NaNoWriMo Day #15
[masterlist]
Tumblr media
=============‹«⟨··•∞•··⟩»›=============
Tim stared at the young red-headed woman sitting across from him in mutual horror. He couldn't remember exactly how he'd gotten into this situation, the last thing he could remember for sure was the fact he'd been on five consecutive days without sleep, which, really, meant anything could have happened between then and now.
A glowing green sausage landed in between him and the young woman, who looked an awful lot like Babs, now that he thought about it, with a slight splat, before getting up and releasing a tiny war cry. It was about to charge Tim when a green blast from his right put the food item out of its misery. Throughout all this, Tim and the young woman never broke eye contact.
"—tom, that menace. If it knows what's good for it, it'll stay far away from Amity Park once we finish the upgrades to the Fenton Strainer! Aren't the two of you hungry? You're letting the ecto-sausages escape!" The man to Tim's left exclaimed. He was wearing some type of orange and black hazmat suit, his hair was black, though it was greying on the sides, and his ice blue eyes held a manic glint to them that Tim didn't like.
The redhead stood up suddenly and cleared her throat. "Sorry, dad, uh, Danny and I just realized we forgot to clean the ecto-filters on the portal, again. May we be excused? We'll grab something to eat later, alright? Love you, thanks! Goodnight!" She said as she rounded the table, grabbing Tim's arm in a white knuckled grip on her way past him into the basement. She shut the door rather pointedly and shuffled him down the stairs into a rather cliche modern mad scientist lab. As Tim glanced around the lab, the Babs lookalike started pacing back and forth, muttering under her breath. Finally, after almost two full minutes of this, she paused and took a deep breath before turning to look at him. "You're not Danny," she declared.
Tim stared at her for a moment. "I'm glad we're both on the same page about that. Who's Danny?"
She gazed at him thoughtfully. "He's my brother. Why do you look so much like my brother? There's way too much resemblance for you to simply be his doppelganger."
"How should I know, I don't even know where I am, let alone who your brother is or what he looks like," he retorted. He looked around the lab again. "Speaking of, where am I? And how did I even get here?"
"Oh, wow," she snorted, eyes widening and covering her mouth with a hand. "You act a lot like Danny. You're in Amity Park, Illinois, in the basement lab of Fenton Works. I'm guessing we somehow picked you up in Gotham a day or two ago, we only got back last night. You were pretty out of it the entire time, either sleeping or mumbling to yourself while staring out the window in a daze."
Tim's eyes widened in shock and a slight bit of horror. "I've been gone for two days?!" He cried. His hands came up to clutch at his hair. "Ohh, Bruce must be so worried!" Tim fought the urge to dig through his pockets for his phone, knowing that wouldn't help anything. He distinctly remembered dropping it in his coffee on day four of no sleep, embarrassingly enough. It had sadly been beyond help. "Wait," he said as something occurred to him. He was almost hesitant to ask, but he knew he needed to. "If I'm here with you guys... Then where's Danny?" The young woman's eyes widened as she breathed a soft curse under her breath.
=============‹«⟨··•∞•··⟩»›=============
Later that night, a cheerfully maniacal laugh echoed through the streets of Gotham, chasing the roar of a motorcycle, sending shivers down the spines of goons and common criminals alike. They had learned the night before to dread that sound. They may be desperate, but none of them were stupid.
"Nope, nope, not happening, I am not going out tonight," Bill muttered as he shut his door and engaged the locks. He quickly sent out a PSA to the rest of the Goonion to stay off the streets, hoping they'd heed his warning. The Red Hood had found a white haired, green eyed friend, and it was a match made in hell.
=============‹«⟨··•∞•··⟩»›=============
Okay, so this is shorter than I'd originally planned it to be, but there's a reason for that! This literally came to me in a dream, but it was all disjointed, and when I woke up to Tumblr mobile's dark theme not working, I couldn't work on it without practically blinding myself (I have fairly sensitive eyes), so by the time they managed to fix the issue with the color palettes on mobile, I'd forgotten some of my dream... It's not the best excuse, but it is the truth (^~^;)ゞ sorry... But I managed to sneak Bill and the Goonion from The Panda Red's content in! I'm proud of that ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
Also, I totally meant to have Tim and Jazz introduce themselves at some point, but, uhh (• ▽ •;) I forgot (´-﹏-`;) oops... And now I can't figure out the best place to have them organically introduce themselves, either, so ¯\_༼ ಥ ‿ ಥ ༽_/¯ we're just going to leave it!
Thank you all for your comments and support! It means so much to me <( ̄︶ ̄)> you guys rock (◠‿・)—☆
Have a good morning/day/night!

So I'm currently hyperfixed on Danny Phantom and DC crossover and I really enjoyed reading Danny and Damian are twins Au. I read a lot fics and promps but they aren't enough ( there are never enough great fics in this world) and I got inspired and got this idea and it won't let go of me.... So I decided to get it out of my system so that I can concentrate on my exams but I also want people to read and tell me their thoughts about it. So I thought I share the "rough work" and later I will edit and post it on AO3 but yeah. (some infos before I do know nothing and do what I want)
Here my work in process :
Twin skeletons
Danny just wanted to go to the astronomy exhibition in Natural History museum of Gotham city, just for some peaceful hours there nothing bothers him, maybe even go to the apartly new planetarium. Being away from Amity Park, his ghost hunting parents with their obsession with ripping him apart molecule by molecule and the whole ghost attacks  (he would be able to get a few more hours of sleep) was just a plus.
He was excited about the trip! His core was humming and he felt at ease, no ghost fighting and no one hunting him for a few days, just some peaceful days in the most crime ridden city in the United States. It would be like a vacation.
But Danny should have known better than to get his hopes up, nothing ever goes according to plan for him.
