**Aye Warning: this is PG 13 - little raunchy at the end *
You and your fellow agents sat around the round table in the conference room. A new case had come to light, JJ gathering you all before you even had time to sit down at your desk. Fresh coffee sat in front of you and just the smell brought comfort. You glanced around the table, missing one of your agents. Spencer. Usually he beat you to work every morning, reprimanding and teasing you about it.
“If you’d drink the coffee here instead of stopping every morning on your way to work, you’d actually be on time and beat me here.” Spencer teases following you through the glass double doors. He was in his usual work attire - slacks and a button up. His hair a curly mess. His messenger bag hung over his shoulder.
You turned around to face him, walking backwards a few steps and made a face, mocking him, “I’m not drinking that tap water you all call coffee.” You saluted your coffee cup toward him, “I will always be late for a nice, fresh cup of coffee.”
“Where’s Spencer?” You asked, sipping on your coffee and flipping open the case file JJ tossed in front of you.
She took a moment to glance around the room, perplexed Spencer wasn’t here yet. “I actually don’t know.” She peeked out the window overlooking the rest of the office, “Usually he beats you here.”
JJ went on with the meeting, turning on the TV screen to show pictures of the crime scene and now the next missing and possible victim.
“Sorry I’m late-” Spencer says, out of breath as he enters the room in a rush. “I had an appointment and it ran later than expected -” He tosses his bag on the ground with a thud, sitting down and oblivious to the surprised looks from his fellow agents.
Glasses. Spencer was wearing glasses. Your jaw dropped at this new sight, the pen you were chewing on, hanging against your lips. You wouldn’t disagree, Spencer Reid was a very attractive man. I mean you’d admitted that multiple times, but he was also your coworker. A relationship with a coworker could create a rocky atmosphere for the BAU.
He always been an eye candy to look at, however, this new look tossed you over the edge, changing something inside you. You needed him. His touch, his lips against yours. You were overwhelmed with such affection and adoration. Where was this coming from? Immediately your mind went dirty, your face flushed with embarrassment at having those thoughts, scared someone else could hear them.
Spencer met your eyes from across the table, a new twinkle in his eye, “What did I miss?” He’d noticed the effect he had on you, he could read you like a book.
You couldn’t even look him the eye. God what was this man doing to you. A wave of warmth was felt through your body; spreading to your core as new fantasies come to light. A dark mahogany desk... Spencer in a button up, loosening the tie around his neck. Oh god. You sat up quickly as if you were just touched by a hot poker and composed yourself, “JJ was just telling us about the last victims who were found-” Your eyes pleadingly glanced at JJ and the screen behind her.
“Right anyways-”
Everyone had settled into their seats on the jet and you stood, slipping behind the curtain to grab a water bottle from the mini fridge. When you stood back up, you were met with Spencer’s chest, “Shit--Spencer.”
“Did I scare you?” He smiles in triumph, “You’re so jumpy.” He tilted his head as he observed the change in you.
You stepped out of the way as Spencer reached for mini fridge, fumbling for an excuse. “Watched a scary movie last night.”
He hums in response turning to face you, the small countertop digging into your back as you tried to put enough space between you and Spencer. “Which movie?” He glances back over his shoulder, checking the curtain is closed.
You glanced around him as well, wondering what he was looking for, but finally meeting his eyes, “oh you know.. I think it was scream?”
He closes the space between the two of you, slipping his hands behind you and  placing them firmly on the countertop behind you.
“Spencer!” A quiet gasp escaped your lips as his body pressed against yours.
“Shhh...” He places his index against your lips as he leans in close, the smell of his aftershave and minty breath hitting you in a wave. His breath is hot against your neck as his lips dance along your neck.
Your entire body submits to his touch. oh god.
“Wouldn’t want them to know what we’ve been up to these last couple months, now would we?”

The night had fallen upon your home before you had known it, the twinkling stars gazing down at you, the full moon’s brightness fully mocking your somnolence. You could no longer stay up for him, no matter how much you tried. You had waited for long before sleep was beginning to overtake your body, and you knew this was another night you’d go without being able to see your husband.
Your husband was Eraserhead to the world, but at home, he was Shouta to you. Your Shouta. The two of you were heroes, after all, that was how the two of you met. You knew the long nights that came with the job, especially with him being a teacher as well.
Dressed in a thin two-piece set, in a pale baby blue, you lay on your bed, covered in your warm sheets, with nothing but the sounds of your automated fan blowing cool air into your room, combatting the heated summer night outside. With school out, and your husband only getting a reduced check from his main source of income, he had no choice but to join up in nightly patrols, his main specialty when it comes to hero work.
The two of you found each other while working patrols late at night, you being a new transfer from a faraway city on the outskirts of Japan, where natural disasters were then likely to occur.
“Eraserhead, what kind of name is that?” Your smile was wide, contagious even.
The two of you stood in an alleyway, with him hanging upside down from it, his eyes obscured by the bulky yellow goggles he constantly wore.
“Trust me, I was definitely not the one to make it.” His voice was deep and grave, it slightly echoed through the alley.
“That means whoever made the name must have been pretty special huh?”
It was silent for a moment, and for a moment, you thought you hit a nerve, anxiety rising within you.
“Yeah, I guess you can say they were.”
You gleaned up at him, seeing some semblance of a smile on his face. This caused your own smile to widen slightly, standing up straight.
Your marriage was a private one, one with family and friends only, a short, quiet, and intimate event. The two of you only had a week off for your honeymoon, during the time of which students were out for school to not mess with his schedule. The two of you are extremely busy, with his job as a hero course teacher and of course your own as a rescue and natural disasters hero. The two of you barely had time for each other, easily taking what you could with each other. You knew what came with dating and eventually marrying another hero, especially with someone like your Shouta.
You lay across the bed, sighing as you relaxed into the comfort of the comforters, onto the softness of the mattress. Closing your eyes, hoping to bring a new day, hopefully with your husband’s arms comfortably snug around your waist.
— — — —
You heard a squeak first.
Your eyes barely cracked open, still heavy with sleep, as the squeaking sound got louder and longer for a moment and then stopped altogether. You didn’t move, your heart racing and beating drums within your chest as the sound of muffled footsteps got closer and closer to your bed. You could hear ruffling, like clothes were being moved before the familiar fresh scent of mahogany and lavender, your body relaxing as you did so. You opened your eyes a little bit further, being able to see the clock on your bedside table, seeing the number 2:34 glowing from the digital clock. This was a first, you never woke up when he came home from patrols, you always found yourself being wrapped up in his arms when you woke up in the morning. You tried to find the confines of sleep, hoping to easily slip into it, knowing you’ll wake up in your husband’s arms once more.
Creaakkk…
His footsteps got closer and closer, his scent slowly gaining intensity as something within went off, like chilling tingles crawling up your spine. You could feel his eyes staring holes into you, possibly scanning your entire form wrapped up in your blankets. A familiar tingling sensation began to erupt and spread through you. It had been months since the last time he touched you, the two of you being completely swamped with work. Suddenly, the bedframe creaked, as you felt the mattress underneath you slightly dip. He was so close to you, his knee grazing up against your back, the blanket being the only thing that kept the two of you lightly touching. Droplets of water, possibly from his shower that he took when you were still deep in sleep, dripped down onto you, feeling the cool, wet spots from your blanket. You kept yourself as still as possible, sleep still dancing in your eyes. And then, all of a sudden, he crouched down, the bed creaking along as he did.
It took all your self-control not to gasp as you felt his erection pressing up against you. Even with the blanket, you could still feel it. You held back the slight gasp out a slight moan as he pushed his hip in between your bottom. He let out a hefty groan, his head falling right beside your own, his lips right next to your ear as he did. You could feel yourself clenching around nothing, feeling yourself beginning to drip down your thighs and stain your thin shorts. All of your self-control was slipping piece by piece, your body aching and wanting for him. Your breathing became shaky, you know he could hear it, and yet he continued his actions. You could feel his lips slowly press up kisses along your cheek and jawline. His nose nestled itself in between your ear and your hairline that peeked from the night-time scarf you wore, before taking a deep breath in, taking your freshly washed scent, your body wash, as well as your nighttime hair products.
“You smell so good,” his voice wasn't strained, as if he was holding back as well.
“I missed you so much,” he spoke again, the bed creaking again as he moved, his hands beginning to move down, thumbing along the hemline of your shorts.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been here as much, snowflake,” he mumbled in your ear, his hand now officially slipping down into your shorts.
His fingers slipped in between your legs, two of his fingers easily spreading your lips apart, cool air hitting your clit, causing your body to tremble ever so slightly. Your mouth is slightly agape, drool slowly dripping out of your mouth onto your pillow. His fingers easily spilled into the mess in between your legs, pressing up against your clit. Carefully, he massaged circles into you, every movement slow and deliberate, as if he didn’t want to wake you. He probably didn’t wake you up. You had just gotten home from aiding a beach town devastated by a hurricane, pulling people out from rubble, and creating emergency service tents.
“I know you just got back, but I…” he trailed off on his words as his fingers slipped further down, sliding in between your labia.
“I can’t hold myself back, fuck.”
Your husband sounded so pretty, his voice straining every syllable as his hips ground more and more into you. By now, your shorts were a mess, and your underwear soaked with your juices. No longer able to hold yourself back, you softly pushed your hips back against his fingers, and hard-on. He most definitely felt your movements, letting out a massive groan as his dick twitched underneath his boxers.
“Naughty girl, such a slut even in your sleep…” his chuckle echoed against your bedroom walls, as his fingers dipped in even further, one of them pressing into your hole.
“Everytime I have to stay away from you, whether it be my job, or your own job, I can feel myself descending into madness–” his words suddenly cut off with a guttural groan, his hips suddenly giving off a sharp thrust.
“I am obsessed with you, you know that right?”
Tears dripped down your eyes, staining your pillows as his words enchanted you, sending great shocks of ecstasy through you. You could feel yourself trembling, only aching for him more and more. His own boxers were sticky with pre-cum, you could feel it oozing onto your satin shorts, slowly mixing in with your own soaked juices. His hand slowly pulled themselves away from your cunt, the sudden loss of pleasure causing your emotions to deflate before feeling that very same hand pulling at the hem of your shorts. You kept as still as possible as his large hands pulled your shorts down around your ankles, revealing your wet pussy.
“Agh, fuck,” is all he could say as he suddenly sat up for a moment.
You could hear shuffling in the background, most likely him taking off his boxers, hearing some kind of fabric being thrown in the air and landing on the floor. You felt his hands back on you, before feeling the tip of cock press up against your cunt, slipping and sliding in between your lips, gathering some of your juices. With a final swipe, before you knew it, you felt him press the tip at your pussy, your body trembling as he began to push it.
“Baby, baby fuck–”
He pushed himself deeper into you, your eyes squeezed shut, your cunt throbbing around him.
“Missed you, missed you so fucking much,”
You had never heard him ramble like that, his usually deep gravelly voice seeped in desperation. His hands gripped at the meat of your thigh, holding your place as he rutted his hips into you. Your lips parted, and the entire area underneath them was drenched with sweat. Your hands tightly squeeze the comforter. The heat was overtaking you, a violent intensity grappling at you. Your thoughts that once ran wild soon became filled with one thought, Shouta. Everything about him was different, the way his voice hit your ears, each syllable easily ripping a new reaction out of you. It was only a matter of time before you lost control before he knew you were awake, feeling everything he was doing to you.
“My wife, my pretty wife,” he groaned, his hands moving up and about.
“How could I fucking stay away from you?”
With his strength, he moved you about with ease. You no longer lay at your side, but instead, your knees dug into the mattress, your stomach lying against the bed. He pressed his hand against your back, your back arching up against him. He never pulled his cock out of you, staying snug inside you as he positioned you to where he wanted you to be.
As soon as you were in position, he held no mercy towards you. Pounding away at you, like a man with nothing else to live for at that moment but to ravage you. Tears welled in your eyes as absolute euphoric pleasure took over you, it came as quick as lighting. With the sudden overload on your senses, your control over your actions snapped.
A moan slipped out of your lips, the sound causing him to falter for just a moment. With the wet sound of skin against skin, he leaned down once more, moving his long hair out of his face, finally allowing him to see the tears streaming down your face, your eyes slightly opened, rolled to the back of your head, mouth agape with spit dripping down.
One of Shouta’s hands stayed at your hips while the other suddenly reached down, wrapping around underneath your chin, pulling your body upwards with ease. Your hands propped you up as he pulled your head back, your eyes locking. The position allowed you to see just how frenzied your husband looked. His thick fat cock plunging mg into you, each movement only escalating him more and more.
“How long have you been awake sweetheart? Huh, liked what I was doing to you? Hmm?”
You tried to speak, but the only thing that could slip out of your mouth was pleas if you could even call it that.
“Daddy, Daddy-fuck, it’s too–fuck!” You screeched, gripping at the pillow as your eyes squeezed shut, overcome by the sudden frenzied thrusts your husband was sending your way.
“Dirty little slut, letting me think you were asleep ? How long were you awake for?”
For a moment, you couldn’t answer him, only focused on the effervescent volcano building up within you. All of a sudden, his thrusts slowed down, causing you to whine as you looked back at his teary eyes.
“I asked you, how long have you been awake?”
“Since the moment—ahh– you walked in! Since the moment, you walked in, please don’t stop fucking me, Daddy!”
Shouta suddenly pulled all the way out, your cunt only squeezing around the tip of his fat cock, before slamming it back into you, almost hitting and bruising your cervix. Both you and his own moans and groans echoed into the air, mixing together in a beautiful melody. His hand left your chin, your body flopping forward for a couple seconds before suddenly feeling your arms being jerked back. Your moans became scream-like as he grabbed at both of your wrists, suddenly pulling your arms back.
“Fuck,” he cursed, hissing as he pummeled into you, “so fucking tight–huh, you like the way I fuck you, huh?”
You could barely get any words out, shaking your head vigorously, clenching around him. Every plunge into your cunt devoured you, your husband’s moans and groans had your body trembling. His growls reverberated within your ears, only causing your body to curl in pleasure.
“I said,” he suddenly cut into your thoughts, your body jerking up even further, “you like the way I fuck you, slut”
“Yes, daddy!”
Shouta’s chuckle was deep, and his thrusts only overwhelmed you even further. You relished in the way your skin took the pain, feeling the bloom and sting tingle all over you. If you could blush, you knew the bottom of your thighs would be blooming red. Your tongue lolled out of your mouth, your eyes rolling out the back of your head. All of a sudden, Shouta dropped your arms, your body flopping, back arching into the bed as his hands gripped at the flesh at your hips and butt. His thrusts became erratic in nature, his already broken-down composure crumbling even further. You could hear his breathy words, soaking in the neediness laced within them.
“Missed you so fucking much, my wife– my fucking wife.”
“Look so fucking pretty, so fucking senstive f’ me.”
“Missed this pretty fucking pussy, hate how much I have to leave you–fuck!”
Shouta’s body lurched, towering over your own. You could feel his sweat dripping down from his body, falling like light rain into your almost bareback, your thin night-top crumpled up at your bosom. Your hands crumpled up the blankets and sheets underneath you, the feeling of your tongue slightly grazing against the fabric. Your words soon dulled out, the only thing on your tongue was your monas and coherent words putting together the title you called him in bed. You could feel your cunt tightening up around him, like a ticking time bomb going off within you.
“Such a sweet fucking pussy– fuck–” his body suddenly lunched, the bruising grip he had on your hip tightening.
Your body convulsed, shaking in his hold as your mind went blank white, tears streaking out of your eyes as your climax ripped out of you, your juices spilling and ripping all over him.
“Daddy!—”  your final words cut, your voice echoing against the white walls of your room.
With a final grunt, you felt your husband slump over, feeling his dick twitching inside of you, painting your walls white. Soon, the only thing you could hear was the sounds of your heavy breathing, both your and Shouta’s as well. You let out a whimper as you felt him pull out his cock out of you, leaving you with withdrawal. Without him letting go of your hips, your legs fully slumped onto the wet bed. With hands still around you, shrieking as he swept you up from the bed. You held onto him as your husband slowly got off the bed, turning your head to see him slip into your bedroom’s bathroom, using one hand to turn the light on. He placed you on the toilet, before walking to your sink. You couldn't help the soft smile that slowly appeared on your face as you heard the faucet turn on.
He walked back over with a rag, slowly opening up your legs as you both felt and saw your cum mixed with his, dripping down your inner thigh. He moved the warm rag against your skin, letting out a short gasp as he grazed the rag against your sensitive cunt, cleaning up the main source of the mess. You heard your husband let out a breath of a chuckle, seeing a ghost of a smirk etched on his face. Your soft smile turned abashed as your hand reached up, smacking him slightly on his shoulder. Your brick house of a husband didn’t even flinch from your smack, continuing to clean you up. Soon you could feel nothing but the touch of water on your legs. Once finished, your husband slowly pulled your soaked shorts down the rest of the way, before tossing them into your laundry hamper. With nothing else, he carried you back to the bed.
The two of you slipped underneath the sheets, his arm easily wrapping your waist as he pulled you close. You had no use of the pillows, using your husband’s naked chest, humming at the warmth that radiated off of his body. Before you knew it, you had laid a soft kiss against the beefy shoulder of your husband, before snuggling back into him. You both heard and felt him move, smiling as you felt a soft pressure against the top of your head, feeling the sensation of lips. With that, you drifted off to sleep, slowly hearing your own husband’s snores echo into her.

