listening to so much twilight content was poisoning my brain with mormon vampire disease so i read half of FLEDGLING by octavia butler today and it completely cured me. first butler ive read in years but ive never read a book of hers that didn't absolutely whip and this is no exception; standout vampire mechanics that manage to be inventive and unique while somehow remaining entirely logical from an evolutionary standpoint.. anyway. the point of this post is what is everyone else reading to set the mood for october because i am interested to know
