AI-Driven Manufacturing: How Data and Human Intelligence Are Shaping 2025
Tumblr media
Manufacturing is going through a major shift. By 2025, smart factories won’t just be a concept, they will define how production happens. This change isn’t just about automation; it’s about using real-time data, AI, and human expertise together to improve manufacturing processes.
The Power Behind Manufacturing
Factories today generate large amounts of data from IoT devices. But raw data isn’t enough — it must be turned into useful insights that improve production.
Better Process Control: Advanced analytics and edge computing help make real-time adjustments. For example, in metalworking, AI can analyze tool vibration and temperature, helping set the right cutting speed and feed rate. This can extend tool life by 20% and improve surface finish by 15%.
Predicting Quality Issues: AI doesn’t just find defects — it can predict when a problem might happen. In semiconductor manufacturing, AI models can spot wafer defects with over 95% accuracy, reducing waste and improving output.
AI: Working Together With People
AI is not about replacing workers — it’s about making better decisions and improving production.
Smarter Robots: AI-powered robots can adjust to different part sizes and shapes, reducing downtime and making production more flexible.
Helping Workers Solve Production Issues: AI systems gather data from various sources, allowing operators to detect and resolve production challenges more quickly.
AI in Product Design: AI-driven design tools can create and test product designs faster, making products stronger, lighter, and easier to manufacture. This is already being used in the aerospace and automotive industries.
Skilled Workers: The Backbone of Smart Factories
Even with all these advancements, experienced workers remain crucial in smart factories. AI and robotics support them, ensuring smoother operations and better results.
Working With Robots: Cobots (collaborative robots) handle repetitive tasks, allowing workers to focus on complex and skilled operations.
AI That Supports Workers: AI systems now explain their suggestions, helping operators understand and make better decisions.
Ensuring Factories Secure and Reliable
With more connected systems, cybersecurity and supply chain risks are growing. Manufacturers need to focus on security to keep operations running smoothly.
Stronger Security Measures: A ‘zero trust’ approach ensures that only authorized users and devices can access factory systems.
Protecting Machines From Cyber Threats: AI-powered monitoring systems track industrial networks to spot unusual activity before it causes problems.
Supply Chain Stability: Data analytics help manufacturers identify risks and build stronger, more flexible supply chains to avoid disruptions.
Manufacturing in 2025: Smarter, Faster, and More Reliable
By 2025, factories will be connected systems where data, AI, and skilled workers work together to improve production. Success will come from using technology wisely, investing in workers, and keeping factories secure. The future of manufacturing isn’t just about automation — it’s about making production smarter, more flexible, and ready for the challenges ahead.

do not forget about reservations.
do not forget about the people on reservations.
when you are making and reading posts about dire predictions for quality of life, do not forget about reservations.
we already have issues accessing clean water. we already experience devastation from climate change. we are already going missing for our race. we are already being murdered for our culture.
it will only get worse.
it’s possible to live through. every single person indigenous to north america has a chance to live through this. i’m not trying to fear monger; i’m trying to remind you.
please do not forget about us when you assure people that “everything will be okay; people are living under far worse circumstances in other countries”.
people are living under far worse circumstances here. and it can get worse. and it will get worse. and we need you to remember that we’re here when it happens.

worst fears
synopsis: one piece characters worst fears in a relationship feat: straw hats (luffy, zoro, nami, usopp, sanji, robin) + ace and law warnings: angst + slight spoiler for ace's past notes: i honestly was a bit stuck for law's part so bear with me PLEASE also yeah not me finally posting things after ages sorry pookies
Tumblr media
luffy
losing you.
LUFFY'S worst fear is that when worst comes to worst, he won't be able save you when you need him the most.
although he always tries to protect you, LUFFY has experienced losing loved ones before because he wasn't strong enough, and he never wants it to happen again. he loves everyone in his life so much, especially you, and never wants to lose them. but what if one day he slips up and the cost is losing you forever?
zoro
not being able to protect you.
ZORO'S unwavering loyalty to those he cares about means that he has made it his sworn mission to protect them at all times. in fact, that's practically his main role in the crew - to protect everyone from danger, so he believes he has to always do this right.
he works hard to protect those he cares about, and would never be able to forgive himself if he let something happen to you or was too late to protect you from danger.
he can't predict the future and he can't guarantee your safety at all times, and he hates it. he knows how unpredictable life is and that anything could happen at any moment, which makes him scared of what could happen to you.
nami
being powerless when you need her the most.
NAMI knows what it's like to have no one there to save you or protect you when you're in pain, suffering or in danger. thankfully, she found her way out thanks to her friends, but what if she can't help you?
when it comes to someone she cares about, she can't just rest easy when they need help because she hates seeing those she loves in pain. despite what people think, she would be ready to go above and beyond for someone she loves. she wants to do whatever she can as soon as she can to help you, and she fears that something could happen and make this impossible for her to do.
usopp
being replaced by somebody else.
USOPP wants to believe that he's just the guy you need, but he can't ignore his insecurities that tell him that he's useless and weak all the time. and this feeds into his biggest fear when being with you.
while you don't have an issue with his flaws, to him, his 'negative' qualities and weaknesses mean that he is easy to abandon. he feels like you being with him is just holding yourself back from something - or someone - better.
his worst fear is that you'll have had enough of the 'weak' parts of him, and that one day, you'll get tired of him and just replace him with someone else.
sanji
being a burden to you.
SANJI doesn't just love you - he practically worships your entire being and sees you as flawless and capable of no wrong. he sees you as someone who deserves only the best and nothing less. in comparison, he sees himself as someone who deserves basically nothing.
although you offer warm smiles in his direction and constantly assure him how much you care about him, he can't possibly understand how you could ever love a 'failure' like him.
he hates himself for thinking it, but he sometimes is afraid that your feelings are just fake or out of pity for someone like him. his biggest, worst fear is that he's just a burden to you and someone you're wasting your time on - and that and one day, you'll let him know it by just leaving him for good.
robin
you giving up on her.
ROBIN'S worst fear, in a way, is a little similar to sanji's. she doesn't want to be a burden to you because she can't forget how she was treated her whole life. people around her treated her like a nuisance and a monster just for her existence and where she came from, making her feel like she had nowhere to belong.
it's something she's been trying to unlearn ever since joining the crew, and she knows it's not very likely, but her worst fear is that you won't see her as someone worth fighting for, protecting, or loving anymore. instead, you too will see her as someone who doesn’t belong anywhere.
she's afraid that you'll see her just as how everyone has in her past - a devil whose existence only brings trouble to everyone.
ace
you stop loving him.
ACE has always felt like love is something that needs to be earned, especially for him. sometimes, he can't even believe how lucky he is to have someone like you - someone who doesn't care about the blood that flows in his veins because you know that doesn't matter to who he is.
however, his biggest fear is what happens if that love diminishes for good. he's afraid you'll start to be remember who he exactly is - the son of the world's biggest criminal, the pirate king himself. he's scared that you'll find him a nuisance to be associated with, and stop loving him altogether because of it.
law
disappointing you.
