Jaune: Hey Weiss are you the suicide hotline because I really need your number.
Weiss: Okay.
Jaune: Pardon?
Weiss: I’m giving you a date.
Jaune: Cool prank.
Weiss: I’m serious. I’ll give you a date.
Jaune: Um… I don’t actually have anything for this.
Weiss: Tough garbage. Think fast.
Jaune: Um… You drink coffee? So do I. Coffee date. You and me. We’ll get drinks in town and just chat.
Weiss: Sounds nice.
Jaune: We’ll see. You know how I am. We’ll just have to fuckin’ see. I won’t even know until the day of.
Weiss: You have no idea how to impress me. Do you?
Jaune: No idea.
Weiss: Then we’ll just have to see.
Jaune: Could I get a hint?
Weiss: No.
Jaune: Well alright then.

people don’t write it often, probably bc it’s a bit intense and can be triggering
but my favorite type of darling are the ones who are 100% seriously willing and able to kill themselves to escape their yan
i don’t care about the having the will to survive and escape i want to have the pettiness and spite to take away the only thing they truly love (me)
ooooh ur right nonniee!!!! ☝🏽☝🏽
iii i agree it can be quite triggering. think for a lot of people it also breaks the immersion; if ur reading yandere to feel like you matter to the extent where someone is so enamoured with you they’d condemn the law and their own morals, it defeats the purpose if darling just ,,, like,,,, kills themselves,,,,,,
but there’s also a sort of power in that!!
the sheer devastation it would entail for them, to lose the object of their affection by their own fucking hand. they promised to keep you safe, tucked away from the rest of the world and all its dangers; and yet, in a tragically ironic way—
you were the one thing they couldn’t protect you from.
wonder who gets the last laugh, then.

whateverrrrrrrrr. bristlefrosts sacrifice was an act of love, platonic love, for her cousin who she saw beaten down and mistreated time and time again. someone who she knew just tried to take the punches, someone who she knew was going into the dark forest with the intention to never come back. whateverrrrrrrrrrrrr

I think about the way Akechi died a lot. He was killed by a cognitive version of himself, Shido's cognitive version of him, the embodiment of the puppet he had created. I think about the fact that he killed himself, not in the way that term usually indicates, but he did.
Akechi, with the fresh realization that the Phantom Thieves dying isn't what he really wants, the realization that despite how complicated everything is and despite every horrible thing he did some of them acknowledge his ability, and some of them tell him they understand. It would be easier if they fully hated him, but they don't. They all try their best to reach out to him, and he tells them that they should just get rid of him instead.
This is the most vulnerable he is throughout the whole game. Maybe he would've accepted their hand, but before he can the version of him that Shido created rears its ugly head. It's a cruel reminder of all the worst parts of himself, a caricature of the person he became after he started working with Shido. A reminder of how little control he has over his life.
The point is, as he says:
Tumblr media
So Akechi faces it, and he loses to it. But in the process he also stops that version of himself from hurting the Phantom Thieves more than he already has. He takes back control, however fleeting, to ultimately end his own life.
How much do you think Ren's final words to him meant to him, a way of letting Akechi know that he will remember him? He spent his whole life longing to be wanted by someone, and he gets to know he was. But it's too late to stop the gun that's pointed at him from firing.

I think I can answer the question you asked. At least for me your other stuff is horrifying and some readers are Uber powerless but I have to say the frog universe has by far the most powerless reader in my opinion. They have no money, they have no friends, they have to deal with two unhinged nut jobs, they are forced in feminine clothing and forced to be humiliated, and to top it all off it's now going into forced pet play territory. Also I think it's just the second hand embarrassment and the shame. Living in that constantly would be a nightmare. So I think for some people like me death seems like the easier option then living in that hellscape. At least that's my opinion and how I see it I could be absolutely wrong lol.
ahhh i see i see,,, i do understand it as a narrative temptation, but i should also probably, like, reaffirm that suicide isn't really something i'm interested in writing or that i could see myself ever reaching for when i'm looking for a funky little plot point. if there was going to be a third part (which there isn't), assume it'll be six to eight thousand words of the reader escaping and starting a new life as the totally self-actualized housewife of a very vanilla utahime. they bond over their mutual hatred of gojo and a genuine and equal love blooms from there <3

bpd culture is wanting to kill yourself but come back as a ghost just to see how they'd panic. but then thinking that's manipulative and exactly why they wouldn't care. but then thinking of ways to MAKE them care. but then going back and hating yourself for being this awful of a person that you'd want to die just to see if someone (who most definitely doesn't care) cares. but then-

When I was a very suicidal trans activist in Texas, Benjamin Sisko saying “sure, you would [die for your people]. Dying gets you off the hook. The question is: are you willing to live for your people?” changed and possibly saved my life. It’s up there with “if we are going to be damned, let us be damned for who we really are” from Picard. Star Trek not only shows us a better world, it teaches us how to make it there

A six year old wanted to be run over by a truck so he could be with his family, but he ended up dying from hypothermia... if that isn't one of the most heartbreaking statements to read I really don't know what else to say, because this is just a child. A six year old boy. The world has failed you. The world truly has failed the children of Gaza in so many ways.

Hi, sir. Do you have any suggestions or tips for someone who feels like they do not want to go on living anymore?
I know that it sounds kind of counter-productive that someone who wishes to end their state of living to be seeking advice; but to be honest, I’m just looking for an excuse to hold on.
The best advice I can give, as someone who has been there, is, because it gets better again. Killing yourself is an incredibly permanent solution to what is often, in retrospect, a temporary condition. You are miserable now, so miserable that existing is painful, but you may not always be miserable. And when the sun comes out in your life and your mind and your heart, you could be very glad you are still alive and breathing.

serious:
i feel like a lot of people do "call outs"/morality panics not for "spreading awareness " but because they enjoy the rush of watching someones whole community turn on them. they enjoy their (9 times outta 10) revenge plot working. it's less "I'm warning you about this person" and more " I did hours of stalki- I mean digging and I want to isolate this person from their resources and community to the point of isolation and possible suicide"
and if the smear campaign fails it'll just backfire on the person who started it meanwhile the victim remains traumatized. nobody wins.
