Just heard the most depressing news that ruined my morning and probably my whole damn day!
Fuckin’ Netflix has decided to cancel Warrior Nun!!
Like WHAT THE FUCK!
Just NO.
I can’t accept that this is the end.
Wth is the Netflix team thinking??? Or are they even thinking?!
Warrior Nun is a massive success of a show! Even non-lgbtq fans loved it!
Everything was perfectly executed in this show — the storyline, the character developments, the production… They utilised their budget wisely and efficiently! Like what more could they ask for?
And a lot of people subscribed to Netflix just for this show!
So just NO!
I’m still hoping another platform picks up this show!
C’mon, Simon Barry! I believe in you! Save this show and we’re behind you 100%!!

Rebecca's Molded Creatures Guide - Pt 7
Tumblr media
[The following notes are recorded in a lizard-skin bound journal always kept on the person of Rebecca, the co-leader of the Recovery Colony, for the purpose of documenting and sharing the details and record of events of the Mold infestation.]
These notes include illustrations and details regarding the Molded, creatures of our world that have been infected and/or created by the Mold. It should be noted that all creatures listed are very dangerous and should be avoided at all costs to lessen the spread of the Mold. If interaction is unavoidable, these notes will also detail how to keep oneself from getting infected - if it’s possible.
Lycans
A new creature has been glimpsed roaming in fully formed Mold forests, with some saying the originated from the Village - an Iterator region that many believe to be the epicenter of the Mold outbreak
Based on eyewitness accounts and a drawing, it is believed this is some sort of Scavenger hybrid - with some saying it was hybridized with a Slugcat. Their body is grayscale with bone spines protruding from their backs and tails, and horns from their heads
They seem to travel in troops and avoid infected and uninfected alike, disappearing deep into the Mold Forest if they know they have been spotted. No one has interacted with them yet
Ethan was disturbed when he was shown the drawing that a survivor had made, saying that it looked almost like Eveline. He did not elaborate as to who Eveline was
{Log #___}
[Specimen Name: Tyrant]
The Tyrant Project has yet to yield a viable specimen, but I have yet to give up. I believe that with time, the perfect superspreader and guardian will be born from the ashes of its predecessors.
As it has proven harmful to the Heart to incinerate failed specimens, I have simply released them into the world after I collected the necessary data. They have yet to wander beyond the boundaries of the Village, but I believe they will follow the Lycans - their source of food before they were driven away by their growing numbers.
Though they have failed me in their specific purpose, I do believe that they will still be useful to me. Eveline is still out there, I can feel her, along with others who have resisted the Heart’s pull.
They must be dealt with.

Queen Leech, Plague Crawler and Proto-Tyrant sketches.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Really need to remember the My Art and Sketch Art tags each time. The Resident Evil 0 stuff, I've done this year since I ended up doing a couple runs of that game in a row and felt inclined to draw the monsters from It. Still kind of want to do stuff from It and do another run this year.... RE0 is a good game play It.

man. sorry to talk about colin fucking provolone again. but the fact that he is the only truly decent member of this party. he’s descended from a rebel leader who tried to stand up to a tyrant and was brutally killed. he saw his friend, a man he trusted and cared about, turning into a similar tyrant, and he left, damn the consequences. he got caught up in something he didn’t understand, murdered an innocent, was plagued by guilt, and returned to make whatever amends he could. the only thing he has ever wanted to do is keep people safe.

Mario instinctively lifted a trembling arm before he even registered the embrace, powerless to resist the pull. And when Luigi tightened his hold, wordlessly inviting him to do the same, he found himself entirely unable to hold back any longer. It was then that the stupefying reality of it all finally hit Mario with full force, and he broke down crying as he gingerly engulfed Luigi in a tender hug.
-
There it is, folks. My last entry for the body swap concept I shared over the past few weeks. 🤲💝 This is a direct continuation of these two scenes that I wanted to explore through both illustration and text. I hope you've enjoyed this tangent! I will surely revisit it again at some point. ^-^
(Full scene below the cut 📝)
-oOo-
Mario stared, mouth agape, frozen in place.
He had been about to voice his surprise as he had looked up and spotted a second figure walking into view, but had fallen silent the second he had recognized who it was. Unable to finish his sentence. Unable to articulate a single word.
