AGEAB
(or AAAB if you like triple-A jokes)
A neoassignment for when you feel that were Assigned Agender/Genderless At Birth.
This label is for people who feel that they have always been genderless, and reject being defined by or forced into AMAB/AFAB/AIAB labels. It is an AGABpunk label like AKAB (kenochoric) or AGABless.

Hot Francis null take but the materialist feminist idea that you "can't opt out of gender" is true, yes, but not in the way a lot of materialist feminists (usually cis or tme) think. there ARE ways in which outside forces can gender you as neither male nor female/unaligned and people like (refuse to mention the name because i know I'll be treated as an immaterialist ahistorical idiot) refuse to understand that it's possible to be gendered consistently by others as neither man nor woman/a failed man and failed woman at the same time

Expargrey ( may also be spelled as Expargray )
An Intersex individual who is unsure or doubtful of their assigned gender at birth ( for any reason ) and as a result, feels as if they are Exparium no matter what gender modality / identity they are.
This can also cover AGABless, AGAB-rejecting, and similar Intersex individuals if they feel like their experience(s) fall under this term. It can also include those who know their AGAB is false or coerced but are unsure of anything beyond knowing that. It's opt-in and intentionally broad ( hence it being a Grey- / Gray- term, covering the whole "Grey area" )
Flag is free to be used anywhere but if you're perisex please be respectful of the intersex experiences it represents!

I designed the first transmascfem flag. I too was questioning if I'm intersex or not. I had ambivalent opinions whether it's intersex-exclusive or not.
The pressure that certain labels bring is the fault of cisnormativity. because of my sex traits, bio-essentialists would say I'm no fem (currently) and I have no right to reclaim (identity lane for self-identifying as) transfem. if genders are social/sociopolitical aspects of us, why not could we experience such trans identities?
in the past, many people satirized us as recugender, circumgender (formerly "specialgender"), etc. but now I see a shift from a movement of people reclaiming "amab transmasc", neoagabs/agabless/agab nonconforming, etc. I think this is so accepting of people like me, who is "cis-coded"/"cis-passing" and hypermasculine-presenting.
but I know that if I say I'm transmasc, people would assume I have a specific corporeality. and that's the biopolitical communication that labels bring. that's why I prefer to stay (internally) indifferent towards specific things of my gender when I'm talking with supposedly cisnormative binary-minded people
I think the flag you designed is very pretty :)
Thanks for sharing! Transfemmasc/amab transmasc/afab transfem are all very interesting labels that it's good to hear more about.

can I ask ur opinion on the term “agabless” ! it’s basically for people who want to tear away from the agab label system and don’t want to identity with being any agab? or just not wanting people to publicly know their agab so separating from it. also trans people identifying as the opposite agab when they weren’t .. like saying “Im a trans man and call myself amab” /gen
Re wording: agabless is a lot of things lke when reject the agab system, reject your own or feel disconnect to it, don’t want to reveal it, don’t like terms that are for specific agabs and want them to be more open to all or don’t want to use them at all.. from what I’ve gathered .. also the term aldernics exists .. which is off topic but describing wanting a different internal or external body which can be about gender sex species etc … just wanted to see what u thought about these and if u think they are useful terms ! (2/2)
Hey anon.
have never heard of agabless before. i will be honest it sort of confuses me because i'm not quite sure i understand how it is being used. again, i think i mainly see agab as an event at a point in time rather than an identity, i guess. so agabless doesn't make a ton of sense to me because i guess i don't think of my own agab as something that comes up a lot, so i'm curious like, in what ways are people agabs coming up enough that it's relevant for them to create a term? because for me my agab is basically only relevant when i'm doing legal documents or going to the doctor. other wise i'll just say that i'm a trans intersex guy, that i don't experience transmisogyny, that i have a uterus and a womb...whatever is relevant to the situation. very rarely do i actually go around saying that i'm afab, or when i do it's not something i really conceptualize as a current part of my identity. i guess i don't really understand how agabless would be used enough for me to have an opinion on whether it's a useful term or not. i don't think it would be useful for me but like, i'm not in charge of how other people think or what language they want to use.
in terms of aldernic, i will admit i'm not the most comfortable with it in terms of how close it is to the concept of altersex (and parsex and varsex. and i think i've talked about it on here about how i fucking hate varsex lmfao.) i don't have an issue with MOGAI labels in general or the idea of really specific labels--i will admit hyperspecific labels defintely not my personal preference or how i understand myself, but i'm not going to judge people who do feel comfortable using those and it brings them joy. but i do not like the concept of altersex/parsex/varsex and i feel like the aldernic identities that relate to wanting a mix of sex characteristics make me uncomfortable. i don't really like it when dyadic people create labels to describe their feelings about essentially wanting to be intersex. i think that if you're a dyadic person who wants to have a mix of sex characeristics, that's fine, and i think it's fine to talk about that or talk about wanting a mix of surgeries or wanting to do certain things with your hormones, or whatever. i don't think that's something that dyadic trans and nonbinary people need to like, keep a secret, but i do think that they do need to just be conscious of the way they talk about it. and i personally do get uncomfortable when people who desire a mix of sex characteristics turn that into an identity label because to me, that gets too close to fetishizing us. aldernic seems better than altersex and varsex, but the entire concept of creating a label for that experience just does make me uncomfortable and i don't think i'll ever be happy with a label that does that.
overall tho? like not to be rude, but these labels are so rarely used that it really doesn't bother me enough to say anything about it, because this literally just isn't an issue in my life. yeah, i think they can be kind of offensive, and if tons of people started using them i probably would start to take more of an issue about it, but i literally just don't see it used enough to make me want to get involved in it.
other intersex people, feel free to add on or disagree in the comments. go wild.