LAW knows that he isn't very openly affectionate and that he struggles to show his his feelings at times, making him appear closed-off and cold to others. although he does know that he really and truly loves you - his worst fear is disappointing you in the relationship because you may feel like he doesn't.
he knows what a healthy and loving relationship is supposed to look like and how other people show love, but he's afraid that he'll fail you by not being able to give you that. he hates the thought of letting you down when you deserve so much better than he is.

🌟📅 Astrology Observations 🌟📅
Note: This post fits both Western and Vedic system. Take what resonates and leave the rest. One placement or aspect cannot say much and the whole chart has to be analyzed to know further. Lemme know in the comments if any of these hit home!
People with 8th lord in the 2nd house talk in a way that they withhold certain parts of the information to add mystery and that's what attracts people towards them. If you ask a normal person about a horror movie they watched, they would be like, "Yeah, that was good. The actress who played that role was terrific" or something like that. If you ask someone with 8th lord in 2nd house, they be like, "Damn! you know what, there is a scene where the child just stares at her mother in confusion and I felt something inside me and I can relate to that, you know? I can't describe that in words." or something to that extent is the kind of answer you would get from these people. They use words like "can't describe or express in words" at times.
People with the 8th lord in the 5th can't keep a secret. The 5th house is the digestive system. They can't digest things and would definitely share them with others, either intentionally or in a casual flow of speech.
People with the 8th lord in the 3rd house gossip a lot, especially about their friends, neighbors, siblings, etc. They would pick on your flaws and would tell your secrets to others who don't know you in person.
People with Sun in the 12th seem to be energetic in the evening than in the morning. I've seen in cases where these natives hate the Sun and are drawn to the moonlight. They shine brighter during the evening, and their mind become as fresh as a freshly-picked apple during nighttime. Most of their ideas (the good ones) happens to hit them during the 6pm - 6am timeframe. Can be hypochondriacs as well. These natives are the ones to Google symptoms which always end in cancer or death. Also, these natives browse on incognito mode.
Darakaraka is the lowest degree in your birth chart which is used for marriage predictions, and you all know that already. Since it has the lowest degree in your chart, it's the planet (along with where it's placed) that has the least effect on your life, until marriage, since you hide/ ignore/ reject these parts of yourself. That's the reason DK is the kind of spouse you attract, since you don't seem to face that part of yourself. You spouse will embody the qualities you rejected/hid/ignored in yourself.
You can be married already and still not resonate with your DK planet, 7th house/lord, any spouse-related things. The thing is, astrology shows the "destined one" for you. You can be married and divorced 3 times and still not resonate with it. Why? It shows that you haven't chosen the one the Universe picked for you. Let's say you are divorced twice and married the third time. This time, everything spouse-related in your chart points to the person you are married to, and yes, that's the "destined one" for you.
Saturn as Darakaraka generally mean that you and your spouse would be inseparable, doesn't matter if you both fight or are lovey-dovey in your life. Saturn shows long-term commitment and doesn't automatically mean "forever". I've seen in charts of married couples where one of them has Saturn as DK, either they stay through thick and thin forever, or divorce after 15+ years. Saturn as DK would give your married life a minimum guarantee of 15 years and it depends on other positions whether you would be getting a lifetime guarantee or reaching an expiration date soon.
Lilith in 5th house people are prone to attract bad friendships or attract the wrong crowd of people. People tend to project their own issues onto these natives and can attract envy/jealousy from fellow women (if they're a woman too). Their own kind is their enemy and would drag these natives down to the mud. Make them feel like dirt, bully them, etc.
Chiron in 1st house people are usually born through a c-section or their birth involved some complications to their mother.
Chiron in the 7th house people might even be afraid to get married or their parents would have been divorced when they are a teen.
Moon in the 12th house people has sleep issues. Some even become alcoholic to drink away their depression and some might take anti-depressant pills. Master of hiding their feelings and opinions in order to fit in. Either intense attachment to mother or detachment towards mother. Mother might have been divorced or you're the one who would provide financially for the mother. Expenses related to mother.
7th lord in the 6th points towards an enemy to lovers type situation. Alternatively, 6th lord in the 7th is like your spouse is your enemy in your past life and in this life, you made a deal to live with them and that's how it's written in ancient Vedic texts lol. In the former, your spouse might be your biggest enemy or the one who costs you lot of expenses. In the latter, you might feel you're indebted to serve them in this lifetime like spending alot of money on your spouse, taking care of them, etc and having a lot on your plate.

it's cool that undertale.wiki and deltarune.wiki exist as independent websites but since they're relatively young forks of a pair of fandom wikis they're still like. basically just fandom wikis in terms of the quality of the writing. the biggest issue I keep running into is how much baseless speculation is in these articles and only marked with words like "implied" or "possibly". (predictably, everything related to gaster gets hit with this the worst.) we'll have to wait and see if they ever clean that stuff up?

predictions for each Rising

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ᡣ𐭩 Please support me by reposting, liking, following me. From the 25th of May 2025 to September 1st 2025 (where saturn will station in mercury retrograde) and will become direct once again 27 November 2025, till the 13th of April 2025.
With saturn in aries, saturn will force you to build new foundations, and confronting fears related to independence and bold action. This period will challenge us to be more accountable for our individual drives and to find a mature balance between initiating new ventures and ensuring their long-term viability. Expect to learn valuable lessons about leadership, self-reliance, and the true cost of pioneering new paths.
Aries Rising - Saturn's transit through your first house of self and identity will be a profound period of redefinition. You may feel a significant pressure to solidify who you are, potentially leading to an "identity crisis" as old ways of being are challenged. This is a powerful time for self-mastery and reinvention, as Saturn encourages you to take responsibility for your life and build a more solid foundation for your future self. You'll learn to balance impulsivity with patience and strategic action, leading to a new, mature confidence. If you were born with Saturn in Aries, this is your Saturn Return, a pivotal period of adulting and making firm commitments.
Taurus Rising - will experience Saturn's influence in your twelfth house of the subconscious and hidden matters. This transit encourages deep spiritual growth and healing, calling you to go inward and confront your shadow side. Old patterns of escapism or avoidance may come to the surface, demanding to be addressed. While this can be a solitary period, it offers a chance to release fears and build a strong spiritual practice. By the end of this transit, you can emerge feeling more whole and ready to spread your "new, healed wings."
Gemini Rising - Saturn will be in your eleventh house of friendships, community, and aspirations. Your social circles and group connections may undergo a significant review, with some relationships feeling strained or karmic. You may need to prune your social circle, choosing quality over quantity. This is a time to solidify your long-term goals and choose meaningful alliances. You might be called to leadership within groups, taking on more responsibility. By releasing unhealthy connections, you make room for those who truly support your aspirations.
