Hi! I don’t mean this to offend or to start discourse. I’m just curious. Why do you use the aroace alastor tag on your shipping posts?

Oh! Good question honestly-

I headcanon him as demiromanic asexual, which is well, a part of that spectrum-

It does seem a little strange that I use the tags, but I personally think it should still apply if that makes sense. I ship raidoapple more queer-platonically (which seems pretty common among the fandom from what I've seen) Like, nothing intimate and only little romance- like a forehead kiss at most-

Regardless- hopefully that explains why I use the aroace Alastor tags when it comes to this kind of stuff :p

Now, I know I'm demisexual and demiromanic and both of those fall on the ace and aro spectrum, making both of those at the same time; fall on the aroace spectrum, making me on the aroace spectrum.

But, is it just me, or is it easier to say you're aroace than to explain what both of those are since more people seem to know what aroace is more than what the above is? Am I weird for feeling like that? Is that bad? Like, genuinely. Cause that's how I feel, ya know?

My TMNT (2012)/ROTTMNT (2018) head-canons

Starting off with something canon: Donnie is autistic!

I also head-canon Mikey (Mikey has a tendency to go on long excited rambles and also happy stims) and Leo (he hyper fixates on a specific show in 2012 and knows it well enough to quote it word for word) as autistic

I saw someone on here point out that between Donnie being canonly autistic and being a soft shell turtle he most likely has sensory issues and I completely agree!

I also think Mikey has ADHD

Partially relating to that, I think Mikey age regresses. Not due to trauma or having to grow up too fast or anything. Just for fun :)

Donnie is Ace/Demiromanic I think ^^ (He/It)

Donnie absolutely listens to Lemon Demon

But he also listens to classical and instrumental music while working on his tech

And Mikey definitely listens to vocaloid music and Cave Town

Leo also listens to Lemon Demon. He'll never admit it because he pokes fun at Donnie for it.

Also, all of these boys have every song from Into The Spiderverse memorized

He'll spend hours just painting fantasy lands or scenery from atop a building

He's not great at it but it's relaxing and he always like how much progress he's made (having fun is all that really matters anyway!)

He has his snappy one liners he says all the time with the boys but he also practices full joke sets with Splinter, April, and his brothers when they listen.

One year for Christmas he told Splinter the only thing he wanted for the holidays was the newest Just Dance

Besides his tech and dancing Donnie also watches TV with Mikey

Whether it's something he genuinely likes or just something Mikey didn't want to watch alone he'll sit with him when he watches TV.

In-between working out and looking out for his little brothers he tends to help Mikey out a lot.

If Mikey (or one of his other brothers) has had an exceptionally tough day he'll gather all the pillows, blankets, and anything else he could use to make the biggest pillow fort. Whoever he's trying to cheer up will get to reign over the 'pillow kingdom'

He also really likes watching rom-coms and (similar to Donnie) will always be down to watch something with Mikey if he asks

Also, not so much a hobby but- he takes over as a caretaker type figure whenever Mikey age regresses

For the most part he tries to stay out of the way but he helps Mikey if he needs something or plays with him if he wants

Do they believe in dragons? While Sophia knows they don’t exist, she still holds out a little hope that they do – mainly because she remembers all the stories her grandmére told them about dragons, and the way it was the only time she and her brothers weren’t getting into some kind of trouble.

What is a pet peeve of theirs? One pet peeve of hers is people who underestimate others, and then proceed to undermine them because of it. She’s conned more than one person because she saw them doing exactly that. 

What was the last thing they cried about? Sophia doesn’t cry that much, but it was probably when she first got her powers. It was a couple of years after the major blow to the family, and then she was so confused with what had happened, so frustrated with the fact that she couldn’t control it. Yeah, she cried a fair bit that day.

What is their sexuality? She’s demiromanic. She’s had a couple of one night stands and things over the years, but it takes a lot for her to actually fall in love with someone.

Do they have a best friend? If so, who, and what makes them their best friend? When she was growing up, it was Jack. She’d known him for a lot of her childhood, and he was brought up like an actual member of the family; the two of them were similar in age, and they tended to get into trouble together. Their little trio of best friends was completed when Mitch joined the gang. Mitch wasn’t like the rest of them, he hadn’t joined the gang because he wanted to or it felt like a familial obligation, he joined because the alternative was worse. Even following Jack’s death, Sophia - and Mitch - would still call him one of their best friends. 

Have they ever been in a romantic relationship? Sophia’s never really had time for proper romantic relationships; the family never stay in the same place for too long, so she would always be thinking about how they would have to end. Not that she didn’t try on her sabbatical, but her thoughts were too all over the place with everything that had happened to Jack. 

What does their relationship with their family look like? Are they close? Distant? Ect. Sophia would say she has a good relationship with her family. They work together, which sometimes means they get more frustrated with each other as they’re constantly around each other, but they all know that they would do whatever it takes to help each other. Hence the actions of her uncle were such a blow.

Despite their differences, she is closest to her brothers – she currently shares a flat with her younger brother Robbo. There’s not many lines that the three of them wouldn’t cross for each other; not that they always admit to that, though.

Do they have a pet? She doesn’t, but she’d probably quite like a cat. Something she can snuggle with when they both feel like it, but that’s otherwise pretty low maintenance.