And let's be honest here, he really should have known better, his school trip goes to Gotham city of all places, the most dangerous city in the United States (one can never say it enough). Who in their right mind even though it was a good idea to take a few teenager, who only knows danger in form from ghost attacks and the driving skills of the Fenton family and have no sense of self protection, and take them to a big city overrun with guns and drugs and psychotic criminals and crime fighting vigilantes? The adults of Amity Park apartly. (maybe the adults have also lost every ounce of common sense they owned other the last two and a half years)
But that is beside the point, the point is Danny just wanted to see the astronomy exhibition, not held at gunpoint from a red helmet vigilante, with really strange vibes that made his ghost sense go harwire, after some criminal bombed the museum and held them hostage for whatever reason.
The first day started so promisingly well, they were supposed to get a tour through Wayne Enterprise. The tour through Wayne Enterprise went pretty well and was interesting, if not a little bit strange. Danny had the feeling everyone at the company was looking at him then he wasn't looking. It was probably nothing, it happens in Amity Park all the time(he just ignores the fact that he is not in Amity anymore and the usual reasons he is in the middle of the attention, his parents or the ghosts, are not here at the moment. And he is pretty sure he is Danny not Phantom).
The second day they had the Museum tour where they could room afterwards as much as they liked and Danny really, really wanted some time without Dash being the bully that he is. The tour was nice, and just as the nice lady wanted to finish the tour, somewhere in the building an explosion went off.
The lady shrieked, Danny's classmates are either looking curious for the source or talking about ghost attacks vs. Criminals, while Mr. Lancer tries and fails to get everyone to calm down so they could evacuate and Danny just curses his rotten luck.
The next thing they knew, there were masked criminals binding them with zip ties and taking them hostage because 'if we take hostages we have a better chance of getting away from the bats'. Their words, not Danny's.
Not fifteen minutes afterwards -Danny thought about the pros and cons about doing something against these criminals himself - a red helmeted, leather wearing hero comes gun shooting towards their rescue.
Hooray, lucky them.
And now, he has the gun pointed towards his face.
"What the fuck are you?!" Besides the electronic modulation, his growl was pretty impressive or a living human, although Danny was still not sure if the hero really was living.
"Okay, first of all, rude. Second, what is your problem? And third, could you take the gun out of my face? I really like my shirt and it would be a shame if it got ruined with blood and brain mass."
Red Hood did nothing for a long time but then he lowered his gun but did not put it away. Waving a hand behind himself in the vague direction of his class, grinning Danny speaks again.
" Are we free to go? I think my teacher is either having a stroke soon or he thinks about taking you on, it will probably be a lecture about treating kids. On a second thought. Please do shoot, I'm not keen on being lectured again, but don't ruin my shirt. I want to be buried in it. "
Red Hood's hand twitched and Danny grin grew even larger, showing his set of fangs. It's a shame Danny can't see the hero's face, it would be hilarious to read his reaction but the helm or the modified voice didn't give away a hint of his thoughts but Danny hoped he was at least a little bit irrational.
"Whatever kid."
Danny waved goodbye before going back to his classmates.
Red Hood just stayed long enough to see the boy looking towards his teacher with what looks like his best innocent face. "Mr. Lancer, I suppose we can't perhaps go back towards the astronomy exhibition?"
The teacher just signs and guides his snickering students out of the museum.
What the hell was wrong with the kid?!
Jason knew he needed to tell Bruce about the kid, he was nearly a carbon copy of the demon brat, and another Robin clone was never a good thing, especially now then something big is about to happen and there is yet not enough to say what.
He should really tell Bruce, Jason knew it but something tells him not to. The moment the kid stood behind Jason's back, he thought there was something dangerous, something absolutely terrifying, something that made the Lazarus water go crazy -and for a moment Jason thought he would go into the pit madness- but than it goes all quite, like the Lazarus water itself recognize the Apex predator and hides into the deep of Jason's soul. And it hadn't raised its head ever since. For the first time since his return his mind was quiet and peaceful.
He should really tell Bruce about this kid. If he really is a clone of Damian, then….. Jason does not know but it would only end apocalyptic bad. And if he is no clone then it wouldn't automatically be better.
Grinding his teeth, he dials Dick's number.
It didn't take long for the older man to answer. The surprise was clear in his voice.
" Hey Jason. Weren't you-"
But Jason didn't let him finish. "Dick listen, I-.... There…."
He doesn't know how to say it, or what to say first. Fortunately Dick just wait patiently for Jason to speak again, There must be something in his voice that makes him listen.
" I was at the museum when the hostage situation happened, there was a kid. There…. There was something about the kid. Something dangerous. I put a gun to his head and It frightened the Lazarus water. "
" What do you mean 'put a gun to his Head'?! Jason?! Wait-.... Did you say he 'frightened the Lazarus water'?"
"  Yes, I don't know how else to describe it. The Kid made the pit gone quiet, it's not gone but it's feels like it's hiding and it is quiet and…. peaceful in my mind for the first time since…. Since I returned. Dick. My thoughts, my mind, my emotions, they are my own again without fighting this damned madness."
He took a deep breath but before he can continue Dick speaks first.
"Jason…"
" I'm not finished. That isn't the only thing about this kid. This kid, he could be a carbon copy of the demon brat, maybe it's another clone, maybe it's not but Dick… I have the feeling the kid isn't human, he is dangerous and if he stands against us…. I don't think we stand a chance. "
The older man is quite for a long time and then he speaks again, his tone is dead serious.
" We need to inform Bruce. "
With a deep Sigh, Jason answered. " I feared you would say that. "

Mini-Rant about my Own Series (Aquabirds)
I'm writing the next work of my Aquabird Series (that's the one where the Justice League misunderstands Danny has two people, my Assumed to Share a Body Fics) and I can't help but rave about how I feel about everybody.
Just about everyone in the Justice League's opinions because, the thing is, the Justice League is fully validated for having this assumption. When you live in a world with people like Etrigan and Enchantress and doctor Fate, it just makes sense. They are treating both sides as well as they possibly can, even if I play it up for laughs, they are doing their best.