Cancer Rising - will feel Saturn's weight in your tenth house of career, public image, and destiny. You may feel intense pressure to succeed professionally, and recognition might not come as easily as you hoped, with every misstep feeling public. The road to achieving your goals might be steep and solitary, with delays feeling like failures. However, this is an excellent period for career advancement and building a solid reputation. If you're willing to play the long game, what you build now can define you for decades. You'll learn to take responsibility for your ambitions and step into leadership roles, even if it requires hard work and patience.
Leo Rising - will experience Saturn in your ninth house of higher learning, travel, and belief systems. Your beliefs may be challenged, and previous worldviews might crumble, possibly through disappointing teachers or systems. The way forward might not be obvious, and traditional avenues of expansion may feel restricted. However, your greatest growth will come through broadening your horizons. This is an excellent time to pursue advanced degrees or engage in structured learning. You'll learn what it truly costs to live your truth and build a more resilient and meaningful philosophy of life.
Virgo Rising - Saturn transits your eighth house of shared resources, intimacy, and transformation. This is a period for getting your financial house in order, with issues around taxes, wills, insurance, and inheritances potentially requiring your attention. You'll be encouraged to confront your relationship with vulnerability and power dynamics in intimate connections. This transit offers a chance for deep financial restructuring and psychological healing. By addressing these areas, you can set yourself up for a more secure future and develop a healthier approach to shared resources and intimacy, learning to navigate complex emotional and financial territories with maturity.
Libra Rising - Saturn in your seventh house of partnerships and relationships. Your one-on-one connections will be highlighted, and you'll be asked to consider the health and responsibility within them. You may face challenges in finding true reciprocity and give-and-take, with discussions around commitment and boundaries becoming intense. However, this is a time to build more committed and dependable partnerships. You'll learn to establish clearer boundaries and ensure your relationships are balanced. You'll seek long-term stability and won't be interested in casual connections, leading to deeper, more mature bonds.
Scorpio Rising - Saturn moves into your sixth house of health, daily routines, and service. You may feel pressure to restructure your daily life and become more disciplined with your health and routines, potentially involving addressing long-standing habits. Work responsibilities might increase, or you may face challenges in your work environment. This transit provides an opportunity to build healthier habits and a more organized daily life. You can become more efficient and productive in your work. It's a time to take responsibility for your well-being and establish sustainable routines that support your goals.
Saggiatrius Rising - will experience Saturn in your fifth house of creativity, self-expression, and joy. You might struggle to find time for hobbies, dating, or creative pursuits, and your sexual energy may be lower. There could be delays or challenges related to children, and joy might feel risky, with creative expression feeling blocked or like hard work. However, Saturn in Aries encourages you to develop a more mature relationship with joy and creativity. You're asked to create and love without expecting instant gratification. This is a time to carve out dedicated time for what truly brings you fulfillment and to be disciplined in your creative endeavors, leading to more lasting and meaningful expressions.
Capricorn Rising - Saturn transits your fourth house of home, family, and foundations. You may face increased responsibilities within your family, potentially needing to care for aging family members or deal with structural issues in your home. Some Capricorns might move to a longer-term home, which could come with its own set of challenges. This transit helps you solidify your home base and family foundations. You can create a more stable and secure living environment. It's a time to embrace your responsibilities within your family, leading to a deeper sense of belonging and inner security.
Aquarius Rising - will have Saturn in your third house of communication, learning, and local community. Communication might feel like a battlefield, and you may struggle to express yourself without being too blunt or moving too fast. Relationships with siblings or neighbors could become sources of stress. You're being asked to pause before speaking and to listen more effectively. This is a period to refine your communication skills and take your mental health seriously. You'll become more assured in your educational, writing, and public speaking abilities, and you can form deeper connections within your local community by practicing thoughtful and disciplined communication.
Pisces Rising - For Pisces rising, Saturn moves into your second house of personal finances, values, and self-worth. You may feel a strong urge to get your finances in order, pay off debts, or improve your credit score. You might initially feel a sense of scarcity, even if you are earning well. This transit encourages you to reconsider your outlook on wealth and self-worth. This is a prosperous cycle for establishing financial security, but it requires discipline and a reevaluation of your values. You'll learn to manage your resources more effectively and develop a stronger sense of self-respect and self-worth, leading to long-term financial stability.

Nanami Kento was a smart man.
You knew that.
He was smarter than most, and it was a fact that you had accepted since that very first day you bumped into him at the physics research conference you had been dragged to.
You had listened to his every word as he presented his findings to the sea of other academics in that dilapidated hall at Oxford. Every single word. And yet, all you could ever recall about his symposium was how gorgeous he looked when he explained his process. ‘He must be one of Canova’s secret projects.’ you remember thinking to yourself while he was answering questions from the crowd.
Yes, he was breathtaking to look at. But his mind was even more captivating. It was what made you fall so hard for him, marry him, and bear his child.
In fact, you corrected yourself, he was more than just smart. He was a visionary. You confirmed that hypothesis the day he correctly predicted that your unborn baby girl would grow up to be a rather talkative individual.
He says she takes after you. You say he can foretell the future.
Not only was your little chatterbox never silent, but she was also never lacking an interesting fact about the world that she had only joined three years ago.
You blamed that on your husband’s habit of reading ridiculously smart books to her. Books that some academics wouldn’t even consider reaching for at the library.
Those two traits of hers had never been much of an issue, quite the opposite. It just meant the Nanami household was hardly ever quiet. You and Kento could never have guessed that she would weaponise those qualities against her father so early on.
“Papa, no. Form of matt-uh, Papa. Form of matt-uh.” Her braided pigtails swished back and forth as she shook her head at him derisively. As if the loud correction alone wasn’t enough.
Nanami was stood on the large hardwood stage of the conference hall. The silence was loud as he froze stunned at his daughter’s interruption of his speech. It was such a small mistake—so minor that every other scholar in that hall had completely missed it. But, of course, Babymin could never miss such a detail. The hall erupted with laughter, and Nanami himself had to hold back the oddly proud smile that was itching at his lips.
His little genius had her arms folded proudly, and she sat atop your lap like it was her throne.
“Right, of course. Pardon me. Form of matter. Not form of energy.” Kento restated, after the audience had settled back down. The smile he was fighting back had won once he saw you hiding your own awestruck smile behind your hand, only after whispering a reminder to the rosy-cheeked toddler to ‘not interrupt Papa again’.
Kento didn’t mind at all, though. He adored it, actually. She was proof that the two of you had created perfection, and how could her Papa be against her revealing that perfection?
Thereafter, whenever he knew his little Einstein was going to be watching his presentations, Kento deliberately slipped in a little error, hoping to hear his daughter’s sweet voice pierce through the hush of the room to correct him once again—which she always did without fail.