His lips trace your neck in gentle kisses, body still glued to yours, sweat glistening on his skin. The sheets on your bed are soaked, but you don’t mind as his body is on top of yours and he looks down at you with his beautiful brown eyes and smiles softly.
“You okay?” he asks, stroking his thumb on your cheek, looking into your eyes. You lean in and kiss him, the dizziness from your pleasure fading away.
“Yes,” you answer, smiling, “that was amazing, as always.”
Nanami laughs softly, a light shade of pink painting his cheekbones.
“Come on, let's clean up.”
It's been five months since you've been seeing your coworker, Kento Nanami.
It's easy to be with Nanami, you found out. He doesn't mind your unorganized self. He doesn't care if your makeup is smudged or if your hair is tangled. He even told you he liked it. Although you have to pretend nothing is happening between you and him at work, he often gives you rides back home at the end of the day. He invites you out often, and takes you to the fanciest restaurants in the city, usually at night.
“Will you stay the night?” You ask as he pulls you up by the wrists.
He looks at you and seems to think for a moment.
“I can't. Sorry.”
You can see his shoulders sag a little as your heart sinks.
“Okay.” You whisper and stand up, walking towards your bathroom. Then, he calls your name, making you turn around to face him. His brown eyes meet yours, almost taking your breath away.
Nanami opens his mouth, then closes it. It's clear that he's nervous, that he wants to say something, but he just sighs quietly.
“Are you okay?” He asks again.
A smile spreads across your lips, even though you want to cry. “Of course.”
You watch as he nods and then enters the bathroom.
He never stays the night. He never invites you to his apartment either. He never asks you out during the week, or on your days off.
I wouldn't be surprised if he had a wife.
The thought makes you gasp out loud, the sound covered by the water of the shower. But what if he had a wife and you're just his mistress? What if he had a family, someone waiting for him every night while he fucks you into oblivion in your bed?
You suddenly feel sick. You have to ask him, you have to know. It makes too much sense. It would explain why he never takes you to a picnic, or invites you to lunch.
When you leave the bathroom, hair up in a bun and a soft towel wrapped around you, you see that he changed the sheets and made your bed while you were in the shower. He's dressing his clothes in a hurry, phone in hand.
“You're not gonna shower?” you ask, watching as he hastily buttons his shirt.
“No, sorry. Something came up.” He says, looking up at you.
You look at the clock on your nightstand. It's two in the morning. What does he mean something came up? Your heart only sinks further. No words are exchanged while he finishes dressing and gives you a kiss, before leaving.
“I'll call you tomorrow, alright?” he says at your doorstep. Tomorrow is Saturday.
You nod, “Take care.”
After he leaves, you put on the massive t-shirt you call pajamas and hop into your bed.
It's only when you rest your head on the pillow, that the tears come.
He doesn't call you all weekend. And doesn't show up at work on Monday.
You resist the urge to text him. Part of you doesn't want him to be in trouble with his hypothetical wife, even though he's the one who's allegedly cheating. The thoughts drown you and you can’t focus on your work.
On Tuesday, he shows up looking like death. Dark, deep, bags are under his eyes and an exhausted look on his face. He doesn’t meet your eyes, not right away. It doesn’t soothe your anxieties when a coworker teases you about wearing mismatched shoes to work – your head was so jumbled in the morning that you didn’t realize you grabbed two similar shoes that belonged to different pairs – and he interrupts the interaction, telling them to go back to work.
Later, near your usual smoke break, you get a text message from him.
You okay?
Swallowing, you take a deep breath, trying to push away all doubts and questions, you type an answer:
Yeah. Meet me at the roof in 10?
Of course.
When you push the door to the roof open, he’s already there. The sunlight momentarily blinds you, a contrast to the artificial lights of the office. You walk towards him, hands shaking. He looks at you, once you’re near enough, and smiles, letting out a relieved breath. His hands reach for you, pulling into a tight embrace. It’s like he’s relieved to finally get a moment alone with you. It warms your heart and it makes you forget about your worries for a second.
“You didn’t call,” you say, wrapping your arm around his neck.
“I’m sorry.” He buries his face on your neck, inhaling your scent. The scent of your deodorant and something he can’t describe, but it smells like you , “Had a family emergency. This weekend was crazy.”
“Oh.”
A family emergency.
That could mean anything. Maybe his brother was in an accident, or his grandmother tripped and fell, or his cousin got sick, or… Or he has a family, and you’re just a secret. Just a way for Nanami to release his stress from work and then go back to the family waiting for him, lie in bed with the woman he actually loves.
Your eyes sting with unshed tears and you hear your own voice asking,
“Are you married?”
Nanami’s body tenses before he releases you, searching your eyes.
“What?”
“Are you married?” You repeat, vision going blurry now. When he doesn't respond, you continue, “I mean, you– you never stay the night,” great, now you’re sobbing, “and you never invite me to come over, and– and–” your eyes are like an open faucet, “and you didn’t call me on Sunday and didn’t come yesterday, so, please, if I’m just your mistress, please tell me.” You sob, wiping your nose with the sleeve of your cardigan, “Please.”
Kento cups your cheek and wipes your tears, looking into your eyes.
“I’m not married,” he responds and then pulls you in a hug, kissing your hair and tucking your head under his chin, “I’m sorry my actions made you believe I was.”
You sniffle, feeling stupid now, “Okay.”
After a brief pause, he speaks again, “Would you like to come over tonight? For dinner?”
You look at him, pulling away from his embrace, “Kento, I didn’t mean–”
“I know.” He interrupts you, “I still want you to come.”
Nanami’s eyes are warm and he doesn’t care that you’re a snotty mess right now. So you nod, looking away from his perfect face. He pinches your chin gently, bringing your gaze back to him and then presses his lips against yours. Your heart leaps.
He’s never kissed you in the office before. Well, technically, you’re outside, but he never showed a sign of affection like this out of fear someone would catch the both of you. Somehow, you’re not worried about that.
“Meet me at the garage floor when you clock out.”
“I’d like you to meet someone,” Nanami says, as you click your seatbelt off.
The ride to his apartment was filled with soft conversation, but when you entered the apartment complex garage, he spoke with a careful voice, as if he was afraid of your reaction.
“Oh?” You wonder what's this about, since he said he wasn't married.
He leads you to the elevator and presses the button to the second to last floor, placing a hand on your lower back. Your heart is hammering inside your chest, as you get closer to his apartment. Then he guides you to the door, inserting a key and opening it.
“Papa!” a flash of pink hair runs towards Kento and hugs his legs.
“You're home early– oh.” A second voice makes you look up from the little boy attached to Nanami.
A teenage boy with dark hair stares at you. Then, Nanami calls your name.
“This is Yuuji, my son,” he says, “and that's Choso, his brother.”
You don't know where to look. To the little boy in Kento’s arms, or to the grumpy teenager that's staring with suspicious eyes at you. Nanami then introduces you to the boys. Yuuji smiles politely, but you can tell he's a bit shy.
“Um… hi,” you say, looking at them.
Choso scoffs, “That explains a lot.”
“Choso–” Nanami starts but the boy just waves a hand at him.
“Yeah,  I know. I have to go, though. Got too much homework to do and this little devil kept me busy.” He ruffles his brother's hair who giggles. Then he looks at you, “Nice to meet you. Your shoes are mismatched.”
You look down at your feet, even though you know you have different shoes.
“Choso.” Nanami sighs, “Be nice to your mother.”
The boy just waves a hand at him. You look back at Nanami and Yuuji.
“Do you want to come in?” He asks, smiling. Yuuji looks at you curiously, but still apprehensive, clinging to his dad's shirt and tilting his head until it rests on Nanami’s shoulder.
Oh, fuck.
You feel so stupid right now. He clearly has a family, but he doesn't have… a wife? Choso has a mother, so he’s only Nanami’s? Then why is he leaving?
Sensing your confusion, Nanami touches your arm. “I'll explain everything. Come inside.”
For some reason, you oblige. His apartment is big as you enter the foyer and observe the living room.
“You have to take your shoes off.” Yuuji’s voice stops you from taking another step into the apartment. You look at him, surprised.
“Of course,” you answer, toeing off your – mismatched – heels, revealing the chipped black nail polish on your toenails.
Should you have dressed better for this? Maybe if he told you beforehand…
No, this isn't fair on him. You're the one who cornered him and asked about his personal life.
“Are you feeling better?” Nanami's voice is soft as he talks to his son, walking inside the apartment. It hardly seems like the man who talks obscenities to you in bed.
Suddenly, you feel like an intruder. His home is clean, neat, save from a few toys on the living room floor. The open kitchen is pristine, it seems like the counters and stove were cleaned with one of those expensive products your mom used to use at home. The massive TV is turned on, on some children's program.
Panic sets in your throat. He has a son, a family. And you’ve… you've never wanted kids. You're not good with them, they don't smile at you when you talk to them, always hiding behind their parents. You're too serious, too stiff, for them.
Kento calls your name and you look up at him, blurry vision. He's got a concerned look on his face.
“Yuuji, why don't you go get your new shoes to show our guest?” He sets the kid down, who nods and runs to another room – his bedroom, you suppose. Kento approaches you, gently taking your hand and maintaining eye contact with you.
“I'm sorry,” he says, “I should've told you.”
“No, no!” You're quick to say, “I– I shouldn't have…”
“Asked?” he finishes the sentence for you, “Sweet girl, it’s perfectly understandable why you asked.”
Your heart skips a beat at the endearing name. He cups your cheek, pressing his lips on your forehead.
“Kento… I’m not good with kids…”
He smiles at you, “Don’t worry. You’ll find out that Yuuji is easy to impress.”
As if on cue, Yuuji runs back to the living room and ends up tripping on his own feet, falling to the ground. You gasp, expecting tears, but he just stands up and resumes his run to you.
“Look!” He stomps on the floor and his shoes light up, colorful lights blinking.
You raise your brows, actually impressed by them.
“Oh, wow. That's… actually kinda cool.”
Nanami smiles softly at you, even though you're not looking. You didn't force a baby voice, or crouched down to meet Yuuji's eyes, but the sincerity in your voice is real.
“What do you want to eat?” Kento asks you, carefully.
“Ramen!” Yuuji says, giving you a toothy grin.
Nanami snorts, scooping him up quickly. “I didn't ask you !”
Yuuji giggles loudly as his father holds him upside down, Nanami smiling at the sound. You've never seen him smile like that.
“Ramen is fine, actually,” you say and they stop, looking at you for a second before Kento puts Yuuji down.
“Go put your toys away, Yuuji.” He commands, voice soft and calm. Looking back at you, the man approaches, hesitantly takes your hands, and pulls you further inside the apartment, “He got sick on the weekend. I had Choso take care of him, but he got worse on Saturday night and we had to rush him to urgent care.”
You feel your eyes widening, eyeing the kid gathering his toys in the living room.
“His fever broke yesterday morning, but I decided to take the day off just to be sure.” Nanami continued.
“Oh.” If you felt stupid before, now you feel like an idiot. The guilt blooms inside your chest, making you swallow hard and look away. And, with a tiny voice, one you don’t expect him to hear, you say, “I’m such an idiot.”
To your surprise, he laughs softly, cupping your cheeks and kissing your eyebrow.
“You aren’t.” He pulls you in an embrace, “You couldn’t have known.”
“I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions, though.” Your voice is muffled against the fabric of his suit. Nanami’s fingers intertwine in your hair, so, so gently. So different from what you’ve experienced with him. The action makes a soft, fuzzy feeling jump inside you.
“It’s alright.” He then pulls away from you and smiles. “I would’ve too.”
You blink at him as he turns around and enters the open kitchen, leaving you to think about his words. If the situation was reversed, if you had a kid that the man you were hooking up with didn’t know about it, you’d be sure he wouldn’t bat an eyelash about it.
But you’re talking about Kento Nanami here.
The stoic, cold faced, man that is your coworker. The man who always focuses on the tasks that need to be done. The man that’s showing you he cares, that he’s soft, a totally different side of him, and, little by little, tearing down the walls around your heart, making you feel… special.
A little hand pulling on yours interrupts your train of thought and you look down to see Yuuji pulling you to the living room.
“Do you want to see my new toys?” He asks, already urging you to sit down in front of the coffee table.
“S-sure.” You look back at Nanami, but his back is turned to the living room.
There are a bunch of plastic toys scattered on the table: little trucks and cars, plastic bugs and dinosaurs and a few superhero figurines. He looks very proud of his collection, smiling and looking at your reaction as he shows you the things his dad and big brother gave to him.
Then, he hands you a toy phone. You reluctantly pick it up.
“Nanamis’ office, how can I help you?” You say into the fake phone, making Yuuji laugh, “oh, he’s not available right now, his schedule is pretty tight– Sir, please calm down, no need to yell.” Yuuji laughs more, but your face is so serious that Kento wonders how you do it, “Alright, sir, I’ll ask, just a moment.” You place a hand on the ‘receiver’ and look back at Yuuji, “Sorry, Yuuji, but Mark from sales wants to speak with you, do you have time?” he has a toothy grin plastered on his face. You resume your fake conversation, “Uh, he’s really busy, doing important things, you’ll have to call later. Would you like to leave a message?”
A deep laugh interrupts your play and you look up to see Kento smiling at you. Your cheeks burn as you put the fake phone down.
“You’re funny.” Yuuji says, leaning on your side. You look back at him.
“Thank you.”
Kento, then, places a sousplat on the coffee table, following with a bowl of ramen in front of you. He does the same for him and Yuuji, warning the boy about the temperature. The little boy sits between you and Kento, happily grabbing the spoon and scooping the warm liquid. You watch as he brings the spoon to Kento and waits for him to blow on the food.
Your heart does that funny thing again.
Deciding to ignore it, you take the spoon and bring the soup from the ramen to your lips. The high temperature burns your mouth, making you drop the spoon, clattering on the ceramic bowl.
“Shit” You mumble, bringing your hand to your lips.
“Shit!” Yuuji exclaims, with a toothy grin.
Widening your eyes and looking at him, then at Nanami, you feel your heart drop. You did not just teach a little kid to curse, did you?
“Shit!” The boy repeats. “Shit, shit, shit, shit!”
“Oh, no.” As your heart beats faster, Nanami smiles at you, laughing softly.
“Choso taught him how to curse last week.” He explains, reaching to the jar of water on the center of the table and pouring you a glass.
“Shit, fuck!” Yuuji continues.
Surprised, you let out a nervous laugh.
“Yuuji.” Nanami scolds, gently. “We have a guest tonight. Be polite.”
Yuuji giggles and takes a bite of his food, like nothing had happened. Nanami is still smiling softly at you, lingering his stare. His brown eyes are soft, as if he holds a certain admiration for you.
The rest of the night goes with conversations with a kid, helping Kento to tie up the kitchen and putting Yuuji to bed.
Nanami sighs as he closes his son's bedroom door and walks over to you, back in the living room. You stare at each other with soft smiles for a moment, prolonging the time; you avoid saying that you have to leave, wanting to stay longer in his company, in his home.
“Would you like a glass of wine?” He asks, and your heart warms.
“It's a weekday,” you argue.
“I know.”
Then you nod, feeling the heat creep on your cheekbones. Nanami pours you a glass of red wine and guides you back to the couch. He crosses his leg, supporting an ankle on a knee, and stretching his arm on the top of the couch. He turns to face you, taking a sip of his red wine. Accepting his invitation, you approach him and snuggle on his body, his warmth radiates to you.
“How old is he?” You ask, after a moment of silence.
“Four,” he answers, rubbing circles with his thumb on your shoulder. When you don't say anything, he continues, “his… his mother is not in the picture.”
“Oh.” Your heart breaks a little to think of him and Yuuji abandoned by a faceless woman.
You feel him swallow hard and pull away to look into his eyes, “You don't have to tell me if you don't want…”
Nanami smiles softly, brushing a strand of your hair away from your face.
“It's alright.” He whispers. “I want to.”
You sit with your legs crossed on the couch as he tells you all about it. He tells you how he met Yuuji's mother at a bar and had a one night stand that resulted in her getting pregnant. He tells you how she wanted to get rid of it, and how he even drove her to the clinic, but felt an urge to convince her to keep it.
“I told her it was her choice, and hers only,” he says, “but if she wanted to, I'd support her in any way possible. She already had Choso and being a single mother is very hard. In the end, we decided I'd get the baby and she'd pay for child support. I told her it wasn't necessary, but she insisted.”
A valid reason, you think. Maybe this woman was so hurt in the past that another kid wouldn't do well for her.
“It's been Yuuji and I, ever since. At least until Choso found us last month.”
A smile creeps on your face, “He seems… nice.”
Nanami almost barks a laugh, holding himself to not wake Yuuji up.
“He’s a teenager. But he's very protective of Yuuji. I guess he's always wanted a brother, that's why he looked for us.”
You nod, reflecting on what he said. You can't help but feel compassion for Nanami, imagining it must have been hard for him in the first moments. Taking care of a newborn, on his own, and still going to work… you feel your heart squeeze.
“I know it's a bit overwhelming,” he says, interrupting your thoughts, “I-I… I won't blame you if you don't want this anymore…”
There. The insecurity is clear in his eyes, that avoid yours, in his stuttered words – have you ever heard him stutter before? –, in the way he leans his elbows on his knees. You can't help but feel sorry for him, but a deeper feeling takes over you.
Something strange, unfamiliar, but comforting. You don't know what it is yet, but you'll soon find out.
But it's something that drives you to uncross your legs and lean forward, against him. Gently, you take his chin and guide him to look at you. Without saying a word, you bring your lips to his, in a soft kiss.
“I don’t know how to deal with children,” you say, touching your forehead with his and closing your eyes, “but you can teach me. I know I’m clumsy and I have problems paying attention to what I wear to work, but if you… if you both give me a chance to let me in, I’ll do my best.”
Nanami cups your cheeks and leans forward to kiss you, before murmuring on your lips,
“You’re already in, sweet girl.”
Tears pool in your eyes as you kiss him back, not paying attention to the half empty glass of wine in your hands, only when it spills all over your blouse and on the couch.
“Fuck,” you whisper, quickly catching the – now empty – glass and standing up, “I’m so sorry!”
He stands up as well, never minding the stain on the couch, “I think that’s on me this time, darling.” Looking at your blouse, wet and stained, he inhales deeply. “You uh… That’s gonna stain if you don’t wash it soon.”
You look at him, knowing damn well the blouse is gone, the white fabric forever stained red. There’s a blush on Nanami’s cheekbones that makes you snicker.
“Should I take it off, then?” You ask, feigning innocence.
“Yes.” He answers too fast and you know what’s to come.
Untucking the blouse from your skirt, you cross your arms at your front and pull it over your head. Nanami’s breath hitches and he closes his hands in fists when he sees your black bra. It’s simple, not even lacy or anything, but the sight of your breasts in them makes him want to lose control.
You hand him the blouse with a smirk on your face. He says something under his breath that you can’t understand and takes it from you, “This will probably take all night.”
“I can stay as long as it takes,” you reply, “if that’s okay–”
“It’s okay.” Again with the quick answers, “There’s a shirt in my bedroom. It’s at the end of the hallway. I’ll throw this in the washing machine and be right there.”
You can tell he’s holding himself by the strain on his voice, but you put that aside, because now you’re excited to see his room. Walking through the corridor, you pass Yuuji’s bedroom and what looks to be Nanami’s office. His bedroom is neat, organized, which reflects on the kind of person he is. It’s bigger than yours, with floor to ceiling windows, and a king sized bed – that looks so soft you’re afraid to sit on it–, a walk-in closet, and a big mirror leaned on the wall.
The windows are what catches your attention. You’ve never seen a city like that, lit up in the dark, you can only see the lights of other buildings and the cars down there. It’s beautiful.
Two hands snake on your waist, making you jump. Nanami’s lips brush on your shoulders from behind as he pulls you closer, your back against his chest. Relaxing your muscles, you lean back on him, touching his arms.
“The view is beautiful.” You tell him as he peppers wet kisses from your shoulders to your neck.
“Hmm, this one too.” he says softly and you smile.
He starts to run his hands on your body, squeezing the flesh of your hips, cupping your breasts and hiking your skirt up to caress your inner thighs. Nanami moans in your ear.
“These damn lacy thigh highs.”
“Kento…” You sigh, leaning your head on his shoulder, “What about Yuuji…”
“I guess you’ll have to be quiet tonight.” He caresses your back and your neck until his hands are in your hair, giving it a tug that makes you whine quietly, desire coursing in your veins.
His mouth finds yours in a desperate kiss, all teeth and tongue, and it’s like he doesn’t kiss you in years . Nanami unzips your skirt from behind and pulls it down, turning your head, making you look at your reflection on the window.
“Do you know how hot you are?” He whispers, a feral look on his face. You don’t have to look into his eyes to know his pupils are dilated with lust.
“No…” You sigh. “Tell me… Show me.”
A hand dips between your thighs, pulling your underwear to the side, and wasting no time in coating his fingers with your wetness. You hear him groan and say something, but your mind goes blank when he messily rubs your clit. A moan escapes your lips and he lets go of your hair to cover them.
“Shh…” Nanami says, “Be a good girl and I’ll let you come tonight.”
Oh, god. You love when he takes control like this. It’s how you know he’s going to fuck you good.
Without warning, Nanami sinks two fingers inside you. You’re so wet that they glide in easily, making him chuckle.
“Kento…” you mumble, voice muffled by his hand. “Please…”
He moves his hand from your lip to your neck, “What’s that, sweet girl?”
“Please…” you repeat.
“Please what? Use your words, princess.”
Your breath hitches at the endearing name, “Please, fuck me.”
Nanami smiles and it takes a second until he guides you to bed.
“Take these off,” he says while unbuttoning his shirt, “keep the thighs on.”
You know he loves when you wear high thighs, especially the lacy ones. Reaching behind you, and unclasping your bra, a smile graces your features when he takes his shirt and pants off.
It never gets boring.
Nanami grows impatient and helps you pull down your underwear, spreading your legs after. The anticipation and excitement make you lose your breath, as he softly runs the back of his fingers on your inner thighs, tracing the lace and the soft skin of your upper thigh, getting closer and closer to where you want him to touch you the most.
“Kento…” your breath hitches when one of his fingers barely touches your center, “don’t tease.”
He laughs, smiling at you. “Now you want to tell me what to do?”
“No!” You shake your head, closing your eyes, “I just… Need you.”
Without warning, he kneels between your legs and latches at you. You whine, falling on the mattress and tangling your fingers on his soft hair. Nanami eats you like a starved man, like if you're someone he’s been missing for a long time. Your breath gets heavier by the second and, particularly, when he inserts two fingers inside you again, using his thumb to circle the most sensitive part of you.
“Love the way you taste,” he says, eyes hooded and cheeks flushed. You don’t answer as you feel your orgasm building up slowly on your lower stomach.
“Hmm, don’t stop.” You manage to say.
“Anything for my good girl.” He mumbles, putting his mouth on you one more time.
The compliment is what makes you come, your hand over your lips to muffle your moans and whimpers. Eye rolling to the back of your head, you try to close your legs but Nanami doesn’t stop, riding out your orgasm like he does so many times.
When he’s done, he leaves a trail of kisses up on your stomach until he reaches your face, hoovering above you.
“You look so pretty when you come.”
Laughing, you try to hide your face, but when Nanami pries your fingers apart, he kisses you softly. Your moans, muffled by his lips, are quiet when he sinks in you, starting a slow pace; he buries his face on your shoulder and you wrap your legs around his hips, hugging him closer – as if it was possible – to you.
It’s not enough.
“Kento,” you whisper in his ear, “fuck me harder.”
Nanami grunts and pulls away from you, slipping out and roughly flipping you on your stomach.
“Ass up.” His voice is commanding and you oblige, moving to stay on all fours, “you asked for this, sweet girl,” he thrusts into you hard, “now take it like the good girl you are.”
He hits a spot inside you that makes you see stars; you can’t help to think how full you are, how complete you feel with him inside.
“ Shit .” Nanami’s voice is a hoarse, breathy, mumble. His fingers dig on the skin of your hips. You can feel the pressure of his blunt nails and it only makes you shudder. Your eyes rolling back, a strangled moan leaves your lips.
“I-” you try to speak, but Nanami grabs your hair by the roots, pulling you up so your sweaty back meets his hard chest. “Fuck, Kento!”
His mouth finds your ear, breathing hard as his hips meet your behind, “You like it when I pull your hair like this?”
Words escape you when he hits that spot inside you again, taking your breath away. It only makes Nanami pull harder on your hair, your scalp stinging pleasantly. The all too familiar sensation on your lower stomach starts to emerge.
“Do you?” he insists, his pace becoming slower, teasing you.
“Yes, fuck-” you gasp.
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, Mr. Nanami ! I love it when you pull my hair!”
He hums satisfied, “Good girl.”
Nanami lets go of your hair too soon, pushing your face against the mattress, but you don't have time to whine as he starts thrusting faster and harder inside you. Your knees almost give in and your legs shake. Trying to warn him, mumbling as he pistols his hips with no mercy. It’s only when the pad of his thumb presses against the tight ring of muscles behind you that you let out a raspy moan, letting it all out.
“Fuck, you little slut ,” he groans, coming together with you, releasing his spill inside you, “look at the fucking mess you’d made.”
Your senses are out of control, you’re seeing double and you barely register the soaked sheets as Nanami rides your and his orgasms out. When he finally stops his pace, you let out a shaky breath. You feel him pull out of you with a groan, leaning against your back once more, planting kisses on your face. The sigh that leaves your lips in relief is replaced by a yelp when he turns you on your back, pressing his lips on yours.
“Make up your mind, am I a good girl or am I a slut?” you smile on his lips.
He lets out a laugh, his smile making his eyes wrinkle at the corners.
“You’re wonderful,” he replies, out of breath, “You okay?”
“Yes.” you nod. “Sorry about the mess.”
Nanami shakes his head, “I love your mess.”
Lips parted, you pause at his words and absorb its meaning.
“Do you want to shower?” He asks, as if nothing has happened.
“Yes, please.”
Nanami guides you to the bathroom and gives you toiletries, kissing you one last time before you enter the shower. You use his soap, so uniquely him , and the extra toothbrush he gave you to brush your teeth. Then, when you leave the bathroom, he’s wearing his previous boxers and has already changed the sheets. As usual.
When he looks up at you, he smiles, “Will you stay the night?”
Warmth blooms in your heart. You nod quickly, not saying a word, afraid you’ll tear up.
Then he hands you a pair of pajamas. “Sorry, I only have men’s pajamas.”
“It’s okay.” You whisper. “Thank you.”
Nanami presses his lips against yours in a short sweet kiss, “You go ahead and lie down. I’ll take a quick shower.”
Nodding again, you smile to yourself as you dress the blue pajama he gave you and get on bed. Everything about this night was perfect. Meeting Yuuji and having dinner with both of them. Learning more about Nanami’s life, him showing an important part of him.
And you can’t wait to wake up next to him tomorrow.

📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
"Thanks for covering for me, Wayne," Eddie said as he set his bag down behind the front desk, slightly out of breath from running from the bus. "Won't happen again."
"'S alright, son. Everything go okay with the counselor?" Wayne sipped from his mug, probably his fourth or fifth cup of coffee since he opened the shop that morning.
"Yep. Still on track to graduate in May."
Wayne's stipulation when he "sold" the bookshop to Eddie was that he still get his degree as backup. "Bookselling is a dangerous game and I won't have ya strugglin' if somethin' fails."
"Thatta boy," Wayne clapped him on the shoulder. "Been a slow morning. But your favorite customer is in the back."
Eddie felt his face heat up.
"He's not my favorite."
"Sure he isn't." Wayne rolled his eyes. "I'm off to get a beer with Dave. Call if you need me."
Eddie gave him a thumbs up as he checked over his emails, the one thing Wayne was terrible about doing when he was covering the store. There weren't many, never really were on Tuesdays.
He waited for Wayne to leave, the door chiming with his exit.
He jumped up and made his way around the counter, walking towards the back room hastily.
He found Steve sitting on the beanbag placed in the corner, book in his lap, face bright red.
Eddie squinted until he could see what book he was reading and nearly passed out.
His Ring was the first book in a series focused entirely on a group of queer mythical creatures. It was the only book of the series Eddie had read, and he'd only admit it under risk of death.
It wasn't that it wasn't good. It's just that it was basically porn.
And this one in particular focused on two male fairies, one who was gay and one who spent the entire first half of the book having a bisexuality crisis.
Steve was reading it with the prettiest blush on his face.
Steve, who up until this moment, passed as the straightest human being Eddie had ever met.
"Have you gotten to the part where Ereldi has to sit on Brelend's lap for an entire dinner?" Eddie asked.
Steve jumped and slammed the book closed, pushing it under his legs as if Eddie hadn't already called him out. "What are you talking about?"
"Stevie, I'm the last person to judge your reading habits. But I do have to ask why the sudden interest in queer fairy porn? You're usually reading sports memoirs and doing word searches."
In other words, 'are you interested in testing out your sexuality with me? I can pretend to be a mythical being if needed.'
"Just needed a change of scenery?"
"Are you asking me or telling me?"
Steve's blush deepened, and fuck, Eddie was about to be so unprofessional. Hopefully he wouldn't lose a customer over it, but it was a risk he had to take.
It's just that sometimes Eddie could swear Steve was watching him while he shelved books or swept the front room floors. And sometimes he caught him staring at him during his weekly storytime for kids where he gave out free books and cookies.
And Eddie always wanted to have Steve in his lap.
So.
"I." Steve refused to make eye contact, a sure sign that something was going on. "I just got curious. Heard someone talking about it and wanted to see if they were telling the truth."
"And were they?"
Steve didn't answer, so Eddie decided it was now or never.
"You know," he took a few steps closer to Steve. "I'm not usually one for those books. But there's something about the way they paint a very clear picture of how Ereldi rides Brelend in the forest that just draws me in." Another few steps. "Actually, Ereldi reminds me a bit of you."
Steve visibly gulped.
"But you wouldn't be interested in riding someone would you, Stevie? Prefer women to hop onto your lap and go for a ride?" Eddie's heart was racing.
And then it stopped completely when Steve gave the most unexpected answer he could have possibly given.
"I'd be interested in riding you."
Steve's wide eyes stared back at Eddie, daring him to make a joke, daring him to laugh.
Eddie wouldn't joke or laugh about this. He wasn't wasting this chance.
"Is the forest a requirement or could I go lock the front door and take you upstairs?"
Okay, so he couldn't not make a little joke.
"Forest sounds messy. Upstairs."
"Oh, I plan to make a mess of you regardless of location, sweetheart," Eddie leaned over Steve, foreheads touching, smirk growing as Steve's eyes closed. "Won't even have to get you hard, huh? The book did all the work for me."
Steve tilted his head back, lips puckering, searching for contact from Eddie's.
Eddie pulled away. "I close up in ten. You know the way upstairs?"
Steve's eyes blinked open as he nodded.
God, he was gonna be fun.
"You wanna be a good boy and wait for me up there?" Steve nodded and stood from the chair, wobbling slightly as he tried to gain his balance. "I want you naked in bed when I get up there, got it?"
"Um, I've never-" Steve started.
"Oh, sweetheart. I know. It's written all over you. I'm gonna take real good care of you, though. Better than anything you would read in that book."
"Eddie?"
"Yeah, sugar?"
"I really like you."
Eddie heard what he wasn't saying, knew without a doubt that he had to do this right or risk scaring him away from more than just the store.
"I really like you, too, Stevie." Eddie kissed his cheek. "You're in good hands."
"I know."

You Left Me - You Miss Me - 4
Part One - Part Two - Part Three - Part Four
Hi, time for more, arguably making things better, but also arguably making things much worse.
----
There was a diner a block and a half from their apartment. Steve found it when the sky opened up during his jog one morning. Snow, he could have handled, he was dressed for it. Slushy sleet mixed with hail was another matter. He ducked inside to hide until it passed, chatted with the owner for a bit, and brought Robin with him the next day because they had an amazing spread of waffle toppings, including crumbled bacon, and Steve knew she’d go crazy about it.
He was correct, and it was their go to spot, not just for breakfast.
At the end of January, Rebecca sat down to join them, and handed Steve an application.
Steve was already working at a JC Penny in the stock room, and picked up a few hours at a roller rink filling in when someone called out. They had enough money to live. Not decadently, but they could cover all their bills, and keep gas in the car, and buy supplies for Robin’s classes.
“Uh, Rebecca, I’m- thank you? But. My memory sucks, and my hearing isn’t great, and if someone starts getting rude, I’m going to get rude back to them, and --”
“This is a diner, hun,” she stopped him, “You write the orders down, you can always tell someone to say it again, and the fact you can shut down anyone that gives you lip is why I think you’ll be good at it. Like I said, it’s a diner. We don’t have to be all sunshine and daisies here.”
“I’m working at another--”
“Over at the mall and the rink, I know. And I know you’re free Monday through Wednesday mornings. And,” she stressed, “staff gets free meals and first dibs on the day olds.”
“Dingus!" Robin gasped and grabbed his arm. "Do it, do it. Stevie. Please, oh my god, please, you have to take it. You can bring me the brioche buns. And that apple butter. And that thing with the nuts! Steeevveee, don’t you love your soulmate? Please? I cou--”
So Steve took the job, and worked a few mornings a week. By the third week of February, he stopped feeling like he was going to fuck up any second. He understood why Rebecca liked his ability to get bitchy in the face of difficult customers, and he and Robin had cupboards well stocked with random take homes.
He liked it. Starting at five in the morning took some getting used to, but he was done by one, and traded off with a middle aged mom named Susan after the lunch rush settled down. Was it a ton of money? No. But he got more tips than he expected to, and the brioche really was delicious.
The last week of February, he was working alone on a Tuesday, at the start of the lunch rush, expecting Susan to arrive soon, and an easy day.
“Be with you in a minute,” he called to whoever just came inside, bussing half a dozen empty plates from table two after dropping off more creamer at table four. He looped back, ducking behind the counter to put the plates on the pass through for Nick to grab.
He dropped the entire stack before he got there.
His hands clenched down, his muscles locked, and even though it should have made him hold harder, everything slipped, and either shattered on the tiles or banged into his feet.
Jim Hopper winced from his seat at the counter. “Sorry, kid.”
The couple of other diners glanced up to check on him, and John looked around the window from the kitchen. Steve didn’t move. Couldn't. Could barely breathe.
“Is it back?”
“No.”
His exhale shook out of him before he shoved down the panic.
“Then whatever this is can wait.”
“I’m just here to talk.”
“And I said it can wait.”
He swept up the broken dishes, shrugged off John’s silent offer to throw Hopper out, and reminded himself there was no reason to think that the Upside Down was back. That meant this was going to be more awkward and less dangerous, and he was going to hate it, but it was still the better version of the day.
“What’ll you have?”
“Kid, I’m here to talk cause I didn’t think you’d want me at your place.”
“And I’m at work, and this is a diner, so what’ll you have?”
“Steve--”
“I’ll bring you coffee. I’m not talking about this while I’m working.”
“Coffee’s good. When are you off?”
Steve gave his bitchiest smile, didn’t answer, and went to seat the couple that just walked in.
The lunch rush was a mercy. Susan handled Hopper, and gave him the iciest service anyone had ever gotten under that roof. Hopper took it gracefully, but he didn’t shift, or push, or give any indication that he wasn’t willing to sit there til midnight if he had to.
Normally, Steve would get some lunch to go and head home. If the weather was bad, he ate at the booth in the corner to wait it out. With the way his stomach was twisting, unable to separate Hopper from what his arrival could mean, he wasn’t going to keep food down. He filled a glass of water, then silently gestured Hop to follow.
“Good to see you, Steve,” he said when they sat. “You and Robin doing okay up here?”
“We’re fine. Why are you here? If it isn’t something to do with, you know, then why are you here?”
“Maybe I just came up to check on you.”
“Did you?” Steve snorted into his drink when that question made Hopper’s face twist up. “So what is this?”
“I am here to check on you. There’s something else, but I came here because I’m checking on you. Me and you weren’t all that close, but you had Mrs Buckley give me your info so I’d know where you were.”
“Yeah, in case of an emergency. And you said there wasn’t any emergency. Plus, you had my phone number, so you could have called, which would be way less weird than showing up while I’m at work, you know?”
Hopper scratched at his cheek. “It’s not an emergency compared to all the reasons you wanted me to be able to find you, but if you ask those kids, this may as well be the end of the world again.”
Steve rolled his eyes. “Yeah, right.”
“Yeah, well. Henderson is gonna get himself arrested if he keeps trying to steal the mail and find something addressed to you. Max keeps pushing El to try and find you. The only reason they haven’t gone completely crazy is because of the Buckleys telling them that you’re fine. She gave me your address and number, and she talked for a little bit about the kids.”
Steve smiled at that. Mrs Buckley had never talked a ‘little bit’ about anything in her life. Either she was holding the line on being rude to anyone that might bother them, or Hop was pretending he hadn’t listened to a solid hour of rambling.
“Still haven’t told me why you’re here.”
“Want to ask if I can -- shit, I don’t know. I can route mail back and forth so they never have your address or something. I’d rather give them your info so I don’t have to be involved, but I already know you won’t agree to that.”
Steve ignored the pause that Hopper left there. Conversation and good manners said he should concede to something so he wouldn’t inconvenience the man too much. The last month with Robin supporting his choice kept his mouth shut. She’d be pissed at him if he folded, and worse, she’d help him get through all the pain it caused if he did talk to the kids again. Then he’d feel guilty and sad.
“Alright,” Hopper grumbled, “Didn’t think you would, but you know how those kids can be. Can’t fault me for trying.”
“So, we’re done? You sat here all this time just to talk for three minutes?”
“Almost.”
“So….” At least Steve could enjoy the fact that neither of them were enjoying this.  Hopper winced a bit before he spoke.
“I didn’t tell any of the kids I was coming up to see you. None of them knew, and none of them are gonna know. Didn’t even tell Joyce why, just that I was driving up to Indy. Already had a plan in case they tried to tail me up here. So, had a surprise this morning when I got to my truck. it might change your answer.”
“Didn’t know you were so dramatic about stuff.”
“Side effect of two hours with that surprise, I guess. Eddie Munson came up with me.”
Any of the kids would have hurt.
Henderson might have made him cry.
Eddie Munson? That didn’t make sense.
They weren’t friends, never had been. The Upside Down meant they were connected, but they were never more than acquaintances, even when Steve was desperately trying to keep them all close. Sure, he’d taken over as the chauffeur for the kids, and everyone’s new best friend, but that didn’t explain why he’d bother to come up to talk to Steve.
“What the hell? Why?”
“He asked.”
“And you said yes.”
“He said please.”
That was not the whole story. There was something getting skipped over, left out. Hopper tolerated Munson, but he wouldn’t do him a favor if there wasn’t some kind of monster involved.
“Wait, you’ve been here for two hours.”
“Yep.”
“Did you just leave him in your truck this whole time? That front came through overnight. The high is thirty four today.”
“Yeah, I did,” Hopper said flatly. “He told me he wanted to come up so he could talk to you. Told me a little bit about why. And I said yes and I let him come, but I told him that I was gonna talk to you first. If you said no, he was gonna stay in that seat clear back to Hawkins, and keep his mouth shut about this whole thing.”
“How’d he know what you were doing?”
“No clue.”
“What does he want to talk about?”
“Not gonna say it for him.” Hopper shifted towards the edge of the booth. “So, want me to tell him to buckle back up, or tell him to get his ass in here?”
A quick consult with the imaginary Robin in his head left him just as confused, but curious as hell. He agreed, and fidgeted with a napkin, struggling to think of any reason why Eddie Munson would want to talk to him, or what the hell he said that the kids hadn’t that convinced Hopper to drive him up.
Stuck in his head, Steve jumped when a mess of a man in denim and leather slid shivering into the seat opposite. The scars on his face and hands were less vivid than they were last time they saw each other, but they still worked as a thermometer. Steve's did the same.
“Why the hell were you sitting in the cold, man?”
Eddie blinked, and froze where he was rubbing his hands together trying to get feeling back. “Hopper took the keys.”
Steve’s turn to blink. This was the guy taking care of his kids.
“Susan?” He called, gesturing for two when she lifted the coffee carafe in a question.
“You don’t need to do that.”
“Dude, I don’t know what the hell you’re doing here or why you care or what the hell is happening, but I’m not gonna let you sit there shaking cause you’re a dumbass who doesn’t know what gloves are.”
Steve watched packet after packet of sugar pour into Eddie’s, while he stirred a splash of half and half into his own cup. Eddie took a gulp, hissed at the heat, and clutched at the mug, eyes glued to the nicked surface of the table.
“I’m sorry.”
“For rotting your teeth out? That’s your choice, Munson.”
“No,” Eddie insisted, voice hoarse, “I’m sorry about the kids.”
Steve took a breath, took a sip, took another breath. “Look, man, that’s not on you. You play D&D with them, and you like all their nerdy shit. I was -- They grew up. We got through everything, all of that, we won, and they grew up. It’s not your fault that they like you more than they liked me. So, thanks, I guess, but--”
“Steve. No. They didn’t. They -- those kids did not suddenly grow up and decide they didn’t like you anymore. You are their favorite person anywhere, ever, you will be for the rest of eternity, and they don’t understand why no one will tell them how to reach you. They put on a really good show about being mad about it, but, come on, you know what they’re like. They want to apologize cause they know they hurt you, and they want to fix it, and just, you gotta let them try, Steve. You gotta let them talk to you. They miss you so fucking much.”
“Look, I know how they get, and I know how dramatic they are, but it’s still not your fault--”
“It is. Steve. It is my fault. That’s - That’s why you have to talk to them. Cause they didn’t grow up and get over you or decide they didn’t care about you. Those kids are crazy about you, and they never stopped, and they’re hurt right now cause they don’t understand why you left them, and you gotta fix it with them, please.”
Something pinged weird in his ear when he heard the way Munson’s voice cracked. Not just worry, not just helping, not just caring about the kids. Guilt. He was taking the blame for it, even though that didn’t make any sense. The kids were - brats, gremlins, terrors, the most stubborn people he’d ever met, and he knew Nancy Wheeler. If they wanted to be around him, they would be around him.
It wasn’t Eddie’s fault, or anyone’s fault. It hurt like hell, and Steve wished it wasn’t true, but this was just life. Kids grew up, their interests moved. Friendships changed and ended.
But that crack of guilt…
“How is it your fault and not theirs that they stopped wanting to ever see me?”
Eddie’s hands stopped shaking from the cold before he got the coffee.
His hands were shaking again.
Trembled in the time between Steve asking, and Eddie managing to respond.
“I, uh, I asked them to.”