The man currently standing a short distance away from him appeared similarly struck, as if lost in a daze. His eyes were wide open and his stance unsteady, but his breathing was slow. Quiet. Calm, even. His hand slid from the rocky surface on which it was resting, and he shuffled his feet slightly as he stood a little straighter. A movement that Mario had seen a million times before and knew by heart. The detail was painful in its candid simplicity, the familiarity it emanated feeling both out of place and strangely grounding. The young man blinked, his shoulders dropping somewhat, and Mario noted that his expression wasn't one of horror or dismay.
It was one of solemn awe and sympathy.
Mario felt his jaw twitch and move feebly, but no sound came out. Distantly, he registered Princess Peach gently patting his neck in support, her touch warm and comforting. He could feel his eyes begin to sting as he swallowed, then resolutely tried again.
"L-Luigi?" He finally whispered, his voice wavering.
It didn't seem real.
Mario wasn't sure how long he had remained chained up in his cell, although the time he had spent imagining the worst scenarios imaginable had seemed to him like an eternity. The confinement and loneliness, he could handle. But no punishment or torture remotely equaled the threat that Bowser had dropped as he had turned to him, his human features distorted by an ugly and cruel sneer.
"If you do anything to try and get out of here, they're dead. That lovely Princess you're so enamored with? Dead. That miserable coward you call your brother? Also dead. I guarantee you I will kill them both, and I will make sure they thoroughly suffer to make you pay for it. Is that understood?"
Mario had already been heavily restrained at this point, faced with a squad of Bowser's best guards and Kamek hovering menacingly above them, wand in hand. But that didn't matter. He might as well have been alone with the tyrant, free and fully capable of defending himself; the dark promise would have halted him in his tracks all the same, paralyzing him with an identical wave of sickening dread.
He had only managed to give a single, haggard nod in response, and as soon as the malevolent king had departed with his troops, he had caved under the weight of his own despair. There, left alone to rot in the deepest dungeon of Bowser's fortress, he had spent many hours stagnating in emotional agony, overwhelmed by a crushing feeling of helpessness and guilt.
This was all his fault. He had fallen into his enemy's trap, and now his loved ones were in grave peril because of his foolishness. Worse yet, he couldn't protect or even warn them.
It was a nightmare come true, and the torment it had plagued him with ceaselessly had made it impossible for him to rest or think about anything else, exhausting him beyond his limits.
He was still reeling from the shock and astonishing surge of hope he had felt when the princess had entered his cell. To see her there, alive and well, reaching to offer him any form of reassurance she could despite his horrendous mistake and appearance had felt almost like an absurd dream in itself…
But to find Luigi there as well stunned Mario in a way that he couldn’t put into words even if he tried. To think of all that his little brother had braved for him - and still continued to brave, even now - was absolutely staggering.
Mario was vaguely aware of the sound of Peach's voice as she offered him a few hushed words of encouragement, but he could barely hear her. His mind felt as though it was wrapped in a thick layer of wool, fuzzy and packed. The prickling sensation at the corner of his eyes intensified, making his vision blurry and unfocused.
Luigi took a tentative step forward, then another. He was being cautious, his movements measured and small. Something in his demeanor told Mario that he wasn't doing this out of unease, or to mentally steel himself, but for another reason entirely. He was observing him attentively, trying to gauge his reaction, and it was suddenly clear that Luigi was being careful for his sake instead of his own.
The pressure at the back of Mario's throat became all at once suffocating, and he made a choked noise as he tried to press himself further against the wall he had backed into, hiding his beastly face in his hands.
"Per favore… Non avvicinarti di più", he whimpered brokenly, vainly trying to conceal himself from view.
He didn't understand how Luigi could remotely find it in himself to look at him, and less even approach him. His little brother had always been frightened of fierce creatures. Mario recalled many nights where he had held Luigi close when they were young, assuring him that no monster would ever come near him. What good could he accomplish now? In a cruel twist of fate, he was stuck as the one thing he had vowed to protect Luigi from, and there was nothing he could do to change his predicament.
He couldn’t handle the mere thought of his brother staring at him with terror in his eyes. He just couldn't. It would be too much for him to bear.
"N-non ti v-voglio spaventare", he stuttered weakly, amidst the ragged breaths shaking his entire form.
