DP X DC Dont Scratch the Ice
It wasn't October in Gotham if Manbat hadn't gone on a rampage, and Dick was currently chasing Kirk Langstrom through the densely populated Main Street in Gotham, so by God was it fucking October.
They'd mostly kept on rooftops so far and Dick honestly thought this chase was going to be relatively easy until suddenly, thanks to decades of poor infrastructure maintenance, the sky light the scientist-turned-bat was using as a launchpad fell through under his weight and left him falling downward into Gotham City's indoor Ice Rink.
Dropping down on the ice, Nightwing made the startling realization that he neither had the skill set to gracefully slide across the ice on his soft, noise proof shoes, nor the normal winter cleat accessories to remedy the issue.
Trying to both stand up and think of a way to properly fight/corral Manbat on the ice, he saw him cornering a large group of skaters. Thinking fast, Dick launched his grapple to hook on the frame of the plexiglass wall surrounding the Rink itself and used that momentum to nail the Manbat in the back of the head with his knee. "ICE to meet you, big guy! This fight would be a lot better off somewhere else, don't you Rink?" He quipped.
Manbat roared, the skaters screamed, and his jokes went criminally unappreciated.
Springing off the plexiglass barrier, Dick tried to think up his next move when he saw two skaters split off from the pack and lead Manbat to the center of the Rink. Rushing to try and separate the two suicidal civilians from the rabid bat-creature-thing nearly ready to tear them to shreds, he stopped short as a third came shooting down from the opposite end of the rink and making a spray stop right in front of the Manbat- but instead of the snow spray they were expecting a wall of ice came up from his skates and froze Dr. Langstrom into place.
"So is this the Batman everyone's been talking about? Because if so he's really gonna have to help us fill in these grooves."
One of the two who split off came circling back. "No this is Man Bat. Kinda like you, just uncontrollable rampaging bat form." She said, looking appreciatively at the wall of ice.
"More of a Jekyll/Hyde situation I think, or the Hulk." The second commented, slowly skating back to his friends, but as he was nearly there his skate caught on one of the deep scratches the Manbat had caused and he fell face first.

For a number of years, I've been thinking about what an alternative to fast fashion might look like that wouldn't rely on companies to decide suddenly to stop selling us garbage or government regulators to actually make rules with teeth on planned obsolescence and externalities.
Obviously the goals would be to have the whole process from field to closet to waste degradation be environmentally sustainable and rely on fair, well-compensated labor.
The items themselves would need to be designed to last for a very long time: socks and underwear for a minimum of five years; bras for a minimum of ten; leggings, undershirts, t-shirts, and shells for a minimum of five hard-wearing years or ten light-wearing years; and outerwear, bags, and accessories for decades. Wool and leather coats, properly maintained, should be able to be passed down to your grandchildren. Shoes would vary greatly based on the exact material and purpose, but would be designed with the same durability considerations.
The fit should be unique to the person, and tailored to fit their exact proportions, body fat, and hard-wearing points. Therefore, items would not be labeled by size at all, but generally shown in different schematics to demonstrate what the item would be tailored to look like on different body types. Instead of just designing items for straight sizes and items for plus sizes, make general design plans that are easily adjusted to be shrunk or hemmed in some places, reinforced in others, and let out or expanded in others.
How the person wants to wear the item should also be taken into account: is this going to be a neck scarf or headscarf? Is this sleeveless dress going to be worn as a sundress or over a shell? Is this person going to be wearing breast forms or binding? Does this person use a wheelchair and if so, what are the touch points/hard-wearing points based on their actual chair? Etc.
Lifestyle should be taken into account: what is this particular item going to be used for? Are you hiking? Climbing mountains? Working on a farm? Working in an office or courtroom? Working retail or in a restaurant? Lounging with friends in your home? Playing sports? Wrangling small children? What do you need to do in your clothes? And what if you need something that will get your kids to daycare, yourself to your office day job, to a post-work workout or date with friends, and then to moonlighting as a cashier at a pizza place? (This is a real example of one of my friends, btw.)
It should not only be possible to move comfortably in the clothes to be able to do everything you want to do, but should be possible to easily modify the look to allow for multipurpose use with a simple reconfiguring of the garment and/or changing up the accessories. Pockets and ways to adjust the clothing for different external factors like temperature, weather, and time of day would be a must for basic items like button-up shirts, dresses, pants, and skirts. Additionally, sensory aspects should be taken into account as well - no itchy tags or ill-placed seaming, and certainly no plastic seam support tape or interfacing to make up for poor base materials. How the item wears over time should be considered, so that it starts out feeling good and wears into being extra comfortable and lived-in.
Simply put: the clothes need to be designed for practicality and comfort.
To the greatest extent possible, it should be easy to do immediate care for the clothes at home - stain removal, washing, drying, and even basic mending. However, for items with more technical maintenance and/or repairs, that service should be provided in-house to allow for more durability and control over sustainable practices for things that can't simply be washed, like wool coats. Repairability would need to be considered for common hard-wearing areas; extra panels in the inner thigh, elbow, knee, and armpit areas to help make the garment easily repairable to look as good as new would be things to consider.
Similarly, the look and style should be considered for the intended duration of the item. If it needs to look elegant for twenty-five years, then it needs to be designed with a classic look that will last the full time. Things like consistently flattering lines, colors, and patterns that tend to stay in fashion should be prioritized, with the ability to easily add or subtract embellishments to update the base garments. Accessories should be designed with a much greater range of colors and styles to allow for outfit variation and customization.
And the idea I keep coming back to is of a subscription styling, tailoring, mending, and recycling service with a lot of different plans and multiple payment structures to offset the cost of all of this. Realistically, the Vimes boots theory of economics is well in effect here. A dress that could replace thirty cheap fast-fashion items but will cost $5000 isn't going to happen for anyone who isn't exceptionally wealthy, even if over time it actually costs the individual less. The only real way to do this would be to treat it like an asset and structure payment accordingly. In the meantime, having a staff to handle maintenance of the items (such as repairs, style updates, and refitting as the person's body changes) would help to improve the sustainability of it as a business.
Anyway I'm not a business major, but I'm curious about what y'all think of that approach? Is this something you'd consider?

