Every time someone says "at least the last Jedi did something different!!" I think about the fact that most people refuse to, or don't get the opportunity to consume older media.

All of Last Jedi is lifted from the Battle Star Galactica the first movie. Dead ass every story beat. The irony of saying "at least they tried something different" when the something different was malicious and lack luster at best, that ends up being lifted from Empire Strikes back, and the original Battle Star.

In case you've never seen Battle Star the movie, it's basically, home base gets attacked (this was a home planet) a show moving chase scene that has to do with fuel, and then they end up at casino planet where they get captured...... you get the idea.

I'm begging y'all to watch older stuff and not be so dazzled by people that whole sale lift other peoples work. There is a vested interest in Hollywood right now to make older media harder and harder to watch and enjoy. For this very reason. So you look at their derivative shit and think, "oh! That's new!"

Disney Star Wars paints itself as battling against racist and misogynistic fans. When most of the actual criticisms for it where that they where lackluster retreads of the OT. But the truly funny bit is that the Disney Star Wars are racist and misogynistic on so many levels. And it's due in no small part that they carter to China who doesn't like black folks. I'm glad John Boyega spoke out against his treatment by Rayn Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy. But that's a whole different rant.

Anyways watch and keep older media. Don't let these clowns fool you that they're breaking new ground.

Cale be like: "Let's just buy the Magic Tower" – everyone else: *shocked Pikachu face*

I don't think enough people appreciate what utterly crazy, audacious, outside-the-box thinking Cale displayed back when he decided on that move.

People overlook it, because Cale does a lot of other crazy, audacious things, both before and after the Magic Tower. But in my opinion, this one was one the smartest and craziest.

From a reader's POV, it might not seem that crazy. Cale naturally presents the ruined Magic Tower as a perfect oppurtunity from TBOAH: it's described to contain a ton of treasures, some of which were found by Toonka and the Anti-Magic Faction, and some of which were lost. It only makes sense that he'd want to loot it and take the treasures.

However, that's not all what Cale did, no no no. Cale didn't just break into the Magic Tower and loot stuff. He actually, legally, bought the whole place, including the land it was standing on. And it was a genius move which changed the course of the entire war in the future.

Let's break it all down, shall we?

First of all, he made a deal with Alberu. Cale used the Crown Prince's money to buy the Magic Tower, and he did it nearly without a warning, which might have pissed him off... However, Cale wanted to make the Roan Kingdom stronger, so he gave Alberu the device belonging to the Liege of the Magic Faction, which would allow him to contact all the magical refugees from the Whipper Kingdom. Basically, Cale paid Alberu back in full – because the Roan Kingdom desperately needed magic users to strengthen their military.

Secondly, Cale created an alliance with Toonka, and thus the entire Whipper Kingdom. This alliance let Cale have influence when they later went to the war against the Empire. Without Toonka being on board, Cale wouldn't have been able to manipulate the battles against Adin the way he did. Against all odds, Toonka actually became one of this most useful allies later on.

Thirdly, by involving himself with the Whipper Kingdom, Cale actually saved it in the long run. Through Cale, Whipper was able to enter the alliance with the other countries who stood against the Empire and Arm. For example, the Jungle helped provide food to the Whipper Kindom – which in TBOAH, they had to steal from the Jungle in order to survive, leading to a conflict between the two. Instead of enemies, Toonka and Litana became allies.

Next, thanks to Cale being the one who proposed bringing back the Whipper Kingdom mages for reinforcements as mercenaries, during the war against the Empire, Cale helped out with lessening the hatred against magic among the citizens. Basically, by creating this debt of gratitude, the Whipper Kingdom won't be discriminating as badly against mages in the future. That's a huge deal.

Also, by becoming the owner of the Magic Tower, Cale had power over the documents containing the studies concerning magic resistance. The Whipper Kingdom wouldn't have used the information benevolently on their own, that's for sure; there was still too much hatred towards magic at the time. By limiting their access to the information, Cale actually helped them as well.

