i have this unconscious need to make the genetics of the characters somewhat realistic but at times i also am... not strict on it...

take for example: ross and his parents (or specifically jaune)!

if aaron is a brown tabby and ross has black fur (which as a human is most likely brown hair that is dyed black but uhh i have one idea how that may work in this au)... that leaves a few possible options:

jaune is a tortoiseshell/calico which makes it possible for ross to be fully black male

jaune is a golden female cat which can result in ross being brown male OR a tortoiseshell

jaune is a golden male cat which can result in ross being black male (and wooo transgender/t4t win for the parents!)

so yeah if i ever give a character "alternative" design's, its because of this reason; if you draw either version, it's still canon! and maybe i shouldn't really care (because again, transgender win !!!!)... but i do like putting in effort about pattern genetics snifssougugu

so the good news is that yes a lot of people can wrap their brain around the concept of there being different rules for childrens content and 18+ fanfiction. the bad news is that there is a weird amount of people who need to read more ie: the definition of media and the articles that they assume agree with them based off of title.

People know that the whole "don't portray [harmful action] because viewers might recreate it" thing is a rule for children's shows right? It's supposed to be shit like "don't show peppa pig playing with fire so we don't get sued if a kid watches it and burns their house down." Not like, fanfiction for adults.

Genius Things to Do When You’re Stuck in Your Plot...

Make a fake conspiracy board connecting every character like you're solving a murder. Use string, post-its, color-coded chaos. Even if your book isn’t a thriller, this helps you spot secret relationships, hidden motivations, and “oh crap, this character actually caused that moment three chapters later” reveals.

Write a therapy session transcript for your protagonist. What would they say to a stranger? What wouldn’t they say? What does the therapist pick up on that they don’t? (Also: gives you instant internal conflict fuel.)

Record a fake podcast episode where your villain is a guest. The topic? “Why I Was Right and Everyone Else Is Just Soft.” Let them monologue. Let them get unhinged. You’ll learn so much about their worldview and how they justify their chaos.

Assign zodiac signs to all your main characters and write how they’d react to a haunted house. Not because astrology is the answer—but because forcing your brain to imagine characters in weird situations unlocks surprising truths. (Your Scorpio would definitely flirt with the ghost. Your Virgo brought sage.)

Write the worst possible ending to your story on purpose. Like, make it hilariously bad. Deus ex machina, everyone dies, aliens show up—it doesn’t matter. Sometimes mocking your plot actually helps you figure out what doesn’t work so you can reverse-engineer what does.

Do a “what if this happened instead?” daydream session in the shower or on a walk. No pressure. Just free-thinking. Let your brain go off-road. You might stumble into a better twist, or a softer moment, or a scene that guts you in the best way.

Write the one scene you’re most excited about—now. Even if you “haven’t earned it” yet in the draft. Screw linear order. Give yourself a jolt of joy. That scene might be the key to unlocking everything else.

Make your characters write Yelp reviews about each other. “One star. Always steals my fries. Would still die for him.” This is ridiculous, yes. But it will reveal interpersonal tension you didn’t know was there.

Tell your plot to someone who knows nothing about it—and see where they get confused. Your roommate. Your cat. Your reflection. If you can’t explain it out loud in 2 minutes, it’s probably too complicated. Simplify the heart of the story. Get clear again.

Write a flash-forward epilogue. Even if it never makes it into the book. Where do these characters end up? Who are they now? That can tell you where the real story wants to go—and help you figure out what’s missing along the way.

Cybertronian courtship headcanons

Yes I should be writing requests but friends asked, and I went on a decently long ramble that I wanted to share.

Vehicle mode Cybertronians can be flashy, speeding around taking tight turns, taking dangerous leaps, doing donut around their courted or the one they are trying to court all in the name of getting your attention and keeping it.

This can differ based on the cybertronian, but older mechs (e.i Ratchet, Skids, and Kup) don’t do that, their show is more action that even wrecking bots take after, more placing their alt mode between you and others, any lights they have, headlights or emergency lights will also flicker or turn on with no siren, this is called ‘Flashing’ and it will confuse them once they get to Earth.

Flustering bots with sirens (i.e Ratchet, Prowl, First Aid, Red Alert) can also earn you a ‘whoop!’ Of their siren popping.

Speedsters (i.e Hot Rod, Smokescreen, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, etc) perfer the flashy loud engine revving ways, but they can also flash their lights, its just faster flickering or solid several seconds off and on for stunts.

