Or the mother holding her dead child in a shroud. Or the father sitting among the rubble after he lost his whole family. Or the girl trapped under a broken building begging for people to save her family first. Or the boy who cried when he saw his brother alive. Or the girl who asked if she was still alive after being pulled from the rubble. Or the boy who carried the remains of his brother in his backpack. Or the old man the IOF used for a photoshoot before they shot him dead after getting pictures. Or the little boy wearing plastic gloves to pick up the remains of his family. Or the graves desecrated. Or the body of that small baby girl left alone in a tent because no one knew who she was or if her family was alive, small and alone and not one person who knew her name to bury her. Or the young boy who was shot in the street while his sister watched from the window. Or the men and boys who were stripped naked in winter. Or those tortured. Or those made to stand in open graves. Or the people who were raped by IOF soldiers. Or Palestinian workers kidnapped by the IOF and then labeled with wristbands, each one reduced to a number, then made to walk back to Gaza to be killed in the world's largest open air concentration camp. Or the people of Gaza starving because Israeli Zionists are blocking aid trucks. Or the Israelis dancing and celebrating the death of Palestinians. Or the lies spread by Zionists and their supporters. Or the people profiting off the oppression and deaths of Palestinians. Or the people of the West Bank being killed or kidnapped by the IOF. Israel is intentionally starving Palestinians and should be held accountable for war crimes – and genocide, according to the UN’s leading expert on the right to food. Hunger and severe malnutrition are widespread in the Gaza Strip, where about 2.2 million Palestinians are facing severe shortages resulting from Israel destroying food supplies and severely restricting the flow of food, medicines and other humanitarian supplies. Aid trucks and Palestinians waiting for humanitarian relief have come under Israeli fire. “There is no reason to intentionally block the passage of humanitarian aid or intentionally obliterate small-scale fishing vessels, greenhouses and orchards in Gaza – other than to deny people access to food,” Michael Fakhri, the UN special rapporteur on the right to food, told the Guardian. “Intentionally depriving people of food is clearly a war crime. The speed of the malnutrition crisis speaks to the fact that even before this war, half of Gazans were food insecure and almost 80% relied on humanitarian aid due to the 16-year blockade. As allies we must shift our focus to not just demanding and writing and calling about a ceasefire and donating from the comfort of our homes. I know not all of us have. I see the protests and headlines and footage.

But clearly that is not enough.

We need backup. So the ones that stayed home? Time to go outside.

The peaceful protests and donations aren't enough, we need ones that disrupt.

We need people to start shutting down highways and airports and stalling more military cargo ships while demanding that the illegal occupation and genocide of Palestine ends immediately.

We need to be outside of every governor's office, the capitol, and the WH. We need to be blocking the entrance to lockheed martin, Boeing, and the Pine Bluff Arsenal providing rockets and chemical weapons to Israel to stop them at the root.

Not a single politician or weapons manufacturer employee in the USA should be able to clock into work until an END to the occupation is called. Not a ceasefire. Not a pause.

Every day this goes on is a day we lose more innocent lives. There is no time to waste.

JUNE 24 2024 - A US aid drop crushes the tent of a displaced Palestinian family in Gaza.

In the video, a man pleads to international organizations and countries distributing aid to stop air drops due to the dangers they pose to Palestinians. At least 20 Palestinians have been killed in the aid drops on Gaza since they began, and many have drowned trying to reach aid that was dropped into the sea.

This form of "aid" is uncaring and deadly, especially while hundreds of lifesaving humanitarian aid trucks are being blocked from entering Gaza due to Israeli settlers attacking aid trucks, attempting to lynch truck drivers, looting, crushing and destroying the aid from the trucks, blocking roads with stones, fire and even bringing their own children, all with the backing and protection of the Israeli military. Recently, Israel has also bombed the Rafah Crossing into Gaza, cutting off aid from Egypt and trapping Palestinians in Gaza.