And finally, by giving the Anti-Magic Faction money from purchasing the Magic Tower, Cale literally bought time. He actually delayed the main conflict on the continent – because, as I mentioned already, the Whipper Kingdom was going to face financial problems due to food shortage, which would have resulted in them going after the Jungle (and Elisneh would have fanned the flames by controling Litana's people with illusions, too). He gave the Roan Kingdom more time to prepare for the war, and Toonka went after the Empire instead, gathering their attention and pulling it away from Cale's country. What feels natural progression for the readers was actually a huge divergence from what happened in TBOAH.

It might have seemed like a simple move at the time in the novel, based entirely on Cale's scammer's way of thinking and greed for money. But it was so much more than that. It was a very calculated, extremely bold move, which Cale came up entirely on his own.

...You think it was obvious to anyone in that world that you could simply buy a building such as the Magic Tower? That it was even an option? Not a chance!!!

It was essentially the fortress belonging to the true rulers of Whipper Kingdom. It was like a royal castle. Who in their right mind comes up with buying the castle of the rulers of a foreign country, right after a major revolution?? Such places are normally never for sale! The only reason it worked in the first place was because Toonka was so crazy he couldn't care less about it! It would have never worked if the Anti-Magic faction hated the magic users any less than they did!!

What Cale did was utterly ingenious. He doesn't get enough credit for such a ballsy move.

shanks, your lover, had always been a tease. and to be honest, you weren't a fan of it at all, so you had thought of a way to get back from his teasing... and it's dodging his kisses. not the brightest idea, but you know that shanks won't love it.

“love you bae!” shanks exclaims, a big smile on his face as he embraced your figure that is sat on his lap, his lips pursed, leaning forward to you for a kiss when—...you dodged it, leaving him shocked for a moment.

“eh? wait, lemme try that again—” attempting to give you a kiss that you once again dodged, shanks' jaw falls to the floor, his arm tightening on you as he whined. “c'mon baby, don't be so upset now and let me kiss you, please? now don't dodge my kiss...”

will go whine and whine like a child until you finally let him get what he wants—which is to kiss you.

his brows will be quirked up and down when you dodged his kiss, letting a few moments pass, waiting for you to kiss him.

but you didn't. so a ‘hah!?’ expression was on his face after.

this clown is quite childish too, so like shanks, he'll be frowning like a child.

“flashy idiot! how dare you not let me kiss you, moreover, not kiss me!!?” buggy grumbles, his floating body parts going crazy as he did out of anger and annoyance—showing that he really is unhappy of your prank.

“pah! you're annoying me, but i love you, so i'll be back in a flashy minute, and you better not dodge my kiss by that!!” flying away from you as his foot stomped loudly, the fuming clown had his cheeks puffed, sitting on the corner as an aura shrouded him, muttering small curses under his breath while he waited for a minute pass..

and now, returning to you as he had said, buggy once again tries to give you a kiss... which you dodged, again, chuckling by your lover's angered, yet funny face. “I SAID DON'T DODGE MY KISS, DAMN IT!!!!”

“cora, no—i-i love you, i was just playing a small prank—” “i love you too, so please don't dodge my kiss again! my heart broke, you know!?”

immediately engulfs you into a hug and then kisses your forehead, before moving to your lips that he paid special attention to.

🍒Ace reaction was literally the shocked pikachu face when he found out that you were a singer. This whole time he has been friends with you since you first arrived to this world, and he find out NOW THAT YOU WERE A FAMOUS SINGER?!??

🍒He was a little bratty with you that you didn't tell him at first, but he got calm down after a while. You thought he was annoying at first, but he turns it up a notch to a whole other level with you as he's going to be popping up all the time whenever you are recording a song. He will literally be in the corner of the room, making silly faces at you to make you laugh or doing random card tricks to distract you.

🍒Despite that, he will be a bit more supportive and make sure you are good after a session or event since he can imagine being a very popular singer will come with problems and stressed. Expect to find a lot of notes with silly/sweet writings on them, along with some cherry flavored candies to help soothe your vocal cords.

🍒Your voice constantly plagues his mind now wherever he goes. He spends more of his time listening to your songs in class and during basketball practice then actually paying attention (but lets be honest, Ace isn't paying attention to ANYTHING in class).

🍒His favorite song of yours is a cover that you did called "Overdose" , he enjoys the beat of the song. He gets that the song is about a toxic/additive behaviors of a relationship, but that's not gonna stop him from enjoying the song.

