Who do you send as top and bottom in 3zun? (And its variations)
in general i prefer:
LXC: Switch
JGY: Top
NMJ: Bottom
so for 3zun i prefer switch!lxc + top!jgy + bottom!nmj but i can still read stuff where jgy bottoms and lxc + nmj tops (which is most common from what i’ve seen) or other variations
Then for nieyao/xiyao i also prefer jgy to top and the others bottom but i don’t mind reading fic with the roles reversed. and honestly most people tend to make jgy a bottom; he just gives me top energy tho personally
for nielan i prefer top!lxc + bottom!nmj but i am also okay with them as switches, and i won’t necessarily avoid bottom!lxc + top!nmj but it’s a bit meh for me tbh 🙍
overall i’m pretty lax with the roles for 3zun tho which makes it much easier when reading fic lol
when it comes to nhs i usually exit out of fics if it has top!nhs bc i can’t fw it at allllll it just feels so ooc to me personally 😅
#yeah i’m aware my tastes are unorthodox lol#like i usually go against what’s popular or canon#but sngchng is unique in that nhs just screams pillow 🤴#and also i usually can’t stand bottom tsunderes either so that’s another reason i only like chengsang specifically#and why i only like q!ngfeng and not fengq!ng#i say usually bc i actually like bottom!mbj tho i’m not entirely certain if he’s a tsundere or not….anyways shutting up now 🤐#anonymous#answered

GWUH i love when comments tell me how i might have prolonged certain aspects of my fic but then reassure me it Gets Better to read (very important to meeeee).. thank u to user swirling wind of repetition ur comment made my DAY!!!!! (crying)
UGHHELDEWOSKPENEPEJDPSKEKDKE SOMEONE TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE ALL OF THIS IM SICKKKK IM SO TOUCHED
#egg boils#comments#<- was that my tag#UGHHHHH THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY.#I ALSO GOT MORE COMMENTS AFTER THIS AND I. WE FRUCKINB CRODEEEE#FAVE#save#also smth abt the angst is that it was literally the basis of the fic bc i wanted hoshina to be comforting her each time and i know his own#thoughts must’ve been so frustrating to read MY BAD REALLY like what is ur problem girl but also#<- thinking abt it i did make hoshina confess First Verbally which is woah. in its own sense bc all this while he would only initiate to#comfort or help his captain…. but when he doesn’t have that excuse of reaching out anymore n she’s the one who takes care of him instead 🤔#i guess that also helps him gain a bit more confidence and see where he truly stands beside her#like yeah flowers r cute and all but the confirmation she wants him and will stay by his side too.. (something she said previously and Then#proceeded to do so when she found him in the dojo) WHICH BTW. she figured out smth was wrong w the text messages but never got the chance to#find out properly bc she’d always miss the timing. girl who’s been staying on base recently and KNOWS where hoshina wld go when he can’t#sleep but never catches him bc she’s either too late or he never shows up (choosing to lie awake in bed instead)#ARGHHHHHH MY HSMN#hoshina afraid to take the first step but he does it anyway DOES IT ANYWAY BECSUSE HE WONT LIVE FOREVER AND i think with the raid on#tachikawa base and other significant deaths it gets a lot more Obvious

IT WENT SO WELL GUYS. I feel dumb as fuck for having been so anxious
#the new team? THE nicest people ever#the cafe? pretty much unchanged#there is a new till but other than that everything is basically the same#oh and there’s more space behind the counter. and the cups are different; we can’t write on them anymore#so i have to improvise a bit with stirrer sticks or talk with customers in order to denote which drink is which. yuck#other than that all is well! we have some different cakes and stuff but i’ve never worried much about supplies#people bring stuff to me and i’m just like yeah sure i’ll scan that. i don’t care#the coffee machines are the same. the oven’s the same. microwave is gone which i HOPE means we no longer have soup#there’s no chalkboard anymore which means customers can see the prices and selection better#not that they’re using that info. but anyway#but the best part is MY KNEE WAS FINE#it was just like oh we’re standing up? okay#i know it was just a quick trial but literally i can tell QUICKLY if my knee is going to complain about an activity#and it didn’t. at all#it still isn’t. there was a moment when it twinged when i got in the car but i don’t know if i just sat down weird#or my knee was just like ‘hey why are you suddenly sitting down after standing’#either way i genuinely don’t think i’m going to have a problem. like i want to start on short shifts just to make sure#but if i absolutely had to do an 8 hour shift i probably could with some nurofen and a lunch break halfway through#i did communicate all of this to the manager and she was i think kind of nonplussed but also grateful that i gave her the info#i genuinely care about this place unfortunately. the coffee shop benefits a charity so i genuinely don’t want to fuck up#i want them to make a good decision. i also want to go back and work there#but i understand if they get worried and don’t want to fill out an accident report. again#anyway i hope i get it! they said they have 7 vacancies which i think is a wild amount of vacancies#everyone seemed to like me and i was benevolently teased for going on autopilot bc i already know the systems lol#guys. we might be back#personal

in which you’re forced into having a talk with your ex-boyfriend, rafe cameron, on the boat ride to morocco.
being a pogue and rafe cameron’s ex was not easy. although you dated shortly before he killed peterkin, and you were sure he barely even remembered your favourite colour, seeing him blatanly disrespect you and his friends, and go down a path you tried so hard to prevent him from, was hard to watch. but now he’s picked himself up since ward died. you thought you had another chance to at least be on good terms. sending flowers and a card to tanneyhill when ward died, smiling at him when you’d see him around. it didn’t work, he still hated you and your friends.
fortunately, he redeemed himself ever so slightly by volunteering to take the pogues to morocco. rafe had to find chandler groff, you guys wanted the blue crown. it was perfect.
until jj punched him, that is. he knocked him out cold. with a scolding “jj!” coming from majority of the pogues, including you, jj carries him down into the downstairs washroom and ties his wrists to a pole. they don’t trust him, which is fair. you don’t either — you shouldn’t, anyway.
rafe was down there quietly for a mere half hour until he woke up with a groan from his head hitting the ground earlier, followed up with yelling once he realizes he was stuck down there.
all touching your noses and saying ‘not it’ the minute pope suggests someone going down there to check on him, you’re the unlucky one who said it last. shutting up your protests, john b gently coaxes you downstairs, saying things like, “you used to mack on him”, “this is good, you know him”, “he won’t hurt you,” john b leaves you downstairs once you make it to the door of the bathroom. knocking gently, you timidly ask, “can i come in?”
there’s no answer. you can picture him. wrists tied, brows furrowed, eyes closed tightly as his head leans against the wall and towards the ceiling. his gorgeous stressed face. you slowly open the door, peeking your head in. “hi,” you say gently, timid around the scary and aggressive man you have the curse of calling your ex.
“…hey,” rafe says, voice rough as he shuts his eyes tight.
unsure what to say, you awkwardly stand there and stare down at him. “um, i brought asprin,”
“right, right, like i can fuckin’ swallow it. what, you gonna throw it in my mouth like a.. seal or something?” sassy, his upper lip lifts a bit as he thinks about it and isn’t very fond of the idea.
a second of silence as you figure out what to say. “…um, ill just set it down here,” you say, putting the container down beside him. “sorry about your head.”
“yeah, uh, your little boyfriend can’t control his fists, huh?”
“…not my boyfriend,” you correct softly, though you’re not sure why you feel the need to tell him that. “but no one really.. trusts you, rafe, so you kind of brought this on yourself—“
he quickly interrupts you. “bullshit. you know why that’s bullshit? because i was helping. who got you this boat, huh? me. i did. rafe. i’m the reason that you guys aren’t swimming, or some shit, to north africa. i’m being helpful and understanding, and this is what i get. you think that’s fair?” when you’re stood there in silence at his sudden raised voice, he repeats, “you think that’s fucking fair, y/n!?” he kicks a can in anger.
it’s like you’re his girlfriend again as you sit down next to him instantly instead of running. you get deja vu to the time three years ago when he was high on coke and got kicked out of the house. everyone ignored him except for you. “..um, okay, i’m gonna give you some asprin,” you say softly. “help your head. open,” you tell him, grabbing a pill as he gives you a look but opens his mouth. you pop it in his mouth and he dry swallows. “there.”
you two share a look. you don’t think it’s a bad look by any means. he looks frustrated still, but there’s an underlying gentleness in his eyes, as if he registers you’re still the same girl you were when you two were together. “…and, um, for the record, i don’t think it’s fair that you’re down here. you helped us, thats.. nice.”
the word ‘us’ when referring to you and the pogues makes him feel weird. “i don’t get why you hang out with them,” he mutters as he looks at the ground. “tried so fucking hard to keep you away from them when we were.. together.”
“i know,” you whisper, your gaze dropping as well, to his tied wrists. you feel awful. “trust me, your warnings still play in my head when i’m with them sometimes,”
“you remind me of sarah.” he says. you’re not sure what that means.
“you hate sarah,”
“nah, nah— i don’t hate her. hate who she’s turned into,” he adjusts himself. “she makes me sad. i’m sad for her, alright? she had so much potential.“ he shrugs. “but there’s no saving her. she’s in too deep,” he looks back up at you again. “i think there’s saving you, though,”
“…this is weird, rafe,”
“how?” he asks.
“because in the years we’ve been broken up, you’ve never talked to me about this. feels like it’s a… trick or something,”
“it’s not a trick,” he assures, voice still rough. “look, i’m out half a mill, i’m tied up in a bathroom, i’m probably gonna.. die or something. i got nothing to lose, may as well tell you my concern,”
“um, i appreciate it,” you say gently, unsure how to respond. “and i’m gonna go back upstairs.”
“hey— no, woah, woah, woah,” he stops you quickly. “stay. okay?”
“i should go up and help with dinner, though—“
“no, stay. i— i want you to stay, okay? i don’t wanna be down here alone, and i want you away from the pogues,”
he doesn’t wanna be alone. you feel bad for him all over again, nodding gently as you sit back down beside him. you always were so good for rafe.
you’re not sure how long you’ll be down here with him. maybe until it’s late at night and he’s asleep. so gently, after about five minutes of silence, to ease some of the tension and pass the time, you murmur a, “truth or dare?”
rafe just smiles.