Don't be too mad at him yet. He has a lot more to say.

Work The Case
Request from @doctorsteeb: This may be too sensitive a topic but just an idea— Hotch!daughter taking out a school shooter?
Aaron Hotchner x daughter!reader
Summary: A normal Tuesday takes a turn when you come face to face with your father's work.
A/N: Not going to lie I wasn't going to write this because I felt like the idea was too sensitive but then I remembered that I'm the queen of writing too sensitive things in real life so I may as well do that here too (within limits of course. I still have ethics). So here it is!
CW: school shooting, fatal gun shot, talks of foyet, talks of dead mothers, talks of car crashes, talks of drunk driving, talks of divorce, Jackson Pollok slander
---
The morning started out like any other Tuesday: you got up and ready for the day before having breakfast with your dad and brother- oatmeal and orange juice- then your dad drove you and Jack to school. Jack always got dropped off first at the elementary school, and you at the high school. The ride between the two was short, but it was always long enough for a small, private conversation between you and your father.
“You okay?” he asked you.
Ugh. Profilers.
“I’m…” You thought about saying ‘fine,’ but you knew he wouldn’t take that as an answer. You sighed. “The teacher let the class vote on what chapter we would cover in class next, so we started on abnormal criminal psychology yesterday.”
“Oh.” You’d never heard your dad sound so uncertain.
“It’s an extra chapter. Since it’s not listed in the curriculum we aren’t being tested on the material. The teacher told me I could spend that period in the library if it was… too much,” you finished.
You dad pulled in front of the school, leaning over to kiss you on the forehead goodbye. “Whatever you need, sweetheart.”
“Thanks,” you told him.
“Try to have a good day,” he said before you shut the car door.
You nodded. “I’ll try.”
---
You took your teacher’s offer and went to the library instead of their classroom. The space was large, but mostly empty of people- there was just the librarian behind her desk and a few students scattered amongst the tables. You took a seat and pulled out your homework, trying not to think about what they were learning back in the classroom. You’d honestly overheard enough phone calls that whatever they were learning about you already knew. There was a buzz in your pocket, which automatically made you freeze. You kept your phone on do not disturb through the school day. The only reason your phone would buzz would be if your dad was texting you… and if your dad was texting you it was an emergency.
You pulled your phone out and you were right- it was a text from your dad. Three words: Work the case.
Shit. That was code for you and Jack to hide- to hide somewhere that you wouldn’t be found unless you wanted to be. You looked around the library, but the area was like an open plain. You shoved your work in your backpack and hurried towards the doors-
BOOM!
A gunshot.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
People began to scream. Through the glass windows of the library you could see students running, but it wasn’t because they were late to class. The lockdown alarm sounded and you scrambled under one of the tables, hoping it would be enough cover.
There was a stillness and a silence for a minute and you hoped that it was over, but gunshots rang out again- this time they were louder than they had been before. Someone was getting closer.
Your heart was pounding in your chest, making it feel as though your entire body was thumping to its too-fast rhythm. You wanted to cry, but you didn’t shed any tears. You wondered if this was what it had been like for Jack when Foyet had killed your mother and then tried to kill your father. As part of WISTEC, you had been sent away to a private boarding school with an alias while Jack and your mom were sent elsewhere. In the end, sending you away had saved your life, but now you were wondering if you were going to die soon anyway.
That was, until the library doors burst open. From your view under the table you could only see old shoes and baggy jeans but you heard the shots that were fired into the air.
“Get up! All of you!” It was a male voice.
You, along with the six other students in the library that had all dropped to the floor, looked around at one another- who would make the decision to stand up or stay down? Who would make that call?
More shots were fired. “I said get up!”
You thought about your dad- what would he do? And so you were the one to make the call, the first student to crawl out slowly from under the table and rise, your hands held up to show that you were no threat. The rest of the students followed your lead. This was your team now- if one of them died, it was on you.
You looked at the shooter and you knew who he was- Timmy Rogers. He’d been in some of your classes in middle school and high school. He had always been quiet- the kind of kid who did well in class but never answered any questions. The person who put their share into a group project and didn’t complain about having to pick up the slack if someone else bailed. He was nice enough of a person that you wouldn’t have expected him to be holding a firearm in the middle of your school, but then again most unsubs could keep themselves hidden for years- that much you knew.
“Line up against the wall. Now!” he shouted.
You walked calmly to the wall while some of the other students scampered. One girl was crying. Another boy’s fists were twisted with fear. The librarian was on her knees, pleading with Timmy. “You’re a good boy. You always have been. Your mother-”
“Don’t talk about my mother! Don’t talk about me! You don’t know me!”
“Yes I do,” the librarian was crying. “I do know you and your mom wouldn’t have wanted-”
Timmy pulled the trigger and she was gone. He marched over and grabbed the girl who was crying, dragging her out in front for the rest of you to see. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry!” She fell to her knees. “Please, I’m sorry-”
You thought quickly about everything you knew about Timmy. He wasn’t an athlete by any means but he joined the wrestling team anyway, he liked art and his project last year was based on his parent’s divorce, his father was a marine, and his mom…
Oh. His mom had died in a car crash last week. She was hit by a drunk driver.
“You never cared about me!” he yelled. “Nobody cares about me. Nobody cared about her-”
“I did.” You didn’t know where the words came from- they were solid and bold and half a lie, but they made Timmy let go of the girl.
“And who are you?” He pointed the gun in your direction. You wanted to scream, but you didn’t.
“I’m (Y/N) Hotchner. W-we had art class together last year.” You hoped your stumble wasn’t too obvious.
“Yeah, and why does that matter? Why should I let you live? Why should I let any of you live?” He waved the gun around in the air, making some of the students shriek, but somehow you stayed calm even though you wanted to explode.
“Y-your mom died in a car crash last week. But it wasn’t her fault. It was the other person who was driving drunk and it wasn’t fair that they got to live and she had to die,” you said.
“Why do you care?” He spat.
You reached deep down… really deep. “My mom died too. She was murdered by a serial killer. She deserved so much better, just like your mom did.”
Timmy paused, the gun in his hand was shaking but still pointed at you. From your view, you could see that through the glass there were officers moving into the school. No. Not just officers- they were wearing FBI vests. Help was almost there, you just had to stall.
“My parents got divorced too,” you said. “Your final project last year really spoke to me- your dad was away all the time and your mom got tired of it, even though they still loved each other.” That was a total lie- the guy was about as talented as Pollok, but you had to find something. “My parents were the same way.”
Now Timmy was crying. You could see behind him that agents were moving towards the library, but you were too focused on stalling Timmy that you weren’t focused on their faces.
“And I was at a boarding school when she died so I was alone- all alone, just like you, Timmy. My mom died and nobody was there to comfort me. My dad wasn’t with me, just like your dad isn’t here right now.”
He was so distracted by your words that he didn’t even notice that the library doors had opened behind him allowing Agent Morgan, Dr. Reid, and your dad to come in unnoticed.
“He- he didn’t even come for her funeral-” Timmy’s hand was getting weaker. He was crying harder. “I-I can’t reach him-”
“I know. I couldn’t reach my dad either since I was still in WISTEC. They couldn’t tell me anything about him until I got home. It’s not fair. I know it’s not fair. I care that it’s not fair.”
Timmy dropped the gun, crumbling to the ground in a fit of tears. Agent Morgan tackled him, pulling his hands behind his back while Dr. Reid disabled the firearm. Your dad ran straight to you, gripping you in a bone crushing hug and you sobbed into his chest.
He pulled you in tighter, stroking a hand down your hair. “It’s over, sweetheart,” he whispered. “I’ve got you. It’s over.”
“I worked the case, dad,” you managed to get out between your sobs. “I worked the case.”

[y/d/n = your daughter’s name]
You thought the hardest thing you had ever done in your entire life was the process of deciding to file for divorce from your ex-husband Jolly, but he had proven you wrong. It was that he had signed the papers without an argument or fight. He had just done it.
It had stung, how he came back from a long tour, saw the papers laying on the kitchen counter and just signed them. It hurt but you also knew it was for the best. That he didn’t fight with you was hard, but it also made it in some ironic way easier.
Since you had a daughter together, he came over only on the weekends when he was home from touring and normally, he’d only pick up your daughter and leave again; not really much conversation going on between you except the necessary small talk. He was a good father and human after all, and you were glad for that.
After some time, routine came back and somewhat everything began to feel normal again. You began to date again, and Jolly seemed to live his life to the fullest. You were happy for him.
That changed when your doorbell rang on a Tuesday evening. You were sitting on the couch watching TV when you heard the sound and for the first couple of seconds you thought about not opening the door. After all, it was almost 8 PM and you were kind of scared there would be someone trying to break in or hurt you, but when it rang again you became curious.
“Joakim?” You asked surprised when you saw him standing there.
“Is it true?” He just asked and looked you dead in the eye.
“What?” You answered him confused. He looked like he hadn’t slept properly since he brought back your daughter two days ago.
“On the weekend, y/d/n said you were seeing someone.” He asked, his tone careful, yet you could sense some sort of hurt in his voice.
“Do you maybe wanna come in before you confront me about stuff that hasn’t got anything to do with you?” You grumbled at him in a sarcastic tone, which he ignored while stepping into the place you once called home together.
He walked into the living room, followed by you. There he crossed his arms in front of your chest and looked at you, disappointed.
“What do you want to here, Joakim? I don’t remember that we agreed to be abstinent for the rest of our lives.” You snarled at him and mirrored is gesture.
“Don’t you think it still hurts that I hear that from our daughter instead of you?” He responded in the same tone.
“I don’t know why you suddenly seemed to care.” You grumbled. “Since you didn’t show any interest in me for… how long is it now? One and a half years?”
“You didn’t even let me explain myself and threw the divorce papers at me. How do you think I feel?” He angrily expressed.
“I don’t even need to tell you this, but there is no other guy. I went on two dates. TWO dates, Jolly.” You answered him while ignoring how his statement stung. You knew it had been egoistic of you, but the months before the divorce, he either wasn’t at home or when he was, he didn’t even look at you. You felt unimportant, unloved, neglected. And now he was throwing around these statements. You wished he had done it earlier. You wished he would have opened up to you. The fact that he only did it because he saw the potential danger of another person in your life, hurt you so much.
Jolly took a deep breath. “I feel like we never even talked about this whole separation.”
“You were the one who didn’t ask when I handed you the papers, Joakim.” You said, your tone a lot calmer than it had been before but you still were angry. You were glad that your daughter was having a sleepover at a friend's house that night, otherwise she would have already been downstairs.
When Jolly didn’t say anything for another solid minute, you sighed.
“Don’t you think it is a bit too late to talk now?” You mumbled defeated and ran a hand through your hair. “I hope you know that I didn’t do that to hurt you. We both know it would have ended way uglier if we dragged it out longer than it already had been.”
You saw how Jolly swallowed hard.
“You know I still love you?” He almost whispered and let his hands fall to his sides. When you looked at him like that, he almost looked broken… defeated. For the first time since what felt like ages, you felt like he let his guard down. Like he wasn’t trying to hide his feelings away.
“I know, Jolly.” You answered him. “And I also know that a part of me still loves you and always will, but we both know that this isn’t going to work. At least not like this.”
He slowly took a step towards you, carefully watching your reaction. When you didn’t look reluctant or took a step back, he reached for your hand and grabbed it.
“I am so sorry that all of this happened. I thought about everything that had happened. Long before the divorce. I know how cruel I was to leave you in the dark. To not talk to you when I needed nothing but your comfort. I thought that I would get through everything by myself.” He told you with honesty in his voice.
“You didn’t have to go through everything alone. That is what a marriage is for, Jolly. I would have been more than happy to help you. I still am if you need me.” You whispered out and looked into the eyes of the man you had and still loved so dearly, and you felt how your heart hurt.
“I always need you, y/n. I need you so bad.” Jolly responded and you saw how his eyes became glossy. Without even thinking you wrapped your arms around his torso and hugged him tightly. You felt how tears started to form in your eyes and it broke your heart when you heard him sniffle for a second.
When you leaned back to look at him, there was this foolish hope in your heart. The hope that you would be able to find back to each other. But your brain knew, even if you did eventually manage to do that, now was not the right time for it.
“Can I kiss you?” Jolly asked and you felt warmth form in your stomach. You knew you should have said no. You knew you should have been strong, but you still nodded.
Your lips met with a ferocity born from years of unspoken words and yearning. The taste of his mouth a bittersweet reminder of everything you had lost.
It felt like you kissed for an eternity and still, when you pulled away, it felt like it wasn’t long enough. You missed him. You missed everything about him, from his small jokes to the way it felt when you fell asleep next to him. He was what made this house a home.
“We shouldn’t.” You whispered against his lips, and he nodded. Before he could even think about letting you go, you pressed your lips against his for a second kiss. This one being much more eager than the previous one.
Slowly but surely, you stumbled towards the couch and soon you were laying under him, lips still connected as if life depended on it. His tongue slipped into your mouth, and you couldn’t help but sigh into the kiss.
It didn’t take long until his fingers curled into the waistband of your shorts and panties. For a second, he leaned back to look for consent in your eyes. When you eagerly nodded, he tugged them down your legs.
He kissed you deeply before lowering himself down your body. You shivered when you felt his breath against your core and not even a second later you felt his warm tongue sliding through your folds. He drew skillful circles around your clit. A wave of warmth washed over you as you moaned out his name and it felt so wrong and so right at the same time. You had missed him so much.
Your hand reached for his and he was quick to intertwine your fingers. Your nails pressed into the skin on his hand as your back arched in pleasure.
“Tell me you’re mine.” He pleaded as he raised his head for a second to look at you through his lashed and you felt like you could come on the spot.
“I’m yours, Joakim. I always will be.” You whimpered out and it was all he needed to hear as his head lowered again.
It didn’t take long for you to feel the waves of your orgasm washing over you, as you screamed out his name. Your vision blurred for a second as you came on his tongue. He kissed the inside of your thighs until you slowly came down from your high, before he came up to look at you again.
You grabbed his face and kissed him with such force, he feared to collapsed right on the spot. You could taste yourself on his tongue and the feeling of the fabric of his jeans against your naked cunt made you shiver in overstimulation.
In a swift motion, he turned you on your stomach and you heard how he unzipped his pants. The next thing you felt was hot kisses pressed to the back of your neck and you sighed in need. You needed to feel him, even if it was the last time.
“Do you have a condom?” He groaned into your ear.
“You don’t need one, Joakim. I’m clean and on the pill.” – “Got it.”
You clenched your fists into the fabric of the couch as you felt him enter you. A delicate burn formed inside of you as he stretched your walls. He was gentle but still you let out a small yelp as he bottomed out in one stroke. The small groan that escaped from Jolly’s lips, let you clench around him for a moment.
“God.” He moaned. “I wish I could stay inside of you forever.”
You moaned as a response.
“I’ll make you mine, even if it’s the last time.” He groaned as he slung an arm around your torso, making you slightly sit on him as he thrusted into you.
“I’ll be yours.” You whimpered and reached behind you to grab onto his hair. You moved in a rhythm as you felt the knot tighten in your stomach for a second time. One of Jolly’s hands travelled between your thighs and began to rub small circles on your wet clit.
“God, Jolly. I’m gonna come.” You almost screamed out.
“I’ve got you.” He breathed out as you felt the intense sensation of your second orgasm rolling over you. You felt how your body slowly lost strength, but you held yourself together for him.
You fell forward, leaning on your elbows as his hands grabbed your hips. Shortly after that you felt how he was twitching inside of you and he let out a loud groan as he finished inside of you, his cum filling you up until it began to drip. He grabbed the armrest of the couch in front of you to not let his weight drop on you as he mumbled out small love confessions.
For a couple of moments, neither of you dared to move. He peppered your shoulder with small kisses while you both tried to tame your breaths. Even though, you both didn’t want to, he eventually pulled out of you and got up, as you slowly laid down on your back.
After a minute or so he reappeared with a washcloth and gently cleaned you up, before helping you up from the couch and to the bathroom to go to the toilet.
After you finished and came back to the living room, he handed you your clothes and you both got fully dressed again, before looking at each other in awkward silence.
You knew what he was going to say, before he could even finish.
“Maybe, I should-…” – “Stay.”
He blinked a couple of times as his eyes lit up.
“Y/d/n isn’t coming back until tomorrow after school. You can stay.” You almost whispered and hoped he wouldn’t leave you in that state. “I want you to stay.”
“Okay.” He muttered and nodded slightly. “I will.”
As the two of you sat down on the couch, a wave of guilt washed over you. This was a forbidden taste of the past that only solidified the painful truth. You were bound by a love that could never be, at least not now…