Music based Cybertronians take a vastly different approach, their lights flash to the beat of music they are playing. They also make and write music based on the person they have affections for, personalizing it to the person, and performing it as a gift, this also comes with dancing.

Dancing with a music based Cybertronian often comes with EM field coming into play, this field is meant to silently match your wavelength and electricity. Music based mechs dance all the time and dance with friends, however the act of ASKING to dance is seen as an attempt of asking them out, and most will reject you harshly for it if you are not close.

It’s the act of asking that is seen as taboo, as it means you want one on one time, just the two (or maybe three) of you to dance, alone, and match each other’s rhythm.

Flight based Cybertronians and their wings are perhaps the flashiest, but this is still debated amongst them and speedsters.

Flight based bots will often take to the skies in their alt modes and do aerial shows for you, leaving a smoke trail behind them to make designs in the clouds for you. Sometimes this can turn into a battle if two or more flight based bots won’t the same person.

Flight mode bots also speak a lot with their wings, it’s a second language on Cybertron amongst them. Cybtertronians with door wings also fall into this, however their wings are often smaller and clunkier so a jet mode bot and a car mode bot can have very different conversations as the door wing bots speak in a more simplified version as opposed to like a Seeker.

Flight mode bots wings, however, play a large role in their relationships, their wings are their greatest assets but if injured can ruin their jobs and lives if not treated or unable to fix, due to this they are protective over them.

If you are asked to help clean up their wings it is a sign of deep unwavering trust, this can either be friend or partner, the only way to tell is the words their wings speak to you, trusting you as a friend their wings will not more often, usually staying straight up and out.

But if viewing you as a partner their wings move often helping you reach deeper places, or often drooping down as their relax into your touch.

Also in public, if a flight mode bot is trying to court you, their wings will flare out and stretch wide in an attempt to block your view from any other bot from the surrounding area, trying to keep your attention on them and only them.

let's talk about negative thoughts + doubts and why it's an optional experience

have you ever set the intention to manifest or shift and got hit with a million different doubt-filled thoughts? "this isn't possible. i'm not strong or powerful. have i done my methods enough?"

i've been there. i know how it feels. the negative thoughts pounding against your skull so powerfully that it causes you to get a splintering headache and almost brings you to tears. it seems to be a common experience. a rite of passage if you will, but what if i told you that it doesn't have to be so difficult. that you can silence those thoughts and begin to rarely experience them, if at all, by doing something so simple.

you might want to dismiss my claim and tell me i don't know what i'm talking about but that's the problem. you expect to have negative thoughts and doubts because you believe it to be something that everyone must go through.

i was a victim to this kind of thinking too. in january of this year, i set my eyes on something and decided to manifest it. before i knew it i started having very bad thoughts surrounding the manifestation. it was draining but i persisted, i didn't let it get to me. i thought that i was so powerful for resisting the urge to succumb. i expected the thoughts to intensify because i believed it to be a sign that my persisting was working (so many issues with this kind of thinking but do you see the problem?)

while trying to manifest a desire, i actually ended up manifesting doubts because i believed it had to be this way. i saw no other option, i decided that this was my fate, i saw it as a sign.

this doesn't promote longevity. it was the source of my downfall and i can't blame myself for giving up because my god it is so draining to deal with thoughts like this. every second of the day i would be fighting off these bad thoughts, doubting my every move. so naturally this was the beginning of the end and i broke down. like i said before i literally gave up. i started crying and felt like this couldn't be the only way to exist. i was so used to hearing manifestation coaches and teachers say that this experience was normal and should be expected to the point i manifested it. after this breakdown i decided to sit and ask myself for the answer, without ego. this is what i received word for word:

"thoughts do not matter but do not expect them to pester you. leave them behind when you shift realities (decide/manifest)"

i felt so free after hearing that. the truth is i didn't try to get rid of the thoughts. i just released the belief that i had to have this experience with a deep sigh and that was it. after that i didn't even notice that the thoughts stopped until i went back to read what i channeled. it was simple and instant. it's now february and i can confirm that i rarely have bad thoughts surrounding manifesting and if they do appear they are so silent that i usually just gloss over it because it's so miniscule!

now let me summarize and simplify everything for you!

the only reason why you are having such intense negative thoughts and doubts is because you expect to experience this. if you simply release the expectation and realize that it is an optional experience like everything in this world, you will soon notice that the thoughts are quieter or nonexistent. don't accept "just ignore them, they will always be there" as an answer! ignore them, yes, but do not expect them to pester you and bother you. do not view thoughts and doubts as this big monster that chases you down relentlessly. the less you care, the better.

lastly, i want to add that this is not a process. there is no method to releasing the expectation. you simply do it. take deep breaths, solely ponder on the realization that you don't have to live this way anymore until it sinks in, cry/sigh/smile/laugh or react in anyway you want if you feel called to, and be happy that you're free. YOU ARE LITERALLY FREE FROM THAT BS NOW!!!! you have released the expectation. feel free to apply this to other expectations like failure, suffering, hardships, struggle, etc.

