hi bug! can I please request the dialogue prompt “Hold up, she said what?” with steve and shy!reader? maybe she is robin’s friend and robin tells steve something reader said (maybe that she thinks steve is cute or nice or something of the sort), and it leads to a cute conversation between the two?
ty for requesting angel!! — steve finds out the cute girl at the record store likes him and decides to bring her ice cream as a proclamation of love (shy!fem!reader, friends to lovers, tooth-rotting fluff, 2.3k)
blurbcember ⋆⁺₊⋆ ❄ ⁺₊⋆ ❄
“Wait, wait, wait,” Steve interjects suddenly, a metal scoop in his hand and a wild look in his eye. “She said what?”
Robin fumbles with the metal tub of Peppermint-Chip ice cream she’s refilling. It clangs when she drops it into place with haphazard care. The shop goes unusually silent without her rambling to fill the dead air. Holly, Jolly Christmas crackles quietly from the broken speakers overhead.
The girl blinks at him with a wide ocean gaze. Her rogue-tinted mouth falls softly agape. She knows she’s said the wrong thing, but she can’t remember what.
“...Huh?”
“What’d you just say?”
Her doe eyes flit to the left for a moment. It takes her a second or more to recall the words she’d only just said. She does this thing sometimes where she rambles on and on about nothing, and Steve was the first person in the whole world to let her. So it’s way too easy for her to tell him a billion things at once and forget about all of them a second later.
“That the music store just got new cassettes in?” Robin answers, her gritty voice a few octaves higher than usual.
Steve nods slow and with a crooked grin that pulls at the corners of his mouth. He rests his elbow on the glass case above the ice cream and eggs her on. “After that?”
“…That you and the pretty new girl that works there have the same taste in music?”
“Before that.”
“That she said she wanted to show you the new tapes,” she says, wincing with the realization that she had, in fact, said the wrong thing. A secret she swore not to tell has just spilled from her lips without her even knowing it.
“And?” Steve lilts with a wider, rosier smile.
“Because she likes you…” Robin confesses (or rather, re-confesses) with her teeth gritted.
Even though Steve had heard her perfectly the first time, hearing it the second makes his heart skip a beat. The pulsing organ lurches into his throat. He almost forgets how to breathe.
“She likes me?” he repeats, mostly whispering, with an incredulous gape of shock. His bushy brows raise until his forehead wrinkles. His eyes go wide until the honey of them starts to glimmer.
Despite her best friend’s lovesick disposition, Robin’s freckled face hardens. “I wasn’t supposed to tell you that,” she rumbles like a storm cloud, knocking her shoulder against his when she walks by him.
“Why?” Steve retorts like a child, following behind her just the same.
He nearly bumps into her when she stops short at the deep freezer. She returns the cloth mits she carried the ice cream in with after spending her whole break organizing the case by color. Steve could never even be bothered to put the damn things back where they belonged in the first place.
“Because I swore to her I wouldn’t,” Robin agonizes, then whips around to face him again. Her features are twisted like a hurt puppy as she pleads. “Don’t tell her I said anything either, okay? She’ll hate me.”
Steve wasn’t planning on it. Not because he thought it might make you hate her, though. He’s not entirely sure you’re capable of that.
He’s only known you for a few months — ever since the leaves started changing color and people traded their ice cream cones for cool music at the new record store. He spent half that time admiring you across the landing, but you’ve never been anything but gentle with him. You were soft, with a soul of sunshine.
He didn’t know it was possible to be made of sunlight until he met you.
“Well, did you tell her I liked her back?” he presses, hoping Robin might’ve done some of the hard work for him.
Her face screws up like she’s tasted something sour. “No.”
“Why not?”
“Because I promised you I wouldn’t.”
Steve shoots her a deadpanned look.
Robin caves.
“It’s not like I meant to tell you she liked you just now, okay? It just came out!” she explains, gesturing wildly with her hands. “Maybe next time I stick my foot in my mouth around the new girl, I’ll tell her that you’re obsessed with her, and the two of you can finally start dating instead of making sex eyes at each other all the time.”
He wouldn’t put that past her. Robin the Mastermind, Robin the Blabbermouth, Robin the Matchmaker. But his fluttering heart is pumping with too much adrenaline now. He feels like he could move mountains with the knowledge of your affections — knowing that all his own big, fuzzy, suffocating feelings have been reciprocated all this time.
If he doesn’t talk to you now, he’s scared he’ll never work up this kind of courage again.
“No. Screw that,” he concludes with a shake of his head. He’s in King Steve mode now — feeling half as suave as he used to back when the whole town was falling at his feet — chest puffed and ego reeling. “I’m gonna go talk to her.”
Robin watches, dumbfounded, as he dumps a scoop of their best-selling ice cream into a paper bowl. Another tub she’ll have to refill. Steve ducks under the counter door and heads for the exit. “Wait— what am I supposed to do?” the girl shouts across the empty store.
Now out in the bustling Starcourt mall and taking short strides towards the music store, Steve spins on his heel to face her. He shrugs and readjusts the sailor’s cap on his head. “Wait for me to get back.”
—————
You’ve been banished to the back of the store.
Not exactly. But that’s what it feels like.
You got a bit too overwhelmed working the front counter, and since Eddie’s crazy soft on you, he let you put up all the Christmas decorations he’d been putting off instead. It’s a win-win situation, really.
You’re stringing up sparkling tinsel over the rows of records when a deep blue sailor’s uniform catches your eye. Looking over your shoulder, you find Steve in all his glorysauntering towards you. He’s wearing shorts even though it’s basically winter now in Indiana. He’s beaming at you like sunshine anyway.
Beneath the amber glow of the dimly lit store, he looks borderline angelic. Almost unfairly ethereal.
“What’s that?” you wonder with a smile you don’t even know is there, nodding to the Scoops Ahoy brandedcup in his hand.
You can almost smell the syrup-cinnamon concoction of the ice cream he holds in his palm. Or maybe that’s just Steve, and the sugary sweetness is radiating from his pores after working in a confectionary shop during the holidays.
He looks at you even sweeter.
“New flavor,” he answers vaguely, smirking as he leans against the metal shelves. He stumbles slightly when it rocks beneath his weight. “Oops. Sorry. It’s, uh— It’s pancake chunks with maple syrup swirl. I call it Wake and Bake.”
A giggle tumbles from your lips when he hands it to you. “Eddie’s gonna love that,” you murmur.
“Well, it’s actually called Breakfast in Bed, but— I don’t know— I thought my idea was better.”
“Way better,” you concur with a nod and a pretty smile.
Steve watches with attentive honey eyes as you spoon a bite into your mouth. He feels a bit like it’ll be his fault if you hate it. His irrational need to impress you always makes him feel hopelessly inadequate.
“Woah,” you hum without your mouth still a little full. The cream melts softly on your tongue, tasting of a sweet and early morning. “This is really good.”
His brows raise, and his eyes widen. “Yeah?” he wonders. Your words wash over him like a compliment for a reason he can’t name. It feels good to make you feel good.
“Mhmm. I might have to come by after work and buy the rest of it, actually,” you joke with a curt shrug. It’s a feeble confession — your way of telling him that you want to see him more because you could never say the real thing out loud.
Your heart sinks when Steve shakes his head. Then swells when he smiles.
“No way,” he scoffs, lips curling into a lopsided grin. “I’m not gonna let you pay for it— that’s crazy.”
“You can’t keep giving me free ice cream, Steve—”
“What my manager doesn’t know won’t hurt him,” he lilts lowly and with a cool shrug that makes you melt. He goes very distinctly soft when he looks at you, all scruffy-faced and sweet-eyed.
It’s suffocatingly beautiful. You crack under the pressure of it.
“Well, uh— Thanks for the— ice cream,” you stammer and motion the bowl back to him. Thanks for stopping by and keeping me company, but you’re too pretty and I’m not sure how much longer I can take it, you don’t say.
“You don’t want the rest?” he asks with pinched brows.
“I just… should probably get back to work, you know?”
“Eddie doesn’t let you take breaks?”
“No, he does,” you answer quickly, shifting your weight on your feet. It becomes virtually impossible to meet his gaze. “Just not with…”
Steve’s brows raise when you trail off. “Not with me?” he finishes with a laugh.
“Well, not with the… pretty-boy-ice-cream-slinger in the sailor’s uniform,” you correct, then quickly follow. “His words. Not mine.”
In all honesty, Steve couldn’t care less about what Eddie Munson has to say about him. If Hawkins’s local freak is the only thing standing between him and the pretty girl at the music store, he’s down to break a couple of dumb rules.
He takes a small step towards you. His pink smirk widens. You swear your heart stops when he looks at you with it. “You don’t think I’m pretty?” he teases with a twinkle in his squinted eye.
Suddenly, there’s a frog in your throat and you’re fourteen all over again. You’re flustered and drowning and totally unsure of yourself. “I didn’t say that,” you mutter, gaze flittering and smile wavering.
Steve goes to rest his elbow on the shelf again, then remembers its unsteadiness and decides against it. His arm rests awkwardly in the air for half a moment before he crosses both of them over his chest.
“Well, I mean, you didn’t not say it, so…”
You squint up at him, busying your clammy hands with the melting ice cream in your palm. You know what he’s fishing for. Your pride urges you to stay silent even though your heart sings the sweetest songs for him.
“You know you’re pretty, Steve,” you murmur matter of factly.
“But do you think I’m pretty?”
Your thundering heart lurches into your throat when Steve takes another small step closer. He smells like wintertime — like Christmas and nostalgia and boy. You don’t trust your voice to answer him verbally, so you nod, slow and sheepish.
“Good,” he hums with a beam he couldn’t hide if he tried. “‘Cause I think you’re pretty, too.”
Your chest gets all sparkly at his admission — the affirmation that all your girlish feelings are being reciprocated by a boy you never dreamed you could have. You don’t feel hardly deserving of the fondness dripping from his features, but you pray he never stops looking at you with it.
You grow warm with the irrational hope that he might kiss you. You think he might actually kiss you until your boss’s voice pierces the golden bubble of puppy love the both of you are basking in.
“How’s the decorating going?” Eddie announces himself, appearing suddenly between the two aisles.
Robin idles at his side. She’s in the feminine version of Steve’s sailor outfit — with silver chains around her neck and bandaids on her knees. Effortlessly endearing and totally unaware of it all.
You push Steve away from you without thinking, all but shoving the softening ice cream into his chest. Some of it smears white against the scarlet tie around his chest. “Sorry!” you exclaim in your moment of fleeting panic, then turn to Eddie with the same apologetic wince. “Sorry…” you repeat quieter.
“Robin?” Steve gapes at the sight of his best friend — apparently the second thing standing in his way, right beside the freak. “What the hell are you doing here— did you tattle on me? What are you, four?”
“I got lonely,” the brunette answers plainly. “And I knew you were around here somewhere, so I asked Eddie where you were—” She waves a pale hand your way, fingers painted with chipping maroon polish.  “—And now I’m here.”
Eddie grins wide and tilts his wild head to his shoulder. “Yeah. Can’t believe you’re trying to taint my one good employee, Steven.”
“I’m not tainting anybody, Munson,” he bites back like a bickering brother, then screws up his face and turns to Robin. “Wait. If you’re here, who’s manning the counter?”
Her freckled face falls like a child caught in a fib. Her deep blue eyes widen when she blinks at him. In a mousier voice, she confesses, “Dustin came by… And I told him he could eat all the ice cream he wanted as long as he made sure no one stole anything.”
The four of you fall silent. The soft rock of Christmas Wrapping plays weakly from the radio at the front of the store. Eddie breaks first. ‘Cause he can’t ever be serious about anything.
The boyish sound of his laughter sends a giggle sputtering from your lips. The pretty noise makes Steve smile despite his baffled disbelief.
He turns to you with a dumbfounded grin. “You’re still stopping by after work, right?”
“Yeah,” you answer softly, nodding as your smiling face grows hot.
Eddie scoffs when Steve walks by him. “If you still have a job by then.”

