How would some of the RoR Characters react to Teen!Reader participating in the UA Sports Festival?
Lmao I can imagine Raiden just screaming "KICK THEIR ASS!" during the battle royal part
Return of the wooly sheep reader!
-Your family was so large that they got their own section in the stands and you had been so happy, beaming brightly to see that they had all come to cheer you on for the UA Sport’s Festival.
-Tesla and Beelzebub cheered for you using your quick to easily cross the gorge using physics, Tesla cheering, “That’s my girl!!”
-You had crossed the finish line thirteenth overall, qualifying for the cavalry battle, teaming up with your classmates with you top on top, as you were the smallest.
-Adam had sent glaring daggers to your teammates, all boys, which they felt while some of the others, Shiva, Zeus, and Hades, were telling the boys to not drop you, or else.
-Raiden was the loudest cheering for you as you grappled with a bigger boy than you, locking hands with him, but his cheering got louder when you head butted him, sending him flying off, his headband clenched in your fist, “Did you see that! I taught her that!! Go Y/N!! KICK THEIR ASSES!!! HEADBUTT HIM AGAIN!!”
-Your teammates couldn’t help but laugh at your enthusiastic family, finding them amusing as Brunnhilde called out battle tactics to you, trying to help your team.
-By the end of the calvary battle, your headband had been taken by Deku, but you weren’t really bothered, but your family was, jeering at Deku before you pouted up at them, “You be nice to him!”
-This, however, caused panic in your family, worried that you had affection for the green haired boy, which you assured them wasn’t true.
-Adam put his hand on your head, fluffing up your fluffy hair even more, “So… do you have affection for anyone here?” his eyes were narrowed in a glare, ready to throw hands with a teenager and they all stared shock, some in horror, as you turned, holding your cheeks with a faint blush, “He’s not participating this year, since he’s an upperclassman.”
-Darkness surrounded several of your family members, Adam included, as they heard that you liked someone older than you.

A unique Southeast Asian-inspired Fantasy setting, with an emphasis on martial arts as a background for war drama and violence, from a Philippine-centric view. Garudas fight against unglu. Martial artist warriors master the Principle of Cutting by meditating upon the teachings of the Violent Bodhisattva. Rituals and superstitions must be performed or else risk the wrath of the ancestors. Vast kingdoms arise with God-Kings at their helm, claiming to be Shiva-Buddha incarnate. You and your warband stand at the center of this violent mandala!
A corresponding narrative system made to help play out war drama in this setting, along the veins of Final Fantasy Tactics, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Malazan, Tigana, Game of Thrones, and Tactics Ogre!
Want to try out the Thundering Tactics Battle System that fuses modern narrative sensibilities with D&D4e style tactical combat and wargaming dice pools. The Turn Order is known as the Rhythm, and you don't activate a unit; you fulminate a fighter. The game heavily relies on terrain abilities and emphasizes movement, especially with it's 3-Beat System, which lets you do 3 Actions per turn (some actions might cost more than 1 Beat!)
A Discipline System inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics Jobs, Digital Devil Saga's Mantras, and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne's Magatama. Mix and match your Techniques! Change Disciplines with a single Downtime Action! Be a Death Dancer that heals with alchemies, or a Tigpana (Spiritual Archer) that rides upon a crocodile!
A narrative system wherein describing or doing dangerous and cool things is encouraged, as that is how you get Thunderbolt Tokens, which let you dictate your fate. This same narrative system prioritizes 5 Approaches instead of Abilities, in the vein of L5R, with each approach based off of the 5 Elements of Gubat Banwa's natural philosophies and esoteric tradition.
Said narrative system comes with a baked in Honor system that interplays with Debt, which is how you get others to do things for you. And NPCs can accrue this same debt, forcing you to follow them. If your Honor ever falls below 0, you must play a new Kadungganan!
An enemy system that allows for Solo and GM-less play! Roll an Enemy's Gambit Dice to find out what actions they do when they Fulminate. Adapt and act accordingly, make for dynamic fights!
Event tables and generators for every possible thing you might encounter while journeying in the Sword Isles, to fully immerse and play in its cultures! As well as Lore to fulfill any questions you might have.
Finally, baked in is the starter adventure: The Sword Devil. So you can jumpstart your games!

Heyyyy so about that pjo/batfam au.... I love it.
I wonder if any of the bat kids are legacies or half bloods? Like, they'd be ripe for urgent adoption and training, given the inherent risk of monsters! Not to mention the specially bred deep rooted battle/hero instincts. Would only some be half bloods? Any? How would that affect the dynamics, to have some (or just B) be aware of and able to interact with this whole secret world complete with monsters hidden in plain sight?? There's got to be tons of secret pjo resource stashes like different metals, foods, weapons, armour hidden everywhere hehe.
Ooh, would a bat kid ever have accidentally eaten ambrosia/nectar (or gotten close) without knowing what it is? Is Alfred a legacy?? A satyr?!! That'd be so so cool. (and it'd be an explanation for how long lived he is lmao)
If the batkids were all legacies/half bloods, who would be who? Would there be a mix of greek/roman? Is Bruce aware of the Egyptians or Norse lot?? I'm so curioussssss
ooo okay so the batkids! i explained it like... a year ago (jeez) in this post but here's the basic rundown:
Bruce: Athena (three parents, complicated situation)
Dick: Hermes (three parents, uncomplicated situation)
Babs: mortal, clearsighted, not The Oracle but calls herself Oracle
Jason: Nemesis (still working this one out)
Cass: Shiva/Nike, raised by David Cain
Tim: Bellona/Janet (who is a legacy of zeus)
Steph: Apollo
Damian: Legacy Athena/Hades
Duke: normal ("normal") meta but everyone up to and including Apollo thinks he's Apollo's kid
-
There are definitely stashes of demigod resources! most of the stock is in the Batcave, but they definitely have stashes in all the safehouses. They're basically like any other resource- medical supplies, celestial bronze dagger, batarangs, smoke pellets, ambrosia, etc. Considering that celestial bronze and nectar/ambrosia are pretty rare, i doubt they're using them daily, but everyone definitely has emergency demigod equipment on them. I'm also making Gotham a Land Beyond Gods, a la Alaska in SoN, so there's less of a monster problem than other cities. Gotham kinda like the trash dump of the demigod world- all the weird fucked up stuff ends up there for our intrepid heroes to get chased by.