The Art Of Make-believe Matrimony
Logan Howlett x fem!reader

Summary: You can’t stand each other, so it’s a mystery to you and Logan why you’re sent out together on an assignment. To make it worse, you’d have to act much closer than you really were.
Warnings: mutant!reader (no specific power mentioned, though), fem!reader, enemies to lovers, swearing, fake dating (technically fake marriage), mentions of violence, a little bit of suggestive stuff, a little bit of fluff i guess, and mild alcohol consumption. I think that's all but if i missed any, please let me know! also this is def loosely inspired by the movies 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' and '10 Things I Hate About You'
Word Count: 5K
part 2
・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆ .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ .
You hate the way he dresses.
You hate his stupid hair.
You hate the pet names he calls you.
You hate his voice.
You hate his hazel eyes.
You hate his smile.
You hate Logan Howlett.
It was no secret and neither was the fact that he couldn’t stand you either. You bickered like a married couple, constantly fought till you bled when you were training and couldn’t go a day without one of you insulting the other. Truthfully, it was probably because you were too alike - fire versus fire - and knew exactly how to press each other's buttons.
That’s why you were both confused when you stood in Charles’ office - dumbfounded expression on your faces - as he told you that he assigned you to a mission together.
“Oh, no way,” you nearly laughed, thinking it was a joke.
“Yeah, not happening,” Logan agreed. It may have been the only thing you’ve ever agreed on.
“That’s unfortunate for both of you, as I am sending you anyway. You are the only capable people that aren’t already out on an assignment or teaching a class full time.”
“How do you expect us to do it without killing each other?” you raised your eyebrows.
“You are adults. I trust you will navigate that on your own.”
Logan scoffed beside you, his arms crossed over his chest.
You sighed, closing your eyes in frustration and biting the bullet, “what do we have to do?”
“There is a safe hidden in the home of a very wealthy socialite who’s been involved in orchestrating attacks on mutants - injecting them with a serum that replaces their mutation gene with that of a normal human,” Charles began to explain.
Your chest felt heavy. It always made you anxious and a little ill when you’d hear the stories of people who hated you so much that they’d go as far as to harm or violate you in some way, all in the name of trying to rid the earth of you completely or turn you into one of them.
“The only known sample of the serum is locked in that safe,” he continued, “and I will need you to retrieve it. You are to infiltrate a gathering being held in her home, obtain the contents of the safe and return promptly.”
“So, we’re…going to a party?” Logan asked with one eyebrow raised.
“A dinner party,” Charles replied, “and another thing - you must not attend as yourselves. You’ve been invited on the good word of another guest - someone we trust - but you’ve been invited as a married couple to avoid arousing suspicion.”
He must’ve been getting some sick enjoyment from this.
“Married couple,” you repeated, your eyes narrowed, “Us. You want us to pretend to be a couple.”
“What, do I have to like - touch her? I’m not doing that,” Logan piped up.
“Oh, i’m so disappointed,” you rolled your eyes, sarcasm clear in your voice, “Fuck off.”
“You fuck off.”
“No, you fuck off.”
“No, you.”
“I said it first!”
“Enough,” Charles interrupted, “you will be attending as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”
“Huh,” Logan hummed, “that’s creative.”
“Its inconspicuous,” he replied.
“What are our first names, then?”
“You have creative liberty. I trust you will come up with something just as unremarkable.”
“How about Sid and Nancy?” you scoffed, chuckling a little in disbelief.
“Does that mean I get to stab you?”
“You’d miss.”
Charles had his head in his hands.
“How about Jack and Jill?”
You both turned your heads to him when he spoke, pausing the back and forth between you that you were sure to continue later. You glanced at Logan and shrugged, indifferent to the names.
“That’ll work,” Logan mirrored your actions.
“Lovely. Tomorrow evening at five. I will have the address ready. In the meantime, here,” he opened his palm and placed two rings on the table, “these are your wedding bands.”
You huffed and took the smaller of the two, Logan picking up the plain silver band. Yours was simple - a false diamond in the middle and two smaller ones on each side.
“What, you couldn’t get me anything bigger?” you joked to Logan, holding up the ring.
“Oh, you want somethin’ big?”
Your eyes went wide and you elbowed him in the arm, groaning in disgust, “Gross.”
—----------------
Five o’clock came fast, your nerves seemingly increasing the speed of time. You’d made a mess of your wardrobe looking for something to wear that was comfortable, but not too ‘you’. What would a rich person wear to a dinner party? How the hell were you supposed to know?
Some nice pants, a blouse and complimenting shoes would have to do - it was the only thing you had that looked relatively formal. Adding some jewelry made it just a little more convincing.
You went down the stairs to meet Logan at the front door, dreading the coming hours. You turned the corner and finally saw him, leaned against the wall with his hands in his pockets. He wore a white t-shirt tucked into his jeans, his boots, and he’d traded his usual leather jacket for a suit jacket. He actually cleaned up pretty nice, but you weren’t gonna tell him that.
He heard your footsteps and turned towards the sound. He could feel the sweat starting to form at the back of his neck.
He’d never seen you in anything nice like that - you never really had any occasions to dress up for - and he hated how much he liked it. Your pants hugged you perfectly, your blouse was buttoned low and you even had on a little bit of makeup.
“You don’t look too bad,” he managed to comment, opening the door for you.
“That’s probably the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me,” you realized aloud, the both of you heading towards Logan’s truck, “You look alright.”
“Thank you, Mrs. Smith.”
“You’re welcome, Mr. Smith.”
He opened the car door for you, uncharacteristically gentlemen-like.
You shot him an odd look and got in anyway.
“I’m practicing,” He explained, shutting your door and walking around to slide into his seat, “can’t have anyone thinkin’ I’m a shit husband.”
“Good luck.”
“Uh-oh,” Logan had an amused expression, his eyes glued to the road as you began moving, “that’s not wife behavior, sunshine.”
“Bite Me.”
He clicked his tongue, “Feisty. Oh - I can use that when people ask about us! I’ll say it's one of your absolute worst qualities that any man would be repulsed by, but that our love is blind.”
You scoffed, “Great, and I’ll get to tell them you spend sixteen hours brushing your hair into cat ears and shed all over the bathroom like an animal.”
“See - now, that one seems a little personal.”
“It is.”
“Just pretend for a night that I’m the man of your dreams, okay?” he asked, “pretend I’m, uh - I don’t know, some celebrity guy you have a crush on.”
You were silent for a second, engrossed in thought, “you look nothing like Hugh Jackman.”
“Who? You know what - sure, pretend I'm him, alright? Just squint.”
Truthfully - and you’d rather be stabbed than admit it - Logan wasn’t far off from who you could picture yourself with. Strong, kind of handsome, good with kids. He was humble, most of the time. He was just terribly annoying and way too cocky.
It wasn’t long before he was shifting the truck into park and yanking the keys from the ignition. You let him open your door and walked beside him up the front steps.
“You ready, Jack?” you teased.
“Ready as I’ll ever be, Jill.”
He rang the doorbell and you stood awkwardly, eyes scanning your surroundings. The house was huge - probably only a bit smaller than the mansion - and modern, something probably built in the last ten years. The front lawn was impeccable, as were the marble statues strategically placed between foliage and flora.
The door opened and you inhaled sharply, trying to prepare yourself to lie your ass off.
“Hello! You must be Mr. and Mrs. Smith! So lovely to meet you, please - come in,” a woman ushered you in, her neck and ears decorated in pearls. You recognized her immediately, Charles having shown you both a picture of the hostess beforehand. You politely greeted her and introduced yourselves, already scanning the room for an emergency exit in case things went sour.
“So,” she continued talking, leading you to sit in the living room with the other mingling guests,”tell me a little about yourselves! John wasn’t very descriptive when he mentioned you. What do you do for work?”
Whoever John was, you silently thanked him.
“Uh, well,” you began, nervously glancing at Logan, “I’m a bank teller.”
Plain, boring, inconspicuous,
She then looked to Logan expectantly, awaiting his answer.
“Cage fighter.”
Jesus Christ. You were glaring daggers into the side of his smiling face and he pretended not to notice.
“Really?” the woman in front of you inquired, a hand on her chest. You watched her eyes scan him up and down, landing on the pecs prominent through his shirt. You scoffed out of instinct, faking a cough to cover it up.
‘Oh, yeah. Undefeated MMA champ.”
You looked away to hide the scowl on your face when your eyes locked on the vodka bottle sitting on the table a few feet away with a collection of other booze. Bingo.
“Will you excuse me for just a moment?” you smiled politely and walked away before Logan could protest, leaving him to his own devices.
You twisted the top off the bottle and picked up a glass, filling it with Vodka and some soda that was left on the table. You almost walked away with it, planning to keep it in your hands until you felt your nerves subside, until you remembered you were supposed to be a wife. Wives brought their husbands drinks, right? Not doing so would look rude and rude might blow your cover. So, you reluctantly picked up another glass and filled it partially with whiskey, knowing it was something he’d drink. You happened to glance across to the kitchen and notice a neat little rack of spices and condiments on the counter. A bottle of soy sauce was front and center, like a message from the universe, and you giggled to yourself as you snatched the bottle and hid it up your sleeve - this could be a good night if you made it entertaining.
You returned to Logan with both glasses, handing him the one filled with significantly darker liquid. He looked a little surprised but accepted it anyway.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” he said with narrowed eyes, a look that asked ‘what are you up to now?’
You simply nodded in acknowledgement, smiling at the hostess still standing in front of you.
“She’s a keeper,” he continued, holding the glass up to his mouth, “ always knows exactly what I like.”
You bit back a snicker as you watched him tilt the glass and finally take a sip.
His eyes went to yours immediately. He pulled the glass from his lips, mouth still obviously full of whiskey and soy sauce. If looks could kill, you’d be long dead.
“Good, honey?” you smiled wide then, taking a sip of your own drink.
“Mhm,” he hummed, clearly fighting a grimace. He swallowed and nearly gagged, coughing into his fist, “mhm, just a little strong.”
“Oh,” the hostess began, “Jack was just about to tell us how you met!”
A couple of guests had gathered in the same spot, all lingering in a semicircle. Logan was quite the charmer and it wasn’t a surprise that he already had a couple of women gawking at him, hanging on his every word as if any of it was true.
“Was he?” your tone was shrill but you attempted to appear playful, lightly smacking him on the arm, “Oh, honey, you should really let me tell it.”
Whatever he was about to come up with, you hoped it was not in the same outlandish category as cage fighting. Before you could begin, though, he dismissively waved his hand in your direction.
“No, no - you’re a little forgetful, sweetheart,” his grin was mischievous as he turned to speak to the surrounding guests, “so, it all started with a tshirt competition at a bar where the girls had to - “
“Nope! Nope,” you interjected, doing your best to keep your tone light and shaking your head, “haha - that must have been another girl, honey!”
That earned a few chuckles from the guests around you and you took the opportunity while everyone's attention was on you to try and spin a tale of your own.
“So, we actually met a couple years ago,” you started, mulling over what true details to sprinkle in or if you should make it up entirely, “uh - in a library.”
It wasn’t entirely untrue. You’d been at the mansion for a couple days before you bumped into him in the library while gathering books to try and put together your first lesson plan. You had a cup of coffee in one hand and a stack of books in the other - admittedly stupid - but you’d always been careful. Except for that once.
You had a book open in your arms, resting atop the stack you already gathered. You were walking and reading - again, admittedly not very smart - when you bumped into someone, spilling coffee on both of you and sending the stack of books to the floor with an audible thump.
“Fuck, sorry -” you began to apologize, finally looking up to the strangers face. It was Logan, of course, though you didn’t know that at the time. You remember thinking he was handsome with his scruffy mutton chops and well groomed hair - until he opened his mouth.
“What the hell is wrong with you, kid?”
You knew it was partially your fault but were irked by his attitude.
“Dude, you weren’t paying attention either, obviously!” you snapped back, looking down at the beige stain now adorning your white button up.
“I’m not the one who carries coffee and a shit ton of books at the same time.”
“Whatever.”
That was your grand introduction, neither of you even exchanging names.
Logan remembered it about the same way you did, though the version he tells is a little different. He loved to tell people that when you bumped into him, it was because you were so lovestruck that you just walked right into him. The part he always left out, though, was the first thing he thought when he saw you. He’d scolded you before even looking up to see who you were and when he had, he wished he’d reacted a little differently.
You were beautiful, even with coffee spilt all over yourself. You looked like a girl he’d only ever dreamed of, all the way down to the color of your hair and eyes. Unfortunately, he’d already been an asshole. So, from then on, that was basically your shtick - bickering over little things, calling each other names - all to the amusement of everyone around you. It wasn’t meant to be funny, but it was obvious to everyone else that the kind of teasing you did was only because you had feelings for one another - like two elementary school kids - and neither one of you seemed to know how to approach it. The mask would slip sometimes for either one of you - when he’d place a hand on your lower back, the times he’d managed to pin you to the mat during training - and you’d always find yourself staring at the ceiling that night, overthinking every interaction you’d had until the sun came up. He was never any better off, pacing in his room to try and decipher what the hell it was he actually felt for you.
Anyway, you decided to stick to the real story, minus the part where you insulted each other.
“We bumped into each other, literally, and I had coffee and a bunch of books in my arms. So, I drop the books, coffee spills everywhere - of course. Then I looked up at him, and..” you paused, the truth caught in a lump in your throat.
“And it was love at first sight,” Logan added, grinning down at you, “for both of us.”
His eyes were trained on yours and he continued to contribute to the story.
“The second I saw her, I fell in love.”
He was still looking at you. Why was he still looking at you like that? You were supposed to be husband and wife, right, but he was leaning into it far heavier than you expected. It felt like you were the only ones in the room.
A couple ‘aw’s were shared between guests and you smiled politely at the reminder that you were in fact not the only people in the room. As the conversation switched to another topic and someone else began to speak, you felt Logan’s hand at the back of your head, gently playing with your hair. Your face was pink - he was being too nice.
A short while later, you were sitting on the couch beside him, listening to someone’s drawn out story that you stopped paying attention to after six minutes.
“I’m gonna go take a piss,” Logan uttered unceremoniously and stood from the couch. He disappeared into the house and not even a minute later, another guy came to sit in his spot.
“Hey,” he put his arm around the back of the couch, his fingertips brushing your shoulder, “I don’t think we’ve met.”
You looked at the fingers grazing your shoulder and sat forward to shrug them off, “nope.”
He told you his name and you couldn’t have cared any less, deciding to actually tune back into the story being told rather than converse with him. He was alright looking, but his approach was far too off putting.
“So, did you come alone?”
You rolled your eyes at his question, opening your mouth to answer before he cut you off.
“Cause It looks like it, and I can’t stand to see a pretty girl alone.”
You groaned in disgust, hoping if you were dry enough in your answers, he’d leave you be.
“mhm.”
It wasn’t really an answer to anything, just a noise of affirmation. You hoped he’d get the hint then, but of course, he didn’t. In what would probably be the stupidest thing he’d done that night, the guy moved his arm from the back of the couch so he could squeeze your thigh. Right as you were about to tell him to fuck off, you saw a hand grip his shoulder from behind. Logan was leaning over the sofa, bringing his face a little lower so he wouldn’t cause a scene, his dog tags hanging when he leaned forward. He had a death grip on the guy's shoulder while he used his other hand to steady himself against the sofa.
“Hey, bub.”
The guy looked a little terrified, to say the least, but Logan didn’t let up there.
“Do you always go around hittin’ on people’s wives? Or is it just mine?”
His eyes were wide and he looked like he wanted to run but that wasn’t going to happen as long as he was in his grip.
“I-I didn’t, uh, I didn’t know she - “ the guy sputtered, trying to nervously laugh it off.
“Mhm. Hey, tell you what - why don’t you leave my girl alone and maybe I’ll give you a five minute head start to get the fuck out of here.”
He let go of his shoulder and that was enough to drive him away, the guy scurrying to his feet and finding somewhere else to mingle.
You didn’t know why you found yourself smiling the moment he’d said ‘my girl’. You rid yourself of it with a shake of your head, reminding yourself you were there to do a job.
“Hey,” Logan leaned himself down even further so he could whisper, “I gotta show you something, c’mere.”
You quirked an eyebrow at him but got up to follow. He stopped in the hallway in front of the bathroom, looked around to see if anyone would notice you, and promptly dragged you in with him before closing and locking the door. He hit the light switch and you looked around.
“Do you always take girls to the bathroom on first dates?” you teased, crossing your arms.
“You’d have to go out with me to find out,” he remarked, “besides, it’s not like that. Look.”
You watched him get low to the ground to open the cupboard under the sink and you crouched with him, following his pointing finger to the wood paneling in the back. It looked like a fake back - a board that appeared to be the back of the cabinet but definitely had something behind it. There was a sliver of metal visible behind it when you shined your phone’s flashlight.
“I figured we should look everywhere, so while I was in here I was checking it out - saw that. You think that’s it?”
“Could be,” you answered honestly, “that, or it’s some sort of electrical box we’re about to rip out of the wall. It’s an odd hiding spot for a safe.”
“Not really. Think about it - where's the first place you’d look for a safe?”
“Bedroom or office, maybe.”
“Right, and where's one of the last places you’d check?” he gestured to the open cabinet.
“Under…the sink,” you realized aloud, looking between him and the wooden board.
“Exactly,” he nodded, swiping the contents of the cabinet onto the floor to gain access, “here’s the thing, though - I’m too big to get in there.”
He could maybe stick his head in, but in order to duck under the pipes from the sink, he’d need to have shoulders that were much less broad.
You sighed, knowing what that meant.
“Alright, alright - move. This better be it.”
You reluctantly crawled under the sink and into the cabinet on your hands and knees. You yanked the wooden board with all your strength and it came free, revealing a metal safe.
“Got it! You were right, it’s the safe.”
Logan simply hummed in response, clearing his throat. You figured he’d be a little more enthusiastic.
Truthfully, he was too busy staring at your ass in the nice pants you were wearing to pay attention. When he heard your voice, he shook his head, as if to rid himself of the thoughts he was having about you so he could think of a response. He’d always thought you were beautiful, but seeing you all dressed up drove him a little crazy.
“Yeah? Is it locked?”
You inspected the metal box, holding the absurdly large padlock hooked around the latch that opened the door.
“Uh-huh. Padlock - we’re gonna need the numbers.”
“No, we don’t. Bring it out.”
You did as you were told, crawling back out with the safe under your arm and placing it on the bathroom rug. It was a pretty small one - probably a little bigger than a basketball.
Logan picked it up and set it on the counter beside the sink. He unsheathed a claw and sliced through the metal latch that held the door closed in one swift motion.
“Well, yeah - that's one way to do it,” you shrugged.
“Easiest way to do it.”
He reached in and took out the small glass vial. He put it inside the pocket of his suit jacket.
“What if it falls out?” you asked.
“It won’t.”
“How do you know?”
“Alright, kid,” he sighed, “what do you want me to do with it? ‘Cause i’m sure as hell not lettin’ you carry it.”
You rolled your eyes and looked him over.
“How about you wrap it in your jacket, like cushioning?”
“Fine.”
He reluctantly shrugged off his jacket, keeping the vial in the pocket but folding the jacket into a ball. You hastily replaced everything in the cabinet, safe included, and you followed Logan as he opened the door to step out - only to be met with another guest, her fist raised to knock.
“Oh! Dear,” she chuckled, clearly a little startled. She looked to the both of you, a grin appearing on her face, “Young love, what a gift. Don’t worry, I didn't see a thing!”
You shot her a confused look, chuckling nervously before you happened to catch a glance of your reflection in the bathroom mirror.
Your hair was mussed and your blouse was untucked on one side from having to bend up and down. Logan had taken off his suit jacket and you realized what it was she was implying.
“Oh, oh - we weren’t -”
“It’s alright, honey,” she responded as you stepped out, “like I said - my lips are sealed.”
She shot you both a wink, went into the bathroom and shut the door.
“She thought we were fucking in there,” you mumbled, eyes wide in embarrassment.
“Is that so bad?”
You snapped your head towards him, a confused look on your face, “what?”
Logan shrugged, “we're supposed to be husband and wife, aren't we?”
You shook your head in disbelief and decided to ignore him, both of you joining the other guests back in the living room. Dinner was finally ready and everyone took their seats in the dining room. There were a couple of things on the table you couldn’t even pronounce.
“Is that…meat? A vegetable?” you leaned over to logan, whispering behind your hand and nodding towards one of the dishes.
“Hell if I know,” he muttered, “I don’t think I wanna find out.”
You both piled on the few things onto your plates, poking at it with your forks.
“Do you wanna get a pizza after this?” you whispered.
“Definitely,” he replied, pushing around an unrecognizable sludge with his utensil.
“So, how long did you two say you’ve been together?” You both looked up, only to be met with the hostess’ stare. You had never mentioned how long you’d been ‘together’. Her smile was polite but her stare was piercing, as if she knew something she was not supposed to.
“About three years,” you replied, looking to him for back up.
“We got married a couple months in,” he added, grinning at you. Again, he had that look - like he wasn’t just pretending to be in love with you.
“We were in this restaurant - this little place we go to all the time,” he kept talking, “and I just told her I thought she was beautiful, that I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life.”
“Really? I have to say,” she began, sipping from her glass,” for a young couple who got together so quickly, you two don’t seem very affectionate towards each other.”
Shit. Shit, shit, shit.
You shot Logan a panicked look, but he appeared unbothered.
“Ah,” he clicked his tongue,” it’s this rule she’s got about PDA. I’d be all over her if I could.”
You hated the way your face became hot. You couldn’t tell if he was leaning into it to be convincing or flirting just to make you flustered. You heard a muffled snicker from somewhere across the table and your eyes shifted to the source - it was the woman from earlier, the one who’d thought you and Logan were getting busy in the bathroom.
“Can I at least get a kiss, babe?” Logan cooed, a smug look on his face.
“What are you doing?” you whispered, eyes wide.
“Being a husband,” he replied in a hush voice.
It all happened within seconds. His hands cupped your face, warm and soft, and he leaned in to plant a kiss right on your lips. It was gentle and you melted into his touch, kissing him back. When he pulled away, you were still stunned, your lips parted in surprise.
Logan kissed you.
His lips tasted like the remnants of cigar smoke. His touch was nearly intoxicating, like you were drunk off just the way he held you. You inhaled sharply and finally turned your face out of his grip, eyes glued to the table cloth. You had almost forgotten where you were - feeling like the room was spinning - and you let out a nervous laugh.
The topic of discussion moved on quickly and it seemed like any suspicion the hostess had about either of you had dissipated. You and Logan decided to say your goodbyes immediately after dinner, making some excuse about having to wake up early the next morning. When you stepped out and he shut the door behind him, you couldn’t hold your tongue any longer.
“What the hell was that?” you spat, eyebrows knitted.
“What was what?”
He was completely nonchalant as he continued to walk next to you towards his truck.
“You kissed me.”
“I did.”
“You didn’t have to.”
He stopped with you at the passenger side of the truck, standing in front of the door so you couldn’t get in.
“What if I wanted to?”
You swallowed hard. It was dead silent outside, save for the chirping of crickets.
“What?”
“I wanted to,” he admitted, chewing his bottom lip, “I wanted to kiss you.”
You didn't know what to say. He hated you, didn’t he?
“Logan, I - “
“You can’t tell me you didn’t feel anything in there, pretending to be together.”
His voice almost sounded strained, like he was pleading.
“You don’t even like me, you hate me,” you deflected, but he shook his head.
“That’s not true. I never hated you. I figured you’d hate me after I acted like an asshole when we met, so I went with it. I don’t hate you. I think you’re funny, I think you’re pretty - I just never really knew how to tell you that.”
When you only stared in response, he moved aside and opened your door with a defeated sigh. You were still speechless but you hesitantly slid into the seat anyway, letting him close the door. When he got into the driver's side and started the ignition, you couldn’t stop looking over at him.
“So, you like me,” you finally said aloud.
He kept his eyes glued to the road when he responded in a low voice, “why do you think I bother you so much?”
“You pick on me because you like me? Like a little kid?” you couldn’t help the amusement in your voice as your confused expression turned to a smile.
You saw him bite back a smile that mirrored yours, shaking his head.
“I guess you could say that.”
“Well, you’re not too bad, you know, and I guess you’re kind of handsome.”
“Oh, really?”
“Mhm, but don’t make me take it back.”
The rest of the short ride home was spent in comfortable silence, both of you seemingly trying to figure out where you’d go from there. When Logan parked his truck and got out, he came around your side to open your door. You hopped out and he shut the door for you, but grabbed your hand before you started to walk away.
“Hey, c’mere for a second.”
You let him pull you a little closer, intertwining both your hands. The evening air was chilly and you could see his breath in the air when he spoke.
“Can I kiss you, for real this time?”
You could feel your heart beating fast and you nodded eagerly. The second you did, his lips were already on yours. His hands let go of yours to settle in your hair, threading the strands between his fingers. His touch felt warm in comparison to the cold air and you leaned further into him with your hands gripping his jacket to pull him close. When he pulled away, he rested his hands on your waist and planted another kiss on your forehead.
“Maybe we could, uh, try again,” he cleared his throat, running his hands up and down your sides, “be nice to each other this time.”
Truthfully, you couldn’t hate Logan, even though you tried.
You couldn’t hate his perfect hair.
You couldn’t hate his sweet voice.
You couldn’t hate his kind smile.
You couldn’t hate the way he dressed.
You just couldn’t hate Logan Howlett.
So, you kissed him again, smiling against his lips and letting him hold you as close as possible, almost lifting you off the ground with his arms around you.
“We should probably go inside, huh?” you mumbled when you leaned back, lightly scratching the mutton chops on the side of his face in an affectionate manner. Those were another thing you’d pretended to hate - probably because you were embarrassed to admit you thought he pulled them off well.
“As you wish, Mrs. Smith.”
He held his hand out for you to take and you did, eyeing the ring on your finger.
“You know,” you held up your hand to show him the jewelry, “I think i’ll keep this.”
He grinned, bringing your knuckles to his lips and leaving a chaste kiss, “I think i'll keep mine, too.”
You were both still holding hands when you went inside, blushing like two little kids. You were so engrossed in one another that you didn’t notice Jean and Ororo in the hallway ahead of you as he leaned down to kiss you again. Now that he knew he could actually do it, he couldn’t help himself.
“I’ll take it your night went well,” Ororo giggled, Jean doing the same. You jumped a little in surprise, covering your pink face in mild embarrassment.
“What changed? I thought you hated each other,” the latter of the two asked.
“Eh, he’s not so bad,” you teased, shrugging your shoulders.
‘’Turns out, we make a pretty good fake husband and wife,” he explained, “I guess we got a little too carried away with it.”
As the two of you walked hand in hand further down the hall, Ororo elbowed Jean lightly, leaning over to whisper behind her hand.
“You owe me twenty bucks.”

Who's That Girl
summary: after Peter moves out due to unspecified reasons suddenly, the marauders have a room to fill. Luckily, you've just arrived in the UK and are happy to sign the lease
cw: modern au, reader has a mother/maternal figure
roommate!marauders x fem!reader ♡ 1.3k words
“Okay, mom.” You rub your eyes, arm still sore from lugging your suitcase around half of London. “No, I really don’t think so. It’d be a pretty elaborate scheme just to kill me. Our names are all together on the lease, there’d be a paper trail.”
There’s a quiet snicker from the doorway. You look over to find James, one of your new roommates, standing in the threshold of your room. You grimace, miming waving your mother’s concerns away.
“Seriously, you don’t have to worry, I—fine, here. Listen.” You put your hand over the speaker. “I’m so sorry about this,” you tell James. “Can you tell her you’re not going to murder me, please?”
“Why would we murder you?” he asks in an easy, jovial voice. It’s the sort of voice moms love, which is perfect for what you need right now. “We need you alive to pay rent, and anyway we’ve nowhere to hide a body. They started being rather vigilant about the Thames some time ago.”
“He’s joking,” you say quickly into the phone. “Yeah, I’m sure. They do that here, too. Now will you please go to sleep? I’m good, I promise. Okay, call you later. Love you.”
You click the button to hang up with a sigh, dropping back onto your mattress.
“Your mum?” James asks sympathetically.
You hum. “Yeah, sorry. It’s four in the morning for her right now, and she’s all wound up. I appreciate the help.”
Despite your best efforts, you can’t seem to convince your body it’s not four in the morning for you right now. You thought taking the red eye to London would help you adjust quickly to the time change, but a sleepless flight has only made you weary and disoriented. You screwed up the route from the airport to your new flat, realizing only around Richmond that you’d gone the complete wrong direction on the wrong tube line. It took you a solid hour longer to get to your flat than you planned. When you saw Sirius, who’d posted the flat in an online roommates group, waiting on the other side of the door you nearly collapsed into his arms in teary gratitude.
With the haze of fatigue still clouding your thinking, it takes you a few moments to wonder why James has come to stand in your room.
“Did you need something?”
“I was just wondering if you might like breakfast,” he says. His big frame fills the doorway, his shoulder leaning against the frame like it’s a familiar stance.
You try to hide your wariness, your mind filling with images of black pudding and beans smeared on toast. “What are you having?”
“Omelets.”
“Yes, please.” You hop out of bed. It’s less bouncy than lurching, but you’re trying to affect vivacity in the hopes you eventually start to feel it.
James leads you towards the kitchen. Your room, you discovered when you arrived, is even duller than the pictures online. The previous tenant either hadn’t decorated at all or had moved out in a hurry, leaving only a bed and some trash on the floor. The room is small, with peeling white paint and a tiny window situated oddly in the corner, the scraggly tree outside eclipsing half of the view.
The rest of the flat is a different thing entirely. The common spaces are mostly open; you can see the kitchen from the living room, with everything lit by two large windows looking out onto the street. There’s a funny mishmash of decorations, some pieces hinting at unity and others not so the way it all comes together seems almost like a happy accident. A nice, plush couch sits next to a chair that looks like it was dragged in off the street; there are books stacked against walls and album covers being used for coasters; a collection of vinyl records sits on the mantle next to a bluetooth speaker and above stockings seemingly left out since Christmas. It’s definitely a space decorated by boys, but you like it. It feels homey.
“My mum would be in a right state if I up and moved continents,” says James, walking into the kitchen. He takes up position behind the stove, next to where Remus is making tea. “Is it the city she’s worried about?”
“It’s everything,” you admit, lingering awkwardly at the edge of the kitchen. You don’t want to be in the way. “It’s the city, it’s the male roommates, it’s the Facebook post she saw about muggings…”
“Flatmates,” Sirius corrects you from the kitchen table. “We’re not roommates, we don’t share a room. Maybe you ought to clarify that, might calm her down a bit.”
“Flatmates,” you amend. “She does not like that I have guy flatmates. Can I help?”
“Don’t,” says Sirius. “Remus is a control freak in the kitchen. Real finicky.”
“I’m not finicky.” Somehow, you can tell Remus is rolling his eyes even without him turning it around.
“You nearly took my head off over the way I cook chicken last week.”
“The way you cook chicken nearly burned down the flat.”
“Y/n,” Sirius says, seriously, “do as I do.” He pats the seat next to him at the table.
You glance at James hesitantly, but he waves you off. When you join Sirius in sitting down, you forget to suppress the sigh that collapses out of you.
Sirius tuts. “Jet lagged?”
Lag feels too kind a word for what your body is doing to you. “Yeah. Think I’m gonna take a nap after this.”
“Oh, don’t do that,” he says. “I’ve done the whole international travel thing—”
“You’ve been to France,” says Remus drolly. “The time difference is an hour.”
“—and it really is best to just push through,” Sirius finishes as though the interruption went unheard. “You’ll only make matters worse for yourself if you sleep now and then can’t tonight.”
You hate how sound his logic seems. The idea of waiting at least ten hours to put your head to a pillow makes you want to cry.
“So,” James says brightly, “what doesn’t your mum like about you having guys for flatmates?”
Perhaps it can be chalked up to exhaustion that you have so little control over the expression that crosses your face. Luckily, James is too concentrated on his omelet to see it, but Remus isn’t; he grins at you.
“She doesn’t really love the idea of me having roommates at all. Flatmates,” you correct yourself when Sirius gives you a look. “I think because you’re guys, she just sees it as even less safe. Don’t take it personally. Oh, thank you.”
You accept the mug of tea Remus sets in front of you. Sirius has one already half drunk in front of him, and Remus sits down with his own, taking a long sip like it’s the most relished part of his morning. You look into the brown, half-opaque liquid skeptically.
“Has she been this upset since you decided to live with us?” Remus asks.
“Oh, um.” You bob your teabag aimlessly, twisting the string around your finger. “I…sort of assumed she would be. That’s why I didn’t tell her until now.”
You don’t have to take your attention off your tea to feel the stares of all three boys snap to you.
“You didn’t tell her?” James asks, incredulous.
“I didn’t want to give her the chance to argue with me about it.”
“Asking for forgiveness instead of permission.” Sirius nods approvingly, picking up his mug for a sip. “Knew I liked you.”
James appears in distress. “Your mum’s gonna hate us!”
“Don’t mind him,” says Remus. “He’s used to all mothers fawning over him.”
“Not mine,” Sirius objects happily.
“She’s across the ocean, if that helps,” you tell James.
“I can feel her hatred crossing borders,” he says, expression growing increasingly fretful.
“Well, all you have to do is not murder me,” you offer, “and she’ll see that she’s wrong.”
Sirius gives an insouciant shrug. “Pay your rent on time, and we ought to be fine there. No promises, of course.”

