Should I get up at 6 in the morning to go for a run or is that an insane decision that I will hate myself for
#the background is i’ve been running on and off since december but i’m finally getting pretty good at it i think#(the secret is doing lots of other stuff like hula hooping and exercise bike and pilates to gain aerobic ability and strength)#and i feel like i want to try running outside#up to now i’ve been using a slow treadmill with a top speed that’s a pretty decent jogging pace for me#but i definitely want to be able to go faster and i also need to be able to change up my strides#ya girl is 6’1 my strides are definitely longer than this treadmill is#however. i’m very aware that i look goofy as fuck when i run. i’m clumsy and top heavy and i have a bad case of rbf#NONE OF THIS MATTERS. but i still would rather run at a time when there’s not that many people around#so i was thinking why not 6am. but then i was like. ellen are you actually out of your fucking mind#right now i usually run in the late afternoon because it makes me hungry and that motivates me to start prepping dinner#so switching up the timing is already going to mess me up. literally switching from evening to morning pilates made me feel like the world#was ending. it’s bad#if i want to run outside i am going to have to change what time i do it regardless because the streets are full of school run people#and dog walkers at my usual time. i see them walking past my house#so it’s like why not do it at 6am#or. i Could try like 10pm. i do live in a small town; it’s pretty safe#what i could do is wear a hat with a light on it. men hate those. and carry a metal water bottle#i am like 80% sure i could incapacitate someone with a hydroflask i’m ngl. not that i’ll probably need to. but a girl’s gotta be prepared#personal

hey do you have any resources for learning old english?
yes! i have so many!
The textbook I used is Introduction to Old English by Peter Baker and I found it to be very helpful. It has a large section explaining some basic linguistics concepts that will be helpful if you haven't learned a language with declensions before. It also has a nice selections of texts to practice with. It manages to be both dense and vague at times, but what academic text doesn't.
That textbook also has a companion website, oldenglishaerobics.net (ignore the stuff about logging in you don't need to do that). It has some exercises to practice with, and a large selection of texts with full glosses.
I haven't used any other textbooks so I can't offer any insight on those, but I've poked around a bit on oldenglish.info and it also seems like a good resource!
For reference sources, my go-to is bosworthtoller.com . It's not always the most functional website, but it is definitely the best online dictionary I've found. The magic sheet linked in the resources section of old english aerobics is also wonderful for quick grammar reference.
If you're interested in learning how to read manuscripts, oepoetryfacsimile.org is wonderful. the UI is a little funky, but it has tons of scans of manuscripts and carefully annotated transcriptions of them!
If you want book that isn't trying to teach you the language, but is still very fun and interesting, I suggest the Wordhord by Hana Videen.

Jack: “How do you spend your days off?”
Azul: Whenever I have no specific plans, I try to work on self-care of both my mind and body.
Jack: It's definitely good to refresh yourself from time to time. What kind of things do you do?
Azul: I'll wake up early in the morning, and make myself a cup of whatever I'm in the mood for…
Azul: I'll often read a business book or economic newspaper, check the news or whatever is currently trending.
Jack: Is that really helping to reset yourself? If you're just info-grabbing still, I don't see how that'd relax you…
Azul: For me, that sort of thing is more or less a hobby. Also, at this point, this has become an ingrained habit…
Azul: If I were to just lounge around in bed all day, it would just have the opposite effect on my mood.
Jack: Yeah, I guess I agree with you that I don't want to be lounging around just because it's my day off, but… You really do keep busy, huh.
Jack: So, if that's all the self-care of the mind… What do you do for your body?
Azul: Often times I'll do circuit training, alternating between weight training and aerobic exercises.
Jack: HUH!?
Azul: What is with that shell-shocked reaction?
Jack: No, I mean, I just never expected the word "training" to come out of your mouth, I guess!?
Azul: Well, I suppose I am part of a culture club, so… Perhaps it is not completely unexpected that you would think otherwise.
Azul: Oh, that reminds me, I was thinking of adding a new training regimen to my daily workout…
Azul: I am considering resistance band training. Jack-san, do you have any experience with this?
Jack: Yeah, I do. Whenever I add that to my usual muscle training, I end up using muscles that I normally don't use.
Jack: Depending on how long the tubes are, or how many you use, you can change up the strength of the resistance, so it really helps to exercise the whole body.
Azul: As I thought! Thank you, Jack-san. You were more than helpful.
Jack: Yeah. But man, I really didn't expect I'd get to talk about exercises with you of all people.
Azul: Fufu, it seems we have unexpectedly found something we share in common.