-
Most of the Batkids are aware of who they are, eventually! Bruce, Cass, and Damian always know, Dick and Jason figure it out pretty quickly after living with Bruce, Tim figures it out himself before becoming Robin, and Steph only figures it out after she "dies" (poor guy). Bruce isn't very good with the Mist, and monsters aren't like, a huge problem in Gotham, so it's not really a big deal to them if they are/aren't demigods. Babs kept up just fine as a mortal, after all. Like i said earlier, ambrosia/nectar are in short supply in Gotham (bruce doesn't really have a consistent way of getting more besides through diana, who also doesnt really have a consistent way of getting more), so nobody's eating any by accident.
-
I have literally no idea what's going on with Alfred. I joked a while back that he's a minor god, which I'm not opposed to, I'd just have to work that one out a bit more. The satyr idea is fun and works really well, except imagining Alfred with goat legs and eating aluminum cans freaks me out and I don't know what to do about that. He could also just be a mortal blessed by [insert god here] to have a longer lifespan, or someone who made a deal with [insert god here] to be alive as long as Bruce/the Wayne family needs him. It'll be interesting to figure out, whenever I end up doing that!
-
Bruce and Co. are NOT aware of the other pantheons! As in, they are so unaware of the other pantheons that nobody can figure out who the fuck Tim's godly parent is. Bellona is on nobody's radar, everyone is split between Ares/Dionysus/Athena/????. They also haven't figured out he's a Zeus legacy, because his ancestor fled to Gotham during WW2 and then did their best to hide their heritage for their and their kids' safety. Poor guy doesn't know what the fuck is going on, basically. Bruce is actually pretty cut off from CHB, so he's not super up-to-date about the demigod world. He tends to focus more on the superhero side of things. His kids have varying levels of interest/affiliation with the demigods, but they're definitely not on the "first to know" end of news whenever things happen. It takes a hot minute for anyone to figure out the Romans exist, and considering that Percy and Annabeth try pretty hard to conceal the Egyptian and presumably Norse pantheons, we can assume the Batfam isn't aware of those guys for quite a bit after the Greeks learn about them.

The wrathful glare of Kali and the callous gaze of Medusa – the emergence of the femme fatale in the female psyche.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Legend of Kali
In Hindu legend, goddess Durka and her helpers, the Matri goddesses, slay the demon Raktabīja, only to find out that the stains of Raktabīja’s blood act like seed on soil as every drop manifests another duplicate of him. Durka becomes enraged and summons Kali, whom then proceeds to slay and devour Raktabīja and his legion of duplicates. She dances on their corpses and parades around with Raktabīja slain head in her hand, securing the droplets of blood through holding a plate underneath it, so as to prevent further bleeding on the soil. Motivated by her insatiable fury, Kali proceeds with the destruction of all else that crosses her path, but after stepping on the corpse of Lord Shiva, Kali is struck by embarrassment and remorse as her supressed superego is released from her shadow and brings her back to her senses. Lord Shiva’s has the power to liberate Kali from her fury as he is the transcendent Self. He is the benevolent patriarch, yogi supreme, yet also husband and father, suggesting the achievement of harmonious balance between wordily duties and that of holy men. His anima, being integrated, is neither possessing him nor is it plaguing him as a result of repression. He neither falls prey to the manipulative trickery of deceitful women nor does he view women as disdainfully inferior sexual objects.  Only he can liberate Kali from her all-consuming misandry and soothe her sorrows.
Shiva’s non-threatening benevolence makes itself known through the act of laying underneath Kali’s feet. Possessed by wrath, Kali has lost sight of that which is holy. Without recognition of the benevolent aspects of Shiva, Kali’s fury is bound to drown the universe in her flames, however, Durka’s initial intention behind the summoning of Kali was to defeat Raktabīja and his legion of duplicates, rather than bring about the destruction of the universe.
Durka and the Matri goddesses are at loss at Raktabīja’s lack of chivalry in combat and the injustice of his supernatural power. They are the modern-day women whom get harassed by demonic and demeaning men despite enforcing their boundaries. Such men seek to dominate through ridicule rather than reason. The lack of decorum in both combat and dialogue makes the summoning of Kali inevitable for a woman as all else has failed to shield her vulnerability from the malevolence of a demonic beast.
In recent memory, Raktabīja and Poseidon manifested themselves as Harvey Weistein and Jeffrey Epstein, powerful demonic beasts, seeking to preserve their authority whilst uninterested in the discontinuation of their predatory behaviour. The faith in the punitive power of the rule of law arrests Kali from flooding the consciousness of their victims, making Durka and the Matri goddesses persevere in a civilized manner, unlike the instance in which 200 Indian women, armed with vegetable knifes, stones and chilli powder stormed the court hearing of gang-leader and rapist Akku Yadav, dismembering his genitals with a vegetable knife, robbing him of his phallus through a vengeful barbaric act of literal castration, dead in a matter of 15 minutes, leaving his lifeless corpse daggered by kitchen knives on the white marble floor of the court, in an exhibition of gore galore, resembling the sublime beauty of a transcendent piece of art in the eyes of Kali.
Legend of Medusa (Ovid´s version)
In Greek legend, Medusa is the sole mortal among three gorgon sisters, depicted as a beautiful maid with plentiful of potential suitors, longing for the reciprocation of her attention. She is brutally raped in the temple of Athena by God Poseidon as a result of the rejection of his advances. Enraged by the desacralization of her temple, Athena curses Medusa, turning her hair turned into snakes, metamorphosing her into a monstrous form armed with a glare that petrified anyone who dared to meet her eyes.
