You know how people say that we already have pixal Nya Jay and sora being interested in mechs and technology or smth? That it’s like so many of them have the same hobbie or smth?
I kinda feel like Jay could be excluded from it. I KNOW I KNOW he was introduced as an inventor or smth, but ngl I feel like barley saw him construct or invent stuff through out the series? At least def not as much as Nya pixal or sora. Like Nya and pixal are the samurai x girlies and Nya was even a mechanic before and all that- they were doing much more. And then there’s sora who, yeah you get my point.
This isn’t hate to Jay, im just saying that hes really at least not at the same level as the others or THAT characterized as an inventor or tech guy. Sure he knows some stuff and is kind of interested, I do think naya and him bond over that. But he’s not really part of the group that’s always creating mechs and stuff.
Edit : ok I wanna mek sure ppl understand 😭 I understand that aspect of his character is kind of there, but I myself just feel like the writers didn’t show enough of that side of him which makes me less sure about how we also call him an inventor or tech and all. It’s a cool part of his character and I don’t think they should take that away, I just think they already DID take it away, making it kinda hard to group him with the other girls who have been shown to be much more prominent with that, uk?

If Erik really wanted me to think Vincent was interesting and had a leg to stand on about William not being upfront about his plans and deciding who gets to live or die he would make Vincent hallucinate Adam as a manifestation of his failings at not being transparent with lovely from the start ultimately causing them to be kidnapped and also as a reminder that he has blood on his hands because he chose to take matters into his own hands rather than go to William or the department when he felt a line had been crossed

I don't think I will ever stop thinking about the way that Wade was precisely the kind of person Logan needed in the moment they met.
Logan was still traumatized, the man who had killed everyone who had loved him and saved him and inadvertently doomed all mutants in his universe. He doesn't just take the title Worst Wolverine, he's the Worst Mutant, the Worst fucking Friend, the Worst Everything Under The Goddamn Sun, because he had gone ahead and destroyed all the good shit in his life because he couldn't get his shit together.
Enter: Wade Wilson. An inconvenience, a pest, a fucking liar. Yet, as his claws slice right through flesh, Wade ... survived. More than just that, he gave back just as much as he got it. This guy met the brunt of Logan's violence, and he laughed in the face of it. Made a game, a chase, out of the whole thing like it's just one big messy joke for him.
It was, probably, but that wasn't the point. The point was that this guy, this fucking guy, had the audacity to barrel into Logan's life and not only that, he had the audacity to survive being part of Logan's life. Fuck, he didn't just survive, he lived through it — full of heart and full of so much fucking life and insistence and persistence.
So, yeah. Wade's a piece of shit, but he was the only person Logan was willing to risk because the idiot literally could not fucking die. Not like the others, be it the ones he did or didn't kill. Wade was an outlier — someone who literally made Logan move universes just because the idiot didn't want his friends to die.
And Logan didn't give two fucks about Wade's friends, but he was already here, and they saved the world, and they had fucked each other over straight to hell and back and made it out alive and some kind of friends, so when Wade called, where the fuck else would Logan go?
Of course, he would go back to Wade. Of course, he would go back to the one person who could handle it — handle him. Of course, he would go back to the only guy in the entire fucking multiverse who had the guts to put up with his shit and, not only that, made Logan hurt just as much as he made Wade hurt and be insane enough to enjoy it.
Where the fuck else would he go? Wade called for him, and Logan chose home — it was a no brainer.

While we're on the topic of De-aging AU's I wanna talk about Jason and Damian if Jason was 14 again real quick.
Do you guys think that Damian looks at this version of Jason, so different from the version he knows, nothing like the person he was told Jason was, and feels uncomfortably seen?
Damian was always told that Jason died because he was reckless, because he disobeyed orders, he was fired as Robin and he got himself killed. A cautionary tale, not a threat to his position. He dismisses Jason because Bruce does, because Dick does, because sometimes even Babs and Alfred do.
That's not the kid that he's looking at now. This Jason is happy, and smart, and full of love that has not yet soured into grief. He hangs on Bruce's every word, trains until his hands bleed and his body gives out to perfect the moves Bruce teaches him. He looks at Bruce with stars in his eyes and he calls him dad.
And Damian can't help but think, that this is the perfect Robin. The perfect son. And if Jason - sweet, loving, strong, Jason - can be fired, can die and have his room locked away and his pictures torn down, can have his last memory as Robin be as A Good Soldier, how could the rest of them ever compete? What could Damian do to stand a chance?
Jason will never grow out of the shadow of Robin, like the rest of them did. As long as Bruce, and Dick, and Babs, and Alfred look at him and see a dead kid who came back wrong, he will never get to be anything else. He will not get to be looked at through who he is now without the shadow of a dead boy looming over him.
And the worst part? Jason is exactly the same person he was back then. Bitter, sure, angry, justifiably, but he is still the boy with too much love in his heart and righteous fury festering in his gut. He is exactly the same boy who threw himself in front of an explosion to save his mother.
(The lines between the mother that betrayed him and the father that disgraced him are so very blurred. Fire or blade or crowbars or fists it does not matter. It ends the same way it always does because Jason Todd always dies, in every universe, in every timeline, Jason dies and crawls out only to be killed again and again and again.)

makes me a little sad when star trek ignores IDIC. like. vulcans are logical. that is true. But 'logical', for vulcans, does not amount to 'without compassion,' and it definitely doesn't amount to 'racial superiority.' Belief in 'infinite diversity in infinite combinations' should NOT result in the weird racist/speciest stuff we're getting in some of the newer treks. It does make sense that some vulcans are discriminatory. They're still flawed. But that should not be common or expected, like it seems to be in SNW. If it is, then it's a race of hypocrites, which. doesn't seem very true to Star Trek's message.
I think TOS Spock does a pretty good job of embodying this. Not always, it was the 60s, after all, but mostly. He was often trying to find non-violent routes, and get by without killing - even if they were in danger or had already been attacked. (See: the mugato, and the horta (until Kirk was the one in danger, lmao. t'hy'la > IDIC), the Gorn ship). Kirk, in his eulogy, calls him the most human soul he's ever known, and I've always read that as Kirk calling out Spock's overwhelming compassion.
It's just so much more interesting when Vulcans get to be radically compassionate. I want them to believe that everything and everyone has value. I want them to respect all ways of being. I want them to find ways for even very non-humanoid aliens to exist unfettered in society. I want them to see hybrids and think that it's amazing. Also, like, disability rep. I want Vulcans to have The Most Accessible Planet and available resources because they want everyone to feel accepted and valued. It makes for better characters and more interesting stories.
