When Tim is seven, they have a parent career day at his school. The point of the project is to showcase to other classmates, staff and the parents and families that visit what their parent or parents do for a living.
A lot of the students have businesmen for dads and stay at home mums, as typical for the high class, but not all of them do. Some are CEOâs, some own a unique company or business, or got their wealth from sports or entertainment.
For Tim, his parents have two very unique jobs even if they are technically from generational wealth, that being Drake Industries that creates medical supplies as well as funds vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks. Stuff that looks great on paper and gets them support even if the two care little for it and more for their second form of income.
Janet was more into the archeology that showed history in culture and progression of society, story telling and proof of civilisations, while Jack was far more fond of the animals that existed or still do and how they have changed.
So naturally, Tim excitedly chose to talk about their extensive work in the latter.
Janet had single handedly proved several historical theories true and false, her unrelenting determination to proving she was right and using her connections and charming nature to do so.
Jack had discovered a whole new dinosaur that he named after his wife, as well as being one of the loudest in discussion of such beings and their feathers.
Tim found he enjoyed his motherâs work most, as cool as dinosaurs were, because his mother had taught him about how ropes and cogs were once all the âtechnologyâ anyone had.
So, Tim Drake set about showcasing his mums hard work and after being denied brining a rare pot she had found, he decided to make a copy of it out of clay in the schools art room. The teacher helped him with dry hands and a kind smile, excited on his behalf as he so clearly enjoyed the process and seeing how else clay crafts were used.
Tim stood proudly at his table, several paragraphs written out and printed out for people to read about his parents achievements and a diagram of the skeletal structure his father had discovered not long after Tim was born. Many people praised him, saying how well he did for such a young age, only to be even more awed when he explained he made the pot himself and it wasnât the real deal, but a replica.
It depicted Aphrodite as she stood over roses, at the time white but some clearly darkening as the thrown cut her foot, while she made her way over to a figure that was known to be Adonis as he laid dying from a boar beside him. It looked very simpler to real Greek art, though of course a little wonky and with less dirt and ancient clay, but the pottery was exceptional by a childâs hand. Hell, even a teenager.
Tim was so very happy, waiting patiently for his parents to come and see what he had done, how he had shown everyone in his school how cool and clever they were and even made some of the olde kris look at him with jealousy, butâŚ
They never came.
Not because they were hurt or sick or worse, dead, but because they were too tired from their trip they had gotten back from a week ago.
But Tim was a Drake, he wouldnât show his growing anxiety and fear, instead he stood tall and spoke animatedly too anyone who would listen and avoided questions on where Janet and Jack were just like they had taught him to when pushed for sensitive information.
Tim took the pot home and Janet smiled at him, telling him it was âniceâ.
She didnât point out the errors or anything, said nothing bad and had no disgusted expression, she just⌠called it nice. And moved on.
Seven year old Tim smashed the pot against his bed room wall and cried his eyes out until he fell asleep.
When he woke up he came to a conclusion: he simply hadnât done a good enough job and if he was more accurate, had less bumps and used more polish, heâd get a better reaction.
So thatâs what he did.
The second pot got a confused brow furrow and he was asked why he was showing it again, after all they were busy people and they had already seen it?
Tim made a different one and got a similar answer to the first, though Jack did give him a pat on the head!
Tim decided to make a few, perfect his craft more, until he showed them more so he could truely wow them.
Yet a funny thing happened while he made his replica pots and bowls.
He started to have fun.
Soon it became known to the staff at his school that if you couldnât find Timothy, he wasnât flagging school, he was in the art room. Given he had such good grades and had plenty of friends, none of them had a problem with this as it wasnât affecting him badly.
Tim made a mug for his art teacher that was shaped to look like a tree stump and asked for help to paint it from his friend Ives whose mother was an artist, who got tips from his mum and taught his friend how to shade and paint on canvas first.
As thanks, Tim made Ives a little clay mushroom charm that the other boy made into a bracelet.
Eventually Tim is having so much fun with his crafting heâs even having to buy creams and ointments so his hands donât get so cracked and cry. He has a whole draw for his art clothes lest he get too many dirtied, as well as a shelf in the art room for his creations.
By the time heâs nine he hasnât shown his parents many of his creations and while he enjoys the bits of praise he gets, the lacklustre response just bums his out, so he stops. They arenât mad about it, nor are they really in favour of it, they just donât seem to care all that much.
Tim knows better than to waste their time too much and just enjoys their company when he can.
When Tim becomes Robin heâs started commissions within his school and friend group, including a smoking tray for Kevin, a chess piece set for Wesley and a rose candle holder for Darla.
Ives gets the most bit thatâs because he gives them to his mum as gifts.
He stops his craft while he trains, usually too tired to do so, but finds making simple vases and bowls is calming for his mind. Batman tells him he needs to have ways to detach from his night life so they donât get too blurred, a mistake he himself made, and so Tim uses his clay craft to do that.
He makes Bruce a mug shaped like a bat for him to have in the cave and itâs the first thing that starts to break Bruce in regards to seeing Tim as more than just the new Robin.
Tim makes Alfred a kettle pot, a simple thing as itâs his first time doing so, and paints it with buttercups.
Barbara gets a big eye charm that has several little ones hanging off wires from its base. The window charm moves with her to the clock tower even years after.
He makes Dick an elephant with pink markings over it like the one he saw on the circus posters from The Flying Graysonâs. Dick still ainât happy about there being someone in his brothers suit, not really, but he was never going to truely take that out on Tim and seeing the sweet gift left in his car makes him feel a little lighter.
It still hurts them all to see a young boy in their house thatâs not Jason, but with Tim being so different they soon stop making the comparisons so much. Thereâs still damage down, words that will stick with Tim, but itâs not as bad.
Tim makes Cass whole collection of little things like a tiny duck and frog, as well as hats for them. He makes her a plate thatâs just for her with a teddy bear curled around a heart, her initials on the back.