✩—RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS:
It's far past his scheduled time for sleep.
A bitter taste is bubbling up in his throat and frothing against his tongue. Riddle doesn't know what this wretched feeling is. All he knows is that he's terrified. Perhaps that's why he allows himself to disturb your sleep, the maddening emotions slamming against his head becoming too much for him to handle.
"I-I apologize for waking you," Riddle rasps, slipping into your shared bed and burrowing his face deep into the crook of your neck. His breaths come out in quick and fleeting puffs, heart thrumming hard against his ribs.
In the dimness of the night, the myriad of mangled and torn-up books that were strewn and flung about the room in a frenzied fury could hardly be seen. Your gaze flickered down to your lover. The tips of Riddle's fingers were a blistering raw red, his once well-groomed nails now visibly chipped at its ends.
With a touch of your tender hands, you pull him down to rest against your chest.
"What's wrong?"
"I–I just…I recalled the incident of my overblot and how I hit you with that blast. H-How you nearly—" Clamping his eyes tight, Riddle dared not to finish that sentence. The boy trembles in your arms—ears fervently straining to hear the steady and melodic thump of your heart, a melody he feared he would never hear again.
A choked sob tumbles from his lips and your chest aches.
"…I'm sorry," was his quiet cry. "I'm so sorry."
Tumblr media
✩—LEONA KINGSCHOLAR:
Peacefully fast asleep, your back was nestled snug against the Leona's chest while his firm bicep protectively curled around your ribs.
Over the course of your relationship, Leona began to realize how much he loved having you in his arms. You were at peace when you slept, untouched and untainted by the stress and pain you dealt with every day.
He crept his free hand up your torso, cold fingers slipping underneath your shirt, skimming up your stomach, and settling above the spot on your chest where your heartbeat danced vividly against his touch. Leona splays his fingers out more, fixated on how the thrum of your life felt against his skin.
It was a daily struggle to keep his emotions at bay, ensuring that his strong feelings and magic wouldn't hurt you again. The nightmarish phantom of his blot still haunts him to this day. That wrath was an ugly and hideous beast he wished to keep locked away in the depths of his mind for all of eternity.
Yet, at the soft beat of your delicate heart against his sullied hands—Already, Leona finds himself wavering, uncharacteristically weak.
An overpowering mix of stress and strain washes over him, pooling up into watery blobs and flowing down his cheeks in faint streaks as he silently wept.
"Fuck," Leona curses, pulling your dozing form closer to him. "Fuck. Fuck, I'm sorry. You don't deserve this."
Tumblr media
✩—AZUL ASHENGROTTO:
The torment of nightmares was far worse than he remembered, but this dread he felt was unquestionably different, pressing in on him like a frigid cold. The icy sensation seeps into the marrows and dips of his flesh—his sole respite being your touch, which both warmed and scorched at his skin.
"Angelfish." Azul breathlessly sputtered, blindly patting around the bed in search of your body.
Through the fringes of his blacked out vision, he could barely make out your worried drowsy visage. This caused him to panic, pulse picking up, but you were quick to soothe him—reaching a hand out to press against his cheek. Finally finding you, the octo-mer pulled you towards his side of the bed, engulfing you in a tight hug.
Azul tried to stop the flood of tears that layered his face, but your soft lips strewn with kisses on his skin seemed to further elicit his unceasing cries.
"I'm not going anywhere, Azul. I'm here." You whisper, cradling his face, but he was inconsolable. The octo-mer desperately clawed at your shirt as he pressed his ear deeper against your chest, practically melting into you.
The throbs of your heart echoed through his anguished mind, providing him with some semblance of comfort.
"Don't go….Please…" Azul sputters, body shaking from every deep, labored heave of his burning lungs, "Please."
Tumblr media
✩—JAMIL VIPER:
A strangled scream awoke you from your abyssal sleep, your bleary eyes ripping open to dart here and there around the room in a manic frenzy. The ensuing shattering smash of a glass further threw your thoughts into disarray.
"Jamil?!"
Your lover had stumbled off of the bed, now kneeling against the wooden flooring with the bedsheets pooling around his hips, sheets damp from the shattered glass of water on the floor.
A bloody hand clenched at his palpitating heart, glass shards digging into his skin, as his lungs fought to maintain his breathing.
You sprang from the mattress and skidded in his direction, but Jamil scrambled away from you.
"Albi, no. There's glass. Stay away. You're going to get hurt," Jamil stammered. Holding a shaky hand up, the boy avoided your gaze.
"Jamil—" Brows pinched together, you eased towards him. "I'm not going to get hurt, don't worry."
You stepped over the shards of crystal glass with caution and made your way past, "See?"
Once you were within his reach, Jamil caved in and slowly brought you into his arms—careful with his injury. He could feel the distant sting of the cuts on his hands, but he couldn't bring himself to care.
Leaning down, he lay his head over your heart. Even though the batter of your heart was frantic and panicked, it somewhat provided a steady beat for him to follow as he worked to untangle the complexities in his thoughts. Your lover sunk against you, anchoring himself against the warmth your body radiated.
Tumblr media
✩—IDIA SHROUD:
As the minutes pass, Idia was rapidly losing every meagre amount of confidence he managed to scrape together.
"Idia…honey? Please get up." You croon, running a hand through his flaming hair.
Though it seemed as if he didn't hear anything—Idia kept his head glued against your beating chest, refusing to get up from his position on the floor.
He's been kneeling before you for so long that the rough fabric of his pants burned and skidded against the tender skin of his knees, sending excruciating stings along the threads of his flesh.
"I—No…N-No…I can't." Idia's lips quiver, eyes glossing over as he diverts his gaze. The weight of his arms lay heavy against your legs, elbows resting by your knees while his dull nails dug into the skin at the back of your thighs.
"Why's that?" You whisper.
Idia shut his eyes. The flash of numerous dreams and nightmares he's suffered at the hands of his own demented twisted memories clouded his mind. It did not help that they were all molded out of his own self-inflicted pessimism...cruel and unforgiving. A reason as to why he couldn't bear to look at you tonight, not when the image of your mangled body was still fresh on his mind.
"I-I'm s-sor-sorry…I ca-can't get up…I need to…” he stumbles for words, his breathing picking up its pace. "I need to…need to know you're okay."
Tumblr media
✩—VIL SCHOENHEIT:
"Vil…" You worriedly murmur, pressing your lips against his mascara-stained cheeks, not minding the bitter aftertaste it left lingering in your mouth.
Laying atop the plush silk sheets of his king-sized bed, the dorm leader's eyes were ripped wide open as his chest heaved viciously. It was quite a rare sight as your lover lay vulnerable before you, heart bared open.
Oh, he was an absolute mess.
Dark streams of teary mascara ran down Vil's cheeks, his uniform wrinkled and his golden hair splayed out everywhere—unbound from its braids and tangled up.
The grip of his arms around your midsection tightens as he pressed you up closer against him, his head resting atop your chest. At the sound of your heartbeat, Vil allowed himself to unwind and let your affections banish away even the most ominous of his thoughts.
"Liebling…Es tut mir ehrlich Leid—" Vil rasps, his mother tongue dripping like honey from his lips as he suddenly found it difficult to speak the language he was so accustomed to every day.
Hushing him, you press a fleeting kiss against his brow line and Vil clamps his red-rimmed eyes shut, ceasing to say anything more.
"Hush now. Rest, my prince." You press a gentle kiss to his temple and brush the frizzes of his blonde hair away from his face.
A small smile quirks on his lips as he feels his stomach fluttering from the nickname. The look in his eyes is softly lit, warm like a candle.
Tumblr media
✩—MALLEUS DRACONIA:
One day, Malleus knows, you will be nothing more than wilted and withered ash.
It was a truth that wrapped around him like shackling chains—tearing, whipping and lashing against his raw, bare skin. No matter how hard he pulled, scratched, and screamed at it, the chains remained.
The clanging and grating iron truth about reality cannot be so easily pushed away. Human lives are fickle, and you would inevitably leave him.
Once you do, the fae prince knows he will be a mere shadow of his former self, a wretched and lonesome creature awaiting and longing for his lover who was no more than a ghost of his fleeting memories.
"I apologize for the disturbance, my treasure."
And yet, Malleus presses his hand firmly against your beating heart. A distant marching beat serving as his reminder that you were very much alive and well.
"I truly apologize." Malleus heaves, hands clamouring against your collarbone.
Although thick tension and silence still hung heavy in the air, the dragon basked in the warmth and feel of your flushed skin, a bitter smile gracing his lips as he lay beside you on the bed.
"Sweet dreams, beastie…"

Aaron going through boxes of old stuff and finding a journal of yours from a long time ago. He opens it out of curiosity and reads about how your younger self always wanted to be called princess from a significant other so he tries it out along with buying a nice bouquet of flowers 🤭
Aaron’s cheeks were almost hurting by smiling all day, because he was surrounded by boxes of your belongings that would soon be all over his house. Your house.
One certain box with the word “memories” in capital letters written on it though, drew his attention. Opening it, he was met with a few books, magazines, cards, and concert tickets.
At the bottom of the box, there was a pink journal with your name decorating its cover.
It looked personal, but it also looked like it was from a long time ago. He couldn’t help it, and with his curiosity getting the better of him, he opened it.
The pages were filled with pink glittery letters, little drawings, and stickers of Disney princesses and Barbie characters.
He smiled with affection while turning the pages and seeing what your younger self used to fill her journal with. He almost skipped a page when his eyes fell on the title written on top of it.
“My dream boy!”
Oh, this is gonna be interesting, he thought.
Aaron found himself competing with the ideal version of a boyfriend your teenage self had. He went through every single point you had written down, and mentally checked it.
That version of you, was still part of who you were today, and the last thing he wanted was to disappoint you or not be enough.
Tall – check.
Dark hair – check.
Sweet – check, well to you at least.
Brings me flowers – check.
Calls me princess – not check.
Princess, huh? That was new.
He knew that you were big on pet names, but princess had never occurred to him before.
A smirk grew on his face. It was time to see if your tastes had changed.
--
Just the day after, Aaron made sure to visit a flower shop after work and buy your favorite flowers. If he was gonna try something, he was going to do it right.
He found you sitting on the couch, eating a bag of chips and scrolling on your phone, some show on the TV playing in the background. You left it open for company when he wasn’t there and something inside him stung a little.
“Baby?”
You threw your head back on the couch and looked up at him as he moved closer. “You’re home,” you sighed with a smile. “Missed you.”
“I did too.” He leaned down to kiss you on the lips and brought the flowers he was hiding behind his back in front of you. “That’s why I decided to get some flowers to my princess.”
Your face lightened up at the sight of the beautiful bouquet and the sound of the pet name. “Aaron!”
You stood up on the couch and threw yourself at him, hugging him with a force that could bring down a bear. “Thank you!”
“You like them, honey?”
“I love them.”
Aaron sighed at the feeling of your lips on his neck, as you left little kisses on the curve of it. “Anything for my princess.”
Your face was still hidden in the crook of his neck but Aaron could feel you laughing.
“What are the giggles for?”
“Nothing…”
He pulled back just enough so he could look at your face, and grabbed your chin softly. You averted your eyes from him as if you had something to hide.
“Y/N?”
“It’s nothing!” you insisted. “I just like to be called that,” you added quietly, playing with a button from Aaron’s shirt. You still wouldn’t look at him.
“To be called what?” he asked.
“Princess…”
“I know.” He smirked.
“What do you mean?”
“I read it in your diary.”
“What?” you raised your voice and he couldn’t help but laugh.
“I found it through your old stuff.”
“Aaron, I’m gonna kill you!”
“I’m sorry!”
“No, you’re not. You’re laughing.”
“Oh come on, it got you what you wanted.”
“Shut up,” you said , furrowing your brows.
The two of you sat on the couch and he tried to pull you into his arms. After showing resistance for a few seconds, you let him hold you.
“What else did you read?”
“I saw the whole list. About your dream guy.”
“I don’t remember adding ‘he reads my journal without permission’,” you said.
“I do have all the rest though,” he said with a cocky smile.
“You do, I guess,” you admitted, rolling your eyes. “I was manifesting.”
“I hope you’re happy with the guy the universe sent you then, princess.”
“Ah…” you threw your head back with a lovesick smile. “And it's only getting better.”

Chocolate Chip Pancakes.
(Rockstar!Dad!Eddie Munson x Mom!Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(A/n: there's no song connected to this one, I just got bored and came up with a cute little story because two things have been in my mind 24/7- Rockstar Eddie and Dad Eddie. So I mixed them, please enjoy idk what I'm really doing here-)
‼️Warnings: LOTS of fluff, kissing, little kiddos, teasing of smut but doesn't happen bc of kiddos 😔, but that's really it ig- tell me if I forgot something.‼️
—————————————
The Saturday, LA sun shined through the curtains right onto your face, slowly waking you up to the feeling of warmth on your face.
A small sigh fell from your nose as your eyes fluttered openly slowly, turning your head slightly to see your husband already awake.
Eddie was laying on his side, his brown curls wild from sleep and his brown doe eyes soft with a tired tint in them- his head rested in his hand as he looked down at you with a little tired grin, slightly making it obvious he had been staring at you when you were sleeping.
"How long have you've been watching me-" you mumbled tiredly while slowly closing your eyes again, causing Eddie to let out a small chuckle as he picked his head up from his hand.
"Long enough my sweetheart~" he hummed, moving his lips right next to your ear which caused a small shudder to run down your spine.
Eddie seemed to take notice, letting out another low chuckle as he pressed a small kiss on the back of your ear, slowly moving his small trail of kisses down your neck as you tried to wake yourself up.
"Ed- baby... it's too early for this-" you whined quietly, lazily pushing him away as you opened your eyes slightly, your actions doing nothing to the metalhead as he just smirked against your skin, continuing to kiss at your exposed neck.
As Eddie moved his lips more downwards in the crook of your neck, your eyes slowly fluttered shut as you let out a small hum, obviously enjoying it in some way as you slowly tilted your head to the side, giving him more access to your neck.
Eddie just let out a small chuckle against your skin, lightly sucking and nibbling at your skin as shaky breaths fell from your lips.
As Eddie started to slowly make his way to hover over you, you hear the sound of your guys bedroom door slamming as the door swings open- causing your eyes to shoot open and Eddie to quickly pull away.
You sat up slowly as your ears filled with the sound of tiny excited shrieks from your two young daughters, causing you to wince slightly since it was still pretty early.
"Girls-! Girls-! Come on ladies, tone it down please." Eddie called out, raising his voice slightly as the shrieking seemed to hurt his ears as well.
The young girls just quickly climbed onto the bed, trading their playful shrieks to giggles as they quickly got on all fours, crawling their way up to the top of the bed to cuddle with you and Eddie.
"Mommy! Daddy-! We're hungryyyyyy" your 6 year old daughter, Sabrina whined- her little arms wrapping around her dad's tattooed bicep as he sat up in the bed.
"Yeah-! I'm hungwyyy!!" Your 4 year old, Willow whined as well, her little lisp showing through her words.
They both were just clinging onto Eddie, causing you to chuckle as you watched him lift them both up, standing up from the bed with both of them in his arms.
"Alright, alright-! Why don't we head downstairs my little babes- get everything set up for mom, how does pancakes sound??" Eddie said, causing the girl's faces to light up as he quickly placed them down.
"Pancakesss!!!" They both squealed before quickly sprinting out of the room, causing you and Eddie to look at each other and chuckle.
As Eddie followed them out of the room, you slowly got up, rubbing your face and yawning as you slowly shuffled behind.
The girls were already in the kitchen, eager to start making pancakes as Eddie went to go grab the supplies to make pancakes.
Both girls were chasing after each other, squealing and giggling happily as they ran around the big kitchen of your nice Los Angeles home.
With the success of Corroded Coffin, it also came with a shit ton of money for Eddie- too much almost, he always thought it was stupid with the amount of money he owned now.
So he decided to try and use it for some good use, spoiling his two little girls and the love of his life-obviously wanting to make sure you all had the best life possible..
As Eddie started making pancakes, you watched the girls as they ran around happily, which you couldn't help but smile at.
You had the perfect life- two beautiful kids, a handsome and caring husband, an amazing home.
It was perfect..
You decided after a little bit of just standing there to walk up behind eddie, slowly wrapping your arms around his bare torso while laying your head down on his back.
"Hey baby." he muttered softly, turning his head to look back at you with a soft smile.
You just looked back up at him with the same smile, admiring him while placing a small kiss on his back.
"I love you so much Munson." you said, slowly moving one of yours hands to rest on his back as you continued to lean against him.
"You're the love of my life sweetheart." He said, slowly turning his body to face you as he wrapped his arms around you, engulfing you in a hug.
You stood there with Eddie for a while, just enjoying the moment and the warmth of his chest as he held you..
After a little bit, you decided to let Eddie finish cooking as you set the table up, also telling the girls to sit down at the table.
You all just sat down at the table together as Eddie placed the pancakes on everybody's plates, all talking and laughing and just enjoying time as a family together.
You couldn't have asked for anything else in life.

The hum of the old box fan fills the small room, as Hero presses their face into the warm pillow. It's a hot and sweltering day, afternoon light shining through the blinds, Hero's clothes strewn about the room. An arm wraps around their middle, pulling them closer.
Hero is the first to break the silence, though they don't turn around to face Villain. "We can't keep doing this." They focus on the spot on the wall opposite the bed, not wanting to admit how much they enjoy the feeling of Villains splayed hand across their torso.
"Well you certainly weren't complaining earlier. Or the last two times." Villain's voice is soft, as they gently brush hair away from the back of Heros nape, pressing a clammy kiss there.
The sheets rustle underneath them, Villain's warm and sweat sticked skin pressing against them, the warmth so inviting that it chips away at Hero's resolve. They wet their lips before speaking. "People are going to start getting suspicious, if I'm caught with you my reputation would be ruined. They would think I'm working with you."
"Ah, this is a reputation thing, is it? Let them think what they want." Villain's face is buried in their hair, arms pulling them even closer. In truth that's only part of it. The countless crimes and atrocities Villain has committed play over and over in Hero's head until they feel sick, head spinning and stomach weak.
There's been more than one occasion in the past, where after one of these not well thought out hookups, that Hero found themselves emptying the contents of their stomach in the toilet, guilt clawing at their throat. They think of how much blood is on those hands that feel so nice against their skin, how much those same hands that brings them so much pleasure has brought untold amounts of suffering to others.
Villain's hands rub soothing circles into their skin, and Hero feels the bile starting to rise. Quickly, they sit up, pulling themselves away from that soft embrace and pulling a sheet around them.
"I can't keep doing this, I need to leave, and I don't want you contacting me again." Hero's words sound frayed, erratic and worried.
This doesn't deter Villain in the slightest though, their voice still honeyed, as if their tongue was a weapon that could disarm them immediately. "Darling, come back to bed. If this is a guilt thing, don't get worked up over it. Nothing you do or don't do would have saved any of them." Hero simply shakes their head in response, still not facing them.
With a sigh, Villain sits up and reaches over, firmly pulls them back. They bury their face into the crook of Hero's shoulder, pressing slow opened mouthed kisses against their pulse. Hero's stomach twists and they don't know what from this time.
"You wouldn't be able to stay away from me if you tried." Villain's lips trail down their shoulder, before traveling back up to their jaw line. Each kiss sends a spark through them, twisting another knife in their gut.
"And besides, I wouldn't let you leave me even if you could."