Cherry Red, Crimson Blood
Chapter 53: Meeting the Family
Summary: You travel to Scotland with John and Johnny to meet his parents, your caretakers for the next couple weeks.
Pairing: Poly 141 x reader
Word Count: 5,190 words
Warnings: Alpha/beta/omega dynamics, omegaverse, alternate universe, angst, emotions, language, a bit of PTSD and anxiety
A/N: The amount of time I spent looking at maps for this chapter is insane. I'm more acquainted with parts of the UK than I ever thought I'd be. Anyway, not entirely happy with this one but it's done. It's out.
MASTERLIST | <- Previous | Next ->

You’re not ready to say goodbye.
It won’t be forever, but right now it feels like it.
“I’ll see you soon, yeah?” Kyle says, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You’re clinging to him tightly, not ready to let go yet. He’ll be retiring soon as well, ready to join you and John, but that will still take time, longer than it will for even John.
Despite that knowledge, you’re afraid to let go too soon, like he might change his mind.
“Just a few more weeks.” He says, patting your back. It’s warm today, but still you’re wearing a sweatshirt, a big one, one of Simon’s.
You’re not ready to face him yet either.
John pats your shoulder, reminding you you’ll have to leave soon. It’s a long drive to Scotland and you’re already leaving later than you know John would have liked to.
Finally you let go of Kyle, leaning up to kiss him softly. You’ll miss him a lot. You’ll miss all of them. You haven’t been without them since before you were kidnapped. That thought tickles something in the back of your brain, another irrational fear popping up.
You turn to Simon, his eyes almost sad as he looks at you. He’s sans mask, looking sickly under the bright fluorescent lights. You want to say something, tell him to get out and get some sun, but you can’t bring yourself to be sassy right now. He reaches out for you and you fall into him, pressing yourself close to his chest, wrapping your arms tight around him.
With him, it is goodbye.
Sure, you’ll see him every once in a while, but he won’t be coming with John to pick you back up once the paperwork is in. He’ll be staying here, running the task force, leaving to go on deployments with Johnny. The risk of losing him will still be there, the risk of something happening constantly flashing through your mind. The times you’ll get to see him will be bittersweet with the knowledge he’ll have to leave and go back to the dangers of this life.
Tears leak out of your eyes as you hold him, wetting his shirt. His face is pressed into your hair, breathing you in. You take the time to breathe him in too, committing his scent to memory. You’ll wear his sweatshirt until his scent is gone from it, until he disappears.
“I’m gonna miss you.” You say quietly, voice muffled against his chest.
“I know.” He mumbles. “We’ll be there as often as we can. Every chance we get.”
“Just come back.” You say. “Always come back.”
“We’ll do our best.” He bends down further, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “I’ll call as often as I can.”
“Good.” You sniffle, releasing him just enough so you can stare up at him. “If you don’t I’ll come down here myself and yell at you.”
The corner of his mouth twitches. “I don’t doubt that.”
He cups your face, leaning down to press his lips against yours. You kiss him hard, pouring all of your emotions, your fears into the kiss. You don’t want to leave him, but you know it wouldn’t be fair to ask him to leave for you. Not right now, not yet.
“I love you.” He breathes, pressing his forehead to yours.
You smile, another tear sliding down your cheek. “I know.”
He smiles, leaning down to kiss you before standing up straight. “Go on. I’ll see you soon.”
You nod, wiping the tears off your cheeks before turning around, facing the door. It’ll be the last time you walk out this door, the last time you’ll have to be inside the barracks. Once you step out, there’s no going back in. You’ll never see this base again, never have to step foot in it again.
It’s almost bittersweet.
This is where you got your start, this is where everything happened. This is where you thought you’d live for the next few years until John decided to retire, if he decided to retire.
Now here you are, getting a chance to leave it all. You’ve never been happier, but at the same time you’ve never been so sad to leave something...someone behind. Months ago you had been afraid of your pack fracturing, being driven apart by you, and now here you are, parting ways. You’ll be leaving, then John, then Kyle. Simon and Johnny will be left behind, a satellite to the rest of you. It’s not entirely uncommon, but with how close you know your pack is, it has an ache blooming in your chest. An ache that will always be there, a longing for your other alpha and his beta.
You step out the door, taking in a deep breath of warm spring air. It’ll be cooler in Scotland, Johnny had said. A good excuse for your sweatshirt. You’re not sure you’ll be able to take it off until the scent wears away.
You climb into the back of the car, making yourself comfortable next to the box of your belongings coming with you. John will bring your other things when he leaves, when the two of you set off for good to start your new life. Johnny climbs in the passenger seat, turning to look at you.
“Ye alright, kitten?” His brows pull together in a frown.
You wipe the tears spilling down your cheeks. “Yeah.”
“I know it’s hard.” He says, reaching back to squeeze your knee.
“I’m scared.” You say quietly.
“Don’t be.” He grins at you. “My folks will take good care of ye. Ma will love ye to death.” he makes a face. “Perhaps literally.”
You can’t help the small smile that forms on your face. That’s not what you’re afraid of, though the prospect of meeting Johnny’s parents has been a stressor for the last few hours. Johnny knows what you’re afraid of, and you know he’s trying to help you in the way he knows how.
John climbs into the drivers’ seat, letting out a quiet sigh as he leans his head back, glancing at you in the rearview mirror. “Ready?”
You try to smile but you’re sure it comes across as more of a grimace. “Do I have to answer that.”
The corners of John’s lips lift in a smile. “No.”
The car starts, Johnny putting on his seatbelt as he settles in for the long drive.
“We’ll be there in six and a half hours if we make good time on the motorway.” John says, pulling away from the barracks. You turn, watching it disappear. Kyle and Simon have stepped out, watching the car drive away. You try not to let your emotions get the best of you, your hands hastily wiping at the tears still falling.
“Ma knows around what time to expect us.” Johnny says, passing over his ID as the car pauses at the gate. “No doubt she’ll bully us into staying the night.”
“I’ll be obliged to accept.” John says, pulling away from base. You don’t turn to look back at it, a weight being lifted off your shoulders as you leave that world behind. “I’d rather not drive thirteen hours today.”
“I can drive partway.” Johnny says, glancing at John.
John is quiet for a moment. “Like I said, I’d rather not drive that long today.”
You try not to smile. You know Johnny is notoriously ridiculed for his wild driving, though he was less wild than you expected when you rode with him and Simon into town that one time. Then again, he knew John would have his hide of anything happened to you. You can only imagine what he’d be like if you weren’t in the car.
Johnny doesn’t say anything, wisely holding his tongue as he settles into the seat, flipping on the radio. You lean your head against the window, watching the green outside pass by.
The green morphs into buildings as John drives, the car quiet aside from the radio. You pass through city after city, green and grey morphing back and forth. You want to sleep, but you can’t get your mind to quiet enough to allow it. You’re going to be exhausted after a restless night and a day of traveling, and no doubt you’ll sleep little tonight in a new place.

“We’re about halfway there.” John says as you stop in Lancaster for lunch.
“Another hour and we’ll be in Scotland.” Johnny grins excitedly. You assume he doesn’t get home much, given the distance. This chance at going home must be exciting for him. You know they haven’t seen their families in at least a year, the time you’ve been with them.
You wonder how long it’s been.
The drive quickly shifts back to green as you leave Lancaster, the towns becoming smaller and the hills starting to grow taller. You do manage to sleep for a few minutes, lulled into a nap by the quiet hum of the car.
“We’re officially in Scotland.” Johnny says, pulling you out of sleep. You’re passing by a town, grey on one side, green on the other.
You’re drowsy, eyes fluttering as you lay against the window, watching the green continue outside. You had no idea just how green England and Scotland were outside of the cities.
The hills shift, growing taller as John continues to drive, a quiet conversation happening in the front seat. You’re too tired to listen in, the emotional turmoil starting to wear at you. You’re ready for a bed and a long nap. It almost makes you miss the familiarity of the barracks. You’d probably be napping right now on the couch if you were still there.
You’d still prefer this, though. Anything to get away from that place, even if it does mean some initial discomfort.
“We’re close.” Johnny says, sounding excited as you rub your eyes. You had drifted off again into a hazy sleep for a few minutes. “Just twenty miles once we’re through Glasgow.”
You hum, sitting up straighter in your seat as the green starts to disappear. You rub your eyes, fighting back a yawn. You can’t attempt to sleep anymore. With your luck you’ll dose off as you’re pulling in the driveway. You want to be wide awake and alert, not that you think you have anything to worry about, but at the same time...your brain won’t let that nervousness disappear.
John and Johnny’s entwined hands rest on the center console, John’s thumb brushing Johnny’s knuckles as the beta nearly vibrates in excitement in his seat. It nearly brings a smile to your face, seeing him so excited to go home.
The trip through Glasgow takes longer than expected due to traffic, but soon you’re leaving the world of tall buildings behind. The world outside grows green again, sprawling hills made up of farmlands passing by as you get closer and closer to your destination. Excitement and nerves begin to bubble up as you get closer and closer to finally meeting Johnny’s parents. You’ve been a bit nervous since last night, since the reality set in that you’d not only be meeting one of your pack mate’s families, but also that you’ll be living with them for a couple of weeks.
It had seemed daunting at the time, but that fear has lessened a bit. You have wanted to meet their families eventually, you just expected to get a little more warning than you got.
“Welcome to Fenwick.” Johnny says as you pass through a small town, hardly more than a main street and a couple neighborhoods. “My parents live on a farm just outside town.” Johnny explains as John turns off the main road and onto a country road.
A farm? You should have guessed given the surroundings, but it’s still surprising to you. Then again, Johnny does act like he was raised in a barn sometimes.
The nerves intensify in your stomach as John turns down a private road leading up to a house. It’s cute, quaint and cozy looking. The door opens as John parks, a woman stepping out followed by a dog. Johnny is out of the car quickly, nearly running to envelop the woman in his arms.
This must be his mother.
John opens your door and you climb out. Johnny had been right, it was cooler here than it was on base. Funny how drastically the weather can change even in such a short distance.
A man steps out the door, John walking over to greet him. He greets him by name, shaking his hand. Of course they’d be familiar with each other’s families. John has probably even met Simon’s family. It was his duty as head alpha. And of course now he’s met yours, or at least part of it.
The woman, Johnny’s mother you assume, turns her gaze to you as she pulls away from Johnny. A big smile forms on her face, the same smile as Johnny’s.
“Look at ye.” She says, reaching out for you. You step forward into her grasp, nerves pulsing in your stomach. “Such a bonnie lass.” She cups your face, taking a long look at you. “Johnny’s been singing ye praises but he didnae do ye justice.”
You’re not quite sure what to say. Of course Johnny would talk about you to his family. They all probably knew about you, but just how much Johnny’s shared...you hope it’s nothing embarrassing.
“I’m Johnny’s ma.” She says, thankfully not letting you stand in silence for very long.
“It’s nice to meet you ma’am.” You say.
“Oh none of that.” She says. “Ye can call me Lily. Or ma.” She gives you a smile. “We’re so glad to have ye here. I’ve been wantin’ tae meet ye since Johnny told us about ye.”
“I didn’t even think he’d told anyone about me.” You say, your face warming just a bit under the attention.
“Oh he was right singing yer praises nearly before ye joined.” She wraps an arm around you. The soothing scent of beta fills your nose, along with the warm scent of spices. “I think ye could say he was excited.”
You giggle, imaging Johnny being excited about your joining the pack before you even arrived. He had been one of the friendliest at first, him and Kyle. You thought it had just been politeness, but now you’re questioning that.
The man approaches you, Lily steering you towards him. Johnny’s dad you assume. Johnny takes more after his mom as you study his face, though he has his dad’s ears.
“It’s an honor to meet ye.” He says, holding out his hand.
“I could say the same, sir.” You say, taking his hand.
“Call me Murray.” He says, giving your hand a firm squeeze. The scent of alpha is spilling off of him. You hadn’t put much thought into Johnny’s parents’ statuses. It makes sense though, that Johnny would come from an alpha/beta pairing. He’s always had that cocky confidence that comes from being around an alpha, even if he is a beta himself. “Been hearin’ about ye nonstop for a year now. Was wonderin’ when we’d get to meet ye.”
Your face warms at his words. Lily was right, Johnny really has been singing your praises for weeks. You had no idea.
“It’s good to finally meet you.” You say. “I wasn’t sure when I’d get the chance.”
“We’re so glad ye’ve finally made it.” Lily squeezes you before releasing you to turn on John. “John, give me a hug, boy.”
A smile forms on your lips as John hugs Lily. Out of everything you couldn’t imagine someone calling John ‘boy’.
The dog that had come out with them sniffs your feet, its tail wagging. Border Collie, you think.
“Who’s this?” You ask, squatting down in front of the dog.
“This is Storm.” Murray says. “Our old herding dog. Bron is our other dog. He’s out back still.”
“Hello, Storm.” You say, holding your hand out. She sniffs it before licking it softly. You pat her head, her tail still wagging. You hadn’t expected a dog, but then again, you hadn’t expected an entire farm either.
You push yourself back up to stand, Storm turning to head back into the house. Lily wraps an arm around you again. “Let’s go inside. Get ye out of the cold.” She says.
You let her lead you inside, warmth radiating through the door. There’s a fire in the fireplace, the door opening to the main room. It’s cozy inside, decorated warmly with photos all over the walls, well loved furniture, lots of blankets and pillows. It’s like heaven to your omega as she settles in comfortably. You’re going to like being here.

The three of you sit on the couch in front of the fire with mugs of warm tea on the coffee table. Murray has gone back outside to tend to the sheep while Lily bustles around, making sure you’re all comfortable.
“I assume you’re staying the night.” She says, putting a tray of biscuits down on the table. “Wouldnae want ye to drive all the way back so late.”
“If it’s alright with you.” John says, picking up his mug.
“Of course.” Lily says, taking a seat in one of the chairs. “Ye know yer always welcome here.”
“Thank you.” John says, giving her a soft smile before taking a drink.
Storm lays herself down at your feet, and you lean down to pet her head.
“She likes ye.” Lily says. “Have ye ever had a dog before?”
You shake your head. “No, my dad wouldn’t let us. We moved around too much and there were too many of us kids, he said. Of course, it was his fault there were so many of us.”
Lily chuckles. “Aye, if we didnae have the farm I doubt we’d have them either.”
“You had lots of children?” You ask.
Lily turns to Johnny. “John Lachlan MacTavish did ye tell her nothing about us?”
Johnny’s ears go red as he sinks back onto the couch. “I’ve told her a little…”
Lily rolls her eyes, shaking her head before turning her attention back to you. “Aye, five wee ones, including Johnny. He’s the baby of the family. Two oldest are girls, then a boy, then another girl.”
A lot about Johnny is starting to make sense.
“They’re all grown and off in their own lives. Johnny’s the only one that doesnae come home often.” Lily says, giving Johnny a look.
“I told ye I’m busy.” Johnny nearly pouts.
“Too busy to visit your poor old parents.” Lily shakes her head.
Murray comes back in, dropping his boots at the back door before joining you in the other chair, sinking into it with a sigh. Another dog follows him in, another border collie. Bron, Murray had said. “Got them all in fer feedin’.” He says. Lily gets up, pouring him a cup of tea as well. “What were ye talkin’ about?”
“How yer son is too busy tae come see us.” Lily says, taking her seat again. The other dog wags its tail as it comes over to the couch, sniffing at John.
“Aye off savin’ the world, right?” Murray says, giving Johnny a wink.
“Something like that.” John says, stretching his arm across the back of the couch.
“It’ll be nice havin’ someone here tae take care of again.” Lily says. “Been a long time.”
“I really appreciate it.” You say.
“Of course, hen. It’ll be a nice break from all those men.”
You giggle. “They are a bit much sometimes.”
“Hey!” Johnny says, offended.
“You know it’s true.” You say, turning to look at him.
He holds his hands up. “Yer right.”
“What about yer family?” Lily asks. “What were they like?”
You shrug. “As good as they could be, I suppose. We were a big family pack, lots of pups. I was the fourth oldest of eight.”
“Christ almighty, eight?” Lily shakes her head. “Yer poor mother.”
You smile. “She never complained. But then again I don’t think she could. We’re all purebred, mom was the omega. My dad was a traditionalist.”
“Traditionalist shite.” Murray murmurs.
“Murray.” Lily says exasperatedly, giving him a look.
“It’s true.” He says holding his hands up.
“Can’t say I disagree.” You say. “My dad was very strict. He had this vision of what his family had to be and that’s all we could be. He wanted all alphas so when I presented he didn’t like that very much.” John’s hand runs over your hair. “He sent me to an institute right away.”
“Ye poor deary.” Lily says sympathetically, tears in her eyes. “It’s not right being treated like that.”
“Couldn’t even imagine treating yer own children like that.” Murray says.
“I’m glad ye have the boys now.” Lily says. “They’ve treated ye well?”
“Very well.” You nod. “I’m lucky to have them.”
“Good.” Lily grins. “Don’t have tae smack some sense into them.” She pushes herself up to stand. “I’m going tae start on dinner.”
“Can I help?” You ask.
“Not this time, you sit and rest after a long day.” She says, Storm getting up from your feet to follow her into the kitchen.
Murray and John strike up a conversation as you lean into Johnny, resting against his side.
“I like your parents a lot.” You say as he wraps his arm around you.
“Good.” He says, kissing the top of your head. “They’re gonnae spoil ye rotten.”
You smile softly, already knowing that’s going to be the case. You can feel yourself starting to settle in, the warmth and coziness of the house soothing you into a state of security and comfort. You know that might change once Johnny and John leave, but part of you doesn’t think so. You’re going to miss them terribly, but at the same time, you feel you’ll be very much at home here.

“Ye can stay in Johnny’s old room.” Lily says, leading you down the hall. John is following, your bag in hand. She opens a door, turning on the light.
You step into the small room, looking around. It’s decorated as you’d expect a boy’s room to be. There’s posters on the wall of soccer players, old photos and drawings interspersed. The shelf in the corner is packed full of books and various nick-nacks, and on top are a few trophies, all for Soccer.
“I didn’t know you played soccer.” You say as Johnny steps in after you.
“Aye,” He says, his chest brushing your back as you pick up one of the trophies. “Was pretty good too.”
It almost makes you sad, thinking he gave up something like that to join the military. He had his heart set out though, given you know he lied about trying to join early, and he loves what he does. Maybe someday when he retires he’ll get back to playing recreationally.
You set the trophy back on the shelf, turning to face him. You stare up at him, those bright blue eyes hooded as he looks down at you. His arms wrap around your waist, pulling you against his chest. His lips turn up in a smile as he stares down at you, something shining in his eyes.
“What?” You ask, looping your arms around his neck.
“Nothin’,” He says, shaking his head. “Just thinkin’ about how much I love ye.”
Warmth floods your face as you turn a bit bashful. “Well, I love you too.” You say, scratching your nails across the back of his neck.
He nearly purrs, leaning down to kiss you softly. You pull back as footsteps approach the room, Lily appearing in the doorway.
“I pulled out the old air mattress.” She says, setting a box down on the floor. “Figured ye’d all want tae sleep together.”
“Thanks, ma.” Johnny says, pulling away from you completely.
“Bathroom’s down the hall,” She says, smiling softly. “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.” You say, giving her a small smile before heading for your bag as the boys work on the air mattress.
You head to the bathroom, getting yourself changed into your pajamas and ready for bed. You set your toiletry bag down on the counter before staring at yourself in the mirror. You look tired and worn out. It’s been a long couple of days. You haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep since you arrived at the barracks, and you don’t doubt you’re in for another. You never sleep well in new places, even with two members of your pack here.
You have nothing to worry about, but at the same time, you can’t stop that nagging in the back of your brain. What if something happens? What if someone comes for you once you’re alone? Maybe it was a bad idea leaving the barracks. There was no threat there, only the one in your mind.
You don’t want anything to happen to Johnny’s parents.
Your hands are shaking as you leave the bathroom, heading back down the hall to Johnny’s room. They’ve got the air mattress set up in the middle of the floor and you have to step over it to get to your bag.
“You and Johnny take the bed.” John says, already changed into his pajamas. “I figure you’ll want more time with him.”
Right. Once Johnny leaves tomorrow you won’t see him for what might be months. He’ll be staying on base with Simon, still active in his duties. It’ll just be John coming to get you in a couple weeks.
You swallow down the emotions, climbing onto the soft bed. It’ll be a tight squeeze, but you’re used to that. No doubt you’ll wind up pressed against the wall as Johnny spreads himself out in the night. He likes to take up as much space as possible.
Johnny joins you on the bed, slipping under the covers. You both lay on your sides facing each other. Johnny’s hand slides down your arm before wrapping around your own. You lace your fingers with his, squeezing his hand lightly.
“You’ll be alright.” He says softly. “Ma and Pa will take good care of ye.”
“That’s not what worries me.” You whisper.
“There’s nothing coming for ye.” He says, squeezing your hand tightly. “There’s nothin’ out there that wants tae hurt ye. No one but us knows yer up here.”
“Yeah, but-”
“None of that.” Johnny interrupts you, leaning forward to kiss your forehead. “We’ll all be fine. Ma and Pa can take care of themselves if it comes to it, which it won’t.”
You sniffle, tears pooling in your eyes. Johnny kisses the back of your hand, slipping his other arm under your neck to pull you close.
“I’ve got ye.” He says, squishing you up against his chest. “Nothin’s gonnae happen.”
John enters the room again, closing the door behind him before shutting off the light. There’s a nightlight on the far wall casting a soft glow around the room. Whether that was already there or if John brought it for you, you have no idea. Either way it’s comforting, fighting back the horrors waiting for you in the dark.
John approaches the bed, leaning down to press a kiss to your lips. It’s soft and sweet, chasing away the fears and the tears for now. He leans over to kiss Johnny softly before he backs away, laying himself down on the air mattress with a sigh.
You lay there awake as Johnny’s breathing starts to slow, ear pressed against his chest so you can hear the soft inhale and exhale, the steady beating of his heart. John’s breathing slows too, soft snores starting to slip through his lips. You’re going to miss this in your time alone, the sounds of them breathing, the knowledge that they’re close. It almost makes you regret leaving the barracks so soon.
Almost.