Azul: Jack-san, I can see that huge grin on your face, you know?
Azul: As if I would allow anyone to see me humiliated… [inhales, exhales]

RE8 Headcanon: AU Resident Evil Village characters at the gym🏋️:
A/N: Okay so recently I’ve started going to the gym and working out properly and today I literally had to hold back from giggling like a colossal MORON because all I can think of is what if the RE8 characters were in this gym rn LMAO. So these are how I think they would be in a gym environment or what exercise they would be into lol enjoy 😭
Alcina Dimitrescu:
Alcina definitely trains in the weight section like how else would she throw that dresser lmao
She has like a set routine of what muscle groups she’s gonna hit on what day
Definitely favours upper body workouts though she is a sucker for chasing that glute pump on leg day
She’s not into cardio though she will go for walks but only indoors on the treadmill lmao
She warms up and cools down properly too… she takes everything very seriously
She loves looking like a baddie at the gym too it’s what motivates her to go! She’s old school though so like flared yoga pants and sleeveless shirts are her go-to
If you’re usually intimidated by the weight sections you feel way more confident if she’s in the area since the GymBros™️ know better than to fuck with her
She also does CrossFit here and there just so she can focus on driving ~power~ through her body
The Dimitrescu sisters

Cassandra kinda just likes to control the music though she does demonstrations of movements for her sisters (bc they're incompetent duh)
Dani is actually trying to create her own routine and lord she is SICK of Cass’s micromanaging
Bela is just climbing the pole and swinging aimlessly… she doesn’t do it to perform or anything she just likes having her Chandelier by Sia™️ moment
They are doing it behind their mum’s back obviously
They install a pole in the foyer though, then they have to explain to Alcina what it’s for
“I know what a stripper is and I thought I raised you girls to be classy!”
They have to explain that a) Ain’t nothing wrong with being a stripper and b) They are not stripping, they’re exercising by using their body strength 🤪
“You girls don’t need exercise. You can turn into flies for gods sake!”
Donna Beneviento
Hot Girl Walks™️ with or without incline
Gf is NOT one for sweating… she already is relatively physically active anyways if she’s carving out larger pieces of wood to make dolls
She likes that she can put on headphones and a playlist and just have Donna time™️
But if she’s feeling particularly pissed off or overly energised, she installed a boxing bag in her basement and she likes to go punchy punchy kicky kicky
Angie likes to coach her on her technique (she knows nothing and frequently suggests Donna should punch the rocks outside because she saw Chris Redfield do it once and thought it would make Donna stronger)
Donna likes to have a workout buddy if she attends a gym though… totally not for checking out their muscles while they demonstrate for her 😇
Donna also likes to dance, not any particular style… she just sort of does it to express herself without really speaking
Salvatore Moreau
Swimming (duh)
He likes aqua aerobics as he’s not very good at maintaining any good technique with any traditional swimming strokes
He sucks up to the instructors frequently though lmao
If he doesn’t do aerobic classes he likes to swim slow laps and tries to focus on improving his lung capacity
He also has a habit of swallowing so much water when he swims and ends up vomiting frequently
He invested in some nice flippers and a snorkel so he can swim at the beach (he is surprisingly quite afraid of strong currents and getting caught in the rip) he wants to give it a good shot one day
Karl Heisenberg
He also does weight training. He likes the feeling of metal in his hands
He frequently gets into Alcina’s space and takes weights from people without asking
He has no regard for gym etiquette whatsoever
He is the type to absolutely throw the weights up with his whole body instead of perfecting technique
He is also a grunter… he has no shame
He does call other dudes out if they’re making female patrons feel uncomfortable
Alcina still has to fight the urge to “accidentally” drop one of her weights on his foot though
Him and Ethan are incapable of using machines properly
Ethan Winters
Endurance running
He literally does marathons for fun. He’s a psychopath.
He likes hiking too and honestly has probably dragged Mia out to different tracks at some point in their relationship
If he does go to a gym… he has NO clue what he’s doing if he’s using the equipment like he just tries to guess what they’re for and ends up using them incorrectly like this:

Chris tried to teach him how to use them but Ethan is convinced you can use them any way you want
Him and Karl provide the gym patrons with entertainment for DAYS
Mia Winters:
Yoga/ Pilates mum
She’s been doing classes and her own practice since forever
She can do some pretty cool poses like her capacity to hold her own bodyweight is actually pretty crazy
She’s very sweet with new yoga participants… she gives them advice on how to improve on basic or advanced poses whenever they ask
It’s the only thing in her life that keeps her calm and collected tbh
Mother Miranda:
Jiu Jitsu
She wants to kick some ass but without all the force of kicking and punching, like getting some good submission holds in there
She likes that JiuJitsu is more of a grappling sport in this sense
She also wants to improve on her speed when she’s in the ring, she wants to make attacks look effortless so she can scare her opponents into thinking that it’s easy for her
She definitely makes her own rules however, she only likes training with anyone who is up for being a rag doll for her
Chris Redfield
Bro just does anything
He likes boxing though
He imagines that goddamn boulder scenario every time… people mock him about it and he dgaf
He has broken through many boxing bags as a result
His sparring partners dread having to fight with him because they know they’re gonna walk away with a dislocated shoulder from the massive shock absorption lmao
Rosemary Winters
She likes volleyball
She just does… all the “normal” girls at school do it so she figures it might help her situation a little bit
She is actually pretty good at it
She hates how long the practices are though, she likes it but not THAT much
She likes doing high intensity cardio classes at the gym when she’s alone
It helps her get all of her pent up teenage stress out of her system

Day 1 of 5 day workout week:
It’s definitely a Monday. It feels like the Monday-est Monday in a while. There were lots of excuses, lots of obstacles (some real, some perceived). All I can say is that I powered through. 👊🏽
-I put in well over 30 minutes of weights. The training range today was 10-15 lbs. I went through static and compound exercises targeting both the upper and lower body. I also added medium intensity resistance loop exercises.
-Then I put in 35 minutes of high intensity step aerobics on double risers! These were step intervals with a slight recovery. I ended with a cooldown and stretch.
Total calorie burn = 417 kcals 🙌🏽
Here’s hoping tomorrow goes a bit smoother! 🙏🏽

Here are my thoughts on Aerobic Al 🎉
First off he definitely gives off that pansexual vibe. He’s definitely a pansexual!!!
Aerobic Al is so cute and people don’t acknowledge that. I swear he’s the sweetest and most encouraging boy you could ever meet.
He’s kinda dumb sometimes but I’m a silly way were whenever he is being dumb it’s actually funny and cute at the same time.
In a few scenes in the background I spotted Al stimming with his finger’s it’s so random he might be on the spectrum who knows.
Aerobic Al has one of the most cutest British accents I’ve ever heard and the way his accent sounds causes him to mispronounce words and it’s so silly I love it. He had a brummie accent according to the wiki fandom.
His dad is short but aerobic Al is almost as tall as his dad and he’s actually the tallest student in his class which is really cool I think. Also his dad being short is super funny and silly. 
Also we never get to see Al’s mom in the series but I’m guessing she’s the blonde one since Al’s dad has brown hair and Al has blonde hair which I’m so curious about Al’s mom and we know she exists because when rude Ralph was singing born to be rude he sings a verse that goes “I spot my friend Al with his mom and dad” which conforms Al has a mom.
I can’t get over his personality it’s so amazing I wish more guys would be like him to be honest. Aerobic Al is so sweet and encouraging he never gives up and he always there for his friends. He’s honestly so adorable and loving. I’ve seen some fanart of him and he definitely would be the guy to be clingy,cuddly and lovey dovey if he were to date someone.
I love how aerobic he is. He’s always taking good care of himself and getting tons of exercise he never stops moving around during the day. And he eats very healthy he hardly ever eats sugary candys so good for him he deserves a medal 🥇.