Spouse/Partner predictions from your 7th House
Comment, DM, Reblog! Thank You!
The 7th House and its ruler, known as the 7th Lord (the planet governing the sign in the 7th house), play a pivotal role in unveiling insights into the nature of your spouse or partner. This house holds paramount significance in understanding your love relationships, shedding light on the dynamics and compatibility with your significant other.
Mars: When Mars finds its place in the 7th House of your natal chart or influences a sign ruled by Mars—namely, Aries or Scorpio—the characteristics of your partner come into focus. Expect a companion who tends to be short-tempered, making impulsive decisions. Ego issues may surface, and a heightened sense of self-esteem could be evident. The partner may easily get provoked, displaying an aggressive nature and a penchant for spicy foods.
If the sign ruled by Mars is prominent in your 7th House, it's crucial to examine Mars's placement in your chart for additional insights into your partner's qualities. For instance, if the 7th House is Scorpio and Mars resides in the 3rd House, anticipate a partner with excellent communication skills, marked by a sharp and direct style. While the short temper persists due to Scorpio's influence, the emotional nature allows for quick calmness. Additionally, interests in profound sciences and opportunities for sudden gains might characterize their pursuits.
Understanding the nuances of Mars's influence on the 7th House provides a nuanced perspective on your partner's temperament, communication style, and potential areas of interest, contributing to a comprehensive overview of your romantic dynamics.
Venus: Now, shifting our focus to Venus, the 7th House's influence by the planet of love and harmony unveils distinct qualities in your spouse or partner. If Venus graces your 7th House or rules the sign within it—Libra or Taurus—you can anticipate a partner with a refined taste, a love for beauty, and a charming demeanor. This placement often signifies a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing relationship. Your partner may excel in the arts, have a fondness for luxurious experiences, and radiate a captivating allure. Their approach to love and relationships is likely to be gentle, diplomatic, and marked by a desire for balance and fairness.
However, the specific placement of Venus in your chart adds layers to these attributes. For instance, if your 7th House is Libra, and Venus resides in the 10th House, your partner may embody qualities of charm and sophistication in their professional endeavors. Alternatively, if your 7th House is Taurus and Venus graces the 5th House, your partner may express their creativity and love for pleasure in playful and entertaining ways.
Understanding Venus's influence on the 7th House not only provides insights into your partner's romantic inclinations but also sheds light on the elements that contribute to a harmonious and visually appealing connection.
Saturn: Now, let's delve into the influence of Saturn on the 7th House. When Saturn governs this pivotal house or resides in a sign it rules—Capricorn or Aquarius—the characteristics of your spouse or partner take on a more disciplined and serious tone. Expect a partner who values responsibility, commitment, and stability in relationships. They may exhibit a mature and composed demeanor, approaching partnerships with a pragmatic mindset.
Saturn's influence can also indicate a considerable age gap between you and your partner, or it may suggest that your partner possesses qualities associated with wisdom and experience. In a positive light, this placement signifies a steadfast and enduring commitment. However, challenges may arise, calling for patience and a long-term perspective in navigating the intricacies of your relationship.
Examining Saturn's placement in your chart adds depth to these insights. For example, if your 7th House is Capricorn and Saturn resides in the 4th House, your partner may prioritize a stable home life and family. Conversely, if your 7th House is Aquarius and Saturn graces the 11th House, your partner may bring a sense of responsibility and structure to your social circles and shared goals.
Understanding Saturn's influence on the 7th House provides a profound understanding of the qualities that contribute to a durable and enduring partnership.
Mercury: Turning our attention to Mercury's influence on the 7th House, this planetary alignment provides insights into the communicative and intellectual aspects of your partner. If Mercury graces your 7th House or rules the sign within it—Gemini or Virgo—expect a partner who values intellectual connection, effective communication, and analytical thinking in relationships. Your significant other may possess a sharp wit, enjoy engaging conversations, and excel in problem-solving.
The specific placement of Mercury in your chart refines these traits. For example, if your 7th House is Gemini, and Mercury resides in the 9th House, your partner may express their intellectual pursuits through travel, higher education, or philosophical discussions. Conversely, if your 7th House is Virgo and Mercury graces the 2nd House, your partner may bring a practical and detail-oriented approach to financial matters within the relationship.
Understanding Mercury's influence on the 7th House adds layers to your comprehension of the mental dynamics within your partnership, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and shared intellectual pursuits.
Moon: Now, let's explore the impact of the Moon on the 7th House. When the Moon governs this house or resides in a Moon-ruled sign—Cancer—the emotional landscape of your partner comes into focus. Expect a partner who is deeply attuned to their emotions, values familial connections, and seeks emotional security in relationships. The Moon's influence may manifest as nurturing qualities, intuition, and a desire for a close-knit and supportive bond.
Examining the specific placement of the Moon in your chart refines these insights. If your 7th House is Cancer, and the Moon resides in the 8th House, your partner may bring emotional depth and intensity to shared resources and intimate connections. Alternatively, if your 7th House is ruled by the Moon and it graces the 5th House, your partner may express their nurturing qualities through creativity and interactions with children.
Understanding the Moon's influence on the 7th House provides a nuanced understanding of the emotional undercurrents within your relationship, emphasizing the importance of empathy and connection on a profound emotional level.
In unraveling the cosmic tapestry of your 7th House and its planetary influences, you gain a richer understanding of the multifaceted nature of your spouse or partner. Each planetary alignment contributes unique qualities, shaping the dynamics of your relationship in intricate and profound ways.
Jupiter: Moving forward, let's delve into the impact of Jupiter on the 7th House. When Jupiter governs this house or resides in a Jupiter-ruled sign—Sagittarius or Pisces—the qualities of your spouse or partner take on expansive and optimistic hues. Expect a partner with a generous and jovial spirit, a love for exploration, and a broad-minded approach to relationships. Jupiter's influence may manifest as a quest for knowledge, a love for adventure, and a philosophical outlook on life.
Examining the specific placement of Jupiter in your chart adds depth to these insights. For instance, if your 7th House is Sagittarius, and Jupiter resides in the 6th House, your partner may express their expansive qualities through service and a commitment to well-being. Back in 2021, @writerbuddha wrote this amazing post where he interweaved Lucas' words in his meta post defending the Jedi. I'd like to take a page out of their book and start a 4-part series of posts on Anakin. Here we go! Here's PART 2 and PART 2.5 !
In George Lucas' words: The Fall and Return of Anakin Skywalker
- Episode I -
Episode I exists to show us that Anakin Sykwalker makes it into Jedi school, becomes free, and realizes his dream. But in the process, he has to go through a lot of painful sacrifices.
When we meet Anakin, he is a young slave boy who dreams of becoming a Jedi. Lucas makes it a point that, he’s a really wonderful, angelic little kid.