Despite trucks being the safest way for Palestinians to receive aid, Palestinians are still being massacred by Israeli forces when aid trucks are brought in, such as when the Israeli army massacred 112 starving people and injured over 700, when starving Palestinians gathered to collect flour, not just once. While the Israeli army claims Hamas attacks aid trucks, These incidents coming only months before Israeli special forces disguised themselves as humanitarian aid workers during an operation and massacred 276 Palestinians and injuring nearly 700.

Six children die of malnutrition in Gaza hospitals: Health Ministry

Six children have died from dehydration and malnutrition at hospitals in northern Gaza, the Health Ministry in the besieged Palestinian territory has said, as the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave worsens.

Two children died at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the ministry said on Wednesday. Earlier it reported that four children died at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, while seven others remained in critical condition.

“We ask international agencies to intervene immediately to avert a humanitarian catastrophe in northern Gaza,” Health Ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra said in a statement, as Israel’s attacks on Gaza continue.

“The international community is facing a moral and humanitarian test to stop the genocide in Gaza.”

Kamal Adwan Hospital’s Director Ahmed al-Kahlout said that the hospital had gone out of service due to a lack of fuel to run its generators. On Tuesday, Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia also went out of service for the same reason.

In a video posted on Instagram and verified by Al Jazeera’s Sanad verification unit, journalist Ebrahem Musalam shows an infant on a bed inside the pediatric department at Kamal Adwan Hospital, as power comes in and out.

Musalam said the children in the department are suffering from malnutrition and a lack of infant formula, and that necessary devices have stopped working due to the constant power outages as a result of fuel shortages.

Palestinian group Hamas on Wednesday said that the closure of Kamal Adwan Hospital would exacerbate the health and humanitarian crisis in Northern Gaza, which is already teetering on the brink of famine as Israel continues to block or disrupt aid missions there.

‘Killing and starvation’

On Wednesday, Israel said a convoy of 31 trucks carrying food had entered northern Gaza. The Israeli military office that oversees Palestinian civilian affairs, the Coordination of Government Activity in the Territories (COGAT), also said nearly 20 other trucks entered the north on Monday and Tuesday.

These were the first major aid deliveries in a month to the devastated, isolated area, where the United Nations has warned of worsening starvation.

Israel has held up the entry of aid into Gaza for weeks, with Israeli protesters taking part in demonstrations calling for no aid to be allowed into the territory, even as hunger and disease spread.

UN officials say Israel’s months-long war, which has killed nearly 30,000 people in Gaza, has also pushed a quarter of the population of 2.3 million to the brink of famine.

Project Hope, a humanitarian group operating a clinic in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, has said that 21 percent of the pregnant women and 11 percent of the children under the age of five it has treated in the last three weeks are suffering from malnutrition.

“People have reported eating nothing but white bread as fruit, vegetables, and other nutrient-dense foods are nearly impossible to find or too expensive,” Project Hope said.

In a joint communique on Wednesday, Qatar and France stressed their opposition to an Israeli military offensive on Rafah in southern Gaza and underlined their “rejection of the killing and starvation suffered by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip”.

They called for the opening of all crossings into Gaza, including in the north, “to allow for humanitarian actors to resume their activities and notably the delivery of food supply and pledged jointly $200m effort in support of the Palestinian population”.

Jan Egeland, secretary-general of the Norwegian Refugee Council, also said Israel must allow aid trucks into Gaza in order to address the dire humanitarian crisis.

“Hundreds of aid trucks wait in line to cross into Gaza at the Rafah and Kerem Shalom [Karem Abu Salem] crossings to a starving civilian population,” Egeland said in a social media post, with a video showing scores of aid trucks lined up.

“There has not been a single day we have gotten the needed 500 trucks across. The system is broken and Israel could fix it for the sake of the innocent.”

Medical aid group Doctors Without Borders, also known as Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), has meanwhile said that medical workers are struggling to serve hundreds of thousands of displaced people in Gaza who are living in dire conditions with nowhere to go.

“Healthcare has been attacked, it’s collapsing. The whole system is collapsing. We are working from tents trying to do what we can. We treat the wounded. With the displacements, people’s wounds have been infected. And I’m not even talking about the mental wounds. People are desperate. They don’t know anymore what to do,” MSF’s Meinie Nicolai said.