prompt: hannigram, baseball AU
so i was rereading some of my old baseball fic and i was thinking about how the really special thing in those fics, that i can't really pull off in other fandoms, is the focus on like... analytical masculinity, and brotherhood. like the way it's so easy for some cis men to be Men, and Brothers, and Relaxed In Their Own Skin, and how interesting it is to write from the perspective of the men for whom it is not easy, but they nevertheless have to pretend it is in order to be accepted by the specific culture they find themselves in (professional sports)
and i started noodling with like... if i had to write an alternate universe where Will and Hannibal were also inside the culture of professional sports, where would i place them?
and how would they respond?
so okay. Will. let's start with Will.
if you put Will Graham in a professional baseball clubhouse, i could definitely squeeze some masculinity angst and homosexual longing out of him.
but i also don't love the idea of him being a player, because i think that playing sports - being physically fit and getting a lot of sun and nutrition and aerobic exercise - would create a way healthier neurological baseline for will graham than what we're used to in canon.
also i think to progress in a team sport, to keep getting promoted from the high school leagues all the way up to the majors, you can't be an antisocial dick 100% of the time. you have to be able to play on a team and people have to like you, to some extent. otherwise you wouldn't make it that far because your team would keep losing and/or people deliberately wouldn't scout you because you'd be too much of a social poison in the clubhouse.
and the idea of will graham actually doing that seemed ludicrous to me
so i scrapped the idea of him being a player
what he COULD do is analytics. he could definitely be the moneyball guy. he could definitely do the math. and he could also have impeccable insights into other teams' players, he could catch on to little things that change the game. he could be hired on as a stats guy and wind up being the guy who can magically clue you into the opposing pitcher's tells.
the question then becomes - how did Will get into baseball in the first place, if he wasn't a player? how did he wind up dedicating his brilliant mind to baseball instead of being a cop or a bug scientist?
enter: dad graham. he wasn't a boatyard mechanic, at least not at first. he was a player
i couldn't decide if he was just in the minors or if he got to the majors... i feel like he would have to be a minor leaguer to establish the poverty angle of will's childhood, but i like the idea of Will getting to see the major league clubhouse as a young kid. maybe dad was briefly a major leaguer but didn't have a notable career.
the point is, will didn't have a mom, and got dragged all around the country by his dad's career, and he LOVED it
will graham was never an athletic kid
and, though he wouldn't know it until later, he was gay. and probably autistic.
and he did not, could not, navigate the rules of masculinity as demonstrated by dad and colleagues. if there were other kids in the clubhouse, will didn't get along with them. he wasn't relaxed like them, he wasn't casual, he wasn't comfortable in his own skin.
he envied what the adult men had
he sorely envied the camaraderie and trust and confidence that he could only mimic but never truly internalize
he grew up watching and watching and watching. and idolizing. and coveting.
maybe he did start to play a little bit, too, but i imagine he got bullied badly in school the few times he did go. or bullied somewhere else. or something. i just want some rude kids to beat him up so bad that it permanently fucks up his shoulder for life. and he has to look at his dad's face after, and know that his dad is disappointed in him somehow. for permanently killing the dream that his only son might play pro ball the way he never could.
so anyway. will's obsessed with baseball and finding his way into the industry because he needs dad's approval one way or another.
dad probably dies at some point. it's very sad. but will's already on this path. he sees pitching stats in his dreams. it's his entire consciousness. it's all he knows how to do.
he's probably in his 20s during the stat revolution in baseball, when moneyball happens and they all realize they can use computers and math to make a team do better. and will becomes a hot commodity. he gets promoted and promoted and scouted by other orgs
maybe he settles in at his dad's favorite major league team. feels like some kind of karmic justice.
so when he's in his late 20s, he starts traveling with the team. since he's the stats guy and he's the secret weapon and he can give tips in real time.
