i'm always a bit unsettled by disdain for intellectual or creative labor in leftist spaces. there's this commonly held belief that academics are a bunch of rich old white men, rather than a wide variety of people who are barely getting by. most lecturers in universities are adjuncts living paycheck to paycheck. authors make very little money as a general rule. most researchers are overworked and underpaid. and yet there's still this idea that academics are overcompensated to sit around and smoke cigars together while making shit up

I think Dick and Jason would have multiple “what the actual fuck are you saying right now” with Tim and Damian when it comes to quality of life/monetary differences. Sure, Dick and Jason got used to Bruce’s “is $100 a good enough tip on a $30 bill?” shit, but hearing Tim talking about a new laptop he bought for $5000 literally is like a punch in the gut.

If they ever went on a cruise (which they totally wouldn’t because cruises are floating death traps), Jason and Dick would be in awe of the fancy amenities, where as Damian would be unsatisfied with the quality, since he grew up with every single amenity known to man. Tim would just feel like it’s all normal since the Drake’s were extravagant and travelled all over the planet.

US Airport Officers Caught On Camera Stealing Money From Passengers' Bags

The officers allegedly stole at least $600 in cash and other items from passengers' luggage.

A shocking video of two Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers stealing money and other items from bags of passengers at Miami International Airport has gone viral on social media. According to the New York Post, the officers allegedly stole at least $600 in cash and other items from passengers’ luggage on June 29 this year. The officers identified as 20-year-old Josue Gonzalez and 33-year-old Labarrius Williams, were arrested in July when enforcement officials began investigating claims of theft occurring at the checkpoint.

A video of the theft has emerged now, showing the agents working together to take money from wallets and purses that passed them on the way to the X-ray machine. In the footage, one of the officers is seen putting his hand inside a wallet and slipping the money inside his own pocket.

As per Fox News, the duo along with Elizabeth Fuster were arrested in July and initially charged with organized scheme to defraud, according to Miami-Dade County jail records. They were booked into Turner Guilford Knight Detention Center.

Fuster and Gonzalez confessed to ‘’numerous thefts’’ from travelers, admitting to stealing an average of $1,000 daily while working together. Both of them have pleaded not guilty to the third-degree felony grand theft charges they face, while charges against Fuster were dropped in August.

The officers have been removed from screening duties pending the completion of the investigation and administrative actions, according to the TSA.

The statement by TSA stated, ‘’The Transportation Security Administration holds its Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) to the highest professional and ethical standards and has no tolerance for misconduct in the workplace.’’

‘’We actively and aggressively investigated these misconduct allegations and presented our findings to the Miami Dade Police Department, and are working closely with them. Any employee who fails to meet our fundamental ethical standards is held accountable,’’ the statement added.

Steal away the rare cat themed artifact he had recently gotten (and also steal away his actual cat, such a lovely little diva it is too). then she was going to disappear into the night like always.

Selina casted her eyes into the mirror of her car and could see the tiny children she had rescued from Master's hidden basement lab. All but one was asleep, the oldest out of them, although she seemed to be losing that fight from the way her head was falling forward, eyes closing but would jerk herself back awake when she realized she was falling asleep.

Curled up as hard and as much as they could towards the little redhead was three dark haired children, Selina mused that they'd fit right in with Bruce and his little bats/birds.

Two were near identical boys, though one seemed to be much paler than the other and if she remembered right one had red eyes and the other had blue, and the last one of the sleeping kids was a tiny toddler, a girl she heard was named 'Ellie' from the others.

With a deep breath as she drove further and further away from that... that insane Fruitloop (she overheard the two boys call him that as they ran to her car) Master's place, she blindly reached for her phone and pressed a single digit on the screen, knowing it will connect to her car and call up the only person she can trust to help her with this.
