I present you... COLD ICE!

1) Cold Ice is one of my oldest characters. I created him as a kid when I was... idk 11? And this is the first digital picture of him↴

2) I was so obsessed with his appearance that I wanted to study 3D JUST to make him close to real.

3) Cold Ice neither a man, nor a woman. He's also both a man and a woman. Sometimes he turns into Lady Winter. (Yeah. I made him like this as a kid. And I'm from a quite ordinary family, mind you.)

4) Cold Ice is a nosferatu. Which means a simple "vampire", but I imagined that nosferatu in the vampires' world is something like archangel in the world of angels. Though, like all kids, I went even more epic and egocentric than that. I made him the mother and the father of all undead, the will of the Darkness itself. :D

5) But the most creepy fact about Cold Ice is that he was actually born from my imaginary friend I used to talked to when I felt sad.

#i think it’s time i go back to therapy #i keep having recurring nightmares about my ex best friend #or dreams where she reaches out to me. and explains why she cut me out #backstory. in high school had a lesbian toxic situationship with my #bestie. THEN i had another one. which kinda overlapped? the first one was open but also just messy #anyways. jade and i were like together for a year. then she got a boyfriend one day and i had a breakdown #it happened just after high school and i was sooooo … unwell. wasn’t out to my family felt like i was gonna die etc etc #(this is all pre dnp btw) anyways next year i found dnp. a couple months later she broke up with her bf #and we sorted dated for a while (this whole time we’d been just friends and i was still not really over it but hiding it)#and then she dated ANOTHER guy. they broke up and she had a breakdown and moved 9 hours away. i went #to visit her for a month. we like kinda dated again then and i thought we could make it work. then 2020. no travel #so she started dating a guy. didn’t tell me. even though we spoke every day. she moved in with him #then she breaks up with him mid 2021. i started dating my gf. but Jade was clingy and it was awkward #she started dating a sketchy guy who was homophobic. i went and visited her a few times #start of 2023 she tells me she wants to make more of an effort cause he didn’t like her friends so she cut everyone out. then she ghosted #in feb 2023. we had tickets for #mcr in march. i had to text her cause she’d blocked me on messenger and said im going to the concert whether she’s there or not #she said ‘yeah no worries! you can take someone else in my place too 😎’ she used that fucking emoji #and I haven’t spoken to her since. Why have I only just realised that Cytherea was so interested in Gideon because of her name being Gideon

#the names of the lyctors were sealed meaning they fell out of use in the houses and the military of the nine houses only refer to them #by titles like ‘saint of duty’ and at this point probably the only people who remember the names of the lyctors are serious scholars #like abigail and the members of the sixth house #i don’t think this also happened with cavaliers’ names because of ‘dve territorials’ being fairly obviously named for pyrrha dve #SO a random kid from the ninth house showing up named gideon would pretty much signal to cyth immediately that wake and gideon both made it #to the ninth house. looking in gideon’s eyes just proves it #i think cyth realised a lot of things when she looked at gideon’s face properly for the first time #first off that wake managed to impregnate herself with john’s.. stuff and made it as far as the ninth house. second that gideon the first #pursued her and probably managed to kill her (since alecto obviously didn’t rise as a result of all of this)#but also that the baby was born; the baby is gideon the ninth; and she more than likely has NO idea who she is #ALSO that gideon has alecto’s exact eye colour. even though she has john’s genetic makeup. meaning that john and alecto switched eye colours #meaning that alecto was john’s cavalier. meaning cyth never had to kill loveday #i’m willing to bet she was just planning to fuck with the lyctor trial a little bit until that happened #she probs would’ve killed abigail either way because abigail would’ve figured out sooner or later who she actually was #but so little happened in the first couple of weeks that i genuinely don’t think cyth was planning on going full-out. not until she saw #gideon’s eyes anyway #i don’t know. i could be wrong. she Did kill dulcie and pro before the trial even started after all #personal

oh yeah. the reason why i decided to reread tbhk (and thus it was able to hit me like a truck this time around) was actually not bc of mitsukou going canon but actually bc i maybe accidentally started a tbhk book club w my kids at work and wanted to check the contents of it justttt in case before i put the books in their hands