surreal, to be on the airplane with a bunch of young men his same age. they mistake him for a player sometimes, at first. some of the players try to talk to him, give him nicknames. he's not good at it, never has been. but he does catch himself staring at them sometimes. the way they touch each other, like it's no big deal. the way they flirt and tease and shove each other around. the way they jostle and joke and sleep on each other's shoulders and make crude jokes and prank each other.
he wants it, he tastes it salty on his tongue. he gets very well acquainted with his hand. he keeps his head down and wears his glasses and plaid shirts, just far enough on the outside to not get dragged into the clubhouse dynamics he observes from behind the wall of the fishbowl
and then they all stay the same, but will keeps getting older, and before he knows it, he's in his late thirties, and older than every player in that locker room, but it still feels like they're dad's friends, and he still has lurid fantasies where they hold him down and fuck him. But. He's dealing with it.
so that's Will
enter Hannibal
I don't know what the fuck Hannibal's backstory would be to get him to this point; frankly it feels necessary that he would have some sort of childhood trauma informing his entire vibe. but let's pick up with him at age 15 or 16, and he's getting involved in the Japanese leagues
He's obsessed with Baseball.
Well
He's obsessed with hurtling rock-like objects at human beings at high speeds.
Baseball is a sublimation of that obsession and he pursues it gleefully
I think it'd be easier for him to slip his way into the Japanese leagues to start with because I think it'd be easier for him to lie convincingly there
because the culture of baseball in Japan isn't as diametrically opposed to Hannibal's entire aesthetic in quite the way the American baseball culture is
anyway he somehow socially engineers his way into a kinesiology degree, and maybe some pitching coaching
and he's very pleased for many years doing secret things that nobody knows about
flash forward thirty years to him getting hired as head pitching coach on the team that Will works for
i think Will would be fascinated by Hannibal's ability to code switch
He dresses down and acts like one of the guys when he's coaching, you literally would not recognize him. slides much closer to Nigel than Hannibal. but it's all a performance.
Hannibal's whole personality changes if he's speaking to the team owners, or even the team manager
he's a chameleon. he's very comfortable in every situation.
he's one of a kind
and the stats, somehow, SOMEHOW, show Will something absolutely mind-boggling
which is that, somehow, somehow, buried in the data, there's a statistically significant trend suggesting that hannibal is deliberately coaching the pitchers to throw in the top of the zone more often. they're missing at the top of the zone more often than missing at the bottom of the zone. they're getting tired faster. it's completely absurd.
Will tells Jack about this, but the team is having an absolutely blessed season, their record is way over .500, and Jack is entirely uninterested in messing with a good thing.
but this cannot be the secret sauce that's making them win. it's just not possible. this trend means that when the pitchers get tired, they lob one right down mainstreet, instead of burying one in the dirt -- when the pitchers blow up, they blow up bad
but things are smooth sailing despite all that. jack thinks it doesn't matter if hannibal is giving the pitchers bad technique, because hannibal is clearly winning the head game with their confidence, and that's making all of the difference. he starts calling hannibal "dr. lecter" and the players pick it up as well.
will stalks hannibal and pores through the data, blah blah blah, relationship development and tension and AU stuff and romance.
eventually we discover that hannibal's anachronistically gothic library at home is full of manuscripts and artworks and historical tomes about humans being stoned to death
and he's got some kind of like. framed oil painting. of randy johnson murdering that fucking mourning dove with a 100mph fastball
hannibal has sketchbooks full of little drawings of medical diagrams of the human skull. and reparative surgeries.
and basically. basically. hannibal just wants to ply the strings of fate just enough that one day, one day, he'll get to watch someone get murdered by a baseball. he's obsessed with the idea of seeing human brain matter smeared on the backstop.
and will is horrified by this but literally no one believes him, because it's absolutely ridiculous
and eventually hannibal seduces Will, as one does, and they conspire to make the murder pitch even more likely. the end.
also maybe will gets some dick at some point