The soft, melodic croon of Patsy Cline's voice echoed throughout the small, rustic kitchen where you resided. The broken-hearted lyrics bounced tenderly off the paint-chipped walls, bidding a sweet farewell through the open window above the kitchen sink. Like fluttering birds, the lace curtains that covered said window swayed gently with the summer breeze; wafting through the small space and bringing with it the smell of upcoming rain and honeysuckles, mixed with the earthy embers of a fire burning somewhere nearby.
After a long, hard day of sitting around doing absolutely nothing, this is just what you needed.
Though, it wasn't like you chose to do nothing- however much you may have loved this arrangement. If it were up to you, you'd be out there right alongside Abby as she plowed the fields, worked tirelessly with the horses or shoveled their manure.
But it wasn't up to you.
Abby made it clear from the get-go that her job was to take care of the homestead, and your job was to sit around and look pretty until she was done. Who were you to argue with that? Well, you were to begin with, but you negotiated, happily settling on cooking Abby three meals a day, and handling the little things here and there.
Which is what you were doing now.
With sud-soaked hands, dish water up to your elbows and pruning the tips of your otherwise soft fingers, your hips swayed in time with the music. The sound of your own voice humming along to the song made it easy to miss the sound of the front screen door opening with a soft squeak of the hinges- something Abby had been meaning to fix, but hadn't gotten around to.
Heavy boots thudded on the ground, attending to the various floor types between the front door and the kitchen as the soles padded quietly on the carpet, until finally squeaking against the linoleum that made up the entirety of the kitchen.
"Hi, baby.." Abby mumbled, her voice raspy and laced with exhaustion as her calloused, overworked hands found home on your hips, pressing herself into you from behind as she nuzzled her sunburnt face into the crook of your neck. The brim of her cowboy hat pressed into your jawline as she planted soft, evenly placed kisses along the expanse of your neck and shoulder.
"Hi.." You breathed out, unable to hide the giddy smile from pulling to your lips as you tilted your head ever-so-slightly. Dishes forgotten, you let the glass plate you were once holding drift to the bottom of the sink with a muffled thud, pulling your arms out of the water, and wiping them on a nearby towel, all while Abby kept herself tucked into your neck.
One sweet kiss after the other, the feeling of Abby's soft, sleepy hums muffled against your neck, prickling goosebumps along the surface of your ticklish skin as you giggled. "What?" she questioned- though the sound was barely audible, morphing into nothing but gibberish as she squeezed the pliable skin of your hips.
"Nothing," You insisted, turning around in Abby's embrace- to which she whined in disagreement of your action, missing your neck.
Now facing the sleepy girl, you gazed up into her hooded eyes. Freckles peppered along her sun-kissed cheeks like constellations, each one never left unkissed when she was in your presence- her freckles had to be your favorite thing. Flicking the brim of her hat a little higher on her forehead, you noticed the pinkish color of her skin, the beginning of a sun tan developing in the form of a funny-looking line on her forehead; pink and pale-colored skin contrasting.
"You hungry?" You asked as your hand reached up to cup Abby's cheek, your thumb brushing against her cheekbone as you admired all that she was. She leaned into your palm, inhaling a deep breath she let out as a soft sigh of contentment.
"Mm, no," She declined. "Just sleepy." She then blinked at you, resembling a sad, pitiful puppy as the oceanic radiance that swirled in her irises bored into you. "Just sleepy.." She repeated, an almost dream-like twang to her voice as she sighed; a long, drawn-out, huhhh..
All that Abby was, subtle wasn't one of them. You couldn't help but laugh- snort, really. Your hand dropped from her cheek, brushing down to the end of the golden braid that cascaded around her broad shoulder. You gave it a small tug. "You wanna nap?"
In nonverbal response, Abby all but tore your arm from its socket as she dragged you upstairs.