As if Medusa hadn’t suffered enough, she was later beheaded by demigod Perseus. Many men had tried to behead her prior to Perseus, but all had been turned into stone at the sight of her petrifying glare. Perseus however, was clever enough to stare into the mirror moments before the beheading, instead of in her eyes. As he flew over Libya with Medusa’s decapitated in his hands, blood dripped on the soil and snakes sprout from the droplets. Medusa’s head is later gifted to Athena, whom attaches it to her shield, supplying her with the power of Medusa’s deadly glare in combat.
The legend of Medusa is one of horrific injustice and betrayal. After the violation of her person through the act of rape, her boss, Athena, does the unimaginable: curse her. The ancient equivalent to the modern-day slut shame of a genuine victim of rape. The horrors of rape alone didn’t metamorphize her hair into serpents, it was that the aftermath of her rape was followed by the ultimate betrayal by a deity she had bestowed with trust.
If Kali’s fury has lit her heart on fire, then Athena’s betrayal has frozen Medusa’s heart into ice. In Kali, the Nietzschean will to power is alive and striving, but in Medusa it is nowhere to be found. Medusa, as a beautiful maiden was pure, pure in the sense that she couldn’t conceive of the unfathomable betrayal of Athena, thus when it dawned upon her   hope in both humanity and divinity was lost. Anyone who’s superego isn’t as disturbed as that of Athena and Poseidon will be overwhelmed by their conscience upon meeting Medusa’s gaze. The burden of her victimization is a collective bearing for all to carry, reminding us of the consequences of vicious cruelty.
Every young boy has looked into the eyes of Medusa as their, otherwise loving, mother coolly hit them with the “I’m not mad, I’m disappointed,” remark. Such disappointment, from women, causes a man to cringe in an instinctive act of clenching the gut muscles.
In yogic philosophy, masculine consciousness is associated with fire and believed to reside in the solar plexus. One believes to be speaking figuratively when alluding to bravery as “having guts” but embodied bravery, is quite literally impossible without having a strong presence in the gut area.
The act of cringing is the act of shame as a biological reaction rather than an emotion. Medusa’s ice-cold gaze, cursing one to cringe in shame, is the true extinguisher of a man’s masculine consciousness, making him think twice before he acts next time, however since Medusa has lost hope in the redeeming qualities of man, there will be no next time, whomever meeting her gaze is doomed to freeze for all eternity. The many men whom attempted to behead her prior to Perseus couldn’t bear the collective burden of a restless conscience and thus instinctively attempt to rescue their phallus from the prospect of psychic castration through beheading the source of their restlessness. Such an act of profanity, is nothing short from foolish desperation, a last resort for restoring balance in one’s psyche, bound to fail from the get go, which is why all men prior to Perseus freeze to stone upon their attempted murder.
Perseus only finds success through looking in the mirror at the moment of execution, sparing his phallus from castration as his conscience remains unaffected, but his heinous crime is not without consequence as Medusa’s spilled blood sprout to life venomous serpents on Libyan soil. Medusa is Mahsa Amini, as the Iranian morality police seem to mistake the beauty of a woman’s hair for poisonous serpents. The serpents sprung to life by Medusa’s blood are the many Iranian women unleashing the terror of their liberated hair upon the morality police. Nothing terrifies fundamentalist Islamists more than the emergence of their own anima, as it becomes projected upon an enchanting woman.
Raktabīja’s blood stains produce duplicates as a reaction to fair female resistance, Medusa’s blood stains produce serpents as a reaction to horrific injustice and a cowardice murder. The moral of the story is that injustice and disrespect of self-assertion lay the groundworks in which mayhem may flourish.
Lastly, Athena attaching Medusa’s head to her shield is a ploy to harness the power of a victim’s hopeless disappointment and masquerade it as her own. Athena, despite being a deity, could impossibly freeze her opponents with her own gaze, as she created Medusa’s through initiating the destruction of her reputation. It is solely through a masquerade in which Athena cosplays victimhood that she can harness the powers of it.

hi hiiiii can I request a fic of clive x petite f!reader that's super timid anxious n shy, and overly sheltered and innocent to the point she acts childish and ppl sometimes mistake her for a kid? can't wield a dagger to save her life, would curl into a ball and cry if shit got bad, and the hideaway peeps would likely think of her as a load to carry but never admit it out loud bc they're good ppl
I see all these clive x reader fics where the reader is super confident, flirty, and a real bad bitch with a blade/magic/smth generally cool and like,, props to y'all sexy girlbosses out there but I've got no shame in saying I've got bad social anxiety and would realistically have a panic attack and go into shock upon seeing one (1) corpse. I need more rep for my softer damsel in distress girlies 🌸✨💞💫🌼
Oh I love this, we need rep for the damsels just as much as the femme fatales! (This anon also requested this be written for a plus sized reader!)
When Cid told you about his plans you freely offered your services. Sure you couldn’t fight, but you could very well act as moral support!
A resistance is only as good as its soldiers, and without basic necessities there was no hope of survival. Food, water, clothes, if you weren’t at the hideaway you were at the market restocking for supplies.
Even if you couldn’t fight you had a nose for a good deal, even Lady Charon was impressed by the haul you’d bring back at times
And you were such a sweetheart, always volunteering your time in order to maintain the hideaway
Perhaps it’s that loving nature that drew Clive to you in the first place.
You were no dominant, no soldier, hells you couldn’t even witness the sight of blood without being nauseous
But you made up for that in spades; your kindness, your willingness to help those in need
You may not risk your limbs against steel, but being a part of Cid’s grand plan meant that you were risking your life
And for that, Clive is more than grateful to have you by his side
Whether you believe it or not, you were risking your life just as much as anyone else here
You remind him that there is good in the world worth fighting for
Still, there is a small part of you that feels lesser for being unable to join in the action
You’re surrounded by talented fighters—Gav, Cid, Jill—the list goes on
Especially when it came to Jill, when stood side by side the two of you couldn’t be more opposites
A brave young woman who fought her way from slavery, dominant of Shiva, adept with a rapier
And then there was you, shy, timid, the sharpest thing you’ve ever held being a kitchen knife
But in those days of self-doubt Clive is there to ease the pain
Holding you close, fingers pressed into the plushness of your thighs, he helps you to free yourself of those nasty thoughts, he helps you to forget
And for that, you’re grateful to him.