In the first work, DUCK, Barry treats Phantom and Fenton as two different entities and tries as best not to think about them as the same person. He doesn't want to think of them as the same person (because it'd be rude) so he convinces himself that they aren't. He treats them as equal as two people are. Sure, that's wrong, but it's still something he made an active decision about so he wouldn't hurt his "friends."
When it comes to Cyborg in the next work, GULL, he is more familiar with Fenton than he is with Phantom, though he doesn't really work with either as much. He still feels better about asking Fenton rather than Phantom because he views Danny as the "smart" one and the one actually in charge of the Ecto-Room. Just a light depiction of how Danny is interpreted. (Also, I added the initial misunderstanding with Cyborg about the blackout as a "ISN'T IT SO EASY TO CLEAR A MISUNDERSTANDING WITH COMMUNICATION?" bit. Just some playful addition).
And lastly, during HERON, Hal's fatal flaw was that he was unable to separate Fenton from Phantom. He understands, conceptually, that they are "two different beings" but when he stared at Fenton, all he could see was Phantom. He lashes out with the intent to hurt "Phantom" when all he is hurting is Danny. Hal's second flaw was picking one side to choose and separating them only then. Again, completely wrong, but it's just how I could contrast him with Barry's opinion.
Danny's entirely unaware that they're thinking all of this because he just code switches every time because he's a hero with a secret identity. But when he does it, they think of it as two different people, because they want to see two different people. Not only that, he has serious identity issues with about if someone's going to use him just to get to his other side. Our boy is lonely and has serious identity issues. I mean, take the Spectra episode where he says that he doesn't know what he is. "Yes, no, I don't know." Boy, that's just identity issues. So he thought of the Justice League as accepting him because he told them his identity from the get-go. He saw them treat him with respect and he thought that meant he was safe. With the realization that they thought he was two different people (in HERON), it broke him because he thought he was accepted as a whole, but instead, he was split into two, like he always feared
Anyway, if you stayed long enough for this, here's my recent idea for the next Aquabirds: Shazam and what he thinks. It is a sort of prequel to HERON as to why the rumor of Phantom being two people was so widespread. Billy actually finds out about Danny's situation but is under a different misunderstanding: Danny wants his help with his identity. So Billy does his good nature-ly thing and convinces every hero Fenton and Phantom are two people. Because, sometimes, help is awful.

The Undead Adventurer (2)
When an interrupted resurrection spell leaved Danny halfway between life and death, his adventuring career should have been over. But Danny Fenton won't let something as minor as being regularly mistaken for a member of a zombie horde, or kidnapped by an unknowable monster of death stop him from becoming the strongest adventurer in the world with his best friends by his side.
For the following prompts:
His head spun. He couldn’t see past the light above him. What was it? [from @q-gorgeous]
Fantasy/rpg setting. Danny died, but the resurrection spell went wrong, and now he’s trapped as something not quite dead but not fully alive either. Not that he’d ever let that stop him from becoming an adventurer, even if he does get mistaken as a resident dungeon monster by other adventuring parties every now and then… [from @lexiepiper]
Danny catches the eye of something he shouldn't. (Eldritch affection or soft horror encouraged) [from Ventisette Stars]

Chapter 2: Coastal Combat (first chapter | next)
[Warnings for violence, some explicit language, and themes of death]
After some needling, Danny did agree to take some downtime days to rest, and prepare for their next adventure. They checked into an inn for a few nights, performed maintenance on their gear, and planned where they would go next.
"It's not a dungeon, but I heard Elmerton is having some bandit problems," Sam said.
"Bandits? Really?"
"It's a noble quest," Tucker argued.
"It's an easy quest," Danny argued. "I agreed to take quests at our level, not ten levels below it. Any bandits attacking Elmerton of all places will be desperate, inexperienced, and poorly equipped. The greenest adventurers in the country could take care of it. Let's leave some quests for the newbies, don't you think?"
Sam and Tucker looked at each other like they'd just been caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Did they really think he was dumb enough to go for something like that. More and more people were trying their hands at adventuring every day, three experienced adventurers like themselves didn't need to be taking entry-level quests away from actual entry-level adventurers.
"Alright, well... there's a noble looking to hire body-guards," Sam proposed. "He suspects a rival family is planning to have him assassinated."
"Okay, first of all, body-guarding jobs are boring, they aren't real adventures or even real quests, and I don't know why people keep asking for adventurers to do things like that when they should be hiring mercenaries—or better yet, and here's a wild idea, actual bodyguards. Second of all, do you really want me taking on a job where there will likely be an assassin involved? And third of all, did you just ask around every tavern in Casper for the easiest, most boring adventurer gigs around? 'Cause it seems like that's what you did."
"Yeah, that's what we did," Tucker confirmed, then yelped in alarm as Sam dug her elbow into his side.
"Come on, you don't have to baby me!" Danny complained. "I've gone on plenty of adventures without dying before, you don't have to pick ones a literal child could do."
"Well, how about the dungeon outside of Amity Park?" Tucker suggested.
"You want us to go home?" Danny asked, grimacing.
The idea didn't sit right with him. He had left Amity Park for a very good reason, and Tucker had followed. And when they left, Danny fully planned on never going back. Tucker had traveled back alone a few times, to visit his family, but Danny never had and never would, if he had any say in it.
"No, not all the way home, just to the dungeon a few miles away," Tucker assured. "It's crawling with monsters, and they say there's a demon in the deepest recesses of the dungeon."
"That seems too dangerous," Sam argued.
"It's been evaluated as medium difficulty," Tucker insisted. "Which is actually slightly lower than we're qualified to take on. The monsters in it aren't actually that strong, there's just a lot of them."
"A hundred weak monsters can be way more dangerous than one powerful one," she insisted. "We should find something else."
"I actually agree with Sam," Danny said. "I don't think it would be too dangerous, but it's too close to home. If something happens and we have to teleport out fast for healing or something, I don't want to have to go to Amity Park for it."
