“Dad, look at me! Dad, look, look Dad. Are you watching?”

Wade grumbled under his breath as his tail startled to flick back and forth on the floor. He was going over his finances, trying to make sure he had enough money to pay the electric and water bill, along with making sure he could afford to go grocery shopping to feed everyone this week.

In short, he was busy.

“DAD,” Eclipse said again.

Tearing his eyes away from his paper, Wade glanced up. “What?”

The smaller darkling stared back at him, tail flicking with excitement. “I wanted you to-”

“I’m busy,” Wade told him sharply. Making sure the bills were paid on time was important.

Eclipse didn’t have visible ears to pin back but his entire demeanor changed, as his tail sunk down to the carpet and his shoulders dropped. “Oh...” He backed away. “Sorry for bothering you, father..” Those last words were nearly spit out.

Suddenly, Wade felt awful. In the last few months since his transformation, the two of them had had a rocky time. Adjusting to him being turned into a Black Arms Dark, adjusting to having Eclipse living with them, Eclipse trying to figure out how to carve out a new life here on this planet, especially when not all humans in town were okay with him.

But one of the biggest hang-ups was struggling with the idea that a male parent was not cruel, didn’t want to hurt or belittle him and that he was safe here.

An idea that Wade realized he might of been going against in the moment because he was frustrated over his financial situation.

Glancing down at his papers, Wade knew this was important and needed to get done. But waiting five minutes before getting back to it wasn’t going to make a difference.

“Wait,” Wade called, right as Eclipse was about to slink down the hallway toward the garage. “What were you going to show me?”

The small darkling gave him a wary look. “Nothing important.”

“No,” Wade insisted. “I want to see it. Please.”

For a moment, it didn’t look like Eclipse was going to do it, would only disappear in a huff. But he turned around slowly and returned. “Really?”

“Yeah,” Wade told him, folding both hands and leaning against the back of the couch. “Go ahead.”

Who is Alketius?

Alketius is an original character that I created for my 3Below Au. While most stuff from this au gets changed every now and then, the general story for this one is:

Alketius once was a royal akiridion named Grettel Akram. He is Hans’ twin older brother and was supposed to be the next leader of his house. At some point in his life he was cursed by an eldritch blade (aka a space unicorn) and consequently morphed into a demonic-like entity. He spends most of his time hoarding knowledge and has adopted Hans’ second daughter, Anemone (because of reasons).

Trigons Backup Plan

So! Trigon knew from the moment his Daughter was taken in by the Monks of Azarath that it would be difficult to turn her to his will. He wasn't stupid, he knew just how hard it would be to make his daughter turn on everything she has ever known in her (very short) life.

He can't really blame her, even he believed that indiscriminate mass murder was wrong until his mid-200's, he just needs to wait for her to grow out of it.

But until then he still needs a way into the DC Universe. And if his daughter wouldn't help, then he could always just make a 2nd one.

So, he searches and eventually finds a Couple of Scientists who seem to be good targets. They are researching Magic and Ghosts, so he makes a Demonic Pact with them. He will give them the secrets needed to complete their Research, and in exchange all he asks is that they help him bare a child.

They agree, and Danny Fenton is born.

Danny was supposed to become a Hellmouth when he turned 16, unlocking his Demonic Powers and opening the way for Trigon to enter the DC Universe so he could conquer it.

Instead he managed to get himself killed at 14. Then he managed to come back to life as a Halfa, he got himself adopted by Clockwork, and he usurped the Throne of the Infinite Realms in the span of 1 year, therefore putting himself on the same level as his Father on the cosmic scale.

So there goes his Backup Plan.

Dammit.

Meanwhile Raven is panicking. She had been messing around with her Friends when they asked about the Spells she could do, and she off-handedly mentioned that she could cast Family Tracking Spells.

One thing led to another, and they all wanted to know if they had secret family. Then they asked if she wanted to try as well, and for some reason she agreed.

And long story short, she has a little brother somehow. A little brother who is only a few weeks away from turning 16, who doesn't know the Azarathian Spells she learned to prevent his own transformation into a Hellmouth.