Sometimes you wonder if meeting your soulmate would even matter—it would never fix the void in your heart, you know. It would be foolish to think that it would.
But there is such a drug attached to being loved as you are, despite your flaws and failings, destined to be tied in a game of commitment. Yet the simple fact showed that, while soulmates were able to bring you color, that didn’t change people's nature.
Even among those tied pairs, divorce was rampant; assaults, and murders as well.
Soulmate Psychosis, it was called. When your mind broke from having it all figured out, or even when you knew it was falling apart.
It happened to your father and it happened to millions of other spouses too. When your entire life is already decided when you look at someone, it can be…a lot.
So, part of you was happy that you’d never know who yours was unless they told you themselves—you can hope and pray that they stay their tongue and give you a chance to fall for them naturally. Because it scared you, truly, becoming like all of the rest. A statistic.
Lord, don’t let yourself become a statistic.
Nikto silently walks at your heels as you push through the front doors of your penthouse, taking off your ball cap and stuffing it into your jacket pocket.
The man at the front desk calls to you, and you raise a hand in greeting, sliding a soft smile his way.
“Seraph!” Isaak has been working at this building for as long as you can remember—the man with grayish hair and dark eyes. A face that was sharp and a nose crooked; like a chocolate-chip cookie, dark splotches along his face led to the impression of freckles.
The man was slightly older than you, lanky, and always dressed luxuriously.
“Having a good day, Isaak? Has that girl come back and given you her number yet?” You slow your pace to the elevator, digging into your pocket and peeling out one of the keys from your lanyard for your floor. You nearly drop the thing before you snap and catch onto the metal quickly. Nikto lets off something like an annoyed growl behind you at the interruption from the man across the room.
He’s impatient, you hum and send him a little glance over your shoulder. Light eyes dig with a warning. You only chuckle and shake your head calmly. One would think that for a PMC he would have all the patience in the world.
“You know I keep trying to get her to go away,” Isaak smiles at you. “The only woman I’d accept a number from is you, my Little Angel.”
Where the flirtatious comments had gotten you into bed with the man before, now they just didn’t strike you as they had before. Not…anymore.
You clear your throat and blink away for a moment before you school your expression back to an easy malleability.
“Good try.” Your focus goes back to the keys, fingers jerkily sifting through them.
Isaak’s brows furrow at your form, perhaps a bit of offense making his face twist—dark eyes slip down your body; pupils dilating.
A black form steps slightly forward, a large shoulder blocking you from view in one firm movement. Like some wolf with its neck fur standing on end, Nikto’s head is lightly bent down; eyes so intense that they render Isaak frozen in a sense of internal instincts warring with one another.
Nikto doesn’t speak, doesn’t make a sound—only stares and doesn't blink, immobile as a stone.
The soft music of the lobby blurs to the sound of a heart pounding.
You don’t even notice, humming when you find the correctly marked key from its slate mass and moving forward to press the illuminated button of the elevator.
“Oh!” Your mind pulls itself back to the present and away from letters and fire. “Isaak, this is Nikto—he’ll be…” A pause, eyes narrowed in confusion. “Are you okay?”
The man looks like he’s about to piss himself.
Without another word, Isaak scurries into the backroom, the door hitting so hard closed behind him that you flinch slightly and blink in shock. Standing for a moment, you tilt your head slowly right before the elevator dings, signaling you can enter.
Nikto suddenly grabs the meat of your arm and moves you inside.
“Woah!” You call, huffing. “Careful!”
“Inside,” the PMC grumbles, eyes tight and beady.
Your feet stumble when he lets you go, having to steady yourself on the back railing so you don’t fall over and hit your face on the floor. A sharp look is leveled at Nikto as he drops his duffel bag to the ground and hooks his arms at the collar of his rig, grunting and shifting his legs to set himself.
Blinking rapidly, you sigh out a fast breath.
“You know,” you begin, slotting your key into the plaque that says your floor number, twisting, and then taking a step back. Eyes darting to your side, you ease out slyly. “I’m sure people would like you more if you had the ability to articulate what you’re feeling. I’m getting the sense that you carry your emotions around like you’re trying to choke someone out.”
Nikto glares ahead, a brick wall of nothing but a harsh breath.
You smile softly and chuckle.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll get you into shape in no time.” Pale eyes slowly slide to your face and Nikto’s dead gaze stays there—brows in such a straight line it’s like looking at a statue. “I always do.”
While being around your mom led you to a subdued state, you had no trouble easing back into your usual route of subtle flirting; it was natural to you, even after traumatic events. A cushion, if you will. It felt good to still be able to regulate yourself and have some level of control over your life.
The three bodies and the Stalker, that senseless shadow, still haunt the back of your eyelids but having a distraction in the light was helping. Something new to focus on.
“We need copy,” Nikto glares at you, ignoring your soft tone.
As the elevator rises incredibly high, you hum in question, smile flicking to a confused frown. He grits his teeth under his mask.
“The key, Whelp, да?” Your eyes spark.
“Oh, sure,” you shrug. “I don’t have one.”
Nikto’s shoulders move back, blinking at you quickly. “You…” he trails off into a snarl of Russian. A hand comes up from his side to harshly dig into the bridge of his hidden nose.
You have to restrain a wide smile, the muscles in your face twitching.
When the doors open, you’re led into the sight of your safe place—an entire world away from the one outside the half-closed blinds of an opposite wall of all windows.
“I’ll order you one,” you try to reassure Nikto, sending him a side glance as you let all of the tension leak out of you as you step inside. “No worries.”
The man follows, jaw tense, as he stoops down and swipes up his bag.
“How is it that you do not have a second key?” Nikto’s eyes dart around the living room, not showing the slight way he’s taken aback by the size of everything and the design choice.
It was certainly…unique.
High mass, there were knickknacks on nearly every surface—a far-off ceiling due to the open second level where the rooms must be. There were hanging beads from the stairs, and plants that grew large and verdant; Nitko blinked at paintings on nearly every surface of the visible wall. A hanging chandelier that emits light over the antique-looking furniture of wood and velvet.
Even a taxidermy deer head, with its antlers holding jewelry that glints rich and luxurious. Books and painted bits of the walls that were near sheer fabric draped as an accessory from the top of bookshelves.
“Sorry for the mess,” you utter, sincerely, “if I’d been told that you were going to be staying here, I would have gotten the spare room ready.”
The kitchen is simple and mixed in with the living room in the form of a large island piled with magazines and notebooks.
You sigh and look around, wrapping your arms around your waist as you glance around the space. Not a stranger to the confused looks you’d get from your style.
Aly described it as a fairy tale. A hut in the woods holding secrets and magic. So different than what AMA had you displayed as—a cold angel of white and sharp feathers.
A product of some great lust machine.
“Just wait until he sees the loft,” you murmur, thinking about all of the various fabrics and tailored clothes you’d had in the open space directly when you walk up the stairs. The Dress Form torso mannequins wearing dresses you’d made with pricked fingers and shaky nerves.
You hoped he hadn’t met his Soulmate, because you’re sure it’s a hideous mess of colors up there. The thought makes you pause, and you realize you haven’t asked that question to yourself yet.
Did Nikto see color?
“No need,” Nikto immediately returns to his stoic monotone at your concern over the state of things. “I make do. Step aside.”
Slipping off your shoes, you place them in the old claw foot parlor table you’d made into your entryway storage, glancing at the void as he walks around your creaky wooden floors with his heavy boots.
“Shoes,” you remind, voice light.
The beast halts, his back to you halfway onto your handmade Persian rugs. You watch his fingers twitch around his duffel bag straps, as you go to close your secondary door; hiding the gaping wound in the building as the elevator leaves. A soft click emanates just as the man grunts lowly and lets his bag slam to the floor.
In one movement, the Russian bends down and unlaces his boots in firm and quick motions, grabbing them and turning like a puppet on a string. He plants them next to yours on the parlor table and sends you a tight look with hard eyes.
Nikto’s accent flares in his quick comment. “You are strange, Girl.”
You hum and shift out of your jacket, folding it and placing it atop the shoes.
“Oh, so I’m strange because I don’t want you tracking dirt on my clean rugs? The people you live around must be slobs.”
“We do not live around others.”
You blink, staring into his eyes as your skin pulls lightly. “Then I’m sorry. That must be very lonely.”
Nikto’s muscles tense under his gear, great thighs hardening. He growls low after a moment of stiffly watching you. “I do not need pity, certainly not from you,” and then stalks off, leaving his bag in the foyer.
Lips slightly parted, you let him walk away and snoop, taking account of the rooms and the layout for his own needs. Sighing, you rub at the back of your head before letting your hand drop back down, pulling at the fabric of your turtle neck.
You couldn’t deny that you found Nikto physically attractive—the large stature and built frame made your neurons fire, how he loped along with his bulky gear. Sure, that was natural, and despite the attitude, you did feel secure around him. He had an extensive record for a reason, and your mother would only include the best in her decisions.
It also attested to the fact that you didn’t find his aggression at all fear-inducing if that made any sense at all. To everyone else, he would be the pinnacle of an axe murderer, but, for some reason, he didn’t feel like that to you. A bit loose, sure, but the knowledge that this man was entirely mission-driven sat well with you.
It confused you—why did you not entirely mind having him around?
I can live with this, you tell yourself, brushing off your sweatpants and telling yourself not to think of the bakery or about Sergi, Yefim, or Petya; Aleksandr.
But when all that’s moved away like a curtain in front of the window, the view still remains.
The Stalker.
You still couldn’t rationalize it. How could someone do that? Be so bold and brute-like? And it was all over you.
Never had you been overconfident in yourself—you knew you had the looks and the money, the ability to do what few people could, but that had never gotten into your head. It was common knowledge that every model had a shelf-life and yours would probably end sooner than later if this kept up.
Any damage to your flesh that left long-term scarring was an instant dismissal. No negative press for AMA, either.
In all of this, you were walking a very thin path of horror and reality, like a show at a circus. And you of all people know you can’t walk in a straight line.
The overwhelming feeling of being hunted was setting in and you were entirely in the woods with blood poured over your body; weighing down a dress of linen and calling the beasts to feast upon your flesh with a ravaging appetite.
Swallowing the bile in your throat, you quickly go to find where Nikto had slinked off to, suddenly very cold and not liking the silence. On the way, you flick at your record player, and the old rusty thing spits out Clair De Lune as the glass sun catchers shaped like stars glimmer from the loft’s beams.
“Nikto?” You call in question, looking around before you murmur to yourself. “Where did you get to?”
Carefully grabbing the railing to the stairs, you watch your feet as you slowly ascend, piano music in the background; fingers tight and hard as you slide it up one at a time. You only knock your foot once, two steps from the top, but quickly recover with only a huff and a tiny chuckle.
Nikto walks through the top seating area filled with your materials and fabric, glancing at every book and measuring device that you have; the half-finished pieces. You blink and watch, wondering what he’s thinking as he clicks his tongue before walking to the first door and pushing it open. Your eyes slightly widen at that.
“Well, you sure do like making yourself at home,” your voice calls to the dark figure, and you shake your head. You begin following as if he is showing you around your place and not the other way around.
“I am doing my job.” Nikto’s voice spits out from the opening as you shuffle in. He glances around the small guest bedroom quickly. “Your home is cluttered.” The Russian mutters. “Messy.”
“I call it controlled chaos.” You ease, hands slipping into your pockets beside your phone and wallet. “You’ll find I’m fond of shiny things.”
“We can tell.” Head tilting, you restrain yourself from asking why he keeps referring to himself in the first person like that.
“You’re free to take this room if you want.” There are three doors that make up the separate walls—the one you’d both just walked through, one to the adjoining library and joint bathroom, and the other to your master bedroom with a respective master bath.
All connected to one another like a train car.
Nikto grunts and slips his eyes to the bits of personalization you’d left, though not as much as the rest of the penthouse. The bed was a Full size, there was a desk with bits of lush greenery coming off from a planter, and storage for clothes in the form of a large wardrobe you’d found in an antique store.
Classy, you thought, however, your standards for decoration weren’t the pinnacle of design. A set of Russian nesting dolls from your mother was put onto shelves, and in one of the corners, a hanging oil lamp sat above a nightstand.
Gray plush duvet and a fluffy rug you were told was purple when Alyona stayed over, with large pillows that looked like bear fur.
“Again,” you send a glance to the blank stare that Nikto keeps on you. “I didn’t know you were staying over.”
“It is… sufficient.” Gruff and final, though with an air of annoyed disgust, the Russian goes into the library second to last and then heads into your room with his broad back expanding; leaving a trail of authority in his wake.
Under your breath, you quietly mock him before rolling your eyes and following. For all this, you ended up being correct. Nikto was a good distraction.
The first thing that he notices is the stuffed animals.
They take up most of the window nook, some incredibly large and fluffy while others are small and could be crushed in his palm, even sitting atop one another if the space allowed. Nikto blinks at the sight of a very large bear plushie with a small bird on the head—little felt feet sticking out in front of it.
You clear your throat, the hot embarrassment flooding your face as your smile turns sheepish.
“Just…uhm…it’s just a little bit of an addiction.” Like the rest of the house, that fairy tale feeling emanates here as well—fancy curtain holders, old tea cups holding palm-sized pewter statues, paintings, and stained-glass lamps from the nineteen hundreds.
Pale eyes tilt their gaze down to you, silent as always.
“But at least it’s not drugs!” You push out quickly, awkwardly chuckling and shrugging your shoulders.
Your feet shift from under you, the large room that you call your own not something you planned on having to describe today. There was something incredibly intimate about letting someone into your house—someone you didn’t know especially.
Nikto puffs a bit of air in something akin to a scoff, turning his head away from you but not after a slight quirk of his brow.
“Are you sure you are not on drugs?” You snap up to stare at him, falling silent for a moment as he turns and leaves.
Gaping, you stutter, slightly amused, “W-was that a joke, Nikto?” He doesn’t answer and a slow smile grows on your lips. “Hey! C’mon did you just make a joke? Awe,” you coo, “I really am good at this!”
“Stop talking.” Nikto snarls, glaring as he goes down to the ground level. “You are making my ears hurt.”
You hurry to the stairs, following after with a steady mood, chuckling.
“If you’re going to be my glorified roommate, I think talking is part of the—” A sharp gasp rips from you as your leg hits on the banister, your foot locked through the metal as you yelp loudly at the sudden pain. In a quick tilt your vision slides, a swift sensation of gravity taking over as your body takes you tumbling backwards.
You tense mid-air, mind already made up about the incoming pain of your head knocking off the hard material, your skull rattling and splitting open; blood and brain matter spilling out to coat the—
Arms snap around your waist, legs still on the top half of the stairs and back hitting a large chest as you grunt in surprise; eyes blinking wildly.
Heart hammering, your head quickly looks up only to find the piercing eyes of Nikto burning down into you. Your nose brushes his face mask, the harsh fabric of the lover half pressing into yours.
You both stay there for a moment, Nikto’s blazing gaze unphased, it seemed, by the close contact. Inside of your gut, your stomach flips, and a tightness flares in your lungs.
Upon the air, your voice stutters out, tiny, “M-my bad.” You accent it with a helpless chuckle.
Nikto’s breath brushes over your forehead, and with a quick jerk of his arms you’re set back up on top of the stares. Even here, you meet the man’s height perfectly—him a few steps below you yet still a giant.
“This will be a problem, yes?” Nikto barks out. You steady yourself on the railing and take a deep breath. “You. You are…” His eyes twitch as if trying to find the correct word in English. He grunts to himself, fingers twitching.
You tilt your head, still calming down. Your throat is tight at the heat that still emanates from where Nikto’s hands had wrapped around you.
“...Shaky?”
“Hm,” Nikto doesn’t seem like that word fits best, but he nods once firmly, folding his arms over his chest and never once releasing you from his stare. Studying you as a monster does a maiden. “Да.”
You jerkily shrug, rubbing at your neck with one hand.
“Well, I guess brain damage will do that to you,” your lips tilt in an amiable smile—trying to play off what you say as you continue. Nikto’s body goes still, yet his attention never leaves. His eyes narrow. “I should have told you when we met, but you were, eh,” you chuckle, looking away for a moment. “Pretty quick with wanting to leave.”
A strained silence falls; an unknown emotion in the air.
“I—” Your voice is cut off by your phone vibrating from inside of your pocket, and with your hand snapping to that general area, you blink in surprise. “Oh.”
Fishing it out with awkward fingers, you find the illuminated screen and a text from Alyona calling up to you.
‘Video call w AMA & managers. 5 min. Be ready!’
“Shit,” you mutter, immediately going into your professional headspace.
But before you can rush off to grab your computer and slap makeup on your face, Nikto’s hand yanks your phone from your grasp. Blinking at your empty palm, your face darts up with a swift offense growing.
“Nikto!”
“Quiet.” The man taps into your contacts and you watch helplessly as he begins slashing in his own number with his digits firmly pressing in hard intervals to the keypad.
Huffing, you shake your head and leave him there to do what he needs to do, not overprotective of a device and more concerned with the time constraint that was leveled like a noose around your neck.
You had to look somewhat good for the call, after all, they could be waiting to tell you you’re fired.
They wouldn’t do that with Alyona there, you reason as you narrowly dodge running onto a side table before you enter your room again, though this time from the main door. Not the managers either.
Your lips pull straight.
But if the CEO was on call, then you’d have to worry. He had no problem being ruthless about policy and public image, always so pretentious with his power over all of the men and women employed at Allurement.
But then again, he had always seemed to take an interest in you, anyway.
You slip out of your turtleneck and pull on a silk top that seems either white or a very very pale color—either way, they always put you in something near to white, so it didn’t matter. Since it was a video call, there was no need to show your bottom half; the sweatpants stayed.
Makeup was the hard part.
With your nerve spasms always showing up at inopportune times, it took a long time if someone else wasn’t doing it for you. You had ways to combat it, sure, but none you could get ready in five minutes.
Three, you tell yourself.
An idea hits your head like a rock.
“Nikto!” You call, rushing to your vanity and pushing aside a plush raccoon to snag your mascara. There wasn’t time for anything else. “I have a favor!”
“No,” the man materializes in the opening of your door, the backdrop of your fabric mess in the loft behind him; the clashing of shades momentarily confuses you, blinking quickly, but you recover with a huff and a plea.
“I need you to put my mascara on—my hands are too unpredictable right now.” He’s growling in the way you’re already accustomed to. This must be one hell of a day for him. “Your job is to protect me right? I need you to protect me from public humiliation.”
“Then humiliate yourself.” Nikto’s narrowed eyes lower even farther, face turned sharply to you as you walk over and hold out the stick. “This is not my job.”
You dig hard into his eyes, serious if not a bit willing. “I’d owe you.” Your tone is hard but true.
The Russian bear’s shoulders roll slightly, getting higher and more irritated. He grunts at you. After a long and heartstopping moment, he grabs onto your pocket and slips your phone back inside, jostling your body into his as you make a noise in surprise.
In that same movement, the mascara stick is yanked from your hand and fingers grapple onto your chin.
Your eyes go wide; body instantaneously tensing, as the unyielding grip moves your chin to the side and one hand unscrews the mascara with a slight pop of the seal.
“You are dependent,” Nikto’s digits are tight, but you don’t blink or pull away as the stick spreads pigment. “I do not like it, Girl. Like child running with a knife.”
“Aren’t you such a ray of sunshine?” You grumble but stay deathly still. Nikto’s body is tight against yours, leaning over you.
The guy certainly didn’t mind getting handsy if he needed to. Thinking like that makes your feet shuffle tinily under you, a heat emanating from your cheeks and your thighs momentarily becoming stiff.
His body warmth bleeds through his bulk; the grating press of his chest plate to your upper body.
“Stop breathing,” Nikto hisses and your cheek is moved to the side, knee knocking into his leg.
You feel and see the stick descend and move your lashes delicately, quite adverse to the attitude you’re getting. The Russian is attentive and set on getting his task done, even if he despises it.
“What kind of a request is that?!”
“Hush!” He barks and you both try to glare at each other as the last of the mascara is bushed on. “Get out.”
You pull back and frown up at him.
“I’m sorry you think that your attitude is appropriate, Nikto.” With your nose in the air, your hands grapple for your laptop on the way out of your room and sit at the desk out in your loft. Tossing a stack of fabric to the floor and brushing down the surface.
Behind you, there’s a plain-colored sheet hung to the wall for conferences—and you make sure it’s in place as you plop down to your seat.
Nikto’s angry eyes bore into you from the doorway, which he slowly leans against and crosses his arms heavily.
He mutters under his breath in fast Russian, shaking his head as you unlock your laptop and log in, easily clicking where you need to go and pulling up your video call with twenty seconds to spare.
Alyona’s face appears first, looking to the side, and you send a soft smile before you unmute yourself.
“Feeling better?” The woman perks up, eyes coming to you. She beams.
“Солнышко!” You laugh, tilting your head. “No, no, forget about me, how are you?” Aly gives you her full attention. “I need to come over and visit, yes? We should have a girl’s night again. Just us.”
“I’m…alright,” you simply say, fast to reassure her of her worries. There was no need to burden the model with your fears. Not when she’s still living with her own. “And that might be a bit difficult on the ‘just us’ part, unfortunately.”
She sighs but is serious in her concern.
“New bodyguard, Seraph?” Nikto listens to everything from across the loft, and you glance up at him before you open your mouth to speak in the affirmative.
“Live-in.” Alyona thins her lips, but, surprisingly, doesn’t seem off-put.
“Perhaps that is good, hm? If it’s to keep you safe, I would be willing to deal with it.” Before you can admit that it’s not the worst idea in the world, though draining, three others pop into the call.
Yours and Alyona’s managers, and, of course, the CEO of AMA.
You have to hide your curse before it sneaks out of your mouth. Everyone greets one another, and you send polite smiles and hellos in return. Corporate professionalism a virus that sweeps your features into a mask of compliance and brain-dead agreements.
Kliment Fedorov, CEO of Allurement Modeling Agency, shows his large and round face in the very center of the screen; with tiny eyes like a fly and a bald head. He’s in his office.
The man calls your name and smiles wide, pure white teeth leaning more towards fake looking than just the results of frequent brushing.
“It is good to see both of my best girls getting along. No lasting marks, I hope?” You and Aly dart look.
“None, Sir.” You both answer, still smiling and falling in line. They only speak in English for your comfort—in your manager’s box, you see his translator lean into his ear and relay the words being let out.
“Good, good! This is great news. Seraph,” you perk up, Nikto from the back shuffling while looking around his surroundings. He picks at a piece of reflective fabric on a side table with his brutish fingers, twisting it before huffing and tossing it away. He snoops as if put off by the high-mass areas, used to order and cleanliness.
Not that it wasn’t clean, but outwardly it gave off a certain impression of clutter.
“How soon can you be back? We have had even more propositions offered because of this event.” Your lungs stutter. “Mrs. Solovyova and yourself are very profitable for the company at the current time; this only made your popularity better!”
Your manager, Kostya, spits off into his native tongue with its harsh edges. Nikto’s head shifts back your way but says nothing.
Profitable? Wanted? You can’t say you’re overly thrilled at the comments. Just like you can’t say you want to get back to work when the Stalker knows exactly where you’ll be.
Who could say when he would strike again? A day? A week? Going back to AMA would make the target on your back as large as a damn elephant.
Kliment waves a hand and your manager falls silent at the sheen of anger in his fly-eyes. He continues.
“Of course, AMA had to take precautions, Ladies.” Alyona shifts in her box on the screen, glancing to the side. “We were very close to having to terminate your deal with us. Such events are…ah, dangerous for our image.”
It’s like a punch to the gut you knew was coming. The only reason you were still employed was because of companies trying to profit off of the girls who beat the odds and survived a direct attack on one of their own.
You could already see the headlines—had seen the headlines.
Aly and you know the response you need to give.
“Thank you, Sir.” Smiles are stiff, but a sheet of pleasure washes Kliment’s face.
“Well, of course, my girls! I would never get rid of such beauties, no, no. This agency is your home—I love my women like my own.” His eyes stay on you, and your body shivers even miles away. “But lovely Seraph, again, when can we have you back? Everyone has been asking, yes? Photographers lining up! But of course, you’ll keep your assigned one.”
Everyone? You swallow down saliva thinking about crowds and the peering eyes.
“Uhm,” Nikto openly stares, and you glance up at him. He offers no help above a tilt of his head; arms over his chest. “W-when would you need me back, Sir. My calendar is always free for you.”
“Good! Tomorrow, then. Mrs. Solovyova?”
“...That works for me, Sir.”
“Perfect!” You sigh and close your eyes for a moment before the CEO jumps into business—your managers taking notes in preparation for scheduling and locations. “I will send the details over to your departments and good wishes to the companies, I’ll expect to hear of you both being in tomorrow.”
He leaves the call, but not without a smirk forming on his face.
The managers talk for a few moments, getting almost everything in order before they too leave.
Aly and you release a deep breath, both sagging. The other woman is first to speak.
“Bastard.” Nikto scoffs from across the room. You peek before you rub your head and nod in turn.
“A creep, one hundred percent.” Alyona sighs, and her palm acts as a headrest as she lays her chin on it. She licks her lips, face going hard.
“You don’t think that he…” Your brows tilt in confusion before you catch what she’s trying to say.
“No, Aly, it can’t be him.” She frowns. “T-that would be,” you force a laugh, hands beginning to spasm. Swiftly you move them under the desk. “That would be insane.”
Nikto takes his phone out of his pocket and taps something into the screen, feet spacing themselves in a display of a perfect soldier.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if it was, Солнышко.” You turn away for a moment. “Anyone could be at this point.”
“My mother said there was a break-in at the bakery before the explosion. Someone planted that bomb because they guessed on an off chance that we would go out.” You breathe sharply. “Do you know how insane that is? Anyone could have,” swiftly stopping your sentence, you shake your head to clear it. “It’s…the person who’s doing this can’t blend into normal life. It has to be obvious, and everyone’s missing it.”
“Easy, Little Seraph,” Alyona eases, showing you a hand to get you to come back to her. “We will figure this out, yes?”
A hand rubs along your face and you whisper out, “Okay.”
“I’ll see you and the new man tomorrow—you know you can call me with anything. Nikifor and I worry about you. Yekaterinburg is a dangerous place, regardless.” You have to smile at that, lightly chuckling. Aly tilts her head as her hair brushes her shoulders after a moment of quiet thinking. A lighter air spreads out like her voice from the speakers. “...Who did your makeup in so little time?”
“See you tomorrow!” You grab the end of the laptop and slam it closed as the woman yells out to you.
“Don’t fuck him on the first day!” Wanting to shrivel up and die, you avoid Nikto’s suddenly brutal gaze and quickly push a smile to your lips.
“S…she’s joking.” His pale eyes aren’t amused.
Nighttime is a strange affair between the two of you.
You jump at every strange noise—like Nikto rearranging his room better to his standards—as you think of dinner for two. Laying on the couch, back in your turtle neck, it’s hard to focus above the scrape of hardwood and the low grunts from above; the distant rhythmic stomp of feet.
You rub your eyes and groan low. This was going to be a task, even for your usually placid attitude.
“What the hell does a monster eat?” The comment is directed at the taxidermy deer on your wall as you move to stand. “Liver? The souls of my enemies?” You blink, pausing before you mumble. “Maybe that’s not so bad, now that I think about it.”
Your pantry was already sparse at best.
Tapping the cupboard, you settle on something that Alyona had taught you to make with her mother. Cabbage Soup—Schi or щи—low overall in calories but still filling when you know your limits; healthy as well as hardy. You mess with the bag of potatoes and peel out a few, turning and setting them down on the island.
With the dark night soon setting in, you push the automatic button on your wall and watch the curtains close the rest of the way with a soft buzzing sound. Sighing, you flick on the lights and get to work as the gray blobs of potatoes fall apart under your knife, set to the side.
Cooking, while you still had a complicated relationship with food, did truly make you calm down. The tremors eased up, your feet stopped moving so much—you even felt yourself getting hungry as the ingredients were roughly chopped and dropped into a pot to boil.
If you allowed yourself it, you wouldn’t have minded growing up to be a cook instead of some form of greed and envy. But the thought of that now made you lose your appetite entirely.
When you’re half done with your tiny bowl, water on the side with nothing else, Nikto stalks down the stairs.
He takes one look at your bowl and speaks lowly.
“Щи.” You hum, recognizing the word that Aly’s mother had said. He grunts, chest jerking as he comes around the island to the boiling pot; his back now to you. “You will starve with that small of a portion, Whelp.”
Blinking, you sip down some of the broth from your spoon and furrow your brow. That nickname still makes your eyelids narrow in slight disapproval, but you let it go.
“I don’t think so, Nikto. It’s the last bit of calories I need for the day.” Pale eyes watch over his shoulder, pulling smaller.
“I find that insulting.” His hand grabs the ladle, bringing it up to stare. The Russian’s shoulder blades pull out at the motion, the line of his spine most likely showing through his skin under all that gear. You should tell him it’s okay to take it off, but you highly doubt he ever does outside of sleep. “Pointless.”
“You try being a model,” you remark. “You’ve got the body for it, at least. I know a few people that would swoon over the height alone.”
Nikto’s visible skin pulls, biceps tense. “Swoon, Girl?” The accent makes it sound like a bark from a dog.
You take your last spoonful, covering your mouth with your hand as you speak.
“Like,” pausing, you swallow, “actually I don’t know what that means. Become emotionally affected, I guess?”
“I do not care if people become ‘emotionally affected’ by my height.” Nikto pulls a bowl from the cupboard—a large one. “Such things are below me. All that matters is the mission.”
“Sounds boring,” you huff. “Sour cream is in the fridge.”
The light from the machine greets you as the condiment is taken out and emptied into a nearly overflowing bowl of cabbage soup. Blinking at the amount of food that would burst your stomach if you ate it, you shrug and clean out the last of the broth by bringing the lip of the bowl to your mouth.
Nikto huffs, looking down at the soup. He pauses.
“Where is баранины?” Your confusion must be plainly stated on your face because he seems to clench his jaw and say through his teeth. “Lamb.”
“Alyona never made it with meat,” you answer, hopping off your stool and moving to put your dirty dishes in the sink. “But I’ve heard everyone makes it differently depending on where you grew up. Was that how your parents made it?”
When you turn back around he’s already walking away from you. Watching, wide-eyed at how silently he cleared the room, you make a small sound in the back of your throat as he disappears upstairs.
The silence wafts back in, only the small noise from the record player dancing in your ears.
You lick your lips for the remaining taste of food and clean up with a still-growling stomach, shaking your head at the strange character living with you. Hoping this doesn’t drag out any longer than it has to and you’re able to find the stalker soon, you hear your phone go off on the counter as you mull over your predicament.
After you put the last of the leftovers away, you pat your hands on your pants and reach for your device, flipping over the screen and reading what will probably be a text from Aly for tomorrow.
You pause.
UNKNOWN NUMBER:
‘Why won’t you let me love you?’
Staring, whatever sense of normalcy you had from cooking was snatched away. The blood in your veins halts with a blockage of iron and fear. Instantaneously, adrenaline spikes, making your pupils go small and your jaw clench.
Hands shake. You almost drop your phone.
With a quick punch of your fingers, you delete the text and block the number—tossing your device back to the counter and moving away from it until your back hits the cupboards.
Spasming palms slap to the stone countertop, grip tight.
You stare at the phone for a very long time, hearing nothing but the dull drone of the piano, the sounds of the city outside, and the pulse of your veins. Static was in your ears.
Gasping for a sudden deep breath, you clear your throat and turn away to finish cleaning, your body unable to stay still.
That night, like the ones previous, you find trouble sleeping.
The room was only illuminated by the fairy lights you’d strung from the ceiling, a soft fade and reentry like twinkling stars hanging in a black sky. You stare at them with open eyes, laying on your back surrounded by a multitude of quilts and blankets—pillows that crowd with doughy insides.
Nikto was turning in his bed, and the movement was setting you on edge.
The PMC had ordered you to keep the door between your rooms open at night, in case something was happening he would hear you better. You held your tongue on the fact that if this creep managed to get into your penthouse then it was already over for you. Regardless, now you could hear every shift and grunt—every huff of annoyed air.
No doubt the Full bed in the spare room was too tiny for him, nothing compared to your King.
Sighing and covering your eyes with your forearm, you call out sleepily.
“Are you sleeping alright?” The shifting stops. You wait for a response but get none. “Nikto?” Nothing.
Sitting up, your large silk pajamas hang off one shoulder as you yawn; covering your mouth you stand and steady yourself on the oak bed frame. Standing so you can get your bearings, you decide to do what you normally do when you can’t sleep.
Grabbing your phone’s flashlight, you flick it on and head to the kitchen—being extra careful and taking the stairs at half the speed you normally would. In the kitchen you grab at the stacked teacups and pick one with flowers on the sides; giggling to yourself at the thought.
Magnolia Tea.
Its smell burns into your nostrils as you prepare it in near-darkness, like a beacon of light the liquid shimmers. You remember your mother making it for you after the accident—helping you to sleep and stave off the nightmares; the insomnia.
You finish your cup in the kitchen but bring the second back up with you. Spilling only a little onto the tea plate, you go through the main door to your room and then turn to the blackened opening of Nitko’s doorway.
“I made tea,” your voice echoes. But no sound.
Maybe he was already asleep now.
“No need to drink it, but it helps me when I can’t sleep. Magnolia, if you’re curious.” You chuckle, fairy lights illuminating your face. “Sorry, I’m keeping you up. I’ll leave it in the doorway, okay?”
Silence, but perhaps a tiny huff from inside the lion's den. Good or bad, you have no clue. Slipping back into bed, you try not to think about what you’re sleeping above—the letters from the Stalker’s gifts.
You’d never opened them, and you never would. Inside that lockbox is where they would stay.
Your phone vibrates on your nightstand, and even with the tea in your stomach, it is a long, long, time before your eyes flutter closed.
Yefim’s body dances like a puppet on a string, a shadowy figure pulling the cords and letting his decimated corpse sway; jewelry stapled into his burnt neck like a collar. A noose that your desperate fingers try to hang onto.
How long could you keep this game up?