He makes Steph a stupidly intricately engraved brick all for the inside joke between them, but the way she cackled is well worth it.
His teammates get so many gifts he canât count them all, though his favourite will be the mini versions of them he made and that they put as the centre piece of the towers dining table.
When Jason comes back he doesnât make anything, not even when the misunderstandings have been cleared up. Jason openly refuses to change his violent ways even if he promises to be more friendly, but thatâs not why. Tim is still so hurt at seeing his childhood hero so broken that he canât bear to think of it, until he watches Bridgerton of all things and starts to think differently.
Tim comers how different Jason must feel and how lonely that must feel, so he makes him something special. It by all means looks like a book even itâs an all clay, though the bones and flowers over the binding give it away with their glistening. Jane Austinâs Sense and Sensibility was hard to paint, and that wasnât never one of Timâs strengths, so he doesnât do the cover art and instead writes out the letters prettily and hopes itâs enough.
Jason never responds to the gift outwardly, but the way he ruffled Timâs hair just to annoy the other tells him enough.
Duke gets three necklaces that piece together to make one big charm, blending together in a colourful spiral perfectly. One is for him, the other two for his catatonic parents. When he realises what Tim made them for her cries, hugging Tim so tightly heâs afraid heâll pop.
Damian is the last to receive any gift, their rivalry far too strong, though it ironically Timâs favourite.
The stump like cup has several little mushroom cups around its sides and set of dips fit for a paintbrush. Tim explains the centre is for water and the other parts made for water colour paints or even acrylic, though that will be harder to clean even with the setting spray.
Damian claims to not use it and only Alfred knows how he asks how to properly clean it without causing damage.
Tim never truely gets to show his parents his hobby, not even when his mum goes and he and his father get a little closer. It hurts him naturally, though when he spots an old high school friend at a coffee shop asking for a drink in her keep cup he made her, he decides that his city has given him what he needed. Gotham and its people, his friends and those who watched him grow up, they gave him the acknowledgment and encouragement he wanted from Jack and Janet.
Itâs not perfect, his city isnât, but neither was his first pot.

Astrology placements that are ignored/underrated
12th house stelliums: people with prominent 12th house placements tend to be forgotten about a lot I notice. Many were very outcasted from an early age or were used to others pushing them into the background. they donât get credit for their amazing creativity & emotional intelligence. They have extremely colorful inner worlds and can live more in their head than in the real world which is a reason why they can be easily overlooked in a group. Many feel like they are in the outside looking in like they were meant to just be observers in the world and never participate. They experience a lot of solitude in their lives but this solitude teaches them how to heal themselves & others. They gain a lot of wisdom from their time alone and they can be emotional sponges soaking up others energies easily which is why they tend to isolate a lot to recharge. They need a lot of alone time to function properly in the world if they donât get enough alone time they can start acting very dysfunctional.
Mercury in Pisces & Cancer: they donât get enough credit for how intelligent they truly are. Being water signs they are able to absorb information quickly & retain if for a long time too. They tend to have a very high emotional IQ. They have an amazing ability to read the room and can pick up on things that arenât verbally said. They are quite influential as well and can control what people think to an extent (can be very manipulative because they are so good at emotional cues). They can manipulate you into taking their side.
Taurus moons: although exalted I feel like people really donât talk about this sign much. They are usually very sexy people and are very comfortable in their natural bodies. Very intelligent and money driven. These people are literal money magnets. Because of their reliable and practical nature many can climb the corporate ladder faster than most. They are very reasonable and factual which is why many tend to be politicians or big bosses. Very conventional personalities. Also the creativity in their fashion is extremely underrated. These people can pull off such interesting pieces.
Virgo placements: I feel like Virgo placements get one of the worst reps of the zodiac. Many describe Virgos as being very naggy, insecure, hypercritical, bland ect. Virgo in astrology rules the untouched, unreachable, purity, devotion, analysis and healing. Virgos also rules over the maiden that is known for traditional beauty in astrology. This makes them usually very desirable and attractive which is why many Virgo risings tend to be models they represent the untouchable and the high standards of traditional beauty. Virgos face a lot of traumatic sacrifices that they often make for themselves & others. Many Virgos couldâve grown up having to almost serve others and make a lot of sacrifices to keep others happy. Couldâve been expected to heal those around them which is why many can be so hard on themselves and expect perfection out of everything they do. Many expected them to keep up a âperfect personaâ mostly their family which they carry around everywhere. I also notice a lot growing up weâre constantly criticized for their looks/appearance. For example; Bella Hadid (Virgo risings) dealt with a mother who would compare her beauty to her sisters and commented on her weight. Couldâve been pushed too much to be âlady-likeâ creating a deep obsession with their looks and lower self esteem. Could feel restricted from showing sex appeal or could be over-sexualized by others.
The 4th house: the fourth house rules over your families karmic cycles, ancestors, all family members, generational wealth, the home, your environment & your deepest emotional point. People with placements here tend to experience mood swings & absorbing other peopleâs emotions like sponges. You can also tell someoneâs life story or background just by this house alone as it represents the beginning and ending point. Most people with a lot of 4th house placements tend to prefer solitude and alone time in order to recharge & their emotions run very deep
The 7th house: is honestly crazy misunderstood! Itâs not only about relationships which is what I notice people mostly talk about when this house is brought up. It rules of contracts, how people see you, rumors, law, your part in social standing, and enemies. The way people treat you is based on this house, the way you perceive yourself and express yourself to the world is the 1st house just to get that straight. The 7th house can be a big fame indicator and usually points to either success or failure in the public eye. Which is why itâs common for people with sun in the 7th or Pluto in the 7th to gain massive fame or have extreme power in the public eye, but it can also indicate the rumors people spread about you and the enemies you attract. You can attract a lot of jealousy from others. Having heavy 7th house placements can be talked about by others a lot for good or for bad. You are usually peopleâs main topic of conversation, people love to hate you! Especially if you have a Sun, Venus, Uranus, & Pluto in the 7th house.
