The monster soon faded away, defeated, leaving behind a corrupted soul.
"W-what is that?" Riddle asked as he detransformed.
"A corrupted soul or some even call them kishin eggs," Star explained
"W-what?! How do we deal with this?" Riddle asked in shock.
"You eat it," Star said simply.
"Excuse me," Riddle glared.
" Weapons eat kishin eggs to strengthen themselves. Eat 99 kishin eggs and one corrupted witch soul. You will become a death scythe that can be welded by lord death himself," Star explained.
Riddle slowly picked up the kishin egg but turned to star with a glare.
"you're not fooling me are you?" Riddle asked with a glare of suspicion.
"No, but if you don't want to do it. Then you can simply turn it in to Mr.Crowley," Star shrugged as they walked away.
Riddle gulped nervesly but eventually consumed the kishin egg. As he did he felt a small burst of power flow through his veins. When Riddle regrouped he explained to Mr.Crowley, he explained what had happened to him and the kishin egg. He waited to be scolded for something like his mother would, but was meet with praise.
"Well done Riddle-kun. You are well on your way to becoming a death scythe, how did you manage on your own?" Crowley asked.
"I didn't do it on my own. F/c star helped me," Riddle informed him.
"Ah, I see," Crowley smiled in excitement.
"I-I would like to have Star as my partner pair," Riddle stuttered slightly.
"Well were going to need Star-kun's thoughts on the matter-"
"No need. I'm in," F/c star said suddenly, as they appeared out of no where. "I'm looking forward to becoming the strongest pair in NRC." They held out a hand to Riddle.
"Likewise," Riddle nodded as he shook Star's hand.
When Riddle first became a weapon, his mother would explain that Meister and Weapon pairs are alike. Cause how else can they co-exist together so well. She believed that the pair must be alike to bond or even be a pair. So Riddle having these beliefs was completely confused.
He and f/c☆ Star were nothing alike. Riddle has a strong commitment to maintaining order and the rules among his peers. no matter how insignificant they may seem. He also was strict with studying and discipline.
While f/c☆ Star on the other was the opposite, They were considerably carefree and a bit recalcitrant. And does the bare minimum to simply avoid getting in trouble with the pettier rules. So one can imagine these two butting heads a lot since f/c☆ Star was the only one who criticizes Riddle without fear.
Riddle for a while thought that f/c☆ Star was nothing more than a lazy slack when one day he came down hard with the flu. It was there he saw the gentle and caring side of f/c☆ Star.
Riddle would be surprised by f/c☆ Star's home economic skills his partner possessed as they took care of him. During the three days, Riddle's heart would grow a soft spot for f/c☆ Star.
Even being able to confide in them, when he doubts himself as a weapon, f/c☆ Star was there. The two grew close, Riddle would even get slightly jealous when other weapons would come up to ask f/c☆ Star to be their partner instead.
but things really took ahead in their second year.
This year's unbirthday party was a disaster, a certain first-year pissed Riddle off by eating his tarts. At first, f/c☆ Star thought this was just another accident that they need to talk down with Riddle. Only to find Riddle on an angry tantrum spree, collaring people left and right.
"Good morning Riddle, are you calm yet?" f/c☆ Star asked as they placed a plate of fruit and pancakes on the table. " For you."
"The entrance ceremony, The statue of seven being burnt, the chandelier in the cafeteria, and know my tarts! These first years are out of control!" Riddle ranted as he sat and ate the pancakes.
"I guess we're in for an exciting year," f/c☆ Star chuckled.
"They are rule-breakers, that Crowley lets off scot-free. If it were me it would be-."
"Off with your Head!" F/c☆ Star shouted in their best Riddle voice possible.
"Don't mock me, and that was a terrible impression," Riddle pouted.
" Relax Riddle, once they settle in. I'm sure it's smooth sailing," F/c☆ Star sighed as they placed a hand on Riddle's shoulder.
"Let's hope so, for their sake," Riddle said as he wiped his mouth with his napkin.
"Alright tough guy," F/c☆ Star smiled, as they took the dorm's head finished plate.
------------------------------------
Things went from bad to worse, when Riddle absolutely flipped his marbles over a Tart. The first year Ace refused to apologize for his tiny mistake, so Riddle had him and his friends thrown out of the Dorm.
" Now to continue where we left off. We have a croquet match to kick off," Riddle smiled.
F/c☆ Star stared at the Mont Blanc that Riddle tossed on the ground, a small frown on their face. As The rest of the dorm students left the maze for the croquet match, Riddle noticed that his partner was still sitting at the table.
"F/c☆ Star we're ten minutes behind. We must get the match started," Riddle said with a small smile.
"That was messed up. They put so much effort into that dessert and you tossed it on the ground," F/c☆ Star glared.
"I can't be lenient with that one, he has broken so many rules. I will not let him off the hook," Riddle argued.
"He's a freshman, of course, he wouldn't know all of the Heartslabyul rules. As for the school rules, he made up for it by risking his life to fix his errors," F/c☆ Star said slowly. " And you didn't have to talk to them like that or threaten everyone."
" What are you saying, that you agree with those rule-breakers. I'm not doing this because I want to, I'm doing this for everyone's sake. Mother says that those who can't follow rules won't make it anywhere in life," Riddle glared back.
"Well your not obligated to try to steer everyone's life, and not everyone can memorize 810 rules like you. And I'd say it's unfair to assume or expect everyone to match you," Y/n said as they stood up from their chairs.