21.05.2023
Solved some questions from rheumatology block today and brushed up on lower limb anatomy. I would study anatomy everyday and still be the weakest in the subject😒. Made a good cup of hazelnut coffee. Random backstory time: My resting heart rate used to be on the higher end since my childhood. It took me a long years of aerobic exercises along with caffeine restriction to reduce them to normal. For someone who is obsessed with coffee it was very difficult cutting down on my coffee from 3 cups a day to less that one cup a week. But this definitely helped me alleviate my symptoms of anxiety. Therefore consuming a good coffee after a long time definitely hit different today🤌🏾✨

Evan was used to the sounds of clanging metal and loud music when he was at the gym at home, it was fair more peaceful here - probably helped that most people were either by the pool or still having breakfast.
He took out of one of his earbuds as a woman in the hotels uniform approached him, he’d seen her a couple of times, she was the woman who did all the physical activities, she’d tried to get him to join in with the aqua aerobics yesterday, he’d politely declined - instead choosing to watch for his sun-bed with Ravi.
“I have a pilates class in here in 15 minutes, I don’t want to disturb your workout.” She smiles, “I’m Lucy, I do all the exercise activities here.”
“That’s rough, I can’t imagine many people want to do exercise on vacation.” Evan laughs, “I saw on the itinerary that you are helping out with the cocktail making class later?”
“Kameron is pregnant so I get the honour of tasting all the cocktails she shows people how to make to.” She says, wiggling her eyebrows, “That’s why my pilates is early.”
“I’ll be out of your hair when your pilates starts.” Evan says, “But I will definitely be seeing you for that cocktail class.”
“You’re Evan aren’t you?” She asks, sitting on the machine next to him, not to work out but to talk. “Eddie told me about you.”

Papas helping their Transmasc Partner with Period pains
Note: I know this is a rather personal subject for each individual, so I tried to keep every response varied from Papa to Papa. I know not everyone shares the same type of preferences, and what works for one person might not work for the other. Please enjoy as I tried to keep it different to suit a few different scenarios and situations! As always, feedback is always super appreciated! :) 
Also trigger warning for references to gender dysphoria and general period talk! 
Papa Nihil: One would describe Nihil as a partner as well meaning but sometimes rather daft. Typically not out of maliciousness, but usually from his own lack of understanding. But what Nihil does know is that he cares about you and hates seeing you not feeling well. Especially this time of the month when it can be the worst physically and emotionally. One day he casually just asks why don’t you just stop your period. If you hate experiencing it and hate the way it makes you feel less masculine… why not stop it? You, understandably, stare at him for the over simplified suggestion. The only thing preventing you from being upset was the sheer genuineness of the question. But before you answer Nihil continues on about how several members of the high ministry use the Clergy’s stupidly good medical coverage to help. “Do you know how many men here stopped their periods? Why not you too, Caro? We use MY doctors!” This is how you found yourself sitting with one of the premiere doctors employed by the ministry to talk about all of your hormone and physical options. Nihil is there with you excited that you were getting steps to transitio
Papa I: If anyone in the ministry is equipped to help you, outside of healer ghouls, it’s definitely Papa. Forget the pills you were going to take, the man has an entire APOTHECARY in your kitchen! Papa is more prepared for your symptoms than YOU are sometimes. He’s the first one by your side with a homemade brew and herbal paste. Anything to kill the pain before it starts. Something you noticed, too, is that during these times Papa tries to be very keen on your mood. He knows sometimes this time of the month just has you very down on yourself. Papa recognizes there is only so much he can do and say as a supportive partner. So there is no shame in asking someone else with more experience to help. Papa one day asks if you’d like to talk to someone who has gone through the same thing you are going through right now. When you say yes you are surprised to find yourself in the office of Papa IV! Who happily is there for any advice or just venting about your shared experiences. You end up making a good friend out of Papa IV, while still being pampered by your attentive partner!   
Papa II: Papa would never admit he’s always ill equipped to help you when you’re sick or in pain. He loves you dearly, but his first instinct is to bark at the medical staff to assist. It’s his way of caring. However, he does know one thing about that type of cramping; and that it can be helped with EXERCISE! And unfortunately for you, he LOVES exercise. Imagine your surprise when you waddled out of bed exhausted and grumpy to find a brand new jogging suit and sneakers laid out for you… you didn’t even know Versace MADE work out gear. “Caro, we are going to the gym.” You stared at him at first in disbelief. You felt like shit and he wanted to WORK OUT? But you had to give in when he insisted and the light exercise made you feel much better! It started with walks, light aerobics, and even Yoga (which Papa was rubbish at but INSISTED on joining you in). At first, this was just a monthly routine that REALLY helped cut down the pain… but you both found yourselves doing more and more. Not just during your times you were in pain, but just going when you both felt like it! Suddenly you were a master at easing your cramps and even started feeling more confident in the way you moved in general! The next thing you know you’re Papa’s favorite boxing buddy and you both couldn’t be happier! 
Papa III: Papa always knows when you’re dealing with cramps. He’s a firm believer that laughter and love are the best medicines! You know the same joke is coming whenever he comes home and sees you on the first day of your cycle. Papa always looks at your slumped form on the couch and yells the same thing he always does. “CARO MIO! MY LOVE! What’s wrong with your handsome face?? Did you hurt yourself falling for me again??” It never gets old! From the beginning, Papa has always been attuned to your needs. His primary focus was always finding ways to make you more comfortable and getting you out of pain. Papa looks for ways to make your cycle a little more bearable and light hearted. No one wants to be in pain for a week! You’ve come to find he likes to bring humor to the situation to help you both be less irritable and know that you are in a safe and comfortable place. He’s happy to get you some pain killers and joke about how the best medicine is cuddling him- charming eyebrow wiggles and all. Papa always feels powerless any time you are hurt or sick, so to him laughter and smiles are the best medicine. That, and sometimes matters don’t always HAVE to be serious. You’ve appreciated that as sometimes you just don’t want things to be a big fucking deal.   
Papa IV/Cardinal Copia: If anyone has your back about this, it’s your loveable dork Copia. Because he had been dealing with those same problems FOR DECADES! Granted, he hasn’t had one for a while but he sure as Hell can help! Copia knows all the tricks from before his cycles stopped, and has been a bottomless well of knowledge and support for you! Most of his knowledge has helped you find the right products to get through your cycle without too much mental stress. Before dating him, you didn’t even KNOW you could use a packer to hide a pad! Copia hooks you up with everything you need! Whether it’s advice on keeping your chest comfortable during peak tenderness, the best comfy clothes so you can keep working, or just the best over the counter remedies for pain. He’s your guide and helper through it all! You’re delighted to know everything he recommends works! What’s even better? He’s always there to be as loving or to give you as much space as you need. Copia will even insist that the best cure for pain and hormones is PASTA! Will make you so much!