Mercury aspects: you can see someoneâs humor, mannerisms and tone of voice through this planet. If someone talks too much they most likely have Gemini-sag in their Mercury, if someone is academically disciplined yet judgmental it seems to always be cap mercs, if someoneâs comedic and a great host with a flirty nature usually a libra merc. You get the point it plays a big role and most donât talk about it much. Most people mistake someoneâs Mercury sign for their sun sign a lot!
6th house placements: I find most people find talking about 6th house placements to be extremely boring lol which i understand but it actually plays an important role in your chart. The 6th house is associated with issues relating to our sexual, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. I feel like this house is probably the most under talked about and ignored house out of all of the houses. The 6th house is how you deal with day to day life and your motivation to complete tasks. When difficult placements fall in the 6th house, the individuals with those placements must carefully see how they treat themselves. Our ability to tend to matters related to our 6th house can help fuel our self esteem & ensure that we are in alignment with ourselves and values so we wonât be menaces to society lol. This shows how you manage day to day life and how you find beauty in the mundane simple things.
Gemini placements: they are not just chatterboxes, very rational and reasonable individuals who are naturally curious. Sometimes they act cold and detached but thatâs because they like to observe from a 3rd party perspective. That way they can easily read people and question their motives & they are very good at it too being rules by mercury. They usually love puzzles and are great networkers. However surprisingly a lot of Gemini placements arenât talkative and most are pretty chill and understanding. They are incredibly logical and fun & are very open minded. They are open to really anything if you are convincing enough they love trying and learning new things.
Pisces placements: thereâs a lot to uncover with this sign. They are the most sacrificial yet deceitful. Being ruled by Neptune as a mutable sign they have identity crisises often and can take on others personalities & looks. These people are natural actors/ actresses, they have an ability to make you believe they are who YOU want them to be, or atleast they think you want from them. They manipulate people without even realizing and get away with a lot because they are easily adored and almost worshipped by the public. They are the definition of a wolf in sheepâs clothing. I see Pisces placements who are stalked easily as well and attract a lot of obsessive and dark individuals. They usually grow up feeling very misunderstood and yearning for others to know the real them but itâs usually difficult for them to be themselves around those around them due to fear of rejection and a difficulty with expressing their needs.

These individuals are resourceful and tend to accumulate finances or material gains effortlessly, even if they arenât working a high-paying job. Their presence often brings financial blessings to those around them.
Additionally, Pluto in the 2nd house individuals transform othersâ values. For example, if they value love over money, they influence those around them to shift their priorities toward love. Their impact leads people to live differently, teaching them new ways of valuing life and its resources.

When youâre around a Pluto in the 3rd house person, youâll likely learn things you didnât know before. They teach, share knowledge, and help others understand complex ideas. They also have a unique ability to bridge communication gaps, fostering dialogue between people who might not normally connect. Their power lies in their intellect and their ability to spark conversations that inspire growth.
Pluto in the 4th House
Pluto in the 4th house individuals make their greatest impact through family and emotional bonds. They are nurturing, deeply connected, and create relationships that feel like family, even outside of blood ties. Their bonds are never superficialâwhen they connect with someone, itâs meaningful, comforting, and lasting.
These individuals often attract people with difficult or dysfunctional family backgrounds. Their purpose is to provide a sense of home and belonging, teaching others what it means to be truly cared for. They guide and nurture others, showing them what a real parent or family member should be. Pluto in the 4th house individuals create tight-knit connections, offering love and support to those who need it most, helping them heal and grow emotionally.
Pluto in the 5th House
Pluto in the 5th house indicates the greatest impact comes from inspiring others to enjoy life. They can quickly notice if someone is burning out, eating poorly, not exercising, or lacking sleep, often before the person realizes it themselves.
Their influence is deeply healing. They bring balance and relief to others, helping to reduce stress and encourage healthier habits. People around them often find themselves improving physically, emotionally, and mentally. They are natural healers who might thrive in professions related to health care or wellness.

Pluto in the 7th House
Pluto in the 7th house impacts relationships, offering a unique perspective on how relationships function. These individuals have a sharp perception of relational dynamics, quickly spotting flaws, toxicity, or strengths within partnerships.
They can deeply influence couples, either strengthening healthy relationships or exposing and breaking apart toxic ones. Their presence often leads to transformationâcouples may grow stronger and closer or realize their incompatibility and separate. This influence extends to friendships and family bonds, where they can either create unbreakable ties or bring hidden issues to light, causing division.
Pluto in the 7th house individuals also have a natural talent for counseling or mediating relationships, helping others to build healthier, more fulfilling connections.
Pluto in the 8th House
Pluto in the 8th house is deeply connected to intimacy and personal power. These individuals have a magnetic presence that often leaves a lasting impression on others. Their intimate relationships are intense, and they have the ability to deeply affect those they connect with physically and emotionally.
They also influence power dynamics. Their presence can make others question their own sense of personal power, pushing them to grow stronger, more resilient, and more self-aware. People often feel challenged to improve themselvesâwhether financially, emotionally, or intellectuallyâwhen they are around a Pluto in the 8th house individual.
These individuals inspire transformation in others, often serving as catalysts for personal growth and empowerment.
Pluto in the 9th House
Pluto in the 9th house influences others through expansive thinking, philosophy, and new perspectives on life. These individuals push people to think more deeply, challenge conventional beliefs, and explore different ways of living. They often inspire others to question their worldview and adopt more authentic ways of living.
Unlike Pluto in the 3rd house, whose influence is immediate and localized, Pluto in the 9th house impacts people on a broader scale. These individuals thrive when they uproot themselves and move away from their hometown or comfort zone. Their power is most activated when they are in distant places, where they are seen as leaders, intellectuals, or visionaries.
Their influence often emerges as they encourage others to embrace diversity, explore the world, and deepen their understanding of lifeâs complexities.