Tucker huffed, but reluctantly gave in.
"One of these days, you two are gonna have to tell me what the deal is with your home town," Sam said.
She had joined their party a couple months after they left, and a few towns away, when they were looking for a magic-user to round out their team, and she was looking to escape her stuffy noble family's manor. As such, there were parts of their personal history she didn't know, and they hadn't been willing to talk about.
"It doesn't matter anymore," Danny replied, waving her off. "As long as we don't go back there, it doesn't matter. And I'm never going back there."
In all their years adventuring together, the only times Danny had ever sounded that solemn was when he talked about his home, or when one of them had died.
"Anyway, I'm sure you guys can guess that I want another shot at the lich who killed me, but I bet I know how you feel about that," Danny said.
"Yeah, not gonna happen," Tucker told him.
At the same time, Sam said, "No way. Absolutely not."
"Yeah, that's what I thought."
Eventually, the three of them settled on a quest a few towns away, near Eerie Coast. Some sea monsters were coming a little too far inland for anyone's tastes, and even climbing onto fishing boats. The current theory was that overpopulation of their usual habitat was driving them to invade elsewhere. It made sense. A few years before, hunting sea monsters was all the rage, but it had fallen out of vogue a little while ago, and Eerie Coast didn't have nearly as many adventurers managing its monster population nowadays as it once had.
Danny tried to argue that they specialized in fighting the undead and should find a quest more related to their field, but they had done a couple of sea monster quests back when they were popular, before the group decided to specialize, so it wasn't like they wouldn't know what they were doing. Although to be honest, it hadn't been so much a decision to specialize as it was that undead creatures just seemed to find them, no matter where they went.
Sam had been forced to learn purification magic and rapid decay spells out of necessity, and Tucker had had no choice but to study up on the weak points of all undead creatures so he would know where to aim with his bow. Danny, luckily, knew quite a bit about undead monsters already, including why their party seemed to attract them so disproportionately, but he was less than forthcoming with that information.
Nevertheless, they headed to Eerie Coast to take on the droves of water based monsters that were completely tanking the fishing economy there.
There, as with everywhere, they ended up fighting undead whether they wanted to or not. They'd never seen ghost octopi, swarms of fish skeletons, or zombie sea serpents before, though. This didn't seem like a simple overpopulation issue after all.
Luckily, the three of them were uniquely suited for this quest. Danny's sword was enchanted to be far more effective against undead, to the point where he could take down most minor undead with only one well-placed blow. For the huge sea monster before them, it took a few strikes, but Danny was quick, sprightly, and he could fly now, and he knew exactly where to land those strikes to take down the zombified beast as quickly as possible.
Taking quests above their skill level had been dangerous and on many occasions deadly, but it forced them to learn fast, and be quicker and more precise in their attacks. Sam took down a whole school of fish skeletons with a single, well-aimed purify undead spell, and Tucker took the time to dip his arrowheads in ectoplasm before picking off the ghostly creatures one by one and waiting for his arrows to float back to him on the current so he could do it all over again.
Hordes of sea creatures coming back from the dead wasn't the kind of thing that just happened naturally though, which mean if they didn't find the root cause, getting rid of the monsters would only be short-term solution. Once they'd earned themselves a reprieve by destroying all the immediate threats, Tucker went to collect any miscellaneous arrows that hadn't been damaged beyond usability in the fray, and Sam started to cast a search spell to trace the magic that had brought all these creatures back as undead.
Once she was done, the boys followed her into town, down a winding path, until they saw a cloaked figure run when it caught sight of them, and they gave chase.
It wasn't long before the man figure inadvertently cornered themself on a dead-end street. They stuck their arms out of their black cloak as if to cast a spell, but Tucker was faster, and shot a pair of arrows that pinned the figure's sleeves to the wall behind them. A few more arrows ensured that they were secured enough that they couldn't run anymore.
"Who are you, and why were you running?" Danny demanded, the tip of his sword trained at the man's neck.
"And what..." the man asked, "are you? You magnificent monster...."
A shiver ran down Danny's spine. He did not like the way this guy was sizing him up. The look in his eyes was predatory, despite him being the one cornered and trapped with a sword at his throat.
"You're not in a position to be asking questions," Danny said harshly. "Now tell me, who are you, and what is your business?"
The man didn't stop giving Danny that covetous look, but he did explain himself.
The man in the cloak, as it turned out, was an aspiring necromancer that had moved into town and was using the local sea life—both magical and benign—to practice his trade, while he hid from the locals and let them think it was natural overpopulation.
Sam was openly sickened by the man, lecturing him about the all the moral and ethical problems with necromancy while the man was pinned to a wall with several arrows, unable to escape her tirade.
To be honest, Danny had never really had a problem with necromancy, beyond the fact that it was a little annoying. Maybe he was just desensitized, but he didn't really see how bringing people and animals back as undead monsters was morally wrong. They were dead. No one was gonna perform true resurrection on that sea serpent so what did it care if it's body was used to serve a necromancer?
Plus, Danny didn't really think it was fair that true resurrection was totally find, but all other forms of necromancy were considered evil and taboo. It was all necromancy in the end. But Ancients forbid you even call a resurrectionist a necromancer because if you're gonna compare them to those horrible evil mages, then maybe they'll just let your friend stay dead.
As if them bringing people back to life for money was so much more noble than creating zombies to accrue power.
Anyway, Danny's opinions didn't matter much. Except for true resurrection spells, all necromancy was illegal, so the three of them escorted the necromancer to the town guard and let them deal with him.
"Can we please do a proper dungeon crawl next?" Danny requested as they cleared out the rest of the undead in the nearby seas, mostly small creatures that they'd missed in their initial culling. "Ever since that lich my eyes do not like bright lights anymore, and the sun is blinding. I would much prefer to be underground."