hi!!! I saw u mention agabpunk before? is there anymore info u have to elaborate on it? would it include being an agab but choosing to identify as a different agab (not just gender but AGAB bc u reject the one u had) or wanting to not have an agab or have it revealed to people? Honestly interests me so much I have a lot of feelings on it and would love to see more terms related to these concepts .. bc I want to id as a different agab and also agables and don’t want people to know or assume mine at all
OHnim sorry for asking I didn’t realize asks were closed I wasn’t trying to request anything btw
Even though coining requests are closed it's still okay to request information about something!
AGABpunk is a label I made up a couple months ago to match other labels like dyspunk or amatopunk. Basically going against social norms and radically accepting things.
It was just one word idea I came up with (along with AGABqueer, AntiGAB, AGABf*ck, etc) to describe people who reject being defined by something they were labeled as decades ago.
I've had a couple people say neoassignments/AGAB-rejecting terms could fit under AGAB non-conforming, and that's true! But I wanted a more specific term to describe the movement in general. The original ask (here) was less "I don't conform to the AMAB/AFAB binary" and more "I am intentionally going against that binary, I don't like the normalization of that binary, etc".
It's kind of like the difference between gender non-conforming and terms like genderpunk, genderf*ck, or gender piracy. They're much more active (loud? rebellious? queer, even? I don't know a good word for it).
People have been playing around with this concept for a very long time, with jokes and sayings like: "I was assigned trans at birth" "not amab or afab but a secret, new third thing" (slur warning ->) "I'm actually afag" "not amab/afab, I'm aPerson" "I wasn't amab or afab, I was a baby". I have heard all of those and more and figured that making neo terms was just the next level of that.
And here are some terms that you may be interested in anon:
-AGABless: not identifying with an AGAB.
-A?AB: viewing your AGAB as irrelevant, or not wanting to tell it to others.
-SAGAB: self-assigning your sex/gender.
-AXEAB: assigned xenogender at birth. The link goes to the archived assigned kenochoric at birth (AKAB) coining but if you scroll down you'll see AXEAB too.
Plus some terms I've made up:
-A_AB: assigned nothing at birth. When you think that you weren't really assigned a gender/sex at birth, you were just a baby that the doctor looked at and wrote things down for. After all, things like recorded weight (and name, if you're trans) also become practically irrelevant as you develop into a person.
-A[]AB (or A⬛︎AB): AGAB-redacted. Refusing to tell people who don't need to know your AGAB, and feeling like it's an invasive question. This especially goes for nonbinary people who are constantly being asked "but which one were you born as?".
-ÆAB: assigned gender/neogender/xenogender at birth. For anyone with a weird gender, or multiple of them, who wants to say that they've always been that gender in a nontraditional way. Kind of like MtM/FtF for binary trans people. The name has the "e" from gender and I combined it with the A. AAAB and AKAB can potentially fall under this.
-AGABvoid: kind of like AGABless and inspired by gendervoid. Why won't you tell people your AGAB? Why don't you have a connection to it? Because it's missing, that's why! You've somehow lost it. (This was written in a very joke-y way but feel free to actually use this term)
It could also be possible I guess to identify with multiple, conflicting, or all AGABs (panAGAB???). For example I know some intersex people will call themself both AMAB and AFAB but perisex people can also do that.

so, hey. have only fronted a few times but i feel like this will last a couple days or so. i used to be very angry (partially justified but i had some shit opinions that culminated in a LOT of anger and also high blood pressure lmao) but i've calmed down once i vented that a lot of my anger is at weird disability community politics over certain disabilities being more "acceptable". so basically. i'm francis null, i'm into doom patrol, imperial radch, really any sorta sci-fi/spec-fic/fantasy to a lesser extent, and android/mannequin/humanoid but featureless and null as possible aesthetics. i'm 27 years old, tme and agabless (it's complicated but in headspace there's literally nothing down there), and if you ask me my gender and sexuality i'm literally just going to tell you "what are you, a cop?". i'm not straight though. i like women and i like nonbinary people and i think i like men but i'm not sure. so yeah. hi. i hope you like me