genre : fluff with a hint of angst
warnings : anxiety
a/n : loving these requests, keep them coming!
Tumblr media
matt had been having these outbursts for the past few days, i knew exactly what was going on. my own anxiety does it to me as well, so i let it flow out. but, there is so much anger that wells in his body that once it all spills out, it refills again and again.
today, i laid on his bed with my nose in my book as he took a shower to try and calm himself. once he exited the bathroom, he sat down to finish editing a video.
i drowned out the replaying video until i had heard matt's breathing pick up. "matt, you okay honey?" i asked softly.
"no, this stupid shit-" he exclaimed, slamming his hands on his desk and standing up beginning to pace around the room. i stood up with him, stopping him in his tracks, "matt, it's okay. can i help you with it?"
"no, it's my work! you shouldn't have to work for me while i have a meltdown like a little kid!" he exclaimed, his throat tightening.
"matt, deep breaths," i spoke, "you're not acting like a little kid, you're just having a hard time, and that's alright." he began wiping his tears, about to speak before i cut him off, "can i hug you?"
he was quick to accept, wrapping his arms around my waist. "how about i get you something to eat and we can work on it together, okay?"
"okay," he croaked into my shoulder.
matt sat back down and waited for me to come back. i came back with with a bag of chips and a can rootbeer for him. i sat down on his lap and helped him with the rest of the editing while he wrapped his arms around my waist and had his head on my shoulder.
"thank you y/n/n, i dunno what i'd do without you," he mumbled into the crook of my neck. "of course baby, i love you," i spoke softly, turning my head to place kiss his temple.

Setbacks - Chou Tzuyu pt 1
Tumblr media
Tzuyu x f!reader
Fluff, suggestive?
The girls find out they are the reason why Tzuyu isn't getting some with you
1.5k words
(italics are for flashbacks in this one!)
Part 1:
The laughter echoing the room surrounded nine girls who were excitedly telling stories that probably would have stayed in their minds if it weren’t for the alcohol in their veins.
“That’s when I knew she was the one,” Jihyo slurred, taking another sip of her beer can, “it was the way her tongue pressed against me that made me just…” she shuddered, gaining tipsy giggles from her friends who had their cheeks tinted pink.
“I guess I’ll have to try that with Miyeon,” Sana chipped in shyly, getting cheers from the other girls. “I mean, the sex is good but we can always improve it, right?”
Nayeon nodded firmly before turning her head to the youngest of them all.
“You haven’t said a word,” the older girl pointed out, her eyes squinting at their maknae’s evasive gaze.
“I bet Y/N is really good at it,” Chaeyoung nudged Tzuyu, trying to get her to tell all the nasty details of your love life, “she looks like the kind to be in control, don’t you love that Tzuyu?”
Tzuyu was shy. All the stories her unnies told a couple of minutes ago were hot, really hot. She didn’t know sex could be enjoyed in so many different ways. She wasn’t inexperienced, in fact, she had several ex lovers that taught them all she knew so far.
However, you were her first girl. It was all new for her.
Since the first time you saw each other, your fate was sealed. The instant connection between the two of you couldn’t be denied, everyone saw it so it wasn’t a surprise when she finally came out to her members and eventually they helped her to get to you.
You were kind, passionate, she loved the way you made her feel but…
“We haven’t done it yet”.
*
Tzuyu was embarrassed.
No, scratch that. Tzuyu was mortified.
Those words shouldn’t have left her mouth, shouldn’t even have left her mind. It was a split of a second that she lost control of her own actions due to the alcohol and the words simply slipped out.
Eight pairs of widened eyes directed at her, trying to process what their maknae said.
“But…” Chaeyoung carefully replied, “haven’t you gotten together almost four months ago?”
Tzuyu groaned and hid her face in her hands. “Five,” she whispered, feeling her face getting even redder than before.
No one said a word for several minutes, trying to avoid any more awkward moments for her. It was enough that she had told them you two have zero sex life in all those months of dating.
“Well,” Mina said, trying to avoid eye contact, “it’s okay if you wanna wait or if she wants to wait for the right moment, there’s no rush for such things. You can even decide it doesn’t have to happen and it would be totally fine”.
The other girls agreed immediately, nodding to Mina’s words and trying to encourage Tzuyu.
But…” the youngest replied sadly, “I do want it to happen… I just…”
“You don’t know how?” Jihyo asked, carefully, trying not to cross any more boundaries.
“I guess I kind of know how,” Tzuyu replied, “I just don’t know if she wants it too”.
A chorus of understanding replies were heard and it relieved a little of Tzuyu's worries.
“Haven’t you talked about it?” Mina asked.
And Tzuyu tried to remember when was the last time you tried to talk it out.
“This movie is weird,” Tzuyu said, lifting her head from your chest and locking her gaze with yours. Her body was sprawled out on the living room couch she shared with her members.
“It is,” you agreed, caressing her waist with the hand that was firmly gripping her side. Your fingertips passed softly over the side of her boob.
Her breath hitched.
You felt her head find its place on the crook of your neck but this time her arms wrapped your waist as she pushed her hand under your shirt to caress your tummy.
“I’m going to find another movie,” you suggested while pressing a kiss on the top of her head.
With one hand, you took the remote and kept scrolling through several titles, trying to get an idea of whatever those movies could be about. With the other, you pulled Tzuyu against your body and your fingertips kept drawing patterns on her skin.
She couldn’t help but let the desire run through her body, wishing you could finally and properly play with her now hardened nipples.
Tzuyu didn’t understand why it was so difficult with you. In her previous relationships, the guys she dated couldn’t even wait to feel her up. In less than two dates, they were already under her shirt, trying to open also her jeans button.
“Wanna go to my room?” she simply asked.
Deep in her heart, she wished it would have come out as a sexy whisper, as a suggestive invitation to do whatever you wanted to do to her. Her mind was foggy with desire for you and the only thing she wanted at that moment was to have you between her legs.
Your gaze found hers trying to decipher what those beautiful eyes were trying to say.
And as soon as you were about to reply, the front door opened, revealing two loud girls with their shopping bags ready to show them what they had gotten from their last spree.
Tzuyu groaned.
“Sorry about that,” Jihyo said, remembering it was her and Nayeon a couple of months ago.
“So you were gonna do it before you got interrupted,” Chaeyoung reasoned, elbowing the youngest, wiggling her eyebrows.
“Were we?” Tzuyu asked, rhetorically. “I mean, I don’t know for sure if she wants it too, I’m just assuming she was going to say yes”.
“Come on,” Jeongyeon replied, “of course she wants it, you just have to see the signs!”
“But what are those signs?” Tzuyu asked again, “when I was with guys, I knew because I could physically see their… you know… but what am I supposed to see when I’m with her? How do I know she also wants it?” she grimaced, shoving her face into her hands once again.
“Haven’t you made out until you give each other that look?” Jihyo asked, trying to see if Tzuyu was missing anything.
“You look tired,” you said softly, noticing Tzuyu getting too comfortable on the floor of their practice room.
“I am,” she pouted, feeling your hands roaming her back, your fingers making pressure right behind her neck. She pushed her head to the side so you could keep going with the little massage you were providing her.
“You are tense,” you said, getting a slight nod from her. “I know what’s going to help you relax,” you proposed, not even giving her a second to react before pressing your lips against the skin of her neck.
A long sigh left her lips. You kissed the side of her neck up to her ear where you whispered sweet nothings as your arms wrapped around her waist.
She turned around and captured your lips with hers. You pressed your bodies together as she pushed you against the wall.
As soon as your back hit the glass, you took the chance to shove your tongue in her mouth, trying to bring her even closer. She let you have dominance and let a soft moan leave her lips.
Your hand made its way up to her chest, ghosting over her clothed boob, when she pushed her chest against you and you finally massaged her the way she was craving. You left a needy groan off your lips when you realized how hard her nipple was and lowered your kisses to her neck.
Tzuyu threw her head to the side to give you more access when your other hand made its way under her shirt. As soon as your fingertips touched her bare skin, your gazes found each other in silent permission. Tzuyu was filled with the desire of having your hands all over her body.
Her eyes were screaming yes, begging you to go ahead and make her feel good.
Until several footsteps were heard outside of the practice room as loud voices approached the door.
You two separated immediately.
“Oh my God!” Jeongyeon screamed, “Could you two stop getting on the way while Tzuyu is about to get some?!” she exasperatedly asked Jihyo and Nayeon, who were trying to suppress their laughs.
“How were we supposed to know?!” Jihyo replied, almost offended.
“It’s okay unnies,” Tzuyu said, almost defeatedly, “the time will come, but I guess it will take time”.
“You two clearly want each other,” Nayeon said, feeling a little guilty she was also getting in the middle even if it wasn’t her intention, “you just haven’t had the chance to go for it”.
Tzuyu shrugged.
“We’ll get you the right time and place, Tzu,” Jihyo offered, getting a hopeful look from her maknae. “Just say the word and we’ll arrange everything for you two and we promise not to interrupt anymore”.
The other girls nodded in agreement, expecting Tzuyu’s answer.
Tzuyu smiled shyly. It wasn’t their fault, yet they were once again going over their own extents to make her happy.
She felt grateful.
“I'd love that,” she simply replied, smiling excitedly.