Tumblr media
This is intentional. The reason George started the story where he did. He played with having Anakin start out in his late teens like Luke, or age him down to twelve-years-old. The problem was that a twelve-year-old leaving his mother - as Anakin does - is not nearly as traumatic as a nine-year-old leaving his mother. And there is a key story point that revolves around the fact that he was separated from his other at an early age, and how that has affected him.
The whole point of Anakin’s arc in the Prequels is that Anakin is a normal, good kid. And how does somebody who is normal and good turn bad? What are the qualities, what is it that we all have within us that will turn us bad?”
Tumblr media
Well, Anakin has some flaws - and those flaws ultimately do him in. Those flaws are hard to see in Episode I, but they are there. He’s cursed by the same flaws, and issues that he has to overcome, that all humans are cursed with. There's a lot going on there.
Tumblr media
In Episode I, we see that there are a lot of parallels between Luke and Anakin. In Episode IV, Luke does struggle with his commitment to his uncle and his commitment to a larger destiny. His heart is to go and go off on this adventure, but he's caught in his obligations to the mundane, so to speak.
Eventually, Anakin takes a different road than his son takes, but it’s been set-up for you to almost expect that they will go— that Luke will follow in his father’s footsteps. Once again, these are issues that Anakin, Luke, and anyone can confront.
Tumblr media
After all, once he liberates himself through a Podrace, Anakin is confronted with the fact that he will need to leave his mother, Shmi, behind. Shmi is caught in a struggle. She loves her son, but she wants a better life for him and has to let him go.
So she does. Right off the bat, the first movie shows Anakin’s mother display a type of selfless love - which Lucas refers to as “compassion” - that Anakin will only really be able to learn in the last movie.
Tumblr media
Now, when they get to Coruscant, Anakin needs to be tested to allow him to be accepted as a Jedi, eventually. Because he has the powers… but as Yoda points out, there’s a lot of fear in him, and anger. That’s why they actually deny him the chance to become a Jedi. But it’s also - when they relent later on - it’s the thing that ultimately begins to describe some of his downfall.
Tumblr media
In theory, the child should have been trained by Yoda until he was about seven or eight years old. And then when he was seven or eight, he'd be given a Jedi, he'd become the Padawan learner to a Jedi.
But Qui-Gon wants Anakin to skip the early training and jump right to taking him on as his Padawan learner, which is controversial, and ultimately, the source of much of the problems that develop later on.
Tumblr media
It is obvious that Qui-Gon is wrong and made a dangerous decision, but ultimately this decision may be correct. Anakin is indeed the chosen one.
That doesn't mean that the Council's prediction is wrong. The tale meanders and both the prediction and Qui-Gon are correct. Anakin will be taken over by dark forces which in turn destroy the balance of the Galaxy, but the individual who kills the Emperor is Darth Vader— also Anakin, who brings peace at last with his own sacrifice.
Once Qui-Gon dies, ironically enough, it’s Obi-Wan that has to train Anakin and take care of him and take over the responsibility that Qui-Gon has started. The Jedi Council let Anakin in and they make him Obi-Wan's Padawan.

BONUS: How George describes Obi-Wan's initial thoughts on Anakin
Throughout the film, Obi-Wan is at odds with Qui-Gon, who rebels against the Jedi rules. So when he meets him, Obi-Wan does not trust Anakin. He’s not a big fan, he has a suspicion, this initial skepticism toward Anakin which is why Lucas didn't want to overplay the scene where they first meet.
Tumblr media
He’s like the reluctant elder brother saying, “You’re not leaving him with me. I don’t want to babysit anymore, I want to go out and do something good.”
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan disagree about using what one would call in mythological terms "the guide." One believes in the guide. The other one doesn't. Obi-Wan’s argument is that taking on characters like Jar Jar or Anakin with them on the trip is “going to slow us down. This is not a wise thing to do.”
Tumblr media
It's a classic mythological motif but at the same time, it's conflict. The characters have to grow so what happens is that eventually the character that is very much against doing this has the obligation transferred to them.
So by the end of the film, Obi-Wan has become Qui-Gon, by taking on his rebellious personality and responsibilities.
Tumblr media
Obi-Wan commits, and tells Anakin that he’s going to train him. He has character and takes responsibility. Han Solo would’ve left him out on a desert planet somewhere.

x : AVOIDANCE :*+゚
in which: falling for blade was not on your agenda, so naturally you decide to distance yourself. however, the last thing you'd predicted was blade being upset with the sudden space.
warnings: 2.3k wc, FLUFF, ooc!blade probably bc i'm still trying to figure it out, kafka meddles with the two of you, gn!stellaron hunter!reader who has a past lol, NOT PROOFREAD, idiots in love bc i love that trope, bad writing
a/n: thank you to the anon who gave me this idea :D much appreciated, i had a lot of fun with this one when my angstier fics were draining me af. i hope you enjoy, apologies if it's a little low quality, but it's my child <3
Tumblr media
when you first joined the team of stellaron hunters, you didn’t expect to get much out of it, especially since the team looked so cold, calculating, mischievous, and unforgiving, greeting you with vicious smiles and muddy eyes. preemptively, you assumed the most you would receive is acquaintanceship.
however, time has proven you wrong, because on the contrary, you have found comfort, friendship, and stability in the form of this mismatched group.
you never expected to find love either.
but you did, and it might be the worst decision your heart has ever made.
“y/n, there you are. kafka and i are thinking about going out to lunch. want to join?” silver wolf’s voice interrupts your train of thought, disrupting your peace in your private spot amongst the gardens.
“oh, hi silver wolf,” you murmur, shutting your book after shoving in a bookmark. “who else is going?”
“kafka asked blade and he agreed.”
the genius hacker doesn’t notice the way you tense upon hearing a certain swordman’s name. instead, you play it cool by opening up your book again, scanning the pages in hopes of ignoring the racing of your heart.
“i think i’ll pass on this one. thank you though,” you mutter.
“really?” the silver-haired asks, popping her gum before shrugging. “whatever you say. i’m off!”
“bye!”
hearing her footsteps fade, you slump in your seat, your memories with blade hauntingly eminent in your mind. you don’t recall when you fell for him, or why exactly, all you have in your recollection is a series of moments that you look back fondly upon with a full heart, love slowly seeping in to you and causing your affections to grow to the size that they reside at now.
when you had realised, the love had already grown too big to deflate, and dejection struck moments after; a big bang of butterflies in your stomach that all disintegrated straight after.
how brutal- perhaps this was an indication that blade was rubbing off on you too much, and you need to cleanse yourself of his influence.
love, although fickle, was not something that you avidly rejected. despite having lived like a hunted deer, your experiences have been fleeting, building your delicate heart for a life of meeting, falling, then leaving when you least wanted to, needing to run before an arrow pierced you- and certainly not cupid’s one.
but with blade, everything is different. there is no arrow to run from, not in the life that elio has foreseen for you. for the first time in your life, you can stop running away and try fall into the arms of love with little remorse.
it's just ironic that you fall into the arms of a man who should not be touched.