There was no audible response to his plea, and for a few harrowing seconds, Mario believed he was alone once more. Wondering, despite himself, whether he had wished so dearly to see Luigi and Peach again that he briefly managed to persuade himself that they were indeed there with him. But then, he heard a faint sigh, and was deeply startled when two very small hands took hold of his own, gently prying them away. The contact was meek but insistent, and Mario found that he didn't have the resolve nor the willpower to fight it. Gradually, his clawed paws were withdrawn from his face as he heaved and shuddered, his eyes still shut tight in mortifcation.
He couldn’t move, could hardly even breathe. He was petrified.
"Ciò non potrebbe mai accadere…"
With a start, Mario gasped and looked down to see Luigi fondly shaking his head. He was smiling, albeit in a pained and wobbly manner, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. His gloved fingers went to cup the underside of his jaw, grazing the scaly area in a gesture completely devoid of hesitation, and with seldom seen certainty, he serenely held his gaze.
"…caro fratellone," he added in a fragile murmur, before leaning forward and past his snout.
Mario instinctively lifted a trembling arm before he even registered the embrace, powerless to resist the pull. And when Luigi tightened his hold, worldlessly inviting him to do the same, he found himself entirely unable to hold back any longer. It was then that the stupefying reality of it all finally hit Mario with full force, and he broke down crying as he gingerly engulfed Luigi in a tender hug.
"Sei qui! Sei davvero qui!" He repeated like a mantra, sobbing profusely.
"Io sono qui," Luigi returned, his kind voice muffled against his neck. "Non vado da nessuna parte."
Never had Luigi been the one to comfort a scared and distraught Mario before, but in this exact moment, nothing felt more right. They both needed this, they knew, and for more reasons than one.
Standing respectfully off to the side, Peach looked on as Luigi whispered something else in Italian, causing both brothers to huff in incredulous mirth. She watched as Mario ever so gently angled his head downwards, ruffling Luigi’s hair with his cheek as he lightly stroked his back. And as she did, it occurred to her with stark clarity that they were really - and truly - two halves of a whole. Separating them seemed as awful and unnatural a thought as a world existing without either night or day. It was simply inconceivable.
Walking out from the shadowed spot where he had quietly observed the whole exchange, Junior wandered closer and stopped a few timid steps away from the princess, his gaze riveted on his feet.
"I understand, now," he mumbled dejectedly.
Peach turned to the young prince, giving him a soft and curious look. Before she could inquire about his statement, he feebly kicked at the dust and joined his hands behind his back, purposely averting his eyes still.
"I understand why this was so important to him," he elaborated, designating Luigi with a slight jerk of his chin. "Why he did all of that, and why he wouldn't back down. I didn't know they were so…"
He trailed off as he looked at the bros, a glimmer of wistfulness and empathy shimmering in his eyes.
"Inseparable?" Peach supplied for him, knowingly.
He nodded, his outwardly nonchalant demeanor however made less than convincing by his troubled frown.
"Do you… Do you think there's a chance Mario will still want to be my friend?" He eventually asked, his voice plaintive and small.
Peach blinked at him in mild shock, and with a compassionate smile, she bent down to his level.
"You have reunited him with his brother," she reminded him, emphasizing the sheer significance of that fact through her tone. When he tried dismissing it with a rueful shrug, she laid a hand on his shoulder and waited for him to look at her. "You did a wonderful thing, and we're all very grateful for it. Mario loves you very much no matter what. He'll want to thank you himself, no doubt."
Though he tried not to let it show, Junior was visibly elated and relieved by her response. He rocked on his heels with a boyish grin, looking proud and hopeful for the first time that day, and Peach found that his enthusiasm was contagious. With a pleased hum, she smoothed out her dress and motioned for him to follow her just as Mario and Luigi finally parted.
They didn't know how they would solve this issue, and if they were all honest with themselves, they were also very apprehensive about what was yet to come. But something had changed. They no longer felt defeated, lost or isolated. Where there had previously been nothing but fear and sadness, there was now love and support. A newfound assurance and sense of security. A powerful warmth that helped soothe the pain.
They were all together again, and this already felt like a victory in itself.

In a time of great prosperity, a tyrant king sent his son to live among the people and learn their ways. He did so for many years, until a great calamity befell the kingdom.
In the aftermath, the tyrant's son was changed. The tyrant's son turned away from his father, and became a warrior. The tyrant chased his son across fields and mountains and oceans.
He said, "If I can't have my son, then no one shall."