“Well, maybe if you just–”
“Dad! Just–…” you swallowed the rest of the heated statement that nearly escaped your lips, mentally counting to three before glaring back at the man who was breathing down your neck, “do you remember when I was 12 and you had the clever idea of attempting to install that new sink in room 5?”
Already knowing where this story was gonna go, Harvey quietly replied, “…yeah…”
“And just who, pray tell, fixed it after you made the pipes uncontrollably spurt out water, consequently flooding the entire room?”
“…you did…”
“That’s right,” you sucked on another tense breath before continuing, “so, unless you’ve somehow improved that skill since then, which, I’m sorry dad, but I highly doubt that you have, please, just let me handle it alone.”
“…alright, fine,” he ultimately backed off, nearing the basement stairs, “but I’ll be right up by the front desk if you need me.”
“I won’t,” you called over your shoulder as you redirected your attention to the hopeless pipes, “but thanks.”
Letting the illuminated spot from the small flashlight clutched in your palm guide your vision, you checked each and every rusty tube.
After too many pokes and prods, you finally found the source of the problem. Stepping over towards the main pipeline you bend down and reached through tickling cobwebs to turn the paint-chipped knob clockwise, shutting all of the water off.
Before your spine managed to straighten back out, you felt your blood begin to boil as you heard the sound of heavy footsteps once again ascending the crooked staircase.
“Dad, please, for the love of god, just–,” you spun around, though the unexpected figure that stepped into the low light caused your fury to fade away in an instant, “oh, uh, you’re not–, uhm, h-hi.”
“Hey,” Pete’s deep voice echoed throughout the dim space, sounding the way that hot chocolate felt.
“Uh, not that I’m not thrilled to see you here, in my basement of all places, but, um, what are you–, what can I help you with?”
“Nothing ma'am,” he took a step closer, “it’s what I can help you with.”
“Excuse me?”
“Well, Harvey sent me down here to take a look at something.”
“Oh, did he now…” that was the last you needed in order to lose your patience.
“Yeah,” Pete’s eyes tracked your form as you riffled through the open metal toolbox and yanked out a wrench.
“Well,” you huffed as you began to loosen the various hexagon-shaped fittings snug on the pipes spiderwebbing out from the bulky water heater apparatus, the labour of the task presenting itself in your vexed voice, “you can tell my dad that I’m still just fine and don’t need any help!” the tool on your palm then inadvertently slammed against one of the pipes, the clanging and therapeutic blow snapping you enough out of your ire to take a step back. Squeezing your eyes shut a moment, you let out a deep sigh before parting your lips once more to speak, “I’m sorry, it was very kind of you to offer your help, but I’m okay.”
Fully expecting him to just take off, his stationary stance caught you off guard, “so, the water heater’s acting up?”
“It’s fucking ancient, that’s what it is,” you replied as you returned to twist the remainder of the fittings, “should have updated it long ago, but no, no, that never happened,” you continued to grumble mostly to yourself at this point, “of course it’s much more fun to let me handle it down the line when the hot water outlet is completely rusted over and clogged up to the point of no return, you know, that’s just so much more fun…” your words then faded away as you attempted to turn a knob that in no way wanted to corporate.
Quietly cursing underneath your breath, you tried to put all your weight into it as you strained to turn the stuck fitting.
But just then, from out of nowhere, you felt the wrench begin to turn, but that victory wasn’t the only thing you suddenly felt. Engulfing your own, the comparatively massive hand of Pete enveloped yours as if it wasn’t even there to begin with, helping you turn it as though the metal was made out of butter.
Blinking up at him after it finally twisted completely, his intimidating stature seemed even more towering up close.
“Uh,” you slipped your hand out from under his calloused palm, “thank you…”
“No, problem,” you promptly whirled around to avoid his piercing gaze, busying yourself by riffling through the toolbox without any purpose whatsoever, “so your old man’s not helping you out in renovating this place?”
“Well, he’s brilliant at a lot of things, but those skills in particular have never really been in his bailiwick–, wait…” you kept your back turned to him as you asked, “how do you know that I’m renovating?”
“People in this town like to talk, a lot,” he breathed out the essence of a laugh, “and that includes your father.”
“Ah, okay…”
Spinning around once again, you kept your eyes steadfast on the dusty pipes, though after what only felt like a second, Pete unexpectedly proposed, “hey, what do you say I lend you a hand?”
“What?”
“Well,” hands clasped together in front of him, the digits on one of them dug into the palm of the other as he spoke, “I’m no stranger to fixing things, so it might help make it fly by a bit faster than if you try and get through it all on your own.”
Unable to detect if this was just some strange joke or not, you verified, “I’m sorry, but are you legitimately offering me your help in renovating this place right now?”
“Yes.”
“Seriously?” you bellowed a little louder than you’d intended, earning just a small nod from him in confirmation, “I–…” you blinked back at him, downright dumbfounded, “that’s incredibly generous of you, but I can’t really afford to hire you right now…”
“Oh, I’m not asking you to hire me, just let me help out a bit.”
“Pete, I can’t let you do that, not without any form of compensation.”
“Well, then just pay me in free coffee till it’s done,” he attempted to joke, though it didn’t manage to crack a smile on your lips.
“This is not funny, Pete.”
“No, it’s not,” he continued, still in a startlingly light-hearted tone, “you clearly don’t know yet just much coffee I tend to drink on average every day, seeing you not budge an inch, he then dropped the attempt with a gentle nod, “fine, how about we just take a look at a price at a later date? Decide on it later when it’s all done, and you start making a profit again?”

blurbcember!!!
omg how about the prompt 14. the power goes out in our apartment building, but i’m not prepared for this, and you come to check on me with steve because neighbor!au has a special place in my heart 🤭😔
i'm definitely late for this request but i couldn't stop thinking about it! hope you like it angel! — your pretty next door neighbor keeps you company when the power in your building goes out, along with a couple of his friends (neighbors to lovers, fluff, 1.6k)
bug's one year celebration ♡
“I think I have cabin fever.”
“Eddie, shut up— it’s been five minutes,” Steve scolds from the darkened kitchen, where he’s trying to save the newly purchased beer from the warming fridge. He stacks the bottles neatly in a small, square cooler. It won’t keep them cold for long, but hopefully until the power comes back on.
“Soon we’ll have to decide which one of us to eat,” the wild-haired boy continues, still lazing on the couch with a beer in his hand. It stains a damp circle on the thigh of his jeans. He’s not at all fazed by the sudden outage.
“Remind me not to get stranded on an island with you.”
Aglow with orange candlelight, Robin shrugs from the adjacent sofa. She tilts her head on the arm of it to see Eddie more clearly. “The right answer is obviously Steve.”
“Obviously,” Eddie concurs.
“It’s ‘cause he’s so muscly.”
“And he eats, like, super healthy—”
Steve huffs and lugs the chunky cooler back into the living room, cradling the weighty thing with both arms. “Can both of you shut up about pretend cannibalism and help me with the door?”
The conversation stops. They turn to blink at him across the dim room, their faces swirled in a similar look of confusion. “Wait— Where are you going?”
“Next door,” Steve answers, fumbling with the cooler until he can shift it in his hold. The entrance squeaks — a louder sound in the uncanny quiet — when Robin swings it open. “I wanna check on my neighbor.”
You were the first thing that crossed his mind when the lights flickered. Swallowed in darkness, Steve lit a few candles and knew immediately that he’d go to you. He knows you’re alone over there — that you’re alone, and you hate the dark, and that the combination of the two makes you uneasy.
So he’s gonna stay with you until the lights come back on, and hope his friends don’t make him look like a total idiot while he’s doing it.
The emergency lights glow faintly and eerily yellow. Robin and Eddie follow him like lost puppies the short distance down the hall. The latter, blissfully unaware of personal space, leans against Steve’s shoulder like he’s about to tell him a secret. “The pretty neighbor?” the boy croons.
Steve sighs and stops in front of your door. The slightly chipped paint and the crooked numbers on the entryway match his own. He knocks as gently as he can with the toe of his sneaker. “Yes, Eddie. The pretty one,” he answers in a monotone.
“The pretty neighbor you couldn’t shut up about when you were drunk on my couch the other night?” Eddie continues to tease, directly into Steve’s ear, until he’s elbowed half-heartedly away.
The door swings open then. And, truth be told, you were somewhat expecting to see Steve standing there. Lying alone in your bed, trying not to make monsters out of the clothes in the corner, you were girlishly hoping he’d swoop in and save you.
Your heart starts to swell at the sight of him, glowing faintly amber beneath overhead auxiliary lights. Then it gets caught in your throat when you see the two strangers standing just behind him. A pretty girl with a freckled face and a boy with long hair and leftover eyeliner under his eyes.
“There she is,” the one with the wild hair lilts, dropping his head to his shoulder to smile at you.
“Hi,” you greet softly, because it’s muscle memory. Then, when the stranger’s greeting dawns on you— “…What?”
“Nothing. Ignore him,” Steve answers. “Can we come in? I brought booze.”
“Well, how can I say no to that?” you joke with a shy smile. To you, you would’ve said if you were braver. How can I say no to you?
“This is Robin and Eddie, by the way,” he says as he walks into your dimly lit apartment. It’s exactly like his but decorated much more intently — with plants and posters and mood lighting that’d be on under different circumstances. It glows with so many little candles instead, smelling faintly of sage and vanilla.
His two friends follow in behind him — Robin first, with an awkward smile and accompanying wave, and then Eddie, who’s visibly more confident.
Steve laughs. “Sorry. I was kinda in the middle of babysitting before I came over.”
“That’s okay,” you shrug.
“I’ve heard a lot about you,” Eddie says with a wide grin, holding out his hand to shake yours. He wears chunky, silver rings on all his fingers. “And I mean, a lot.”
You stick a hesitant hand in his warmer one. “Oh,” is all you can think to say.
“All good things. Don’t worry… Great things, actually.”
“That’s… good,” you waver with a forced laugh. Eddie hasn’t yet let go of your hand.
“I’ll be honest— when Steve said you were pretty, I was not expecting you to be this pretty.”
Your mouth falls open and then closes again. Sorta like a fish. You try to come up with something to say but can’t think of exactly what. You thought you were the only one telling all of your friends about the pretty neighbor next door.
“Eddie!” Steve scolds from across the room. He idles in the spot where the living room ends and the kitchen begins. He tries to duck away into the latter, but he wants you to come with him — so he can even be halfway alone with you. “Stop flirting and leave her alone.”
Eddie’s face swirls into an insincere pout. He drops your hand to walk further into the room.
“Oh, please, I was just being nice— don’t get your panties in a wad, Harrington.” He bends down at your coffee table, rifling through the bowl of Starbursts there until he finds a yellow one. It isn’t until he pops it into his mouth that he thinks to ask, “These are for everyone, right?”
You giggle again, much more sincere this time. “Sure.”
“Ooh,” Robin squeals under her breath from where she sits on your couch. She’s grabbing a handful of the pink kind before you can blink.
“Wanna help me with these while those idiots act like vultures?” Steve offers with a soft smile.
You know he doesn’t need help. Or, at the very least, that he could ask Robin and Eddie for it. But he’s asking you now, and you think you know a little bit as to why. At least, you hope you do. You nod at him, anyway. “Sure.”
“Sorry about them,” Steve apologizes when you’re both hidden inside the dark kitchen. He drops the cooler onto the counter, then stretches his aching arms while you light a candle.
“Don’t worry about it,” you smile and shake out the match. “They seem really nice.”
“They’re idiots, but they mean well.”
“A little like someone I know.”
Steve meets your quiet smile with a squint. “Stop flirting with me.”
He reaches into the container to grab you a beer from inside it. The entire time, you’re finding the courage to say the words bubbling up in your throat. The five seconds it takes feels like eons and milliseconds at the same time.
“Can I ask you something?” you wonder as he passes you a bottle, the amber glass of it already breaking a sweat.
“Uh-huh.”
Steve uses the hem of his shirt to unscrew the top of his. You idle with yours, letting the cold bottle sting your delicate palm. “Why did you come over?” you ask, and then, when you realize how unkind that sounds, “Not that I’m not thrilled you’re here! I’m always happy to see you! I was hoping you’d come over, actually. I’m just— I’m just curious.”
Steve doesn’t seem to take offense to your words. Instead, the rambling of them makes him smile. “‘Cause I know you don’t like the dark,” he answers with a shrug. “And I didn’t want you to be alone.”
“Oh. That’s nice.”
Again, he only shrugs.
The beer hisses faintly when you unscrew the cap of it. “So you would’ve done it for anyone, then?” you ask him, feigning nonchalance as you take a quick sip from the bottle.
“Hell no,” Steve scoffs.
You swallow and lick your alcohol-slicked lips with wide eyes. “No?”
“If those schmucks in there asked me to bring them free booze ‘cause their power went out, I would laugh in their faces,” Steve confesses, already chuckling at the thought — a golden sound that rivals the orange candlelight.
“I feel special now,” you giggle, hiding it behind the neck of your beer.
“That’s because you are.”
Your face burns hot, like so many orange embers blotching the apples of your cheek. You take a heftier swig of beer. Both to cool your blazing skin and to slow your racing heart.
“And I don’t think I’d be here if it were anybody else,” Steve tells you, raising the lip of his bottle to his mouth. “I like doing nice things for you ‘cause it’s you, you know?”
Your nose scrunches until the edges of your eyes crinkle. “Stop flirting with me,” you tease, parroting his words from earlier.
Steve squints. “Is it that obvious?”
“Drinking booze? In the candlelight? While you tell me pretty things? It couldn’t be more obvious, Steve Harrington.”
“You caught me,” he shrugs and props his elbow on the countertop. He tilts his cheek to his shoulder and flashes you a rosy, lopsided smile. Bathed by candlelight, his eyes glow a more honied shade. “I cut the power to half the city just so I could get you all to myself.”
His tongue swipes along his plush bottom lip. His eyelids get distinctly heavier.
“To yourself and your two best friends?”
You bring him back to reality with seven words. His face twists in offense to them. “Eddie is not my best friend, okay?” he chuckles. “He’s not even in my top ten list of best friends.”
“Don’t be mean,” you giggle, a pretty sound that makes him smile wider.
“Yeah, Stevie,” Eddie calls from the living room. “I have ears, you know? And feelings.”