Pluto in the 10th House
Pluto in the 10th house wields the most influence through career, reputation, and leadership. These individuals are born to take on powerful positions and often excel in business or professional environments. They are natural leaders with a strong ability to maintain control, manage conflicts, and build successful enterprises.

Pluto in the 11th house individuals are often catalysts for social change. Their influence helps others see the bigger picture and work collectively to create meaningful progress in their communities or the world at large.
Pluto in the 12th House
Pluto in the 12th house holds immense spiritual power, influencing others in ways that are often unseen or unconscious. These individuals bring out hidden emotions, repressed thoughts, and unresolved wounds in those around them. Their presence encourages deep self-reflection and healing.
They often help others confront their shadow selves, bringing to light the parts of their psyche theyâve ignored or suppressed. This influence can feel intense, as people around them are compelled to delve into their inner worlds, process their fears, and explore their spirituality.
Pluto in the 12th house individuals inspire profound internal transformation. They help others let go of superficial concerns and connect with their deeper, more spiritual selves. Their influence fosters healing, introspection, and personal growth on a soul level.

Billionaires destroy more than they create
In a land often championed for its economic opportunity and equality, the American Dream promises that anyone who works hard can rise to prosperity. But for many in todayâs middle and lower economic classes, that dream is fading, shadowed by a reality that feels increasingly rigged. At the heart of this issue lies a stark and glaring imbalance: billionaires, a minuscule fraction of the population, wield a staggering concentration of wealth and influence. This is not just an issue of economics but one that touches the foundations of democracy and fairness.
Imagine the economy as a massive machine, built to churn wealth throughout society. In an ideal world, this wealth would cycle effectively, where each part contributes and benefits in turn. But as billionaires amass wealth at unprecedented levels, this machine has come to function more like a funnel, siphoning resources from the broader society and concentrating them at the very top. This dynamic, driven by complex financial structures and tax strategies, isnât merely an accumulation of personal fortunes but a systematic extraction from the economic potential of others. The capital that could have flowed through wages, education, and public infrastructure is often diverted into private bank accounts and shell companies, rarely benefiting the people who drive and build the economy day by day.
As wealth accumulates at the top, so too does political influence. Billionaires, with vast financial resources, can fund political campaigns, lobbyists, and entire networks of think tanks dedicated to shaping policy. Through these channels, they push for tax policies, regulations, and trade agreements that benefit the ultra-wealthy at the expense of middle- and lower-income families. Politicians, indebted to these donors, increasingly look to billionaire interests rather than to constituentsâ needs. This creates a disturbing feedback loop: billionaires influence politics to further policies that reinforce their own wealth and power, leaving the broader populace with dwindling opportunities to influence their own government.
This concentrated power extends far beyond campaign finance and lobbying. With ownership over significant segments of media networks, billionaires control the narratives that millions consume daily. Through these media outlets, they shape public opinion, diverting attention from policies that would challenge wealth accumulation and pushing narratives that frame the ultra-wealthy as essential âjob creatorsâ or âinnovatorsâ rather than acknowledging their role in widening economic divides. Issues that might threaten their economic stranglehold are often buried, while others, that create division and distract, are amplified.
For the middle and lower classes, this confluence of wealth, media, and political power has a real impact. Stagnant wages, diminishing job security, and rising costs of living arenât natural outcomes of a complex economyâtheyâre symptoms of a system shaped to benefit those at the top. Policies that could lift working-class Americans, like raising the minimum wage, universal healthcare, or better labor protections, are often stifled in legislative deadlock, thanks in part to the political influence of the ultra-wealthy who stand to lose from them.
So, as this cycle continues, the gap between billionaires and everyone else widens. The billions accumulated at the top no longer signify mere success but a barrier to mobility for everyone else. The middle and lower classes find themselves carrying the economic burdens, often working harder for less. Meanwhile, billionaires remain insulated, living in a different economic reality, one far removed from the struggles of the average American. This isnât just an economic imbalance but a distortion of democracy itself, as the machinery of power and influence is pulled further from the reach of ordinary citizens and held more tightly by those whose interests rarely align with theirs.
Without addressing this imbalance, the promise of opportunity, the cornerstone of the American Dream, becomes less attainable with each passing year, not just for the lower and middle classes but for the nationâs future as a whole.
Addressing their manipulation
Billionaires and their advocates often employ a familiar set of narratives to justify their wealth and the structures that enable it. These arguments, framed in terms of the free market, capitalism, or fear of socialism, are not only misleading but often serve to distract from the deeper systemic issues at play. Below is a breakdown of these claims and the counterarguments that expose their flaws:
1. âItâs Just the Free Market at Workâ
The myth of the âfree marketâ implies that billionaires achieve their wealth purely through talent, innovation, and competition in a market where everyone has equal opportunity. But in reality, the U.S. economy is far from a genuinely âfreeâ market.
Counterpoints:
⢠Government Subsidies and Tax Breaks: Many billionairesâ businesses rely heavily on taxpayer-funded subsidies, special tax breaks, and other forms of government assistance. Large corporations frequently lobby for policies that grant them tax advantages, including offshore loopholes and capital gains tax breaks. This creates an environment where they arenât competing on equal ground but rather with significant state support, distorting the market in their favor.
⢠Anti-Competitive Practices: Many large corporations, especially in tech and finance, engage in monopolistic behavior, buying out competitors or using aggressive tactics to drive them out of the market. This concentration of power stifles competition, contradicting the notion of a âfreeâ market where anyone can succeed if they work hard.
⢠Inherited Wealth and Privilege: A significant portion of billionaire wealth is inherited rather than self-made. Generational wealth compounds, giving the ultra-wealthy an enormous head start over those without similar family resources. This challenges the idea that wealth accumulation is simply the product of individual merit or a fair market.