“y/n’s not coming with us today,” silver wolf reports after meeting up with the other two stellaron hunters.
“oh?” kafka hums, “usually y/n’s always willing to hangout, why’s that?”
“busy or something, i don’t know, i didn’t care to ask.”
the slight scrunch of displeasure in blade’s expression passes by the keen eyes of both kafka and silver wolf. if either of them had noticed then perhaps it would have been a topic of interest, but for the time being, the pair move on (faster than the third member), your unusual absence dismissed in favour of where to get food.
as the days turn into nights and elio issues more missions and mumbles more futures, blade feels as though he sees you less and less.
it’s not intuition more than it is you purposefully ignoring and evading blade in your everyday, though.
“good morning,” kafka’s voice greets when she walks in to the cafeteria, where you were eating breakfast alone. setting down your phone, you regard her with a mouth full of bread. “gross. at least swallow first.”
“screw off,” you murmur. “how did you sleep?”
“fine fine, i woke up in the wrong position though and my neck is killing me, but what about you? seems like you’ve been up a while.”
“i’ve been up since asscrack of dawn.”
the purple-haired regards you with amusement. “why’s that?”
“body clock or whatever,” you lie, staring down at your glass of water.
“i see,” kafka hums half-heartedly, as if seeing right through you. “well, i’m going to get some coffee, i’ll be right back.”
“mk.”
you’re left on your own for only a few minutes, waiting patiently in silence for kafka to return. the morning is cool and pleasant, and the smell of rain is still heavy in the air as the morning dew lightens the atmosphere. the weather will surely get hotter as the day matures, but for now, you enjoy the gentle caress of sunlight on your back.
or rather- you were enjoying the gentle caress of the sun, but the methodicalness of it all is ruined when you spot a certain figure with dark, long hair beside kafka.
suddenly the last thing you know is peace and calm, and the abrupt, painful scraping of your chair against the floor symbolises that.
“going somewhere?” kafka asks.
picking up your scraps, you avoid blade’s gaze. “yeah! i- uh, realised that i have some documents to drop off for elio by twelve or whatever.”
“won't you stay to keep us company for breakfast,” the purple-haired tempts, “it feels like it’s been so long since we’ve spent some proper time together.”
“has it?” you laugh nervously and kafka easily picks up the pitchiness of your tone. “i’ll make it up soon, i promise, i’ve just been overflowed with things to do.”
“alright. you be off then. don’t work too hard.”
“i won’t. my head is remaining tight on my shoulders, don’t you worry!” you reassure before scrambling away, feeling like your legs could not be any slower as you retreat away from blade’s scrutinising gaze. when you round the corner, you sigh a breath of relief.
it’s laughable and simultaneously admirable how dedicated you are about dodging every interaction possible, but for the record, you think you’re doing quite well. not that space was doing many favours for your heart, but persistence is key.
whoever believed that distance makes the heart grow fonder just clearly didn’t try enough, because yours feels like it’s about to hammer out of your chest with how fast it is racing, and the sensation is equivalent to something like pain rather than fondness.
“i’m worried,” blade mutters, gaze lingering on where you’d just disappeared. “and why does y/n talk like i’m not right here?”
“aww, are you upset?” coos kafka, taking a seat. the swordsman mimics her.
“why wouldn’t i be? it feels like y/n has been ignoring me as of late.”
kafka hums thoughtfully, swirling her coffee cup around.
“do you know anything about that?”
“nup. nothing at all,” she answers, feigning ignorance to the many suspicions that are bubbling around in her mind. the last thing kafka is, is blind, your unusual behaviour has not bypassed her perceptive eye at all, but she believes she has uncovered the reasoning as to why; said reasoning being a certain swordsman.
the revelation is definitely interesting, and she might just be able to give the push you both need.
“y’know what, bladie? if it concerns you that much, i’d say you go check up on y/n later,” kafka suggests.
“why not you?”
“i’ll be busy, but i think some support in dire times is just what y/n needs.”
“okay. fine.”
when blade gathers the courage to check up on you, like kafka recommended, the time is nearing 5pm. the sun is beginning to cool, the animals are retreating into their nests, and the big, bad, intimidating stellaron hunter is roaming around the archives, where you’re situated to work, hoping to locate you.
it takes a few laps around to finally find your placement because you’re fast asleep, only identifiable to blade by the jacket you hung on the back of your chair.
the sight of you hunched over your desk over a multitude of forms and papers causes a wave of concern (however much he can feel) to wash over blade, and suddenly, he does something completely foreign to him: dote over someone.
gently lifting your jacket to cover your shoulders, he stills when you shift a little, your eyebrows furrowing in your sleep. deciding to leave you alone, all blade spares is one lasting look at your vulnerability before leaving.
he wonders what it is that could be making you so frustrated.
(if only he knew).
a few days later, kafka confronts you about the suspicions that’s been creeping to the forefront of her mind.
“did you do something to piss a certain bladie off?”
kafka’s saccharine voice is laced with mischief as she leans towards you, chin resting on the palm of her hand. she certainly does not miss the way you tense up at the mention of the swordsman’s name and her smirk widens when you shuffle away, subconsciously turning away, as if avoiding the subject.
“i can’t think of why i would have,” you murmur, crossing your arms. “why?”
“oh, nothing, he’s just been complaining and crying a lot recently.”
“he does that all the time.”
“so he does,” your fellow stellaron hunter hums. “except he’s mentioning your name a lot more nowadays.”
you freeze. “what?”
“hm? did i say something peculiar?”
inhaling a deep breath, you steady yourself. you know what kafka wants out of you and you’re not going to give it to her despite how innocent and pretty she spins the web to look. after all these years together, you hope to have learnt a thing or two about how to avoid her snare.
“what is blade saying about me?” you quiz.
she blinks at you. “why so curious if you haven’t done anything?”
“can i not ask about something that involves my name? besides, he’s my friend, i want to know what he’s saying,” you lean against the back of the couch, trying to calm the involuntary shake in your legs. you despise that the slightest mention of blade can cause a bottomless pit to form in your stomach and it’s not because of how intimidating or threatening he is.
no, it’s because you’ve fallen for him, hook, line, and centre.
and blade would have to die before you ever tell him.
“mostly just grumbles about wondering where you are,” kafka expands, waving her hands about to match her words. “he asked silver wolf and i if you’ve been talking to us and when we said ‘yes’, he looked pissed! when i asked why he was being a sourpuss, he just stormed off.”
“so temperamental, that man,” she sighs. then, she looks back at you with those half-lidded eyes that have always gotten her what she wants, and in this case, they’re answers. “so tell me, y/n, what did you do to our bladie to have him all riled up like this?”
“nothing. absolutely nothing.”
“are you sure?”
“positive.”