BEGGING for an ethan x chubby bimbo reader smut ☹️
i cant find any nice or chubby bimbo readers with ethan on here and its awful !! i need her to be so innocent and sweet, just making ethan sandwiches and cookies while he helps her study. and then it gets to her anatomy classes and suddenly hes into the idea of corrupting her innocence, offering to better explain if they're both naked so he can point out each part of her body and then have her guess his. her hands softly touching his thighs and stomach as she tells him exactly what organs are where and hes so hard
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary | it's hard to be someone's tutor when you're always… well hard during your tutoring session. During one of Ethan’s tutoring sessions with you he decides a more hands on approach to anatomy would be better.
a/n | i completely agree !! i love bimbo!reader sm!!
part two
Tumblr media
“Ethan!” He was always startled when you wrapped your arms around him as soon as you opened the door for him. He always came over to yours to study since you lived in New York and your parents paid for your apartment. He liked his alone time with you and if Chad was there it would ruin it, despite the fact he’s practically dying to see how you would look lying in his sheets. He wraps his arms around you and pushes his head into the crook of your neck, breathing in the sickly sweet smell of your perfume. His hands grip at your sides, resisting the urge to slide his hands down and up your shirt.
You pull away from him with a sweet smile and pull him in, “come in i made cookies!” Once he is fully through the door you rush away towards the kitchen, he's immediately hit with the smell of chocolate chip cookies and rushes after you, closing and locking the door before going to fin you in the kitchen. He notices a full tray already on the counter, they look as though they were just pulled out, he looks over at you and gulps. You're bent over, an oven mitt in hand pulling out the second tray, he admires you, your shorts are ride up and he can see the lacey underwear you wear and he suppresses a groan that rises up in his throat. He wants to run his hands over your thick ass, slap in, suffocate himself between them. “Cookies!”
Ethan snaps out of his thoughts as soon as you turn around and smile as you place the cookies on the counter next to the other tray. You admire them and clap before turning back to ethan, “Don't they look good?”
He nods mindlessly, not being able to take his eyes off you. You were mesmerizing, the way your eyes shined as you looked over the cookies and he tried to ignore his more indecent thoughts when he saw you lick your lips. Fuck he was going to get hard, he needed to sit down and cover himself before you realized.
“We can't eat them yet.” You sigh and pout, you were so cute and sweet he wanted to ruin you. ``But I can offer you some brownies I made yesterday. They were really good. Do you want one? You should try one!” You grab his hand and stare up at him with an eager look, he could give you something else to be eager about. “Umm maybe after we finish studying?”
You pout for a moment before nodding, “I guess you're right, that's why you're the smart one! Come on, let's go!’
He follows quickly behind you as you lead him up the stairs like you always did, he definitely didn't just want to get a good look at your ass… definitely not. You rush to sit on the bed, criss-crossed near your pillow with your notebook and textbook. You always had your stuff prepared, he sat on the opposite side of the bed, taking his backpack off and placing it on the ground next to him.
“What do you want to work on today?”
Your sessions always changed depending on what you needed for the week, whether it be math, science, history, or anything else that you needed he was always there to help you. Anything.
“hmm….” You think it over, he watches your face as you have a thoughtful look, you puff out your cheeks slightly as you think it over. He doubts he would ever get over how cute you are. His mind is suddenly filled with the most heinous thoughts. He wants you to only be thinking of him, he wants to be the only thing on your mind, he wants to ruin you.
You face suddenly lights up and you look at him with that innocently joyful face leading him to open up his notebook to cover his very obvious problem.
“i almost forgot i have a science test tomorrow, we should review that.”
“What topic are you guys on?” He wasnt in the same classes as you as he took all the advanced courses and you were in regular classes.
“hmmmm anatomy.. i think.”
The session started off normal, he had managed to suppress his urges and thoughts for a good while until you began to struggle with naming different organs and body parts.
“ugh.” you lightly toss your notebook down and huff. “i just dont get it.”
An idea crosses his mind, an idea that had his pants feeling tighter and his head in the clouds. I mean it was for science right? you wouldn't mind.
“maybe we need to try a more.. hand on approach.”
you tilt your head curiously, “like what?”
“when i say the term you point at me and tell me where on my body it is.”
You smile and nod, “okay!”
God he loved you. Standing up he reaches behind his back and grabs the back of his shirt, stopping at your shocked expression, “ethan what are you doing?”
He laughs, “itll be easier if i dont have any clothes on, they get in the way.”
He rips his shirt off and moves to go for his pants. All you can do is stare at him in shock.
He didn't know where this sudden rush of confidence came from, maybe it was his eagerness? or maybe his stupidity when it came to you.
Once he's fully naked the stupidity of his actions catches up to him and his face flushes, he rushes to sit down and looks at you.
you seem to be in a daze, your eyes cloudy and your eyes pointed downward. Youre looking at his dick.
You look up at him and place your hands on his thighs leading him to whimper.
he was so painful hard, his dick throbbed with need as precum ran down to the sheets, ruining them.
With your sweet smile and eager look you livk your lips before asking, “so… where do we start?”

part two??? JK im already working on it

Suppleness
Mystic au
Stone lion Leona x reader
There was a certain appeal to stone, a suppleness that could be replaced by no other. It almost felt alive, pressed right against the curve of your palm. There were craftsmen who would only to work with the treasure dug out of the Earth, were there not?
Skilled hands spending hours, chiseling away at hardened rock. Calloused hands wrapped around the handles of hammers and chisels, digging them deep into that grey surface. Chipping off bit by bit, knocking away at those great grand monuments of nature’s will.
Until the soul trapped within could finally break free.
You never really took the time to appreciate those structures. Well, until you had the chance to get up and personal with one. Leona always seemed rather fond of that one sunny point in your room.
Leaning against the wall, eyelids yanked shut. His chest rose and fell with the steady beat of his heard, thumping through his chest. It’s hard to see if he truly was asleep, or it was just another act he threw up in front of you.
Leona was… layered. Like the crust of the Earth, each one much more deeper then the last. Piles of history buried under dirt and grime of time long lost, shielding him from whoever dares approach. Leona seems to protects himself with his aloof manner, lazing around like some great big cat.
Yet for all his snoozing, his ears are still upright, twitching away at every sound echoing around him. Despite all of his flippant grumbles about “leaving the god-damned guardian life behind”, he was still protecting you, to this very day.
Such devotion required a… reward, no?
Squatting down, you stare at your familiar from across the room. Slowly shuffling towards him with tensed shoulders, stifling your laugh as you inch closer.
How have the tables turned. The hunter being hunted… in a sense.
If Leona noticed you, he didn’t let on. Still that same great old statue of rock, frozen stock-still. You shift a little bit closer, closer enough for you to see every bit of his face. From the curve of his lips, to that thread-thin scar running through his eyelid. Like a crack, in an otherwise flawless sculpture.
You didn’t mind it so much. It gave him a certain character. Honestly? It’s more impressive he has that scar. It meant he survived.
That’s much more important than any victory, is it not?
Slowly, you stretch your hand out. Hand hovering over his scar, not quite reaching his skin. You wait there in silence, for any sign of discomfort from Leona.
He shifts ever so slightly in his sleep, eyes still yanked shut, shoulders dipping into your direction. Pressing his face into your fingertips grudgingly, an odd rumbling clawing its way out of his throat.
Well, that certainly wasn’t an objection. Gently, you trace the jagged edges of his wound, before gingerly cupping his cheeks within your hands. His skin was surprisingly supple, a far cry from the stiffness of rock. It was… pleasant, really. You could feel his warmth bleed into your skin, a soft embrace.
You two sat right there, under the golden glow of the sun’s halo. Basking in the warmth of each other. Bit by bit, you could feel your eyelids grow heavy, head dipping with every passing second.
The rustle of cloth startled you out of your daze. A weight pressed itself into your hips, a pair of arms wrapping themselves around you. Blinking in surprise, you glance back at Leona’s face.
Only to meet a pair of half-lidded emerald eyes, twinkling with mischief. A dastardly smirk plays on his lips, the very corners twitching upwards. He pulls you closer, close enough for your chest to be pressed up against his. Close enough for you to feel his heartbeat through his skin, a steady tempo.
Lowering his head, Leona nuzzles into the crook of your shoulder, his breath tickling the base of your neck. You could feel his fangs graze over your bare skin, razor sharp blades glide right over you. Yet you couldn’t feel even the very slightest hint of aggression from him.
“Hey, Leona?”
You mutter.
All you get as a response was a grunt, yet you know Leona a little too well to get offended. You know he’s listening, emerald eyes fixated on you attentively.
“You’re surprisingly soft.”
That earned a chuckle out of him, chest shaking from laughter. You could feel the way it trembled against your own, shuddering from that laugh. He tugs you closer, head bumping against yours gingerly.
“I’m soft, huh? That’s some audacity, Master. To use a lion as ya’ personal pillow.”
He laughs again, a rich sound, with a certain roughness around the edges. A hearty husky sort of chuckle that just melted in your ears in the most delightful way. Leona buries his head in the curve of your shoulder and the base of your neck, yet you could still feel his smile press into your skin, stretching wide.
“Ain’t like I’m complaining though.”