Harvey with the Tall!Farmer s/o:
Honestly, Harvey got scared of the Farmer the first time they came to the Valley.
They looked quite menacing, and tall, and buff, and plus the rather unusual behavior generally frightened him.
But they turned out to be a very nice person, and began to be Harvey's good friends, and then generally got married.
Why are you so tall and pumped up, Farmer? And beautiful. And nice, and kind, and brave. Are you ever real? How could they like someone like Harvey?
At the same time, Harvey always blushes, like the first time he does doctoral duties and examines the Farmer. You know, muscles and everything...
If they carry Harvey in their arms, the poor doctor will be speechless (in a good way, of course).
He was surprised, but he would be extremely happy if the Farmer joined him for aerobics lessons. With his spouse in the Pelican Town, no one will definitely laugh, and the ladies are happy - a new addition to the group!
Harvey will turn redder than a tomato if the Farmer offers private aerobics lessons. They will, of course, be engaged in aerobics, but this does not mean that it can smoothly turn into something else. 😏
The Farmer is a real hero who will open any jar of his favorite pickles!
Over a mug of hot coffee, the Harvey will ask them what diet and exercises they follow. Constant praise from the doctor for how much their spouse maintains a healthy and active lifestyle.
He also tries to be more active and eat the healthy food, although the Farmer loves Harvey just the way the Harvey is.