Tumblr media
You scrutinize yourself in the mirror, twisting and turning to see every angle of yourself, that nagging voice in your head pointing out every flaw in your reflection. It picks at all your insecurities with pinpoint accuracy.
Too weak, too big. A burden on everyone here.
The voice is silenced when you feel the familiar comfort of his hands around your torso, slowly swaying you in his hold with his head in the crook of your neck.
“You’re doing it again darling.”
You take the time to enjoy the peace he brings you before replying, eyes closed in bliss. “Doing what, Clive?”
A gentle kiss to your neck, he then turns you around to see you in all your glory. His hands find rest on your hips, as if the soft skin was made for his touch.
“You doubt yourself far too much for my liking,” he whispers. “I can see it on your face.”
You don’t have the heart to deny it, so instead you bury your face into his chest, nearly purring in content when he reaches up to stroke your hair.
“You are perfect just the way you are,” he says. “And I’ll spend the rest of my life convincing you of that.”

Shiva/Snowflake ramblings
It’s been like 6 months since snowflakes finished. Talked a little bit about certain things but now I’ll blurt out more and probably end up repeating myself a little.
I made a post theorizing the origin of dust a long time ago as well as spoke about the topic briefly in a V6 review post. Nobody seemed to notice that luckily because it had the answer to what Diamond Dust was. I lived in fear for many years….
In the OC Test where everyone wore Halloween costumes, I had Summer dressed as Frisk with a knife because there was soul shenanigans happening with Dust.
In all my posts about Shiva, I never gave her a separate hashtag. They’re all under Summer’s name because all her actions and feelings were Summer’s.
I made a list of all my characters about they would survive Summer’s situation with Diamond Dust. I never eliminated before but their results were based off of how authentic they are to themselves as well as their self love/respect.
This was something I did for myself but I took every opportunity in questions for Shiva among other prompts to write her making ice daggers because I knew I was gonna write Nick getting stabbed with one.
In the first chapter I had Nick hug Shiva with his heated and use a fire glyph under their feet. The final battle outside ends with a bigger version of that and Vee.
The Wolf faunus they fought is obviously inspired by the big bad wolf, but her aesthetic and hair is just me having Roxanne Wolf brain rot after playing fnaf.
I spent a lot of time thinking of ways to get Veronica free falling so causally before her depressing monologue. My favorite one is in that same chapter where she jumps off the balcony to catch Val; because she gets to see what that looks like from an outsiders perspective. It’s also the only time Vee can’t bail, and actually hits the floor.
Originally I was gonna have Summer and Nick finally do their combo summoning to beat Shiva but I thought the discredited Summer’s ability to best Shiva.
Shiva was gonna make a ice “hell hound” of Dolt, their former dog, in the final fight. The chapter was already incredibly long though and my hands were cramping. It also meant dropping all pretense of what Shiva was because she wasn’t actually around when they had the dog.
If i were to make a sequel I’d know what it’d be about and kinda planted seeds with harsh weather and revitalized Dust being linked. It could be real problem if other people found Dust that are similar to Diamond Dust
Originally this story wasn’t this complex. It was a simple case of “you’re simply at odds with yourself” but everyone guessed that in an hour and I took that personally. 💀 which ballooned into me fleshing out the dust theory and adding a fragmented soul to it.
During the tournament fight Summer had with her channeling Shiva, I kept having her reach for her hip in confusion. The soul of who would’ve been known as Shiva was a pirate and her gun was on that side. I wanted to play with the idea of muscle memory or old habits in the same way I did with Oscar and Oz
Not really a fact but I’m happy that I found ways to slip in Penny making that bomb multiple times. As well as Nick getting in between Summer and a threat before the fatal moment.
Ruth was a one off character before I decided to not be a monster and expand upon Ruby wanting a family.
Summer’s white guitar with a black paw print in honor of Dolt was me being a little cheeky because by then I had decided her therapy puppy in the end, Dunce, was a Dalmatian.
Originally I wanted some of Val’s eternal struggle to come from the idea she might be Trans. I didn’t fucking trust myself to write that well enough so I scrapped it. I tried for like a year or two but I didn’t think it was any good,

The Demon’s Queen
Chapter Five
First <> Previous
Damian walked back onto the base covered in blood, not that that was anything new.  In his hands he held four jewels, three of them new to his collection.  The fight was far more difficult than he had been expecting, especially since he had not been used to the new strength and agility the bug had given him.  He wondered how many years of his life that one transformation had cost him.  The fight had been long and brutal, not helped by the fact that the cat user continuously tried to attack him during the battle.  He had to incapacitate him before he continued, stabbing the akumatized victim in their stomach before he could take the infected object.  He didn’t break it though, instead placing the bracelet onto his own arm, creating his own connection with Hawkmoth.
It took only a few moments for him to track the magical pull as his mother and grandfather had made him train with powerful magic users in the past.  While this was in fact a more ancient and sensitive kind of magic, there were a few tricks that never failed when it was connection based.
Hawkmoth tried to purify the butterfly himself, but the damage was already done.  Damian was quick to destroy and capture the butterfly, using both the absorbed dark magic and his own life to fix the city.  Once that was done, he made his way towards one of the many mansions that resided in the district entering through an open window that led to an empty bedroom that must have housed the man’s child.
With quick and silent footsteps he stalked the halls, waiting for the man to show himself.  There was no use in looking for him in every nook and cranny.  He had learned this from experience, it was always better to wait.  The sound of something rising filled the otherwise silent mansion, moments later the doors to a large study were banged open by the man of the hour.
Quick as the darkness of a simple blink, Damian was right behind him with his now unsheathed dagger against the man’s neck.  He had taken off the Miraculous causing him to be in nothing more than his league garbs.  No magic would be found here except his own if someone came looking.  He wouldn’t leave behind a trace of himself or anything that could lead a person back to where he had taken Marinette.  She was his possession now and no one else's.  \
“I’m afraid you have something that does not belong to you.”