"Yeah, I'm actually with you this time," Sam agreed as she unwrapped a clump of seaweed from he staff with a look of disgust on her face. "Eugh... gross."
"I don't know, this isn't so bad," Tucker said. "I kinda missed coastal adventures like this."
Danny scoffed. "Says the guy firing arrows from the beach. I'm soaked. I'm gonna have to polish the crap out of my armor to keep it from getting rusted to hell and back from the salt water after this."
He slashed what he was pretty sure was the last zombie eel. Without a leader, zombies attacked indiscriminately and never retreated, so the fact that he didn't see any more of them attacking was a pretty good sign.
"Fine," the archer finally agreed. "I'm gonna need to stock up on arrows before we go, though. I only have four left that are still usable, and I can't find the supplies I need to make more myself in a dungeon like I could in a forest or something."
"Yeah, we'll need to stock up my store-room spell for a dungeon crawl too," Sam agreed. "We're not quite low yet, but there isn't nearly enough food and water for a dungeon. Guess it's time for a shopping trip. Are we done here?"
"Yeah, I think so," Danny confirmed. "I think I'll sit out the shopping trip, though. You'll probably get better service and better prices if I'm not there disturbing all the other customers."
Sam and Tucker both looked like they wanted to argue, but they also both had eyes. They could see how all the civilians in town reacted to him. His appearance was simply to abnormal for them not to be concerned, and it was a reasonable fear. If he had actually been a Zombie General, they would be in serious danger. That didn't stop their looks of fear and disgust from stinging a bit, though.
"Could you pick me up some steel polish while you're out though?" he asked. "I have a feeling I'm gonna use the last of it after today's fight."
"Yeah, sure thing," Sam told him.
He spent the rest of the evening, as he'd expected to, in their room at the inn, polishing his armor and weapons. Alone.

So, you saw your ending... Cool! Did you blink?
Danny Phantom x The Magnus Archives Crossover
Chapter 1
"Story of Daniel James Fenton" Allison wrote at the top of the page. The typewriter drummed in the near silence, the boy in the chair across from her gulped.
"You aren't with any institutions right? I don't want—"
"No." She assured, "I'm a StoryKeeper, not the Archivist."
"Okaaaay, I just want to make sure that—"
"No Hunters." She said, typing the line under the title. His eyes widened in confusion, then understanding, but he didn't ask.
"My parents are Hunters," He told her, whether by choice or because the compulsion had begun, it didn't matter. This StoryKeeper typed along. "Not great ones, but I think that's because of the prey, not because they're bad at hunting...
"They like ghosts, War-ghosts mostly, but they're not picky about it. As long as it's not completely tangible and used to be a living person it's good enough for them. The problem is that you can't really make a ghost feel fear, or, uh, a Hunter can't... not normally... but I'm getting ahead of myself.
"They never really gave themselves to it, to the Thing that Wants the Chase. So for a long time my sister and I just thought they were crazy. Then, when I was fourteen, they built this thing. They called it a portal, but it was really just this big electrical hazard tunnel in the basement. And I of course, waited until they'd left it alone and went to check it out..." He paused for a moment, pain suddenly lacing his face.
"I'm not telling you more about that." He snapped. Then spead through the next few words so this StoryKeeper had to focus on typing instead of the compulsion. "Not the details. I will tell you, it killed me, and I wasn't ready. So when there was a choice, I took it.
"My friends were there, they managed to revive me just before the ambulance got there..."
He hesitated again, fighting to keep the story in the direction he wanted it to go, she let him even if she wished he'd tell both tales.
"My parents blamed the ghosts. And that's how it really started. They started hunting a lot more, and war ghosts don't really run away much. They don't fear being hunted, but they do fear ending. So mom and dad do the same old same old, ghosts get scared of me, they give chase, the world has one less mindless killer and fast food is more satisfying on the way home. All fun and games, right? Well it has been, but ghosts stopped have being enough for either of us... they want to go find other monsters and they don't realize that I'm not the same thing as they are. These things already have bargains that I'm not supposed to interfere with... that I can't interfere with. And not all of them... not all of us are trying to be evil...
"They're supposed to be having these friends come over, to show us the ropes or something. I have this feeling that they're going to take one look at me and Know. So uh, that's why I'm here. I thought, maybe if The Thing that Sees has already seen me, that maybe it will let me be..."
He laughed suddenly. "But it's not like it matters is it. What's the worse that could happen? I die? Again?"

Yes, I did post this twice, I'm trying a little experiment. See, earlier I just posted the Ao3 link, and it has gotten very little traction... I think it's cause it was just a link and no hook. So I'm posting the first chapter and we'll see if that does better. Or it yall just prefer other crossovers. I'm curious!

More photos of my Nicktoons Unite Highschool AU. At least the Uniforms. Still working on the school itself on Sims 4.
Also good news I finished all the SpongeBob characters, at least those who are students and their uniforms. So now we can work on the Danny Phantom characters. I already have some done.
I believe I've stated before that I got the idea from Tiny Titans. That the school is run by villains as a way to monitor our heroes and torment them with high school. Plus while the heroes are at school our villains can perform villain acts. So the heroes have to either ditch school and get in trouble. They have to find a way to stop them.
Vlad is the Principle due to his wealth and popularity. Due to all the high schools throughout the city we're destroyed by terrorists. (Not really) Our villains built the school for everyone to go to for the time being. This was all planned out by Professor Calamitous.
Rosy Cheeks: Dark Blue and Blue
She's Sandy's older sister I believe and the mother is Sandy's three nieces. Whom due to changing characters ages aren't born yet. So yeah.
Earl Cheeks: Brown and Orange
Sandy's Cousin who is a Beaver.
Tumblr media
Lincoln Jenkins: Dark Teal and Slime Green
Old Man Jenkins has a young grandson. He doesn't have a real name so I gave him one.
Gary Gulper: Dark Green and Slime Green
He's a villain in one of the SpongeBob games. Gotta include villains you know.