In the end, the tyrant used his son's love of the people against him. He promised him a miraculous technology that could rebuild the kingdom. When his son came to claim it, he unleashed a plague upon him. His son was destroyed.
And the tyrant looked upon his tyranny and wept.

theory time: what unites all the students at nevermore academy?
tw: death, violence, blood, all the bad & sad stuff.
Tumblr media
considering that nevermore academy is a kind of purgatory, there has to be a reason why it holds such a small number of people. in this realm must be plenty of places where different people, united by one characteristic, end up after death. this was also confirmed by the authors.
for a long time now I've been following the theory that all the characters of "nevermore" are united by the way they died. namely, they all were murdered.
almost from the very beginning of the story we were aware that annabel lee was murdered. the same thing was stated in the latest chapters too.
Tumblr media
ada was clearly also brutally murdered by the nobleman she loved. the poor girl's body was probably never found. I'm afraid no one really looked for it though.
Tumblr media
recently we also learned that duke didn’t just drown. his magical performance was sabotaged by a person unknown to us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the cause of pluto's death was not specified in detail, but I'm inclined to believe that he was strangled by his tyrant father (and my baby felt a huge relief, I'm crying).
Tumblr media
berenice was hit by a car, but I'm pretty convinced that it counts (?), because she was running away from a bad person. especially if we take into account the story of the poe's character with the same name.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh, and I almost forgot about montresor, although there have been a lot (too much) of him lately. well, he was thrown under a train. not much to add.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the only people who stand out from the general pattern so far are prospero and eulalie. eulalie died in a fire. the exact cause of prospero's death is unknown to us, but with a high probability it was caused by some kind of disease, presumably the plague. however, I wouldn't rush to write these two off. the fire could have been the result of arson. not necessarily for the sake of killing poor eulalie. but in any case it's a deliberately arranged action. remember, in the eyes of the public, duke's death also seemed like an accident.
and the final chord of prospero’s life could have been, for example, not the disease itself, but a medical “mistake” during the surgery or something like that.
phew, feels really nice to finally have a platform to share some thoughts! and what do y'all think? it'd be interesting to read your theories.

Villain: The Hollow Lords
Though their reign was long thought ended, this circle of skeletal tyrants have returned from the dark depths of history to conquer the ream once again. Their awakening heralded by a tide of destruction and plague meant to destabilize the land and seed it with corpses to make up their army of undead.
Something is wrong with this story though, details that don't match up, an unknown will at work behind the actions of the lifeless villains. Whatever threat they may pose, an even greater danger pulls the strings of the hollow lords, a danger the party will confront all too soon.
Adventure Hooks:
Before they awaken, the hollow lords should be woven into the campaign as an innocuous background detail, a threat from a previous millennium which defined the heroes of that era. Forgotten today outside of festival traditions, old monuments, and the standing alliances between kingdoms, This sets a standard against which the party can measure themselves.
Scenario A sees the Hollow Lords emerging in the party's own realm, a wave of inexplicable disasters paving the way for the rise of an emerging threat just in time for our heroes to enter a new adventuring tier. In this instance it's about preventing the disasters from spreading/ the undead from establishing their foothold across a land the party has just finished journeying across. Our heroes will be stretched thin, People they know are going to suffer, and deliberate choices will need to be made about what they can save. Looking into the history of the lords only raises more questions, namely that many of them emerged from graves belonging to people who were born and died centuries after the original Hollow Lords were vanquished.
Scenario B has the Hollow Lords as an established threat, ruling over a Mordor like kingdom of darkness either bordering the party's own homeland, or being the party's own homeland if you want to get bleak about it. After our heroes defeat their first of the villains they receive a strange invitation, another of the Hollow Lords has broken partially free of whatever enchantment binds them and is pleading for help. If the party are willing to take a gamble, this rogue undead is willing to use all its dread power to aid them if they can figure out a way to put it to rest for good.
Though each was mighty or powerful in their own right, there was no unholy conspiracy that connected the Hollow Lords during their living years, at-least not on their part. Instead they were all called back to the mortal plane by a veiled necromancer who had some invisible claim on their soul. Stripped of their will, they were forced to act on behalf of this faceless puppeteer, allowing whoever it was beneath the skullmask and robe to carve out a kingdom while remaining in the shadows. Most troubling of all, those one or two Hollow Lords that were around for their first attempt at world domination also remember the veiled necromancer, speaking of a conspiracy centuries in the making.