He started calmly.
“I have no idea what you are talking about.”
The man said haltingly, trying to lean away from the sharp blade.
“I think you do.  It’s a small broach.  It can take the shape of whatever fits the user best to blend in.  You may also know it as a Miraculous.”
The man froze, a slight tremor in hands giving away his nerves.
“I don’t know what you mean.  I don’t know what you are thinking or trying to prove, but you have the wrong person.”
He growled out, eyes glancing to the side.  It was only a slight change in the air, but it was enough.  Damian quickly jumped out of the way as a lady in a peacock themed suit charged.
“So you have two of them.  I’m afraid I’ll be needing those.”
Damian declared, sheathing the dagger to rade for his katana.
“Not today.”
The woman called out definitely before she attempted to rush him.  Which of course did not work as he dodged away from her easily.  Her miraculous may have given her an increase in speed, but he had trained with the best of the best, and she was nothing compared to Lady Shiva.  Damian kept the middle aged man in his line of sight, watching as he transformed and unsheathed a jian from his cane.
The battle wasn’t very long, and truly he should have been able to beat the both of them with ease, Miraculous or not, but he had slipped and the man was able to shallowly cut his arm.  It stung, but Damian barely even noticed it as he continued his strikes.  Slash.  Clang.  Thud.  Then there was a scream.  Damian watched as his sword pierced the woman’s arm.  The sound caused the man to pause his attack and that was all the opening that Damian needed.  In one smooth motion he pulled the blade out of the muscle and thrust it at the man, letting it sink only a few inches into the soft flesh of his abdomen.  It wouldn’t hit anything fatal, the only way he’d die would be if he bled out, but that could be stopped if he got the proper medical attention on time.
“I will not ask again.  Hand me your Miraculi.  Now.”
Damian demanded, voice an imitation of the voice his grandfather would use to scare people to submit to his will.
He watched as the man slowly reached for his tie, red leaking through his white clothes like paint leaking through a canvas.  Slowly, despite the cries of the woman, the man removed the tie to show a purple broach.  Damian didn’t wait for the man to take it off with his slow shaking hands, taking it for himself.  He inspected the small thing and noticed a small opening.  He opened the small jewel to see a small picture of a woman with a soft smile with light green eyes and blonde hair.  He tossed the photo to the man before closing the broach and pocketing it, turning so that he could do the same to the peacock.
“Better call an ambulance, I’d hate for either of you to bleed out.”
With those parting words he disappeared into the night like the shadow he was, ready to take the ring of the cat now that both of his main threats were no longer an issue.
__________
Slowly Marinette made her way down the hall, her body aching from the training she had just endured from Maha.  She knew that she would have new bruises everywhere due to the amount of hits that she was able to land.  She never really had to worry about that when she wore her miraculous due to its protection and the Miraculous Ladybug’s healing magic.  She could feel eyes on her, always watching, waiting for her to slip.  It made her skin crawl.
Her next area was supposed to be near the dungeons, though she had thought of just heading back to her room.  But if her next trainer was anything like Maha…Marinette shivered at the thought.  As she walked a sudden coldness took over her as her hairs raised on the back of her neck.  She glanced to her side and almost paused in shock when the boy walked next to her.  He was facing forward, stride never faltering for even a moment as he continued down his path filled with a determined confidence.  Upon further observation, she noticed the red that trailed behind him, he was not wearing his cape, but the blood red of it was more preferable than the sight of actual blood dripping from his dark clothing.
Marinette opened her mouth to say something, get him to recognize her, but stopped herself.  If that blood wasn’t his, if he had just come from killing someone, she didn’t want to know.  Didn’t want his cold, empty gaze back on her.  So she continued, matching his stride down the halls till they reached what must have been some sort of medical wing.
“Tomoe, look at this for me.”
The boy demanded in his princely tone.  The woman appeared from out of nowhere–a theme she was starting to pick up on–and walked towards them.
“Was that supposed to be a joke, young master?”
The woman asked, her voice a gentle whisper that would be lost to the wind.  The boy didn’t respond, simply extending his arm for her.  Marinette watched from the sidelines as the woman approached the boy, her silver eyes glazed over shocking Marientte.
“Is this my new pupal with you?”
“Yes.”
The woman let out a soft hum, fingers expertly feeling out the wound after she removed the clothes covering it.
“You must have been in quite the predicament to have received such a wound.”
“Tt.”
“I see.”
It was silent after that.  Marinette watched in amazement as the woman worked.  She was almost the exact opposite of Maha.  She was all soft edges, her face round and pale like her own as she was from asian descent.  Her hair was a soft black, cut short in a simple bob cut.  Her robes were tighter than the other ninjas, clinging to her skin yet still allowed for flexibility.  And tied to her right arm was a ribbon.
Once she finished dressing his wound, he turned and left.  Marientte glared at his receding back, but he never stopped or faltered as he walked away.
“Join me.”
Marientte jumped at the voice, having forgotten that she was not alone in this strange area filled to the brim with plants and supplies.
“You must be better with your situational awareness.  Without it, you will die.”
She says, her voice gentle but void of emotion.  Another theme she was noticing about these people.
“Will you kill me?”
Marinette asked with a false sense of confidence.
“No, that is not my job.”
She said, placing the materials back onto the shelves.
“Then what is your job?”
Marinette asked wearily as she slowly approached the woman.
“I will teach you how to survive.  You will learn medicine as well as to make poisons and other toxins.”
She paused and turned to stare directly at Marinette.
“I am an assassin, a shadow, and you will be too.  The others will not go easy on you, and neither will I.  In the League of Assassins you either survive or you don’t.  The band on your arm will only protect you so much, so be ready.  This is the last nice thing I will ever say to you.”
Her voice was firm as she spoke, a determined ferocity that showed her experience.
“Now, let's begin.”

