I feel like I don't see enough closeted queer positivity (maybe I live under a rock but I've barely seen ANY this pride month but we need more regardless) so

I love you fellow closeted queer folx. Whether you're not out in ANY capacity, you're not out to your family, you're just not out to a few specific people, you're debating if it's safe to come out or not, you know it is safe to come out but you still haven't done it, you never plan to come out - You are amazing and wonderful and valid. It sucks ass living in a society where you have to hide a part of you are and it is SO scary sometimes. There is no obligation to come out ever, and your safety and comfort always comes first. Wherever you are, I hope you can find some way to express the parts of yourself you're forced to hide, be it now or in the future. You're incredibly strong and I care about you so much <3

Yes, it might be easier for family and friends to continue believing that you're cis. Alternatively, they might prefer to get closer to you by knowing who you really are. However, their needs are not the only consideration.

Whether you need to stay closeted for your safety or come out for your peace of mind, you deserve to honor yourself, too.

i think the craziest part of ice ado cancellation to me is like. i remember checking the yoi tag last year and was disappointed by just. the absolute flood of "i lost my passion for this show my inner yoi fan is going into hibernation until ice ado comes out" type posts, but just kinda shrugged and went on because hey, i kinda moved on to different fandoms too.

but than the cancellation news dropped and i check the tag and yeah. there's a lot of people expressing their disappointment and anger with mappa, but there's also so much new art, new posts of people expressing their love for the show and what we were so fortunate to have been given despite everything and i just.

can we promise to keep this fandom alive? to survive just like we did back in 2017-2019 when there was nothing new but the occasional official promo art or a stage play or even skygem's retirement au? older fandoms than us have survived for longer with their newest canon content being decades ago, surely we can all have fun rediscovering and continuing our love for this wonderful story of rediscovering and reinventing what the word love means, whether on the ice or off it.

What l want for s5 is a parallel to the van scene + that heart-to-heart scene in Will’s room where this time, Will and Mike are talking in Mike’s room and Will off-handedly mentions that since his house got raided so all the art he made last year (we all know it’s 6 months but these two are so dramatic-) is probably gone by now and that’s a shame, and then Mike goes “Can I show you something?” and pulls out a binder of all the art Will had given him over the years, and Will just flips through it in shock but he’s smiling with every page he turns and Mike watches Will with a soft smile of his own too and then they share a look but before they can talk they get interrupted-
