My (cupio) aroace experience is watching everybody pass by. By having friends start pairing up, making me the third wheel. And it’s not like I mind not having a partner, but the loneliness that kind of connection around you carved me up. I want that connection, I’d love to be thought of as someone’s partner, their sole concern, but every time that thought barely glimpses into my reality, what that would realistically be, I can’t feel it.

I have been told be so many people, for so many years: “You’ll find the one.” “Maybe you need to get out more” “You haven’t had a crush?!”

Well maybe I won’t find the one, maybe it’s not that I prefer indoors to the bitter chill, maybe I haven’t had a crush. And what will anyone do about it? Nothing, because it’s just how I feel. I’m not going to be persuaded to hurt myself in a loveless relationship, or pretend to fit in.

I don’t feel that romance, and I’m okay with it, at least in the end.

Quoiromantic, also known as WTFromantic, describes not being romantically categorizable, being unable to tell the difference between differing kinds of attraction, Quoiromantic is from the French word quoi meaning “what”; the feeling of not being able to distinguish romantic from platonic, and also describes not being romantically categorizable, being unable to tell the difference between differing kinds of attraction. While the term "cupio", as a verb, is the Latin word for "I desire”

So basically I came up this flag as a hyper-me-specific way of representing my on experience, which is basically Quioromantic, while still desiring romantic relationships

Cupiofray Pride Flag

Cupiofray: being cupio- in a fray- way (or being fray- in a cupio- way), or experiencing a mix of the two, or being in the midway between both fray and cupio.

For example, desiring certain forms of relationship while not feeling attraction, then they feel attraction but loose it after an emotional or deep connection with a person; desiring a specific form of relationship even when they are not attracted anymore in the attraction associated with the type of relationship.

It includes mesi/grey areas, depending on the perspectives it could be allospec, aspec, pomospec, quoispec, etc. or simply cupiospec.

Not everyone who isn't fully A nor fully allo consider themselves aspec.

Some consider themselves as greyspec, but see it as a distinct, but adjacent umbrella from aspec.

Separspec

An umbrella term for being pan (or other-wise attracted to any/all genders mspec) in a orchidspec and/or cupiospec way. Can be called Separ- (Separsexual, Separomantic, etc.)

Under Separspec there's two sub umbrella terms, Porcian and Cupian. Porcian is the pan in a orchidspec way term, while Cupian is the pan in a cupiospec way term. In simple terms Separspec is the separation of action and attraction when it comes to one's orientation.

Separspec is also inclusive to anyone that describes either their attraction or action as pan, while describing the other as non-pan. Orchidspec & Cupiospec being used here to describe that disconnect in a simple way. (Therefore, inclusive of Fictospecs, Autospecs, etc.) May be exclusive attraction/action or not.

Example: An individual who is romantically exclusively attracted to women and fem folks who IDs as Neptunic, but may ID as Panromantic as well due to still entering romantic relationships and taking romantic actions with anyone of any gender.

This is also inclusive of any anattractional identity (Ace, Aro, Apl, etc.) that experiences ZERO attraction but may still enter relationships of whatever kind of attraction they want to. (General Aspec identities are included in the general definition.)

Example: An aro individual who enters romantic relationships regardless of their lack of attraction. One may ID as both Aro and Panromantic.