Hello there ! How ru today?♥️🫶🏼Can i request a Rudra / Hades /Qin , the reader is like Erza Scarlet , she can changes multiples armors at the same time and she's very strict with everyone but has a (huge) soft spot with their crush (them Rudra/Hades and Qin) . Take ur time♥️Take care of you and love u ! Have a nice day /night♥️🫶🏼
Thank you for your kind words! You're so sweet!
-Y/N, a fierce battle maiden in Valhalla, she was the one who trained the oldest valkyries in combat once they were old enough, and they in turn trained their younger sisters.
-You were admired all around Valhalla as one of the strongest warriors, not female warriors, but warriors in general, you could handle most of the gods on your own.
-Most gods not to anger you, as you were no holds bars if they pissed you off, Zeus was your biggest repeat offender, as he enjoyed seeing you mad, thinking you were attractive, but he didn’t like it when you got ahold of him and gave him the ass beating he had been begging for.
-When warriors, gods or humans, wanting a sparring partner, you were almost always willing to do so, unless if you were enjoying your afternoon strawberry cake with hot black tea, interrupting your snack time was a quick way to get thrown halfway across Valhalla.
-You were a unique warrior, as your styles could change with different sets of holy armor that you had spent hundred of thousands of years collecting.
-You were able to shift from your normal, everyday clothes, to these sets of armors at will, and your weapon, normally a short-bladed sword, would change with your armor, from daggers, tridents, a war hammer, a set of great swords, and so many more.
-This is what made you such a formidable opponent, your weapon changing, and your fighting style could change on whim, as you knew almost every single one, and you could use fighting styles that didn’t fit with your weapon, and you still dominated all of your opponents.
-However, there was one big secret about you, at least you considered it a secret, as it was not a secret to anyone else, despite being such a fierce warrior, you were a total girly-girl around your crush, you were like a shy blushing maiden whenever he came around.
-Everyone could see this change in your demeanor, which they did think was cute, but you got so tsundere and embarrassed if someone mentioned it to you, or mentioned your crush, that was a quick way to get an ass beating.
Rudra
-He met you initially through Shiva, as you had been fighting Shiva in a sparring matching, Shiva wanting a challenge, which you gave to him. The strongest god in the Hindu pantheon was complaining afterwards on how hard you were on him.
-Rudra was intrigued with your strength, you could see the sparkle in his eyes, and he asked for a match as well. You weren’t bothered and he was stunned when you changed your armor to something different, your weapon changing as well, and when you stood over him at the end, he was impressed.
-Your affections for the Storm God came later on, weeks after you first met, when the two of you were enjoying strawberry cake together.
-Another god demanded to fight you, despite it being your snack time and you told him to wait.
-He didn’t take kindly to that and kicked over the table, destroying your cake.
-Before you could lose your temper, Rudra defending you, “Can’t you see this maiden was in middle of something? You shouldn’t be so impatient! I’ll fight you!”
-You never had someone defend you before and Zeus has the memory seared in his brain when he turned to you, seeing you blushing, hands cupping your cheeks, and a doe-eyed sparkle in your eyes. He made you feel so delicate, like a princess!
-Rudra thought your personality was adorable, he’s seen you in battle and knows you are a hardened warrior, but around him you’re like a sweet maiden, but he doesn’t want to embarrass you, as he had seen what you did to Ares after he did that. It wasn’t pretty.
-Rudra did have to admit that he wanted you to act on your affections soon, or else he would, which he knew was going to be amusing.
Hades
-You have known Hades for years, as you helped train his brothers, with your strongest student being Poseidon, until Zeus came into his power, but with that power came a lot of ass beatings when he disrespected you.
-Hades respected you for the fact that you were a warrior, not afraid of anyone, and you weren’t afraid, even to this day, to put Zeus in his place.
-He noticed, over the years, that he could tell which warriors were trained by you, as they were more powerful than others who had been trained by other gods, they were tougher as you had been tough on them, but your students all respected and admired you for it, as you made them into strong warriors yourself.
-Hades always spoke highly of you, which did get back around to you, through Zeus, which did flatter you and you thanked Hades the next time you had seen him.
-He made your brain flatline when he took one of your hands and pecked your knuckles, “I only speak the truth about you, Y/N.”
-Your flushed face was one that none had seen, you were like a maiden!
-Hades thought you affections were cute, how soft you got around him, but you were still so shy about them, as you hadn’t dealt with affections like that before.
-He never misses a chance to tell you how cute you are, which always flusters you, and he doesn’t know how much longer he’s going to hold back if you keep looking so cute.
Qin Shi Huang
-Never in all of your years, did you think that you were going to fall for a human.
-Humans had surprised you by being stronger than they looked, and those who did challenge you didn’t hold back and always were appreciative when you didn’t hold back, Lu Bu was a regular opponent of yours, as you always gave him a good work out.
-When you met the Emperor he immediately grinned up at you with a dazzling smile, “Such beauty~ such a delicate flower, like a rose, beautiful and dangerous.” The sound that left you was not of this world as you had turned bright red, holding your cheeks, shocking the other warriors around you as you had turned from Huang.
-He thought your shyness at your first meeting was endearing, as he had seen what a fierce warrior you were, but with things like affection, you were adorable!
-Huang never missed a chance to tease you, finding it fun to see you flustered while your heart opened up to him. You had never had a man treat you so gently before.
-He enjoyed seeing you open up to only him, as you spoke normally to others, but with him your voice went up just a bit in pitch and you always spoke sweetly with him.
-Huang’s affections were the same for you, he enjoyed being with you, he could see no other to stand beside him, but he was having trouble deciding how to propose to you, which you had no idea was coming.

Ideas™ about Jewish bats & birds, but today it’s Bruce continuing to light a yahrzeit candle for Jason every year even after he comes back, and Jason is furious when he finds out because he’s not dead! He’s not dead! He came back, and he clawed his way out of his own grave and--look at me, I’m not dead!
But Jason did die, and Bruce held his dead body and buried him and sat shiva for him, and that Jason, that fifteen-year-old boy, is dead, and Bruce will never stop mourning him. Even though it doesn’t help who Jason is now, and it doesn’t comfort Bruce. It’s just another wound.