“Be good for them, yeah?” John says, running a hand over your head. You nod, trying not to let any tears fall. “I’ll be back to get you in a couple weeks.” He bends down, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Time will fly and I’ll be here before you know it.”
You hope he’s right.
It’s cold out this morning, earlier than you would have liked, but Lily and Murray were already up by the time the three of you got up for breakfast. It’s cold and damp, the air biting through your sweatshirt, Simon’s sweatshirt. John had left a shirt for you bathed in his scent, something to offer comfort until he returns.
“I’ll miss you.” You say softly, leaning against his chest.
“I know.” He says, rubbing your back. “I’ll miss you too.”
A stray tear slides down your cheek and you hastily wipe it away. You step back from him, turning towards Johnny. He opens his arms and you slide into them, resting against his chest. He’s warm, fighting against the cold nipping at your cheeks.
“I’m gonnae miss ye so much, kitten.” He says, pressing his face into your hair.
“Not as much as I’ll miss you.” You say, frantically fighting the tears threatening to fall.
“We’ll come visit as often as we can.” He says. “I’ll even drive carefully.”
You can’t stop the laugh that escapes you. Of course he’d be the one to drive. You’ve never seen Simon drive, but you’ve picked up enough to know there’s a reason for that.
You hold Johnny for a long moment, breathing him in for what you know will be the last time in a long time. He’ll be going back to work, back to deployments and the world of danger you desperately wish they’d leave behind. You know that’s too much to ask. This is their life, their livelihood, the thing they’ve dedicated years to. It was a shock John decided to leave, and you know it’s going to take a lot more than that for Simon and Johnny to finally make that decision.
“Take care of him.” You say softly.
“I’ll try.” Johnny says, leaning down to kiss you softly.
You lean into him, kissing him like it’s the last time you’re going to see him. It is, at least for a while. Just like a year ago, you’ll never know if this kiss will be your last.
You don’t want to let him go but you know you have to. John wants to get on the road, get back to Hereford. He still has a job to do for the next couple weeks. You wonder how slowly they’ll drag on for him, how time will pass so different for the two of you. Him waiting for his request to be finalized, you waiting for him to come get you. Here at least you’ll have distractions. You’ll be comfortable, safe.
Even if you don’t entirely believe that.
You let go of Johnny, taking a step back. You watch them get into the car, waving to Lily who's standing in the doorway before starting the car. You watch the car pull down the driveway, standing there until it disappears around the bend.

Hello! Can I request a one-shot or drabble—whatever you prefer? Could it be about the Sinners premiere, where the reader is seen with Michael and fans start to ship them?
Today is one of the many premiere dates for your new movie Sinners. As you arrive at the premiere, your stomach ties itself in knots as the sound of fans gets louder.
“Are you ready?” your manager asks, looking at you as you smooth your hands over your dress to soothe your uneasy stomach.
“No, not really,” you reply, looking at your manager, who laughs before patting your back.
“Well, you have no choice, so get out there.”
Your mouth drops open at your manager’s callous attitude toward your nerves. He then pushes his hands out in a shop manager gesture.
“Rude,” you snort, before grabbing the limousine's door handle and pushing the door open.
The sound of screaming fans and media personnel becomes louder, causing you to pause in your attempt to exit the vehicle. You hate this part. Feeling overwhelmed, you exit the vehicle anyway. The driver holds out his hand so you can rise from the seat more easily without risking exposure and creating a viral moment.
“Thank you,” you utter quietly as you look around, taking everything in.
Your fellow castmates are talking to reporters and taking pictures in front of a Sinners backdrop.
“Don’t forget to smile,” your manager says from behind you, causing you to turn around and see them holding a thumbs-up. You shake your head before making your way onto the carpet. As you get closer to the cameras, you still consider turning around. But you continue anyway. Photographers call your name as you step into the spotlight.
“Look over here! You look gorgeous!” they shout. You wave and nod to let them know you acknowledge them. Then you begin to pose and stand still, letting them get their fill.
Unaware that Michael is watching you in that navy blue suit and his infamous grills. He stands there, frozen in time, rendered defenseless by your beauty. He has a longstanding crush on you. At his age, he can’t help it. Your characters play love interests in the movie, but he's always wanted something more.
You told him he’d have to wait until Sinners wrapped before either of you considered pursuing anything—keeping it professional and simple.
As he watches you, he notices you’re clearly uncomfortable. You’re usually good at hiding your anxiety, but over time he’s learned your signs. As you shift and pose, he sees you subtly rubbing your dress and placing your hands together.
“I think she’s a bit overwhelmed,” Wunmi says, watching you stand for the cameras.
“Yeah, I think I’m gonna jump in,” Michael replies without looking away from you.
“You should. Be really sweet to her, Michael,” Wunmi replies, watching him.
Michael steps onto the carpet and stands next to you. He leans into your ear.
“It’s alright. I’m here,” he promises, wrapping his arm subtly around your waist.
The paparazzi shout, “You both look amazing! Lovely couple!”
Michael laughs as your arm wraps around his back to tug on his suit jacket. You lean into his ear.
“Thank you. The cameras are too much for me right now,” you whisper, relieved that he noticed your struggle.
Michael looks at you and replies softly, under the chaos of the paparazzi:
“It’s no problem. I could tell. You were doing that thing—rubbing your dress and clasping your hands for comfort. So I stepped in to be your comfort.”
You hold eye contact, touched by his thoughtful behavior, wishing you could kiss him right now. But you value your privacy, and you both haven’t even had your first date. So you just stare—for now.
The paparazzi continue to snap photos in the background, but you don’t pay them any attention. You’re lost in his eyes.
A Week Later
You and Michael are enjoying dinner at a restaurant he rented out for the night so you could have privacy. You're sitting across from one another, enjoying the first course, when Michael suddenly says:
“Oh, I gotta show you something,” he says, pulling out his phone.
You finish chewing your food and wipe your mouth, waiting for him. Moments later, he pulls up a video of both of you on the premiere carpet.
“They’re shipping us now,” he explains, handing you his phone.
You roll your eyes at the internet’s quickness. “That’s because you make everything so obvious, Michael.”
Michael scoffs mockingly, placing a hand on his chest. “Me? You were the one who kept looking into my eyes. You refused to give me my face back.”
You wave him off with a flick of your hand. “Boy, finish your food.”
Michael laughs, takes his phone back, and you both enjoy the rest of your date.

do you believe me now? | 10
in which spencer reid and inexperienced fem!reader manage to discuss the direction of their physical relationship between makeouts. reader isn't feeling comfortable at her apartment, so they plan their first trip together.
series masterlist
this fic is 18+ warnings/tags: d/s dynamics but not smutty, softdom!spencer/sub reader, mild pda?, hint at switch!spencer, they talk about sex/how r feels about her first time, making out, r has long hair, almost dry humping if you're standing several miles away, unresolved sexual tension, teasing/flirting. don't like? don't read a/n: yayyyyy hi guys!! no idea when part 11 will be out. I missed them. I love them so bad. they are my favorite ever. they are so special to me 4ever. hope u missed them and ur just as happy to see them happy as I am :")
“Do you like eyelet?” Spencer asks, reaching up to grab a set of sheets you couldn’t. He insists that you let him get everything from the top shelf because it’s been handled less.
You shrug, distracted by the angle of his jaw and the line of his throat as he retrieves the plastic package.
It’s Sunday. Three nights in a row spent with him—the longest sleepover streak thus far—and you don’t want to go back to sleeping alone tonight. But you know it’s time. Both of you have things to attend to tomorrow, and you’re not exactly in the habit of getting things done when you’re together. All weekend you’ve lounged in his lap on the couch or tangled yourself in his arms in bed—fully clothed, of course. Spencer had suggested the no-sex rule on Friday, and you’re glad for it. You feel no pressure to be doing more when he’s kissing you or holding you.
Of course, the concept of having sex again crosses your mind—when you’re washing your face and catch a glimpse of the bruises on your neck in the mirror, or when the tips of Spencer’s fingers trace idly over a span of exposed skin on your lower back as you watch a movie on the couch and you’re struck with desire, or you move just right and feel a tiny lingering twinge of soreness. There was a time when if you had Spencer Reid to yourself for three nights, a Navy SEAL wouldn’t have been able to pull you off of him. Now, when you think about the fact that there will be a second time, you get that butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling—but you’re not sure if it’s good or apprehensive.
Either way, it’d be too much right now.
You do miss feeling that kind of closeness with him. That intimacy. It can’t be replicated, no matter how many naps you take together. Probably something to do with brain chemicals and hormones. He could explain it all, if you were brave enough to ask.
So you know it’d be too much… but it’s not that you don’t want it. There is also, of course, the issue of the way he looks. It’s not helping your cognition. It’s not encouraging you to make good choices.
You’re not supposed to be thinking about sex. You’re supposed to tell him if you like eyelet.
“Yeah, I guess.”
Spencer gives you an exasperated look and sighs. He’s wearing his glasses today. His hair is freshly washed and fluffy. The navy blue sweater he’s wearing is about the only step between a button down and pajamas for him, and he looks good in casual clothing. You chew your lip.
He doesn’t notice your ogling. “You’ve said that about everything.”
“I’m really not that passionate about the fabric of my sheets,” you defend, shoulders rising and dropping.
“Surely you like some of them less and some of them more. Usually you jump at the chance to express an opinion.”
Okay. Uncalled for.
He’s obviously kidding. You overreact anyway.
“You suck,” you mumble, brushing past him in search of something suitable for your bed.
Spencer processes this for a moment and then trails after you down the aisle.
“I suck?”
“Here, look. Bamboo. That’s good, right?”
Your boyfriend glances at the package you’ve selected, probably holding back a whole host of facts about bamboo farming in China.
“It’s fine. Why do I suck?”
“Because you implied I’m opinionated.”
“I didn’t imply it. It was an explicit statement.”You groan petulantly and put the sheets back on the shelf with force. Spencer picks them up and follows you deeper into the store. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“You didn’t,” you huff, turning around to face him once you’re safely sequestered in a new aisle. The store’s not busy—an elderly couple roams for fake fruit and towels, humming vacantly to the Muzak, and a single mom wrangles her kids in a cart. Back here, it’s just the two of you. “Not really.”
“Then what did?” He asks gently, stepping closer. Spencer’s not overly-affectionate in public, but the tone of his voice, the way he’s looking at you like he can see your thoughts, feels intimate.
You’re helpless when he gets like this, and he probably knows it. It’s an abuse of power and when you can think straight again you’ll have to scold him for it.
“It doesn’t even matter. You’re just gonna drop me off after this anyway.”
He tilts his head like a curious puppy, eyes alight with a good puzzle as he quickly strings together the facts in his head.
“Is that it?”
You frown and hesitate, eyes catching on a loose thread at the hem of his sweater.
“… No.”
“Yeah, it is. You’re upset because I’m taking you home.”
You scramble to deny. “That’s not it.”
“I think it is,” he murmurs, a smile playing at the corners of his perfect mouth.
You study the waxen floor tiles intently.
“Well… I mean, would that be weird? You’re gonna miss me too, right?”
You sound unsure—insecure, even. When you look back up at him, his eyes are melted chocolate, even under the fluorescents. He glances down at your mouth briefly and then over your shoulder.
Pleasekissmepleasekissmepleasekissme.
He doesn’t, but you can tell he really wants to, which is almost as good.
“Of course, I’m going to miss you. But we’ll see each other soon. Probably tomorrow.”
“Unless you get called out on a case. But it’s not even really that. It’s just—how am I supposed to… I don’t know! We just spent three nights together. How am I supposed to go back to sleeping alone for a whole week?”
Maybe you’re too attached to him now, because acknowledging the thought which has been lurking all morning opens the floodgates that were holding back a sea of dread, and you feel it in every inch of your body. Five nights alone stretch out before you like an infinite, impassable forest. Friday is an eternity away, and there’s no guarantee he’ll even be here Friday night, if the team gets a case.
Spencer somehow regards you with both curiosity and innate wisdom, like you’re a new specimen in a familiar field, for a long enough moment that your cheeks begin to warm.
“Sorry, that was embarrassing. I’m being weird, it’s fine—”
Just as you go to walk away, he pulls you carefully back in by the wrist, even closer than before.
“No. You’re sweet,” he murmurs, hand warm even through the knit of your sleeve. Gingerly you look back up at him.
“But you’re not gonna miss me as much as I miss you.”
“Do not undermine my capacity for yearning. I missed you when you were brushing your teeth this morning.”
“Ooh. So clingy,” you tease, though you’re obviously delighted by the information, and he borderline pouts.
“Don’t say that. Say you’re sorry.”
“I’m sorry,” you laugh as he pulls you to his chest, keeping you there with a hand to your back.
“Okay. Now say you love me.”
For a moment you’re distracted by the proximity, the lowering of his voice as he brings you into his space and your faces are only inches apart. The smell of his body wash coming from both of you.
“I love you,” you breathe, and it’s not as teasing as you’d meant for it to be as his eyes dart to your lips.
Even though you’re bossy, is what you don’t say.
This seems to please him, because finally, he’s tilting his head down and pressing a quick kiss to your lips. It’s still enough to make you lightheaded.
“Apology accepted. I love you too,” he murmurs. And then he’s pulling back, trying to walk around you. “Do you wanna stop for coffee on the way back to yours?”
“Wait,” you order, suddenly listless and disoriented in the middle of the aisle. “You’re not gonna…”
Spencer frowns back at you.
“I’m not gonna what?”
“You’re not gonna… say it?”
“… I love you? I did say that.”
“No, there’s—usually when I do stuff you ask me to do, you say—”
Only when the first ray of understanding illuminates his face do you realize you actually shouldn’t have said anything at all.
“Nevermind. Yeah, let’s just go.”
Spencer catches your arm again as you attempt to walk past him, laughing quietly as he leans down to speak in your ear.
“I am not calling you good girl in the small decorative statues aisle.”
“What if we go back to the bedding aisle?” You ask, through the warmth of your own cheeks.
It’s sort of a joke.
“Remember what I said about appropriate context?”
“All those sheets, and duvet covers, and stuff. It’s basically the same.”
When he doesn’t respond, you gather the courage to tear your eyes from a little robot statue and look at him. Eyes ever-so-slightly narrowed, warmed only by a hint of humor. A barely detectable curve of the mouth.
Oops. With all your blind-button pushing, you might’ve accidentally tapped the one responsible for all the marks on your neck—the one that makes him tick in a way which usually ends with you underneath him.
And then, for the first time, you actually watch as he pushes it down—activates some sort of self-cooling system. Probably he understands that whether you meant to be provocative or not, this interaction isn’t headed in a salacious direction. Even if you weren’t in public, the rule is holding fast.
His hand slides from your arm to intertwine with your fingers.
“What are you doing next week?”
You blink at the sudden change in subject and tone.
“Uh… I don’t know. Working, probably.”
“From home?”
“Yeah. Why?”
He chews his lip thoughtfully.
“I… still have a few days of annual leave that I need to use. I don’t know if this is… this might be too much, and you can say no. But Rossi has a place in Shenandoah. It’s a cabin—it’s, it’s really nice, I’ve seen pictures. He used to use it for hunting, I guess now he rents it out in the summer and fall but it’s empty during the off-season and he’s always offering it to the team. It’s only like, an hour away. An hour and nine minutes actually, if you take the 66 Express outside the Beltway from Arlington. I looked it up, um… semi-recently. I’m sure he’d let us use it, if you wanted to come burn four days of leave with me. No pressure. Of any kind. I could also, just, y’know, stay home, and we could still spend time together that way. We could finish Deep Space Nine. Or watch something else. Or watch nothing. Whatever you’d like to do.”
Your heart rate has been increasing steadily since he started his impromptu speech—you’re glad he seems nervous inviting you. You’re a little nervous accepting. A trip together is definitely a new step. But getting the hell out of dodge with him for a few days sounds wonderful.
“I’d love to go,” you say earnestly.
Spencer’s face goes blank for a second, and then his eyebrows raise, like he wasn’t expecting you to say yes.
“Oh. Oh! Great! Okay, I’ll—I’ll talk to Rossi about it tomorrow.”
He remains highly chipper as he hands his card over to the cashier for your new overpriced bamboo sheets.
The promise of getting Spencer to yourself for four consecutive days and nights is the only way you’re able to fall asleep to a cold bed that night.
It’s harder, at home now—you’re self-conscious of every and any noise. Music, cooking, talking on the phone.
It doesn’t make sense, because you know you can’t hear your neighbors, so they shouldn’t be able to hear you, and Jerry’s a creep, who might’ve made the whole thing up just to get under your skin—but it’s all you can think about, when you’re there.
Monday evening, Spencer comes to visit, as promised. You undo all the locks and open the door just enough for him to slip through.
He kisses you hello as you close the door and sets his things down at the table while you relock.
“No Jerry today?”
“Nope. I haven’t seen him since Friday.”
“Good,” Spencer says only once you turn, a distinct chill to his tone and a mostly unfamiliar frigidity to his eyes. It’s not directed at you, but it’s unnerving nonetheless, so you draw closer and wrap your arms around his waist—hoping to melt him back into your Spencer.
He reciprocates, speaks softer now that he has you in his arms, and immediately you feel better.
“Rossi said yes to us staying at the cabin and Emily said I can take the time off. Did you still wanna go?”
You’re pre-occupied with your face buried in his shirt, so you just nod, basking in the scent of his shower products once more. They’ve gone from simply comforting to intoxicating.
“Is everything okay?” He asks quietly, brushing your hair over your shoulder. His fingers barely glance off your neck and you almost shiver. Want begins to pool deep and warm in your stomach as you lift your head and he looks down at you, so fondly.
Want which you can’t afford to feel if you’re not willing to act on it.
“I’m fine,” you breathe. Fuck. He’s too close. He’s too hot. You pull away and move to the kitchen. “Um, dinner. What do you want? We could make something. Or order something. I don’t have much, honestly.”
“I’ll be happy with anything. You sure you’re alright?”
“I don’t want to have sex!”
The words simply explode out of you, like a bat out of hell as you whip around. Just barely you manage not to clap a hand over your mouth in mortification.
You stand, back to the fridge, watching Spencer nervously for his reaction.
His brow knits. His lips part and close again several times.
You’re wondering what the fastest and most convenient method of not being alive anymore would be when he finally answers.
“… Okay. I wasn’t trying to initiate anything, did I—did I make you uncomfortable?”
“No! No, I’m sorry. I just… I wanted you to know that while I’m still, like, figuring things out—like, with my neighbor and everything—it’s just a lot, so… so I know this past weekend we agreed to not do anything and I think it would be best to… keep not doing anything. Just for now. I shouldn’t have said it like that—I didn’t actually… mean to say it. I was gonna, um, find a way to bring it up more delicately.”
You clear your throat and look down to study the patterned tile, cheeks burning.
By way of several nervous glances up at him and back down, you watch Spencer silently come to lean against the counter across from you, arms crossed over his chest.
“Okay. Thank you for telling me. We’re not ever going to do anything you don’t want to do. But, out of curiosity… is this just because of your neighbor? Or because you maybe don’t feel ready yet?”
He’s asking gently, because he wants to know, and you know there’s no wrong answer. It’s still nerve-racking.
“Um… like, a combination of the two, I guess. Mostly… the neighbor. I think. But I’m telling you this because…” and here comes the worst part. “I need you… to… hold me accountable.”
“For what?” He asks plainly, but you know what he sounds like when perfectly suppressing a smile. The surface of the sun has nothing on the temperature of your face as you close your eyes and forge ahead in the name of open and honest communication—something the two of you are trying to work on.
“If I… come on to you… you have to turn me down.”
This is not getting any less embarrassing.
“Should I anticipate you coming onto me?”
“Probably,” you sigh, looking at him through your lashes and bringing your hands to your cheeks, hoping maybe they’ll cool you down and poor circulation will work in your favor for once. “I know myself. You know me. I like… asking you for things. But for the rest of the week, if I do… you know, want something from you—you have to tell me no.”
Spencer nods slowly. “What if you genuinely change your mind?”
“I won’t. I might think I have, I might even tell you I have, but don’t believe me, okay? I don’t think straight when I’m turned on, and if we do anything, I’ll like it until fucking Jerry is pounding my door down the next day, and I just can’t deal with that.”
Spencer’s face goes completely void of expression to the point that if it weren’t for context clues you’d have no idea he’s probably imagining pistol-whipping the guy.
“Has he knocked on your door?”
Testosterone.
“No. Back to my point. I’m trusting you to keep me in check so I don’t do anything I’ll… I’ll end up regretting. Not that I regret the other night!” You scramble just as Spencer’s brow begins to furrow. “I don’t. I just regret that my gross neighbor had to get involved. And I don’t want that to happen again. So… is that… is that okay? Will you do that for me?”
“Of course I will,” Spencer says gently, without hesitation as he pushes off the counter. “Can I ask a follow-up question?”
You nod and regard the space between you, unsure if you want to eliminate it or keep using it like a buffer. By not coming to you, he’s giving you the choice.
“You said this was mostly because of your neighbor. But you didn’t sound sure. It’s fine if you aren’t feeling ready yet. I just want to make sure I know what’s going on with you.”
“I don’t really know,” you admit, after a brief pause. “I feel like… as long as I know he’s on the other side of the wall I wouldn’t even be able to wrap my head around how I actually feel. It’s also confusing because, like I was saying, I… just because I feel like I want something in the moment, doesn’t necessarily mean I’m actually ready for it, you know? I don’t even know if… I don’t even know what being ready again really means or would look like.”
“You did the other night.”
“Yeah, but that was different. Because now I’m gonna think I know what I’m getting myself into, but that’s not necessarily true.”
Another pause in which you chew your lip and look away.
“I don’t want you to overthink it, honey. I think being ready just means you’re comfortable, and you’re with someone who’s going to keep you safe, and nobody’s pressuring you, and you’re not, you know—pressuring yourself. Wanting it is actually really important, too. But what I’m hearing right now is that even if you might want it, you’re not in a place that feels safe. And that makes sense to me. So we’re just not gonna do anything until that changes, okay?”
Eyes still cast downward, your lips twist into a sardonic little smile.
“I feel like I’m talking to my therapist.”
He laughs with a single breath.
“I really hope your therapist doesn’t speak to you like I do. The ethics there would be highly questionable.”
The joke refreshes your courage and you look back up at him, smile still edged with humor but mostly unspoken gratitude.
The half-smile on Spencer’s face, however, is fading steadily as he studies you in flickering passes. Like there’s something still on his mind. You were hoping for a subtle invitation back into his arms, but the space between you remains—infused now with a tension as it becomes increasingly obvious.
“Also… this trip we’re going on. I feel like I should say this—I don’t know if it was even on your mind, but… I don’t want you to feel pressured to have sex just because of the timing. Me inviting you on a last-minute trip to an isolated cabin—it’s not a master plan to get you to sleep with me again, I promise. I really just wanted us to be alone. Not—not that kind of alone—I mean, we’ll be alone, but it doesn’t have to be like that. I was just thinking about how nice it was for us to get those three nights together, you know, and the whole weekend too, and with my job, that’s not always going to happen, so it just seemed like a good opportunity—”
“Spencer,” you laugh, letting the tension snap like a rubber band as you go to him, slinging your arms over his shoulders, delighted to be the one doing the interrupting and not the flustered rambling, for a change. “I know you don’t have an ulterior motive. As for what kind of alone we’re going to be… we’ll figure that out, okay? Don’t worry about me. I don’t feel pressured by you. I never have. If anything, I’m the one who pressures you for sex.”
You’ve got him smiling once more, as his hands find your waist and his gaze flips from your mouth to your eyes and back again. It goes very subtly mischievous in a way you don’t quite trust, but he’s dipping his head to kiss you, and something tells you it’s going to be a good one, so when your nose bumps against his, and you can feel his breath on your lips, you’re not at all prepared for him to speak.
“Begging is not the same as pressuring, sweet thing,” he murmurs, and then he’s kissing you so thoroughly you don’t even have time to be properly affronted. The offended gasp gets stuck in your throat, and melts into a tiny huff as it turns out the kiss is a very good one. You can’t think hard enough to be offended. Not even when he chuckles against you.
“That’s not fair,” you mumble when he allows you a second to breathe. He hums, satisfying himself with kisses to your cheek and playing along.
“What’s not fair?”
“You… I was supposed to have the upper hand in that situation! You were the nervous one for once!”
Another hum, buzzing against your lips this time.
“You have to learn how to take the upper hand, angel. I’ve had a lot of practice. It’s a big part of my job.”
Admittedly it’s hard to think when he talks like this, but you try.
“So… you manipulate me? That’s not very romantic.”
He laughs quietly again.
“No. I do not manipulate you.”
“You’re just a control freak,” you tease.
“Yeah,” he agrees, immediately, still soft-spoken as he pulls back to carefully search your eyes. “Does that bother you?”
You search hands and knees for a crumb of outrage, for a hint of any of that strong feminist theory you’ve instilled into your brain over so many years.
There’s nothing to be found.
“No,” you admit, dejectedly, hanging your head as much as he’ll allow. “Should it?”
“Only if you don’t like it. When I take the upper hand like that, I’m really just… posing a yes or no question. So far, you lean towards saying yes. You let me win. But you don’t have to.”
“What happens if I… if I don’t let you win?”
He angles his head, coaxing you to look in his eyes once more. A hand comes up to swipe a dot of mascara from under your brow. He’s looking at you so serenely, like none of this is at all complicated.
“Whatever you want. I wouldn’t be the one making the rules anymore.”
Oh.
Oh.
You laugh nervously.
“That’s a lot of pressure. What if… I want you to keep making the rules? For forever?”
He kisses you again, insistently enough you have to tilt your head back. When he answers, it’s low, a promise, and pressed right against your waiting mouth.
“Then I will.”
You loose a tremulous breath from your parted lips and you know he can feel it. He can feel how you’re clinging to his shirt, pressing yourself closer, how your skin has warmed and your breaths have hastened, he can probably taste how much you want him, how you’re already thinking about giving it all up for him—
And maybe that’s why he laughs dryly into your mouth before pulling away.
Because he’s a good boyfriend.
Spencer knits his brow and clears his throat as his hand slides down your arm, eyes narrowed like he’s wondering how things escalated so quickly. You certainly are.
Suddenly he’s back to the nerd you met in a coffee shop all those months ago, and you like him like this, too. “So… dinner?”
“Mhm. Yeah. We should… we should definitely eat. What do you wanna eat?”
You don’t miss the quick once over he gives you. Or the way his throat bobs once he tears his eyes away.
“Um… how does Indian sound?”
You swear you don’t know how it happened.
Everything was going fine—there was food on the coffee table, a show on the TV. Spencer made tea. It was wholesome.
And then, somewhere between setting the plastic takeout bag down and actually opening it, you ended up like this. Kneeling next to him on the couch, one hand braced on his thigh, the other tangled in his hair as you kiss slow. Like this could actually be leading somewhere.
“We should stop,” he reminds you, even as his hand traverses up your leg. You lean further into him—he has to tip his head back to meet your lips.
“We’re kissing. It’s nothing.”
“You were—” kiss. “Just telling me—” kiss. “That you don’t want this right now.”
Deep kiss. The grip he has on your hip does not agree with his words.
“This is just kissing. Kissing isn’t sex.”
Even as you’re saying it, you’re throwing your leg over his lap, landing in a straddle.
“No,” he groans as if pained, throwing his head onto the back of the couch and depriving you of his mouth. “Baby. You have to get off. We can’t do this.”
“My bathroom—we could—it doesn’t share a wall with his apartment, we could go in there and turn on the shower and we could be really quiet—”
Suddenly there’s a hand over your mouth. It’s not yours.
“Please stop before I say yes.”
You pull his hand away, fingers wrapped around his wrist.
“You should. You should say yes. It’s a good idea, I know he wouldn’t be able to hear us over the shower—”
“It’s not about that. It’s about the fact that you asked me to turn you down not even an hour ago, no matter what you say, and I said I would.” He takes a shuddering deep breath. “And… I’m going to. I’m saying no.”
“No,” you whine, head falling to his shoulder, because you know he’ll keep his promise. He cups the back of your head—a kind, sympathetic gesture, which does nothing to alleviate the heat of your blood or the ache between your legs. You pout into his neck. “This is terrible. I might not survive.”
“I think you will.”
“Maybe if I enter a coma.”
He laughs and strokes your thigh.
“There are worse things than sexual frustration.”
“Not right now. This is the worst thing I can imagine.”
“I’m so sorry. You poor thing.”
You pull back to face him, hands on his shoulders.
“Oh my god. Don’t act like it’s not bothering you.”
“I’m not bothered.”
“I know that’s not true. You know how I can tell?”
The slightest adjustment of your hips draws attention to exactly what you mean. Spencer goes completely deadpan.
“Stop,” he orders in monotone, and you laugh even you allow yourself to be tossed back onto the couch because you’ve successfully flustered him again. He puts a throw pillow over his lap and leans forward, hiding his blush beneath perfect hands with a tortured groan. “You’re terrible.”
The couch attempts to suck you in as you wriggle back from a lying position, propping yourself up on your elbows and grinning at him.
“I did it,” you gloat.
He angles his head toward you, revealing half a pretty face, still dusted red but now with all the markings of inquisition.
“You did what?”
“I took the upper hand.”
Those dark eyes narrow and before you can think to retract your legs he’s wrapping his hands around your ankles, pulling them over his pillow and leaving you flat on your back once more. Again you giggle.
“You took nothing,” he asserts, but you’re not bothered—still smiling as you accept your new position and toss your arms above your head casually.
“Somebody’s a sore loser.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Eat your curry.”
“Sorry, I’m full. From, you know, the taste of victory.”
He exhales a dry chuckle, leaning forward to finally retrieve the containers of food.
“I can’t believe I ever let you call me a nerd.”
The rest of the evening remains PG. Conversation flows and trickles comfortably over dinner on the couch, and afterwards, he suggests a documentary. From the outside, it might not look like much—but to you, with your head on his chest as the TV casts its flickering, ghostly light over the room, with the beating of his heart against your ear and his breath against the top of your head, it’s everything. Six months ago you didn’t know what it was to exist so comfortably around another person like this. Now, though he feels familiar and safe, you don’t take it for granted. The novelty of something so simple is not lost on you, and you feel like the luckiest girl in the world as your eyes begin to flutter. You’re lucky to have someone you feel completely safe with.
Spencer murmurs your name like a question. It buzzes against your ear. You hum in response.
His thumb fans lines over your shoulder blade. “Can I ask you about something?”
“Mhm.”
“The other night… we didn’t really get a chance to—to debrief, afterwards. Which is fine, you were tired, it was late. But then the next morning I had to go, and everything with your neighbor happened, and we talked about that a little bit, but… but earlier, it sounded like maybe you… I don’t know. Maybe you weren’t feeling good about how it happened?”
“Spencer, I told you I don’t regret it,” you remind him, pushing up from his chest to look him in the eye. His hand slides down your back.
“I know… I just wanted to give you another chance to talk about it. In case anything was on your mind.” He frets over your hair, an invisible speck on your skin. Like he’s nervous. “And I want to make sure you’re feeling okay about how it went. I know what happened the next day was an unfortunate addendum, and I’m sorry about that. As soon as you give me permission, I will have him arrested. But I don’t want that to overshadow your experience.”
“It’s… not,” you breathe, fiddling with a button on Spencer’s shirt.
“So how did you feel about it? Barring anything external?”
“Good.”
Spencer strokes your jaw with a knuckle, gently admonishing.
“Don’t just say that. Think about it.”
“I have,” you assure him immediately, cheeks warming as you realize just how swiftly you’d replied.
What a lovely button. Mother-of-pearl. The shirt is a pale lilac. It looks good on him. One of your favorites, actually.
Spencer lets you pick at it. He would probably let you pull the button off, tear every stitch on the shirt with a seam-ripper if it helped to soothe your nerves.
“I’m not trying to embarrass you, or make you uncomfortable. We don’t have to go into explicit detail. I know it still feels weird to talk about. But it’s something we do have to talk about.”
“I know. And I would bring it up if something didn’t feel right. But it… was…” you chew your lip as you think of a way to phrase it that doesn’t sound too mushy-gushy. “Overwhelmingly… a very positive experience.”
“You sound like Yelp review,” Spencer says through a smile. You attempt to smother the continual heat of your embarrassment against his shirt. He’s seen you at your most vulnerable, more intimately than anyone ever has before. And you’re still shy about acknowledging that fact.
“Shut up. Say something nice back.”
With a typically gentle hand, he pushes hair away from your ear.
“I…” he begins meaningfully, taking a moment to sweep your hair over your back. “Feel incredibly grateful that you trusted me to take care of you. I know that’s big for you, and I know it can be a really scary thing. Mostly I’m happy you’re happy. And that I didn’t mess up irredeemably.”
“What would you have messed up?” You laugh, retreating from your shelter against his chest to knit your brow.
He makes a face in the half-dark like he shouldn’t have said it.
“Uh… that… veers into explicit detail… and possibly too much honesty.”
You laugh again and adjust to frame his sheepish smile between your hands.
“I see. You have to keep your mystique in tact.”
“I really don’t think it’s that much of a mystery.”
“Well, I’ll spare your ego.”
“Wow, thanks. For the first time in your life.”
You go in for a chaste, smiley kiss, which stays sweet and kind even as it melts into something stickier.
It comes to a turning point and Spencer inhales deeply, gently angling his head away and shifting to check his watch. You collapse on his chest, catching your breath.
“I should go.”
“No. I feel like you’re going away to war.”
“I’m going to Court House. Where I live.”
“What if I never see you again?”
“It’s twenty minutes away. So you could always just drive.”
You frown.
“I hope you get trench foot.”
“You know seventy seven thousand soldiers died from trench foot in World War Two?”
“Obviously I did not know that.”
“Well, next time you should just say you want me to die. Up.”
He pats the back of your thigh and you push off of him, only after considering trying to hold him hostage for a split second.
You hover by the couch like a ghost, watching with increasing anxiety as he gathers together the empty containers from your meal and throws them in the kitchen garbage before collecting his things.
There is one thing—one potentially difficult thing you haven’t mentioned to him that seems to be a direct consequence of finally sleeping together.
You’re clingy.
Clingier than you’ve ever been. It didn’t seem possible to want to be around him more than you already had, but now when he’s gone you feel his absence like a vacuous hole by your side. Without his warmth, you’re always a little colder. A little less comfortable.
It’s embarrassing to admit that you’re starting to get separation anxiety, so you won’t put it into so many words—but you think, as he turns, slinging his bag over his shoulder with a knowing look, that he understands.
At the same time, you begin to close the space, meeting gently in the middle, toe to toe. You keep your hands behind your back, afraid that otherwise you’ll try and glom onto him like a barnacle on a ship’s hull.
“There are some things I’d like to get done this week so I don’t have to worry about them during our trip. So I might not see you for a day or two.”
Dutifully you nod, though you’re slightly crushed.
“That’s okay. We’re grownups.”
“I don’t know,” he tuts. “I’m worried I’m gonna start writing my name with your last on all my notebooks.”
That stupid, stupid charm.
“Mm… I’m kinda out of your league,” you grin.
Spencer’s smile wanes slowly, but his eyes remain soft and aglow as they explore your face as reverently as his hands would. When he speaks, it’s in an honest, borderline whisper. “I’m acutely aware.”
Slowly his head dips, and your eyes flutter shut. A sweet, lingering kiss lands on your cheek. Then he’s pulling back.
“That’s it?” You can’t help but ask, peering up at him and barely concealing a frown.
He smiles that lovely smile, but by this point you’re attuned enough to his facial expressions to recognize the subtle heat playing just beneath the surface of those golden-oak eyes.
“What? Did I give you the impression that I put out?”
“It’s just a kiss.”
That teasing edge becomes ever so slightly sharper as he regards you, head tilting.
“Mhm. And the last time you said that—was it before or after you mounted me?”
You shoo him away pretty quickly after that—partly for discipline, and partly because the sooner he’s gone, the sooner you’ll go to sleep, and the sooner it will be tomorrow.
And this trip can’t come soon enough, because you’re pretty sure you know exactly what kind of alone you’d like to be with Spencer Reid.