2. âThis Is What Capitalism Is Supposed to Look Likeâ
The argument here suggests that capitalism is an inherently competitive system, where the most successful rise to the top, benefiting everyone through innovation and job creation. This narrative hinges on the idea of âtrickle-down economics,â where the wealth of the richest eventually spreads throughout society.
Counterpoints:
⢠Trickle-Down Economics Doesnât Work: Decades of evidence show that wealth rarely âtrickles downâ to the rest of society in any meaningful way. Income inequality has only widened, with wages stagnating for most workers while billionaire wealth has soared. Billionaires tend to reinvest wealth in ways that concentrate their holdings, like in stocks, rather than in ways that benefit the broader economy.
⢠Wealth Extraction, Not Wealth Creation: Many billionaires achieve and maintain their fortunes through rent-seeking behaviorâextracting wealth from existing resources rather than creating new value. Hedge funds, private equity, and real estate empires often profit by cutting costs (like labor) rather than by innovating or producing new goods and services. This dynamic benefits investors but hurts workers and consumers.
⢠Capitalism Can Take Other Forms: The capitalism practiced in the U.S. today, sometimes called âneoliberal capitalism,â focuses on minimal regulation, tax cuts for the wealthy, and privatization. However, other countries demonstrate that capitalism can function with stronger social safety nets, wealth redistribution policies, and tighter regulations on corporate power. Nordic countries, for example, balance capitalism with robust welfare systems, ensuring a more equitable distribution of wealth and services.
3. âWithout Billionaires, There Would Be No Innovation or Job Creationâ
A popular myth is that billionaires are essential âjob creatorsâ and âinnovatorsâ whose wealth ultimately benefits society by funding new businesses and creating employment. This claim positions billionaires as indispensable to economic growth.
Counterpoints:
⢠Public Funding Fuels Innovation: Many of the biggest technological advances, including the internet, GPS, and medical breakthroughs, were developed with public funding rather than billionaire investments. Government research grants and subsidies often lay the groundwork for major innovations that billionaires later profit from. In other words, society bears much of the financial risk, while billionaires reap the rewards.
⢠Small Businesses Create Most Jobs: Small businesses, not billionaires or large corporations, are responsible for most job creation in the United States. Big corporations often eliminate jobs through automation, outsourcing, or consolidation. They may employ a large workforce, but they also tend to exploit workers through low wages, precarious employment, and cost-cutting measures.
⢠Billionaires Accumulate Wealth Through Wealth, Not Innovation: Many billionaires maintain their wealth not by creating jobs or innovating but by using their existing capital to generate more wealth, often through financial instruments that have little to do with actual economic productivity. Stock buybacks, dividends, and passive investments grow their fortunes without necessarily contributing to broader economic prosperity.
4. âAny Alternative Is Socialism or Communismâ
When calls arise for higher taxes on the wealthy, stricter regulations, or broader social programs, the response is often to invoke the fear of âsocialismâ or âcommunism.â This argument seeks to paint any attempt at wealth redistribution or regulation as a slippery slope toward total government control.
Counterpoints:
⢠Social Safety Nets and Regulations Are Not Socialism: Social safety nets, progressive taxation, and regulations do not equate to socialism or communism; theyâre features of a balanced capitalist system that seeks to prevent extreme inequality and protect public welfare. Countries like Germany, Canada, and Denmark combine regulated capitalism with strong social programs, resulting in healthier economies and greater well-being for citizens without abandoning capitalism.
⢠Inequality Threatens Capitalism: Growing inequality and economic instability can undermine the foundations of capitalism. A healthy capitalist economy requires a strong middle class with buying power, which excessive wealth concentration undermines. Reforms like progressive taxation, labor protections, and universal healthcare arenât a rejection of capitalism but rather a means of stabilizing it.
⢠Historical Success of Mixed Economies: Many of the most successful and prosperous countries practice a mixed economy, where capitalism coexists with social policies that promote equality. The U.S. itself has employed a mixed economy model in the past, particularly after the New Deal, which implemented social safety nets, labor protections, and financial regulations that led to a period of unprecedented growth and prosperity for the middle class.
5. âThey Earned It Fair and Squareâ
Finally, the idea persists that billionaires deserve their wealth because they âearnedâ it. This argument suggests that any policy aiming to redistribute wealth is fundamentally unfair, penalizing those who worked hard to succeed.
Counterpoints:
⢠Systemic Advantages and Wealth Hoarding: As previously mentioned, many billionaires begin with advantagesâlike family wealth or elite educational opportunitiesâthat arenât available to most people. Additionally, billionaires often employ complex strategies to avoid taxes, lobby for favorable regulations, and capitalize on government subsidies. These factors mean they havenât earned wealth solely through hard work or merit.
⢠Billionaires Didnât Build Alone: No billionaire operates in isolation; they rely on infrastructure, public education, and the work of thousands or millions of employees. A CEOâs wealth is made possible by a web of collective contributions, yet that wealth is rarely shared equitably. While billionaires might be rewarded for their role, their fortune is far from the result of individual effort alone.
In short, these narratives around billionaires often mask a more uncomfortable truth: todayâs system is structured in ways that favor the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the broader population. Economic reform, rather than a threat to capitalism, is a necessary step to ensure a more just, equitable society where wealth accumulation doesnât depend on privilege, influence, or systemic manipulation.
Making a change
Addressing the economic imbalance and the unchecked power of the ultra-wealthy presents a unique challenge, especially given the intense political polarization in the United States. For the middle and lower classes to push back effectively, they will need to build a coalition that transcends party lines and focuses on shared economic interests rather than divisive rhetoric.
1. Build Awareness Through Shared Issues, Not Ideology
The rhetoric around âfree marketsâ and âsocialismâ often obscures real issues of economic struggle that affect both conservative and progressive working- and middle-class citizens alike. Instead of framing the issue in ideological terms, framing it in terms of tangible, shared grievances can help bridge the divide:
⢠Focus on Economic Inequality: Income stagnation, unaffordable healthcare, and housing insecurity are felt across the political spectrum. By shifting the narrative from âclass warfareâ to âeconomic fairness,â advocates can sidestep partisan language and emphasize the shared experience of economic struggle.