“They were all Hamas,” doesn’t excuse or explain away torture and war crimes. Remember, the IDF killed their own citizens who were waving white flags, unarmed, and yelling “Help!” in Hebrew, so I do not believe for one second that all of the bodies discovered in the mass grave were all Hamas fighters. And even if they were, prisoners of war have rights. And this isn’t me being pro-Hamas, it’s a basic ass acknowledgement of the Geneva Convention that it’s a fucking war crime to bound and then summarily execute dozens of unarmed prisoners — who were more than likely just regular Gazans seeking shelter and medical care.

But once you're labeled a “terrorist,” unfortunately anything that Israel does to “defend” itself is automatically deemed acceptable. And the bar to being labeled a terrorist is actually quite low. It's practically nonexistent.

To recap, Israel has turned off the water and electricity going into Gaza; has bombed multiple hospitals and UN schools and churches and “safe” zones; Israel has shot dead and massacred unarmed starving people who were trying to get food; Israel has bombed food delivery trucks with noncombatants; Israel continues blocking healthcare and food aid to starving Palestinians; Israel is committing ethnic cleansing and genocide in plain sight of the entire world—and Israel is very clearly lying about it. But for some reason, anyone who dares apply even an ounce of common sense and acknowledge the reality unfolding right in front of our eyes, they are accused of antisemitism.

I’m glad that the ICC is finally issuing arrest Israeli warrants. I only wish that it happened about 45,000 murders sooner.

Steve Sosebee is the founder of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and he's been sharing many such stories over the last weeks, of the people they've helped, treated, rehabbed, flown to other countries for specialization, who've since been killed in this "war".

The tragedy of this one, the timing, the father writing his grateful letter in just September, the realization that after all his efforts to keep his son alive through the blockade and violence of Gaza before this, and then through the bombs and evacuations during it, only to watch him starve, and write this letter where he apologizes for bearing bad news, and still thanks Sosebee three times. The agony of this slow death for this child and his family, the guilt in not finding him food, not enough, not soon enough.

Everything about this situation is man-made. The bombs, the famine. Aid trucks are being blocked at the Rafah crossing by Israel while people literally die of starvation a short distance away. There's nothing about this that should be happening.

ISRAELI BOMBING CAMPAIGN CONTINUES, OCCUPATION FORCES MOBILIZED ALONG BORDER WITH RAFAH

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have mobilized a force outside the Gaza Strip large enough for a full-scale invasion of the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, where more than a million Palestinians have been displaced and crammed into tent cities.

That's according to two American officials who spoke with US media outlet ABC News.

The official told ABC that American intelligence officials have assessed the Israeli occupation army has amassed a force large enough for a full-scale invasion of the Rafah Governate, Gaza's southernmost governate, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians remain displaced, most living in tents crammed together outside the city of Rafah.

According to one of the American officials, the US doesn't have a timeline for a potential invasion, and are not certain if the Netanyahu regime has made a final decision on the looming assault.

At the same time, Israeli colonial settlers protesting outside Hebron at the Turqumiya crossing have blocked humanitarian aid trucks from entering the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli occupation continued to keep the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem border crossings closed to all humanitarian aid convoys for the 11th consecutive day. This ensures Palestinians in Gaza will continue to face extreme food insecurity.

As a result of the continued blocking of Gaza's border crossings to any and all aid, the enclave's hospitals are rapidly running out of medical supplies and fuel for electricity generators.

In a statement issued by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), the medical organization warned of a "deterioration of humanitarian conditions" resulting from the closure of Gaza's border crossings.

Calling the Rafah crossing the "main artery supply to the entire Gaza Strip," the organization warned that the prevention of the entry of humanitarian aid, food, fuel and medical supplies "poses an imminent humanitarian and health disaster."

The statement warns that "famine is imminent" due to the depletion of local food stocks, while the "continued seven-month-long aggression and displacement of more than 85% of the population" has led the Palestinian population to suffer "severe levels of food insecurity" amid severe humanitarian aid shortages, which PRCS calls a "clear violation" of international humanitarian law.