I Hold The Tyrant's Heart - By Nobena (8.5/10)
Tumblr media
Exile. Freaky mass memory loss. In this one a clingy prince grows into an even clingier Emperor. It's interesting because the way the plot unfolds makes you sad. Our protagonist is plagued by memories of her past life, and the man who loves her can't get through to her. No matter how hard he tries. His mental health suffers as a result.
Eucenielle Haldrant is unintentionally cruel. She was born into a loving family. She's half elf so she's strong and healthy forever. Her parents are a famous love story, and her adorable little sister admires her. She's got lots of friends.
Tumblr media
She's pretty.
She's great with a sword.
Her family has been living in exile for 14 long years, because of her, and they don't resent her. They know the Prince's obsession was never her fault. When Eucenielle was 6 the Crown Prince started clinging to her excessively. He constantly wailed about wanting to marry her. It got so bad that he started using his authority to push her friends away.
This is a great yandere story, because the adults have brains. They saw and noticed his aberrant behavior.
Eucenielle didn't think much of it. Tes was a crybaby and she indulged him while she researched magic.
Tumblr media
Eucenielle does love her family. She cares for Tes too, but she wants to go to her real home. Eucenielle is in deep denial. She knows she was stabbed. She died in a Korean hospital, next to her crying mother. That mother loved her too. That mother isn't a perfect elf. She was a single mom. She needs her daughter, and she was a wonderful mother too. Eucenielle wants to return to her side, but it's hopeless. It's clear that her other body is already dead and buried. Eucenielle doesn't even notice how crazy Tes is, because she has nightmares about her screaming mother every day.
Tumblr media
Tes is really pathetic. He's jealous of everyone around Eucenielle. He starts to abuse his authority from a very young age. He follows Eucenielle around too much. He ignores his princely duties and parties to do it, and when he is forced to attend prince things he just screams for Eucenielle.
He is a scary child, but he was also kind and open with her. She didn’t mind his company. Only the adults knew how bad his attitude actually was.
Tumblr media
The former Emperor was forced to send Eucenielle into exile. Eucenielle was innocent, but Tes was starting to get worse.
Eucenielle kind of wants to hate Tes, because his attitude inconvenienced her family. Her innocent parents and sister did not deserve exile.
Tumblr media
It's such a mess. By the way the former king and his Empress had a loving relationship. He was devoted to her and they ran the country harmoniously. The only problem was their crazy first child. The Empress eventually had another son to replace him, because he was a lost cause. The Empress wanted to bring in a bride from her extended family, but Tes refused his mother. He caused discord in the royal court. He was with Eucenielle so much it make the Empress look weak.
He refused to do his duty.
Tumblr media
Tes ends the exile after 14 years of blood and more madness. He has more magic than his father. He started erasing memories. Nobody questions him now. He has prepared the perfect palace for Eucenielle, but he doesn't even know she wants to leave.
By the way the fiance the Emperor and Empress chose for him is still around.
Tes immediately throws the poor girl into the dungeon when Eucenielle returns.
Tumblr media
He's too affectionate. He's too much. Eucenielle rejects his proposal again. She asks for mercy. She doesn't think Lady Lily Shyen she die. She'd feel insecure too, if her fiance was so clearly uninterested.
Tes holds Lily hostage to get attention from Eucenielle multiple times. He really is crazy. This is not a light yandere story.
He has too much magic, and he can see people's souls. Eucenielle looks human to him, possibly because her soul is from Korea, so he will never let her go.
Tumblr media
Lily's brother, Noss, is interested in Eucenielle. Eucenielle officially rejects Tes like 8 times, so he asks her to be his partner. She says yes, because she needs a guide after 14 years up north.
Tragically, Noss is killed by Tes.
Nobody understands the Emperor. Not even Eucenielle. She has some feelings for him, but she hasn't given up on her original mother. He can't reach her. He has usurped his family. He has become a tyrant. He permanently changed his hair and eyes to her favorite color, but he still doesn’t have her heart.
Eucenielle seems like a reasonable person. I really don't know if she'll forgive Tes for executing an innocent man who dared to have a crush on her.
I don't know how this will end. Eucenielle will have to give up on returning, because it's clear that her other life is long gone.