Prism Stone was updated as of 5/1/2024. It seems like they did have more stuff to add! (But not much...)
The gold tab features Fuwari's brand new Clock Garden recolor from episode 12! It's an SR. Also Fuwari's initial PR and Yui's casual coord (SR) are back.
The silver tab features three random new to Idol Land coords, including a nurse coord for Falulu!
Then we have a gatcha featuring the new MyDream coords! Weirdly, they are actually PRs. There is no PPR in this gatcha.
Also... It's only Michiru's and Nino's. So I'm not sure what is up with that. Are they going to have another gatcha later for Yui'? Perhaps because they have nothing else for the second half of the month? (Also, no gatcha for episode 11 at all I guess.........)
Edit: I spoke too soon! Yui's is an event reward! Also, Michiru and Nino's gatcha coords give an event bonus as well! (20% for the tops, 15% for the bottoms, 10% for the shoes, 5% for the accessory.)
Also, like I said in my post below, they DID NOT update the premium shops. The coords in there were available until 5/1/24 11:59 JST, so at 12:00 JST there was NOTHING IN THERE... then after the maintenance, they put everything back in and increased the availability by a week.

🐱 Revisited Duchess
Tumblr media
Duchess seems to have gotten a makeover! Duchess was revamped because according to Phoenix, her initial clothing wasn't fitting for the time period of The Aristocats, which takes place in Paris, France during 1910. Duchess now wears a lavender dress worn over what appears to be a white blouse alongside a pair of lavender shoes with bows on them. Duchess accessories with a lavender bonnet with various white ribbons and ruffles alongside dark magenta roses along with a jeweled collar. Another accessory included is a pink fluffy hand fan with a dark magenta gem brooch.
Additionally, on the bottom left is Duchess' family tree, including her three children who are all 6 years old. The children include Marisse (Twisted from Marie), Bertold (Twisted from Berlioz) and Telfor (Twisted from Toulouse).
Some notes from Phoenix include that majority of Duchess's clothing will be based on fashion from the 1900's and that her signature colors are lavender, pink, dark magenta and dark violet.
🍎 The Pommeneige Dorm Dwarves
Tumblr media
These little dwarves serve as the maintenance workers of the Pommeneige dorm living quarters. They will find lost objects and keep things neat and tidy for the students. Students repay them by placing sweets, bread or even small clothes for them in the charity basket in the Pommeneige dorm living quarters lobby.
All of the dwarves wear red and pointy hats, making them resemble lawn gnomes. The designs are as follows:
1. Features a large head with a round nose and small tuffs of hair coming out from beneath the hat. His tunic is a turtleneck one which obscures his mouth and he has rather small feet.
2. Features a pointy triangle hat with string and button decorations. He has the same round nose as the first dwarf but has cartoony eyes and a mustache and beard. His tunic appears to be tucked in and he wears pointy shoes.
3. Features a feather pinned to his hat with eyebrows and a rounded beard. He wears large round black boots.
4. Features eyebrows and rectangular eyes as well as a mustache. His tunic's collar covers his face and he wears a large belt and small boots.
✨ The Dorm Fairies Coronation Outfits
Tumblr media
During Coronation Ceremonies, the dorm fairies accompany their dorm leader in a ceremonial outfit, likely based on the dorm's aesthetic. The outfits are as follows:
🍎 Applette wears a dress with puff sleeves and various ruffle and pearl details throughout. She accessorizes with an apple shaped crown with rounded arches and a lacy veil.
👠 Bumpkin wears a ruffle caplet and dress with the dress' bustle being tied by flowers. She accessorizes with a ruffle flower, ribbon and crown.