Tumblr media
Same Star: Purple and Orange
Patrick's older sister. Supposedly has gone missing so. More than likely show up later on in my fics.
Danny Fenton: Slime Green and White
We're finally on Danny Phantom characters. Of course we had to start with the main character Danny himself.
Tumblr media
Sam Manson: Purple and Slime Green
Sam is Danny's best friend and love interest. She went creative with her uniform. Vlad is forcing uniforms to annoy the students. So Sam is trying to fight back.
Tucker Foley: Orange and Yellow
Tucker is Danny's best friend and techo nerd. He ordered a basic uniform just to get it out of the way.
Tumblr media
Jazz Fenton: Orange and Teal
Jazz is Danny's older sister. This is her last year of high school.
Dash Baxter: Red and Blue
Dash is Danny's bully. However he's based on Flash Thompson so I have some plans for him.
Tumblr media
The last two for now at least.
Paulina Sanchez: Pink and Slime Green
The popular girl in school. She has a lot going on with her outfit. But it's cute.
Ember McLain: Black and Blue
Hear me out. She tries to gain her popularity and power by being the most popular student. Win the Prom Queen contests. So her uniform is here because at some point she has it.

Horror Delve Game: Poppy Playtime
You take the role of a former employee(Player) and must descend down into Playtime Co factory's horrific depths. Luckily ONE character not from the franchise will come along to help. Here are the rules.
The chosen character must be from the last media you consumed. Either a videogame, book or TV show. (This is to broaden potential choices.)
Chosen character must be either a protagonist, neutral ally who helped them or is at least good to an extent. EX: Audrey(BATDR), Danny Fenton, Trafalgar Law, etc.
The chosen character will have their basic set of abilities. Aka the skill they got during the first chapter(videogame wise) or debut episode. (Can't take out all the fun with overpowered shenanigans.) EX: Ben Tennyson only has his first 10 transformations and 10 min time limit.
You aren't restricted to the canon choices the game offers. Things like sparing major antagonists, bribe certain lesser enemies, save potential allies, or solving puzzles differently is available. It counts if it makes traversing Playtime Con easier in some way. Are you smart and crafty enough to do the impossible?
Who did I get? Ren Amamiya/Joker from Persona 5!
Tumblr media
My chances are really good. I can handle the Grab Pack shenanigans pretty well although sharing the gas mask will most likely happen. Ren's lockpicking and negotiation skills might be able to get those like Mommy Longlegs to back off. If that fails then just blast them away with Arseńe.
How well will you guys fair against the horrors lurking in this abandoned factory?

Find the Word 1
I’ve been tagged by several people over the last… 3.5 weeks to find select sets of words in my WIPs, and this time I’m not combining them into a single post. That would be endless to scroll through. So I’ll start with a tag from @inkspellangel and find those words first. Thank you for the tag, for your patience while I was away from Tumblr, and for the chance to play this game!
My Words: hate, understand, bridge, against, people
I’ll Tag: @on-noon, @saltysupercomputer, @calicojackofficial, @midnight-and-his-melodiverse, @junypr-camus, and as always anyone else who wants to join in can use these words (or words from my other upcoming FtW posts) and say I tagged them!
Your Words: pretend, accept, offer, aware, hollow
I have a lot of backlog to get through, but I’ll still put the excerpts themselves under a cut as always.
I found hate in my Danny Phantom fanfic “Lingering Scars”:
"As much as I hate to say that you're ever right about anything..." he fakes a shudder, overplaying the movement just enough to earn him a classic Jazz Fenton eye roll, "I definitely would've kept quiet if you'd let me, you're not actually wrong there. I'm the type of guy who's bad at... not doing that. I don't know if it's good or bad that you made me talk, but now that we're digging into the really secret stuff... I have to do this right. There's a place where I can do that, but it's not here. If you can trust me long enough to go there, I'll tell you both what happened to my neck and some other stuff I tried to cover up. I'll show you why I won't disappear on you, or leave either of you alone."
I found understand in my novel WIP “Apricots”:
Ian takes another long, deep breath. He's not angry now. He's not even annoyed, not really. He's... is there a word somewhere between determination to help someone you care about and resignation to sign yourself up for something you don't fully understand? His emotions are somewhere in that area, trying to settle into something more defined. Not unclear, but... imprecise. It's probably the best he can manage.
I found bridge in the rough draft of my Given fanfic “Present Tense”:
The height of their hands shifts as they lean to look into his eyes. Disrupting the flow of time he's been watching. His vision is filled with silver instead. A kind of silver that should have its own separate word, as a color all its own. There are places where the silver itself seems slightly worn, seems grey or almost black. This is the bridge that goes there, to the place in their hands that holds time itself. This is how they pull everything into their grasp. Through this silver that isn't just silver. Through these eyes that aren't usually eyes. Looking at the world in a way Mafuyu would never think to try for himself. Still unable to speak, he nods thoughtfully.
I found against in my short story “Hidden Talent”:
After all, rather than emptiness within Vance himself, it's more like an awareness of all the empty spaces around him. He doesn't need to fill himself with something that's missing. He needs to do something about that awareness itself. Noticing the empty places in a room or a building or even a park, the areas that look blank or vacant. It's those blank spaces that are hungry for something to give them color or presence. They're fading away. They need something to anchor them, to bring them back, and he becomes so hyper-conscious of that need that it makes him hyper-conscious of his own presence, too. His head so full of thoughts, his chest so full of emotions, he ends up feeling like some kind of moving painting himself. Standing out against these spaces that have nothing. It gets under his skin every time, to the point he starts to feel sick with the infuriating need to balance the vibrant and the vacant. The bright and the blank. Give a little paint from the place that has too much and deposit it in places that don't have enough. Wash the excess layers of it off himself and reset. Recolor. Rebalance.