♠️It was actually accidental when Deuce discovered your talent. You were in your dorm room, hitting a high note as you were recording one of your songs until you heard the door open and saw Deuce standing there, like a dear in headlights. The both of you just stared at each other, until Deuce snapped out of it and ran out of your room yelling "SORRY".

♠️He did come back after a while and kept apologizing for disturbing you, but you said it was fine. He shyly said your singing was beautiful and you smiled and thanked him. You both chatted a bit more and he then discovered that not only did you sing very well, but that you were a very famous singer.

♠️Deuce already thought you were amazing to begin with, and now that he just discovered your singing talent, he basically idolized you. He couldn't get over how different you were when you sang, it almost reminded him in a way as he had two sides to himself (his honor student side and his delinquent side).

♠️This boy was basically a cute bodyguard for you, he would always be there to make sure you were doing well and making you some dishes that his mom always made for him, but he would also be very protective of you if a big fan ran up to you and started talking to you.

♠️His favorite song of yours is "Show", He loves seeing confidence that you display when you sing this song. Not only that but he loves the main message of the song is just being yourself and stepping into the spotlight

🐺Jack realized right away there was more to you that meets the eye, especially after Leona's overblot. He observed how kind and naive you were, but very strong-willed, and he respected that. Jack discovered your singing during one of his morning runs, as his ears twitched upon hearing the sound of someone singing.

🐺He scouted for where the sound was coming from, and he saw you leaning against one of the trees, with a pad + pen out, humming to yourself. Shocked was the first emotion that Jack felt when he discovered that sound was coming from you, as he had no idea that you could sing, and so beautifully at that.

🐺You heard the sound of swishing next to you as you looked up and saw that Jack was a few feet away from you with a surprised look, and his tail wagging like crazy. Smiling, you greeted him and ask if he was okay cause his tail was moving quite rapidly. Jack jumped and immediately, grabbed his tail to stop it from moving, saying it was nothing, but also looking away from you, saying that you sang really well, with a flushed face.

🐺After telling him that you were a very popular singer, Jack became more interested in your talent. He usually wasn't very interested in things other then sports or working out, but you were beginning to change his mind. Your music videos were very well animated and your voice range was insane.

🐺He would always check up on you whenever he saw you, making sure you were healthy and not straining your voice too much. He may seem like a tough guy, but his tail would always betray him whenever he saw you. His favorite song of yours " Ashura-chan", he liked how powerful your voice was in the song and how the song was about breaking free.

🍎Epel could only described your singing with one word, BADASS! He was not expecting you to have such an amazing voice, and not only could you sing really well, but you could hit many different genres with your voice.

🍎Epel thought you were just a cute and delicate gal, like many people thought he was, but when he discovered your singing, you proved him dead wrong. He saw how wild and full of life you were when you singed, which he kinda envied since he couldn't be like that because of his dorm. He could sing too, but he wasn't as good as Vil or you, so he wouldn't mind learning some singing tips from you.

🍎He wonder why you didn't show your face in the music videos or concerts that you held. It worried him that it was probably a self-esteem thing, but you told him that it was what made you comfortable, so he left it alone.

🍎You offered him backstage concert tickets for your show, so he could enjoy them as well as not being noticed by someone he knew from his dorm or rook for that matter. Your concerts were the best as it was the only time he could be his true self and rock out to your songs.

🍎Epel would send you yummy apple treats + warm apple cider for you as little acts of kindness and to also check in on you since last thing he wanted was your wind pipes to be sore from performing. His favorite song of yours is "FREEDOM", he liked how it was about embracing your true self and breaking out from what people expected out of you.

⚡️Hmph, Sebek wasn't really impressed with a meager human like you. He still couldn't fathom how you were still at this school, despite having no magic whatsoever, but he had seen how determined you were with certain things and also noticed how Malleus would brighten up whenever he saw you, so he suppose he could tolerate you, as long as you didn't cause trouble for the Young Master.

⚡️He discovered your singing talent when he arrived to your dorm, to return a book you had lent to him, only to hear the sounds of the shower running and you singing coming from the bathroom, and it left him stunned. Once you left the bathroom, you were surprised to see Sebek standing in the middle of your room, with shining eyes like he just found the most amazing thing ever.