“positive?”
you avoid her curious gaze. “positive.”
“maybe i phrased the question wrong. has bladie done something to you instead?”
panic settles within you. “no,” you lie through your teeth. “he hasn’t.”
“so if i asked you why you left breakfast so abruptly that day, you wouldn’t say that it’s because of him?”
“i had work to do, kafka, you know how busy my job gets.”
“i know, i know,” she persists, “then why weren’t you in a hurry before blade arrived that morning?”
you don’t know how to refute that, letting silence speak volumes instead.
“and why did you skip out on lunch with silver wolf and i? was it because we also invited a certain someone?”
“okay! fine, you’ve got me. what do you want to know?” you explode, tossing your phone on the couch in frustration.
“so it is about blade?” questions your coworker.
“yeah. it is.”
“what about him? did he do something to hurt you? you know he’s accidentally mean sometimes-”
“it’s not that, he’s nothing but a sweetheart.”
“so what’s the problem?”
“that is the problem! he’s just… he’s him.”
“is that bad?”
“for my heart, yes.”
“oh my- so you like him?”
you exhale exasperatedly, “don’t act like you haven’t already figured that out, kafka.”
the cheshire smile she then flashes sends shivers down your spine. for whatever reason, an oppressive feeling grows in your gut, resembling something like a warning.
“you’re right, i knew,” she flaunts. then, her gaze cuts to look behind you. “but i don’t think blade did.”
your heart lurches out of your chest with enough force to pull you off the couch and you stumble around to see that, lo and behold, blade was indeed standing in the hallway. the expression he wears tells you enough; he heard you, he knows.
kafka somehow sneaks her way out of the room, leaving you alone to deal with the face of rejection. it’s daunting being in the same space as him after so long, you almost forgot about the intimidating pressure that blade naturally exudes and projects in every space he enters.
“hi,” you start, looking away.
he stalks over to you, footsteps soundless before stopping a feet in front of you. instead of saying something, the swordsman merely gazes down at you whilst you keep your eyes glued to the side.
“can you reject me already? the silence is kinda killing me,” you snap after a few seconds, crossing your arms protectively.
instead of obeying to your request, blade does something completely unexpected; he very gently lifts your chin with his hand, and red eyes bore right into yours. is it odd to feel seen in your demise? because blade is looking- no, surveying you with such immense focus and clarity that your heart stills, frozen in position because it wants him to see the most picturesque part of you.
(he sees it, but he wants to know more of you. the pretty, the ugly, the likeable, and the unwanted.)
“would you like to go on a date?” he asks.

Wishlist! - Headcanons for WinBre Week!
Tumblr media
ᯓ what are the furin boys putting on their wishlist this year? ᯓ characters; sakura haruka, suo hayato, sugishita kyotaro, mitsuki kiryu, kaji ren, umemiya hajime, hiragi toma, togame jo ᯓ tags; just plain platonic headcanons
[🐟]: for day 5 - holidays prompt! @windbreakerweek
Tumblr media
Sakura Haruka
"Ehhh? No... I don't want anything..."
He's only saying that because he'd feel like too much of a burden knowing someone might go out of their way to get him a present.
But he's like the easiest person to give a gift to because he will appreciate anything you give him. Hell, the fact that you even thought to get him anything is a gift in and of itself.
Although, he'd prefer something that isn't super expensive.
Wishlist: a new blanket, coupons for omurice, another pair of shoes (pls get our boy a new pair of shoes)
Suo Hayato
"Oh? A gift? How thoughtful of you."
Not really choosy when it comes to gifts either. He's probably hella rich and has everything that he wants already, so gifts are like a kind gesture to him if anything.
Although, he prefers gifts with meaning over ones that are practical.
It's because he can buy the practical stuff, but he can't put in meaning into things that he buys for himself.
Wishlist: rare tea leaves, lucky trinket, calligraphy brush (a hobby he picked up recently)
Sugishita Kyotaro
"For me? Why."
Doesn't really think about gifts, both in the sense of giving and receiving it.
But if you give him one, he'll be over the moon. Doesn't matter what it is really. He's similar to Sakura in this regard.
However, his issue with gifts is that he doesn't know how to react when he's given one. Is a thank you enough? Should he get them a gift too? He's so overwhelmed. Poor guy...
Wishlist: a small plant for his room, a plain shirt, Ume's approval (he's been told you can't put things like this on a wishlist, but he got mad)
Mitsuki Kiryu
"Yippee! You're the best. Thank you so much."
He likes to joke about stuff that he likes to receive. Also jokes about not needing gifts because his fangirls already give him more than enough.
He judges gifts based on aesthetic appeal rather than its practical use. He doesn't care if its useless as long as it'll look good on him or in his room.
I just know this dude has the best reactions when given any gift. Even if he has experienced it soooo many times, he'll make you feel as if he's so thankful for it each time.
Wishlist: gems for the game he's playing, a cat charm, a hamburger phone case (so he can alternate between that and the hotdog phone case)
Kaji Ren
"Wha? What's the occasion? Well, thanks. I guess..."
Super adamant about not wanting to receive any gifts. He says he's happy enough to have loyal friends by his side. Honestly, he's just scared to get emotional if the gift ends up being too good.
Gifts from close friends hold more value to him regardless of what the gift is.
It's pretty easy to predict the things that he would like...
Wishlist: a box of lollipops, a new hoodie, a year's worth of Spotify subscriptions (me too actually sob)
Umemiya Hajime
"Whaddaya know? I also have a little something for you here!"
It actually puts a bit of pressure on you to find Ume the perfect gift because he is THE GIFT GIVER. It's like he always knows what everyone would love.
A really simple guy. Even quality time is considered a gift in his eyes.
Ume prefers gifts that aren't the usual kinds of things you'd buy from the store, so stuff like handmade gifts, home cooked meals, and letters are his favorite things to receive.
Wishlist: a new trowel for gardening, a shirt that says "Tomato Dad", a dinner party with the entire Furin student body (awww)
Hiragi Toma
"Thanks. I'll make sure to use this."
He's like an old man, so gifts that are practical are is preference. His eyes go wide when the thing is multi-purpose and a steal for its price.
He's also the type of person to preserve gift bags to use for another time. Although, he has definitely gifted back to a person using a bag given to him by that same person before...
A big believer of the saying, "It's the thought that counts."
Wishlist: stomach medicine... lots of it, hair gel, perfume/cologne (I JUST KNOW HE SMELLS GOOD)
Togame Jo
"Aww, this for me? You didn't have to."
Nonchalant as fuck when receiving gifts, but trust me, he is sobbing inside. He's so happy someone thought of him.
Also prefers practical gifts, but it hardly matters. As long as you got him something, he'll be grateful for it.
He won't admit it but he enjoys the moment of unwrapping the gift. Even better if it's wrapped neatly and with a bow on top. Kame's not sure why, but he just loves that part.