I found people in my Given fanfic “Present Tense”:
A Gibson Hollow-Body, Uenoyama-kun had said. It's been awhile now since he first heard the term, but it still rattles around in Mafuyu's head sometimes. As if his head, too, is hollow and he's desperate to fill it with words -- with the ideas and voices of other people. Maybe that's the right way to learn an instrument, or to have friends, or to be a lover. Maybe it's just a way to distract himself. Maybe it's a way of collecting things that someone else has said, until he can say something on his own. The way he does when he sings. The way he gathered so many of Ugetsu-san's words and his band mates' feelings to make his last song. He's not sure what he's actually trying to do, one way or the other; but he can feel the downward slope of this particular word as it settles into a more or less set position in these early morning thoughts. Hollow.
It took me a long time to get to this one, but I did find every single word on the list – the words against and people showing up so often they stopped looking like real words – and I had fun figuring out how to keep my excerpts short while also sharing what I want to share. Thank you again for the tag!

The Strange Case of Amity Park
So, the facts are these:
On April 12th, 2004, Anna Louise Robb goes missing during morning recess at Saleham Elementary, Illinois.
“No one realized until we were taking registration after recess, and she wasn't, just wasn't there. We were all calling for her, all over the playground- the panic, the panic actually didn't set in for a while.”
It was her tenth birthday.
Seven weeks later, another young child disappears from their bedroom, just a half-mile away from Saleham Elementary. Their name is not a matter of public record.
“We all of us in the town immediately knew something was up, that this wasn't no coincidence, cos things had been happenin’ for a while, things that made no goddamn sense. We'd been paying attention see, and this whole thing didn't start with the Robb girl, though outta-towners’d been calling us crazy.”
“Actually the curfews and all that, the paranoia, that started after little J- ahem, after the second kid. The cops needed three for a pattern, but not us.”
...
Over the next three years, a further twelve children vanish from the small town of Amity Park, Illinois, all under mysterious circumstances. No suspicious figures spotted, no signs of a struggle or forced entry, and no connection between the victims - other than that none was over seventeen.
“It was misery. Pure misery. We couldn't do anything to, to protect them. They were taken from locked rooms, from crowds, anywhere. Anyone's eyes left for a second’n they'd be gone. I barely slept those years. The whole town got sick from stress.”
Listeners might label this a classic case of serial murder or kidnapping, and officially, that's what it is - an unsolved case, of an unidentified subject taking kids.
But the official account fails to tell you the complete story.
“Amity Sheriff's Office does not provide comment on cold cases, now for the last time, please simply consult the official contemporary paperwork housed in the county library. Good day.”
“You have reached the answerphone of Amity Park Public Library. Please leave your message after the tone. You have reached the a̷͓͝n̷̪̣̾́s̸̗̎w̷̧͇̍ẹ̵̄͆͜r̶̨̬̊͝ṕ̴̢̝̓ẖ̵͛o̵͍͂͠n̸̫̍̓ĕ̵̫ of Amity Pu̴̮͚͝b̴̙͚̋lic Library. Please leave.”
Here's another fact - of the fourteen taken children, nine were found, all alive. Some within days, some over a year later. Or, as locals put it, Returned. Capital ‘R’.
None of these children could, or would, talk about what had happened to them or where they'd been. Most didn't remember.
“I ain't giving you their names because they're sealed. You want a story, talk about the dead kids, their names are a matter of record.”
“Don't look for the Returned. Stay away from Them, trust me, and stay outta town too while you're at it. Now are ya gonna pay fer that or no?”
There are other facts, too, that aren't published with the lists of unfound children and redacted names.
Power outages. Outbreaks of violence. Unprecedented levels of crop disease; print and online media rolling to a total halt; a water contamination scandal. A vast and unspecific incident at local employer Axiom Labs, which left thirty dead, and families without answers.
“Sorry hon, the Axiom Thirty weren't, aren't buried here. We didn't really do burials during that time, as a town. You'd understand if you knew.”
On the night of August 24th, 2007, the last child vanishes from Amity Park. Daniel James Fenton, age seventeen, says goodnight to his family, and isn't in bed the next morning.
He remains missing to this day, and is presumed dead.
What exactly happened to this sleepy Midwestern town in the mid-noughts? Why has such a dramatic, tragic case been so withheld from the American consciousness? And what can we learn from the way the town responded to this trauma: its unnerving slip into superstition, ritual, and secrecy?
“What, you never seen blood blossoms before? I don't care if you got an allergy, you either sniff the flowers or you stay outside. And besides, ain't you [redacted]’s cousin? Did he not explain all this already? Look, jus’- wait, are you recording me?”
Welcome, to The Strange Case of Amity Park.

Heard we were talking about unpopular phandom opinions so here are mine:
》 I don't like Wes and his family I think they're all annoying and add nothing whatsoever lol
》 Danny having a protection obsession makes no sense, especially considering how he died. I think his obsession would be more along the lines of "live a normal life for fucking once" (IF he had one. I think the obsessions thing is great for angst but overall it doesn't make that much sense. Usually when I'm reading fanfic I just turn off my brain for this specific part)
》 I don't think Vlad can or should ever be redeemed. The fact that his motives and actions are bad are the most interesting things about his character, and redeemed Vlad just seems OOC to me
》 I think Swagger Bishie is an interesting ship and I like Dash as a character but some of y'all are too quick to excuse the shit he did to Danny. And honestly? Same goes for all the A-lister characters, including Valerie
》 Jazz gets so shafted in fanfics and phandom content. I think she needs more love. That being said, she also needs more character besides "doting older sister"
》 I don't... hate Sam. I think she's a good concept, but needs like. A really drastic rewrite. She's not even goth :(
》 The Fenton parents aren't abusive, but they're not great parents either. I think they'd accept Danny for who he is, but they still inflicted trauma and I feel like they don't pay enough attention to their kids to really be good. I remember seeing a post saying "they're not parents, they're scientists who happen to have kids" and that about sums it up for me
》 TUE is great for angst but plot-wise it makes no sense. Cheating on a test should not have gotten his family and friends killed. I usually let it go because it's an interesting trauma to explore but I still find it unrealistic
》 The way Danny is written in fanfic is inconsistent as hell. Sometimes he's an insanely closed-off badass and sometimes he's sad and angsty all the time. Personally, I've always thought of his as someone who would go "everything is fine :)" and ignore his own trauma until someone pointed it out to him and/or things go too far. Like, hide his trauma behind humor and sarcasm. Someone let him be snarky and make puns again </3
》 Why are there so many Vlad/Danny shippers??? You guys at the absolute very best, are fucking weirdos

Hey, I can probably assume that you’re not really a Thanksgiving guy, but what about your characters who live in America? What Thanksgiving traditions do they have?