#tl;dr i have this one 4th grade boy who's a total weeb and knows that i'm the only one in this town who's more into japanese media than him #so he pesters me abt it every time he sees me. and the thing abt this kid is that he gets bored easily and if he does he turns into a #complete menace. now a couple weeks ago. he shows up at the program w one piece volume one and spends the entire time he's there peacefully #reading and not causing any problems on purpose. my coworker owen (the one who climbed onto the roof) and i were shocked and in awe of how #peaceful he was being and came to the conclusion that he NEEDS to have a manga volume in his hands at all times. few minutes later.#he finishes reading and isn't bored yet so he decides to go talk to me abt manga. specifically he starts pestering me abt what shonen i've #read despite the fact that i am a shoujo reader and told him that. but he knows i've read kuroshitsuji bc he previously asked me abt what #the worst anime i've ever watched is and i will never not take an excuse to drag the adaptation. and he figures that if i've read kuro i've #probably read more. and so i mention tbhk and he asks more abt it bc of the name involving toilets and him being a 4th grade boy so i give #brief overview and he wants to read it. and i come up with a scheme to make him peaceful AND to give him something to talk to me abt which #isn't 'i know you've read more shonen manga' 'let me gacha on your phone' or 'i saw an ad for rent a gf. thought it was lame. and now want #you to tell me how it sucks bc i assume you know everything abt every animanga ever' (<does unfortunately know too much abt rent a gf bc i'#a bit of a nosy bastard and watched the mother's basement video). so i offered to bring it in bc i own physicals of the whole series and of #as previously mentioned. gave it a quick reread in advance just in case. and got hit by it. hard. i love you tbhk almost as much as i love #when ppl get into things through me. honestly i think getting to live vicariously through him might be one of the main reasons it got me #this time around and not as much the first time (still loved it the first time though). flash forward a little while. one of the 3rd grade #girls is like. really into reading. and also macabre things. like ghosts. and she has two books from the school library. and has had the #same two books from the school library for over a week. she reads quickly and finished them both in under a day and is now bored out of her #mind rereading them. she asks to read the books i've been letting the other kid read. now there are two of them #romeo.txt

Started rereading Midshipman and had the cursed thought that these are not too wildly different of a genre than the Railway Series (aka some offset of School Stories) and so you could definitely swap elements from either and still probably end up with a cohesive narrative

#thing about me is i can make anything about the railway series. you don't even want to know #i always reach a point when writing aubreyad fanfic where it distinctly falls into railway series cadences bc i've read them so much #etched into my brain as ultimate British Stories blueprint archetype #i don't think the later hb for example would super work but actually idk. either way there's a school stories vibe to the first couple #just the whole like 'guy shows up who sucks and is getting you into trouble and then the clever kid shows them up'.......#the even chance is the same as duck takes charge actually. if you think about it #anyways i'm not going to do anything with this but it was a fun thought experiment you can resume your regular programming now #railway series thoughts will happen again though i'm sorry i have those books half-memorized i was a normal kid #perce rambles #percy yells at cecil scott

me age seven being sat down in front of the school’s district child psych lady and being given strange, simple spatial puzzles to solve and then long, complicated worksheets and hammering my way through them at the speed of light while having zero comprehension what their purpose was or why i was here: this is urgent! i have to get a good grade in Weird Puzzles, Or Else, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve,

#kjalkjsdalkjasdl mrs button was a nice lady but not one adult in my childhood ever seemed to notice what to me now seems like #a pretty obvious case of the autisms #then again maybe they just didn't look as hard unless it was *really* obvious back then . it was like. what. 2000? a couple years later #everybody was talking about autism but not when i was six or seven then it was usually just when it was Very Visible #a couple years later my cousin who's more visibly on the spectrum than me got her diagnosis so young that she's pretty much always had it #which is...well i think it's just made her life difficult in a different way. people underestimate her or don't treat her like she's her age #but then she's always had the opportunity to get accommodations and people are sometimes more forgiving when she can't do something #whereas i got labeled 'kid that should be ahead of the game' from a pretty young age and then when i struggled adults either ignored it #or it was just a huge hassle to them and even i could see it exasperated them to have to work around me #but because mrs button (nice lady but what were you thinking) hadn't told them to treat me like a kid with a developmental disorder #they didn't do that in good OR bad ways . so i never got any accommodations with school stuff i struggled with which was a fair bit #i wasn't supposed to need extra testing time in a quiet room or tutoring with math or help organizing my abysmally scattered things #the only time i DID get that was in sixth grade when i was sort-of friends with this kid jonathan who was Very On The Spectrum #he wasn't really a talker unless it was about whatever he was reading which suited me fine so we just kind of existed in each other's space #and his TSS was this very smart and nice lady who had clearly clocked that Something Was Going On With Me and even though it wasn't like #her JOB she made a little bit of time for me. mostly with emotional stuff (i think i was under the impression she was a therapist?)#but if i had some problem with being unable to keep friends or being frozen out by the kids i wanted to be liked by (happened often)#she'd be able to just like. be there she'd make the time . wish i could remember her name

I've always seen posts about how bad it hurts when your kid is heartbroken, and I don't have a kid but l've helped raise my niece for so many years and through so many milestones, always there for the important and the not important stuff and she feels more like my little sister than my niece. She's tough like me and also a teenager so she keeps her emotions to herself and I gotta say her coming into my bedroom earlier crying and defeated about this boy - hurt in a different way because I can’t fix that.