🫖 Sui's teapot appears to feature a large ribbon wrapped around it with the ends tied into the shape of a bow. Sui herself wears a ruffle bonnet with a large bow and a ruffle collar.
😴 Willow wears a dress with the top layer having pointed edges with rose decorations and the second layer being ruffle like in detail. Willow also wears a high collar and a caplet with a bow on it. Willow wears a witch like hat with roses and ribbons.
🐠 Marina wears a dress that makes her resemble a jellyfish with the bottom having pearl strands with a large collar that resembles a shell. She accessorizes with a crown made from shells and pearls and a pearl necklace.
🌹 Rosia wears a collar made of roses and ruffles that resembles the mane of a lion. Her dress features roses and the dress' bottom features ruffles.
🏝 Luna wears a long sleeve top with a sari, harem pants and curled shoes. She has pearls throughout her hair and a flower in her hair.
🐲 Cinder wears a dress with apron like details and collar made from fur. Cinder accessorizes with a fan hairpiece with flowers and various pins.
🍂 Skili wears a long sleeve dress with fringes at the sleeve tips and the dress' bottoms. She also wears a feather hairdress.
🐸 Lillie wears a dress with a flower on the right side of the waist and appears to be attached to leaves. She accessorizes with a rosette hairpiece with a lotus flower and pearl beads. She also wears a pearl necklace.
🎀 Hairstyle Experiments

Some of the hairstyles featured here would carry over to the girls revamped looks.
🌺 Vidya Story Illustrations

These were created when Phoenix wanted to develop individual stories for each character. Above is a development sketch of Vidya dancing with likely a possible suitor while the bottom picture has her tending to parrots.

Doll restoration/restyle: Rainbow High’s Krystal Bailey
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She was another one that came with Carmen Major and Gabriella Icely’s lot. No before pics because I forgot, but honestly I don’t think it matters. She was super easy and in great shape. I would honestly class this one as more of a restyle than a restoration, because the restoration parts felt more like regular doll maintenance.
Her face and body were in excellent condition. All her hair needed was a quick comb to get all the tangles and cat hairs out and a wash to get out the styling glue.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get any of her clothes, shoes, or accessories, so I had to dress her up in completely unrelated clothes. Her skirt came from Carmen Major, Jacket from one of the Storm twins (who is still in my to-restore box). Not sure about the shirt, shoes, and hair clips. I have a lot of as-yet unidentified stuff in my Rh closet.

I feel like the idea of being like feminine and high maintenance for girlies and feminine people in general is sold as you need to have all this money and shit when that's simply not true. Having money helps but you don't need expensive stuff. It takes time to find what you like. Just cause the people you want to be or dress like have it doesn't mean you have to. Finding things you like takes time, and it's not just gonna come all at once.
The best places you can get stuff is thrift stores! People shy away from them out of embarrassment but I love thrift stores. I grew up poor and I just started working part time while still in school. I've found my absolute favorite pieces from thrift stores, bags, skirts, shirts, even shoes. Most of my wardrobe comes from thrift stores because it's accessible.
When it comes to room accessories and things like that five below is amazing. They follow trends a lot too so you can tend to find a lot of the stuff you want.Even when it comes to smell goods it's a great place. I went there recently and there was a sale on vanilla body wash and it last so long and smells amazing.Dollar stores are also great places.