Good guess! A lot of Mexicans here in the border do celebrate it - that's what happens when most people here have family in the US - but that's not the case for me.
Sorry for the delay, I've been hard at work on the next Supergirl chapter and only had time to answer smaller asks! @the-literary-lord
-I can't imagine Thanksgiving is a huge event at the Noceda household. The show might contradict me on this, since they look to be fairly well off, but I write Luz and Camila a little less financially stable (I do kinda write too many medium class characters and, y'know, billionaires. Something for me to keep in mind going forward, huh?). At any rate, they don't devote too much attention to this holiday; none of their family lives nearby anyway, and if they're gonna travel, it's gonna be for Christmas and New Year's
-You've already seen what Thanksgiving is like at the Danvers household in the show! No differences here, though I might be convinced to write something for the Avengers somewhere down the line.
-Thanksgiving for Ben and co. is kinda wonky; Sandra typically flies back home for the photo op with Ben and Carl, but she doesn't actually stay for dinner. Gwen's parents are usually busy with research or academia stuff, so it's rare that they participate either. For quite a few years, they've all gotten together at the Yamamotos', where Max and Mrs. Yamamoto cook for everyone.
-Camp Half Blood doesn't really do Thanksgiving; still, Nico has an open invitation to join the Jacksons' dinner. He hasn't taken them up on the offer yet, unfortunately - doesn't quite feel like he belongs.
-Ellie does join the Fentons for dinner, but it's kind of awkward for her; Danny's extended family never asks, but they all look at her a little weird. To be fair, her resemblance to Danny is rather uncanny.
-I might actually want to write a Thanksgiving themed thing for the Paladins someday, so I'll keep that one to myself. For Pidge specifically, and like many other holidays, it's a bittersweet day; holidays don't really mean anything as long as half her family is lost in space.
-The Pines twins typically spend their Thanksgiving at Gravity Falls, seeking pretty much any chance to go there until they can finally move permanently. Sometimes their parents join them, sometimes they don't - there's no conflict or anything, their parents just aren't super keen on travelling, and they know how independent their kids are, and how much they love Gravity Falls. Conflict is definitely an issue for Tulip, though - her parents never mended fences, so there's an argument every year over where she should spend Thanksgiving. Thanks to Dipper, she doesn't have to pick one of her parents over the other anymore.

Oh man, I'm really about to rant at midnight aren't I?
No one asked for this but I'm doing it anyway cause this is... not good.
So Beaks in The Shell right? That's an episode that establishes Fenton and Gandra's relationship right?
As far as responses go, they have mostly been positive. But I'm not about to rant about the people that didn't like the episode. I'm not that kind of person. I'm ranting about a certain group of people who are being salty about one aspect of the episode.
That certain group is some fenro shippers.
And by group, I mostly mean one person.
I don't think all of fenro shippers are like this, it's just a good amount of them have been pretty... annoying about fenro not becoming canon.
I'll see microaggressions here and there about it, and yes it's eyeroll levels of annoying, at most "shut up" levels, but at the end of the day I'm not surprised. Therefore, I don't care as much for those microaggressions.
But this one
This one motherfucker just took that episode with two gallons of salt.
[Major TW for this next part, it gets gorey//]
Have you ever been so salty-- no.
Have you ever been so pissed off about a ship that you think rivals your OTP becoming canon, that you write a fanfiction of them m*rdering and eating the canon partner and then post that shit 10 minutes before the episode drops?
No? Then congratulations, you're sane.
Cause what the hell is this?
Tumblr media
This.. is the most unnecessary, passive aggressive responses I have ever seen to a ship.
I haven't seen shit like this since my Hamilton days
HAMILTON DAYS
And the fanfiction I'm referring to wasn't as nearly as bad as this shock value garbage.
In summary of what happens in the story:
Gyro is made into this unlikable creepy stalker simp who put a bunch of cameras in Fenton's knew apartment (there's a time skip and the reason why is awful) and spies on him 24/7.
Fenton is this soft uwu caring boy that doesn't know how to defend himself. He's so pure and oblivious and stupid.
Gandra is a gold digging, verbally abusive, alcoholic ass who we are meant to sympathize with.
Gyro doesn't like how Gandra is dating him, so what does he do? Kills her, cuts her up, and then plans to have her for dinner with his pure boy senpai Fenton.
I..
What?!
And people in the comments are like "Poor Gyro, I feel so bad for him 🥺🥺"
How?
Fucking how?
Gyro is so out of character and disgusting in this, I don't understand how it's even passable to you guys.
And speaking of comments, if y'all don't believe me when I say this was posted 10 minutes before the episode dropped, then read this
Tumblr media
Wow
This is really immature.
(I could make a separate post about the author cause all of their stories are just all around the worst, but I don't know if I'll feel like it. I don't like conflict that much either so I'd be scared rip)
All in all, get over it. Fendra becoming canon isn't the end of the world. You still have fanfiction and other stuff that you can incorporate fenro in. And canon divergence exist for a reason. (just don't do it like the one in the post). That's my biggest problem with the complaining.
It's sad honestly, I wasn't gonna make this post until I saw that. Really shows how low people go when something doesn't go their way.
