Please understand you are in no danger here, and you will be kept in comfort and privilege in concession to your status as Kal-El’s soulmate.” Uraa pauses and looks at him a little nervously, awaiting his response. Bruce blinks at them. “Excuse me,” he says, finally. “I think your translator must be malfunctioning. Kal-El’s what?”

Prompt: @brucewayneweek Day 1 - Doctor Bruce

Pairing: None

C/W: None

Summary: Bruce had taken Richard to that magic show in an attempt at some bonding, wanting to break the ice with Wayne manor's newest resident. Said attempt quite literally went up in flames. So, when Richard finds him in his study to have a chat, Bruce is expecting the boy to request more time, more space. Richard does have a request, but it is not what Bruce was expecting.

Perhaps a silly question, but how do the Bruce Wayne week prompts work? Do you just use three in a row or is it pick and choose per day?

I believe you usually pick one per day depending on the days you’d like to participate (I don’t think there’s any requirements but I could be wrong)

Weekly Fic Recs 30 and 31

Howdy! I'm back from my vacation! And all I got was cherished family memories, a farmer's tan, and Lyme disease (don't worry, I am on drugs for it, lol. Ticks were thick were I was at). Since I didn't have a fic rec list for last week, I'm making a longer one for this week. Although, this will be the easiest fic rec list that I've made because majority of what I have been reading has been from @brucewayneweek!! There were so many good fics to read! It was also inspired by the below fic as well (WHICH YOU SHOULD ALSO READ). Clark is taken captive by Lex early on, and is given a smol Kon to take care of. SO MANY FEELS.

onward, lonesome hero (carry on, carry on) by hoebiwan - Clark Kent, complete. Clark is taken captive by Lex early on in his life and does his bidding. The Justice League captures him. Much angst, but a happy ending.

Can You Hear Me? by Mawiiish - Superbat, complete. This was a fic in the World's Finest Zine!! And it is SO GOOD. Superman and Batman learn each other's identities when Batman and Nightwing get into some trouble.

Just A Little Bit... by HaleHathNoFury (My_Trex_has_fleas) - Superbat, wip. More of the creepy alien Clark and eldritch Bruce fic. Ivy and Harley are also there AND I LOVE THEM.

a near defacement by TheResurrectionist - Batman, complete. The JL interact with a meta that can control metal, which mess with Bruce's past medical implants, oh no! :(

The Dad Life by Lulu_Ryhmea - Bruce Wayne, complete. Bruce and Roy Harper bond over being dads.

Damn, that was still a lot of fics on top of the BWW stuff. I got a lot of reading done on vacation!

Suggest things SPECIFIC to Jason and Steph - try to avoid the typical generic event prompts. What makes JaySteph unique? How can we celebrate that in our event and inspire our creators?

See @brucewayneweek for good examples of character-specific prompts in an event for ideas. Tailored to JaySteph, prompts could include things like classic literature - annoying Bruce - the All-Swords - waffles - motorcycles

Ideal prompts would work for either platonic OR romantic/NSFW JaySteph - (ex: a hot ride = on a motorcycle or … 😏😏😏) However, prompts that are specifically tailored to romance or NSFW can still be submitted.