⢠Highlight the Impact of Corporate Power on Local Communities: Framing issues around how large corporations hurt small, local businesses can resonate strongly with both sides of the political spectrum. This approach often taps into conservative values around community and self-reliance, while also aligning with progressive critiques of corporate overreach.
2. Organize Around Labor Rights and Worker Protections
Historically, unions have been instrumental in improving working conditions and advocating for fair wages, and labor movements transcend political divisions. Many Americansâleft, right, and centerâshare concerns about the erosion of workersâ rights, stagnant wages, and the declining influence of the average worker.
⢠Expand Union Participation and Labor Movements: Reinvigorating unions and expanding labor protections could give workers a stronger collective voice. New labor movements that focus on economic rights without overtly partisan language could attract support across the political spectrum, particularly when they champion issues like fair wages, workplace safety, and job security.
⢠Support Worker Cooperatives and Employee-Owned Businesses: Promoting models like worker cooperatives or employee-owned businesses can offer a compelling alternative to the current structure of corporate ownership without resorting to divisive rhetoric. These models prioritize local control and shared economic benefits, appealing to values of self-sufficiency and fairness.
3. Pressure Politicians on Key Economic Policies
A key to bridging the partisan gap is to focus on policies that benefit the broader populace rather than framing them as part of any ideological agenda. The majority of Americans, regardless of political affiliation, support policies like fair taxation, healthcare reform, and increased access to education when framed in terms of fairness and opportunity.
⢠Promote Tax Reform as âFairness,â Not Redistribution: Instead of advocating for âredistribution,â proponents can push for tax policies that ensure everyone pays their fair share. Policies like a wealth tax or higher taxes on capital gains can be framed as holding the ultra-wealthy accountable rather than demonizing them, a stance that resonates with people who value fairness and personal responsibility.
⢠Advocate for Antitrust Legislation: Pushing for stronger antitrust laws to break up monopolies and prevent anti-competitive practices can appeal to both sides. For conservatives, this aligns with the values of market competition; for progressives, it aligns with corporate accountability and consumer protection.
4. Engage in Alternative Media and Independent Journalism
The ultra-wealthy often own or influence major media outlets, which can shape public opinion in ways that protect their interests. For the middle and lower classes to gain a clearer view of economic issues, alternative media sources and independent journalism that arenât beholden to billionaire interests are crucial.
⢠Support Independent News Outlets: A growing number of independent news organizations are dedicated to in-depth economic reporting without catering to corporate interests. Supporting these outlets allows individuals to access a range of perspectives that help reveal the true impact of policies on ordinary people.
⢠Utilize Social Media Responsibly to Build Cross-Party Awareness: Social media, while often a divisive force, can also be used to spread information about economic injustice. When used responsibly to share facts, case studies, and stories of economic hardship, it can cut through the rhetoric and provide people across the political spectrum with a shared understanding of the issues.
5. Prioritize Voting Reform and Campaign Finance Reform
Money in politics is one of the core reasons why economic policies favor the wealthy. Bipartisan support for reducing corporate influence in politics is possible, especially when the focus is on fairness, transparency, and accountability in government.
⢠Promote Campaign Finance Reform as an Anti-Corruption Effort: Campaign finance reform, which seeks to limit the influence of wealthy donors and corporations on elections, can appeal to conservatives and liberals alike who are frustrated with the influence of money in politics. Instead of framing it as an anti-capitalist measure, framing it as an anti-corruption measure can attract broader support.
⢠Support Voting Reforms for a More Representative Democracy: Reforms like ranked-choice voting, ending gerrymandering, and preventing voter suppression can help create a political environment that more accurately represents the will of the people rather than special interests. By creating a more representative democracy, policies that reflect the economic needs of the middle and lower classes have a better chance of being enacted.
6. Create Cross-Partisan Grassroots Coalitions Focused on Economic Issues
Many grassroots organizations are focused on economic justice, but they tend to align themselves with one side of the political spectrum, often losing potential support in the process. Building cross-partisan coalitions that emphasize shared economic challenges rather than ideological differences could foster stronger, more united advocacy for middle- and working-class issues.
⢠Organize Around Issues, Not Parties: Groups like the Poor Peopleâs Campaign, which focuses on poverty and economic justice, have successfully united people across political lines around issues that transcend party loyalty. This approach allows people to focus on their shared struggles, making the movement harder for politicians to ignore.
⢠Build Community-Level Alliances: Many economic issues are felt acutely at the local level. By focusing on community-level initiatives that address healthcare, affordable housing, and education, people can create practical, on-the-ground solutions that donât require alignment with national politics. These local successes can serve as models for broader change.
7. Emphasize Civic Education on Economic Policies
Finally, bridging the gap will require education and awareness. Many people accept billionaire-fueled rhetoric because they lack exposure to alternative perspectives. Civic education efforts that focus on teaching economic principles, tax policy, and the influence of corporate power can empower people to understand the real impacts of current policies on their lives.
⢠Create Accessible Educational Resources: Podcasts, documentaries, workshops, and community discussions can all serve as tools for demystifying economic issues. When people have a clearer understanding of how things like tax policies and wage laws work, they are better equipped to make informed decisions.
⢠Promote Financial Literacy and Empower Individuals: Financial literacy programs that help individuals understand budgeting, credit, and investments empower people to navigate the economy more effectively. While this doesnât directly address systemic issues, it gives individuals a greater understanding of the forces shaping their lives and can be a first step toward broader engagement.
By approaching these issues with a focus on shared struggles, fairness, and practical solutions, the middle and lower classes can work together to build a movement that transcends political divides. This movement can challenge the status quo without becoming mired in divisive ideological battles. The real strength of such an effort lies in its ability to unite ordinary people around a common vision for a fairer, more just economic systemâone that serves all citizens, not just the wealthiest few.

