DANDELION.

The life of a priest suited your character more than it suited your religious inclination. My newest doll, Roscoe! These aren't formal shoots so there's some weird lighting, but I'm too excited not to share!

A friend of mine left the BJD community and asked if @starheartsdreams and I would like her dolls. Damien took the other one (ResinSoul Spring) and I took this guy, a legit Tiny Delf Hansel! He has elf ears, you just can't really see them with this wig very well.

I'm going to be giving him a new faceup this week hopefully since he just has the factory faceup. I have plans so hopefully they will...succeed? I guess.

He is the half-elven child of Queen Azalea and her consort Lio.

He seems to get along fine with his adopted alien brother Ambrose too!

I love how you didn't have the others hide the fact that Feyre was the one to give Clare's name but they didn't vilify her either even if they could've and all hate what she's done. Yeah I've already had Feysand creepers arguing everyone is taking the Night Court in bad fate which like...They're allowed to?! Feyre destroyed Spring, indirectly caused Daphne's death and didn't stand up for Nesta, then Rhysand wants to be High King (hahahahahahahaha no), almost causes Tamlin to kill himself and locked Nesta up and forced her to help with his bullshit schemes. They're allowed to hate them and worst. But ya know if this was Sarah's book she'd say Spring are the villains for being mad. Though luck dudes my name ain't Sarah and I'm not excusing them.

I had the squad tell her everything upfront not only because she deserves to know but so that the Feysand crowd can't say they didn't tell her the truth that Rhysand 'helped' (would've helped more if you didn't tell Amarantha anything but you stupid fuck) and that Feyre didn't she would die. Clare gets the whole truth but she's still allowed to be mad and say 'Nah fuck them, their little oops cost me my human life and my entire family. They going down'

Confrontation will take a while but we shall get more Clare, both her being besties with Nesta learning about fae life and coming to terms with everything.

Her name is Azalea Ambrose and she’s a lady-in-waiting to Queen Amaya. Her wish was to be a lady-in-waiting and she got it granted because it’s good for Rosas. Azalea works to help Amaya in many ways, such as clothing, food and as a person for Amaya to vent to about stuff she doesn’t feel comfortable taking to anyone else about.

She likes pink, I know, shocker, and I based her outfit design on the art pieces showing ladies-in-waiting :) more fun facts is that she speaks sign language and that her favourite food is strawberry’s.

Meet My Dolls

Here's the full list of my dolls, in order of receiving them.

Lio

Full name & pronouns: Liora (she/her)

Doll: 1/4 size. Head is a legit Souldoll Amy on a recast Minifee A-Line body. Faceup by me.

Appearance: Redheaded, green-eyed, freckles

Backstory: Lio owns a bakery in her small town, which is...a fairly strange small town. Bordering a forest where very strange things happen, it isn't unusual to find magical creatures, even if half the town pretends that's not so.

Personality: Sweet and even-tempered, Lio loves to bake and feed people and has a bit of a maternal streak.

Real background: Lio is my first doll; I got her way back in 2011 to celebrate living independently from my parents. I'd originally bought a full legit doll, but I always hated the old Souldoll girl body I'd gotten so I bought a second-hand recast in 2018 or so. She's gone through several faceups and wigs but she's finally what I wanted her to be from the start!

Freyja

Full name & pronouns: Li'l Freyja (she/her)

Doll: 1/12 size. She is a Hujoo Nano Freya and made of ABS plastic. Faceup by me.

Appearance: pink cat doll, currently with pink eyes.

Backstory: Unsure where she came from, but Lio found this baby kitten in the trash behind the bakery. Since she had nowhere else to go, she went home with Lio and lives there quite happily.

Personality: Precious but a bit feisty. Still likes to get into trash.

Real background: She was a Christmas gift from my spouse in...2013? I think? Before Hujoo went under, certainly. Unfortunately she broke and is no longer in my regular doll rotation.

Ambrose

Full name & pronouns: *unpronounceable alien noises* (he/they)

Doll: 1/6 size. He is a recast Littlefee Shiwoo from Oueneifs in teal. Faceup by my spouse @starheartsdreams.

Appearance: teal skin, star freckles, galaxy eyes, pink hair.

Backstory: He's a child on his own planet (but approximately 110 by our count), and took his father's spaceship for a joy ride. This, predictably, led to him crash-landing in Lio's yard. She's sort of adopted him, and he's glad because he's pretty sure he's in big trouble from the whole spaceship thing.

Personality: He's an enthusiastic dumpling who loves pink, animals, and baked goods.

Real background: When I first discovered BJD in about 2005 or so, I adored Luts Shiwoo and had plans to get him, but as I was a teen in a poor family with no job, that was...not really an option. Cut to 2021, and the 1/3 Shiwoo was no longer my style, but I fell in love with the idea of a little alien child. Also, he was purchased entirely with profits from my writing career and so is importantly symbolic in that regard!