Batboys when their unaffectionate best friend texts them “I love you” out of no where.
Tw: suicide mentions but not done. Reader is gender neutral.

Dick
As soon as he got that text, he either felt happy you started to be affectionate or he felt worried as you never really texted him that. He goes to text you “are you okay?”
And if you don’t answer he’s leaving work and going to your house. His anxiety is eating his stomach alive when he reached your house, he opens them with the spare keys you gave him.
You were just watching tv when you turned at him confused. “Dick?” Immediately dick hugs you, tightly. Now you’re concerned . “Dick?” You said again, worried. “I was worried…thought something happened to you.” He stays at your home until he gets called back to work.
Jason
Just try and do the same shit to him like dick. Don’t answer him? This man’s pulling up to your house immediately when you said “I love you.” Scared that maybe someone who knows him and wants to hurt Jason is after you.
He knows you, more than you know yourself. Literally he’s already at your window banging on it, cursing himself when you don’t open it he goes and bust the window open wide. He can pay for it, don’t worry.
As he stalks around the house holding his gun, he sees you standing in the kitchen holding a knife. This big ass fridge of a man just grabs the knife out of your hand. You scream shocked before seeing it was just Jason.
“What..were you doing?…” he asked firmly. You scoff and grabbed the knife, well tried to as you explained yourself. “I was gonna cut onions before you came in Jay..” you said pointing to the onions Jason had clearly hadn’t seen due to adrenaline.
“Oh. Well love ya too, ima go now. I’ll see you in the morning.” Jason says leaving, that was before he turned around. “Oh yeah and Uhm…your window is broken.” Jason leaves quickly as you gasp and go check your bedroom window. “JASONNNN!!” You yelled in anger.
Tim
It’s late at night, he on his computer doing a report when all he sees on his phone is an “I love you” text from the most unexpected friend ever, you. Immediately Tim is getting up, calling you as he gets dressed to go to your house.
He’s scared, “pick up, pick up, pick up.” You don’t answer. “Fuck!” Tim hangs up and calls again. He knows you had some thoughts of suicidal tendencies, but he’s been by you in your darkest days. So when you just text him that, he doesn’t realize he’s crying when he finally reaches your house.
He’s using a spare key he secretly copied off of your own home key, don’t ask. It’s for procedures like this if you are in danger.
Anyways he immediately screaming your name, if you don’t answer immediately as he screams your name. He’s gonna run up to your room.
But if you immediately yell back his name, he’s running towards your voice. You were in your room relaxing when you see a tired and scared Tim rush at you into a hug. Crying softly as he holds you tight.
“You’re okay right? Why didn’t you answer my calls?!” He says immediately. “My phone died when I texted you…” Tim immediately stopped crying just to give you a “wtf” face. “….are you serious.” Tim had forgotten that you had a terrible habit of having your phone dead at times.
“Yeah.” “..just for this night scare. I’m sleeping here.” Tim says, his body soon gave out easily. Making his heavy body fall on your smaller frame. “Tim! Tim! Get up dude..I’m sorry!? Damnnit!!!”
Damian
The moment that text got sent, it takes him 6 minutes to get to your house. Quietly like the damn ex assassin he is.
His expression and face are hardened holding a katana, bro’s lip in sunken in as he looks around your house. “I don’t know what games you are playing. But it’s not funny L/N.” He says as he then sits on your bed. Katana flat on his lap staring at you intensely. “What, I can’t say I love you to my best friend.” Damian’s glare hardened. “You can, I was just surprised when you texted me those 'words'. Seemed unlikely of you to say that so I had to come to make sure you were secured.”
You deadpanned at the tanned boy in-front of you. “Okay fine, I just wanted to say it incase you felt like you didn’—” “I know you love me, and I …love you too. Now that I know you are okay, I must go.” He says quickly. Looking away to hide his slight flustered face, he lifts up your window sill and jumps out the window. You walk over to see the boy is immediately gone.