Pretty like the sun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Previous chapter / Next chapter
a/n the follow up chapter AND This is pretty like the wind series spin offs. This can be read as standalone all you need to know is that Azriel has two adoptive kids with OC - Zofie and Axel. Future stories related to them might include stories specifically decided to Azriel hence why I am taging it as Azriel story too. Don't come at me please. ✨
warning: none? A bit of fighting, blood.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Zofie's pov:
She had been beaming all morning. Not only had it been the best sleep of her life, but there was something so surreal about waking up in the arms of a man you had the biggest crush on. There was a moment when Zofie was sure that it was her sleepy brain playing a trick on her. That Nyx wasn't there with her. They weren't actually in the same situation. Limbs tangled. But Nyx's arms, which had quite a firm hold on her hips, felt all too real. His breathing did, too. So did his messy hair and slightly pouty lips.
How did one look so adorable in their sleep? Mother, he would be a frowning mess if she called him cute. But he was, and Zofie had to try really hard to suppress the giddy excitement that bubbled in her chest. Nuzzling back into the crook of Nyx's neck, she breathed in his scent. Feeling her body melt into it. Oh, how she missed him when he was away. How oddly lonely she felt. Truth be told, Zofie didn't have many friends. A couple of younger priestesses that Gwyn was teaching, yes, but they practically never talked. So... not friends. But Nyx had always been so keen on getting her attention. She was weary of him at first. He was the most talkative kid she had ever seen. But then Zofie only had a handful of traumatized sanctuary toddlers to compare him to. His bubbly side chipped away with the years, though. More often than not, the smile that was plastered on Nyx's face was nowhere near the smile he used to give her when they were younger.
"You're the cuddliest person I've come across in my entire life," Nyx grumbled, opening one eye to look at her. "So, if I pulled away now..." Zofie muttered, but Nyx's grip on her tightened immediately, "Don't you even think about it?" His morning voice was raspy and, oh, so delicious. "Got you," Zofie breathed out, shaking her head. He never denied her touch. She could watch him roll his eyes at Feyre kissing his cheek, but the next minute he would be right next to Zofie, his fingers subtly reaching for her as their palms brushed against one another.
"Do you think if I don't open my eyes, we can pretend that we don't have to go back?" Nyx muttered, and Zofie could sense the dread in his tone. "Your mom probably misses you a lot," she said softly. "Cause Ma always cries when Axel comes home, so I'm sure the high lady would..." "Don't." Nyx's whole body stiffened. Zofie frowned as specks of red fell onto the sheets. He was mad. Or frustrated, at least. "Did something happen?" Her voice grew weary, and Nyx's face grew ashamed. Hands pulling the girl back to his chest, "Promise it's nothing; I'm sorry, just tired," he breathed out. She didn't say anything after that. Letting the silence stretch over them both.
"My... The high lords are hosting a ball", and Nyx sounded as if this was the most dreadful thing he had to make himself think about once again. Zofie quickly cut in, "You don't want to go?". Nyx huffed, "Something like that." She never really understood if the high lords of the night court enjoyed the festivities themselves. Rhys, Nyx's dad, was a charmer, always quick to tell a joke. His grin never failed at balls and parties. But Zofie had caught him once. Head in hands. Messy hair. Wrinkled shirt. It was such a difference compared to that beaming smile she had seen on her high lord's face only moments ago. "Well, Axel and I will probably be there if our parents are going," Zofie breathed out, hoping to ease some of the tension, but Nyx simply shook his head. "I have a feeling it's the lordship shit," the heir growled before explaining even further, "Preppy parents in desperate need to marry off their children to form bonds between courts."
And here it was. This was the thing Nyx hated with a burning passion. All he wanted was to be normal. A young man still so full of life not some crystal gem for everyone to drool over. He cringed and frowned at all the titles people threw his way. And Zofie... Zofie hated every single female who felt entitled to come and touch him, pull at his hands, and rub at him like cats in heat. "Oh, Nyx," she breathed, her fingers carefully brushing through his hair. His fingers grazed her wrist tenderly. "Everyone is making such a big fuss over it too," he admitted as Zofie nodded in agreement. No wonder he was stressed. Especially if he was also to be left alone. Only with nobility to keep him company all night long.
"Bitch your way through it," Zofie muttered, and Nyx let out the most genuine chuckles she had heard in a while. But it had also died down as quickly as it started, "Will you tell me why you were by the river last night?" Zofie knew this was coming. Nyx had a hard time letting go of the topics he wanted to discuss. And he had been more than clear that he was going to get the answer out of her about this. So fighting this...
"I have a sister," Zofie breathed, her eyes falling to the crisp white sheets on the bed. Nyx shifted slightly, his hand dipping beneath the blanket to run soothingly up her thigh, "I hear a sad note in that," he muttered. And Zofie hated that. She hated that she was still upset over something she genuinely wanted. She didn't care much about having to share her parents' attention for a while. It was everything else that ticked her off. "She's perfect", Zofie let out a deep sigh, "Has wings, no flaws. She's perfectly Azriel's". Her voice died down, overpowered by the growl Nyx had let out. "Has that asshole?", "No, no, I just... it's me," Zofie shook her head, "I felt... irrelevant.".
The room fell silent. She watched as Nyx blinked a couple of times, letting her words sink in, "Don't you talk shit like that about yourself?" His voice had an edge to it. A powerful force. "But it's true; I'm Illyrian but have no wings," Zofie muttered, turning to play with her fingers instead. Admitting her fears and insecurities felt humiliating almost. "I'll always be your wings," Nyx's much bigger palm cupped hers, giving it a little squeeze. "What have I done to deserve you, huh?" Zofie chuckled slightly, hoping to mask the sting in her eyes. Nyx crooked his head to the side. Watching her for a moment, "You didn't have to do anything. I'm the one who's lucky that you were born.".
Nyx's pov:
They had laughed through the whole flight back to the city. And the closer they got, the more Nyx dreaded it. He didn't care much about the shit he was going to get from Rhys. But it's the letting go part that pressed against his chest. He knew, for a fact, that if not tonight, then by the next morning they would be ushered back into the camps up the mountain. Yes, he was happy to learn and to earn a rank, but leaving her here felt like a dreadful task. Not to mention that they weren't allowed to write letters while they were up there. Not to mention that Nyx had a whole box of letters he had written for Zofie. Ones he had written while up there. Ones that no one would ever see.
Zofie had asked him to drop her off at the edge of the forest near the house. "Better if you don't just walk in. You know my dad," she said. However, Nyx felt it the minute Zofie's legs hit the snow beneath her. He had barely let go of her when the claws of darkness pulled him back, nearly sending him to his feet. But he expected this. Escaping the spymaster under the protection of his father's wards was one thing. The moment they were on the perimeter of Velaris, well, let's say that was Azriel's hunting territory. And that male always hunted as if he were starving.
Nyx had seen Azriel pissed more than once, but the frown on his face this time was unmatched. And accompanied by the dark circles beneath his eyes. Yeah, he looked as if he was out for blood. "You forgot yours, young man," the spymaster said through gritted teeth as his shadows roped around the princeling's ankles and wrists.
"Dad, that's enough." Zofie stomped through the thick snow, trying to get in between the two of them. Nyx wished she wasn't there. He hated it when she was there to witness their snarls. "You lost all sense of fun, uncle," Nyx said mockingly. His own hands grew dark, seizing the spymaster's dark, as cold gloominess chased all of Azriel's shadows away. "You had no right to take her like that," Azliel bit back; his wings were arched in a warning, but Nyx didn't skip a beat, doing just the same.
"No one took me," Zofie growled with a huff. And it was the way Azriel had turned back to look down at her that broke the last sense of logic within Nyx. It was the way his big frame looked toward her when Azriel snared, "I wasn't speaking to you, young lady," that undid Nyx. "Why?", he asked bitterly, "Because you forgot that she existed? The new child has already taken too much of your time?". It felt as if the whole world had stopped. Even the snowflakes seemed to have seized in their fall. "Nyx..." he said, meeting Zofie's pleading eyes. Saw her shaking her head in disapproval. But he was truly seeing red. No one had a right to make her. Make his sunshine feel small.
"What did you just say?" Azriel frowned, slightly taken back, but his demeanor was still predatory. The princeling only growled back at the shadowsinger. "Nyx for fuck sake," Zofie pleaded, panic raising to her features as she moved closer to her dad in hopes of putting distance between them. But it was for nothing when Nyx muttered, "You heard me loud and clear, spymaster." Nyx managed to spare Zofie one look. One look before his vision was interrupted by black dots as his head was wiped to the side from the impact. Zofie's shriek pierced the silence, rippling over every surface.
Nyx knew that, in a way, he deserved it, so it didn't surprise him. He had been messing with the habitat of fae males. One who had just become a father. One who's instinct to protect was on such high alert. But he had to. Had to stand up for her. "Papa, please," Zofie pleaded. Nyx wiped the warm liquid trickling down the side of his lip. Oh, he was not going to go down without a fight. "Please, let's just go home. Please, I'm sorry". Her tiny hands were grasping at Azriel's hands, trying to pull him back. "Don't you apologize for him," Nyx snarled, but Zofie's firey eyes met his as she muttered, "Shut up." Only now did Nyx notice the tears streaming down her rosy cheeks. Only now did he see the quiver in her chin.
"Zof," Nyx breathed out, but the girl had simply turned her back on him. "Come on, papa, please," she pleaded once more, and this time it was enough to get Azriel's attention. His chest was still heavy as he breathed through his anger. "If I ever catch you doing anything like this," Azriel snarled, stepping forward to look at Nyx, but Zofie pushed back, putting all of her weight against her dad. "Consider yourself fucking lucky." Azriel flapped his wings a couple of times before reaching for Zofie's hand, tugging her alongside him as the shadows swallowed them both.
Your pov:
Quite frankly, you knew something was wrong from the moment you looked up to see Zofie's pale face when Novie was born. And deep down, you knew that this insecurity that was quite clearly blooming right in front of you was inevitable. You just didn't know it would take a turn like that. Zofie had always been good about voicing her discomfort, and you had always encouraged her to speak her mind, but it seemed as if your love had been lost in the shuffle of it all.
You knocked on her bedroom door gently. It's been a couple of hours since she and Azriel got back home. Your mate, mostly thanks to his lack of sleep, assumed that you both hadn't noticed your girl not being home and, and then hadn't felt them coming home. It was the stench of anger that was dripping from Azriel that was enough to let you know that a fight must have happened. And this sort of frustration as of lately was only brought on by one person.
Without getting an answer, you just let yourself in after a while. Zofie was curled up in a ball, and the blanket Azriel had knitted for her was tightly wrapped around her. That fact must have slipped her mind, considering the fight the two have been in. Sitting down on the very edge, you let your fingers gently brush through Zofie's dark waves.
"Sweetness, why don't you eat up? It's lunchtime", you said gently, nodding towards the plate of warm food you had brought up for her. She simply shook her head, turning away from your touch. A sharp ache pierced your heart. If your children were hurting, so were you. You climbed into the bed, nudging her slightly as you moved to wrap your arms around the girl. Let her be the little spoon.
Zofie laid as still as a statue for a moment before her arms snaked around yours. "Now he will never love me again," Zofie's voice was barely a whisper, but you still managed to hear her perfectly well. "Who, baby?" you asked, running your fingers up and down her arm. She stilled for a moment before looking up to catch your gaze and saying, "Papa." A breath hitched in your throat. "Lovie," you muttered.
Zofie quickly shuffled, sitting up. "First, I don't have wings; now he thinks I'm sneaking behind his back with Nyx," she blurted out in a rush, "And I'm not, I promise." She caught your arm, shaking it slightly. You cupped her face softly and said, "There is nothing wrong with you falling in love." Her face scrunched up so hard that you almost had to laugh. "I'm not in love. I'm not", she stated. "Okay, okay," you muttered, tapping her cheek playfully.
"And Azriel loves you, Zo." Your tone was much firmer now. You understood the fears. Mother, even you still had them. Wondering why? Why had Azriel chosen you, and what did he see in you? So for a teenager to have emotions like that, "He had loved you from the moment he saw you," you added.
Zofie bit her lip as if contemplating her next words for a moment, "But his yellow is fading", she admitted. Her colors. She found comfort in them, but good things usually come with baggage. Understanding the amount of emotion there was still a hard task. "That doesn't mean he stopped loving you. Maybe the color is evolving. Shifting into something different", you said softly. You made a mental note to ask her tutor to find her a book about the colors of emotions to read. Well, one that she hadn't already devoured.
"Hate," those silent words, made your mind halt. You shook your head. "Love has different forms; you'll learn that along the way," You reached up to carefully take her necklace between your fingers. "Papa is on edge right now because a lot of things are changing. He's sensitive because he's lost so much already. Losing all of us would break him without repair." It felt like a lot to unload on her, but she had to see that Azriel's love hadn't just faltered or disappeared because of Novie. Thinking like wings, no wings, scars on no, even the blood bond didn't matter to Azriel. Zofie pinched her eyebrows. "Is he home?", she breathed, "I need to...", "He's out on his broody walk, but I'm sure he'll be back soon," you said softly, reaching for the plate and handing it to her. She was desperate to make sure that she had at least some food in her stomach.
Nyx pov:
He had lost track of how long he had been flying. Nor did he know where he was going, but regardless of his endless attempts to escape it, Nyx knew that he would have to go home eventually. A part of him hoped that Rhys wouldn't have been able to sniff this one out, but then Nyx had lost track of his uncle fairly early on. So Azriel could have already been stomping his foot in his father's office.
"Purple truly suits you." As if on cue, Rhys's voice rang out. He was seated in front of a fireplace. A drink in hand. His usual black button-up shirt hugged his skin. Nyx didn't hate his father. He hated the high-lord aspect of him. Yes, he was different from most. Mother, spare anyone from a father like Beron, but... he still valued his position a bit too much at times. Nyx simply shook his head, shifting to move toward the back patio, but his father's voice stopped him, "I don't remember letting you walk away.".
Nyx let out a bitter chuckle, "Oh, so now I am to obey you too, like a servant?" It was bitter; he knew it. But Nyx just wasn't in the mood—wasn't in the mood to deal with any of this right now. "You're my son," Rhys stated firmly, his purple eyes gleaming. "Doesn't that just suit your story?" Nyx barked back, matching his father's glare. "Nyx," Rhys said in a warning tone, but the princeling was already walking. "I'll be with Mom," he breathed over his shoulder.
The wind that hit his face as he stepped outside soothed his heated cheeks. He always loved the walk towards his mother's gallery. It had always been his favorite time of the day when the two of them would go there. Gods, did he need to clear his head. Anything. Everything. All he could think of was her. Yet... two hands clasped his shoulders, making Nyx quickly spin back, putting whoever was behind him in a chokehold.
"Well, dang, you're on edge, my man," a familiar voice rasped out, and Nyx instantly let go, pushing the figure forward. "What the hell are you doing here?", he whispered. Axel simply smirked before shrugging, even if his eyes lingered on the library door for a bit too long. "I came to see how my dad painted your face," Axel chuckled, "Pretty." Nyx simply flipped his friends off and said, "Fuck off." Yet the corners of his lips did twitch slightly. Axel always had that effect on him. It was hard to not smile around him.
"She's okay," Axel muttered, making Nyx's eyes snap up at him. Yet he refused to give in to it. "I don't care," he said simply. Axel raised one eyebrow at his friend, tilting his head to the side, and, "Right, so you wouldn't care if I told you that mom got her to eat, and she's much calmer now." Nyx's shoulders eased a bit. Eased almost immediately. A calmness like no other washed over him as he nodded in agreement.
"She asked about you." Now these words struck a chord with Nyx, and his big eyes were instantly searching for Axel. "Did she?", Nyx breathed out desperately. Axel simply chuckled, slowly shaking his head, "No, but I love proving a point." Nyx let out a growl, "I'm so kicking your ass on the sparring mat." But he couldn't help but smile now. Because Axel knew him. And in a way, this was his silent way of approving. Or at least not stepping between him and Zofie.
But Axel's eyes lingered behind his friend, and Nyx's eyes instantly followed suit. Only he caught sight of white robes slipping back inside the library. Nyx instantly turned back to face Axel. "What was that?", he questioned. Axel blinked a couple of times, "What was what?". Oh, but Nyx wasn't stupid. "That look," he muttered, motioning his hand towards Axel's face, "Are you fucking a prestress?" Axel frowned at the question instantly, his eyes finally moving to gaze at his friend, "What the hell, man, wash your mouth." Nyx chuckled slightly, but he knew deep down that the moment they were going to be better on the camp walls, he was going to get his answers one by one. Now all he needed was his sun. His Sunny and for some reason risking a black eye didn't seem that big of a sacrifice.

Clown Reader and the monster yan scientist introduced to their show to teach it about the world -
You enter the dimly lit patted cell with your hands against the wall as the metal door slams shut behind you. The stale air is pungent - acidic. Your nails chip at wearing paint as they scrape along the crevices in the walls as you stumble through the dark, tripping over your own signed merch and what you will yourself to believe are plastic dolls. The sole source of light in the room emits from a television in its far right corner. Matted hair and skeletal fingers obscure the familiar vibrant set on display - your own, chipper voice reverberating throughout the hollow prison.
"Now, I want you to close your eyes, wrap your arms around your chest, and give a biiiig squeeze. That's me, hugging you! - until next time. See you soon!"
The hands peel away from the tv with a wet sliick! as the arms attached fall around its shadowed frame. A tiny doll rests nestled in the crook of its elbow as the shadow rasps and coos in delight - lengthy, slime drenched ashen tongue patting the toy's rosy cheek. The teeth embedded into the muscle flattened againat the doll's face as it drags across - retracting into the grey flesh and leaving the plush exterior unscathed. You step back; beady, sunken eyes darting in your direction as your foot lands on the voicebox stitched into the stomach of one of your dolls.
"Cuddle me!"
The shadow drops to all four, cradling the arm with your doll to its chest. You soon realize it's number of limbs was double by three as five hands find perch on parts of your body. A growl rumbles in its throat and through your teeth, but as its jaws draw towards your neck it stops to sniff your skin. The creature looks between you and the doll in its hand, chittering softly as its eyes switch between the mini you and the real thing. You crack a smile, blinking tears from your eyes.
"H-hey, big guy! My friends out there tell me you're a fan, and from the looks of you, you might be the biggest! What's your name?"
The creatures hisses return with vengeance at the mention of others, but break into gentle purrs at the acknowledgment of being your greatest fan. It lets you go, searching around and plucking something off the breast pocket of one of those dolls you saw earlier. It licks the rectangle clean of the viscous fluid staining its frontside. It shoves the nametag in your face, tapping its claws against the plastic.
"Kevin? Your name is Kevin?"
The creature coos again, nodding its head before dipping in to sweep its tongue cross your cheek. Your smile becomes a little more genuine as you wipe your face on your sleeve. You extend your arms as it drops the doll and holds out theirs. "It's nice to meet you, Kevin."
Crackposts because yes:
Clown Reader, pointing at the scientists hiding behind thick glass: Kevin, can you tell me who this is?
Kevin, growling: Sinclair....
Clown Reader: Right! [Points at themselves] Who am I?
Kevin: Spouse.
Clown Reader: It's Y/n, actually
Kevin: Mine.
Clown Reader: Y/n
Kevin: Love.
-
Clown Reader: Ok, gang! Hope you're all ready to meet the new member to our crew.
Clown Reader, walks back stage and pulls a paper mask over Kevin's head: Alright, Kev! This is your first show. If you be good, we can do all tons of stuff together. Remember our number one rule?
Kevin: No biting. No scratching. No eating. Smile and wave
Clown Reader: Wonderful! Well, we can't keep them waiting any longer
[Clown Reader leads Kevin outside who immediately side eyes a literal puppet, pointing at its sockets before pointing down at it. The puppet silently sinks below the table.]