⚡️Sebek ran towards you and lifted you up in the air, with a huge smile on his face. "HUMAN!! YOU DID NOT TELL ME YOU COULD SING SO WELL. I'M A THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED. OH YOU MUST SING FOR THE YOUNG MASTER WHEN IT IS HIS BIRTHDAY. IT WILL BRING HIM MUCH JOY!" After about a few minutes of him yelling in excitement and shaking you, you told him if it was possible to put you down, which he did with a red faced as he realized he probably made you a bit uncomfortable.

⚡️You told Sebek that you were happy he liked your singing so much, and that you wouldn't mind singing for Malleus for his birthday and that you could also sing one for his birthday if he wanted. Sebek widen his eyes at that as he didn't think you would sing for him as well, and he looked away, red faced saying he would enjoy that in a soft tone that shocked you as you expected him to yell that out.

⚡️Sebek later found out that you were a famous singer from your world and that you had music videos that he could watch if he wanted. Sebek wasn't into the arts/technology all that much as he was more fond of magic and strength, but he would feel it would be rude to if he didn't, so he decided to try it out.

⚡️Sebek later went from being a slight acquaintance to your biggest supporter. He would often leave very long comments in all caps on your music video showing his support, which made you smile, and he would arrive to your dorm whenever he had time to see how you were and not to push yourself since you were still human and didn't want suffering from an ailment.

⚡️His favorite song of yours is the cover of "Senbonzakura". He found the lyrics to be very beautiful and how it was about war and revolution.

So I have a feeling like Bachira is a bit weird towards his fangirls because he just like to play around but will be serious if he has to. So when fsngirls started surrounding him he literally just joked around, he even mentioned having a girlfriend plenty of time!

Sure, 1-A are all very protective over each other. But if that's all certain fans think is between BkDk, then their understanding of the content is so basic. I can't for the life of me figure out why they don't see the very pronounced difference in the way Izuku feels/acts towards Kacchan vs the way he feels/acts towards everyone else.

Izuku feels so much empathy for Katsuki that he takes everything that happens to him so damn personal. Like it were an affront to his own honour, dignity, pride, heart and life. I saw a good post about the anti-BL creators of Western BL flavored stuff like Heartstopper and RWRB that was like: if they are so hell bent on the idea that their stuff is aimed at gay and bisexual men or boys, why did they not bother to look at any media by/for gay men? It’s not like that’s hard to find. Even if you’re just looking at stuff for teens like with Heartstopper author, most of the big YA books about gay or bi male characters are by gay male authors. Maybe try reading those. They’re clearly reading nothing but slash fanfic and maybe like M/M romance novels for women or like, idk, Check Please, and then going Shocked Pikachu Face when it turns out their books are way more popular with female audiences and Heartstopper TV has a famous gay man talk about how it’s clearly not for gay men and not how actual gay boys act.

And like… I don’t think there’s anything wrong with M/M stuff for women, the author of this post was clear that she didn’t think there was either. But these authors clearly wanted to make M/M for men so like… maybe talk to queer men or look at the media queer men are making for themselves if that is your goal! Less fanfic, more Looking or whatever.

It’s just the sheer fucking hubris of assuming that because they are some other flavor of queer and they’ve read some M/M fiction (slash fanfic) that they must know what it’s like to be every type of LGBTQ+ and don’t need to do any research to appeal to that audience.

Curly: While highly sought after for its cuteness and relatively friendly and outgoing disposition when compared to a standard Hatenna, they are very hard to come by due to the rarity of Clefairy and the difficulty in breeding the variant. It is prized for more than just its looks, as Curly Hatenna are often born with a secondary Fairy typing, rather than only gaining one upon evolution to Hatterene. The tip of its hat glows faintly under moonlight.

Lullaby: It sings to calm itself, and has the unique ability to learn the move Sing, unlike other members of its species. Because of this, once it evolves it's a lot easier to deal with than most Hattrem, as when it senses strong emotions, it's more likely to quiet the emotions by putting the offending party to sleep rather than responding with violence.

Sparky: Fans of Pikachu love the look of this variation. Rarely, a Sparky Hatenna will be born with a secondary Electric typing. When this happens, 50% of the time it will keep this typing even as a Hatterene and never gain the Fairy type. The other 50% lose the Electric typing upon their final evolution.