Under International humanitarian law, an occupying power is fully responsible for securing and providing for the basic needs of the occupied population.

"Furthermore, the continued prevention by the occupation of fuel entry threatens the complete collapse of the healthcare system, and shutdown of the remaining hospitals if fuel is not provided for power generators, ambulances, water desalination stations, and sewage networks," the PRCS statement added.

Meanwhile, as the Palestinian population continues to starve, and as Palestinian hospitals in Gaza face the threat of closure due to a lack of fuel and supplies, the Israeli occupation forces continued to bomb and shell various areas of the Strip, with intense airstrikes particularly focused on the Rafah and Jabalia areas.

As a result of the intense bombardment, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) warned today that more than 600'000 Palestinians have been displaced from Rafah since the beginning of IOF operations in the area.

In a statement posted to the social media platform X explaining the situation, UNRWA stated that “76 years after the Nakba, Palestinians are still being subjected to forced displacement.”

“In the Gaza Strip, 600,000 people have been displaced from Rafah since the intensification of Israeli military operations," the agency added.

In one example of the Israeli occupation's cruelty, Zionist warplanes bombed a residential home belonging to the Al-Halqawi family, behind the Rabaa School in central Rafah, killing several civilians and wounding a number of others.

Meanwhile, another Palestinian was killed after being shot with live bullets by the occupation army. The murdered civilian was transported to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, where he was pronounced dead.

Elsewhere, Israeli fighter jets bombed a gathering of civilians on the intersection of Al-Jalaa and Al-Oyoun streets in Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of at least 3 civilians and wounding dozens of others.

Casualties were transported to the Baptist Hospital where several remain in critical condition.

At the same time, in yet another strike, an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft fired a missile into a civilian vehicle in the Al-Faluja area, west of the Jabalia Refugee Camp, in the north of Gaza, killing three civilians and wounding several others.

A number of civilians were also killed following an occupation bombing of residential house in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, while another citizen was killed after IOF warplanes bombed Aed Al-Bashiti Street in central Rafah.

Earlier in the day, a Palestinian truck driver carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip was severely wounded after being beaten while attempting to pass through a checkpoint near the colonial settlement of Beit El.

According to reports, the driver was pulled from the vehicle and severely beaten before colonists set fire to part of the truck and its contents while continuing to block aid vehicles from passing through to the Gaza Strip.

The driver was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to local medical sources, at least 60 civilians were killed, and another 80 wounded, in 6 massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army over the last day.

As a result of the Israeli occupation's ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the current death toll now exceeds 35'233 Palestinians killed, while another 79'141 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression, beginning with the events of October 7th, 2023.

But not only are they taking away their access to food this way, they are also withholding medication, menstruation products, and all other basic necessities the the people of Gaza simply do not have and desperately need right now. I grew up eating dandelion tea, pita made from nettles and sugar between bread which was carefully cut up and shared equally between all 20 of us living in one 3 bedroom apartment during the Bosnian Genocide. You know nothing of what it means to be hungry. I refused the aid food. It is infuriating to watch as some of the world’s most privileged people speak about war zones and people enduring a genocide. You know absolutely fucking NOTHING about what it means to be starving, being bombed mercilessly, massacred due to your identity. Women in Bosnia would still dress up every single day during the genocide. They would put on their make-up and their favourites clothes. It was an act of resistance in the midst of a brutal genocide. If you guessed a large portion of it ends up in the oceans, you’d be correct. Sadly, U.S. laws do not do enough to protect our bodies of water. It allows cruise ships to dump waste into the ocean as long as the ships are more than three and a half miles offshore. That means that dirty water from sinks and showers and laundry facilities are discharged into the water. It means that waste from toilets is discharged into the water. And it also means that food waste is also dumped into the ocean.

No matter your stance on self-immolation, we have to recognise the circumstances that led to more extreme forms of protest being necessary or seen as necessary in the first place.