Sigil Creation

Naturally you could always draw your sigils from pure instinct, creating spontaneous shapes to represent your intentions, but there are other techniques available.

The Wheel

Next you must charge your sigil. Charging is the act of infusing the sigil with energy. The creator might enter a meditative state, focusing intently on the sigil while envisioning their intentions intertwining with the design. This act of focused concentration serves to embed the intention within the sigil, making it a beacon for the desired change.

Passive and Active Sigils

Intentioned sigils fall into either the passive or active sigil category based on how that sigil's energy is best utilized. Passive sigils are usually drawn on the body, item, or surface and then left alone to release their power over time. Active sigils involve some action to trigger the release of the sigil's energy, such as burning, burying, soaking with water/oil, and more. Some sigils can be used both passively and actively, but most will fall into one category.

Spirit Sigils

Many spirits and deities have sigils that represent them and these can be powerful catalysts for interacting with these beings. If the spirit you're working with doesn't have a sigil made for them (or even if they do) you can design your own symbol to connect with that spirit. Follow the same process, but instead of focusing on your intent, focus on the spirit/deity and connecting with it. You can even perform a ritual and provide an offering to invite the spirit into your space. This will allow you to draw divine inspiration straight from the source. like over and over and over. not to convince yourself. not to affirm. not to feel anything. just to destabilise. because your brain is not smart. your brain is just a pattern sponge with no eyes. if it can't disprove it, it has to consider it.

and if it has to consider it, it has to live in it.

and when you do that enough, the weight shifts. it doesn't feel different at first, because you're used to associating "shifting" with dramatic theatre-kid fireworks. but the point of anti-method is that it gives nothing. your brain can't prove otherwise, it gives up

your brain doesn't have a little camera. it doesn't have a "reality checker" badge. it can't track origin points. it can't trace the line from a to b if you erase the path. i could literally be cooking butter chicken and remembering an internet debate and start shaking. for what?? is someone breaking into my house?? no. but my brain literally process it as a real thing.

you just keep going. you ask the question again, and again. and again. your brain looks for evidence, there is none. it tries to remember how it "used to feel."

"but how do i shift? what do i do?" what you do is nothing. seriously. you don't visualise. you don't count. you don't wait. you don't do that thing where you go "okay now i'm in a hallway" and then try to walk through the fake hallway and get disappointed when your eyes are still closed and you're still in your room. none of that. all you do is act like it already worked. so you lie down, or you sit, or you keep living your life like normal, and you just rawdog "well. i probably already shifted. i probably just forgot. how would i know that i'm not in my dr.” the whole point is that you assume it already happened. and if it didn't, it will. just be the person who already got there. the brain follows. it has no choice.

❤️he finds a strange joy when the baby starts babbling, clapping her hands and giggling, as if it made him happy that she was happy.

❤️he has found a new friend! after feeding her he let's you clean her up because he doesn't know how but then afterwards grabs the little thing right out of your hands to go hold her and play with her on the couch

❤️he found it so cute that humans are sometimes this small and weak. He likes it when she wraps her fingers around his finger. He finds it so cute.

🩶he kinda just..observes. Watches how to take care of such an incapable, small little lump.

🩶he finds them cute though. Likes to see what makes them happy, stresses out when he accidentally makes them cry.

🩶he watches the kids shows and tries to decipher a meaning and see the affect the colors and sounds have on the baby and what it benefits to them.

🩶tries to teach the baby monster language, but is only met with a small, confused head tilt. Gives up on it after you tell him the baby only knows some words in human language. It was hard teaching you monster language, a fully capable adult, it'd be nearly impossible teaching a little, babbling creature.

🩶watches out for dangers while she sleeps, stands over her and watches for any possible threat. Once a fly flew in her general direction. and it immediately got a scalpel thrown directly at it, pinning it to the wall.