Maximizing Minimal Space: Smart Tips for Small Closet Organization
Is your small closet bursting at the seams with clothes, leaving you overwhelmed and frustrated? Fret not! With a dash of creativity, strategic planning, and a little help from the experts, you can transform your chaotic wardrobe into a beautifully organized haven. Here’s your comprehensive guide to conquering closet clutter and maximizing every inch of your limited space.
The first step in creating an organized closet is decluttering. Empty your closet and sort your items into categories like tops, bottoms, dresses, and accessories. Take a critical eye to each piece, asking yourself if it still fits, sparks joy, and remains in good condition. Be ruthless—bid adieu to anything that doesn’t meet these criteria. Consider donating or selling items that no longer suit your style but are in good shape.
The effective utilization of vertical space can be a game-changer in a small closet. Install additional shelves or stackable organizers to optimize every inch. Invest in hanging organizers equipped with various compartments to efficiently store accessories like scarves, belts, and ties. Don’t forget the closet doors—hooks can be a valuable resource for hanging purses, hats, or necklaces. Freeing up vertical space leaves room for larger items on shelves and in drawers.
Get creative with storage solutions to make the most of your closet space. Hanging shoe organizers or transparent shoe boxes keep footwear visible and easily accessible. Foldable fabric bins or storage boxes are perfect for stowing away off-season clothing on high shelves. Hanging rods or cascading hangers efficiently store clothes vertically. Try using tension rods inside the closet to organize scarves or handbags.
After decluttering, take organization up a notch by color coding and categorizing your clothes. Group garments by type (tops, bottoms, dresses) and then organize each category by color. This visually appealing and practical method simplifies finding what you need in a jiffy.
Consider storing seasonal items separately using under-bed storage containers or vacuum-sealed bags. As seasons change, rotate your wardrobe accordingly. This practice not only maximizes space but ensures you have the right clothes at hand for the current season.
Maintain an organized closet by keeping your clothes clean and wrinkle-free. Professional dry cleaning, laundry, and ironing services, such as those offered by Abu Dhabi Laundry Services, are invaluable. Entrust delicate or high-maintenance garments to their expertise, giving you more time to focus on organizing your closet.
Sustaining an organized closet requires regular upkeep. Dedicate a few minutes each week to tidying up and returning items to their designated spots. Promptly put away freshly cleaned and ironed clothes, avoiding piles on the floor. Consistent maintenance is the secret sauce to preserving your closet's orderliness.
Embrace the transformation of your small closet by implementing these practical tips and innovative storage solutions. Bid farewell to clutter and welcome a beautifully organized small closet that makes getting dressed a joy every day! Remember, with a bit of dedication, your space can become a stylish, functional oasis.

🛁💁‍♀️👠 for yera and/or kerasil, your pick :3
I did Kerasil earlier today, so I'll do Yera for this one!
🛀🏿 Is bathing a luxury or a chore for them? Are they a long, sybaritic soak sort of bather, or a just-getting-clean sort?
BATHING IS A LUXURY. After spending weeks, or even months, on the road living in the dirt or woods, in sleeping inside caves and dungeons, all Yera can afford at times is a wet rag or just living in her own sweat for awhile. Nothing she hasn't done in her long life, but it certainly isn't always the best when you roll up to an inn or tavern and you can hear the folks flinch away from you.
Yera used to be pretty efficient with cleaning before she got into her wealth. Just wash in the lake, or the river, make sure to get all the leaves and dirt out of her hair, and she was golden. Now that she actually owns a house and the funds to have a bathtub, a warm soak is the best thing in the entire world.
That's not to say she is only a bathtub soaker anymore. It depends on the mood and how convenient it is to do so, but if given time and space Yera will always choose having a warm bath over anything else.
💁🏾‍♀️ What is their hare care regimen like? Do they color, straighten, curl, or otherwise change their hair regularly?
Yera would say she takes great care of it. She combs it, cuts it even, makes sure to get all the dirt and leaves and bugs out of it. It's a distinguishing part of her features so it has to be taken care of.
If you ask Lydia, she would truthfully answer that it is haphazard at best, and looks more grey than white most days.
There is a reason Yera keeps her hair short and a low maintenance hairstyle. It's not that she's neglectful of her hair, just that she feels that just a quick finger brush and keeping it clean is enough for her needs. So long as it's not sticky or falling over her face annoyingly it's alright in her books.
It's not horrible looking, but once Lydia learned that her Thane was basically dunking her head into a barrel of water and calling it there she knew she had to do something.
So now Yera has a dedicated hair care regimen that is required at least once a week by order of her housecarl (Lydia can be pretty forceful when required). It's a really nice bone comb that Lydia got her for, and Yera takes great pains to make sure the comb is well cared for and never chips.
Lydia wishes Yera had the same dedication for her hair, but it's the thought that counts.
Yera also doesn't really change the hairstyle, nor dye it despite how different it looks and how easily identifiable it makes her. A blind bosmer woman with pure white hair is pretty easy to narrow down, but her hair is a feature of her person. And Yera will be damned to let anyone tell her how to change or manage her body in a way she doesn't agree with.
👠 Do they coordinate their outfit and accessories carefully, or just wear any old rag that passes the sniff test and their most comfortable shoes? Somewhere in between?
To shift how Yera takes care of herself again, she does take great care in coordinating her outfit. In the beginning she only had one set of clothes and armor so she just cared about those being in good condition. Now that she has a house and money to spend on outfits she likes accessorizing again.
It's been over 100 years since Yera last saw colors, but she still remembers them and which one she likes the most. This usually falls into reds, yellows, the occasional blue paired with darker colors, and obviously gold when affordable.
Lydia helps out putting the clothes together and describing them to Yera for selection. Then they're put close together in the closet so that there is less confusion as to where they are.
Boots are organized from utilitarian to comfort on the rack for Yera to decide on a whim to wear that day.
Accessories are in a dedicated jewelry box with extra dividing sections Yera can organize to her liking.
You won't find Yera wearing precious jewels or dressing up in a gown, even in important social events. She still prefers function over fashion, but there's no reason to not get those plush cotton pants at the market today. Lydia, please, they're a different color this time and they feel so soft. We have so much money, what's another pair of pants to us?