In Heat

Here we go! So I ended up going with the winner of the poll...mostly because where I live also went through a heat wave, so yeah. Anyway, here we are with some hot and heavy stepcest action...literally and figuratively
Length 2.8K
Eunbi X Mreader
Life was very hard right now, despite everything you and your family tried. The heat wave running through the area was unbearable in its own right. What made it worse was having to watch your stepmother walking around the house in her bikinis, day after day, she would be around in them. Her heavy bust had nearly spilled out more than a handful of times as she moved around the house. You could hardly look at her; you would get hard in seconds, staring at her perfectly shaped body. You didn’t say anything, though; it wasn’t your place, either, considering this was her home, too. Still it was a problem you couldn’t so much as leave your room without catching a glimpse of her bending over to pic something up, showing that perfect ass of hers off.
You had dreams about her, about your father’s wife. You wanted Eunbi. She was absolutely beautiful, and those bikinis she wore left little to the imagination.
You peeked out of your room, and with no Eunbi insight, you went to the kitchen, hoping to get something cold to drink. As you searched through the fridge, you heard her. “Honey? Can you get me something to drink, too?” Honey, that’s what Eunbi called you. It was weird enough to hear her call you, considering she was only a little bit older than you. Add in the fact that she was also your stepmother, and it was weirder. That being said, knowing that she had called out to you, you grab a bottle of water for her and head toward the living room.
Walking in, you see her in another bikini. Eunbi was lying on the floor, sweat running down her face and legs, just as slick from the sweating she was doing. You paused, taking in the sight before you, Eunbi had her legs spread, you could just see the blue of her bikini bottoms poking out from under the white skirt she had on. Her breasts were bulging out of the top of her bikini top. You were getting hard quickly, and it would be tough if she spotted that. You shake your head and walk over to her, placing the bottle beside her before turning on your heel, ready to walk out. “Honey,” you pause, hoping she didn’t see your bulge. “Do you think your father is going to come home soon?”
You breathe a sigh of relief, “I don’t know Eunbi. He always goes on these sorts of trips. Sometimes he comes back in a day or two, and other times it’s like a month.” You say honestly.
“Right,” Eunbi responds, dejected. “I knew he would be gone for work a lot, but I didn’t think it would be this lonely. Do you want to play a game? I could use the company.” There was a hint of hopelessness in her voice, and as much as you didn’t want to be in the same room with her for fear of her seeing your bulge. You also felt bad for her. You saw the relationship they had firsthand, you heard about how your father would stop his trips and finally settle down again, but since the wedding, he’s been gone more than ever. You understood how Eunbi must feel, being told one thing but then getting the opposite.
“Sure, what kind of game did you have in mind?” You turn around, sitting as quickly as possible, trying to avoid staring at Eunbi’s heavy chest. You focus on her face, seeing a slight smile form as you accept the invitation.
Eunbi purses her lips as she considers what game to play. She rolls onto her stomach, crawling over to the TV stand, searching through the drawers. You can’t help but stare at her ass, it shakes from side to side as she looks. It was shapely, and your imagination runs wild. You imagine what it must be like to take her from behind, feeling what must be the soft piece of flesh pressing against you as you drive yourself deep into her.
Eunbi kneels, finding a game she thinks would be good for the two of you. She turns herself around and places the box in front of you, Jenga. “This should be a little fun.” She says, a slight smile on her lips. She lifts the box and begins setting up the game, block by block. “It’s been so hot, hasn’t it?” She says, her eyes glued to the growing structure.
“Yeah, it’s been pretty hot.”
“I’ve had to wear my bikinis in the house. It’s insane we don’t have air conditioning; these fans aren’t helping either. Eunbi sticks her tongue out, focusing intently on the tower, making sure no piece sticks out. Sweat moves down her neck, running between her heavy mounds. Your thoughts go wild again as you imagine lapping up the sweat between her tits, the moans she would make a response fill your ears for a moment. Your cock twitches as you think about it. You shake your head and push the idea out.
Eunbi finishes setting up the game and looks up at you, noticing where your eyes were. A slight blush moves across her face. “The game's ready. Do you want to go first?”
“Uh, no, you should go first. You set it up.”
“Okay,” Eunbi looks at the tower and nudges a piece from the very bottom, pushing it out slowly until she’s able to reach around and pull it out. The shake shakes slightly, but there isn’t a threat of it falling yet. Switching to your turn, Eunbi eyes you while you focus on the game. She scans you up and down, noticing the bulge in your shorts. More than shock, there was intrigue. Whether it was because of the heat messing with her mind or loneliness, Eunbi felt a pang in her chest. She squeezed her legs together and stared at the outline in your shorts. “Bigger,” she thought to herself, biting her lip.
“There we go,” you call out, grabbing the piece you pulled out.
Eunbi shifts her focus onto the game. She leans forward, giving you a look into the valley between her mounds. She only realizes what she is doing as she glances at you, noting how much you are staring at her chest. She pulls another block out, placing it back on the top of the tower.
It was back to you. The game continued with both of you staring at the other when it wasn’t your turn. The desire each of you held for the other was growing. Eunbi, at one point, had removed her skirt, saying it was getting uncomfortable. It was difficult to concentrate with Eunbi in her bikini before, but now that you had an unblocked view of her shapely legs, it was another beast entirely. Eunbi noticed your cock twitch as you stared at her body. Seeing the reaction pleased her. She was craving more, her mind began to imagine how big you were, and it was getting her wet. Still, you both played on piece by piece, and the tower became more unstable.
The tower was becoming unstable, threatening to fall over at any moment. “How about we make this a little more fun?” Eunbi asks, a teasing smile on her face.
You wonder what she means, “More fun?”
“Yeah, interesting might be a better word. How about the loser takes off a piece of their clothing?” She says boldly, almost confident that she would win.
“I- that’s kind of…”
“Are you afraid you might lose to your mommy?” Eunbi teases, sticking her tongue out at you.
“Okay, you’re on.” You reply, your competitive spirit stirring in response. You watch the tower intently. It was a mess of missing pieces, the middle pieces almost completely gone. You spot your target, though, one section already had one of the edge pieces taken, you would take the other, leaving a single middle piece to hold up the tower. You make slight taps to the piece, nudging it out of place before tugging it out and carefully placing it back on top.
It was Eunbi’s turn. She glanced at you before turning her eyes to the tower. “You know I haven’t lost a game in a long time.” Eunbi wasn’t after a win, at least not in this game. She picked her spot, going for something risky. She licked her lips, waiting for what came next. Looking at the level where you just took a piece, Eunbi was going to “attempt” to flick the last piece out, getting rid of one level entirely. The confident look on her face had you convinced she’d be able to do it. Eunbi’s smirk faded as she smacked her hand against the block. The tower fell down one level, shaking before it collapsed. It was all going to plan. She sighed at the loss and placed her hands on her bikini top. “I guess I lost.” Without any sort of hesitancy she tugged at the bottom of her bikini top, her tits bouncing in their confines before she finally brought it over her mounds and released them. You were stunned, unable to look away from her perfect breasts as they bounced in front of you, a slick and glistening mess from all her sweat. Your cock was harder than ever. “A deal is a deal.” She said, twirling the bikini top around her finger. “Are you proud of looking at your mommy’s tits? Hmm?”
You couldn’t speak or do anything—the sight before you completely envelops you. Eunbi chuckles and bounces, so her tits shake and jiggle for you. “Well? What do you think? Want to touch them?” Eunbi said, pressing the issue. She crawls toward you and takes your hand, bringing it close to her chest. “Do you?” She pauses, her thumb running across your palm. “Do you want to touch mommy’s tits? Because there’s something I want too.” Eunbi places her hand on your crotch, moving her hand along your clothed bulge. You gulp, never expecting to be in this situation. You don’t even notice your hand moving forward, until you feel her soft tits rubing against your palm. Eunbi bites her lip, containing her moan before smiling. She reaches into your shorts, her bare hand wrapping around your shaft.
“E-eunbi,” you groan.
“Shh, Honey, I need you.” Eunbi leans in, pressing her lips against yours. “I know it’s wrong, but it's been so long and seeing you so hard…” You will weaken, and you return the kiss, your hand squeezing Eunbi’s breast as she pushes you onto your back. Your hand slide down her sides, sliding underneath her bikini bottom as you grab her ass, fingers digging into her soft flesh. Eunbi moans into the kiss, allowing your tongue to explore her mouth.
Nothing can stop either of you. Eunbi wanted you with her entire being. Her hand moved along your shaft quickly. She pulls your shorts down with her other hand, springing your cock free. She glances down, eyes widening for a second as she sees your size. The shock is replaced by satisfaction; you are bigger than your father, just as she had thought. Her hand squeezeds your cock, making your grunt and drawing a bit of precum out of you.
You release your grip on Eunbi’s cheeks and move out, grabbing the sides of her bikini bottom and pulling them down. Eunbi kicks them off on you get them to her knees and sits on your pelvis, your cock rubbing against her slick folds. “I can’t wait any longer, Honey,” Eunbi moans. She rises and aligns herself with your cock sinking onto it in an instant. It’s a shock to your system just as it is for Eunbi’s. You both throw your heads back, whether it was finally getting the release you both wanted, the taboo of fucking your family, or something else you both came at that moment. Eunbi’s body tingled as she felt your cum shoot inside her. She had forgotten what it felt like, and she wanted more.
Eunbi grinded against you at first, rocking back and forth causing your cock to rub against her walls but her body wanted more. She placed her hands on your chest and squatted over your, slowly rising before slamming herself back down onto your cock. “Keep going, Eunbi,” you groan, holding onto her waist and guiding her along your shaft as you thrust into her. You watch her tits bounce as she gets into a rhythm, sweat running down her body. You lean up, sticking your tongue out and running it between her heavy tits, lapping up her salty sweat before moving over to one of her nipples.
“Oh, wait baby,” Eunbi moans as she feels your mouth surround her sensitive nipple, your tongue swirling around the hard nub as you suck on her tit. Eunbi cries out from the pleasure, her moans getting louder as you switch to the other breast.
She continues to ride you, her body growing weaker as you both move closer to another orgasm. “Eunbi,” you grunt. That was enough to tell her you were getting close, even if you hadn’s said a word she would’ve figured it out sooner or later, your cock was throbbing inside her again. Eunbi had to give up her squat position and ride you normally, giving you the position to grab her waist and thrust into her for the final few moments before you both were taken to heaven, rocked by intense orgasms. Eunbi collapses on top of you, breathing heavily. You tilt her head and kiss her. Your sweaty bodies felt like they were melding together.
“That was amazing,” she says breathlessly.
“I can keep going, at least once more.” Eunbi nods and gets ready to ride again. “No, I want you from behind.” You lift the young woman, moving her beside you. Eunbi lies flat on the floor, her strength gone from the previous two orgasms. Just as well you had always imagined fucking Eunbi into the ground. You run your hands along her body, stopping at her ass and giving each cheek a squeeze. “You have no idea how much I’ve thought of this, Eunbi,” you whisper into her before aligning with her cunt. You push yourself back into the welcoming hole, stretching out your stepmothers pussy, pushing your cum out of her as you go deeper.
“Deeper, baby. Make me cum again.” Eunbi feels your body weight against her as you push deeper. Her eyes twitch in their half-lidded state. Fully buried inside your stepmom you pull out and slam yourself back in, your pelvis pressing against her soft ass. The experience was better than you had imagined. You lost yourself nearly instantly, beginning to thrust into Eunbi like a wild beast. “Fuck! Fuck me! Fuck your dirty mommy!” Eunbi screamed. You snaked your hands under her waist, lifting her ass up and giving yourself a better angle. You slam into her ass with every thrust, both of your minds melting into nothing as claim Eunbi. You hold Eunbi up with one hand, using the other to her clit, pressing it and making her get closer to cumming. Eunbi roars as the pleasure floods her body, she backs her ass into you, wanting you deeper as your cum spills out of her onto the floor. “Oh fuck!”
Eunbi curls her toes as she’s rocked by another orgasm, her entire body shakes before collapsing onto the floor with you on top of her, your cock buried inside her tight cunt, filling her with another load of your semen. You rest on top of Eunbi for a moment before rolling off of her. Your cum pours out of her staining the hardwood. Neither of you cares, though; the experience was like nothing else. Your bodies desire more, and if it weren’t for the exhaustion, the two of you would’ve continued to go at it like rabbits.
You don’t know how much time passes before your strength returns and you're finally able to get up. Eunbi was in the same position. As you both get to your feet, you look at each other, wanting nothing more than to have sex again. Your body is tingling with excitement. Eunbi reaches out and grabs your cock, her hands rubbing the creamy mess. “I want you to ruin me every day. We can’t tell your father about this, but just know that I am all yours.” You tilt her head back and kiss her. Eunbi raises her leg to your side, and pushes your cock back inside her warm cunt.
You spend every moment you can with Eunbi from morning to night, the two of you revel in each other’s bodies, having sex all over the house, marking each space as somewhere you’ve done it. Even when your father comes back, you find a way to sneak in a few rounds, but the time apart fuels your need for each other, and the moment he leaves for another trip, you claim his wife.

Less Talk | Part X
Jake Seresin x F!Reader
A/N: We're finally here! For a minute there, I didn't think this day would come XD I hope you've enjoyed reading this series as much as I've enjoyed writing it. Thank you so much for all the love and support, I honestly probably would not have otherwise finished it!
Summary: Jake can't stand Bradley's best friend. What's more, he's probably in love with her, which really pisses him off.
CW: Swearing, angst, fluff
WR: ~4900
Masterlist | Part I
Jake leaves his mug on the counter and slowly approaches the kitchen table. He watches Bradley incredulously as the news sinks in. “Where is she going?” he finally says.
“Back to her mom’s.”
Jake’s eyebrows flit up momentarily. “That’s halfway across the country.”
Bradley nods, although he looks somewhat uncomfortable under Jake’s persistent scrutiny.
“Why?”
Bradley sighs. “I got a call from her mom a couple weeks ago.”
“I remember,” Jake says, recalling the party and your unwillingness to speak with your best friend, despite his obvious distress.
“Said she was kicked out of her program,” Bradley continues.
“What?” Jake lowers himself into the seat across from Bradley. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Bradley shrugs. “I didn’t know if she was sharing. Anyway, apparently her boyfriend called her mom and delivered the news.”
Jake’s jaw muscles contract. “I could kill him, I swear.”
“She submitted a plagiarized paper, Jake.”
Jake glances up at his friend fiercely. “Bullshit,” he says immediately.
Bradley nods. “I agree.”
Jake shakes his head. “She wouldn’t. Of all people, she wouldn’t.”
“I tried talking to her about it but, as you know, she’s been avoiding me like the plague.”
“She didn’t dispute it?”
Bradley shakes his head solemnly. “She came by yesterday to tell me that the engagement is off and that she’s leaving. For good.”
Jake glances up at Bradley abruptly, as if roused from a reverie. “The engagement is off? Since when?”
“She didn’t tell you that part either?” Bradley grimaces. “What the fuck did you two even talk about?”
Jake blinks at Bradley a couple of times and then leaps out of his seat. “Let’s go,” he says urgently, grabbing his jacket off the back of a chair. “We can’t let her leave.”
Bradley stands and takes one final gulp of beer before following Jake out of the kitchen. He takes his car keys off the hook by the front door while Jake unplugs the fan and turns off the living room lights. “Shut up,” he mutters on his way out the door when Bradley gives him a knowing smirk.
Jake skips down the porch steps and marches to his truck. “Want me to drive?” Bradley calls after him, holding up the keys to his Bronco.
Jake pulls open the door to his truck. For some reason, he feels like driving might bring him a sense of comfort. “No, I’ll drive,” he says as Bradley approaches the truck. Then, as an afterthought, he adds, looking up at his friend over the cab. “Rooster.”
Bradley glances up at him, his hand over the doorhandle. “Yeah?”
Jake sighs irritably. “I’m in love with her.”
Bradley gives him a look and pulls open the passenger door. “I know,” he replies wryly and gets into the truck.
…
“Still not picking up?” Jake asks, looking over at Bradley who solemnly shakes his head. He sets his phone down over Jake’s, having tried you from both numbers.
Jake pulls up right behind the white mustang in your driveway. Bradley winces as Jake finally yanks on the handbrake about two inches from the pristine car’s sleek bumper. Before Bradley could comment on Jake’s parking job, however, the latter shoots out of the truck and jogs up to your front door.
Bradley, somewhat hesitantly, follows suit. He stops a few feet short of the porch, though, probably deciding that Jake is threatening enough all on his own.
Mustang opens the door a crack and Jake immediately steps forward, like a dog that hasn’t quite mastered the art of impulse control. “Where is she?” he growls, sticking his face between the frame and the door that’s still latched by a chain.
“Go fuck yourself,” Mustang spits out and tries to squeeze Jake out before slamming the door.
Mistake, of course. Because Jake isn’t afraid of getting his paint chipped. He pushes his weight into the door and reaches in through the opening to grab a hold of Mustang’s collar. Then he yanks on him sharply, causing Mustang’s temple to crash into the doorframe. Jake gives Mustang another tug until his wide jaw is wedged into the open space like a door jam.
Bradley clears his throat in the background uncomfortably, but keeps his hands in his pockets for the time being.
Jake holds onto Mustang’s collar tightly while the latter pants in alarm.
“Where is she?” Jake repeats, more quietly and more dangerously than before.
“She left already,” Mustang chokes out.
“Then why are you still here?” Jake hisses.
“I’m just getting my stuff.”
“Hangman,” Bradley says in an appeasing sort of tone. “We’re wasting time.”
Jake still glares at your ex with hatred, his grip tightening around Mustang’s shirt despite his eyes bulging nearly out of their sockets. “What’s her flight number?”
Mustang shakes his head with difficulty and croaks, “Fuck if I know.”
Jake gives him a rough jolt and Bradley, again, says, “Jake, we should go.”
“What time does she take off?” Jake asks. “What airline?”
Mustang’s eyes begin to water. “Fuck that bitch,” he sputters. “She got what she deserved.”
Jake, enraged beyond words, could have probably taken the whole door off its frame in his fury, if not for Bradley coming to haul him off the porch. “We have to go!” Bradley shouts while Jake, still fuming, flares out his chest.
“Come out and fight like a man!” Jake bellows, combatting Bradley’s attempts to restrain him.
“He’s not worth it,” Bradley urges, continuing to push him down the path back to the driveway.
“What’s the matter, Mustang?” Jake jeers. “Scared I’ll put a dent in that fancy mug of yours?” He jerks away from Bradley and heads straight for the white mustang in the driveway. “What’s the point” – he yells, push-kicking the door of the car – “of all that muscle –”
“Jake! Fuck!” Bradley yelps, dragging Jake back, away from the white car, less immaculate now that it’s got a depression in its frame about the size of Jake’s heel.
Jake chuckles and a moment later, Mustang appears in the driveway, gasping in horror when he sees the state of his car. “You piece of fucking –”
“Jake, go, go, go!” Bradley shouts, shoving his friend in the direction of the truck. They hop in before Mustang can orientate himself in his distress and Jake floors the pedal in reverse the moment his engine roars to life. “Ha!” Bradley exclaims, drumming enthusiastically on the dashboard as Jake pulls out of the driveway.
Jake smirks, adrenaline coursing deliciously through his body as he accelerates toward the freeway.
…
“What is this bullshit?” Jake grumbles, smacking his steering wheel in frustration.
Bradley grimaces at the string of red lights ahead of them on the ramp. “There’s another lot farther out,” he suggests.
Jake shakes his head. “I’m not turning around.”
“Okay,” Bradley responds patiently. “I’m sure this’ll be quick,” he adds, although he doesn’t sound very convinced, himself.
Jake lets out a sharp exhale, inching forward slowly. About fifteen minutes later, they finally pull up to the parking garage. Jake peeks up at the clearance bar with a grimace. “Think we’ll make it?”
Bradley glances at the marker and then at Jake. “How big are your tires?” he deadpans.
Jake looks at Bradley with a scowl. “What makes you think they’re big?”
Bradley returns Jake’s scowl twofold. “You got a roof rack on this thing?”
“Of course I’ve got a roof rack. What kind of man doesn’t have a roof rack on his car?” Jake scoffs offendedly. A horn blares from behind them and Bradley sighs, closing his eyes. Jake ignores the sound and leans forward over his steering wheel, staring up at the bar contemptuously.
“Well, we’ll have to risk it. We can’t park here,” Bradley reasons.
Jake nods but doesn’t move. Several more horns interrupt their conversation and Jake rolls down his window to yell at the car in behind, “Have some patience, asshole!”
Bradley drags a hand over his face wearily. “We really don’t have time for another conflict,” he remarks.
Jake groans grudgingly and slowly releases the brake. They both wince as the truck rolls precariously under the clearance bar and, when it makes it through unscathed, Jake howls excitedly while Bradley lets out an audible sigh of relief.
…
Finding an available spot takes about twenty minutes and about ten years off Jake’s life. Cursing, Jake clambers out of the truck and slams his door aggressively. Bradley extracts his phone from his pocket and takes a photo of their vehicle’s location.
Jake waits for him impatiently to which Bradley replies, “You’ll thank me later.”
“Yeah,” Jake agrees, but walks briskly ahead to look around in search of signs that might point the way to the terminal.
“This way,” Bradley says, pointing to the elevators at the far end of the lot.
“This place is a fucking maze,” Jake grumbles.
“What, you never been to a commercial airport before?” Bradley jokes. Jake gives him a flat look and Bradley snorts and claps Jake on the back. “Relax, man. We’ll find her.”
Jake tries not to show just how anxious he is by giving Bradley a nod and a tight smile. He blazes into the stairwell, ignoring the slowly opening elevator doors, and Bradley follows behind him, jogging up the stairs.
In the terminal, they stop to look up at the flight information board listing all the departures taking place that night.
“Two possible flights she could be on,” Bradley says.
“Two different gates,” Jake comments solemnly.
“The first one is leaving in twenty minutes. She’ll already be on the plane,” Bradley says, “if that’s her flight.”
“Maybe she’ll be on the other one,” Jake says hopefully, starting in the direction of the second gate.
Bradley hurries to catch up with him through the crowded airport.
“Where are all these people going?” Jake mutters under his breath, pushing his way past slower moving, luggage towing individuals.
Bradley eyes him with a small grin. “They have just as much a right to be here as you do, Jake.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Jake says, pushing his way through an excited group of travellers wearing parkas and winter hats. “That’s her gate up there!” He starts for it at a run despite the dense crowd around them.
Bradley follows, albeit less obnoxiously. Then, about ten feet from the gate, Jake stops short and Bradley crashes right into him. “Dude!” he exclaims, rubbing his chest.
“It’s her,” Jake breathes.
Bradley turns his head and it takes him several moments to locate you because you’re already going through security.
“Y/N!” Jake hollers, cupping his hands around his mouth.
You don’t hear him, though, because there’s a glass wall separating you from the checkpoint queue. Bradley, in an effort to help Jake get your attention, also starts calling your name. Meanwhile, Jake starts for the security checkpoint at a run, which sort of worries Bradley. “You need a boarding pass to get through –”
But Jake, completely ignoring Bradley’s warning, hops right over the stanchion behind the security officer’s back.
“Fuck,” Bradley mutters under his breath as the officer turns around in alarm and brings a walkie to his face. Other security personnel rush over in a panic and Bradley, approaching as casually as possible, says, with a wave of his hand, “It’s cool.” He leans nonchalantly on one of the glass panels near the checkpoint, adding, “He’s a pilot.”
Several of the officers look over at him like he’s nuts.
…
Jake makes it all the way to the glass doors before somebody apprehends him, and then he shouts your name again. You turn around just as that somebody throws him to the ground. Jake groans, not too pleased about having to taste this particular carpet.
“What are you doing?” he hears you screech, and he glances up with just his eyes because his face is still being pressed into the ground.
“Hey, how are ya?” he manages to say.
“What the fuck are you doing?” you repeat, more aggressively this time.
Jake winces as someone’s knee digs into his spine. “Baking a cake. What’s it look like I’m doing?” He grunts as he’s finally lifted to his feet.
You are staring at him wildly when he meets your gaze.
“Hey,” he says again, rotating his shoulders to alleviate the cramp in his back.
Behind you, security personnel have started to block off the entire area.
“Sir, we’re going to need you to come with us,” the officer still holding onto Jake says firmly.
“What? Where are you taking him?” you ask.
“You need to come with us too, ma’am,” another officer says.
“No,” Jake groans. “She didn’t do anything.”
“This is a misunderstanding,” you say. “He’s a Navy Lieutenant. Jake, tell them!”
“No, don’t tell them that.” Jake cringes. He would prefer not to be reprimanded for this incident by his superior officers.
You stare at him as the two of you are led to a holding area near the checkpoint. Meanwhile, Jake can see Bradley scrambling past passersby to keep the two of you in sight as he holds his phone to his ear.
“Didn’t know you were planning on taking a vacation,” Jake says as the officer in charge of detaining him nods for his colleague to open the door. “Going somewhere nice?”
You give him a dirty look as you are walked into the holding room.
“Please wait here until law enforcement arrives.”
You look up at the man in alarm. “Law enforcement? He’s in the military!” you shout.
“Shh,” Jake shushes you. “Don’t yell at the nice officer,” he warns you. “We can wait,” he assures the security team.
The door closes and you look over at Jake furiously. “I’m going to miss my flight!” you scream at him. “Because of you!”
Jake sets his jaw. “Good.”
You glare at him incredulously. “How are you so goddamn selfish?”
“I’m selfish?” he retorts. “I spent all morning with you. We had sex” – Jake takes note that you cringe at the word – “and yet you failed to mention that you’ve moving clear across the fucking country!”
“What do you care? You hate me, remember?” you yell back.
“Oh, I remember,” he snaps. “I also remember your diatribe on the avocado, and how much you loathe everything I stand for. I remember your outrageous appraisal of my truck, and the ridiculous way you hold a pool cue. Your annoying inability to shut the fuck up about the stupidest shit and your equally annoying refusal to tell me about the things that actually matter.”
You blink at him with a scowl and fold your arms over your chest. “This is the worst love confession I’ve ever heard,” you grumble.
Jake exhales forcefully. “I haven’t confessed anything yet.”
You suck in your cheeks and look up at the ceiling impatiently. “I’ll wait.”
Jake releases another irritated sigh. “There isn’t a single thing about you that I’ve been able to successfully forget. Despite my best efforts.”
You meet his gaze half-heartedly but say nothing.
“You just showed up one day, out of nowhere, and I’ve been messed up ever since. Do you get that?” He stares at you wildly, realizing that he’s getting something off his chest that he hadn’t even really known was weighing on him. “You walk around like you don’t owe anybody a goddamn thing. You’re out here pretending like your actions – your decisions – don’t affect people. Well, they do, alright? You affect people! You affect me.”
You lower your gaze mutely, as though you’re lost for words for the first time ever. The very idea is preposterous, however, and Jake is sure that you’re just waiting for the most opportune moment to counter. He decides not to give you the opportunity.
“What do you want out of life?” he says with an edge to his tone because he’s anxious to get to his point.
You glance back up at him curiously.
“Ask me again,” he says. “Ask me the whole thing. Disregarding the fact that we are meaningless or whatever nonsense you spewed. Ask me.”
You gulp and clear your throat. “What do you want, Jake?”
He releases a sharp sigh, deliberately maintaining eye contact. “You,” he responds firmly. “You, you, you.” He takes a step toward you, his eyes searching yours urgently because hes desperate to be honest for once. To lay it all out so you have the facts before you run. “Whatever the damn question is, okay?” He takes up your hands and holds them to his chest. “My answer is always you.”
You watch him with that same unreadable gaze, the one that Jake has spent months trying to decipher. But he knows that he’s gotten under your skin just as much as you’ve gotten under his. Because he knows you. So, he waits; allows you a moment to gauge his sincerity. As if tracking you down at a civilian airport and getting detained isn’t evidence enough. Your eyes well up suddenly and, unexpectedly, you move away from him. “I’m sorry,” you whisper. “I’m sorry for affecting you.”
Jake lets his hands fall when you withdraw. “I just want you to tell me the truth,” he says. “I want you to stop acting like nothing ever gets to you.”
You glance up at him fiercely and cry, “You get to me, okay? Is that what you want to hear? That I am also affected?” You draw in a sob and lean your back against the wall, hiding your face in your hand.
Jake, both distraught and relieved that you’re finally emoting, approaches you slowly. He puts an arm around your shoulders and brings you into his chest. All he wants is to express just how much you mean to him – just how far he’d go to make you happy – but all that comes out is, “I don’t want you to go,” which is partly muffled anyway because he says it with his mouth on your head.
You sniffle miserably against his shoulder and shift your weight to lean into him. “I can’t stay,” you respond.
Jake, whose entire body is both vibrating and paralyzed at the same time, says quietly. “Tell me why.”
“I got kicked out,” you whimper, as if this is the ‘why’ Jake is after.
“Not that,” he says, taking a step back so that he can look you in the eye. “Tell me why you got engaged. The morning after I – after we… Were you already engaged when you came to the party? When I kissed you?”
“No,” you say. “He proposed that night.”
Jake watches you patiently. “And you said yes?”
“Because he promised he’d confess.”
Jake stares at you. “Confess?”
“He submitted a plagiarized paper on my behalf. Right after we broke up.”
Jake grimaces. “What a fucking nutcase.”
“He was angry. But obviously he didn’t think I’d get kicked out for it.”
“Why didn’t he just come clean when shit hit the fan?”
“And get kicked out himself? He wouldn’t take that chance; his defense is coming up in less than six months.”
“So…you decided to marry him?”
“He told me he was sorry and promised he’d talk to the board as soon as he passed. I figured I’d just agree to the engagement and call it off once he came clean.”
“Why didn’t you tell me this? That day, when he announced the engagement. Why didn’t you just tell me?”
You sigh. “What would you have done?”
“Kicked his ass,” Jake responds without a moment’s thought.
“Exactly,” you say. “You’re about one offense from getting kicked out, yourself.”
Jake has no rebuttal to this because you’re sort of right on the money in this case. His last altercation nearly cost him his wings and he’s not at all looking forward to explaining this airport fiasco to his superiors. “When did you call off the engagement?” he asks.
“This morning,” you say. “Before I came to see you.”
Jake plants his hands on his hips. “So why are you leaving?”
“Well, he’s never going to admit what he did. So, I’m out of the program for good. Why would I stay?”
Jake stares at you. “Are you for real?”
You shrug. “He’s never going to leave me alone.”
“Oh, he’ll leave you alone,” Jake says firmly. “Or I’ll break his legs.”
You give him a reproachful look. “And get arrested? Lose your job?”
“Fine, I’ll break his car.”
You roll your eyes.
“I’m not letting you run,” he says, taking a confident step toward you.
“It’s not up to you.”
He shakes his head. “I don’t care.” He takes your face in his hands.
“Don’t be an ass,” you say, lisping slightly because your cheeks are squished between his palms.
Jake smirks. “But I’m good at it.”
“It’s my decision,” you say, trying to sound firm despite the aforementioned speech impediment.
“Yeah, yeah,” Jake continues. “What do you want for dinner?”
“Jake!”
Jake lets his forehead rest against yours. “You missed your flight anyway,” he mutters. “And I love you,” he adds, casually enough for it to perhaps blend into the conversation unnoticed.
But you notice it. You lift your face to meet his gaze. “You do?” you ask quietly.
“Don’t act all surprised.”
You smile mildly. “Surprised that you can admit it.”
“One of us had to.”
You gaze at him mutely.
And just as Jake is about to spiral in response to your lack of a response, the door opens and someone steps inside.
“C’mon,” Bradley urges, waving his arm impatiently. “I’m busting you out.”
“How –” you begin.
But Jake cuts you off, “Shh, don’t ask questions.” He leads you through the open door after Bradley as he surveys the immediate vicinity in all directions.
“You’re both pieces of work,” you mutter under your breath and Jake, who’s got an arm around your shoulders, squeezes you affectionately.
There is a large crowd just outside of the holding room, and a commotion near the gate. Clearly, Bradley had managed to create some sort of diversion. A subtle craning of his neck allows Jake to see exactly who it is that’s causing a scene.
“Keep you head down!” Bradley whispers hoarsely from behind, smacking Jake’s crown with annoyance.
Jake ducks slightly and looks over his shoulder at Bradley, “Was that Bob?”
“Yep,” Bradley responds. “Apparently, he owed you?”
Jake scrunches up his eyebrows as Bradley continues to jostle the two of you toward the exit. “Owed me?”
“Said he cockblocked you at your party two weeks ago?” Bradley says. “Sorry, ‘my’ party,” he adds, with quotation marks around the ‘my’.
You glance between Bradley and Jake with a smirk as the latter raises his eyebrows. “He remembers that night?”
Bradley nods, finally walking out into the sunlight. “He’s felt bad about it ever since.”
Jake glances down at you, wondering if things would have been different had Bob not shown up that fated night, blasted out of his mind. Would you have spent the night? Not gotten engaged to Mustang? Would you have told him the big secret you were keeping, thereby avoiding the whole debacle entirely? Perhaps Bob does owe him.
“Anyway, I called up the cavalry and Bob immediately volunteered,” Bradley continues, making his way to the parking garage.
Suddenly, you stop, and Bradley and Jake come to a halt and look back at you in confusion.
“Here’s the thing about a quick getaway, princess,” says Jake, approaching you to take your hand. “You have to get away quickly.”
You pull your hand out of his. “When did I agree to staying?”
“Lord, give me strength,” Jake mutters, throwing his head back to look up at the sky with a sigh.
“Maybe you can decide this at a safer distance away from where you nearly just got arrested,” Bradley suggests.
“I don’t understand the issue here,” Jake says. “I beat Mustang to a pulp until he confesses. Problem solved.”
Bradley grimaces. “I can see why she might not be on board.”
“Guys, my luggage has already been checked.”
Jake places his hands on his hips and stares you down. “What goes up must come down.”
You roll your eyes. “My mom is expecting me,” you continue.
Jake takes a phone out of his pocket and holds it out. “Simple enough to fix.”
You exhale sharply. “This has to be my decision,” you declare.
Jake shifts his jaw, his face forming a frown without his consent. He locks eyes with you and nods. “Make it, then.”
You swallow uncomfortably without breaking eye contact and Bradley retreats a few steps in the background.
“I don’t know if you know this,” you begin quietly, and Jake dares not move lest he miss a single syllable of your speech. Who knew that a day would come when he’d pretty much give anything just to keep you talking? “But I liked you probably before I even started to hate you.”
Jake gives you a cautious smile. “Probably?”
“Don’t push it,” you retort.
“Sorry, I’ll shut up,” he responds, fighting to keep a straight face. “Go on, tell me how much I mean to you.”
You sigh. “Can you refrain from being an ass for at least a minute?”
Jake makes a face. “Doubtful.”
“Uh, I can attest to that,” Bradley chimes in from behind.
“Rooster, we’re having a moment here,” Jake calls over his shoulder.
“Are you sure about that?” Bradley counters, in response to which Jake just shakes his head.
“Continue,” Jake says to you. “Please.”
You let out an irritable sigh, “I can’t tell you why I liked you, I’m still trying to figure that one out.”
Jake plants his hands on his hips. “Liar.”
You stare at him rather uncomfortably. “I had a boyfriend, remember? I had no business liking you.”
Jake narrows his eyes but stays silent.
“I think it’s because…” you voice trails off and you let out a grudging sigh.
“It’s the truck, isn’t it?” Jake asks pompously. “One ride was all it took.”
You snort out a chuckle and shake your head. “No,” you say. “It’s that.” You gesture at him and he knits his eyebrows together, intrigued. “That ‘sharp sense of humor’,” you say, mockingly repeating the first ever compliment he made you all those moons ago. “No matter how mad you make me, or how pissed I am at the world, you somehow can always make me laugh.”
Jake watches you soberly now, touched that you were finally able to express your feelings. “Don’t tell the truck that,” he mutters.
“Why?” You grin, taking a step toward him. “Does the truck have an ego problem?”
Jake’s lips form a tight, guilt-ridden smirk as you approach. “The truck might have an ego problem.”
You’re standing so close to him now that you have to lift your chin to maintain eye contact. “I might have another confession to make,” you say softly, so that your voice nearly gets swept away in the small breeze filtering through the tunnel.
Jake gulps, not sure he could handle standing at this proximity without getting a little stupid. He’ll have to keep his mouth shut because his brain isn’t the organ being prioritized at the moment.
“I think about the truck a lot,” you whisper, your eyes flitting slowly between his.
“You do?” Jake croaks, and then, clearing his throat, repeats, “You do?”
You nod. “I like how it handles the bumps in the road.”
“Well, yeah, it’s got some heavy-duty shocks, plus the ground clearance –”
“Jake,” you cut him off, unimpressed.
Jake grins. “It’s pretty well-equipped for off-roading, was what I meant to say.”
You gaze at him in amusement. “Perhaps we could try to navigate away from the uneven terrain.”
“Where’s the fun in that?”
You lower your gaze with a small chuckle but, despite the smile, you look uneasy. “I need to know that you’re not going to do anything reckless.”
Jake considers your words for a moment. “Define reckless.”
You glance up at him impatiently. “Check the dictionary.”
He grins. “Fine,” he agrees. “But I can’t vouch for the truck.”
You chuckle again, rolling your eyes. “Shut up and take me home, Jake.”
“Does that mean you’re staying?”
You smile at him and start walking.
“Finally,” Bradley exclaims as the two of you catch up to him. “You guys talk way too much. We’re still fugitives, you know?”
“Sorry, I just needed Jake to know how much I love his truck,” you say with a giggle.
Bradley gives you a confused look while Jake does a double take. “You love my truck?”
You stare at him. “I thought that was obvious.”
“No.” He furiously shakes his head. “No, that was not at all obvious.” Jake steps around Bradley and stops you in your tracks.
Bradley groans in frustration, throwing up his hands. “Guys!”
“You love…” Jake say, “my truck. You love my truck. You love my truck?”
You blink at him innocently and nod. “Uh-huh,” you acknowledge and then walk around him to continue on your merry way.
Jake takes your wrist and you turn back to look at him. He clears his throat uncomfortably. “Just to clarify – so that I know we’re on the same page – I’m the truck, right?”
You press your lips together to keep your growing grin at bay and lower your gaze. “You’re the truck, Jake,” you respond coyly.
“I’m the truck,” Jake repeats stupidly. Hadn’t he earlier meant to stay quiet?
You catch his gaze and smile more freely now. “Right,” you say. “And I could really go for another ride.”
Jake stares at you for a moment, lost for words. Then he slides his arms under your butt and scoops you up so that you’re looking down at him, your feet dangling a foot off the ground.
“Way to remain inconspicuous, you two,” Bradley remarks in the background.
But Jake ignores his best friend and cranes his neck as you lower your lips to his. And he lets you cradle his face in your delicate hands and kiss him. Because, damnit, it’s high time for some action.
A/N: THE END!!! Thank you guys so much for reading! xoxo