#first loves #I went to work stressed!!!!!!#she texted some updates throughout the day though and they talked and are ok for rn #I’m so glad but also now I’m nervous for her and them because it’ll be so bad #on one hand I know she’s tough and would be ok and it’s ok to let go sometimes #but it’s her and I don’t want her to be sad #or if he sucked overall but he’s actually a really good kid and they’re good together #and they’re never apart and it’s been like a year and a half #so her confusion was so sad #she’s also weird with her emotions like me so I know she’s been going through it the last couple days #today was just the worst of them and I hope tomorrows better #I had mentioned to her to ask him to take a walk on the crusty beach nearby us to talk #and I looked at her location a bit ago and she was there was cute #they both turn 18 next month so it’s time to start growing and dealing with stuff in a different way #I can also legally beat him up if I had to lol #we all like him so it was even confusing to us like get it together brother #I’ll find out more later but hopefully all is well

#I held out as long as I could but I finally had to resign today #my boss is just too nice to lay me off even though my work produces almost no business value 😭#like they just did a reorg of the teams that means QA will be stretched too thin over devs #and he’s not allowed to hire any more manual testers #this is not the same situation I was hired into!#I’m a ‘nice to have’ type of employee and they managed without my role for a while #I COULD have made myself indispensable in the last year but I couldn’t be bothered #I was busy writing fanfic and having a baby #not to mention the health shit like my wife getting covid and stranding us at my sister’s house across the country #or my older kid being hospitalized twice for respiratory failure!#so I just did the bare minimum IF THAT #and now a year later it’s all THE YEAR OF EFFICIENCY and all that bullshit #just like the rest of tech right now. bunch of dumbass capitalist copycats…#if my manager weren’t such a good dude he’d have offered my role in exchange for the manual testing hire(s) he CLEARLY needs #I really hope that my resignation helps him either get the new hire he wants or protect the rest of the department from layoffs!!!#I’m so glad I finally got it over with 😭#I start my new job in May so I’ll have a couple weeks to chill!!!

(I like to think that) Lex Luthor gets clowned on by literally everyone, and Bruce is the absolute worst.

Like he'll attend an event and a literal millisecond later, Bruce will roll up and steal all the attention. And when they're inside, him or one of his crazy "children" will "accidentally" spill very red wine all over his expensive ass suit.

And what can Lex even do?

Last time he retaliated and mildly shoved Bruce, the man very dramatically flung himself across the room and fell straight into a table. He hadn't even gotten hurt- not a single bruise or cut- but that drama queen didn't appear in public for an entire month after the incident. The backlash Lex had gotten was so not worth it.

And it doesn't stop there. His kids join in on the "fun" and bully him too.

Tim permanently bans him from all the platforms owned by Wayne enterprisese, which is like borderline illegal, so Lex sues and somehow always loses.

Jason Duke and Steph team up and make it a game to throw things on his head without him realising. And when Luthor catches one of them, he can't even shout at them or whatnot cause hes actually scared shitless. Jason, the absolute tank of a man, just grins at him while placing his hands on the very noticeable gun at his hip. Duke and Steph stand on either side of him, gripping literal knives in their hands.

Damian just outright walks up to him and begins insulting him in a couple of different languages. He always gives Lex a final disgusted look before turning and walking off.

Dick might seem the sweetest, approaching him while smiling in that nice way of his. He's the worst, though, cause he always makes sure to bring a few reporters with him before he innocently starts outing Lex's latest evil scheme in front of the audience. He makes sure to bring solid evidence of the nefarious plans, but right at the end, he goes, "idk I could be wrong," before shrugging and walling off.

Cassandra doesn't do much, but she's definitely the scariest. Whenever Lex has had enough and is about to call a hit on Bruce, she appears out of nowhere, stares straight at him, and just shakes her head while saying, "No. Regret"

Basically, Lex Luthor, public enemy #1, gets (justifiably) bullied by the entirety of the human population (honestly, only the Waynes).
