I wish people would stop taking advantage of butch chivalry. It’s so fucking frustrating. A chivalrous butch is such a beautiful thing. Butchness (especially butches who follow classic butch code/practice chivalry) is a type of masculinity that allows for vulnerability and the breaking of so many barriers. To see butches so often be picked up, played with for a bit, and then dropped completely out of nowhere/abused/have their kindness used against them etc. is absolutely infuriating. Butches are already so fucking hated in our community and our history is actively trying to be erased. I feel like so many people date butches just because they know they can take advantage of us. Or use us for sex until they get tired of us and then ditch without ever even implying something was wrong beforehand. Fuck.
