesn't tell us anything about the bother, except that they have a good relationship.

I think this is the best image in showing the conflict between the brothers and Tengil while also showing their bravery.

To push the brother's notice aspect in the story I'll need to tweak

I'm pushing the sketch further by simplifying it so I can figure out the overall shapes and silhouettes.

This was to show how Rusky is still trying to catch up to his older brother both physically and metaphorically.

Though having them holding hands shows this closeness between them, so shows this dynamic relationship where Rusky (the younger brother) is trying to be as great as his older brother but also having a wholesome relationship.

The image above is just not sitting right. theoretically it makes sense but the whole image just feels weird

so I continued to play around with the existing image (see above), playing around with adding elements and text.

It just continued to not sit right. Although I did consider just colouring it in any way, I went back to the drawing board and relook at this cover.

Really like what the border brings, it brings room/space, something to play with (shapes) and it gives the tone of the book a more fairytale/old feel which was something really lacking before.

Then I had a whole Slide just ranting about this project and why I can't seem to get the image to fit right.

I am very frustrated because the image is just not working. This is because I believe iced over complicated it and it doesn't have enough space to breathe with is something I appreciate in imagery

At this point, I am truly lost. So when you are in any sense lost in a project, you always go back to one point.

What are you trying to say?

I was to show Rusky's bravery and wanting to be like his brother. I want to show his bravery in helping liberate Wild Rose Village (they live in Cherry Village) and liberate Wild Rose Village.

The dictator guy needs to be at the top of the page because he has total control of Wild Rose Village (not Cherry Valley yet), However, he only has this power because of the horn that controls Cutla, otherwise, he's not that bad.

i am?? having whiplash from how rad your art is?? i know i said your rendering is nice but i actually wasn't expecting the second image?? someone please tell me why: 1. i kept looking at it for like 10 minutes straight just analysing all the details, rendering nd brush strokes (they were all immaculate as heck and there was such a cool variety of them)

2. i forgot how much range of style/phases an artist can have? /not serious /lighthearted

i don't even fully remember how, i think it was via twitter, but one of the guests (JP Yates) just knows me now, has known me for years, and always says hi when he sees me and stuff. like his kids know me, his son kept finding me at con last year and saying hi, i'm just like pals with his whole family somehow?! anyway he was MC-ing the concert on friday and we chatted before the show and he got me to take pics of him on stage for his ig and it's just fun for me that i'm like friends with a guest i guess?! anyway i also went to one of his panels on saturday which was v fun and i left after and then came back bc i was like "no i need to get a pic with him if i'm getting pics with all my other favorite guests" so i went back and he was still talking to someone else BUT there was another guest in the room (Yoyo) and she was SO cute, i was in my Maomao cosplay and she asked me for a picture and told me she loved Apothecary Diaries (same girl same) and said my wig looked perfect and i looked so good and that she'd seen a lot of Maomaos at con but that i was the BEST Maomao and that i looked like i'd just stepped out of the anime and i just jfeiwoaf :')))))) made me feel so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then JP Yates came over and he was like "yeah her cosplays are always top notch" like ?!? guys stop being nice to me i can't handle it jfeiwaofjewa

oh my god the jacabal's being SO sweet to me the whole weekend honestly whenever they saw me but after the concert on friday when i went over they were all like "sarah!!!!!" and happily signed my badge for me (side note, since they don't do autograph panels anymore, it's fully possible that i was the only person at con with jacabal's autographs and extra possible that i was the only person at con with a jacabal's-autographed badge, i love life) and then i didn't want to take up more of their time and ask for a pic but then THEY were like "picture??? :D" so pics with my favorite people!!!!!!!!!!! screams!!!!!!!!!

omg Miharu then messaging me on ig friday night and asking me if she could send the videos i took of them during the concert to the team and i was like "of course!!" and then her asking me to email them to her so i did and then on saturday after their workshop she came up to me and was like "thank you so much for yesterday!!! thank you thank you!!!!" like ?! she's adorable. thank YOU miharu sensei 🥺 and me getting more pics on saturday after their workshop too!!!!!! one day.......one day i will be brave enough to participate in the workshop........but i also just like watching bc i love them :'))))) it's the same thing every year but i just love them i will go anyway :')))))))

i didn't go to the big (very long) concert on sunday bc i wanted time to shop and just wander around so i didn't see the jacabal's then BUTTTTTT i was getting an end-of-con pic in the lobby and i saw them coming down the stairs to leave the convention center and smiled and waved and they waved back and we went outside and i started to get out stars to give to them (bc i was umbreon and giving stars to everyone that day) and they got SO excited when i handed them the stars when they came outside and then AGAIN jigoroh was like "PICTURE!!" and they were all "every day sarah!! picture!!!!!!" like they were SO cute about it, i always get nervous that i'm annoying them when i ask for pics and stuff so much but it makes me feel so special when they do things like this for me!!!! i love them!!!!!!!

also umbreon was a POPULAR one LOLOLOL i had so many guests ask ME for photos that day?!? one in the hotel in the morning, then Someta Hayashiya asked me for a pic, JP Yates asked me for a pic (he was like "gotta get a pic with you in this cosplay too!!" lol), then Toshifumi Yoshida, the literal Animation Localization Manger for The Pokemon Company, who has been working for Pokemon for 15 years, ASKED ME FOR MY PHOTO. SAID THAT I WAS THE BEST POKEMON COSPLAY AT CON. THAT THERE WERE SO MANY BUT MY UMBREON WAS GREAT. the lady with him was even like “you got the nose and everything!! oh it’s just perfect!!” like hello?!?!?! i am CRYING!?!?! HELLO!?!?!?!

