Hello my angels! On Wednesday the 4th of September 2007 I released my first ever upload... and today I present to you an opulent set of high jewellery to mark 17 years of Sentate! And also to pay homage to the creator who first inspired me to start creating, a creator called Salvatore, by re-imagining one of their iconic 2005 necklaces!

This set includes both an opulent Diamond Necklace and matching Earrings, with both pearl and gemstone versions in a 15 swatch palette. I'm not the best at jewellery by any means, but I hand placed each stone and pearl to try and replicate the original as best as I could. It's been on my to do list for years!

Can you believe I've been making cc for 17 years? It kind of took me by suprise to see the number creep up so high, so I decided it was finally time to recreate the Iconic Salvatore Necklace mesh I've had in my folder for years. Sadly the content they made wasn't really shared publicly and their old fash sites only work with with an emulator but I made some gifs to give you all an insight on the absolute vibes they had back in 2005!

My whole fashion journey started out with Salvatore. Finding their Haute Couture collections and whole virtual designer processed introduced a whole new way of playing The Sims to me and I never looked back! It would honestly take me a whole essay to explain how finding their little flash site with auto-playing music influenced the course of my life not only in the world of Sims but also real life. I am eternally grateful for inspiration it gave little bebé me all those years ago.

You can actually see the necklace I recreated in the gif above! So funny how much discovering this one creator has informed my style choices and interests over the years, I forgot how much of an inspiration they were until I rediscovered their site on the wayback machine! Special thanks to DarkestDawn for sending me the necklace mesh back in 2020! Here's to 17 years of making cc and maybe 17 more who knows?!

Izzy’s right, they need new codenames that aren’t Robin themed now 🤔

(I think them all standing in front of an “A” is a metaphorical and literal sign of what their new name could be. I have no clue tho, tots lost on me. “A-new” ? “A Child Endangerment” ???).

“Darkestdawn,” “Sidekicker,” and “BlackDomino” were pretty good and don’t need a change. “DaxAtax” is probably a play on words for Dax-attacks? I think that’s fine. “Dre-B-Robbin” is pretty pun funny for “Dre-be-robbing” but has Robin in it. “Kat-R-ina” is still Robin themed so needs a revamp. “Robina” is very… needs to go yeah. “Shug-R” is a play on words for sugar, but the R rules hers out. R-iko is just Riko but the emphasis on R is a no.

Not sure if everyone’s totally cool with their codenames just having their names actually in their codenames, but if Penny can do it (Drake was stupid tho) then i guess they can too.

Duke has “Lark” now (because of his helmet).

Sparrow took the easy name >:/ but whatever. It’s kinda ironic because it’s a songbird that can’t really hear very well tho.

BlueBird is so simple omfg.

I’m thinking Shug could be “Hummingbird” since it’s the closest easy to remember birdie with a sugar theme, or “Sweetie” or “Honey” or “Nectar” Or just straight up rewrite it to be “Sugar” again. Dax might go for a Batman themed name, and Riko too but it’s a Batgirl themed name.

Is is bad if I think Dax’s mohawk reminds me of a rooster so i want him to be called “Rooster” ? 💀 Whatever “Bat Guano Rama” is, that’s a real wacky codename to have. “Hey Batshit, you on 9th street?” 😂 OMG BATSHIT YES!!! “BatShit” as Dax’s new codename i’m a fucking genius. That or “BatGuano”

I checked for a bird and found a Pheasant, which looks cool and has Robin colours but it sounds like peasant which is insulting…. The “-iko” sounded japanese but idk if it is, but there are words that have -iko in it. I’m honestly unsure but it could be a anime reference idk. It has to be cool. Pheasant sounds like “Feather” which could be cool? Or Kiji which is the japanese word of pheasant. Idk, bit of a thinker this one

As much as I want to stick to a bird theme, others got a non bird related codename so i think i’m good. Dre is perfect as a wolf.

I think he should be “LoneWolf” because it’d be ironic when he has friends but is still called a loner. That or “Werewolf” but he’d be a furry the confusion over actual werewolves would happen. Also his suit doesn’t have wolf features, can be changed tho with a simple redesign 🤔 OH “WereKnight” OOOOOO

Kat-R-ina could be shorten to “Trina” or “KitKat.” We don’t get to see or hear about her, but I’m headcanoning her as one of Shug’s friends, along with Darkestdawn who actually seems to know Shug personally enough to know what she looks like.

Just gonna assume one of those guys is “Darkestdawn,” and the other is Katrina. Shug and them 🌟

I think “Iz” should be fine but idk. Last time she just did Robin with an “-a” suffix for girl, it’s kinda… simplistic… hahah…. We could try “Z” or “Zee” or “Zeey” or “Zzy” but idk…

Btw i really like how “Iz” kinda looks like an R hahah, clever. I just realized right now 😲

LOVE Diana DeBore!!!