(Slightly funnier version of this is Jason going to temple on his yahrzeit because he wants to recite the Kaddish for himself and running into Bruce who is there for the same reason. Jason glares daggers at him the entire time. He realizes it’s kind of stupid and hypocritical to be as angry as he is about this, and that just makes him angrier.)

What is an Eidolon
Final Fantasy IX
Contains spoilers.
At the center of the world of Gaia is a crystal. This crystal was at the beginning of everything. Every living thing breathes trough this crystal, souls are born from it and return to it upon death providing growth to the crystal. From this crystal sprouted the eidolons. Created by storytelling from the people, their existence formed by all the memories in the crystal, the form they take is based on their stories. They serve as powerful guardians for the crystal.
Summoners from the Summoner Tribe of Madain Sari can communicate with eidolons through their horns. They have learned how to summon forth these eidolons in battles. Rushing forth their powerful magic attacks. Each eidolon has it's own element and attack. Such as Ramuh and his Judgement Bolt, a thunder attack, and Shiva and her Diamond Dust, an ice attack.
Eidolons are known to be able to change form; in the story Ramuh takes the form of an old man beside his godlike true form and Madeen lives for a while as a moogle.
In the game there are two playable characters that are summoners, Garnet (or Dagger) and Eiko. Each has their own set of eidolons they are able to summon and they also have white mage abilities.
Eidolons play a big part in the story of Final Fantasy IX. Raving destruction, providing protection and guidance, and called forth in battles to provide powerful attacks. Eidolons are truly an unmissable part of Final Fantasy IX.

Hi punchie! I'm not sure if you've been asked this already, and you don't have to answer, but if you were to change the weapons of each miraculous, what would they be?
I'd change Mouse and Tiger to be something else. I don't like the tools also being tails, it makes them look a little awkward when the tools are removed.
Mouse I'd do a ribbon wand. The wand can reference the tooth fairy (which in France mice are associated with), also can reference Topolina Ballerina as a dancing Mouse as ribbon wands can be used with dancing. Though I don't know enough of ballet if ribbon wands are used.
Tiger I would've rather a gauntlet. Her other hand isn't like that and look at this thing. That's a ready to go weapon to either punch or claw at your enemies. This miraculous doesn't need a tail weapon.
Tumblr media
Canon Dragon I would've given the umbrella as it's weather related in power, and if it HAD to go to Kagami, at least this wouldn't make things so on the nose that it's clear they designed the miraculous for the holder in mind than the miraculous itself. And clearly Kagami could still used it as a sword, and have it as a possible shield. As Dragon is meant to be more offensive, makes sense to have a tool that's going to offer some diversity in how it's used in battle. The sword feels like it's there simply because Kagami fences.
As umbrella would have my vote for Dragon, Rabbit I'd vote for trumpet. I associate the White Rabbit from AiW more with a trumpet. Ideally, I would've changed Rabbit's power more to teleportation, it could've played off rabbits as tricksters in some cultures by sounding off with a trumpet, hop through a portal, and when your enemies arrive, you're gone. If this was allowed multiple portal uses, you could easily set your enemies up on a wild goose chase. And as a reference to Moon Rabbit, I could see the trumpet adjusting to become a hammer if the user wants to get aggressive. It would also work to just go full Moon Rabbit reference and have a hammer. It can just depend on power preference for Rabbit.
Tumblr media
Now, if they didn't make a watch Rabbit's miraculous, that also could've easily been a tool as well. Could've had it tied to superspeed, perhaps you moving slightly faster than time if you still want that time relation.
Back on the topic of swords, if there was going to be a miraculous to have a sword as a tool I was expecting it to be Horse. Many cultures out there has ridden horses into battle, and typically, they wielded swords. Horseshoe boomerang is a fun idea, but a sword is what I would've picked for Horse myself.
Now, we're going to go into territory that, these tools could've stayed, but I wish they were used by the miraculous as now they just seem randomly applied.
Snake it feels like it only has a lyre because Luka is the user. Otherwise I don't know what a lyre has to do with Ouroborus. Now, if Snake had a power of hypnosis or subconscious manipulation through music, then the lyre would make sense and could better reference snake charming, which is what I feel like they wanted to do with lyre + going to a musician? But if Snake only has the one power and it's resetting time, the lyre is pretty random and not all that useful. I would've gone with the popular whip just for some more utility in battle, or even twin daggers as a not to the twin iconic fangs that venomous snakes have.
I'm good Rooster having a quill, I like the idea that the feather part could even harden to be a knife if the user wanted to get aggressive (which could be a good nod to roosters and how feral they'll go). Only thing is I would've changed the power to a writing related power which honestly I'd go ahead and do as Rooster's power isn't very clear, not in capability or limits.
I'm good with Ox having a hammer, but man I wish it was used more. Like, it can be utilized so it can exist outside the power usage, but for now, it just feels tacked on. Another option is that they could've looked to Shiva, who's vahana is a bull, Nandi. Shiva has a lot of weapons he's associated with: a trident, battle axe, bow, and Shiva's also associated with drums (damaru specifically), which is what Ivan plays. A lot of these could've been good as weapons to use outside the battle if the user desired.
Lastly, Monkey, the staff is fine, especially as Sun Wukong is seen with a staff; but we also already got that with Cat making it a repeated tool (I know it officially counts as a baton but it largely becomes a staff). If Monkey was allowed to exist outside Sun Wukong and it's power name was tweaked to be Gag Gift, I would've proposed a basket backpack that loosely looks like a barrel.
Tumblr media
With this thought, you could have two fun references in this: a barrel of monkeys and it being a toy chest full of gag gifts to prank on enemies.
And honorary mention, Eagle, I would've given a lightning themed spear, as a nod to Zeus and his thunderbolt as eagles are closely associated with him, or have it be that Eagle gives the user wings as their tool and means of travel, nod to Garuda and play off eagles as symbols of freedom.
Everything else I'm pretty good with in terms of tools and what they match with.

Okay so mixed reviews on the kung fu trio movie. Let's break it down
FIRST.
