so either I am very chill (with some things) or I let people walk all over me

#tbh I don’t know #the thing is that I always avoid conflict and maybe sometimes I do it at my expense #like for example #i have to go to the office once a week (every other week is to one office and the next week to the other one)#my coworkers and i enjoy more going to the first office than to the second one #the offices are around the same distance from my house but one is much more comfortable and overall nice #this week we were called to the first office even though we were schedule to do to the second one #our manager (from the second office) doesn’t like it when we can’t go to her office #and next week is Easter week (which I asked for days off) and we have only two working days #one of my coworkers was thinking on traveling with his family and working from wherever he was that day #bc the day we were supposed to go to the second office is a holiday #but our manager told us (them) to instead go in on Wednesday #and it sucks for him #and now the idea that they have come up with us to go two days to the office the week after that (first week of April) instead #and my coworkers came up with that plan just for them since I am on vacation next week #but our manager included me in that plan #which is not that bad tbh #but in past days when something like this happens (our schedule is moved or something) one of my coworkers is the first one to complain #he does it in a very polite way so it’s ok #but i try to go with the flow bc they’re not asking me for something really big #idk #i try to avoid conflict and hope we all get along #is that too bad?#idk tbh #mariana.txt

Fish Are Friends Not Abominations

The entire Justice League have been on edge lately watching as a giant creature the size of planet dart around the Milky Way galaxy in an almost panicked state. Despite it's very appearent size it hasn't done anything harmful, passing through planets and stars with intangibility.

Constantine on the other hand was freaking the fuck out. There was a giant realms being with a crazy amount of power searching for something and it felt like the universe itself was holding its breath. He was honestly at his witts end when he felt it.

"YOU! What do you have?" He stopped his pacing to look at Batman's traffic light child.

"That's none of your concern." Robin snapped back.

"Robin." Batman's voice cut through their little conversation. By now every JL memeber was watching them.

"It's nothing–"

"Oh yes it is, now let me see it."

As if on que a tiny glowing humanoid creature popped into view ontop of Robin's head cooing and making warbled noises.

Constantine paled.

Robin took the being from his head and held it in his arms, pulling out a batarang and giving it to the thing which then began to bite it.

"Robin." Batman started, voice firm but sounding tired.

"This one found me first." He countered.

"It doesn't matter how you found it, we need to–" Constantine's words were cut off as the large creature released a noise that sounded almost like a whale but something like warbled speech mixed into it. What happened next sent his heartbeat into a marathon and his stomach to a deep trench.

Robin's little creature stopped chewing on its toy and responded with a cry of its own.

Welp they were fucked now.

The large creature's head snapped to their direction, eyes directly on the watchtower as if it could perfectly see them from such a distance and sped towards their location.

I watched Starship Troopers tonight.

#personal #dumb #my art #immediately after finishing i was pumped to watch some analysis vids on it #cuz i heard a lot of the drama about the original author being a pro military fascist and the director going “fuck that” and making a satir #scrolling through youtube search results was not promising. lots of male film buffs i would Not trust even on a first glance.#“The Critical Drinker” (pfp of a bearded man drinking alcohol) lol.#and then I saw cinemawins did a video on it and was like oh nice i haven't seen his stuff in a while but he's a pretty leftist creator #scrolled through the comments #second panel face #this sucks i'm outta here.#just leagues and leagues and leagues of anime pfps and right leaning people dogpiling on him for “not understanding what fascism is”#idk it's pretty alien and weird to me watching this movie and going “wow yeah that was pretty obvious huh” like literally the from opening #to the teacher preaching militance and only giving voting rights to “those who serve their nation first and earn it”#and then seeing droves of people online going #WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? It's not anti-fascist and even if it was it's #the director's fault for desecrating heinlein's incredible sci-fi epic vision. ermm media literacy is dead.

No one mentions how academically intelligent Halsin is, specifically to do with biology.

My man was leading the druids in teaching about it. Nettie specifically says she couldn't tell you more about the tadpole because Halsin was the one studying it, and he would understand it better.

This being the first time he'd ever studied anything Ilithid, and him figuring out it was altered by magic? He's the first one to tell you what's so different about it. He may not have been able to cure you, but he knew more than anyone from the get-go just by looking at one tadpole. Not talking to any true souls, not having met you yet.

Halsin is incredibly smart, I wish we had some kind of interaction with him that we could tell him that. He deserves more credit than being "the big bear man".