The sun rays beamed through your room, lighting up the space. The dust speckles glowing in the sun, floated around your room and faint sound of birds chirping in the distance filled the atmosphere.
You found yourself dancing the line between being in a dream and reality. Stretching out your arms above your head, you extended your limbs with a groan. Heavy lidded, you reached for your phone to check the time.
Tuesday. 6:30 am.
Vision still blurry, you rubbed your eyes to confirm if what you were seeing was real.
(1)Unread email [email protected] subject: are you alone this weekend?
Seeing an email from Mark made your heart race with excitement. Your fingers rushed to open the notification and your mood slowly started to fade into annoyance as your inner dialogue began. What could he possibly want that couldn’t have been said through a text message, or a phone call?
A fucking ticket? A stupid ticket to his show?! Who does he think he is? You felt your cheeks heat up as anger started to rise in your body. What the fuck was this? A peace offering? Him reaching out? You clenched your jaw, sitting up and ran your fingers through your hair.
It has been almost 3 weeks since you and Mark last spoke. The exchange left a bitter taste in your mouth.
It all began when Mark started to get busier with shows and your interactions started to slow down. Not thinking too much about it, you tried to be patient with him. So when Mark finally found the time to have a date night, you were so excited that you cancelled all your other plans for him. A cosy night in with dinner and a movie was just what you both needed.
Although, the night didn’t go as planned when Mark showed up late, drunk and smelling like someone else’s perfume.
“Babyyy I’m sorry..” Mark stumbled into your flat, trying to smother you in affection and you took a step back to scan him from head to toe.
“You’re drunk.” You deadpanned, holding your arms up to create space between the two of you.
“I’m sorry.. I was just with the guys.. and one thing let to another. I lost track of time..” He took another step towards you.
“I’m here now baby.. I’m sorry” Mark pouted.
“It’s 11 pm.” You walked into the living room to sit down, arms still crossed. Mark followed you and kneeled down resting his hands on your knees.
“Baby I-“ He tried to catch your gaze, looking up at you.
“Go home Mark. Fuck off.”
“I cancelled my plans and made this dinner for YOU. I waited to eat.. FOR YOU. You couldn’t even drop me a text?” You felt anger coursing through your veins and your eyes started to tear up from the frustration. “Recently, all you ever do is lose track of time and your time never concerns me..”
You finally met his pleading eyes.
“Just leave bro.” There was venom in your tone and you felt Mark’s body language change.
Mark pulled back his warmth from your lap and slowly got up. “You know what, y/n.. Fuck you.”
“I’m trying to build a career here and you don’t seem the give a fuck.” You could hear Mark getting worked up as he took his hat off to move his hair out of his face.
“Mm?” He put his hat back on and started walking towards the door.
A part of him hoped that you would stop him, so when you didn’t even look in his direction. His fury sprang to life.
“Whatever bro, enjoy your night.” He slammed the door behind him and left.
A chill silence fell through the apartment.
Tumblr media
Since that night, there had been radio silence between the two of you and this email was the first attempt at interaction. You exasperatedly locked your phone and threw it on your bed. Laying back down, you put a pillow over your head.
After seething for a while, you decided to delete the email and went about your day, until during your lunch break. When your phone buzzed, lo and behold, it was a text from Mark.
Mark 12:35 pm I’m sorry, I miss you. Would love to see you there
Muscles in your face relaxed and you let out the biggest sigh on planet earth. Emotions overtook you as you saw his name pop up on your phone. It had been a while since you had felt this feeling. You missed it. You missed him.
Couple days into the fight, feelings of regret started to seep in. You couldn’t help but feel a little silly about the fight taking such an ugly turn. You both had never spoken to each other this way before, nasty words said to one another without hearing each other. You felt almost ashamed of yourself by how you handled the situation. The shame made you reluctant to reach out to Mark.
This was your first big fight but what you feared was the inevitability of his schedule only becoming busier, leaving room for more fights like this. And just like that, thoughts of your relationship coming to an end began to haunt you.
Thoughts of Mark consumed most of your week, in the morning, you thought of him. In the car, you thought of him. At work, eating dinner, looking through the kittens you both short-listed to adopt, you wanted his advice. You wanted to talk about possibly raising the kitten together, living together. You wanted to fight about unwashed dishes, you wanted to crawl into his arms at the end of a long day.
Dance around the kitchen whilst making breakfast to having you on his tongue on the counter the next minute. You wanted it all. Sadness started to creep in, as you doubted the possibility of this being possible.
All week, you dragged these big bags of complicated emotions inside you like a paper weight. Is this the end? You thought to yourself but not feeling ready to know the answer just yet.
“Of course I love him.. but is love enough?” You pondered over lunch with your best friend, on Wednesday afternoon.
“Maybe, this is how it is you know.. you meet someone, you fall in love and it’s great, until it’s not.”
“I guess everything comes to an end?” Letting out a big sigh, you looked out the window. The weather matched your bleak mood. Grey clouds stretched out over the entire sky and you watched, as rain drops fell into puddles, distorting the worlds reflection with it.
“So you not gonna go see him?” Taking a sip of her drink, your best friend tried to catch your eyes.
“I guess not..”
That night, you politely told Mark that you won’t be able to make it to his show and he chose to not respond.
It took two drinks and everything in you to send that text. You knew, rejecting his peace offering would mean this is the end. You knew, that’s how he would see it. It was easier than admitting that this relationship is doomed. So why did it feel so bad after pressing send?
Tumblr media
Friday. The day you dreaded all week was finally here. The night of his show and the day your Mark proof plan would commence. You planned to watch your favourite movies with wine and pizza after work to forget about the mess you and Mark had created.
The plan was brilliantly crafted, so it was a surprise when you ended up laying on the floor, in your gown, a little tipsy. Singing along to What Kind of Love by Childish Gambino.
“What kind of love just stays the same
What kind of love don't die alone
What kind of love would take this long
What kind of love don't make you old
Meet me at the studio
I just wanna play you something…”
This was definitely something cathartic and better than crying, you thought. You reached for another slice as you felt your phone buzz. It was 11:15pm and Mark’s name flashed across your screen. After contemplating for a couple seconds, you decided to answer the phone.
“Babyy..” Mark whined, before you could even say hello.
“Babyyy, I miss youuuu” He sounded a little drunk but sincere.
“I just did a show..” Mark announced proudly,
“And you didn’t come..” “I looked for you.. I wish you were in the front row” His voice laced with disappointment.
“Wanted my girl there man.. Wanted you to come see me and then leave with me” “Wanted to take my girl home”
“Hello to you too” You giggled into the phone, which made Mark smile on the other end.
“Can you please come see me? Let me apologise to you.” He took this as an opening.
“I’ll be done here in 30 minutes, come to me and we’ll just take a walk and talk. I need to see you.”
You sighed in defeat. “Okay..”
The sound of his voice mixed with the alcohol in your system had made you weak to your feelings. Despite all the logical thinking you had been doing all week. One phone call and all the logic had gone out the window as you rushed to change into some sweatpants and a hoodie.
Sliding your keys in your pocket, you hopped in the uber and rubbed your hands together to generate some heat. It was a chilly night.
Your heart started to beat fast as you spotted the back of his head covered in a black snapback. Mumbling a thank you to the driver, you stepped out the cab and started walking towards him.
When his friends spotted you, their conversation transitioned into whispers.
“Yo, your girl’s here” Haechan mentioned, waving at you which caused Mark to turn around.
He greeted you with a big smile and lazy eyes. Engulfing you in his arms, he began rocking side to side. “I missed you so much” He left kisses all over your face, making you giggle.
“Alright ya’ll, peace. I’m going home with my girl.” He put his arm around your shoulder and started to walk away. You managed to turn around and give everyone a quick wave bye.
You both strolled in the general direction to Mark’s apartment. The city was beginning to quiet down around you and you both existed in silence. Different types of lights covered the city, leaving you in awe of the beauty. Mark pulled out his phone to snap a picture of first, the sky and then of your shadows together.
“Beautiful” Mark whispered to himself.
“What are you doing?”
“Tryna be cute babe” Mark cheesed in your face.
“Mark we need to t-
Before you could finish your sentence, his lips crashed down into yours and you both sighed from the relief of finally being able to feel one another. You mmmm’d into his mouth from the sweet taste of rum and coke and the realisation hit you. Not only did you stop him, but you kissed him back. You kissed Mark back. Your inner dialogue got going once again and your mind started racing about what this could mean. Was it this easy? Were you back together? Did you ever break up?
Your heart was beating hard once again, but this time, with unison with Mark’s. He was freaking out too. He knew that sooner or later, you would would have to talk about things and he also knew, that it would probably not end well. He tried to delay it for as long as he could.
Mark and you pushed these thoughts to the back of your minds and deepened the kiss.
“I missed you.” He mumbled into the kiss and you told him you missed him too.
You both continued walking, and talking as if nothing was ever wrong. You told Mark about the kitten he liked, and how he would be ready for adoption by next week.
“We’re naming him Bruno for sure” He giggled, pushing to name the cat after Bruno Mars, which always made you roll your eyes but you were prepared to let him have it. If it meant that you were going to be cat parents, he could have all the dad privileges as he liked.
Mark told you about everything he had gotten up to in the past two weeks and you did the same. He was your best friend and this felt nice. It felt like home. As the night began to settle, the breeze got colder and you snuggled closer to Mark. You slipped your hand into his and grazed your thumb over his knuckle.
“Hey, we’re gonna be okay right?” You looked up at him, with a slight glint in your eyes and he took your hand, bringing up to his mouth. He placed a soft kiss on it.
“I think so”
Mark was nervous.
Although he was doing a great job of putting up a facade. Almost identical to your timeline, couple days into the fight, Mark realised how much of a dick he had been. He knew he was to blame for your reaction that night. He wanted to apologise and make things right so much but he couldn’t find the words. Deep down, he knew you were right. He was becoming busier as time went on, and his relationship was suffering because of it. There was no balance between his schedules and personal life. It was painfully apparent that the relationship had taken the back burner, the more success came Mark’s way. He wondered if he was selfish to still want to pursue this relationship if he knew, he couldn’t treat it with the attention that it deserves.
Mark barely had the time to process this hiccup, as his schedule didn’t slow down one bit. Losing control over his own time left him with feelings of anger and frustration. He felt a wave of guilt and shame wash over him when he thought back how he acted that night. Being unable to control his temper was something Mark hated. He actively tried to remain gentle in his exchanges with the people around him. Specially you. Mark hated the fact that he let his emotions control him and his misdirected anger spewed out of him.
He knew, he needed to find a way to balance his schedules and personal life or this would mean the end for the two of you. The image of this made his chest feel tight. He was desperate to make this work. So he leaned on some liquid courage and picked up the phone to call you. He wanted to try his luck one last time.
He didn’t think you’d actually show up though. He felt a little pressured to fix everything because this night could go either way. Oh and did he miss you. He missed your face, your smell. He missed making you laugh or cum. He missed touching you, holding you. He felt as though he was going crazy in your time apart.
You both had already, pretty much, come to a non-verbal agreement by the time you reached his apartment building and opened the door for you.
Getting into the lift, you were both squished in the back corner by the amount of people that were on there. The same lift, you had been in a million times before but tonight felt different. The dim light and tight space, made your stomach flip. The thick silent air floated around you, with only Mark’s breath in your ear. You felt his arms around your shoulders as he pulled you into him. It was 5 seconds into the lift ride, when you started to feel him against your butt and his breath gradually getting heavier on your skin.
Soon as everyone got off at the first floor, for some sort of party. Mark spun you around, pushing you against the mirror and kissing you. You hungrily kissed back, tongue pushing into his mouth, which made Mark moan into your mouth. The needy-ness grew in this small lift, as temperature started to rise and Mark couldn’t keep his hands to himself. He was aggressive and feverish. He needed to have you right there, and then. Bucking his hips towards you, he rubbed up against you trying to find some sort of friction. He was grabbing at your body, anywhere he could reach. His mouth travelled down to your neck leaving kisses as his thumb stroked your nipple, making you arch your back and lean into him more.
“Baby” he let out moan, unable to hold himself back. You tapped his shoulder lightly.
“Mar- He kissed you again.
“Mark” You called out his name, pushing him off you as the lift reached his floor. Mark let out a loud groan as he pulled himself off you. Soon as the lift door opened, Mark had your hand in his and you both ran to his flat giggling.
Closing the door behind you, his mouth was on you once again. “Baby, please..” Mark begged into your mouth, throwing his jacket on the floor in urgency as you threw his hat. Your hands grabbed the back of his neck as he picked you up, wrapping your legs around his waist. Mark made his way to the bedroom.
Dropping you on the bed, he fell between your legs and onto you. The heat between you both continued to rise as the bed sheets became more creased. Mark undressed you as quick as he undressed himself and before you knew, his face was between your thighs, making you hit high notes.
“I.. missed.. your.. pretty.. pussy” He said in between kisses. His fingers knew exactly what to do, as he fucked them into you. Mark was in a daze when he realised, his hands and face becoming drenched by the minute. Mark’s groans and sounds of how wet you were echoed throughout the room.
Your legs on his shoulders, his grip on your thighs were tight as he brought you to multiple orgasms, leaving you unable to catch your breath. Mark came up with a big smile on his face, as he smashed his lips against yours once more. Tasting yourself on his mouth, made you moan and Mark took it as a sign to slip into you with one single thrust. He bottomed out immediately, leaving you both in a mess of airy breaths and moans.
He slowly found his rhythm as his thrusts got harder. “Still want me to fuck off?” He pounded into you, making your breast match his movements. His right hand snaked its way to your throat, lightly grabbing it.
“Go on, I can’t hear you” He mocked you, giving your neck a squeeze as you fell apart under him.
“No.. I want.. I want you to stay” You could barely form a sentence and this amused Mark.
“You gonna take it like a good girl?”
All you could do was nod and Mark pulled back to sit on his heels. “Sit on me” He ordered.
After he got comfortable, leaning against the headboard, you straddled Mark and slowly sunk onto him. His head immediately fell into the crook of your neck, mumbling curse words into your skin. Mark never shied away from being vocal, but tonight was something different when he couldn’t stay quiet for longer than a minute. He needed you in every way.
As you started to move, his head dropped further down to your breast, taking one in his mouth as your obscene sounds got louder. Mark grabbed your ass to lift you a little higher and began pounding into you and bringing the pair of you to climax.
Heavy panting, he leaned into your frame, making you lay back on the bed and he laid on top on you. Mark lazily left kisses on all over you, before resting his head on your chest and you ran your fingers through his hair.
After your breath resumed to normal, so did your inner dialogue. The anxious train of thoughts took over your mind, the fear of not knowing how this is going to work or what tomorrow holds, made your head spin again and you felt nauseous.
“Mark…” You whispered.
“Mark.. we still need to talk” You let the sentence breathe for a while before you heard soft snores coming from his mouth. You couldn’t help but smile at his cute face, and you closed your eyes too in hopes that maybe tomorrow will bring some clarity.