Thoughts at 8am...
We went to the beach yesterday and actually swam in the ocean!
Surprisingly, It was the first time W has ever done that!
It was a warm day, but the wind was blowing about 9mph, and gusty. The water was a really cold 58 degrees too.
But we bought swimsuits/rash guards, and polarized wide goggles, and went in! I swam a bit.. god it's been years since I did that! I then did some good stretches and water exercises which I'm feeling today, but it was so nice to be able to move in water again. Some of you may remember that I used to do pool aerobics after my back injury and it helped a lot with my pain and strength. Once COVID hit, well... that stopped completely.
Since it was a first time, there were some hiccups and lessons learned.
The swim shoes are a must and worked great. I'm still a big believer that you never go barefoot into the water or in the sand. I've seen too many people get glass cuts and wood splinters and step on all sorts of things.
The wide goggles worked great. I miss my old ones that were mirrored but these are nice, fit comfortably, no leakage. Most importantly, when out of the water they basically double as sunglasses which is super important.
My rash guard is nice, and swim trunks are comfortable. But I think we'd both be more comfortable in a 3 or 4mm wetsuit... which is a bit pricier. Also I don't know if I have the ability to get into one anymore as it always involved a lot of twisting and tugging and with my injuries - those aren't things I can do.
The new sand blanket worked great. It's a sea turtle design and we actually bought 2 because W loves it so much she hung it as a tapestry on her wall.
The microfiber towels... I'm not as impressed with. I need to figure that out.
I also think we need a full size tent for changing.
Bring a bottle of tap water to wash our feet at the car.
The pool float things worked great but were hard to inflate/deflate. But oh boy was it fun for w to lay on it like a hammock and I just pulled her around like a swim weight. Definitely added a bit of resistance and was fun :) I was able to lay on it as well, and sit on it to do some stretches. So that's a win!
I need to figure out the packing/unpacking better. Might want a second big blue bag which might help.
We need to scope out more beach area to find the one with the least walking distance from water to parking lot. There are a few options.
I think i need to bring a wide brim swim hat next time to keep my head safe from sunburns and stuff.
I want a frisbee.
We tried to go "light" on gear this time, I don't really think it worked. We didn't put up any tents, didn't bring out the chairs, no tables or umbrellas, but still had a bunch of stuff.
We'll get better at it :) But any advice is always appreciated!

Exercise = done.
DD was 40 get-ups. Split that into 2 sets of 10/10. Was pushing muscle failure on the right side there (left side had just a smidge more stamina). But I managed to get this done. Very intense but definitely one of those more functional exercises - very much recruits a lot of muscles you use to get up off the floor.
Day 3 of the BP was done at Level 3, one superset. Given this program is meant to be more aerobic than the prior - there's going to be mixed muscle groupings here. Did the balance stand without chair assist.

The hall splits at the end of the locker room and you take the path marked "Natatorium" instead of "Gymnasium". You step out onto the well lit, tile pool deck. You are astonished by the size of the place! It has high ceilings and despite you thinking you just went underground the far wall is all window looking out on an outdoor atrium cut into the hillside to create a walled, outdoor exercise space as well. To your right is another all-glass wall between the exercise equipment and the pool. The pool deck has three individual pools and a hot tub. And there are definitely some staff taking advantage of the facilities. But it is clearly mostly occupied by the patients. And WHAT patients! There are pregnant bellies in bikinis EVERYWHERE. Some are still using one-piece suits who are not that far along or not carrying that many. But it is clear that prospective grant recipients don't fit into a one piece. Grant recipients in late term pregnancies are wearing bikinis clearly made of the characteristic white, Breedco Stretch 3.0 to contain their maternal abundance. One of the pools is currently being taken up by a led maternity aerobics class. While the other pools have a regular assortment of swimming, wading, and exercising clients. There must be at least fifty women in here who look nine months pregnant with their huge, bare bellies bulging out between the two halves of a bikini. And in addition to that about two dozen look ABNORMALLY pregnant, from overdue with twins to what must be at least septuplets. And where the breast size distribution is pretty typical across those in the natatorium, those top 20+ women are WELL endowed. Most of them are in white stretch outfits but a few are still wearing off-the-shelf bikinis that probably should have been traded out by now from how much pillowy bosom is overflowing them. You can see that the gym is far less well attended, maybe a dozen people total. A hand full look like they are in late term pregnancies. And you are momentarily distracted by a woman on a treadmill facing the pool who's sports bra is doing verry little to restrain the bouncing of her EE-cups above her seven-month pregnant looking tummy. You haven't gotten in the water yet, but you are already SOAKING WET somewhere!