Charged: Hatenna bred from Plusle or Minun tend to be very excitable and love to cheer on their friends. They do however, have a tendency to get shocked or disoriented when the feeler atop their hat picks up their own strong emotions. This variant has a chance to be born with the Plus or Minus ability in addition to the usual possibilities.

Confetti: While it has the same ability to sense strong emotions that standard Hatenna do, Confetti Hatenna are usually only bothered by the presence of strong emotions if they are negative ones. This variant stays calm in the presence of positive emotions. It is thought they are drawn to happiness similar to the way their Togetic parent is.

Masked: Some people find this variant's face to be a little creepy, but there are others who enjoy its enigmatic vibe. These Hatenna give off different fragrances similar to their Spritzee or Aromatisse parent, though this fragrance is pleasant only when the people around it are calm. If agitated by the presence of strong emotions, the smell also becomes stronger, to the point that many people cannot handle it. Masked Hatenna are sometimes, but not always, born with a secondary Fairy typing rather than only gaining one upon evolution to Hatterene.

Poodle: This variant is often valued as a pet due to its fluffiness and goofy look. They are, however, just as skittish as a standard Hatenna and as such often require special care. Poodle Hatenna are always born with a secondary Fairy typing rather than only gaining one upon evolution to Hatterene.

Barettes: While all Hatenna are born female, about 50% of this variant come out of the egg with a look that evokes a male Indeedee more than a female one. Luna: A popular variant highly sought after for its fancy appearance and the moon-shaped tip of its "hat". It has additional sensory organs at the tips of its 'hair' and can sense emotions much more strongly than a standard Hatenna. It is prone to panic if not kept in a completely calm environment.

Fanged: Due to the mutation of its 'hat', its ability to sense emotions is stunted. Because of this, it tends to be far calmer than a standard Hatenna and is only disturbed by the strongest of emotions. It makes full use of its fanged maw "hat" in battle to great effect, and as such is popular among professional Pokemon trainers.

Thorny: Many are enamored of the thorn-like appearance of its 'hair' and 'hat'. However, as the sides of the 'hair' are curled upwards and it cannot use them to balance itself, this variation tends to be a bit wobbly at times. Thorny Hatenna are sometimes born with a secondary Poison typing. The 'thorns' of the Poison type ones secrete a toxic substance.

Swaddled: Rather than fleeing when it senses strong emotions, these Hatenna tend to swaddle themselves up with their 'hair'. The stronger the emotion, the deeper they retreat into themselves.

They will spin around looking for the source of the sudden spike of joy and make themselves dizzy. Some trainers find this behavior endearing.

Leafy: This variation's coloration becomes more vibrant the more time it spends in the sun. Whether the pastel coloration or the saturated one looks better is the subject of heated debate among enthusiasts. Leafy Hatenna are always born with a secondary Grass typing, though they lose it upon their final evolution into Hatterene.

Cottonball: These Hatenna are typically lighter than a standard Hatenna, in extreme cases even being light enough to float. They are popular for their fluffy appearance. Like Bowlcut Hatenna, Cottonball Hatenna are sometimes born with a secondary Grass typing.

Livewire: Similar to the Sparky variation, these Hatenna are sometimes born with a secondary electric typing. And if they are, then watch out! The Electric ones can zap people with the tips of their hair! Helmed: This variation's 'hair' is unusually hard and sturdy, and protects the Pokemon almost like a helmet. The spots on their hats are actually retractible spikes, though due to the inconvenient location they don't really have much use. Helmed Hatenna are sometimes born with a secondary Steel-typing.

Prankster: These Hatenna actually seem to like the strong emotions they sense - but only if those emotions are negative ones. While they may run away like a standard Hatenna when faced with positive emotions, they are just as likely to take action to make those positive emotions into negative ones, typically by playing mean pranks. This variant can be very hard to handle and is recommended for experienced trainers only.

Peckish: This variant behaves very similarly to a standard Hatenna, with one exception: It has a much faster metabolism and as such has to eat a lot more. It becomes upset if it does not have a lot to eat and will even brave high-emotion places if it is searching for food.