She’s so great. I didn’t care much about her one way or the other when first playing the “real” Pet Story, but I’ve had a lot of fun with her in this game. She’s rolled lots of unexpected wants for a Fortune Sim, which is neat--really rounds her out.

To be honest, a lot of castles and palaces have newer additions to them, so screw coherence. Haha. What matters is that it definitely looks great. :)

This actually makes me feel a lot better about the lot! :) The whole time I was building it I was fretting about the architecture and whether it was historically accurate or not, but your comment made me realize that, hey, who ever said that it has to be historically accurate? And come to think of it, the castle having bits and pieces from different time periods makes even more sense than it being  in one architectural style alone... Because if it’s really as old as I headcanon it to be, it’s only logical that it's gotten a number of renovations over the years, right? At any rate, that’s going to be my go-to excuse from now on for every historically inaccurate lot I make. 😂

Now I feel WAY less alone about this! So if your sims collect bugs and you set out that bug box, then sometimes what will spawn are these rainbow colored versions of “vermin” called “innocuous bugs”! They aren’t vermin, though, and if you leave them, they’ll eventually just disappear, and they won’t make your sims sick, either. it’s really curious, to me! Anyway you can read a bit about it in this thread! :3 (also while I’m at it I had no idea a patch broke the bug collection so you couldn’t complete it????)

Death by fright is probably my fav from sims 2. I also pronounce it aLIVE mode, the other way sounds weird to me!

Its so cool, right? I like that it has its own animation with the sims checking their pulse. After old age, this tends to be the most common type of death in my game, haha. Burning never happens with fire alarms, drowning never happens unless you set it up on purpose, and my sims get electrocuted constantly but never seem to die from it.

Neat! I like the holes in the floor and the hovering table. The LiveJournal was possibly Penny-Sims? Selenaq linked it recently with a decorated tree.

That’s the one! I spent hours looking through her stuff, it was so inspiring :D (and thank you. I wasn’t sure about the holes in the floor since they don’t really look natural, but I like em, too.)

You don’t have to tell me twice! I adore pirate history and think it’s super relevant, which may be why my sims ended up talking about it in the first place. Zoe seems like a more modern-history kinda gal to me.

Thanks! I was really proud of it and ended up making it into a little poster. I considered getting rid of the stink before taking the snap, but I felt it added extra authenticity, haha!

True!! They’re not really “enemies” as such but the bands have a certain university-based rivalry going on. It’s pretty playful though, they’re all on good terms really.

You know, I started making over all the houses with the goal of keeping them as close to the original as possible--especially because the download on MTS doesn’t have the Life Stories custom content. But I looked at the original house, and apparently I made more changes to this lot than I’d thought! Though in my defence, I think it fits in better with the neighbourhood theme now. :P 

All the Bitville lots have character, I think. Some of them are not as great as others, but most look really cool! You can check out angles and such on the MTS page comments, and compare with the LS content at the wiki. There are other Bitville downloads out there with the CC, but this one had the benefit of coming as a subhood, which sold me. :)

I've also played her for a while and she's super fun to play!

I have her throw a house party or go out on an outing every day. It’s so much fun. In an uberhood of way too many Sims, she’s one of the few I’m allowing to stay single (for now) because I’ve never been bored at her house.

It's a nickname for Michael, one of the top 10 (and often, top three) names in America for decades, so I don't think it's excessive. Gabriel and its variations, however...

I agree Michael is a popular name--I’ve known many in my lifetime. However, I’ve only ever heard them go by Mike or Mikey, never Mickey. I think Mickey has moved away from nickname territory, personally--similar to Hank being more commonly its own name rather than a nickname for Henry. 

I can only think of Gabe O’Mackey and Gabriel Green for Gabriel-esque names. Who else are you thinking of?

House of Fallen Trees Renovation!

So, I’m coming up on 700 followers here on tumblr and I recently hit 3000 subscribers over on my Youtube channel, I thought I’d put out a Halloween gift for y’all, something for unofficial Simblreen if you will haha. 

There’s a video over on my channel that you can watch HERE! I go into the history of the cannon for the Tricous in my game. I also made a cool little intro and outro machinima for the video.  I’ve had this house renovated for a few months as it was one of the first houses I finished in my Uberhood but I thought it would be really fitting to get it out in video around Halloween as it has a bit of a spooky vibe that I love.  I used very little CC for this house and I removed almost all of it when I uploaded it. The CC that I did use and is seen in the video is listed below that you can download for yourself if you would like!