₊˚ෆ FALSE GOD
warnings: masturbation, sex, smut, porn with no plot, unprocteted sex, overstimulation, use of toys, cunnilingus, mentions of low/high sex drive, dom/sub dynamics, shaming, humilliation, blue balls, edging, corruption kink, mentions of somnophilia, and twitter links. (Gojo, Geto & Nanami)
author's note: this is not a goodbye, but take it as a see you soon writing.
part 2 (coming soon if it’s well received)
gojo satoru
He's been annoying you the whole morning while trying to coach the kids on their training– slapping his hand away everytime it lowers down from your lower back and giving him a glaring look.
Both of you talked about this. Not letting his high sex drive come across work, and mostly in front of his students. He looked like a lost puppy, searching for attention and someone to relieve his needs.
“Gojo. Stop it–” You pushed his hand away from you, looking back to see if someone else noticed what’s going on. “But I can’t princess, I need you right now~” He whined in your ear, he was about to throw a tantrum if you continued neglecting him this way. It’s been two weeks without sex, can you believe it? Two weeks! He prefers fighting Mahito’s annoying ass again on his own rather than pass one day without inside you.
“It’s not the time right now– and I'm not in the mood either.”
Okay. First of all he knew you weren’t too into sex, and he accepted it! He respected your boundaries, and he didn’t only want you for the sex, he loved you for who you are! But the way you said his last name instead of his first name, and looking like you were about to slap him turned him on even more.
He wouldn’t stop whining and throwing tantrums for your touch, opting for dismissing the class early so they could go to sleep or wherever, it’s weekend anyways.
Both of you sat in silence in his office. Waiting for someone to break the tense silence thanks to him— and he was about to do it, but the moment your mouth opened his mind got in control of your sweet voice.
“Get up and take your pants off. Briefs too-” His eyes light up like a kid when receiving a lollipop for behaving like a good boy he is. He took off his shirt too, feeling like it was drowning him and taking the air out of him because this was the first time you were really taking control over all this.
“Sit.” He did as you said, his cock proudly standing tall and full of cum to dump wherever you wanted him too. But he wasn’t too lucky this time, because the moment you stepped closer to him and his desk, searching for one of his blindfolds he usually leaves there– you kneeled down infront of his, massaging his hard balls that made him moan out loud– taking them in one hand, they were heavy. His blindfold was around them, in a knot– tighten them.
The moment you started jerking off he knew he wouldn’t come as easy as he would. It was wet, really wet– and all thanks to his pre-cum leaving his cock, he was begging for release, he couldn’t come, literally and physically. It was impeding him from cumming, it felt ten times worse than not having your touch– He had it now, but at what cost?
“Aw, look at those blue balls!” You laughed in front of him and slightly slapped the red swollen head of his cock– he was crying, he never did. But it felt so good but it hurt so much at the same time. You took off the blindfold, cum coming out like a big wave, wetting his abdomen, part of his chest and your neck too. His moan almost sounded like a scream, cries and nervous laughs coming out of him– He came but you continued jerking him off, this time overstimulating him instead of edging him– He doesn’t know what was worse. Coherent words were long lost, babbling out trying to stop himself but he couldn’t move himself, way too lost in the pleasure to be able to stop you.
“Let’s see if you can atleast last a week without acting like a fucking horny virgin bitch this time mhm?, let’s make you cum again just to make sure, yeah?”
geto suguru
Geto is a morning wood guy. And he knows you have a low libido, actually Suguru is the only one you’ve sex with.
“I’m scared of dicks ´guru” You whispered, kneeled down in front of him, you were at his dorm, it was 11 P.M and you decided to lose your virginity to Geto assuring he’s the one and you’ve never felt safe in someone else’s arms– he chuckled and looked at you with loving eyes– one of his hands caressed your cheek, “How are you going to be afraid of dicks and want to suck me off at the same time princess? Mhm?”
He laughed at himself at the memory, now you were 6 years together and he’s eager to know how your life is going to be with him, having a wedding, getting a house together, making you pregnant… full of him, shit. This is not helping with the main problem right now.
He’s a decent man. At least that’s what he thinks about himself– he’s not horny all the time like Satoru. Maybe that’s his form of love language? Satoru is a weird ass anyways– he thinks to himself while scrunching his eyebrows together, –stop thinking about him Suguru!, it’s going to make you puke instead of helping the problem… He was looking at the ceiling of your room while you’re sleeping right beside him. He doesn’t want to wake you up, you deserve to have a nice and comfortable sleep.
But the pain down there is not going anywhere, not even with a cold shower. He knows to identify his morning woods– living with them for his whole life, I guess. Unconsciously one of his hands is now touching himself through his boxers making him moan, his free hand quickly covering his mouth and looking to his side to find you still sleeping.
He swears he’s about to slap himself to stop this and suck it up, but he feels your hand stopping him. “Are you okay baby?, I heard something and I thought you hurt yourself or something.”
Oh my god… How could you be so… pure? So perfect for him, always making sure he’s okay, your sleepy voice sounding deeper than your normal voice… His shirt is way too big for you that he swears if he moves his head a little higher he could see your nipples. Shit Suguru, you turned it sexual again!
Should he just… ask you? beg you? beg and cry for some release? Would he sound as horny as a teenager? This problem should be for teenagers! Not for a grown ass man like him!
“Um… I might just had a little problem down there”
“Might? Little?”
His flushed face was cute, his body was fully uncovered by the blankets, leaving him with his chest exposed and a clear wet patch on his boxers.
“C’mon baby, let me help you” He called out your name, trying to stop you the moment you placed your hand on the elastic of his underwear— in one swift motion you freed his cock, catching a glance of how swollen it was due the negligence of the past weeks.
The moment Suguru felt the cold breeze on him, he came.
He fucking came with no touch.
Damn embarrassing.
“Aw, cute. Want me to suck you off?”
nanami kento
You haven’t rushed things with Nanami yet. Both of you were such a cute couple that made people gag.
He’s amazing, not like any other boys you have met before, he treated you nice, spoiled you and mostly respected you– in a world of boys, he’s a gentleman.
He’s such a hard working guy, such an inspiration, so committed to both of his works that you tell him if you ever get married you’ll be the best housewife he could ever have because he deserves it.
But one thing about Nanami is that he keeps things to himself. Just like the boner he has right now by imagining you being his little housewife. He really needs to leave this office right now and relieve some… stress.
The last weeks have been hard for him, naturally affecting your relationship with him. He was always tired, even more earnest and quiet. You know he’s bad at telling what he feels, and he’s always stressed by something– but you have never seen him like this. Like ever.
When he tries to distress himself he just keeps failing over and over again, not being enough and having to suck it up and continue his day with a hard poking erection most likely visible in his pants. That’s why he remains seated most of the time.
But one day he went to your house after work. It was impossible to not notice his erection even when he’s trying to hide with his briefcase or on the sofa.
“Take your pants off Kento.” You’re not a big fan of sex, Nanami knows that, he hasn’t even had sex with you before! So this caught him by surprise, the red on his cheeks spanding through his neck.
“E-excuse me? I’m sorry, what honey?”
“You heard me, take your pants off.” He’s seated on your sofa– unloosened tie, two or three bottoms of his shirt undone, messy hair, in his socks but that damn thing was literally capable of breaking his pants if it didn’t have some release.
He slowly started unbuckling his pants, losing his mental battle and accepting what he needed, and if you were willing to do it, all he could do is take it– but dear god, it was even worse.
All you would do is touch him. Through his briefs. Just the feeling of your fingers through them. Touching the tip was the worst part.
And he couldn’t believe that the most simple touch is capable of making him cum with just your fingers than him raming and jerking off the hardest he has ever tried.