It started on a random Tuesday.
You walked into the coaches’ office where your temporary desk was located– Beard nearly begged you to take Trent’s old desk because the office without Ted or Trent just felt too empty– and you saw it sitting on top of your work laptop.
It was a red, origami heart.
You looked around, puzzled, trying to figure out who left it, or at the very least, if everyone else had one on their desks too. You tried to catch someone’s eye, perhaps they’d reveal who left it on your desk, but all the coaches were in the locker room talking strategy with the entire team.
Maybe the coaches did get one and they just put it away before you got here. After all, you got to work an hour after everyone else did. You picked up the heart and turned it over to find something scribbled on the back.
“If I were loved, as I desire to be” - Lord Alfred Tennyson
You furrowed your eyebrows, holding the origami heart gently as you ransacked your small bookshelf beside your desk. Your fingers traced the spines of the books you had laying around, stopping on your copy of Tennyson’s Poetical Works. A bookmark was peeking from the top of the book and you knew exactly what poem it was.
The small smile on your lips threatened to get bigger as you read the poem over and over again. You were sure you read the poem about fifty times before you shut the book. By the time you got yourself situated, and placed the origami heart with the rest of the trinkets on your desk, it was time to join the coaches in the locker room.
As you walked in, your eyes met Sam’s. He offered a small wave which you returned happily. Sam was the first friend you made at Nelson Road. When you were hired by KJPR to manage Richmond’s social media and newsletters, your time was split between the KJPR HQ and the facility. It wasn’t because Keeley needed you at KJPR, but more so because you were too nervous to work at a football club every day.
Turns out, there was no reason to be nervous. About two weeks into your job, you found yourself itching to work onsite at Nelson Road. You loved the community they built there, their camaraderie, and their mutual trust, respect, and love for each other were more than admirable.
And sure, it also helped that Sam Obisanya was here, but that was neither here nor there.
When Keeley and Rebecca first found out about your crush on Sam, which they had to force out of you– in your defense, you knew about Rebecca and Sam’s history and you didn’t want to step on any toes– they lost it. Rebecca, of course, reassured you that it was alright with her, especially since she was with her Dutchman now. The two women would make googly eyes at you whenever they saw you talking to Sam.
“Y/N! Why else would he come into your office so often? He fancies you!”
“He’s just borrowing a book, Keels,” you frowned, “Jan Maas and Bumbercatch do the same thing.”
Rebecca rolled her eyes, “But they don’t do it as often.”
You shrugged, “Maybe Sam just reads fast.”
“Hopeless.” The two women said in sync, laughing as you threw a pen in their direction.
Stuck in your little daydream, it was Roy’s booming voice that snapped you out of your thoughts. You blinked a few times, surprised to find Sam’s eyes still on yours. You blushed under his intense stare and decided to be the one to break the connection. You walked out behind Nate, pretending to scribble on your notepad.
“Y/N!” Colin called, running to catch up with you. He threw an arm around you, “How’s my favorite social media and branding manager?”
You eyed him wearily but played along. You’d need a few more seconds to figure out what he wants, “I’m alright. How about you, Hughes?”
“I’m doing fine, as well. Say, did you do something new to your hair? It looks absolutely lovel-”
“Give it up, mate,” Sam chimed in, removing Colin’s arm from around you, “She is not taking down your promo pictures from the grid.”
You feigned a look of hurt, “And here I thought you were just being kind to me!”
Colin let out a long groan, sounding like a toddler throwing a tantrum, “The pictures aren’t flattering, Y/N! I look hideous.”
You shook your head, leaning up to squish Colin’s cheeks together, “Impossible. You’re proper fit. All of you are.”
While your (failed attempt) pep talk didn’t lift Colin’s spirits– he then went to Isaac and complained even more as he was stretching– Sam’s ears perked up at your words. Did you think he was fit? No, no, you couldn’t have. You were just saying it to make a point to Colin, right? You said the whole team was fit, not just him.
You waved goodbye to Sam, smiling at him once again, and he swears he felt his knees buckle from under him. How he managed to make it the rest of the way to the pitch and how he managed to remember how to play football after that was truly beyond him.
“Lord help me,” Sam muttered, leaning down to touch his toes.
“Yeah, lad,” Jamie grimaced next to him, though his tone was teasing. He watched the entire situation unfold. He knew about Sam’s pining and has been on the receiving end of many of Sam’s “Y/N is so lovely. Y/N is so smart. Isn’t she great?” ramblings. “You need some divine intervention because you’re pathetic.”
Sam just shoved Jamie, but he knew he was right. He was a goner.
You figured that the origami heart was a one-time thing, but to your surprise, you found another one on your desk the following day. This time it was blue. Excited to find out what lies behind the paper, you picked it up hurriedly, already smiling ear to ear before you even read it.
“In case you ever foolishly forget: I am never not thinking of you.” - Virginia Woolf
“What do you have there?”
“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,” You jumped at the sound of Keeley’s voice. She was leaning against the doorframe, smirking at your caught reaction. You held the heart between your pointer finger and thumb. You walked over to her, “This is the second one I’ve gotten.”
Keeley’s eyes widened as she read the words on the back. She squealed, rushing to you to shake you by your shoulders, “Babe, you’ve got a secret admirer! Oh my gosh, this is so cute!”
Keeley, bless her, was never one to be discreet when it came to all things romantic. Everyone in the locker room turned to look at you and Keeley in the coaches’ office, most with a confused expression on their face. You awkwardly waved before reaching over to pull Keeley into the covered part of the office. Sure, it wasn’t soundproof, but at least they didn’t get to see your embarrassment.
“Hush,” you tutted, taking the heart back from her. You placed it beside the red one, smiling at how it made your desk look more colorful. “I do not have a secret admirer. Whoever is doing this obviously just has an affinity for good literature and wants to share it with me since I’m a reader.”
“Right well I have an affinity for good champagne, but you don’t see me popping bottles with you every chance I get,” Keeley rolled her eyes, sitting on your desk. She picked up the origami heart from yesterday, groaning in disbelief, “Seriously, Y/N! How much more obvious can they get? They literally confessed their love for you in this one!”
“I do not have a secret admirer.”
“Who has a secret admirer?”
You, once again, jumped at the sound of Rebecca’s voice. Her eyebrows were raised as she walked into your office, munching on some cookies. They weren’t better than Ted’s but she’d gotten used to having cookies for breakfast that she had to make do.
“Y/N has a secret admirer, look!” Keeley ran to Rebecca, holding the two origami hearts in her hand. “Look at how cute these are.”
Rebecca studied them closely, a large smirk on her face when she locked eyes with you, “This is Sam.”
You blushed at the mention of his name, “It is not Sam because I don’t have a secret admirer. Now if you excuse me, I have work to do.”
You tried your best to steady yourself as you walked out to the locker room. The coaches had finished their talk and the team was just doing some final things before they headed out to the pitch for training.
Sam walked over to you, head tilted in question. “What was that about?”
“Nothing,” you shook your head. “Keeley and Rebecca are just being silly.”
He nodded, “Hey, I’m almost finished with the most recent book you loaned me.”
“Are you?” You grinned at him. He mirrored you. “I love that book.”
“I know,” Sam’s eyes drifted briefly to your lips. Oh, what he would give to feel your lips on his, even just for a second. He couldn’t help but keep staring at you as you went on about your favorite parts. Sam could picture the hundreds of outlined quotes you had in the copy he borrowed, different colored sticky notes and highlighters for different things. He noticed that as you spoke you stayed within the confines of the first part of the book. Sam realized later that it was because you didn’t want to risk spoiling anything for him. His heart warmed at the thought.
By the time you finished recounting the book, you were red and out of breath. You placed a hand on Sam’s bicep, not missing the way he tensed under your palm. You could feel the outline of his hard muscles under his kit, which made you suck in a breath. “I’ll see you around, Sam. Come find me when you finish the book and I’ll let you talk my ear off about it. Only fair since I just did it to you.”
He chuckled, watching you disappear into the hallway where Higgins' office was, the opposite way of the pitch where he was headed. His eyes followed your figure until you fully disappeared, which meant that he was not paying attention to where he was going. Right before his body crashed into a pole, Jamie grabbed Sam’s arm and pulled him toward the walkway. Sam, who seemed to awaken from his trance, shyly looked at Jamie.
Jamie chuckled quietly at Sam. He whipped Sam playfully with a rolled-up towel. He jogged lightly and called out to him with his Mancunian accent, “Come on, lover boy. We got trainin’ to do.”
After the fifth day of receiving origami hearts, you decided to take it upon yourself to investigate. Without telling anyone of your plans, not even Keeley or Rebecca who were still convinced it was Sam, you arrived at Nelson Road ten minutes after the call time for the team and coaches.
You entered from the back of the facility, knowing that you had closed your blinds before you left work yesterday. If there was someone in your office, they wouldn’t see you coming in. As you approached the coaches’ office, the outline of someone leaning across your desk caught your eye.
Bingo.
Your heart swelled when you realized who it was. You cleared your throat, “Sam?”
Sam turned around quickly, staring at you like a deer in headlights. He rubbed the back of his neck, “Oh hey, Y/N! You’re here early.”
“Yeah, I have a few things to get done today,” you lied, walking over to your desk. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, right, um,” he held out the book you let him borrow from behind him, “Just wanted to return this. I was just gonna leave it on your desk, but since you’re already here, here you go.”
“Oh,” you tried to mask your disappointment as you reached over to grab the book from him. Your fingers grazed his, sending shocks throughout your entire body. You looked down on your desk and found an origami heart on your laptop once more. This time it looked like a different type of paper. It was lightly colored and patterned instead of the usual solid color.  You looked at Sam, “Did you see who left this here?”
Sam, who was already halfway out the door, shrugged, reaching up to rub the back of his neck again, “Nope. It was there when I got here.”
Sure, you always denied that the secret admirer was Sam whenever Keeley and Rebecca teased you for it, but you would be a liar if you said you didn’t also secretly hope that it was him. You really liked Sam. Ever since you started working for AFC Richmond, Sam has shown you nothing but kindness. He asks you how you’re doing, and genuinely cares about your response. He pops in every week or so to borrow a book from your personal library. Then, he sits in your office after training when he finishes a book to talk about it with you. That was your favorite part of your job.
The entire day, you felt dejected and defeated. You’re never going to figure out who was leaving you these little hearts. You didn’t join the team on the pitch or leave your office. At the end of the day, you found yourself staring at a blank Word document. A knock on your wall pulled you from your thoughts. You looked up and found Sam, standing in your doorway with two bags of takeaway in his hands.
“Ready to talk Normal People?” Sam asked, walking in to take his usual spot across your desk. “I brought yummy food.”
“Ola’s?”
He nodded, unwrapping the boxes of food to lay out on your desk. “Of course.”
“Yes!” You cheered, reaching for your hand sanitizer. You offered some to Sam, which he gladly accepted. You pumped some into the palm of his hand and watched in concern as he hissed in pain when he rubbed it into his skin. “You okay?”
He shook his hands to air dry them, a grimace still on his features. “Yeah, just forgot that I had paper cuts.”
The admission almost flew over your head. Almost. It wasn’t until Sam muttered the word “Shit,” under his breath did you realize what he said. Sam rarely ever cussed, and when he did, it was because of something big. When you looked at him, he was staring at you with a nervous look on his face.
“Sam…” you trailed off.
Sam, taking your tone as a rejection, balled up his fist and bit his knuckles in anticipation. When you couldn’t find the right words, Sam interjected, “Okay, Y/N, before you get mad, hear me out please.”
You continued to stare at him in disbelief, unable to accept that it was him. He pushed his chair back, giving himself more space as he began his explanation. “Alright, so… Yes, it’s me. I have been leaving these little hearts on your desk. I’m sorry I lied to you this morning, but I panicked! I didn’t know you were coming in early. Also, I promise that I was going to tell you eventually. I was just nervous because I don’t want to ruin what we have now.”
“I like being friends with you,” he started to say, then cringed at his own words, “Okay, let me rephrase that–  I enjoy being your friend, but I do want something more. I really like you, Y/N. I have never really been good at expressing my romantic feelings to people so I figured the greats could do it for me so I started making these little origami hearts with my favorite works and quotes on the back. I was getting quite good at it until I switched the paper I was using. Thus, the paper cuts.”
“Sam, I-”
“Also, I just want to add, you are absolutely under no obligation to go out with me or anything like that. Unless, of course, you want to. Then, that would be great! I would love to go out with you.” He looked at you, like truly looked at you, for the first time since he began his little ramble. He groaned,  “Christ, you didn’t even ask. Wait– I didn’t even ask you to go out yet.”
“Sam, please,” You laughed, getting up from your chair to stand in front of him. “I was hoping it was you who was leaving these origami hearts.”
“Really?” he asked, breathless. His cheeks hurt from smiling so much. “You are not disappointed that it was me?”
You backed off a bit as he stood from his seat, walking over to you. You shook your head no, “I was absolutely devastated when you said it wasn’t you who put it on my desk this morning.”
Before you could say anything else, Sam placed his lips on yours. His hands found the side of your face, holding you at an angle that made it easier for your lips to glide against each other. Your hands lay flat against his chest, feeling the rumbling of his heart easily. As you slipped your tongue into his mouth, a deep groan escaped him, which fueled your actions. After a few moments, you pulled away from him but kept him close.
Your arms were wrapped around his neck as you looked up at him. “So what do you think? The paper cuts worth it?”
“Oh, 100%,” Sam easily replied, laughing as he squeezed your hips. He leaned down once again, unable to keep his lips away from yours any longer.
Needless to say, you didn’t get to talk about Normal People, but neither of you cared.

Hi, could you write a reader who’s not dating klaus but is jealous of how close cami has been getting to klaus and decides she is basically going to get klaus first and to prove to cami that he’s hers she plans for cami to walk in while she’s riding him
Tumblr media
And I knew that he was mine
It was infuriating seeing them together.
Seeing how she flips her long blonde hair about and as she sits and listens to Klaus talk about his emotions.
Now it took me way too long to get Klaus to open up, and yet he just immediately tells her everything?
We had a much better relationship than him and her. I mean everyone knows it. Even his siblings have asked if we’re dating. Camille is simply a therapist.
However she seems to think a little differently.
To begin with we were civil and we both had our places in his life but then she started getting touchier…flirtatious and affectionate. And her glances at me were directed, she knew what she was doing.
I didn’t like that ugly feeling that bubbled inside me whenever she was near or someone mentioned her but I couldn’t stop it. It began to hurt more and more. I found myself being clingier to Klaus, not that he seemed to mind.
“Are you alright my love? You look upset?” He hummed as he put his hand to my cheek making me lean against it
“I was just thinking…nothing to worry about” i murmured as i nuzzled his hand
“Well since you have so much to think about perhaps you should sleep here? We have more than enough room, would you stay the night?”
And on what planet would I say no?
I was more than happy to agree, know I’m that Camille had yet to sleep at the Mikaelsons house. It was stupid of me to make everything about that but it was all i could think of.
I hadn’t have thought i could love someone the way I do Klaus and yet now I am fighting to prove he is mine even though he is not.
I craved him, his eyes on me, his hands on me, his words to me.
I would blush and smile, laugh and lean towards him but it wasn’t enough. She was still coming around.
Even when he started opening up to me, she was still his go to.
It was disheartening.
I found myself upset over it far too often, overthinking it and making myself cry. Accidentally in front of him once when he started talking about how great of a friend she was
“My love…what’s happened? Did i say something?” His arms were around me in an instant, his warmth surrounding me
“No I- I’m sorry i was just-“
“Thinking? Love, what’s going on inside your head?” He would ask softly, his hand holding the back of my head gently as I snuggled into him
“I don’t know” i whispered because it was just as confusing for me too.
“You know that I care for you my love, yes? I want you to be happy” he told me
“You make me happy” I mumbled
“And you make me happy too sweetheart”
He often held me rather close to him. There were even occasions when we fell asleep together, me in his lap or lead against his chest with his arms tightly around me so I wouldn’t leave him. Id even been in his bed a few times after lounging with him, waking up with his body pressed to mine, mine tucked to his perfectly.
Being with him so much was addicting, I never wanted to leave him.
So when I walked into his artroom to see him and Camille studying one of his drawings I felt my heart ache. Why did still need her?
I needed a way to make her leave him alone. To tell her once and for all that he was just mine.
It was much easier than I had thought. I had learnt that on the occasion he did see her it was a Tuesday afternoon.
So I made sure to get there late morning to see him.
His surprise was clear on his face but he also looked rather pleased.
“My love…did I miss your call?” He asked as he quickly approached me and kissed my cheek
“No i didn’t call, sorry, i just dropped by…are you busy?” I asked looking up at him through my lashes
“Of course not love, I’m never too busy for you. What were you thinking of doing today?” He murmured taking my hand
“Well…I thought maybe you could paint me? You’ve asked to before but we didn’t have time and well I don’t have much to do” i said with a smile seeing his face light up
“Oh what a wonderful idea, come my love, we will set it all up”
And he painted me over the next few hours. He had gone as far as unbuttoning my blouse to reveal my lace bra beneath- “your body is too beautiful to not add” he murmurs as his fingers skimmed my breasts and he opened the shirt with a lick of his lips.
I was already in little denim shorts so my legs were smooth and ready. He seemed to appreciate that as his hands glided over them “you are the perfect muse” he told me as he held the back of my knee gently and bent my leg as much as he thought necessary.
Once he had finished and showed me…well the room was a lot more tense.
I was basically stood in my underwear with how small my shorts were and my top was barely even on.
I was stood right infront of him, my eyes his art and his on me. His hands on my hips as his hot breath hit my neck
“Do you like it my love?” He asked, his voice much lower, deeper
“I love it” I whispered, reaching my hand out to trace it only for him to grab it and bring it back to his chest making me turn around to face him
“It’s wet” he murmured making me blush and nod my head
“Sorry”
“Nonsense…It’s only natural to want to touch” he uttered, i let out a little breath as i looked up at him. His hand cupped my face again as his adams-apple bobbed in his throat. His thumb traced my lips making me part them, letting his thumb into my mouth slightly and wrapping my lips back around it. I watched his eyes darken as I sucked it lightly, his hand pushed the back of my head as he let out a small groan
“That’s it love” he murmured, I let my eyes shut as I let out a whimper to stir him on. A quiet growl left his throat as he pulled his hand away and licked it clean himself, groaning again at my saliva.
His hand still held my head, pulling me straight to him to have our lips moving together.
I moaned into his mouth as his other hand wrapped around my waist to keep me to him. I smiled into the kiss and I could feel him doing the same. He pulled away shortly before coming back with wet open mouthed kisses to my mouth.
His hands pushed the blouse entirely off of me, his hands slipping up my back and to my bra and unclipping it. I let it fall off my arms to the ground between us, sighing as his hands and forearms covered my back. My bare breasts pressed to his clothed chest as he pushed me against the wall of his artroom. He pulled away after repeatedly kissing my lips, only the sounds of our mouths meeting each others bouncing off of the walls. He looked down at me with near black eyes, glancing between my lips and my exposed breasts. My face immediately flushed as i cleared my throat and moved my hands to cover myself
“No- no let me see” he muttered his hands grabbed mine, the exposure had my heart racing…embarrassment crawling up me because what if this was just a quick fuck for him?
I looked back to him, his hands held my breasts tenderly as his brows furrowed
“Klaus…” I muttered unsurely and his eyes quickly darted to mine. I was beginning to doubt my plan, what if it was awkward after? What if I was leading him straight to Cami?
“My love?” His hand was back on my face making me snap back to reality
“Yeah?” I whispered
“Do you want me to stop?”
I blinked at him “I- I don’t know” his face softened as he kissed my forehead
“You know i wouldn’t hurt you” he muttered, his hands brushing the hair out of my face
“I just…What does this mean?” I asked quietly and he smiled a little
“It means you’re mine” he stated, his lips pressed to mine lightly before i pulled away
“And you’re mine?” I questioned
“Of course, who else could I ever want?” He asked, his lips on mine again after, his hands moving down my back. “We don’t have to do anything else…I just want to kiss you” he murmured, pushing me against the wall again. I opened my legs enough to let his knee move between them, i let out a breath into his open mouth as my damp panties rubbed against my denim shorts with rubbed against his thigh. I looked up at him to see his eyes near gold as he watched my body grind against him. His eyes stayed there even after I tugged his henley off my hands explored his body.
Only when I let out a loud moan as the pleasure began to burn pleasurably did he look at my face. His hand moved to my ass and held me still making me let out a grunt and a sigh
“There is no possible way that the first orgasm of our relationship is going to be without me inside you” he murmured as he lifted me, my legs clinging to him
“Where are we going?” I asked as he headed towards the door
“My bed of course” he answered is a slightly questioning tone
“I want to do it here” i whispered and he rose a brow
“In my art room?”
“You can paint me after” i breathed, my lips just below his ear as i kissed the spot afterwards to send a shiver down his spine
“Oh” he uttered as i sucked his neck, his breathing a little heavier as I rolled my hips to his again.
I way put onto a large leather couch, his hands tearing my shorts from my body as he kicked his pants off.
“Here it is” he growled as he kissed down the valley of my breasts to my lower stomach. His tongue darted out quickly to touch the hood of my clit, the unexpectedly heat made my hips buck as a breathy moan spill from my mouth. He let out a long groan as he brought his face between my legs and gave a long lick
“Oh god” I whined, his tongue was hot and fast as it lapped, his hands rubbing along my thighs but not stopping my hips from thrusting upward. “Fuck Klaus you have to stop” I panted making him pull away and hover back over me
“Why?” He asked nearly panting himself
“Because I won’t be able to stop myself cumming and I also want you inside me for the first one” I murmured, my hand pulled him down by the back of his neck as he let out an animalistic sound.
“I want a taste after though” he whispered as his mouth pressed to mine making me moan, my legs wrapped tightly around him trying to pull him down
“Please Klaus” I begged and he hummed lowly. He looked between us as i felt his tip slide along and between my folds, my teeth sunk onto my lower lip. One hand held himself up and the other guided his cock. He played at my entrance for a moment, just pushing the head in and out a few times, i was propped up on my elbows watching with anticipation. His face was pulled into one of concentration as he slowly pushed further inside.
My mouth fell open as he just kept filling me, and when i felt full, I look back down to see part of him still outside of me. My walls strained to his size as I clenched around him, almost trying to push him out.
“You alright love?” He asked and i nodded
“Fuck…how…”
He let out a laugh at my reply before slowly drawing his hips back, pain coursed through me as my walls nearly convulsed. He pushed back in with a grunt
“God” he breathed as he looked at me, our eyes locking as his eyes lusted over further.
“Keep going” I muttered with a nod and he did so without question, his body moving away and toward mine a few more times, the pain slipping into pleasure the more he did so.
I could hear just how wet he had made me as he slowly thrust his hips, and when I looked between us again I found barely any of him was left out.
“Can I go faster?” He asked, his hands now either side of me as his hips rolled. I nodded
“Yeah…yeah go faster” I moaned between words feeling him everywhere. He did so soon enough, moving back and worth quicker by each thrust.
My lower abdomen tightened as he brushed past my spot, his hand gripped the arm of the couch above my head as he grunted. I could hear his skin meet mine as he fucked faster, much faster. He let out a throaty moan the more he went on, my body squeezed him tightly as my nails dug into the leather cushions
I distantly heard a door close making me look up at Klaus but he was lost in his state of pleasure, his eyes barely focusing on my face as he pounded into me roughly. I brought my hand up and pulled him down by his neck, his lips back on mine and his hand leaving the arm of the chair to cup my cheek giving me the leverage I needed to roll on top of him.
He grunted into my moan as I rode him, my thighs still tight around his hips as I moved up and down him. I pulled away with a drawn out moan, my hands moving to his chest to keep me up as my hips fucked his.
I panted as he moaned my name, his arm circled my waist pulling my closer, out skin slapping together as he thrust upward to meet my movements. I heard footsteps making me attach my lips back to his hastily, not that he seemed to mind as he groaned as kissed back hungrily.
The door made a quiet ‘creek’ making my eyes open and glance to see a very shocked Camille. I smiled into the kiss as my hips bucked faster, forcing a moaned version of my name to leave him again as i pulled away from the kiss and bounced along him as quick as i could.
I watched her run off with her hand over her mouth and her eyes full of hateful tears.
I looked down at him to see him looking incredibly messy in the hottest of ways. His hair was a state, lips swollen and a smudge of my lipstick coming from the corner, his eyes were like the darkest of storms and he breathed my name like a prayer.
The sight alone could’ve made me cum, let alone him being deep inside me and fucking my spot perfectly with his fingers gliding over my clit rhythmically. I felt myself let go around him, a silent scream leaving my lips as I fucked him through his release, his ropes of cum filling me beyond capacity and covering both of our legs.
I practically collapsed on top of him and he was quick to hug me to him. Both of us panting as we breathed shared air between us. Our bodies were covered in a thin layer of sweat as his hot breath fanned over my face, his hand tucking my surely unruly hair behind my ear before kissing my lips gently
“You have- no idea- how much- I needed that” he panted, i lead my head down on his boiling chest as I attempted to steady my breathing. “Believe me, when i tell you that i love you” he whispered and I subconsciously tightened around him, his hand fisting my hair in a response. “And by that- I assume you do to?” He asked and i nodded
“Always” i uttered
“And forever” he finished, his hand still detangling my hair. And I knew that he was mine
(Was sat watching the Kings coronation while writing this yesterday 😭)

Could you please do Aaron Warner x reader dating post? cause I live for that man.