#1 biggest problem with this movie was their treatment of Ben, especially in flashbacks. I think they blew the "anger issue" thing way out of proportion (ESPECIALLY with the part of the timeline they were working with. On god) and also used that to make him like a "sassy" stereotype or whatever. Like guys thats racist come on. This came out in 2021 we are trying to DEstereotype people why are you applying new ones to characters who already had a stereotyping problem. Oh my god.
Anyways yeah I'll just say in general as a big Ben fan I don't think this movie was really fair to him in that sense, although there are a few moments I do like with him, such as most of the Broze Tiger montage, or when he comforts his student outside his dojo. Also mixed bag on him using 70s slang I think there are times where it was fun and worked and also times where it played into the above which 😡
ALSO on the topic of the 70s!!!!! I LOVED the fact that this movie was set in the 70s and that was acknowledged with style and slang and everything. I thought that was so fun (the sideburns omg) and after seeing it set that way I literally couldn't imagine a movie with them existing that wasn't set then. Like it's literally their era and the era of their genre.
Also all of the KFT had crippling depression, anger, and guilt complexes post 70s so there def would have been issues involved w that
Speaking again about the 70s, I feel like a lot of the other problems I had with the movie could have been solved by taking more plot elements from their precrisis comic.
Like these are more comic accuracy critiques but like why would you have there be a cursed sword (named soul breaker. That's literally two letters off from soultaker like could you be less subtle when ripping off other characters) when you could just be creative and use stuff from the O'Neil series instead. Like the O-Sensei gave Richard Dragon the Dragon's Claw so just have that be your artifact. Or if they really wanted a weapon for Shiva to be the Guardian of just make up a dagger that the Dragon's Claw could combine with and have both get stolen. Like I think there were better ways that plot could have been done.
Also speaking of Shiva I was really bummed that there were 0 Carolyn mentions in this movie, especially when the opportunity was RIGHT THERE. like they literally had a fellow student get killed in flashback to open the demon gate or whatever and instead of having it be Carolyn, for some reason it's Jade Nguyen instead (what is with DC adaptations and randomly inserting Jade with character groups she's not a part of??????). The only good thing from that decision was the absolutely hilarious moment of Jade accusing Shiva of not having what it takes to kill. Like BABE do you know who you are talking to. Most wrong anyone has ever been.
No but like I think killing (or even mentioning) Carolyn would have been a way better choice for the movie, especially in terms of Sandra. Especially because they were trying to do a "Shiva has changed, she's not the girl you knew" thing post-flashback. Like Carolyn's death would have been a PERFECT reason for this. To be fair, it would have made this movie super dark and pretty gory because post Carolyn Shiva is NOT to be fucked with ever but like they were already having people be murdered barehanded (with blood) and mild cursing so like they should have gone for it.
Side note: who was the target audience for these movies??? Like it's animated so you think younger but there's lots of violence and straight up murder by the protagonists (with gore) so like I don't even know.
Anyways yeah they should have killed Carolyn. OR had Shiva's blood relation to the O-Sensei be a thing still. Like listen. If you are going to make a movie based on a 70s comic like don't be afraid to take plot elements from that. Like ik the og comic has been made non-canon like twice by now but who cares. When was the last time the KFT backstory was actually talked about anyways? 2008? Just go for it bro. Make them related for extra drama and also legacy stuff. Shiva his (grand-niece? goddaughter? Idk) being his pride and joy but turning against his legacy into one of violence and blood which Richard, his psuedo-son (at least here. I don't remember the details of their og relationship) instead begins to rise and fill that instead.
Also I think they could have highlighted this shift in terms of Shiva's name. Ben and Richard are really the only people (besides Carolyn, rip Carolyn) she's Sandra to, so I think having her go by that at while training (which they called Nanda Parbat or smth similar btw which ????????? No???????) Would have made her shift into Shiva more meaningful, and their kind of denial of this transofrmation as well, as they continue to call her Sandra occasionally after they reunite. (Bruce would always call her Shiva post-flashback).
Also why did they have Shiva run a gang in Gotham to signify her evil(ish) status. They should have had her doing her normal thing. Like introduce her by having her challenge Batman (not knowing he was Bruce) but then win, stopping and sparing him once she realized their (movie-canon) friendship. That would also give us a cool fight scene out of it too.
Um feel like I covered most of the changes I would make- OH! I actually really liked how they did Richard in this. Which surprised me because he's my least favorite by far and I usually don't like him that much??? I think in canon it's definitely a case of the white guy learns martial arts, beats Asian people at it stereotype. I also just think things get weird and more like racist stereotypes start coming into play in terms of his original canon interactions with Ben, Carolyn, Sandra, etc. So I thought the choice to have him be Asian in this film was a really good one. Also they had him be interesting too. And like kind of cool. Idk this movie and his VA and all that actually made me really enjoy watching Richard Dragon. Which was weird as hell
Idk so mixed feelings on this movie in general. I really liked the premise of making a kung fu trio movie set so deeply in the 70s, I adore that, and I thought the addition of having Batman there and having known them actually worked really well. I'm very glad they did it that way. It obviously helped the movie itself get made and also in my ideal version BATMAN would honestly be the good mental health friend of the group by the end of the movie which is actually wild. Canon KFT trauma you are so insane and compelling to me actually.
My biggest issue with the movie (whose real name is like Batman: Soul of the Sword or something, [edit: it's called Soul of the Dragon] I love how I haven't mentioned it once [it's the kung fu trio movie to ME <3]) was definitely the portrayal of Ben. I'm definitely not suggesting we have him fall into the Black best friend stereotype he suffers from in the 70s comic but like. Just be better with it??? Thought his best moments of the film was where it went into his canon story and struggles and all that so just like. Do more of that idk. Just don't be racist abt it.
Otherwise my main gripes can all generally be summed up to this. When there's a point in a story where it feels like the adaptation has to diverge from canon to tell this story, 9 times out of 10 I believe it can actually be told better by moving closer towards canon, or by consulting a slightly different canon (precrisis vs preboot, etc.) In place of that.