Something About Hachi Koi (はち恋)
Tumblr media
What I could gather from Hachi Koi or はち恋 is that it was a cancelled game/love simulator for the Nintendo DS as it was announced in 2008.
Additionally, I come to realize that this game has been acknowledged since 2012 on Tumblr by one of the main heroines, Kurumi.
Surprisingly, this was attempted by EA of all companies according to blog with a defunct link as the main plot is that a death god tells the protagonist that he's going to die by his next birthday and the only to stop it is to fall in love with one of the featured heroines.
As for the other company, NEURON AGE or NeuronAge, I don't have any concrete information on what they do towards the gaming market.
For its mechanics, it'll probably functions like a dating sim/love sim although has a "Touch Event". So think of games like FE: Fates or Nintendogs that feature this, hell you could think of Doki Doki Majo Shinpan! But with a DS game that'll potentially garner a niche audience, why did this game get cancelled? I haven't found the reason why, so I'm left in the dark with this one.

So, where does that leave this canceled project? It was later turned into a smartphone game for the iOS and Android that ran from October 1, 2012 to February 28, 2014. This also came with a new mechanic which are love points that occurred from outfits and dates plus using related topics to spark a conversation while also keeping the touch event.

The plot also seems to have changed to a potted plant that handed from a fortune teller as this plant can predict and advise Makoto Shirai's luck in romance.
His luck being with one of the eight heroines with some simplified summaries:
Akane Aso, the first childhood friend who's active, energetic, and friendly that's a member of the track and field club.
Hina Konishi, the second childhood friend who's shy, gentle, and soothing with a weak body yet strong will.
Mirai Kirishima, a strict committee chairperson with an old-fashioned personality who's trusted by everyone as the leader.
Kurumi Kasugaoka, a clumsy girl who's kind to everyone and quite popular in class.
Noa Saeki, an admirer of the MC that's innocent and bright while also being the hard worker.
Ayumi Ichinose, a mysterious girl who's quite modest and quiet at best. Awfully looks like another teal-haired girl who's a singer.
Maria W Ryuzaki, the only daughter of the board president that has a naïve side yet not good expressing emotions well.
Sayaka Ayukawa, the sexy upperclassman that garnered the attention of the male students yet seems interested in the MC.

Now what I've noticed while looking into the characters are some of the design changes which are mainly Hina (Hair changed from brown to black with removed side buns), Kirishima (Blue hairband thined out and turned white with neck bow removed), Kurumi (Socks become folded near loafers with flower symbol removed), Maria (Outfit color turned from pink to brown that match's Sayaka's along with shoe color + shoe accessory removed) and Sayaka (Change of bangs and heels turned from pink to purple). Their original designs, initially for the DS, are on Game Watch for full viewing.
Sadly, there is no known archive of each of the heroines' outfits. (┳◡┳)
Lastly, their official website is still up and running after shutting down their maintenance and what I can tell you is that it was completely different if you applied the link on Wayback Machine as it was in those days where it was anticipated to be released by 2009 on the NDS. Although, this requires Flash although some are programmed through Ruffle.
By the end of it all, Hachi Koi was a cancelled DS game that still made its way to be released and played until the end. I like to thank certain bloggers who posted the image with Kurumi, without you, I'll probably never found out about this obscure game. Much love!!!╰(⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝)╯