Your energy, charisma, or physical presence can create circumstances where good things simply fall into your lap as you move through the world. This can apply to both personal and professional opportunities, and it's more about the vibe you project than any specific action you take.Since the 1st House deals with your physical presence and the way you move through the world, luck can come to you in bursts, often out of nowhere. With the Part of Fortune here, one key to unlocking your good fortune is to confront and release self-sabotaging patterns or beliefs that may be deeply ingrained in your subconscious. This could be a process of undoing limiting beliefs from your past, or even past-life karmic patterns that might be influencing your current life. Once you confront these hidden blocks, you open the door to greater prosperity. The 12th house is about retreat, but itâs important to remember that you also need connections to the outside world. Spending too much time in isolation can lead to feelings of loneliness or disconnection, which might block the flow of your good fortune. Balancing time alone with meaningful social interactions is key to making the most of this placement.

Sun in the Houses
paid readings | Masterlist
ᥣđŠ Please support me by reposting, liking, following me and commenting your placement. The placement of the sun can tell you alot of what your ideal is what you aspire to and what you unconsciously tend towards. The sun is the divine masuline and also represents your father.
1st house When the Sun is in the 1st House, often referred to as the House of Self, it imbues an individual with a strong sense of identity and a natural desire to stand out and be recognized. These individuals tend to be confident, charismatic, and make a memorable impression, with their personality evident in their style and how they present themselves. They often possess an innate ability for leadership and shine in public or group environments, driven by a need for self-expression and authenticity. Life is often perceived as a series of opportunities to be themselves and shine in every moment, though a potential challenge can be an overemphasis on personal identity or self-centeredness if not balanced with consideration for others.
2nd house With the Sun in the 2nd House, which governs personal worth, income, and possessions, individuals often have a strong focus on wealth accumulation, financial security, and material success . Their self-esteem is intrinsically linked to their ability to create and manage assets, and they are often very creative in generating income and resources. They take pride in their belongings and what they represent, driven by a desire for stability and prosperity . This placement can indicate a generous nature and an authoritative position, with a knack for making money the right way. A connection to nature and the earth can also be a significant source of inspiration and well-being for them.
3rd house The Sun in the 3rd House highlights communication, learning, and immediate environment. Individuals with this placement are natural communicators, excelling in writing, speaking, and expressing ideas with authority. They possess a curious mind, perpetually seeking knowledge and understanding, and thrive in environments that encourage mental stimulation and creative thinking . They are confident in social settings and often emerge as leaders in group discussions. This position can also indicate strong bonds with siblings and a love for short travels and adventures that broaden their perspectives. However, challenges may include a tendency to dominate conversations or ego issues, requiring a balance between assertiveness and empathy.
4th house When the Sun resides in the 4th House, associated with home, family, and emotional roots, an individual's core identity and sense of pride are strongly connected to their domestic life and heritage. They often take on a central, leadership role within their family dynamics, feeling empowered and fulfilled when their home is harmonious and stable. This placement signifies a deep-rooted connection to family lineage and a strong need to create a secure and comfortable home environment. While they are emotionally resilient and find strength in their inner foundation, potential challenges include over-attachment to home and family or a tendency to dominate family dynamics.
5th house The Sun in the 5th House, governing creativity, romance, children, and pleasure, blesses individuals with a heightened sense of self-expression and a passion for life's joys . They are often natural artists, drawn to performing arts, music, writing, or any activity where they can be in the spotlight. This placement gives them a magnetic and charismatic personality, making them popular in social circles and often leading to passionate romantic experiences. They possess strong leadership skills and a special connection with children, taking joy in nurturing and guiding the younger generation. While adventurous, a challenge can be overindulgence or ego clashes due to their need to be recognized.
6th house With the Sun in the 6th House, which rules daily routines, health, and service, individuals are typically hard-working, dedicated, and detail-oriented. They possess a strong sense of responsibility and take pride in their ability to serve others, often thriving in jobs related to health, healing, or service-oriented fields. This placement encourages strength through service, pushing individuals to take care of their health and face challenges head-on . Maintaining a daily routine is vital for their well-being, though work-related stress can sometimes affect their health. Their attention to detail can lead to perfectionism, which, while beneficial, can also result in self-criticism or being overly critical of others.
7th house When the Sun is placed in the 7th House, governing one-on-one relationships, marriage, and partnerships, its radiant energy becomes intertwined with themes of cooperation and connection . Individuals with this placement place a high value on harmonious and successful partnerships, shining brightest in their interactions with others . They are often drawn to strong, supportive relationships and may find their purpose through collaboration. While they excel in public dealings and value fairness, a potential pitfall can be losing themselves in relationships, making it essential to recognize their own essence and highlight their uniqueness within every bond. They must learn to balance their desire to connect with others with the recognition of their own value.
8th house With the Sun in the 8th House, known for themes of transformation, rebirth, and hidden power, an individual's identity is deeply connected to personal growth and uncovering hidden truths. They may experience profound changes throughout life, developing resilience and inner strength. This placement indicates a strong interest in the deeper and often hidden aspects of life, such as the esoteric, the occult, and power dynamics. Individuals with this configuration may excel as researchers, therapists, or financiers, drawn to profound change and exploration. While this house can bring emotional intensity and trust issues, it also teaches patience and resilience, leading to major personal evolution.
9th house The Sun in the 9th House, associated with higher learning, philosophy, travel, and spirituality, inspires individuals to be lifelong learners and seekers of truth . They are often philosophical, optimistic, and driven by a hunger for knowledge and unrestricted movementâmentally, physically, and spiritually . This placement brings a strong inclination toward spiritual or religious practices, as they seek enlightenment through higher learning, meditation, or religious teachings . They are often seen as leaders in their community, promoting justice, fairness, and righteousness, and may find success through the creation of meaning in fields like education, politics, or travel.