so many guests got to take home paper stars from me because of this i cry :'))))

Skipbeat being so cute and taking pictures with me every day too and being all excited to see me and ask about my cosplays and stuff :'))) they were doing a popularity contest thing where if you bought a shirt you also got a pin and you got to pick a color pin associated with each member. i picked pink for Natsu bc she hadn't been in ages and Shun (who is MARRIED to Natsu) seeing it on saturday when i was getting them to sign the shirt and being like "PINK!?! WHY PINK!! MY COLOR ORANGE!!!!" like mans i am trying to support your wife XDDD

on sunday skipbeat did autographs after the show even though it wasn't on the schedule and i was like "aw shit i don't have anything for them to sign today" but i still wanted to ask for a picture and give them stars so i was standing there waiting for everyone else to go (it worked out, i got them to sign paper they had on the table) but i let them sign and Yu is first in line and after he signs i hold out my hand and he's like "???" and i'm like "for you!" and drop the two little stars (everyone got yellow and black for umbreon) in his hand and he was just immediately gasping and "!!!!!!" like absolutely ENTHRALLED with them and Kohei was next so i did the same and when he got stars he and Yu were both like "!!!!!!! LOOK!!!!" and "WHAT???" then me being like "paper stars!!" and then being like "PAPER STARS!!!" oh my god i love them they were all so excited about them :')))

and getting the pic with them after and shun holding the little stars up and acting goofy during it oh i love them

also shun and natsu bringing their 6 month old baby aimi!!! she was PRECIOUS!!!! friends and i were sitting outside closing ceremonies just talking and Shun comes by with baby Aimi and he stops to show her off to me and my friend and let us coo over how precious she was in her little outfit, he was so proud of her, and like he totally COULD have just kept walking past us with no acknowledgement that we were there and i wouldn't have bugged him, but he went out of his way to come over and show her off?! and, not to be mean or anything, but i'm the one they know, not my friend, bc she doesn't go to their shows much or interact with them or anything, so like.......he came over bc of me mostly i think and i just?!?! thank u shun 🥺🥺

like honestly i've been having a rough few years and i've been SO exhausted this year and i went into con feeling probably more down than usual but looking back.....the guests really do just make me feel so special??? them interacting with me at con, interacting with me on ig, remembering me from year to year........it's so special, i can't believe how sweet they are to me sometimes 🥺🥺😭

a lot of people told me my Anna on friday was v cute, had a LOT of people complement my Maomao (especially my Maomao wig, which i appreciated so much bc i spent too many hours on it lmao), lots of people love the Umbreon!!

also i got to rescue TWO people at con this year.....twice i had come up and ask me if i had a pad bc they started their periods and didn't have anything and i got to save the day and give them one, my Convention Survival Kit truly saved the day AW YEAH

i wasn't originally gonna go to the pokemon photoshoot on sunday bc idk i was just gonna meet up with friends but a bunch of pokemon cosplayers saw me and were like "you're coming right??? UMBREON PLS COME TO SHOOT!!!!!" it was so cute, i was summoned heehee it was v hot outside in the sun in the all-black and thick layers but it was a lot of fun, i like being with other people cosplaying from the same thing i am!!!

i also loved going around con and going up to every Maomao i saw and going "i like your Maomao!!" and them turning and seeing that i was also Maomao and them going "i like YOUR Maomao!!" HAHA i love finding cosplay twins!!!! it's so cute and wholesome!!!!!!

Meet Rory "Coyote" Acker:

Formerly a First Lieutenant in the Green Berets, and nowadays a Lieutenant in Task Force 141, Coyote is just shy of 6'6" and around 260lbs with plenty of adaptability in the field, just like his namesake- big and bulky and as loyal as a dog, he's a force to be reckoned with in combat, though likely not a great companion for those prone to stress given his habit of getting a bit lost in the adrenaline.

He often appears intimidating, but is kinder than his appearance lets on, and any attempts from him to seem unapproachable or cold are, for the most part, fronts.

Not much is publicly known about his history or home life outside of some basic information, most of it kept tightly under wraps by Price as per his request, but he's not quite as secretive as he seems, and will usually open up about it after a while. One thing that never seems to stay wrapped up long is just about anything relating to his cat...

After unusual behavior from Coyote around mid-March, Price decides he's seen enough and urges the man to get help, some way or another. Coyote reluctantly decides maybe it is time to open himself up a little more.

Maybe it won't be so bad.

I've been doing art for most of my life, mostly with animals but I'm getting there with people!! I'm only recently getting into RP properly, but I don't think I'm terrible at it if I do say so

I've played MW2019 and MWII a few times, I'm trying to get MWIII but preowned copies are so hard to find, and I'll probably play the remastered MW2 campaign sometime soon. I'm interested in Black Ops, we only have III at the moment, and I hope to snag Ghosts and the original MW series sometime. Ghosts has a dog, that's enough to convince me.

I am also interested in a bunch of other things, but for some reason this is the one that sticks

I'm Southern lol. I have something really weird going on with my accent ngl, but however I write Coyote talking is ripped from myself. I'm quite fond of it either way.

He's not a self-insert, by any means, he never was and never will be (I wish I was 6'5") but some things are fun to share with my favorite dude I will not lie

I'm native American (dad's side is Cherokee, mom's side is Lakota) and stick it onto Coyote as a way of showing pride over it. I'm mostly involved with Lakota stuff.

With Coyote I don't plan on confirming any sort of heritage for him, but Lakota will come up a lot.

I would love to do some private RPs honestly, I really want to but finding places for it is a daunting task. Not too active on Tumblr though I can try here, I do best on Discord.