As the two began to argue, the rest of the dorm watched in horror as Riddle started to get riled up. They began to whisper amount each other.
"Do you think they'll end their partnership with Riddle?"
"This dorm has only been bearable cause F/c☆ Star was able to talk back to him. I'm surprised they lasted this long,"
"If they do, then maybe F/c☆ Star can become my Meister,"
This was heard by Riddle, and his heart twisted at the thought of F/c☆ Star simply replacing him. So he turned to the others and shouted at them to be silent.
"Riddle, with each passing day you become more and more like a tyrant than a Dorm leader," F/c☆ Star. " Sooner or later your gonna find yourself alone the more you push people away."
"Are You Saying I Wrong?!" Riddle growled. " It's not my fault if they can't follow the simplest rules. I guess you wouldn't understand such things when you yourself can't comprehend such concepts."
"Sigh were getting nowhere in this argument. I must excuse myself from this party and cool off," F/c☆ Star scoffed and stormed out of the dorm.
Trey slowly approached Riddle, only to see the boy quickly wipe his eyes and turned to start the croquet match.

Sadly things didn't get better when the next day Ace and his friend Deuce challenged Riddle's for Dorm head statues. Sadly things didn't go well, Riddle easily overpowered the freshmen. Ace only Angered Riddle more by ringing up Riddle's flaws and family situation.
F/c☆ Star could only watch in horror as ink started to drip down Riddle's face.
"Deuce I need you to transform," F/c☆ Star whispered to Deuce.
"W-what?! Why?" Deuce asked nervesly.
When suddenly the ground began to rumble as the rose bushes started to defy gravity. Riddle's magic was intensifying, as he began to command the rose bushes.
" Come! My Dear Rose Bushes! RIP ACE TO SHREDS!" Riddle commanded maniacally.
"Now!" F/c☆ Star shouted.
The Rosebushes began to shoot towards the fear-stricken Ace when suddenly the bushes were shredded to harmless pieces. Everyone gasped as they turned to see shredded with a pair of spiked brass knuckles.
"Just keep calm Spades," F/c☆ Star said.
"R-right," Deuce's voice said, as an image of himself appeared in the reflection on the spikes.
"W-wait Deuce turned into a weapon?!" The magicless student Yuu asked in shock.
"Riddle this has to stop, you almost committed a first-degree murder," F/c☆ Star said in a firm tone.
But Riddle wasn't really paining attention, his mind was all over the place. Riddle glared enviously at Deuce at how easily he was able to transform and be wielded. By His Meister!
"So You decided to replace me, was I not Good enough of a weapon!" Riddle shouted in pain and anger.
"Riddle that's not the point. You're getting far too out of hand," F/c☆ Star said as they tried to approach.
"After all, I've done to uphold the rules and to become a perfect weapon. AFTER HOW MUCH I SUFFERED FOR THIS?! I refuse to believe you Because it's me! I'm the one in the RIGHT!" Riddle screamed as more ink dripped from his forehead.
Soon Riddle was consumed by the ink and a Level 5 phantom was born! The battle was tough and merciless as Riddle and the Phantom continued to try to destroy everyone in their path.
But as the battle continued F/c☆ Star noticed that the Phantom was starting to consume Riddle into itself. So without hesitation, F/c☆ Star dropped their weapon, and ran to save Riddle, and jumped into the ink.
As F/c☆ Star pushed through the ink, they were hit with a wave of emotions and memories that weren't theirs. F/c☆ Star saw the way Riddle was treated by his mother, and just how truly trapped the boy was. Not seen as a son, but as a means to an end.
"Riddle!" F/c☆ Star called out when suddenly they found themselves in a familiar room.
There Riddle was again, himself this time. Again he sat in the cage, but the door was wide open. "What are you doing here?" Riddle sobbed.
"I'm here to get you out of here," F/c☆ Star said as they sat beside Riddle. " And, I'm sorry for everything you had to go through, with your mother and all."
" I broke the rules, so even those fun times were taken away from me. That’s why I had to listen to every rule that Mother said. Because my mother, who was known by everyone in town, will always be right," Riddle sobbed.
"Well, I wouldn't say she was right about everything. The whole Weapon and Partner have to be alike to pair is BS," Star said.
" But, you know, I wonder why? For some reason, my heart feels so heavy. I want to eat a lot of tarts even if it’s only on my birthday. I want to play outside a lot. I want to make lots more friends," Riddle sobbed as he leaned into Star's side.
"A-and I like having you as a partner, I don't want to pair with anyone else. What rule should I follow to make this sadness disappear…?" Riddle confessed.
"By being yourself," Star said simply. " No matter what your mother did to unlock your weapon, she failed. Only by wanting to unlock it yourself, was the answer. Being your true, unrestrained self."
"Unrestrained self?" Riddle asked.
"The one who wanted wants to play outside, make friends, and eat tarts. Your mother has been your cage for too long, and you can do all those things you want without hurting yourself. And I'll help through it all, together as partners," Star smiled. "But first, you have to step out of this cage."
"Will you really stay by my side?" Riddle asked.
"Of course, cause that's what a good friend and Meister would do," Star smiled.

"W-what happened to Riddle and Star?" Trey asked.
When suddenly the Phantom began to thrash and scream in agony as a blue light showed through the thick ink.
"Soul Resonance!!" Shouted two voices.