10th house When the Sun is in the 10th House, which governs career, public image, and social status, individuals are typically drawn toward leadership roles and have a strong focus on career aspirations . This placement symbolizes their dedication, determination, and a desire to shine in their chosen field, often leading to significant recognition and fame . They are ambitious and work diligently to achieve their goals, seeking positions of respect and authority. Their energy and will are strongest in their professional life, where they aim to make their mark on the world. This position often indicates a natural inclination to lead and influence others in their chosen industry .
11th house The Sun in the 11th House, known as the "House of Gains," governs income, friendships, networking, and long-term aspirations. Individuals with this placement have powerful aspirations and the ability to influence large groups of people . They are often natural leaders within their group of friends or communities, attracting people who are inspired by their vision and ambitions. This position is favorable for financial gains, often achieved through their professional network or collaborations. While they can achieve great success and recognition through their social circles, the Sun's strong presence can sometimes lead to dominance in friendships or ego clashes, requiring a balance of cooperation.
12th house With the Sun in the 12th House, often referred to as the "House of the Unseen," individuals are typically spiritual, introspective, and possess a strong inner world. This placement brings a complex blend of introspection, isolation, and inner growth, as it governs the subconscious mind, dreams, hidden fears, and connection to spiritual realms. They may struggle with self-expression but have deep empathy, often finding solace in solitude and reflection. This is a karmic house, tied to past life energies, and the Sun's presence here illuminates the qualities and energies associated with inner growth and spiritual development.

Itâs often seen that the house person functions as a âbenefactorâ to their partner. Supporting their dreams, providing them with opportunities, sponsoring them financially, or leading them toward material gain. With this synastry aspect, a sense of camaraderie is obtained, generating a dynamic of long lasting friendship & moral support.Â
Venus in the 12th house overlay: Venus in a partner's 12th house tends to generate an unconscious connection between two people. There is an unspoken pull one feels here, especially on behalf of the Venus person. This aspect often tends to create âunrequited loveâ or a dynamic where one person desires the other, but the feelings are left unreciprocated. However, when functioning favorably, one obtains âunconditional loveâ with a partner, willingly sacrificing for them, giving love & affection generously, etc. It often creates misunderstandings and mistrust between two people initially, but overtime strengthens in the partnership. It overall enhances the spiritual connection with a spouse. Â

Ava, 27, seemed unbothered by her partnerâs inability to communicate his emotions. âWe have enough to think about,â she told me as she slid her laptop out of her tote bag, still dressed in her tweed blazer from work. It wasnât serious, anyway.
Sheâd been dating Max for a few months when it struck her â mid-conversation with a friend â that she had no idea what he felt about her or their future.
So she stopped asking.
There was a time, she said, when she wouldâve tried harder.
Sara, 21, recalled sitting on her bed while her boyfriend begged her to hear him out. He wasnât remorseful for cheating, he just no longer wanted to sit with his shame.
âI was done,â she said. And yet, he expected her to comfort him. âI had to help him find the words for his feelings, not his actions,â â long silences, teasing through shame and self-hatred. âHe didnât know what he wanted to say,â she said. âAnd then I made him feel OK about itâ.
These stories reflect a shift among young women in which more and more of them are âquiet-quittingâ these relationships. Women are now 23% less likely to want to date than men, not because they donât care, but because they feel theyâve invested too much emotional labor without support in return.
The Other Side Of The Masculinity Crisis? The Exhausting Emotional Intelligence Gap.
In intimate relationships, young women are taking on a disproportionate load of invisible emotional labor, often supporting men through intense feelings of failure and isolation from friends. Many men described feeling âweird or like a waste of timeâ when opening up to male friends, instead reserving vulnerability for their relationships with women.
While men consider this unburdening to women a ânatural partâ of their relationships, those same women describe it as workâ what researchers at Stanford University call âmankeeping.â
Over the past two years, Iâve interviewed dozens of young men and women about their relationships. Whatâs emerged is a sense that women are absorbing the emotional fallout of a crisis they didnât create. The anxieties surrounding what it means to be a man in 2025 should matter to everyone. Theyâre reshaping not just our politics, but the very fabric of how women and men interact â shaping how we love, how we vote, and whether we can build a future together at all. Telling the other side of the âmasculinity crisisâ is key to solving it.
The crisis is especially acute for younger men â with two-thirds reporting that âno one really knows them.â Christopher Pepper, co-author of Talk To Your Boys, notes that Gen Z is the first generation to rely mostly on their phones to communicate.
âThereâs no responsibility for whatâs on the receiving end [of online communication],â he said, with online spaces often devolving into slurs and death threats âthat wouldnât be acceptable in other situations.â
For the 60% of men who engage with masculinity influencers, friendship itself is evolving: ambition, wealth and popularity are prioritized over trust. In individualist countries like the U.K. and U.S., this shift is more pronounced â perhaps owed to the glamorization of lone-wolf masculinity, in which vulnerability is discouraged.
When âThe Costs Of Caringâ Are Too Much
Meanwhile, young women are rejecting patriarchal expectations that previous generations internalized. Once expected to shoulder emotional labor as a normal part of relationships, they are now more aware of the âcosts of caring,â including suppressing their own needs. Theyâre less inclined to date, with 56% saying âitâs hard to find someone who meets their expectations,â compared to 35% of men.
From âIâm Not Your Therapistâ to âIâm literally Joan Baez,â Gen Z women are resisting the notion of offering up too much to men. While some women told me that men without emotional fluency are unattractive, others hesitate to expect it, fearing theyâll be labelled âcontrollingâ.
Several women I spoke with expressed concern over how dating men affects their economic futures. The role of women as invisible drivers of menâs success isnât new, but with young people struggling to find jobs at unprecedented rates, itâs taken a new form. From job hunting to burnout, âwomen tend to provide increased emotional support to men who do not have it elsewhere.â