Aaron warner x gn!reader
warnings: ooc!Aaron (?), I changed the timeline and a tiny bit of the plot from unravel me, my poor attempt at writing anything besides headcanon, cringe writing, mention of being drugged, being shot, curse words
word count: 1.6k +
notes to the reader: reader's gift is to make people believe and do everything they say. reader has been at omega point since their childhood and is best friends with kenji. reader wears a dress
other notes to the fic: Juliette and Aaron are just friends (well still kind of enemies, but Aaron's main focus from bringing her to the reestablishment was to help his mom, instead of rescuing her bc he was in love with her), a/n: I am SO sorry that this took so long, I'm currently trying to work on my request before I open them again but I just don't have that much motivation to write rn😭, I hope you still like it:)), my first language isn't English so please respect that, I tried to write something different from what I normally do...

you two met when he was taken by omega point
after he was allowed outside of his room, and castle made sure that Aaron wouldn't destroy any more furniture, he kept seeing you on his daily walks with castle and began asking questions about you
"what's their name" Aaron looked focused, directing his question to the person joining him on his walk. Castle waited a few seconds before answering Aaron's question: "y/n, their gift is to make people believe and do everything they say" Aaron gave you another intense look before turning his attention to castle again and nodding, to signalize that he understood him.
after that he kept noticing you and eventually agreed to eat dinner with the others, just so he could sit at the same table as you and listen to your conversations with Kenji
you had been friends with Kenji for as long as you could remember, so you always sat at the same table, different friends of yours joining you both, be it Ian, Brendan, lily or the brand new members Adam, James or Juliette, with whom Kenji was especially close
but when the new omega point member, the infamous Aaron Warner joins you both you of course notice him
you also didn't miss the glances he kept sending you
so when castle, who also didn't miss the glances, asked you to train him you rushed to say yes because you just couldn't believe that a person could be so pure evil like Adam pointed him out to be
yes, he let someone tortured your best friend (which you still were pretty pissed about) but you believed that there could be something nice in him and assumed that he was under much stress due to his father, who you haven't heard a single nice thing about
his first training session was on an Tuesday afternoon, to which he arrived exactly on time and in perfect clothing, as if he somehow found a way to iron it
you started with some simple tasks to try to find out what exactly his power is and why he is immune to Juliettes touch
around three sessions later you come to then training session in your prettiest dress that you normally safe for special occasions
aaron, he demanded that you call him by his first name, immediately had one of his rare smiles spread out on his face when he saw you in that dress
he kept asking you to do a twirl so he could see the whole dress but you refused at first
it wasn't until he came closer to you, held your hands carefully in his and asked like a little puppy "please to a twirl for me, my beloved" that you made one with a shocked face
when he saw your expression he rushed to stop you and asked panicked if everything was alright
you told him that he just practiced your gift and couldn't do anything but do a twirl
after that both of you quickly figured out that his gift was to practice other peoples powers and copy them
the night after you are me in his room, trying to work on his powers
you do that until you notice him staring at you
"what's wrong Aaron?" you ask, looking concernt at the boy. you notice that he isn't smiling or grinning a bit like he normally does when you say his name. "my beloved, I- I'll have to leave in the morning. My father can't suspect that I'm here or where exactly omega point is, he'll know soon if i stay longer. I can't put you at this risk." You were shocked to say the least. "Aaron you can't- how would you even do that? Do you even know the way out?" "I wasn't really unconscious when I was brought here, you know? And I found a way to navigate myself around here in the last two months." He looks at your shocked face before adding: "But don't worry, I won't tell my dad or someone else about anything here. I'll hope that you'll miss me the same amount that I will miss you. I hope we will see each other soon again"
He doesn't let you protest any further, gives your hand a gentleman-like kiss and leaves
you had absolutely no idea where he went to, it was his room that you spent your time just mere minutes ago in, after all
still in shock you don't even think about following him, the only thought in your head being that he would be gone tomorrow and will probably spent his time with his pathetic excuse of an father
You don't even think about telling castle or someone else at omega point about Aaron leaving, and at the morning of the very next day you find out that he succeeded
days pass until each member from the rescuing mission of Brendan and Winston, who where both kidnapped my Aaron's psycho dad, Anderson, were ready and prepared to start the mission
the mission seemed to go well until you saw the bombs falling from the sky directly on the place where omega point was located
you were in shock and didn't notice the arms grabbing you and dragging you into a tank
you'd been handcuffed and your eyes were covered with a cloth
there was a voice saying something but you didn't catch was it was saying
someone forced a liquid down your throat and you soon passed out after that
the first thing that you noticed was the warm light
you sat in a kitchen chair but soon noticed that a person, who you assumed to be Anderson, Aaron's dad, because of the obvious resembles, joined you
shit
you didn't catch everything he was saying because you were still feeling dizzy from the drug you were forced to consume, something about revenge, the stupidness of his son (who apparently had joined you two), leading and shooting someone
you soon found out that with someone they meant you, when you were shot in the chest
right into your heart
being shot and drugged at the same day wasn't a nice feeling
you were bleeding and if it didn't stop soon you'd be dead in a few minutes
and if that would happen you couldn't exactly tell because you passed out
for the second time today
it was a shock, to say nicely, when you woke up next to Aaron
he immediately asked you if you were okay but you just stared at him
"I- What the fuck happened?" "my father he- he wanted to 'teach me a lesson'. I'm sorry, my beloved. If I never would've asked him to spare your life he wouldn't have tried to kill you or make me try to kill you." he rambled, trying to explain the earlier actions. But one question was still lingering in your head: "why exactly would you have asked him to spare my life?" He could've carered so much more about someone else's life than yours. Juliettes or maybe James. Besides his constant dining you were sure that he cared at least a bit for them. "Because I care for you, my beloved." You don't know what to say after this confession and just look at him and take his hand into yours.
that's how you met<33 sorry, I got carried away
anyway
that man SPOILS you
you see a pretty flower at the market? It's yours. There is a new collectors edition of your favorite book, but it's out of your price range right now? It's on your desk the next day. The limited edition vinyl that just restocked? already ordered, you get the deal
despite everything he says he actually loves dogs and you'll get one when everything with the reestablishment is over
he'll always pick out fancy colars for the dog and style it<3
he definitely has a fashion blog and posts his daily outfits on there
he'll also pick out your outfit everyday and he always tries for you two to match
every time you go shopping with Juliette and/or Kenji he insists on tagging along so you don't chose some ridiculous clothing items that would wash you out or something
he's obsessed with coffee after delalieu introduced him to it
and when you already like coffee you two have this ritual that every Sunday you guys drink a cup coffee on your balcony and just enjoy the early morning
but if you don't like coffee he always tries to get you into it and 'accidentally' places an extra cup on the breakfast table
"i promise my beloved, it's really good you just have to try it for once"
his love languages are words of affirmations and physical touch
he can't go longer than five minutes without touching you
he always has his hand rested on your lower back or holds your hand because your touch comforts and relaxes him<33
also loves to hold your pinkies
he may not look like it but he LOVES cuddling
you can't sleep anymore without you normally grumpy boyfriend squeezing you like his life depended on it
he also loves to rest his head on your belly before sleeping, while you both read something
he's so mesmerized by your presence
he tells you at least ten times a day how gorgeous, smart or lovely you are
you could literally just walk to the kitchen to get a snack and he'd drop everything to tell you how much he loves you
at the beginning of your relationship he was way more open than you expected with his feelings and already told you one month in the relationship that he loved you
I don't know why but I think he'd write you poems frequently

(gif found on pinterest!)
You were half contemplating just turning tail and going back home as you climbed the steps of the Munson’s trailer, arms laden with bags of groceries making it a little harder to keep yourself steady on the creaky stairs.
Eddie was supposed to come to your place for dinner, but had called you from the high school saying that Hellfire Club was running a lot longer than usual and that he might not make it to yours anytime soon, so you were stuck with a fridge full of ingredients for dinner and no one to make it for.
That was, until an idea popped into your head.
So now here you were, standing outside the trailer, knocking on the door to see if Wayne wanted to be your dinner buddy for tonight. You remembered Eddie telling you that Wayne worked the earlier shift on Tuesdays, so you knew he was home. The hard part now was gaining the courage to ask him. It wasn’t like you were scared of Eddie’s uncle, you’d just never really spent time with him without your boyfriend around. But it was something you wanted to change.
Before you could chicken out and turn around, the door swung open slowly to reveal a weary looking Wayne Munson peering out at you.
“Hey, kiddo,” He looked pleasantly surprised to see you, but still confused as to why you were here. “Whatcha doin’ round these parts? Eddie’s not here, if that’s who you’re looking for. Think he might still be with that club of his.”
“Yeah, we were supposed to have dinner but he called me earlier to tell me. I was, um, I was wondering if you’d eaten dinner yet?” You asked timidly, shifting on your feet.
“Oh, I was just gonna heat up some pizza from the other day. Why, what did you have in mind?”
“Do you maybe wanna have dinner together? I was supposed to make spaghetti for Eddie and I, but since he’s held up, I was wondering if I could make it…for you.” Wayne was silent for a moment, and suddenly you weren’t sure if you were overstepping any bounds by showing up here unannounced, so you quickly backtracked. “Only if you want, though. I know you probably had a long day at work and I totally get if you’d rather have some alone time before Eddie comes home—”
“Spaghetti sounds fantastic, kiddo.” He chuckled, opening the door a little wider and reaching out to relieve you of one of the bags in your hands. “Come on in.”
You beamed, shuffling inside and beelining right for the kitchen to drop your stuff on the counter before washing your hands.
Stationing himself at the counter while you prepped and cooked, Wayne kept insisting he help you with something, but after you kept telling him to relax, reluctantly gave up. Instead, he watched you bustle around the tiny kitchen like a whirlwind, occasionally snagging a handful of cheese or a noodle when he thought you weren’t looking. (You noticed every single time, but he thought he was being slick, just like his nephew.)
Wayne was a quiet guy—a lot quieter than his lovably rowdy nephew—but he was good company, entertaining you with countless stories of Eddie when he was younger as you cooked, some of which made you laugh so hard you nearly keeled over. Stories that you’d definitely be using as blackmail against your boyfriend sometime in the future.
Speaking of the future, that was one topic Wayne brought up as you were waiting for the pasta water to boil.
“So…you and Ed, you’ve been together a while,” He said awkwardly, drumming his fingers on the counter. It sounded like he didn’t quite know how to approach the subject, but was trying his best, and you appreciated his effort. “How’s that going?”
You beamed, bobbing your head happily at the mention of your Eddie. “Good! Really good. He’s the best boyfriend a girl could ask for.”
“That’s great to hear. And Ed, he’s treating you good? I have no doubt in my mind that he does, or else I’d whack him upside the head, but I gotta ask.”
“He’s amazing, Wayne. You did an incredible job raising him. He’s always saying how lucky he is that he’s always had you, and he’s right.” You replied earnestly, placing a hand over his. And you meant it. Despite all the ways Eddie could’ve turned out with the things he’d been through, he’d always had one constant in his life.
His uncle.
The man who took him in without a second thought when Eddie’s parents had dropped him on Wayne’s doorstep all those years ago.
The man who worked late nights, odd hours, and shitty jobs just so Eddie could have a decent childhood. Who bought him his first guitar, went to any Corroded Coffin gig that he could, and sat through Eddie’s endless D&D rants—not knowing what the hell he was babbling on and on about, but listened because it made Eddie happy.
The man who was more of a father to him than Eddie’s good-for-nothing jackass of a dad ever was (Eddie’s words, not yours).
You could tell that your words had touched the older man because of the way he fiddled with his fingers—just like Eddie did whenever you said something that made him feel loved.
“Thank you, kiddo.” He said quietly, patting your hand. “Eddie’s lucky to have someone like you lookin’ after him. I guess now I am too, what with this absolute feast you’re making.”
“You’re gonna make me cry, and it’s not gonna be pretty, Wayne!” You let out a watery chuckle, turning to toss the pasta into the now boiling water so the older man wouldn’t see you start to tear up at his kind words.
Soon enough, the whole trailer was filled with a mouthwatering array of smells—rich tomato sauce with garlic and herbs, fresh pasta, buttery garlic bread. Honestly, you wouldn’t be surprised if the entire trailer park was able to smell what you’d cooked.
“This…this looks fantastic, Y/N.” Wayne said softly, blinking down at the steaming plate of food in front of him like he wasn’t quite sure where to start. “Thank you for cooking for this old man.”
“Oh, Wayne, you’re not that old,” You chided, passing him a hearty piece of garlic bread. “And it was my pleasure. I really like to cook, and Eddie really likes to eat, so…”
Wayne gave an all-knowing grin, shaking his head fondly. “Don’t I know it. I used to be worried that boy would eat us out of house and home when he was younger. Still do, honestly. Ed’s got a black hole for a stomach, I swear.”
“Wonder where he gets it from?” You snickered, to which Wayne let out a booming laugh that pleasantly surprised you.
“You’re a real spitfire, aren’t ya, kiddo?”
“I like to see it as Eddie rubbing off on me,” You shrugged. “Which he probably got from you. So really, who’s to blame here?”
The older man sighed overdramatically, bowing his head in mock defeat. “That would be me, I assume.”
“I won’t confirm nor deny that statement.” You smiled sweetly, picking up your fork. “Dig in!”
-------
You’d both finished your food and were exchanging more Eddie stories by the time you heard heavy footsteps pounding up the stairs outside. Then the door banged open loudly, Eddie’s slightly winded and panicked voice filling the trailer immediately.
“Speak of the devil,” Wayne sighed, barely heard over his nephew’s incomprehensible rambling. You stifled a laugh at his faux exasperation. “I can’t understand a word you’re sayin’, Ed!”
“Sorry I can’t stay long, Uncle Wayne, I’m already super late and Y/N’s—” Eddie came to a screeching halt when he spotted you sitting across the table from his uncle, both of you with empty plates in front of you. “...here. She’s—you’re here. What—hi, sweetheart.”
“Hi Eds!” You chirped, pushing back your chair to come greet him with a kiss on the cheek.
He accepted your kiss welcomingly, arms sliding around your waist in an automatic hug like they always did when he saw you. “What’re you doing here?”
“Hangin’ out with Wayne. We’re dinner buddies now.” You said it so casually, like it was a common thing for you to hang out with his uncle when Eddie wasn’t there. Eddie’s gaze slipped over to Wayne, who just nodded back.
“Hello to you too, boy,” He grumbled, but there was a small smile on his face nonetheless.
“Hi Uncle Wayne.” Eddie mumbled sheepishly, tugging at the collar of his shirt. “I would say sorry I’m late, but you seem to have found some better company.”
“Come sit down, baby, I’ll get you some food,” You nudged him towards the table, stifling a giggle at the way he tripped over his own boots in his haste to kick them off and hurry to take a seat. “Seconds, Wayne? There’s more than enough here. Probably even enough to last you both a few meals.”
“I couldn’t possibly eat any more, kiddo, but thank you.” Wayne sighed, patting his stomach for good measure. Eddie squinted at his uncle, then you, then back at Wayne in pure confusion. “You just gonna stare at me, or d’you got somethin’ you wanna say?”
“Did you—did she come over here on her own, or did you call her?”
“Now how would I call her, Ed? She came here ‘round seven, sayin’ that you were held up and asked if I wanted to have dinner together. Obviously, I’m not one to say no to a nice home cooked dinner, so I said yes.”
Eddie couldn’t help the wide grin that broke his face, casting a glance over at you at the stove scooping some pasta onto a plate for him and feeling his heart grow three sizes in his chest. God, you really were the most perfect person alive.
“Here you go, love.” You slid the hearty plate of food in front of him, pressing a kiss to the side of his head before settling back into your seat. “Now, what were we talking about before this one barged in?”
“I believe I was telling you how Ed used to run around with his pants on his head.”
“Hey!” Eddie spluttered through a mouthful of garlic bread, gawking at his uncle incredulously. “That’s so not cool!”
“Hush, eat your dinner, boy.”
Eddie turned to you with wide eyes. “Baby, don’t believe a word he says, he—”
“Listen to Wayne, Eds, eat your spaghetti.” You hummed sweetly, patting his knee with a smile.
“You guys are so mean to me.”
-------
Later, after Eddie had finished huffing and puffing about ‘my girl and my uncle ganging up on me’ and devoured two more plates of food (bottomless pit for a stomach, indeed), dinner had been packed away with firm instructions from you on how to reheat it the best way. The dishes were done and drying, leaving Wayne to retire outside to the porch for a smoke.
The second the door swung shut behind him, Eddie all but tackled you, sweeping you into his arms and planting a messy kiss on your lips. You let out a surprised noise, but instantly returned it with much fervor, brain on autopilot. His hands splayed across the expanse of your back, pulling you as close as possible to him whilst you kissed, while yours clutched at his biceps to ground yourself.
It was hard not to get lost in Eddie when he kissed you, with how much of himself and his love for you he poured into them. Sometimes felt like you’d float away if he kissed you for too long. You wouldn’t exactly mind it too much, to be honest.
“What was that for?” You asked incredulously after he’d pulled away, bringing your hands from his arms to his shoulders to steady yourself after his kiss had chased the breath right out of your chest.
“I love you so much.” He said earnestly, pressing another peck to your lips as if to reinforce his proclamation.
“I love you too, Eds. You know that.”
“I do! I do. I just—” He let out a dreamy sigh, squeezing your hip. “Thank you.”
“For loving you?” You giggled, reaching up to brush a stray inky curl out of his face.
“No—well, yeah. But for everything. For loving me so good like you do, for thinking of Wayne when I’m not here. For being the girl of my dreams.” Eddie continued, looking more serious than you’d ever seen him before. “My perfect, sweet girl, always takin’ care of us. Should hurry up and marry you now before you come to your senses and run for the hills, shouldn’t I?”
“Oh, stop it, you kiss ass,” You huffed playfully, slapping his chest lightly.
“I think Uncle Wayne would agree. He might love you more than he loves me now.”
You laughed at that. “You’re so dramatic, baby. You’re his family, of course he loves you more.”
“I dunno ‘bout that anymore, not after today. Hell, you made him a gourmet meal, sweetheart! I’ve never made him a home cooked meal. Not like that, anyways. Most of my stuff ends up tossed out so we don’t get food poisoning.”
“It’s the thought that counts, right?”
“That’s what I say! He doesn’t see it that way though. Always grumbling about how I’m trying to send him to an early grave,” Eddie pouted childishly.
“You are trying to send me to an early grave, boy!” Wayne’s voice came drifting in through the open window, to which Eddie swore. “Don’t act like you’re not dyin’ to get rid of me!” You both knew he was just poking fun at his nephew, but Eddie rolled his eyes, burrowing deeper into your embrace to alleviate his hurt ego.
“Aw, did baby boy’s feelings get hurt?” You teased, squishing his cheeks together until his lips puckered almost comically. He struggled to still look upset, but it was no use with the way you were looking at him right now. Your smile turned his over exaggerated pout into a soft smile of his own. To him, your smile could make the clouds disappear on a dreary day.
“Super hurt.” He nodded, mock serious. “Know what would make me feel better?”
“I think I can guess, but tell me anyway.”
“A kiss.”
“Another one?!”
“Yes, another one!” Eddie huffed, shuffling the two of you over to the kitchen counter, where he nudged you onto the countertop with ease. “There’s no such thing as too many kisses in this relationship, sweetheart. Unlimited kisses or I’ll die. You don’t want me to die, do you?”
“I guess not.”
“You guess? C’mere, you little minx,” He growled playfully, pressing his lips against yours firmly. You were quick to sink into his kiss yet again, cupping his face in your hands to bring him even closer. And while Eddie always kissed you like he was trying to let you know how much he loved you, this one felt different. This one felt a little more special, and you wanted to bask in it for as long as you could.
As long as you could turned out to be not very long at all, the loud thwack of the front door banging against the wall breaking through the silence.
“Alright, simmer down, you two. I don’t need no mini Munsons runnin’ around anytime soon,” Wayne chided, very clearly back from his night smoke. “Still takin’ care of this one over here.”
“Uncle Wayne!” Eddie groaned, cheeks flaming hot under your fingertips. The older Munson merely waved his hand aimlessly in response, shuffling toward the bathroom and muttering something about how the two of you better take your lovey dovey party into Eddie’s room before he got back from getting ready for bed. Eddie squeezed his eyes shut in embarrassment, letting his forehead thunk against your shoulder miserably. “I’m sorry about him. He’s—”
“He’s just like you, Eds.” You said softly, smoothing a fond hand along his curls. Eddie made an indignant noise. “Funny, caring, heart of gold. Rough exterior but a total teddy bear on the inside?”
“I’m definitely better looking though.”
“Yeah, yeah, of course you are,” You rolled your eyes playfully, to which he whisked you off the countertop with a growled hmph, marching the two of you down the hall to his room to toss you onto his bed like you were a sack of flour.
The rest of the night was spent talking, telling Eddie embarrassing stories of yourself when you were younger to remedy the ones that Wayne had told you about him. Sleepy whispered I love you’s pressed against each other’s skin right before you fell asleep wrapped in his arms, just the way you liked it.
Soon enough, you popping over to the trailer to hang out with Wayne more often became a frequent thing, Eddie many times returning home to see the two of you sitting on the couch outside on the porch or huddled around the kitchen table, sipping hot drinks while telling each other more embarrassing stories about him. And although he wasn’t too keen on his uncle telling you about all the times he used to run around naked as a kid, he really did enjoy seeing the two most important people in his life growing closer.
Even if it did result in him being unfairly ganged up on at times.