One Night Stands Only [Jason Todd x GN!Reader]
Summary: It’s obvious Jason only has one night stands - right?
Genre: fluff, tiny bit of hurt/comfort
Word Count: 4,6k
Warnings: none
A/N: Came across the DC Valentine’s special again and… yeah. Decided to do sth about it 💁
If you use any of my works for AI I will hunt you down for sport 😬

“You were right, it’s a nice place.” Bernard nods appraisingly, glancing around the newly opened bookstore, little café situated right in the middle. It’s not a new concept by any means, but the high ceilings and big windows allow the little natural light Gotham has to brighten the entire place and the cozy couches and booths scattered between shelves make for a nice and different respite from what the city usually has to offer. Tim hums in approval as he glances over the menu again. “Yeah; quiet, comfy, good coffee selection. I should thank the person who recommended it.”
“And who was that?” Bernard asks over his shoulder before greeting the girl working the counter and placing their order. Tim’s brows immediately furrow. “It was… I heard about it from… Uhm…” The blonde chuckles as he steers his boyfriend towards a nearby table, eyes flicking towards a corner sofa. “You think it might’ve been your brother?” Tim snorts. “Which one?” He receives a gesture at something behind him as an answer and finds Jason sitting on one of the couches a little further back, book propped open in his lap and a few more stacked on the small, round table in front of him and Tim nods. “Okay, sure, that tracks.” Bernard watches over Tim’s shoulder a few moments longer, then a small smile forms on his face. “I mean, yeah, it is a nice place for a date.”
Tim’s head snaps back around so fast it’s comical, a disbelieving, almost scandalized ‘Date?!’ out of his mouth before he can stop it. Sure enough, someone else has joined his brother, just in the process of placing two cups on the table - or trying to anyways; an almost impossible task with the amount of books already occupying the small space. And while he might not be able to hear either of you, he wouldn’t be part of a family of world class detectives if he couldn’t read lips.
‘Okay, should I just get like, a whole teapot now? How long do you plan on being here?’
‘Eh, not long.’
‘Jay, even you can’t read five books at once.’
‘Watch me.’
A cocky grin and an eyebrow waggle, which earns him an eye roll from the mystery person, albeit attached to a fond smile, followed by a shooing motion to scoot further down the sofa and make space, to which he obliges immediately. Tucked into Jason’s side, his arm coming around your shoulders entirely too naturally as both of you go back to your books, seemingly all settled and content to simply be in the other’s presence like this.
Tim turns back to his boyfriend with brows drawn together, lips pressed into a thin line and fingers tapping his chin in thought - and Bernard knows exactly what that look means. “Tim, switch outta detective mode. Your brother has a date, so what?” But the gears are clearly already turning and not stopping anytime soon. “It’s just… Jason only has one night stands.” It’s a look somewhere between surprise, disbelief and even offense before the blonde speaks up again. “Isn’t that a bit presumptuous? You don’t know if—“ Tim vehemently shakes his head to interrupt him. “No, no, I mean that’s literally what he told me; what he tells anyone from the family who asks, as far as I’m aware.”
Bernard’s eyes move over to the couch again, simply observing for a few seconds before he shrugs. “Well, one night stands don’t exclude a date. Or maybe he’s changed his mind. People are allowed to do that, you know.” he says with an easy grin right as the little round sensor on their table starts vibrating, indicating their order is ready. He snatches the device up and stands, placing a hand on Tim’s shoulder, effectively gaining his attention. “Either way, I don’t think it’s anything for you to lose sleep over. Or any of your business, to be honest. If he is in a relationship and you don’t know, I’m sure he has his reasons.” He grabs the hand Tim has been busy biting the cuticles off of and presses a kiss to his knuckles. “Just let it go, detective.”
With that he’s gone to pick up their drinks, meanwhile Tim almost turns his head to look at the couple again, but ultimately decides against it, instead racking his brain for wether or not any of his other siblings ever mentioned Jason having a partner, but nothing comes to mind. Fingers drumming against the table, he’s one spiraling thought away from getting up and going over there to satisfy the annoying itch of curiosity, but then he watches Bernard walk back towards him, a coffee cup in each hand and a happy smile on his face, his own heart skipping a beat at the sight, and he realizes that his boyfriend’s right. It doesn’t matter right now, nor is it any of his business; if this is someone, important to Jason, he would tell them - in his own time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Okay I had my doubts, but that was pretty good.” Stephanie states as she stretches her arms over her head, following the crowds out of the theater into the big entrance hall. Cass grins and nods enthusiastically in agreement, while Babs only shrugs and hums in thought. “I mean, sure, it was good; solid storytelling, breathtaking visuals, but—“
“I still think the book’s better, though.”
They all know it’s exactly what the redhead was gonna say, but it doesn’t come from her. Even so, the voice is familiar and all three of their heads snap up almost in unison to look for the source.
A joyful laugh, from around the pillar a little ways in front of them, followed by, “That’s the most Jason thing you could’ve said, ya know.”
Now that voice isn’t familiar to any of them, neither is the person who appears in their field of view a second later, hands linked with someone still hidden by the pillar - not that it’s still much of a secret who it is.
“So? It’s still true.”
The soft grin on the stranger’s face morphs into something more mischievous. “Riiight. I’m sure you hated every second of this. That’s why I saw some tears during a scene or two.”
A squeak as the person gets yanked forward, disappearing from sight again; then laughs can be heard accompanied with, “It was dark, you didn’t see shit.”
The three girls exchange glances, all wide eyes and raised brows. Then they watch the couple walk out into the open of the entrance hall, towards the exit, one of Jason’s arm’s wrapped tightly around your shoulders as he presses a kiss to the top of your head.
Cassandra is the first to shake off the stupor, a soft smile spreading across her face. “They’re cute together.” she signs. “Yeeeaaahhh…” Steph starts, staring at the doors the two had just left through. “Too cute. And definitely too familiar to just be a one night stand.” The wicked grin is a telltale sign of trouble and Barbara pinches the bridge of her nose because it doesn’t bode well for anybody.
“Just leave it alone, Steph.”
“Oh come on!” the blonde complains. “He’s the one who’s been telling us for ages that he doesn’t do relationships and now he’s out here all sweet and cozy and lovey dovey with someone? And you’re not the least bit curious? I say we investigate!”
Barbara levels her with a blank stare. “And you don’t think that might be the exact reason he doesn’t tell us anything?” Stephanie narrows her eyes at the redhead in suspicion. It’s unlike her, unlike Oracle, not to want all the details of a situation. “Did you already know?”
“Whatever gives you that idea?”
“Because you know everything. And wouldn’t you—“
Barbara doesn’t let her finish. “Would you want a date to be interrupted by your siblings just cause they feel like annoying you? Pestering you about your partner? Jason isn’t the most open, conversational person at the best of times; what do you think is gonna happen if he catches onto your little investigation?”
Steph is about to argue back that sure, while there’s some personal entertainment value involved, she just doesn’t like the idea of someone she cares about being with someone she doesn’t know. What if they’re not a good person? What if they end up hurting him? What if—
Her thoughts are interrupted by a hand on her shoulder and she turns to find herself looking straight into Cass’ dark eyes, her expression serious.
“They really like him, don’t meddle.” she signs.
That takes some of the wind out of Stephanie’s sails and she visibly deflates a bit. “You, uh… you could tell, huh?” The black haired girl nods eagerly and Steph runs a hand through her hair in contemplation. People are an open book to Cassandra, without her ever having to have exchanged a single word with them. If she says you’re fine, that you truly like Jason and have no bad intentions, then… then Steph could leave it alone with an easy conscience. For now, anyways.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Thank you for the assist, Master Richard, but I assure you, while welcome, it was not necessary.”
“It’s fine, Alfred.” Dick reassures while loading the last of the groceries into the back of the car. “I know you can handle the regular grocery shopping just fine, but it’s rare to have that many people at once at the manor; I’m glad to help out.”
The older man gives him a grateful smile in return, then plucks a piece of paper from inside his coat pocket and checks it over. “Oh dear, I do believe I’ve missed something.” he mumbles and hands the list over to Dick. “Master Richard, would you mind looking our current purchase over again, just in case? I’ll be right back.”
He watches Alfred hurry back towards the store, someone else exiting when he’s a few feet away from the entrance. A short exchange, quick thanks presumably, as the person holds the door open for him. Then you steer left, in his general direction and—
Hold on. He wasn’t here when him and Alfred got outta the store a few minutes ago.
The parking lot is situated lower than the actual store, some stairs to his right leading up to the higher level, so Dick takes a few steps backwards and cranes his neck back slightly, a leafless hedge partly blocking his view, but the tall, broad stature clad in a leather jacket and the black and white hair are a dead give away. He’s about to call out, surely his brother just didn’t spot him yet, but someone beats him to it.
“Okay, let’s go home.”
The person who’d just left the store. Most definitely talking to Jason. And you seem more than a little annoyed and exasperated.
Meanwhile his brother looks like he’s trying not to burst out laughing.
“What?” the mystery person barks, eyes narrowed at the tall man suspiciously.
“I know I did not just watch you whack an old lady over the head with a magazine cause she tried to take the steak from you.”
“It was the last one!” you complain and the tension bleeds from Dick’s shoulders as he realizes that this is in no way a serious altercation. “Besides, Constance had it coming, not the first time she tried to pull a stunt like that; she’s a fucking menace to everybody.”
Silence for a few long seconds. Then, “If you laugh right now, I swear to God I’m leaving you out on the street tonight, Todd.”
Jason snorts. “And then who’s gonna make the food you fought so hard to get? Sure as shit not you; last time I left you alone with the stove, I thought Firefly had broken into the apartment.”
Dick watches his brother’s conversation partner huff, arms crossed over your chest in defiance as you stare Jason down - until your shoulders sag in defeat and you break eye contact, because apparently, he’s right. “You’re lucky you’ve got other talents besides just being pretty, you know that?”
Jason takes the bags from you, met with only mild complaints, as he grins. “You think I’m pretty? Aw, thanks, babe.” You roll your eyes at that, but there’s a smile tugging at the corners of your lips either way. “Leave the corny flirting to Nightwing, it doesn’t suit you.” And Jason actually has the audacity to scrunch up his face in distaste. “Hey now. I was only teasing you; comparing me to him is a straight up insult, take it back.”
“Make me~” you taunt with a sing-song voice and a mirthful smirk, then take off full speed in the opposite direction, past the store, with Jason hot on your heels not a second later.
And Dick hasn’t seen his little brother wear a smile that big in such a long time, he almost forgets to be offended.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damian isn’t sure why he’s even here. It’s not like this has any actual academic value for him.
That’s Chrysaora fuscescens.
Over there, Hippocampus hippocampus.
And that one’s Anguilla dieffenbachii.
He’s studied all these creatures and more before and even if he wouldn’t learn anything new about aquatic dwellers, his father had insisted on him going on this field trip. Something about a chance to ‘improve his social skills’.
Tt.
If that’s the mission he’d been given, he’d succeed. Even if he thought it utterly unnecessary. At least he could do it in the presence of one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet, the mighty—
“Shark! Jason, look, there it is!”
With the level of excitement, one would think it’s coming from a child, but no, it’s very much an adult, standing in front of the big glass tank, in the company of Todd of all people. Damian slows his steps to a halt, coming from one of the smaller side entrances that lead to the huge room, and simply observes from a safe distance.
“Uh huh, I see it. And I feel like now would be a good time to remind you that you have plenty of shark memorabilia and that we’ll simply be walking past the gift shop later.”
An inelegant snort, as the person side eyes him with amusement. “Would now be a good time to remind you that we both know that’s not happening?”
Jason pinches the bridge of his nose as he heaves a sigh, but Damian detects no true malice in it. He’s seen him truly irritated, angry - this is nothing of the sort. Fond exasperation, if anything.
“I know they’re nowhere near as dangerous as the media likes to make them out to be,” Jason starts, “but I’m still not sure how you can look at something decidedly dangerous, built for killing, and think it’s… cute.”
The look he receives in return is one Damian can’t quite identify and apparently neither can his brother.
“What?”
“Really? You can’t figure that out?” You cross your arms over your chest and cock your head to the side in thought. “Well, I think you should meet my boyfriend, then. Cause ya know, he’s pretty dangerous and rough around the edges, too, and I still think he’s cute.”
Jason mimics your stance as he responds. “Oh, do you now?”
You nod eagerly, grinning ear to ear. “Of course. When he gets up all groggy with a bed head cause he works late? Cute. When he pretends to get annoyed at his best friend cause he called him a silly nickname? Cute. When—“ That’s as far you get, interrupted by your own squeal, as Jason brings one arm around your shoulders to pull you in and smoosh your face against his chest, the other around your waist so you can’t escape. “Yeah, yeah, got it; I think I’ve heard enough about that guy now.”
Meanwhile you’ve managed to gain enough wiggle room to loop your arms around his neck and pull back to look up at him, lopsided, lovesick smile plastered all over your face. “Sorry, I can’t help it sometimes; I love him very much.” And it’s embarrassing, Damian thinks, how fast Jason breaks, all affectionate grin and soft eyes, just because someone is batting their lashes at him. “Well, he’d be a fool not to love you back.”
Damian turns away in disgust right as the couple is about to share a kiss and retreats down the hallway he came from. He’d never taken Todd for a particularly… honorable man, but courting someone he knows to be in a relationship with someone else? That’s a vile breach of trust that he won’t stand for. And, if he bothered to be honest with himself, not something he could actually see Todd engaging in. Despite his many flaws, he’s proven himself a loyal man often enough. But Damian can’t ignore what he heard with his own ears, that would be disregarding incriminating evidence, so he’ll need to have a talk with his father as soon as he gets home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You’re curled up on the couch book in hand when the front door all but flies open, your boyfriend hurrying inside and immediately locking the door behind him again. Before you even get a chance to greet him, he’s speeding through the rest of the apartment, making sure all the windows are shut tight and locked, too. You’ve put the book away, instead staring at him over the back of the couch with raised, quizzical brows when he comes back down the hallway into the living room, finally kicking off his boots at the entrance and hanging up his jacket. Then he beelines for the sofa, lifting up your legs to make room and plop himself down, settling your legs in his lap before he tips his head back and scrubs his hands over his face with a groan.
“Okay, Jay? I need you to talk to me; what kind of apocalypse should I be preparing for here?”
He doesn’t answer for a few long seconds, simply drops his hands from his face, his fingers coming to draw anxious patterns into your thighs instead. “Yeah, we’re totally busted. They know about you now.” And as miserable as he looks, as much as you know that spending time with his family is often draining and challenging for him, you can’t help the relieved laugh that bubbles up out of your throat, because with they way he’d just put your apartment on complete lockdown, you’d been expecting something - or someone - way worse.
Still chuckling, you grab one of his hands and squeeze. “Sweetheart, your family literally consists of detectives. In my opinion, we’re damn lucky to have even made it this long without them knowing.” He sighs, eyes still fixed on the ceiling. “I’m not convinced Babs didn’t know before tonight. That woman knows everything.” While you’ve only heard stories and seen some pictures of the redhead, you have absolutely no trouble believing that. “So what happened, anyways?”
He mulls it over for a moment. “Well, I think it started when Damian tried to have me disowned.” You almost choke on nothing but air, a sound somewhere between a snort, a cough and a laugh leaving you. “Okay, you’ve completely lost me, babe.”
“Honestly, I was mostly just surprised I’m even still in the will.” A not so gentle nudge of your foot, an annoyed whine of his name because sure, you’d play along for now. Let him get the jokes and sass out of his system and pretend that you don’t see that the lazy grin he gives you is forced. That you don’t feel one his feet tapping the floor anxiously. That you don’t notice the way his eyes keep flicking towards the window and the door, like he’s expecting them to be kicked down any second now. “Apparently Damian saw us at the aquarium together and somehow assumed I’m your, uh, your mistress? And thought it dishonorable enough to bring up disowning me because of it.” Admittedly, picturing that elicits a real laugh, one you try to hide, but the next part still comes out as more of a wheeze than anything else. “And he just… what? Brought that up casually over dinner?” Jason shrugs. “Basically. Tried to talk my way outta it, but turns out some of the others saw us together, too, and things just spiraled from there.” It’s quiet for only a moment, then you, very much still intent on helping him distract himself from whatever it is that’s truly eating at him, but mixed with just a tad of entertained curiosity now, hit him with, “Well, yeah, makes sense; you have been getting sloppy.” His head shoots up from the back of the couch so fast you’re afraid his neck might snap and he actually looks offended. “How exactly is this my fault?”
“Come on, Jay. First couple of months of this relationship you wouldn’t even leave the house with me. Now? Grocery shopping, the movies, café dates, the aquarium - we’re barely apart, so it really was only a matter of time till they figured it out.” Rolling his eyes, he slides further down his seat and pouts, fully aware that technically you are correct - doesn’t mean he has to like it. “Great, helpful as ever, darling. And what do you, in your infinite wisdom, suggest we do about this now?” You regard him in silence for a moment: how he fiddles with your fingers, the set of his jaw, the furrow in his brows, the way every muscle in his body seems tense.
“Hey…” you murmur gently, interlacing your fingers. “Why do we have to do anything about this? What are you so worried about? I promise not to bite them when I meet them. Unless you want me to.” Careful prodding, still interlaced with humor - to let him know he can talk to you about it, but only if he wants to. He huffs out a quiet laugh, giving your intertwined hands a squeeze. “You can be such a gremlin sometimes, do you know that?” Bringing a hand to your chest in mock offense, you grin at him. “Oh, you do not get to call me a gremlin when you’re the one who consistently feeds me after midnight and gets me plenty wet.” The following eye brow waggle from your side is what breaks him; a full blown, joyful laugh as he shifts, picking you up and depositing you on his lap sideways, his arms encircling your middle, some of the previous tension visibly leaving his face. “See, that’s the exact kinda shit I don’t need you saying around them, cause I’ll never live that down.” Humming in thought, you get comfortable in your new position, resting your head in the crook of his neck. “Sounds like a you problem, though.” It earns you a playful pinch to your sides that has you batting at his arms and hands to try and get him to stop; a fruitless effort of course, but he eventually settles his hands back on your hips. In turn, you place a hand on his chest, feeling for his heartbeat; most definitely too fast for simply fooling around with and teasing you. He’s not just worried, he’s scared, so you decide the time for games is over. “I’m being serious, though, what’s the matter? This isn’t anything you actually need to be concerned over, is it? It’s really not that big of a deal. So what if they know about me? So what if I eventually meet them now; not like it’s gonna change anything between us.” It’s small and if you didn’t know him as well you did, you probably would’ve missed it or written it off as irrelevant: the way he ever so slightly flinches at the last part.
Bingo.
But you don’t push, you know better. You let him get his thoughts in order, shifting restlessly beneath you while he does and let him answer in his own time.
“It’s stupid…”
“It’s not stupid if it’s bothering you.”
A sigh, then you feel him rest his cheek on the top of your head.
“I dunno. Being around you is always so… easy. Comforting. Being with them isn’t. It’s complicated and it’s messy and overall just exhausting, most of the time. It’s not all bad, just…” He shakes his head slightly, like he’s trying to get rid of an onslaught of memories; good or bad, you’re not entirely sure. “I guess I just don’t want them rubbing off on you, is all.” Pulling back to look at him, you find his eyes elsewhere, anywhere but you, desperate to avoid your scrutiny. “In other words, you’re worried your relationship with them, their opinions of you, are gonna affect mine, right?” He still can’t bring himself to look at you when he mumbles, “Basically…”
You shuffle about until you get your legs back under you, straddling him and cupping his face in your palms, running your thumbs along his cheek bones until he willingly brings his unnaturally green eyes back to yours and you feel like your heart might crack at the uncertainty you find there. “You’re forgetting that, aside from you, I’m probably the most stubborn person in this city; once I’ve made up my mind, it’s hard to change it. If anything, you should be worried about me not shutting the fuck up about how amazing and wonderful you are around them.” He scoffs and tries to turn his head out of your hold, but you refuse to let go and press a quick kiss to the tip of his nose instead, effectively stunning him into obedience. “Uh uh, you’re not going anywhere, I’m not finished yet. I’m on your side, okay? Even if it feels like nobody else is. I’m judging you based on my experiences with you, not theirs. And sure, not everything’s been great; you’re not perfect and neither am I, but that’s human. We live and we learn and we fuck up and then we try again. And I know you try, Jason. Every day, I know you’re trying. Trying to navigate a second life you never asked for. Trying to live in a body that never feels right, no matter how much time passes. Trying to mend the bonds with a family that more often than not still sees the ghost of a boy looking back at them, instead of the man you’ve become. Trying to make things better in this city, so that no one has to go through the same things you did. And nothing your family could say or do or show me is ever gonna change what I see with my own eyes.” He’s been silent this entire time, letting you speak, but you watched his shoulders slump, the tension that’s kept him wound up like a spring finally dissipating, and his own hands are now gently holding onto your wrists.
“And what do you see?”
It’s barely above a whisper, so quiet, you almost miss it despite how close you are.
You don’t have all the answers. You don’t actually know what meeting his family is gonna be like, how it might affect your relationship, but this? Oh, this you can answer just fine.
“A man who’s scarred and deeply flawed, but is still trying to do better, to be better. A man who wants to make up for the mistakes he did make, but sometimes nobody cares to listen. A man who, for all his efforts to appear ruthless, is still the most caring person I know. I see a man who, despite life never having been kind to him, retained a kind soul.”
And with the way he’s looking at you right now? Nothing but wonder and admiration and affection written all over his face? How could you not be sure about what you’re gonna say next? Sure that no one, absolutely no one, would ever be able to change your mind about him.
“I see the love of my life.”

Hi!, can I get some headcanons of transformers one character being jealous and the reader teases them.
D-16, Orion, Sentinel, Badassatron, and elita.
TF-ONE X READER
I tried to make this silly I'm feeling silly...enjoy
Post includes all of above :3
D-16
Tries to act unaffected by it, but doesn’t make a huge deal
Usually
He’s usually nice about it
Let’s say a bot is being really friendly with you, they’re making you laugh and everything. D sees from the distance, then comes up to you. Placing a servo against the small of your back-frame. “Heyy what’s so funny? I want to hear too :)”
He’s forcing a smile so bad.
He’s harmless, man, he trusts you completely
If another bot is for real flirting with you though, he's going to be so passive-aggressive
It’s more like he wants ur attention lol
If you teased him about it he’s going to deny it so hard
"What? No, no no.. I’m not jealous..pfft"
If you’re extra sweet maybe he’ll admit it
NOO y/n.. I’m funnier than them anyway.. I’m cooler too..
Orion
Don’t get jealous often either
He trusts you, he’s trustful of most bots
He gets jealous when you don't give him enough attention too
You’ll be talking to someone and he’ll just be in the background like,
“I’m..Y/N? Hey I..y/n? Uhm..I'm..right here..”
He’s so awkward, he doesn’t want to be rude to either of you but he’s lonely!!
If you tease him about looking sad when you’re not looking at him all the time, he’ll softly scoff.
"Well...yeah. They were flirting with you.."
sad puppy eyes
"Orion..they were asking me about Sentinels speech yesterday.."
"Oh...sorry."
eughhh
Sentinel
Oh boy
It’s a mix of irritation and jealousy
Why are you looking at someone else! When you can be looking at him!
He might be an attention seeker. He’ll just say things to catch your attention.
“Hey sweetspark, come look at my new paint job!” He calls you over as you're busy talking to someone else, he looks exactly the same btw
If you teased him I feel like he’ll take it way too seriously
“Jealous? What is there to be jealous of?? I’m literally Sentinel??”
But then his insecurity starts
“Wait…do you like talking to them more?”
evil sad puppy eyes
He'll only be content if you feed him compliments. Also erm..never talk to that bot again
#toxic
If he can’t demote the bot he was jealous of, he’ll try to one-up them, otherwise they are FIRED
After he gets over it he’ll be extra affectionate. You also get affectionate when you tease him so maybe it’s not so bad after all
insert makeout session
B-127
Badassatron
He’s definitely a bit attention and touch-starved after being stuck in low levels for who knows how many years
It’s only logical that he’s glued to your side for the rest of your life
If he’s jealous it’s very obvious. He tries to do something to get your attention or awkwardly stands there
Hey y/n look at this! - Does a backflip and falls
Tease him about it and he gets flustered
"Whattt? No, I’m not jealous!" He lets out a cocky laugh
“Ok maybe a little..”
Kiss his faceplate all over and he’s yours
He's definitely the least harmful
If he's jealous about a bot he particularly dislikes or they're flirting with you out and about, he might be more passive-aggressive about it
"Hey don't mean to intrude or anything, but uh, I'm kinda busy with my PARTNER. And by PARTNER I mean we're together. Yeah, uh huh! So, if you don't mind, my PARTNER and I are going to ignore you now. Since we're y'know..busy being together."
Elita
She’s smug about her jealousy, but only you could tell
“No, I’m not jealous. What makes you think that?”
Meanwhile, she’s giving the nastiest glare to the other bot.
“You really need to stop bringing their hopes up. Did you hear the way they were flirting with you?”
“Elita...they were just thanking me."
“Don’t even look at them actually"
If you tease her, she either denies it or is very proud
Like yeah she got a little jealous, she has such an amazing partner and anyone in their right mind would see that too.
Or no..she's definitely not jealous. She's just speaking her mind
