Even after my mass purge where I unsubscribed from almost every mailing list in my inbox, I still can't bring myself to unsubscribe from Meo because all their emails are exactly like this. In fact, I'd even argue that this one is pretty tame compared to their usual stuff, and I love it.

I really hate whicever doctor put GAD back in my file after it took me a year to have it removed because I do not have generalized anxiety disorder. I have very specific anxiety based on traumatic medical events that almost killed me.

It’s the PTSD, babes.

sometimes i feel really awkward commenting on fics. like maybe this person wrote it for their friends or everyone else in the comments knows them and i'm just Some Guy.

and then i remember i commented on a text fic once and posted a tiktok about it, and now that author is one of my closest friends and knows everything about me. or the time i wrote massive long comments on every chapter of a work because it was by a friend of a friend and actually it turned into both me waiting for the next chapter, and them waiting for my comment. or that time i commented on a wip that was last updated years ago and said i loved it and they updated a week later with the AN saying they didn't think anyone still read it. or that one time i commented on a fic and one of my favourite authors replied to my comment and i got really excited. or that time me and some random ao3 user that i never spoke to again went back and forth in the comments because we both really enjoyed this one section of a fic.

or when i posted the first chapter of my first fic and got really excited when someone outside of "my circle" commented because what do you mean you read my silly words and decided to comment? what do you mean you don't even know me and you wanted me to know how you felt about it?

and like,,, we're all just people wanting to share excitement and actually yes i will comment on this fic from 2012 when your last ever ao3 was update was years ago because isn't it so cute that you put love into that story ages ago, and i'm feeling it now? that's quite cute i reckon.

Around late 2000’s when pen tablets weren’t a widespread thing, this is how a lot of people did digital without it! I learned this from art webboards where people translated tutorials from Japanese artists lol.

I know pen tablets are a lot more affordable these days, but I thought I’d share this if anyone really can’t afford a one right now, but still wanna get into it.

Certain fanfic author's update and it's like my life is complete. You are god nothing matters my will to live have been refilled!!!

Sometimes I wait a few days to read because I know whatever it is will be life changing and I need my full attention for it. I try not to super fan vomit all over everything but sometimes I just can't. I secretly well not so secretly am just in love with their writing. yes please anything I will take it.

Like also I just respect them so much like you need to take 2 years off no problem I will be there waiting. Your apologizing for being late with an update oh no never why do you feel the need to do that. They writing the most heart wretching angst ever that's fine. They want to switch it up I will be there.

im gonna start posting fanfic recs btw whenever i find good ones. both here and my (awfully barren) 18+ account. because there are so many good fics out there with so few hits and fewer kudos and sometimes no comments period and it SUCKS because i REALLY LIKE THEM A LOT.. and i hope that by linking them here and yelling at everyone to COMMENT DAMMIT they might actually do it

seriously though any comment means a lot. most people who read a fic don’t even give a kudos. even if the fic wasn’t top tier, if you didn’t dislike it, hand over some kudos!! and if you liked it, comment!!!! even if the comment is one singular heart emoji it will be appreciated. if the comment just says “great fic!” the author will be happy. your comment doesn’t have to be this long winded gushing or analysis.

so many authors quit writing or lose motivation because the comments are few and far in between or just sometimes nonexistent. trust me when i say authors don’t care about how long or cool or smart sounding your comment is i promise!!!

i hope that mmmaybe recommending fics and telling people to comment might help fics i really like get more support maybe. and i, points at you reading this, hope that you will listen!!!at least a little….at least sum kudos….