wip it out! | thank u for the tags @sixlane and @fromagony (kissing u both!!)
stealing flowers. | jegulus.
There was a fucking thief and Regulus was hell bent on catching him if it was the last thing he ever did.
He didn’t realise it at first. Of course, he didn’t. No one ever thinks to count the flowers or notices that someone would be stealing them out of all the things in the shop. But on a Tuesday morning, Regulus refilled the stands, paying more attention to the white roses which he thought smelled quite nice but were drastically overpriced. An old lady came by sometime later on and asked Regulus when they’d be getting a new batch in, and that’s the confusing part. Because not once that day did Regulus sell anyone any white roses.
Now, the thievery didn’t happen for the rest of the week, but Regulus was so sure that whoever it was, was going to strike again the following tuesday. So, like any normal and sane-minded person, he set out to catch them instead of calling the police.
Regulus arrived earlier for his shift that day with a goddamn plan. He’d gone though it in his head at least twenty times and was certain it was fool-proof. He must’ve had around three coffees and four energy drinks coursing through him because what if the thief was a seven foot hench bodybuilder? Regulus may as well give him the rest of the flowers and anything else in the shop because he, albeit studied the art of martial arts over one summer, was about as frail as a feather in a thunderstorm.
Regulus filled the bucket with flowers before promptly ducking away behind the stack of umbrellas. He stayed there for minutes, patiently waiting for the thief so that he could execute his very well made plan. It got to the point where he was beginning to think no one was going to rob him today but as he began to move, a flicker of movement caught his eye and he froze.
Catching James Potter standing in the door of the shop, one leg in and one out while he was stealing was something Regulus never expected. His fingers picked meticulously at the white roses, holding them carefully in a batch. Regulus couldn’t look away—James’ hands moved dainitly from stem to stem, being so gentle that Regulus couldn’t even be angry or scared at the situation. Though, by default, he was both, considering James Potter was stealing from him.
That’s when Regulus, obviously, had to knock into an umbrella.
“Shit,” James muttered, freezing before standing upright and looking around. “Hello?” he called. “Hey, is someone there?”
Regulus didn’t respond. He didn’t know what to say and instead settled on resting his palms and his back flat on the wall behind him.
“I–I can explain,” James continued, adjusting the glasses on his face. “I wasn’t breaking and entering. Well, I was entering but your door was already open in my defence, so there was no breaking.”
Regulus begged to differ but it wasn’t as though he was about to tell James that. He could barely lift a finger. He knew he had to do something, anything, and he so wished he had his phone so he could text Remus for help.
“Also,” James paused, the moment laying between them as though he could tell Regulus was listening. “I found something,” he said. “a necklace?”
And Regulus jumped out immediately, brushing past the newspaper stands and coming face to face with the boy in front of him. A gust of air swept by him from the late spring winds coming in through the door, wrapping around Regulus, and for once, he was self conscious.
But then James’ face had broken into a grin. “Oh,” he sighed. “Hi.”
His arm was still firm against his chest, the flowers nestled like one of his football trophies. His eyes, clear and golden, were on Regulus, who squinted back and held out his hand, attempting to look as mean as possible. “Give me the necklace,” he said, not budging. “Now.”
In an ideal world, James would’ve given the necklace and the flowers back, apologised and then left Regulus alone forever. But instead, he rubbed the back of his neck with one hand, his face taken up by his wide teeth grin and dimples so deep that Regulus wanted to sink his finger in.
“Can’t we talk first?” he asked, amusement flowing behind his eyes and Regulus struggled to stand still. “Now that you caught me and all, you know. I didn’t think you’d be all business already, seeing as it’s only what, half eight?”
“Who steals at half eight in the morning?” Regulus blurted out, his hands clenching into a fist shape at either side of him.
“Well, I’m no proper thief but I doubt any of them have schedules and stuff.”
“Stop talking.” Regulus said. “Give me the necklace, or I’m calling the police.”
James raised his eyebrows, his smile stretching further. “Or?” he echoed.
Regulus nodded, “Yes. Give it to me and I won’t report you, and we can just–just pretend none of this ever happened.” He crossed two fingers over his chest, James’ eyes following the movement. “Promise.”
He wasn’t really going to call James in. Not only did stealing flowers seem like a stupid crime to call the police for, but if his boss found out there was a thief, she’d most likely fire him and Regulus can’t let that happen.
So it worked in his favour when James finally took a step closer to him. “Who am I to say no to an offer like that?” he said, the morning sun hitting his face just right. Up close, his eyes were bronze with specks of green dotted around, the same size as the moles scattered across his face.
“Here you go.”
James placed the necklace into Regulus’ palm, the metal cold on his skin and so different from the brief warmth he felt from James’ touch. His pulse spiked and he stuffed the necklace deep into the pocket of his jacket.
“Thanks,” Regulus said quickly, his cheeks matching the red roses next to him. He moved past James and held onto the side of the door, motioning out. “Really, thanks. See you at school—”
“Wait.” James spoke, standing in front of Regulus who huffed. “I don’t know your name.” he said, leaning on the door. “I’m James.”
“I know.” Regulus’ voice stayed calm. “And you really shouldn’t introduce yourself to the workers of shops you steal from.”
James looked down at the roses he held onto, his brows creasing. “Oh. Well, that’s what I wanted to talk to you about.”
“It’s fine,” Regulus gritted out, his hand holding onto the door. “We just got that batch in actually, but it’s fine. I just n—”
James interrupted him. “Wait. So, you’re okay with me taking your flowers?”
“No fucking way,” Regulus shook his vigorously. “Definitely not. I’m actually not okay with any of this which is why I need you to leave right now.”
Neither of them spoke for a couple of seconds and for the first time that morning, James’ smile faltered. He nodded, “Okay. Okay, yeah, I’ll leave.” he said. “But I wouldn’t be here if I absolutely didn’t need to be. And I can show you why–”
Regulus formed another great plan at that moment. It was quick and stupid but needed to be done. And as soon as James moved himself from the door, Regulus leapt out of the way and crashed it into the frame, pushing James out while doing so.

Jess Mariano x Reader
Pairing: Jess Mariano x reader
Warnings: none
Summary: it's cold outside and Jess helps you out
Word count: 1.1k
Tumblr media
You’d been walking around town for a while now, the chilly night air starting to get to you. You rubbed your arms to get some semblance of warmth as you tried to think of what to do. You didn't want to go home, not with your mother bound to be there. After the vicious fight you two had, you had no longing to be anywhere near her, which unfortunately left you with no place to sleep tonight. You knew you should go back, you knew it would be the smart, reasonable thing to do, but you just couldn't bring yourself to do it as you remembered the words your mother had spat at you as she stared at you with revulsion.
Of course you’d had fights with your mother before, but when she wanted she could be particularly cruel, and tonight she had certainly wanted to be cruel. She was pissed at you because you’d failed an important test at school, a failure she said had to do with a certain raven-haired boy currently residing above Luke’s diner. She believed that Jess was a bad influence on you and since you'd refused to stop hanging out with him, your mother sought other ways to convince you he was bad, namely blaming every single failure you had onto him. You were sick of defending him to your mother whenever you made a mistake, and so you had said some things you shouldn’t have, which caused the massive fight to implode, and here you were. Walking around Stars Hollow late on a Tuesday night with nowhere to sleep.
You were about to relent and go home, wondering if you’d be able to sneak into your second story window, when you heard someone call your name.
“Y/n.”
You looked up and found Jess leaning out of his window, staring at you with a slight smirk and smug expression.
“Jess?” you asked in disbelief.
His smirk widened “Y/n. Enjoy your walk?”
Your brows furrowed in confusion. “What?”
“Seen you walking around for a while. Cold night for a stroll, don’t you think?”
You let out a huff, crossing your arms as you stared at the boy you were so reluctantly fond of.
“Shut up,” you muttered, though you made sure you were loud enough for him to hear you.
“I’m guessing that means you don’t want to come in for a hot chocolate.”
Your head perked up as you stared at him. “Are you offering?”
Jess rolled his eyes. “I wouldn’t very well say it if I wasn’t offering, would I?”
You grinned and walked up to the diner, crossing your arms to savour any warmth you might have while you waited for Jess to come downstairs. How slow could he be? Eventually you saw the diner light up and Jess walk towards the door, his stride leisurely despite the fact you were contracting hypothermia right that second.
Jess did open the door though, and as soon as he did you were inside, as far from the door as possible as you felt your whole body shiver in delight at the change of temperature. Maybe you wouldn’t contract hypothermia after all.
Jess snorted at your reaction and started making the hot chocolate while you trailed behind him, unused to being in the diner when everyone else was gone.
“Where’s Luke?” you asked, eyes darting around the place as if Luke would spawn there any moment.
Jess shrugged, his back to you as he stirred the hot chocolates. “Out at something. Can’t quite remember. He’s not gonna be back till later.”
You raised your eyebrows, checking your watch which said 11:45pm. “When exactly is later?”
Jess shrugged again. “I dunno. Later.”
You rolled your eyes but gratefully accepted the warm cup of hot chocolate he placed into your hands. You took a sip, burning your tongue slightly but you didn’t care. It was nice and warm and you were still so cold after spending most of the night outside with the snow in just a flimsy cardigan.
“You look cold,” Jess observed over his hot chocolate.
“You don’t say?”
Jess placed his mug on the counter. “I’m serious. How long were you out there?”
You checked your watch again. “I don’t know. A few hours? I left just after dinner so…”
Jess didn’t need to ask why. You’d complained enough about your mother that Jess knew when you had a fight it tended to be big, and staying outside while it snowed for hours was a pretty clear sign that whatever happened had been big.
Jess sighed. “You’re an idiot, you know that? Come on, I’ve got blankets upstairs.”
Jess took your hand and you complied, though you brought your hot chocolate with you. When you arrived in Luke and Jess’s tiny apartment, Jess led you to his bed where there were clothes, books, and most importantly, blankets scattered across the area.
You carefully placed you cup on a table and found one of Jess’s jumpers to put on, as well as not one, not two, but three blankets that you wrapped tightly around you. Still, you couldn’t stop the chills racking your body from all your time outside. Jess had sat next to you on his bed and was quietly watching you while you froze away, until he let out a frustrated sigh and tugged you towards him.
“What are you doing-“
You didn’t get to finish before Jess ripped you of every layer you had just wrapped yourself in – minus the jumper – and you squawked in outrage. Jess ignored you, rewrapping both of you in the cocoon of blankets and pulling you closer until your head rested against his chest.
“There,” he said. “Body heat.”
You rolled your eyes but nestled further into his embrace, feeling the delicious heat surround you. The two of you stayed there like that, holding on to one another, until you tilted your head to look up at him.
“Thank you,” you said. “For doing this.”
Jess raised an eyebrow. “Doing what, exactly?”
You shrugged. “Letting me stay over, keeping me warm, the hot chocolate.”
Jess looked at you silently before carefully brushing some hair away from your face. His hand stopped on your face, before a slow smile crept across his face.
“You’re all good,” he said quietly, tugging you closer to him.
You placed your head into the crook of his neck so he couldn’t see you smiling, and slowly, as you listened to the steady beat of Jess’s heart and felt some feeling come back to your fingers and toes, you drifted to sleep, wrapped up in Jess’s embrace.

i come to your inbox with Heavily Researched News™ (i listened to off track and did some quick googling) containing info for your 'a lesson in braking' alex.
so, in 2022 there was a huge prank pulled on conor daly on day one of the indy500 (dubbed Beadgate), where someone filled his hot tub with what he estimated was 400,000 orbeez. his top list of suspects were josef newgarden, callum ilott, tony kanaan, colton herta, kyle kirkwood and scott mclaughlin.
in hindsight, daly thought he'd heard some noise outside his trailer
'there was a lot of guilty faces in the paddock this morning, and i can’t figure out which one is the culprit,' daly said. 'it’s a tough scene. i think the primary suspects are the dads of the indycar community, too, because apparently children like to fill up these little fake guns with water balls and shoot them at people.'
newgarden called daly that night 'in a very scared manner' to try to convince daly that he wasn't guilty of the prank. daly suspected callum of being involved 'cause he was hanging out with him a lot as he was looking for the culprit and wondered if callum is keeping himself close to the situation to throw daly off.
callum meanwhile, claimed he’s innocent because he wasn’t prepared for the shenanigans to ensue so quickly. (but as a rookie, he was fully prepared for being pranked himself and had bought supplies to retaliate if that was the case)
ilott said that it was a genius and clever prank and wondered why daly was considering him a prime suspect and why alexander rossi wasn’t being considered at all.
kirkwood said he spent $40 on chlorine and test tubes to keep the hot tub running properly so why would he ruin it?
marco andretti also wondered why nobody was considering rossi, as well as james hinchcliffe.
'I’m so busy worrying about my race car right now, but it is funny to look at on social media,' andretti said. 'hinch has some time on his hands. rossi is always a culprit, isn’t he?'
but rossi claimed to have an alibi 'cause he and hinch was with daly as it happened on monday night, so he couldn't have done it... right?
wrong. guess what?? turns out he really should have listened to callum and andretti 'cause it very much was alex (with the help of sage karam) who filled daly's hot tub with 1.76 million orbeez (which cost him 483 dollars which was almost as much as the hot tub itself btw). he just didn't do it on monday night, he did it on tuesday morning.
and this is how he confessed:
Tumblr media
daly's reaction to finding out btw:
Tumblr media
and alex explained it all in detail on the 'off track' (don't know which episode, i watched the youtube clip titled 'the hot tub prank') where he claimed to have done legitimate research into how many orbeez it would take to fill a 242 gallon portable hot tub (which is apparently how large daly's hot tub is), which honestly? very believeable to me.
the cherry on top of it all? the way daly found out about the prank to begin with. 'cause daly had guests over and he wanted to show them his brand new hot tub.... cue him lifting the lid on the hot tub and finding 1.75 million orbeez instead of water.
and the reason behind this hilarious prank??? daly did this to rossi TWO YEARS EARLIER in 2020:
Tumblr media
so essentially, when it comes to pranking alexander rossi? fuck around and find out.
…so when I said alib Alex breaking the water pump in the fountain at school…where he dumped a fuck ton of soap in there senior year…after researching which brand of soap would produce the most bubbles…I was actually underestimating the lengths he would go to?
Jasmine honest to god this is the best possible Alexander lore dump you could have given me. I am absolutely in tears. What the actual FUCK goes on in his brain??? He plotted, he planned, he did THE MATH to figure out how many fucking orbeez he would need to fill this thing? Because…the wheels were taken off his golf cart TWO YEARS PRIOR??!!
He’s so insane, he’s so absolutely crazy insane. Nearly $500 on orbeez beads…I love him. I opened this ask with absolutely no idea where tf it was going and now I am sitting here laughing so hard I am actually in tears. I can’t get over the image of him researching this. He absolutely was not fucking around.
And not only did he own up to it, he shows the actual receipts. My respect for his commitment is through the roof rn. When people say race car drivers are competitive this is actually what they mean. I am now also a little scared of him and his unwavering resolve to finish what is started.
What I’ve gathered from this is you should probably never engage in a prank war with Alexander Rossi. It is a guaranteed loss and he will decimate you to the point that you are preparing to proudly show off your brand new possession, only to find it has been broken by toxic water balls.