Wishlist: food foood fooooood, a new pair of sandals, fancy shogi set (to show off to the old men he plays with lol)

Just curious on your opinion on this: Do you think twst's writing in terms of storyline/plot and overall characterisation of the characters has gotten better or changed in any way over the years? Or would you say it's stayed relatively the same? Or maybe varied?
***Disclaimer: Everything I say in this post is just my opinion and is NOT me imposing my views onto you or insisting that my views are superior. Nor in no way, shape, or form am I demeaning those who enjoy the things I did not or did not enjoy the things that I did. Me not personally liking certain books or events is also NOT me dismissing any characters’ experiences or trauma.
Let’s remember to remain respectful.***
<_<
>_>
*leans into the mic*
Look, I love Twst and all, but I also think that Twst's writing quality has proven to be pretty inconsistent and is actually painfully mediocre most of the time.
Tumblr media
When I sit down and really think about it, the main story has 3 books I actively dislike. That's basically half of the main story, seeing as book 7 is so darn long just by itself. Even if I minimize my own bias, there are just objectively bad narrative decisions made in many places, such as setting things up and not letting them get proper payoff later, obvious plot holes, or going for 100+ parts without allowing two major characters in the book to appear.
(I go into more detail about how I personally rank the books here. Here is also a graphical depiction of that ranking yes, I am breaking out the charts:)
Tumblr media
Book 7 was especially egregious… It has its monstrous length as well as the tonal whiplash, inconsistent pacing, lack of urgency, and overexplanation of the dreams that take up a good 2/3 of the book. So much was happening and yet so little also happened.
(Here’s how I feel about the major story points in 7:)
Tumblr media
In terms of events, I'd say they improved how they're organized over time. In the very early events, Twst failed to separate stories into Episodes like they do now, meaning you'd just get one long stream of story (ex: Beans Day II is 39 parts) instead of it being broken up into more easy-to-digest chunks (ex: GloMasq has 5 Episodes, each ranging from 15-19 parts). Hometown events also took on a predictable formula, with Episode 1 being the set-up to venture elsewhere, Episodes in the middle dedicated to exploring the area, and then Episode 5 having the crew resolve some minor issue. However, this doesn't always mean the pacing of events is good. For example, Stage in Playful Land Episode 3 has a paltry 11 parts whereas Episode 2 has 21, which is almost DOUBLE the length of Episode 3.
Many events have nothing of real importance or excitement happening (Tsumsted Wonderland, Lost in the Books, Master Chefs/Culinary Crucibles, Sam's New Year Sales, etc.) or mainly involve eating food and souvenir shopping (looking at you, hometowns). The events that are good do something unique and does it well (or at least is funny) OR actually advances a character's development/growth. Because so many Twst events are middle-of-the-road, it makes the few solidly written events (like Glorious Masquerade) stand out. We remember these solid instances more strongly as a result, which then projects over the other events (which were mid) and boosts them in our minds.
(Here’s where the events stand relative to one another:)
Tumblr media
Vignettes have more liberty with character writing because most of them are not canon to the main story. Sometimes characters regress into their old ways (Epel going back to his pre-book 5 personality is pretty guilty of this), but that's usually fine since I treat vignettes as essentially "what ifs" or transitive periods of growth between major story beats. I like that vignettes are oftentimes very mundane and can take their time to explore the unique relationships and dynamics between the boys. It often feels like so much other stuff is happening that we don't get to slow down and just... enjoy the boys as they are.
Looking at the overall trend lines, it unfortunately looks like Twst is, as I suspected, hovering around the “could be better” to “okay” range in most cases. When Twst does well, it’s great. (To this day, I still believe GloMasq was peak for Twst and no event since had topped it.) When Twst fumbles, it fumbles HARD. (Playful Land and book 2 infamously have many plot holes.) But when Twst is mid, it’s… well, absolutely unremarkable 😭
I think the issue for me is that Twst tries to be ambitious with its stories but has limited success in executing those stories. Maybe it’s the fault of limited budget or assets (as a mobile title and not a console title), maybe the writers just aren’t that skilled, maybe it’s a time constraint or not a lot of research done, whatever.

you said you think gay sex cats is the new duchamp's fountain. i dont disagree and i kinda see what you mean already but please elaborate
it was a silly and tongue in cheek way to say that a lot of people are getting mad about it in a way that implies reactionary views on art, and that there's no way to say gay sex cats isn't art that wouldn't also imply that the fountain isn't art. a funny meme image is a funny meme image, but it is also funny to overthink and recontextualize them as art.
and the reaction makes the comparison even more apt. neural net generated artworks are anonymized mass produced images, vast majority having no artistic pretension or meaningful content such as a thomas kinkade painting. gay sex cats was made with no intent to be art, but the discourse it has with audience reaction and its appropriation in derivative works make it so. why is gay sex cats not art if people talking about it negatively allow it to be called art? is art only things you find beautiful and valuable? if so, what is value and beauty, and how do you draw the line? if gay sex cats was still ai generated but had more "aesthetic qualities" would it be art? if someone copies the original image by hand with all its ai generated faults where is the value generated? does the original still have no merit of its own, even after appropriation as a digital ready-made?
but the main reason as to why gay sex cats is comparable to the fountain still is because it made a lot of people with bad takes on art really really mad. and that the pissed off tags wouldn't look out of place as reaction to modern art in the 1920s. art is a flat circle
EDIT: well. putting an addendum because in retrospect more people took either or both the op and image in face value and much more self serious than ever intended. a lot of people understood the tone i was getting at, and i still stand by the questionings i added on, but still for clarification. the original comparison is not serious. it's self evidently ridiculous to compare a meme image to a historically significant artwork, the comparison was only drawn because they were both controversial to an audience, who reacted denying their status as respectively as an image and as art, and that it was funny that the negative reaction people had to the original image explicitly denied its status as art, even if the meme never had pretension to be art, so it was funny to draw a comparison and iterate on that.
i did think it was valid to bring in questionings about art and meaning because that's the reaction i saw most and wanted to make people think about the whys, and that also i do not think it's valid to base your dislike on ai art on either grounds of questioning its position and value as artwork, or even as a question of ip theft. regular degular handmade art can be soulless, repetitive, thoughtless, derivative, unethical, open and blatant theft, and much more, and that does not make it any less of an artwork. neural nets are tools that generate images by statistic correlation through human input.
the unambiguous issue with neural nets in art is its use as a tool by capital, to threaten already underpaid and overworked working artists and to keep their labor hostage under threat of total automation. in hindsight i regretted not adding the paragraph above as it was a way in which people could either misinterpret or assume things about me, but hindsight is hindsight and there's no way to predict how posts would blow up. so shrugs. i had written more posts in my blog that elaborated on that because asks would bot stop coming. and i think my takeaway is that people will reblog anything with a funny image without reading the words around it, or even closely looking at the image.