Full name: Tofuberry (she/her)

Doll: 1/12 size. She is a recast Sio2 Bleater sheep, from hehebjd. Faceup by @starheartsdreams

Appearance: Pink/orange gradient molded hair with white flowers; blue eyes; purple eyeliner; yellow star on cheek; sheep.

Backstory: She exists separately from my main doll "continuity." She lives quietly in her little cottage in the woods, living an ideal cottagecore life.

Personality: Cute, sweet, peaceful.

Real background: She was an anniversary gift from my spouse in June 2021. @starheartsdreams picked her out because she sort of looked like me, being small, thick-hipped, and very fluffy. Because she doesn't pose very well and she's too top-heavy to sit or stand without support, we built her a dollhouse to live in, where she can sit and not be messed with too much. Azalea

Full name: Elven Queen Azalea III, Protector of the Green Realm (she/her)

Doll: 1/4 size. She is a legit ResinSoul Mei on a recast Minifee M-line body, both in white. Faceup by @starheartsdreams

Appearance: Green blushing, green freckles, thick black eyebrows, pink flower on her cheek, pink/yellow eyes, black undercut hair.

Backstory: A respected warrior and queen of the Elves in the woods behind Lio's small town, she met Lio quite by chance. She is rather taken with this small-town baker and keeps visiting...

Personality: Azalea, like her name, is both beautiful and deadly. She will protect those she loves, including the elves and other magical creatures of the forest, at any cost, but she is not above seeking whatever she might want as well.

Real background: Getting Azalea together was a TRIP. I ordered her head and body separately (of course) in February 2021, with my stimulus check. The body got to me in a couple of weeks, and then her wig, and then her eyes...and I didn't get the head until August. And then I immediately had a bunch of personal disasters happen, so she just languished on the shelf, naked and unpainted, until November, when--after injuring my wrist--I finally just asked @starheartsdreams to paint her instead of waiting until I had the ability to do so myself. I'm glad I did, though, because their style suits her SO MUCH MORE than mine would have.

Full name: Roscoe Half-Elven, Prince of the Green Realm (he/him)

Doll: 1/8 size. He is a legit Luts Tiny Delf Hansel with elf ears. Faceup by me.

Appearance: Red curls, green skin, freckles, blue/purple eyes

Backstory: The child of Queen Azalea and her consort, the human baker Lio. As a half-elf, it's uncertain if he'll inherit the throne or not, but that's not a concern at the moment, given he's a very small child!

Personality: Mischievous, prone to using his inherent magic to obtain cookies or items out of reach, but generally good-natured and playful.

Real background: My friend left the hobby and offered me her BJDs so that they could actually be loved and played with. I took the Hansel, and gave the other to my spouse @starheartsdreams . I was utterly enamored from the time I looked him up!

Full name: Max (she/they)

Doll: 1/6 size. They are a recast Soom Sammi/Picro Elemander. Faceup by @starheartsdreams

Appearance: Blue wig, pink fins & gills, pale yellowish skin, swirls on cheeks

Backstory: Max is the larval form of a swamp monster, but they don't know that. They just want some hugs.

Personality: Shy, sweet, likes to eat desserts and bugs in equal measure.

Real background: I ordered Max for my birthday gift to me in 2022. That's. That's it, really.

Full name: Victor Sobrantien

Doll: 1/3 size (65cm). He is a recast Iplehouse Claude on an SID body. Faceup by @starheartsdreams

Appearance: Long, flowing black hair, thick eyebrows, mismatched brown eyes (one is probably going to get changed out), punky aesthetic, piercings

Backstory: Victor and his brother Valentin (@starheartsdreams' doll) were twins raised to be vampire hunters. Ever since Valentin was bitten, though, the job is a little stranger. Victor now works outside of the clan, still hunting vampires but sometimes working with his brother. He also possesses some magic of his own...

Personality: Easy-going, gregarious, a bit goofy

Real background: My spouse and I both liked the two versions of Claude--they liked the vampire version, I liked teh human version. Since 2022 is our 10 year anniversary, we exchanged dolls, and bought them in March because of a sale.

Full name: Cassidy

Doll: 1/12 (12.7cm). She's an aliexpress recast of the Hujoo nano freya, as Hujoo no longer exists.

Appearance: White kitten with gray tabby stripes, currently wearing yellow eyes.

Backstory:

Personality: Fussy, prissy, but sweet and affectionate

Real background: I was actually devastated when my Nano Freya broke and didn't think I could get a replacement, since Hujoo is gone. Found an aliexpress listing with basically every Hujoo doll, although only in white. I was going to try to reshell Freyja, but this doll felt SO different that she turned into her own character. I really enjoy sewing for her!
